Overcoming Anger - Enjoying Everyday Life - Duration: 28:33.ANNOUNCER: THE FOLLOWING PROGRAM IS PAID FOR BY
THE FRIENDS AND PARTNERS OF JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES.
[MUSIC]
JOYCE: WELL, WE OFTEN SAY THAT ANGER IS ONLY ONE LETTER
AWAY FROM DANGER.
IF WE DON'T CONTROL OUR ANGER, IT CAN DESTROY OUR RELATIONSHIPS
AND EVEN OUR LIVES.
YOU KNOW, STUDIES SHOW THAT ONE IN FIVE AMERICANS DEALS WITH
ANGER MANAGEMENT ISSUES.
PEOPLE MAY BE ANGRY AT OTHER PEOPLE, AT THEMSELVES,
OR EVEN AT GOD.
TODAY, I HAVE SEVERAL PEOPLE WITH ME WHO HAVE STRUGGLED WITH
ANGER IN THE PAST BUT HAVE SINCE LEARNED HOW TO DEAL WITH IT
IN A HEALTHY WAY.
WELL, TONY, FIRST, IS THE PASTOR OF OUR INNER CITY CHURCH CALLED
THE ST. LOUIS DREAM CENTER, AND WE REALLY APPRECIATE HIM; AND OF
COURSE, GINGER'S ON THE PROGRAM WITH US TODAY; AND DAVID GEORGE,
ONE OF OUR PRODUCERS HERE AT THE TV STUDIO.
AND SO, TONY, LET'S START WITH YOU.
YOU'RE JUST SUCH A NICE GUY.
ARE YOU SURE YOU WERE EVER ANGRY?
TONY: OH MY GOSH.
YEAH, I WAS VERY ANGRY.
I GREW UP IN A HOUSEHOLD WITH A MOTHER WHO SUFFERED WITH
BIPOLAR DISORDER.
AND SO, OUR HOUSE WAS PRETTY CRAZY AT TIMES, AND THE FEELING
OF HELPLESSNESS CAUSED ME A LOT OF TIMES TO LASH OUT IN
DIFFERENT WAYS.
AND SO, THAT WAS MY BIG STRUGGLE GROWING UP.
JOYCE: WHAT ABOUT YOUR DAD?
DID HE-- TONY: YOU KNOW, MY DAD WAS
THERE.
I MEAN, I GREW UP WITH BOTH PARENTS IN THE HOUSEHOLD, BUT MY
DAD WAS IN SURVIVAL MODE.
BECAUSE MY MOM'S WAYS OF DOING THINGS WERE SO ERRATIC, HE
PRETTY MUCH SPENT A LOT OF TIME AWAY.
AND SO, I WAS LEFT WITH MY BROTHERS AT HOME, TRYING TO DEAL
WITH THIS MOTHER WHO STRUGGLED WITH THE BIPOLAR DISORDER.
AND I GOTTA TELL YOU, IT WAS NUTS JUST BEING AT HOME.
NOTHING WAS NORMAL.
JOYCE: YEAH, YOU NEVER KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT.
TONY: NEVER KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT, YEAH.
JOYCE: OKAY, NOW, I THINK WHEN I READ YOUR TESTIMONY, YOU
SAID SOMETHING ABOUT THAT SHE WOULD EMBARRASS YOU A LOT.
TONY: HA, YEAH.
BECAUSE OF THE ILLNESS THAT SHE SUFFERED WITH, THERE WERE TIMES
WITH THE NEIGHBORS, TIMES AT SCHOOL.
THERE WAS ONE TIME IN THE THIRD GRADE
WHERE I HAD GOTTEN IN TROUBLE, AND NORMALLY PARENTS
WILL JUST DEAL WITH YOU WHEN YOU GET HOME.
SHE DECIDED, "NO, I'M GONNA COME TO YOUR SCHOOL."
AND SHE CAME INTO MY CLASSROOM AND SPANKED ME IN MY CLASSROOM.
AND SO, IT WAS JUST DEMORALIZING AND JUST REALLY ADDED TO SOME OF
THE FEELINGS THAT I HAD.
BUT THOSE WERE A PART OF THOSE--YOU KNOW, THAT BEHAVIOR
WHEN SHE WASN'T TAKING HER MEDICATION.
JOYCE: WELL, I'M GLAD TO KNOW THAT YOU'VE FOUND SOME ANSWERS
THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD, AND WE'RE GONNA GET BACK TO THAT
IN A MINUTE.
GINGER, YOU DON'T ALWAYS SEE EVERYBODY'S ANGER, DO YOU?
GINGER: DEFINITELY NOT, AND I THINK THAT'S A VERY
IMPORTANT POINT.
BECAUSE WHEN YOU SAID ONE IN FIVE AMERICANS ARE PEOPLE
DEALING WITH ANGER MANAGEMENT, THE REST OF THEM STILL DEAL WITH
ANGER.
EVEN IF WE'RE NOT DEALING WITH THINGS THAT ARE OUTWARD AND
PEOPLE ARE REALLY SEEING THAT YOU'RE A VERY ANGRY PERSON,
THERE ARE THINGS IN ALL OF OUR LIVES THAT WE DEAL WITH ANGER.
BUT FOR ME SPECIFICALLY, I'VE GONE THROUGH DIFFERENT TIMES IN
MY LIFE WHERE, YOU TALK ABOUT FEELING HELPLESS OR OUT OF
CONTROL, WHERE SOMETHING HAS BEEN VERY SERIOUS IN MY LIFE OR
EVEN WITH WHAT WE DO WITH TRAVELING AND HELPING OTHER
PEOPLE, IT'S A HUGE BLESSING, BUT WE SEE A LOT OF VERY
DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES, PEOPLE SUFFERING, INJUSTICE.
AND WHAT I DID WAS START TO FEEL WRONG AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT
IT IS.
YOU START TO FEEL LIKE THINGS AREN'T RIGHT, AND YOU'RE NOT
ANGRY AT ANYONE, YOU'RE JUST ANGRY.
AND I HAD A LOT OF THAT ANGER THAT EVENTUALLY--AND IT'S REALLY
SHAMEFUL TO SAY, YOU KNOW.
IT'S KINDA HARD FOR ME TO TALK ABOUT, BUT IT CAME BACK AROUND
TO I WAS JUST ANGRY AT GOD BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE
I COULD POINT TO.
BUT I HAD A LOVE AND A RESPECT FOR GOD, SO IT WAS HARD TO
ADMIT, "I'M REALLY MAD AT YOU FOR NOT FIXING THIS PROBLEM."
JOYCE: RIGHT, YEAH.
GINGER: BUT WHEN YOU HAVE THAT KIND OF ANGER DEEP DOWN IN
YOUR SOUL AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO WITH IT, IT'S REALLY
PAINFUL.
AND THAT'S WHERE YOU DO FIND YOURSELF SNAPPING AT YOUR KIDS
AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHY, OR YOU KNOW, FEELING DISCONTENT AND YOU
DON'T KNOW WHY, THOSE KIND OF THINGS.
JOYCE: I DO THINK THERE'S A LOT OF PEOPLE, AND PROBABLY EVEN
A LOT OF PEOPLE WATCHING TODAY, THAT THEY'RE NOT HAPPY
AND THEY'RE BLAMING IT ON THIS, THAT, SOMETHING ELSE.
IT'S MY FAMILY'S FAULT, IT'S WHERE I WORK, IT'S MY CHURCH,
WHATEVER IT IS.
YOU KNOW, WE ARE EXPERTS AT EVADING AND AVOIDING, BECAUSE
LIKE YOU SAID, IT'S HARD TO ADMIT, WHATEVER, I'M JEALOUS, OR
I'M ANGRY AT GOD, OR YOU KNOW, I'M MAD AT SOMEBODY ABOUT
SOMETHING, BUT REALLY I DO THINGS EVEN WORSE THAN WHAT
THEY--IT'S REALLY--FACING THE TRUTH IS THE ONLY THING
THAT SETS US FREE.
BUT IT IS ONE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING THINGS TO DO,
AND SO I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL.
GINGER: HERE'S THE BIG THING THAT HE SHOWED ME WAS HE
UNDERSTANDS SUFFERING SO MUCH.
I MEAN, HE SUFFERED MORE THAN ANY OF US ON MY BEHALF, SO WHAT
RIGHT DO I HAVE TO BE ANGRY.
AND YET, HE WAS A GENTLEMAN THROUGH MY ANGER.
HE WAS BIG ENOUGH TO HANDLE IT.
HE LISTENED TO ME WHEN I FINALLY DID BREAK DOWN, AND CONFESS IT,
AND TALK TO HIM ABOUT IT, AND JUST SPILLED IT OUT IN FRONT
OF HIM.
AND HE WALKED ME THROUGH IT IN LOVE AND NOT IN ANGER.
JOYCE: ONE QUICK THING I WANTED TO BRING OUT BEFORE WE
TALK TO DAVID IS I KNOW FROM TALKING TO YOU PERSONALLY THAT
ONE OF THE TIMES WHEN YOU HAD A REAL PROBLEM WAS WHEN
A GOOD FRIEND OF YOURS COMMITTED SUICIDE.
AND I JUST KINDA FEEL IN MY HEART THAT THERE'S PROBABLY
OTHER PEOPLE WATCHING EVEN RIGHT NOW THAT THAT'S KIND OF THEIR
SITUATION.
JUST REAL QUICKLY, HOW DID THAT AFFECT YOU?
GINGER: IT WAS--AS YOU SAID, IT WAS JUST SUCH A SHOCK.
AND MY GO-TO EMOTION--I THINK WHEN WE'RE HURT, WHEN WE'RE
SHOCKED, SOMETIMES, YOU KNOW, WE ALL HAVE GO-TO EMOTIONS THAT WE
MAY BE SAD, WE MAY BE DEPRESSED.
I'M ASHAMED TO SAY MY GO-TO EMOTION IS ANGER SOMETIMES IN
A SITUATION LIKE THAT.
I WAS ANGRY THAT GOD DIDN'T STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING BECAUSE I
KNEW THAT HE COULD AND HE DIDN'T DO IT.
WELL, AGAIN, WHO AM I TO FEEL THAT WAY, BUT I'M JUST BEING
REAL, I FELT THAT WAY, AND I TOLD GOD THAT I DID.
AND I WAS ANGRY FOR A LONG TIME, AND I WAS ANGRY AT HIM FOR
TAKING HIS LIFE, FOR GOD FOR ALLOWING IT TO HAPPEN, FOR ME
FOR NOT KNOWING, FOR ALL OF THESE DIFFERENT THINGS THAT
WOULD KEEP COMING TO ME OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
AND YOU DON'T DEAL WITH IT ONCE.
YOU DON'T SAY, "GOD, I'M SORRY I WAS MAD AND IT'S OVER,"
YOU KNOW?
YOU HAVE TO CONTINUALLY CONFESS IT.
YOU HAVE TO ASK HIM TO HELP YOU WALK THROUGH IT.
AND IT WAS A LONG ROAD OF HEALING.
JOYCE: GOD CAN DO ANYTHING.
GINGER: THAT'S RIGHT.
JOYCE: BUT HE HAS GIVEN PEOPLE FREE CHOICE, AND THE
THING ABOUT FREE WILL IS GOD IS SOVEREIGN, BUT--AND THIS IS
PROBABLY NOT THE BEST WAY TO SAY IT, BUT WHEN HE CHOSE TO GIVE US
FREE WILL, HE SO-TO-SPEAK LIMITED--PURPOSELY LIMITED HIS
SOVEREIGNTY IN OUR LIFE.
THE THING IS HE WANTS US TO DO THE RIGHT THING, BUT HE'S NOT
GONNA FORCE US TO DO THE RIGHT THING.
AND SO, I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT FOR PEOPLE WATCHING TO
UNDERSTAND THAT, BECAUSE YES, GOD CAN DO ANYTHING, BUT HE DOES
GIVE US FREE CHOICE, FREE WILL.
AND THERE'S JUST A LOT OF THINGS GOING ON IN THE WORLD THAT
AFFECT SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS, AND REALLY, IF GOD JUST GOT IN
AND FIXED 'EM ALL, THEN HE WOULD JUST BE A BIG CONTROLLER,
RATHER THAN SOMEONE WHO LEADS AND GUIDES US, SO.
GINGER: YEAH, IT REALLY IS A BLESSING.
JOYCE: OKAY, DAVID, I'VE BEEN HEARING A LITTLE BIT ABOUT
YOUR STORY, SO TELL US ABOUT YOUR SITUATION.
DAVID: IT GOES BACK TO WHEN I WAS A CHILD.
I WAS VERY PERFECTIONISTIC, WANTED TO CONTROL THINGS,
AS WE TALKED ABOUT.
AND SO, AT AGE 12, MY PARENTS SEPARATED, AND THEN THEY GOT
DIVORCED WHEN I WAS 18.
SO, FOR 6 YEARS, OKAY, I WAS IN THIS STATE OF CONFUSION.
MY DAD WOULD COME BACK SOMETIMES.
MY MOM WAS PRAYING THEY'RE GONNA GET BACK TOGETHER, AND THIS IS
WHERE MY ANGER WOULD COME IN WITH GOD.
I WANT THEM TO GET BACK TOGETHER, WHERE ARE YOU?
WHY AREN'T YOU ACTING ON THIS?
AND SO, FOR ME, THINGS WOULD JUST START TO WELL UP QUICKLY.
AND WHILE I HAD THIS CONTROL ISSUE, I COULDN'T CONTROL WHAT
WAS HAPPENING BETWEEN MY PARENTS.
NOBODY SAT ME DOWN.
NOBODY TALKED TO ME ABOUT, "THIS IS WHAT WE'RE GOING THROUGH."
NOBODY ASKED ME HOW I WAS DOING, SO I WAS LEFT ON MY OWN TO
FIGURE IT OUT.
AND SO, MY GO-TO BECAME ANGER, BECAUSE EVERYTHING WAS OUT OF
MY CONTROL.
JOYCE: YOU KNOW, WHAT I'M HEARING HERE THAT'S REALLY VERY
INTERESTING IS THAT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU, THE ROOT OF
THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN THAT YOU COULDN'T CONTROL WHAT WAS
GOING ON.
DAVID: ABSOLUTELY.
JOYCE: WHICH IS REALLY PRETTY INTERESTING.
AND YOU KNOW, OF COURSE, I DEALT WITH ANGER ISSUES TOO IN MY
LIFE, AND I STILL DON'T--I MEAN, I JUST DON'T RESPOND REAL WELL
WHEN SOMEBODY TRIES TO CONTROL ME.
YOU KNOW, I'M SURE YOU'RE WATCHING THE PROGRAM TODAY VERY
INTERESTED IN IT BECAUSE MANY OF YOU PROBABLY HAVE ISSUES LIKE
THIS, AND MAYBE YOU'VE NEVER EVEN SPOKEN TO ANYBODY ABOUT IT.
BUT THE THING IS IS ASK YOURSELF NOW, ARE YOU JUST ANGRY BECAUSE
YOU'RE NOT GETTING WHAT YOU WANT?
SEE, THAT'S WHAT YOU SAID, "I WANTED GOD TO GET MY PARENTS
BACK TOGETHER AND I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY GOD WASN'T GIVING
ME WHAT I WANTED."
AND SO, I THINK IN OUR WALK WITH GOD, WHICH WE'LL TALK A LITTLE
BIT MORE ABOUT IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE PROGRAM, ISN'T BEING
ABLE TO FINALLY WALK AWAY FROM SELF-WILL AND REALLY WANT THE
WILL OF GOD OUR MAIN--I MEAN, THAT'S REALLY THE ROOT--
TONY: THAT'S WHAT IT COMES DOWN TO, YEAH.
JOYCE: OF OUR WHOLE PROBLEM.
IT'S LEARNING TO BE DEPENDENT ON GOD INSTEAD OF INDEPENDENT
FROM GOD.
GINGER: AND IT'S VERY FASCINATING HOW THAT ANGER CAME
OUT VERY DIFFERENTLY IN EACH ONE OF US, HOW PEOPLE, OTHER PEOPLE,
WOULD SEE IT DIFFERENTLY.
WITH YOU, YOU WERE ANGRY AT YOURSELF, RIGHT?
DAVID: ABSOLUTELY, VERY MUCH ANGRY AT MYSELF, NOT THAT I
THOUGHT THAT MY PARENTS DIVORCED BECAUSE OF SOMETHING I DID.
I NEVER FELT THAT, BUT FOR ME IT WAS IN SOME WAY I CAN'T FIX IT.
AND THAT'S WHERE I GOT STUCK FOR YEARS.
SO, EVEN THROUGHOUT MY 20S, WHEN MY WIFE--WHEN WE WERE DATING,
SHE REMINDED ME LAST NIGHT, SHE'S LIKE,
"YOU HATED YOUR FATHER."
AND I DID, BECAUSE IN MY MIND IT WAS HIS FAULT, AND MY MOTHER HAD
TO SUFFER FOR YEARS OF HURT.
AND SO, IN A WAY, SHE NEGLECTED ME BECAUSE SHE WAS DEALING
WITH HER OWN PAIN.
JOYCE: RIGHT, EXACTLY.
TONY: AND YOU KNOW, THAT WAS MY CHALLENGE AS WELL, THE
CHALLENGE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO CONTROL WHAT WAS TAKING PLACE.
BECAUSE WITH MY MOTHER'S BEHAVIOR BEING SO ERRATIC, I'M
TRYING TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE'S OKAY, AND I FELT LIKE IF I COULD
BE PERFECT, SHE WOULD BE FINE.
AND IT JUST DIDN'T WORK NO MATTER WHAT I TRIED TO PULL OFF,
AND IT JUST MAKES YOU EVEN MORE FRUSTRATED, WHICH MAKES YOU FEEL
EVEN MORE HELPLESS, WHICH MAKES YOU EVEN MORE ANGRY.
AND THE PERSON THAT I WAS THE ANGRIEST WITH WAS HER,
YET EVERYBODY AROUND ME WERE THE ONES THAT FELT THE WRATH.
JOYCE: WELL, DON'T GO AWAY.
WE'LL CONTINUE OUR DISCUSSION RIGHT AFTER THIS BREAK.
[MUSIC]
FEMALE: HOW DO I TRUST GOD WHEN I'VE BEEN DISAPPOINTED
OVER AND OVER AND OVER?
FEMALE: HOW CAN I HAVE FAITH IN GOD WHEN I'M NOT SEEING
AN IMPROVEMENT?
MALE: I TRUST GOD, BUT SOMETIMES I HAVE SO MANY FEARS,
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.
[MUSIC]
JOYCE: WELCOME BACK TO THE PROGRAM TODAY.
WE'RE TALKING ABOUT ANGER AND HOW DESTRUCTIVE IT CAN BE IN OUR
LIVES AND RELATIONSHIPS IF WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE IT.
BUT I DO THINK I WANNA START BY CLARIFYING THAT THE FEELING OF
ANGER ITSELF IS NOT A SIN, ESPECIALLY IF THERE'S BEEN
AN INJUSTICE OR SOMEONE HAS MISTREATED YOU.
EPHESIANS 4:26-27 I LOVE.
IT SAYS, "WHEN YOU'RE ANGRY, DO NOT SIN."
SO, IT DOESN'T SAY DON'T EVER GET ANGRY BECAUSE IT'S A SIN, IT
SAYS, "WHEN YOU'RE ANGRY, DO NOT SIN; DON'T EVER LET YOUR WRATH
(OR YOUR EXASPERATION, OR YOUR FURY OR INDIGNATION) LAST
UNTIL THE SUN GOES DOWN."
TAKING THE PRINCIPLES FROM THIS SCRIPTURE IS THAT NONE OF WHAT
ANY OF YOU FELT OR WHAT I FELT IN ITSELF WAS A SIN, BUT NOT TO
DEAL WITH IT IS A SIN.
AND I THINK THAT'S WHAT OUR PLEA IS TO THE PEOPLE WATCHING TODAY.
IT'S LIKE, YOU MAY HAVE A VERY GOOD REASON FOR STAYING ANGRY,
AND I REMEMBER WELL WHAT THE LORD SAID TO ME.
HE SAID, "YOU'VE GOT A GOOD REASON, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE
ANY RIGHT TO BECAUSE I DIED TO SET YOU FREE."
DAVID: YEP, THAT'S IT.
JOYCE: AND SO, TONY, HOW DID YOU FINALLY START GETTING SOME
RESOLUTION TO THE ANGER IN YOUR LIFE?
TONY: FOR ME, I REALIZED I COULDN'T DO IT BY MYSELF.
AND SO, AFTER 9 YEARS OF BEING A CHRISTIAN AND BEING FRUSTRATED
WITH THE WHOLE DEAL, I ACTUALLY WENT TO SEE
A CHRISTIAN COUNSELOR.
SAT DOWN WITH THE COUNSELOR FOR 6 WEEKS, AND SHE HAD ME DO THIS
STRANGE EXERCISE THAT, AT THE TIME SHE TOLD ME, I WAS
LIKE, "THIS DOESN'T MAKE SENSE."
BUT SHE HAD--MY MOTHER HAD PASSED 10 YEARS BEFORE, AND SO
SHE HAD ME WRITE A LETTER TO MY, AT THAT TIME, DEAD MOTHER,
EXPRESSING EVERYTHING THAT I FELT AND JUST REALLY LAYING IT
ALL OUT.
THEN SHE HAD ME MEET WITH MY FATHER FACE-TO-FACE, WHICH
WAS--THE LETTER WAS MORE TERRIFYING THAN THE MEETING,
HA HA.
BUT STRANGELY ENOUGH, WHEN IT WAS ALL DONE, I FELT FREE.
IT WAS LIKE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, I WAS ABLE TO LET GO
OF THE ANGER AND LOOK FORWARD TO MY FUTURE.
I DIDN'T REALIZE THERE WAS A HUGE CEILING OVER MY LIFE
EVERY TIME I WOKE UP AND THAT ANGER WAS A PART OF ME.
AND EVEN THOUGH MY MOTHER WAS NO LONGER AROUND, WHICH I THOUGHT
THE ANGER WOULD LEAVE ONCE SHE PASSED.
IT ACTUALLY GREW STRONGER BECAUSE NOW I DIDN'T HAVE
AN OBJECT FOR IT.
JOYCE: I'M HEARING REALLY WHAT SCRIPTURE SAYS, THAT WHEN
YOU PRAY, IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST ANYONE, YOU MUST
FORGIVE THEM.
SO, REALLY, WE CAN'T BE HAPPY, WE CAN'T HAVE
RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
AS A CHRISTIAN, YOU'RE GONNA BE ETERNALLY FRUSTRATED UNTIL THIS
ISSUE IS WORKED OUT.
SO, IN WRITING THE LETTER, NUMBER ONE, YOU WERE NOW DEALING
WITH THE PROBLEM.
YOU BROUGHT IT OUT.
YOU TALKED TO SOMEBODY ABOUT IT.
AND NOW, YOU'RE CONFRONTING IT WITH YOUR MOTHER, WHO WAS
DECEASED, BUT STILL, YOU NEEDED THE CONFRONTATION.
AND YOU'RE AT A POINT NOW WHERE YOU'RE READY TO FORGIVE AND LET
GOD HELP YOU.
TONY: AND THAT WAS IT, BECAUSE ALL OF THESE YEARS,
I HADN'T DEALT WITH IT.
AS A MATTER OF FACT, IT HAD BECOME SO MUCH A PART OF ME,
I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST MY PERSONALITY.
AND I WAS JUST LIKE, "WELL, THIS IS JUST THE WAY THAT I AM."
BUT SITTING IN FRONT OF THAT COUNSELOR AND FINALLY GETTING
A CHANCE TO AIR IT OUT, ACTUALLY HEARING MY OWN SELF SAY
THE WORDS, I WAS LIKE, "WOW, THIS ISN'T HEALTHY."
AND AS SHE WALKED ME THROUGH IT, THAT EXERCISE ALONE WAS ONE OF
THE THINGS THAT HELP SET ME FREE.
AND FROM THAT, I SAY, "OKAY, NOW THAT I'VE GOTTEN DELIVERANCE
FROM THIS, I WANNA KEEP MY DELIVERANCE AND GROW."
I DUG INTO THE WORD OF GOD AND BEGAN TO READ ALL OF
THE SCRIPTURES CONCERNING THAT, AND IT CHANGED MY LIFE.
AND WHAT I DIDN'T REALIZE WAS IT GAVE ME MY DESTINY BACK.
IT WAS KILLING MY DESTINY TO BE IN ANGER.
JOYCE: THE THING IS IS, YOU KNOW, YOUR SECRETS MAKE
YOU SICK, AND YOU CAN'T JUST KEEP--I'M ENCOURAGING PEOPLE
TODAY, DON'T JUST KEEP SWEEPING THINGS UNDER THE RUG.
FIND A HEALTHY WAY TO DEAL WITH IT.
GINGER, WHAT--HOW DID GOD LEAD YOU?
GINGER: IT WAS REALLY THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD.
I DIDN'T QUESTION GOD'S LOVE FOR ME.
IT WASN'T AS MUCH THAT, BUT IT WAS STILL HIM WALKING THROUGH
THOSE SCRIPTURES OF HOW MUCH HE LOVES US, HOW MUCH HE SEES EVERY
HURT, HOW MUCH HE UNDERSTANDS PAIN, BECAUSE HE ALSO WALKED IN
A HUMAN BODY.
IT WAS ALL OF THOSE SCRIPTURES THAT HELPED ME RELATE TO HIM ON
A DIFFERENT LEVEL.
JOYCE: EXACTLY.
GINGER: AND AFTER--IT WAS REALLY JUST TAKING MY
RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD TO A NEW PLACE THAT IT NEEDED TO GO, AND
FOR HIM, LIKE YOU SAID, TO TAKE ME SOMEWHERE BECAUSE HE HAD MORE
THINGS FOR ME TO DO THAT THAT ANGER WOULD'VE KEPT ME FROM.
THE FACT THAT YOU CAN BE SO REAL WITH GOD, THAT THERE IS NOTHING
YOU HAVE TO KEEP FROM HIM IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP.
JOYCE: YOU CAN TALK TO GOD ABOUT ANYTHING.
GINGER: ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.
THERE'S NOTHING YOU HAVE TO BE SO ASHAMED OF THAT YOU CAN'T
SHOW HIM, BECAUSE HE KNOWS IT ANYWAY AND HE LOVES YOU THROUGH
IT, AND THAT'S WHAT REALLY SET ME FREE.
JOYCE: THAT'S RIGHT.
YOU KNOW SOMETHING THAT I WAS THINKING ABOUT WHILE WE WERE
TALKING AND I KINDA WANTED TO BRING THIS OUT, YOU KNOW, I HAD
AN ANGER ISSUE, BUT I KEPT WANTING EVERYBODY ELSE TO STOP
MAKING ME ANGRY.
GINGER: OH YEAH.
JOYCE: AND SEE, THAT'S STILL AVOIDING AND NOT TAKING
RESPONSIBILITY THAT I WAS THE ONE WITH THE PROBLEM.
YOU KNOW, I THOUGHT, "WELL, IF YOU DIDN'T--IF YOU DID MORE
FOR ME, I WOULDN'T BE ANGRY.
IF YOU DIDN'T ACT LIKE THAT, I WOULDN'T BE ANGRY."
AND SO, I KNOW THIS MIGHT BE A ROUGH DAY FOR SOME OF YOU, BUT
YOU GOTTA OWN--YOU GOTTA TAKE OWNERSHIP OF YOUR ISSUES,
BECAUSE AS LONG AS YOU KEEP TRYING TO BLAME THEM ON
SOMEBODY ELSE.
AND BOY, THE FLESH LOVES TO DO THAT.
IT'S NOT MY FAULT. IT'S NOT MY FAULT.
DAVID: WELL, AND WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITY, I
HAD TO OWN THAT RESPONSIBILITY.
SO, IN MY 20S, IT WAS A VERY BAD TIME FOR ME.
IT WAS BAD IN MY MARRIAGE, I ALMOST LOST MY WIFE BECAUSE OF
THINGS THAT I HAD DONE.
SO--AND I WAS FAR FROM THE LORD.
I HAD THIS JUST VERY ROCKY RELATIONSHIP, BUT THROUGH THAT,
GOD LOVING ME THROUGH THAT AND SHOWING ME HIS GRACE AND MERCY,
THERE WAS A MOMENT WHEN IT'S LIKE, "YOU CAN GIVE THIS AWAY.
YOU CAN GIVE THE GRACE AND MERCY THAT I'VE GIVEN TO YOU AWAY TO
SOMEBODY ELSE.
YOU CAN FORGIVE YOUR FATHER."
SO, WHEN I WAS GOING THROUGH ALL OF THAT, I WAS AT THE SAME
PROBABLY AGE THAT MY PARENTS WERE WHEN THEY WENT THROUGH
THEIR SEPARATION.
SO, I STARTED TO UNDERSTAND AND GET A GLIMPSE OF THEY
WERE HURTING.
YOU ALWAYS SAY HURTING PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE.
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING.
THEY WEREN'T INTENTIONALLY TRYING TO HURT ME, BUT THOSE
20S, FOR ME, I WAS USING IT AS AN EXCUSE TO CONTINUE
MY BEHAVIOR.
AND THEN WHEN GOD WORKED IN MY LIFE AND CHANGED MY HEART,
HE OPENED MY EYES THAT, "YOU CAN FORGIVE YOUR FATHER."
AND IT WAS THROUGH FORGIVENESS THAT LITERALLY MY ANGER FOR MY
FATHER AND THAT WHOLE DIVORCE, IT'S GONE.
I DON'T HAVE ANY ANGER TO HIM.
MY HEART NOW TURNS TO--THIS IS WHERE--I WAS TALKING TO TONY
ABOUT THIS EARLIER, BUT MY HEART TURNS TO ANGER OF, "OKAY, GOD,
NOW ARE YOU GONNA SAVE MY FATHER?"
DO YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?
SO, I START TO REVERT BACK-- GINGER: I'M GLAD YOU'RE NOT
ALL THE WAY BETTER.
IT MAKES ME FEEL BETTER.
DAVID: RIGHT, YEAH, I'M NOT ALL THE WAY BETTER.
JOYCE: I'M GLAD TO KNOW YOU STILL NEED A LITTLE HELP.
DAVID: I DO, BUT I CARE SO MUCH ABOUT HIS SALVATION.
AND WE TALKED ABOUT THIS EARLIER WHERE IT'S LIKE,
"OKAY GOD, WHEN?
WHEN ARE YOU GONNA--" JOYCE: BUT IT'S STILL NOT
ALL UP TO GOD.
SEE, THAT'S THE THING.
WE HAVE TO KEEP COMING BACK TO THIS.
IT'S LIKE, PRAY FOR HIS HEART TO BE SOFTENED.
PRAY FOR HIM TO GET INTO--I THINK A LOT OF TIMES WE SAY,
"GOD, FIX THIS," BUT EVEN OUR PRAYERS ARE WRONG.
YOU KNOW, WE NEED TO PRAY FOR GOD TO SOFTEN THEIR HEART,
SHOW THEM WHAT THEY'RE MISSING IN LIFE, HELP US REALLY BE
AN EXAMPLE TO THEM THAT'S GONNA MAKE THEM HUNGRY FOR WHAT
WE HAVE.
DAVID: AND I HAVE A GREAT RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM NOW.
BOTH OF MY PARENTS, THEY'RE BOTH REMARRIED.
WE WERE JUST OVER THERE ON SUNDAY NIGHT AT MY DAD'S AND HIS
NEW WIFE, AND THEY'VE BEEN MARRIED FOR 20 YEARS NOW,
HIM AND HIS NEW WIFE.
BUT I HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.
WE DIFFER ON PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING, AND IT IS WHAT IT
IS, BUT I KNOW THAT HE LOVES ME AND HE KNOWS THAT I LOVE HIM.
BUT I COULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN TO THAT PLACE WITHOUT FORGIVING HIM
AND THEN GIVING WHAT GOD HAD GIVEN TO ME AWAY.
JOYCE: I TAUGHT THIS PAST WEEKEND IN A CHURCH WHERE I WAS
TEACHING ABOUT MERCY, AND I SAID THIS AND I JUST FEEL THAT I
WANNA SAY IT TO OUR VIEWING AUDIENCE TODAY.
GOD WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO FORGIVE SOMEBODY ELSE FOR MORE
THAN WHAT HE'S FORGIVEN YOU FOR.
I'M GONNA SAY IT AGAIN.
GOD WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO FORGIVE SOMEBODY ELSE FOR MORE
THAN WHAT HE'S FORGIVEN YOU FOR.
AND PART OF OUR PROBLEM IS IS WE DON'T REALLY SEE THE DEPTH,
THE UGLINESS OF OUR OWN SIN.
NO WONDER GOD'S MERCY IS NEW EVERY DAY.
I MEAN, I ALWAYS SAY HE HAS TO MAKE A NEW BATCH OVER NIGHT,
BECAUSE I'VE USED UP ALL OF YESTERDAY'S, AND I NEED A FRESH,
BRAND NEW ONE EVERY DAY.
AND GOD'S MERCY IS SO BEAUTIFUL.
AND I THINK YOU ALLUDED TO THIS, DAVID, EVERYTHING THAT GOD GIVES
TO US HE EXPECTS TO THEN FLOW THROUGH US.
DAVID: YES.
JOYCE: IT'S NOT JUST GOD--EVERYTHING GOD GIVES US
THEN BECOMES A RESPONSIBILITY FOR US TO THEN LET THAT FLOW
THROUGH US.
DAVID: WE'RE NOT CALLED TO BE CHRISTIANS TO HOLD IT AND PUT
OTHER PEOPLE IN BONDAGE BECAUSE WE'RE NOT GIVING IT TO THEM.
JOYCE: YEAH, THEN WE'RE NOT SHOWING THEM CHRIST.
THEN WE'RE JUST--WE KNOW A BUNCH OF PRINCIPLES, WE'VE GOT A BUNCH
OF STUFF UNDERLINED IN OUR BIBLES, BUT IT'S NOT WORKING IN
OUR LIFE.
AND IT REALLY JUST MAKES PEOPLE THINK YOU'RE A HYPOCRITE.
TONY: RIGHT, YEAH.
JOYCE: ALL RIGHT, I'M GONNA GIVE EACH ONE OF YOU ONE LAST
CHANCE IF YOU WANNA SAY ANYTHING ABOUT ANGER, OR ESPECIALLY LIKE
THE HEALING PART OF ANGER, AND THEN WE'RE GONNA NEED TO
CLOSE FOR TODAY.
TONY?
TONY: YOU KNOW, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HELPS ME EVEN TODAY,
BECAUSE I STILL GET ANGRY, I STILL GET THERE AND THE
TEMPTATIONS COME IN TO STILL BE THE WAY THAT I USED TO BE, BUT
GOD HAS TAUGHT ME PRINCIPLES THROUGH HIS WORD.
SO, I'M ON THE 24-HOUR PRINCIPLE, WHICH IS I PRAISE YOU
IMMEDIATELY, BUT IF I CONFRONT SOMETHING, I TAKE 24 HOURS.
AND IN THAT 24 HOURS, I SEEK GOD AND ASK HIM THE REAL QUESTION,
"WHY AM I ANGRY?" JOYCE: THAT'S THE THING.
TONY: I LEARNED THAT ANGER IS REALLY A SECONDARY EMOTION.
THERE IS AN EMOTION DRIVING MY ANGER.
AM I EMBARRASSED?
AM I HURT?
JOYCE: AM I JEALOUS?
TONY: AM I JEALOUS?
ALL OF THESE THINGS.
AND SO, WHEN I LEARNED TO GET TO THE ROOT OF WHY I'M ANGRY, I CAN
NOW TAKE THAT TO GOD AND SAY, "GOD, YOU KNOW WHAT?
IN THIS MOMENT, I'M FEELING HEALTHY--I MEAN, HELPLESS.
WHAT DO YOU SAY ABOUT THAT?" AND HE SAYS, "LOOK AT
HEBREWS 13:5, 'I'LL NEVER LEAVE YOU HELPLESS.
I'LL NEVER ABANDON YOU.'" AND I ALLOW THE WORD OF GOD TO
WASH OVER THAT AREA AT THE ROOT OF IT,
AND THAT'S THE THING THAT HELPS ME IN MY EVERYDAY LIFE
DEAL WITH THE ANGER THAT COMES UP.
JOYCE: I THINK I'M GONNA HAVE TO DO A LOT OF TEACHING IN
THE SOON FUTURE ABOUT THIS, LET'S GET TO THE BOTTOM OF STUFF
AND QUIT JUST GLOSSING OVER EVERYTHING AND GOING ON.
GINGER, WHAT DO YOU SAY?
HOW DID--WHAT DO YOU DO NOW IF YOU GET ANGRY?
GINGER: WHAT I'VE LEARNED TO DO NOW IS TO RECOGNIZE THAT
ANGER WHEN IT STARTS.
BECAUSE I LEARNED THE HARD WAY BY FAILING THAT WHEN I ALLOWED
IT TO GET TOO BIG, IT WREAKED HAVOC IN MY LIFE.
SO, SEE IT, RECOGNIZE IT, AND TAKE IT TO GOD RIGHT AWAY.
THAT'S WHY GOD SAYS, "DON'T LET THE SUN GO DOWN ON YOUR ANGER,"
ALSO IS BECAUSE IF I DEAL WITH IT TODAY, BETWEEN GOD'S HELP
AND WHAT I NEED TO DO, WE CAN CONQUER IT.
BUT IF I LET IT SIMMER AND I LET THE ROOTS GROW DEEPER, IT'S
HARDER, AND HARDER, AND HARDER TO DEAL WITH.
JOYCE: THE LONGER YOU LET SOMETHING GO, THE HARDER IT IS
TO DEAL WITH.
GINGER: SO, I CAN'T LET IT SLIDE.
I CAN'T LET IT SLIDE.
JOYCE: OKAY, DAVID?
DAVID: SO, LIKE, I'M NOT ANGRY AT WORK.
WHEN I GET HOME, IT'S THE KIDS.
SO, I MEAN, THIS IS STILL-- GINGER: AND YOU HAVE
GREAT KIDS.
DAVID: I HAVE WONDERFUL KIDS, THANK YOU.
I HAVE WONDERFUL KIDS AND I HAVE A WONDERFUL WIFE, AND MY WIFE IS
VERY GOOD AT REMINDING ME.
SHE AND I HAVE TALKED.
SHE KNOWS MY TENDENCY TO BLOW UP.
SO, SHE CAN QUICKLY SAY, YOU KNOW, "KNOCK IT OFF," OR SHE'S
SAYING, "WHAT YOU'RE SAYING IS RIGHT BUT YOUR TONE IS WRONG."
WHICH, FOR THE KIDS, IT'S SO HUGE.
BUT WHAT I'VE DONE WITH THE KIDS, AND YOU GUYS HAVE TALKED
ABOUT THIS, IT'S FORGIVENESS.
LIKE, I ALWAYS SAY TO MY KID, YOU KNOW, "YOU KNOW YOUR DADDY
NEEDS A SAVIOR BECAUSE HE'S ALWAYS SAYING HE'S SORRY."
BUT I AM CONSTANTLY, "I AM SORRY.
TALK TO ME."
THE BIGGEST THING FOR ME AS A CHILD,
I JUST WANTED SOMEBODY TO COMMUNICATE WITH ME OVER
EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING ON.
SO, WHEN I BLOW UP AND I LOSE IT BECAUSE THEY MAY NOT BE GETTING
IT, BECAUSE THEY'RE STILL CHILDREN LEARNING,
THEY'RE NOT ADULTS, YOU KNOW, I HAVE TO STEP BACK.
AND THEN I HAVE TO HUMBLE MYSELF, AND I HAVE TO GO INTO MY
15-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER'S BEDROOM, AND I HAVE TO SAY, "I'M SORRY."
THAT IS A DAILY FOR ME.
JOYCE: EPHESIANS 4:30 SAYS THAT WE ARE NOT TO GRIEVE
THE HOLY SPIRIT.
AND THEN IF YOU READ, LIKE, VERSE 29 AND 31, WHICH IS ON TOP
OF AND UNDERNEATH VERSE 30, ONE OF THE MAJOR ISSUES IN THERE
IS ANGER AND RAGE.
AND SO, IT JUST PLAIN GRIEVES THE HOLY SPIRIT WHEN WE BEHAVE
THAT WAY.
AND YOU KNOW, MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD HAS BEEN LONG ENOUGH
NOW AND IS DEEP ENOUGH THAT I REALLY DON'T WANNA DO ANYTHING
THAT OFFENDS GOD, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT IT MEANS TO GRIEVE.
DO NOT OFFEND, VEX, OR SADDEN HIM.
AND SO, I REALIZED TOO, FOR ME, THAT BECAUSE THE HOLY SPIRIT
LIVES IN US AS CHILDREN OF GOD, IF HE'S GRIEVED, THEN I'M GONNA
FEEL THAT.
THAT'S WHY A LOT OF TIMES, IF WE'RE ANGRY, WE FEEL DEPRESSED,
OR WE FEEL HEAVY, OR WE FEEL DISCOURAGED BECAUSE WE'RE
ACTUALLY FEELING WHAT THE LORD IS FEELING REGARDING
OUR BEHAVIOR.
BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS, AND WE ALWAYS WANNA END WITH GOOD NEWS,

NEW WAY OF TAKING TESTOSTERONE??? - Duration: 10:02.[Intro music]
Hey guys, today I want to talk to you about a different way of taking testosterone.
So, we all know the most common one that everyone does is injections.
So there are two types of injections: there's intermuscular injections where it goes
usually people do it in their legs, it goes in your muscle.
And then there's subcutaneous, which goes in your fat, and most people do it in their stomach.
Those are the two ways that people usually administer testosterone to themselves.
The injectable is the most common, I think because it is the cheapest,
and because people feel like it is the fastest and best way to get testosterone in your body.
That is a myth.
I am here to tell you that there are other ways that you can take testosterone,
and I am going to explain them to you right now, but, like, in what I'm doing right now.
So I've been on hormones for seven years, and the last four and a half years or so I've been on gel.
So I put gel on my hand, I put it on my shoulder, it dries, I'm done.
A lot of people think that this method of taking testosterone is not as good,
because the body doesn't absorb it as well, and the changes are slower. This is false.
Yes, there are some people out there who are not able to absorb it as well as others,
but for most people who take the gel, it is well absorbed, and it works as well as injections.
So I've been having an issue where my body, because I sweat a lot, especially because it's the summer,
my body is not absorbing it as well as it does. It's still absorbing it, but not as well.
So my doctor put me on a bit of a higher dose. Now the issue with that is that I have to take two pouches.
I have to take a pouch this big, and a pouch that big.
I would show you, but I can't say the name of the company or else this video becomes not "ad-friendly,"
and I don't get monetized on this video and I don't wanna do that because all my videos are having issues right now so I'm trying to be as clean as I can.
So doing the gel, actually has been great for me, and I've loved it forever, it's just
the issue is I sweat a lot, so in the summer, I have to really time it on when I go on my bike,
if I go on a run, if I go swimming, when I want to shower, if I want to touch other people, and stuff like that.
So, that's the only thing that for the last four years, I've had no problem with,
but right now, it's kind of getting to be a burden.
And I was just curious--I was still going to do it--but I just asked my doctor:
Is there another way that I can take testosterone?
And he said yes!
So I said, he's probably just going to mention the patch.
And the patch in Canada, that we have available in Quebec, is about this big,
and it's basically just the gel we have that's in the middle.
And it's the same thing. There's another way of doing it where it's a
it's kind of like--it looks like a deodorant, where you just put the gel, and you're putting it on your armpits.
But it's basically the same thing, it's the same gel.
But then he tells me: "No, there's something new. For your nose."
What? What?! I was like "excuse me, did you just say my nose?"
He said yes, there is now a new gel, that you can put in your nose, and it goes on this side of your nose, not inside,
like, here, on this part of your nose, and because it goes in the mucosa, or whatever, on the inside of your nose,
it absorbs a lot easier than it would on the skin.
So I'm like, excuse me! No one has made a video about this, no one has ever talked about this before,
I literally don't know one soul who has ever tried this. And he said
"yeah, it's new, it's a month old."
What? What?! I mean it's probably not actually a month old, but we probably got it in Quebec only about a month ago,
so this is super exciting, because I accepted it.
He's like "do you really want to try?" And I was like "yes!" Of course I want to try, because if it works,
and it works as well as injections, and as the gel does, then you guys can try this and it's like, no big deal.
So what I'm going to do, I'm going to show you how I do it onscreen.
So like I said I'm going to be hiding the name of this, I'm going to show you what it looks like,
what the box looks like, ok?
So this is what the box looks like. That's me hiding the name of it. It starts with an "n," I'll put the name, somewhere maybe in the comments or something,
So the video doesn't get like, whatever. So this is going to throw off the whole white balance,
but, basically this is what it looks like, this is what the box looks like.
So this is what the applicator looks like. You like my post-it, to hide the name? I'm going to show you how I do it,
because I haven't done it yet today because I wanted to do it for this video.
And I will tell you that the dose that I was prescribed is one...application, one squirt, whatever
of the gel in each nostril, once a day, okay?
Now, the thing that's a little bit tricky is that if you look at the little paper that comes in that box,
it says that the starting off dose is one application for each nostril twice a day.
And I think that that's because they're focusing on cis men.
If you look at the little pamphlet in your injectable T, and in the gel package, the dosages are always a bit higher
and I think that that's because cis men, I don't know why, but they need a higher dose, I have no idea, this is me speculating.
Maybe my doctor just doesn't know the appropriate dose to give me right now, so we're starting off with just one application
for each nostril once a day. And maybe after I do my blood test in six weeks, to figure it out,
then he's going to bring it up. I don't know.
So I'm going to show you how it's done.
Just so you could see how easy it is, okay? And my big issue was that I was scared that this was going to smell like the gel does.
The gel smells a lot like alcohol, that is actually, for real, something that is very triggering to me, that I can't handle,
I don't like that smell, so it's very hard to do the gel every day and smell that.
So I was really scared that this was going to do that.
So what you do, because the applicator, nostril thing, whatever, comes out from there,
you have to put it on the outside.
So I'm going to kind of show you how I do it, and then, I mean it's going to be kind of boring,
because you won't really know what's going on, but then the gel comes out and it goes here.
So you put it in the nose like that. So the thumb right there. The thumb, whatever the--what is this? Your finger.
You put your finger there, you put it there until it touches the nostril, and then you push.
And while you push it, you go up and down like that, and then...there you go.
So there you go. That was one application. That's it.
And then you do the other nostril, same thing. You go, and you just move it like that [laughs] I know this is really attractive.
And there you go. So now both nostrils are done. So, next thing you got to do is you got to pinch your nose--
oh there's a lot more in this one for some reason woah [sniffs].
You pinch your nose and you go like this, so that it rubs in.
I can't explain the smell to you. It does smell like something.
It doesn't smell bad, but it smells a little plasticy. Like you go to Best Buy and it smells like plastic a little bit.
So, what you do is you're not supposed to blow your nose for another hour.
Oh, by the way, you should blow your nose before you do this.
I blew my nose right before I recorded. Sorry I should have done that.
But, yeah, you do that, and then it should be good.
Right now, for some reason I didn't do it high enough for this one, so there's a little bit that's actually leaking out.
Just don't do this at home, I shouldn't be doing this, but...don't do that.
But you're not supposed to like, snort it up or anything like that.
It's not actually a spray, it's just a gel that kind of coats the outside of your nostril,
and then when you move it like that it kind of just goes together,
so some of it just came out accidentally, so that's not good.
Honestly, but, oh, you're supposed to wash your hands also if it gets on your hands. [laughs] whoops.
So there you go, that's it.
Literally that is it. I will update you once I do a blood test, because I'm starting this off.
The blood test I have to do in about six weeks, and then if my T levels are too low, or anything like that, I'm going to have to up the dose.
The only issue is that this thing is so expensive.
The gel that I'm on is about $130 a month, which is covered by insurance, so I don't have to pay.
I have to pay my deductible, whatever, out of pocket max for every month for, whatever, I don't know what that's called here.
But it's $100 a month for all my medications.
This, for the first month is free. Although I had to pay like $2.99.
Like two dollars and 99 cents, I was like excuse me,
but after that it's going to be $172.
Now that's a lot of money, because that's not covered.
It doesn't go under my 100 dollar thing, and because I'm taking other medications, that's expensive.
Like my hormone blocker, which is $1000, by the way, for every three months now.
Which I am filming an update video right after this video, and I will be posting that soon.
So because my hormone blocker is so expensive, I am going to reach the hundred dollar threshold no matter what.
Plus now I have this nasal gel whatever which goes for $172 every month, so my total
medication cost for my antidepressants, my antianxieties, my hair medication, my whatever, whatever
it's called, hormone blocker and stuff like that, will be really expensive for one month out of three.
But, I think that this will be covered soon enough,
just because it's new, not a lot of people, I don't know, I think it's probably just working into the system,
it's probably going to get covered eventually.
I don't know if this is available everywhere. It might be available in America, I don't know if this company is American.
This company is from Barbados, so America will probably get this thing here.
I do want to say, this box comes with two applicators.
Because the dose is supposed to be each nostril twice a day, you're supposed to be able to use both of those applicators for one month,
because that's how much the dose is, in total.
But, because I'm only doing one, like an application for each nostril once a day,
I'm actually able to use those two applicators for two months, which is really great because it's expensive.
It is like 40 degrees outside and my window is closed. I'm very hot right now.
Okay, so I don't think that I have anything else to say about this. I just wanted to kind of let you know that
there is a new way to apply testosterone to your body.
And I will let you know if it works. If you have any questions, specifically about the nasal gel, whatever, look in the comments below--
look in the comments? Right? Leave a comment? Whatever, ask me questions in the comments below,
and I'll try to answer them as best as I know.
Oh! This is made out of soy. If you have a soy allergy, you cannot use this.
Which is ironic, isn't it? Because everyone's like
"Oh, don't eat soy, it's full of estrogen." HM! Is it now?
Is it now, hunties?
Whatever, okay? I love you guys so much, thank you for joining me, and I will see you later.
Have a great day bye

who would you be?
- Chance the Rapper or Kendrick Lamar.
- [Interviewer] I'll take two answers for that.
- Ok Google, play my barbecue playlist.

- Uh, pretty much any 30 for 30.
That show's amazing.
- [Interviewer] What was it like to kiss Dwayne Johnson?
- Absolutely amazing.
He's perfect. Breathtaking.
- [Interviewer] Seems like you really enjoyed
that experience, Zac. - It was amazing.
- [Interviewer] Ok, so if you tried,
could you remember every name that Dwayne Johnson
called you in Baywatch?
- No. [chuckles]
- [Interviewer] What's your favorite place to hang out?
- Planet Earth.
- [Interviewer] Do you have any bad neighbors?
- No.
Not really.
- [Interviewer] Now, Zac, when you're not working,
what's one thing you love to do?
- Pretty much anything outdoors.
- [Interviewer] Can you be any more specific than that?
- I don't know, surfing, skate--
anything outdoors. - [Interviewer] Ok, what is the
weirdest hidden talent that you're willing
to share with us at the moment?
- Uh, I can blow spit bubbles with my tongue.
- [Interviewer] Alright, so you're going to have to
put on your performer hat for this one,
but what's the best impression that you can do?
- Um, impression?
- [Interviewer] Yep.
- I don't know, once you start the impression,
if you mess it up, then there's a lot at stake
and you have to make a careful choice to even
start to do the impression or you sound like an idiot.
And that's supposed to be Christopher Walken.
See, now I'm an idiot. - [Interviewer] No, the resemblance
was uncanny. Alright, what's your worst habit?
- Worst habit: procrastination.
- [Interviewer] What's your best habit?
- Best habit is I always, always come through
and get the job done.
- What's the number one fitness tip that you have
for everyone watching this video?
- Just, uh, start slow.
- [Interviewer] What's the number one piece of advice
you have for other young actors looking to break
into the business?
- Practice patience. [The Temper Trap plays]
- [Interviewer] You got two minutes of patience for me?
- Ok, Google, set a timer for two minutes?
- [Google] Sure. Two minutes. Starting now.
- [Interviewer] Uh, the pressure is on to finish this up!
Ok, so who is your biggest role model?
- My grandfather.
- [Interviewer] What is your favorite part of your job?
- Probably the versatility of it.
- [Interviewer] Now if you were not an actor,
what would your dream job be and why?
- I would probably be a chef.
- [Interviewer] What's the craziest thing that's ever
happened on set?
- Um, one time I tackled Macy Gray in my underwear.
And it was improv, so she wasn't expecting it.
It was pretty funny.
- [Interviewer] Yeah.
I have no words for this.
- What do you mean, you don't have one of you?
- [Interviewer] If you could have lunch or dinner
with anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
- Ooph, man.
Paul Newman?
- [Interviewer] Ok, if you could imagine any three--
just destroyed your hoop, but--if you could imagine
any three people cannon-balling into your pool
at the same time, who would they be?
- My co-stars from the new movie Greatest Showman, uh,
Hugh Jackman, Zendaya, and Michelle Williams.
- [Interviewer] Who would you love to do a love scene with?
- The Rock.
Finish what we started.
[laughs]
- [Interviewer] What advice would you give
your twenty-year-old self?
[chuckles]
- To be patient.
- [Interviewer] Ok.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
- To be like water, my friend.
- [Interviewer] What's the best advice that you can give
your baby bro?
- Just,
do what I say dude.
Come on, just, like, do what your big bro says to do.
- [Interviewer] All right Zac, so it's twenty years
in the future.
You have a daughter.
- What the heck? That's cra--
[Interviewer] What age do you let her date?
- I don't even wanna go there. It's way too early.
- [Interviewer] Ok, that's a strange question.
- Yeah. We'll talk about that--
- [Interviewer] Alright
- later. - [Interviewer] Later. Fair enough.
Who's your style icon?
- Steve McQueen.
- [Interviewer] What's your go-to look?
- Just classic jeans, black t-shirt.
- [Interviewer] Oh, thank you. - Cheers.
- [Interviewer] What's your favorite scent?
- Uh, definitely Hugo Man.
- [Interviewer] What's the most worn item
in your wardrobe?
- [Zac] Black shirt.
- [Interviewer] If you were to design a t-shirt,
what would you put on it?
- Definitely no labels. [timer Beeps]
- [Interviewer] Ah, I need two more minutes!
What's your favorite food? - Kale.
- [Interviewer] What's your least favorite food?
- Absolutely kale.
- [Interviewer] What's the weirdest thing you've ever cooked?
- Worms in an egg that I found in a tree
over a campfire with Bear Grylls.
- [Interviewer] Oh, what's the most memorable meal
you've ever had?
- That's probably the most memorable meal
I've ever had!
- [Interviewer] If Zac Efron was a juice,
what would be in it?
- Uh, sriracha and a bunch of love.
- [Interviewer] I have to say, this is pretty
good barbecue. - Oh, good.
I'm glad you like it.
- [Interviewer] Ok, what's your nerdiest quality?
- I don't know, is nerd even really a thing anymore?
I don't think so.
- [Interviewer] Ok, what's the most memorable fan moment
that you've ever had?
- My fans rule, so
I have a lot of good fan moments.
- [Interviewer] If your life were a musical,
what would it be called?
- Zac-a-licious.
- [Interviewer] What's your favorite moment
from all of High School Musical?
- I don't know. There's so many. - [Interviewer] Ah, just think of one.
- I mean the finale when the curtains close,
tears me up.
All the-- all of it.
- [Interviewer] Alright. Zac, behind you is a shark I planted
for the next question.
Is it true you once swan with wild sharks?
- Yes. That's not the shark I rode,
but I did ride a tiger shark.
A big one. In Hawaii.
It was pretty cool.
- [Interviewer] If you could change your name,
what would you change your name to?
- Khaleesi.
- [Interviewer] What was your first job?
- Um, I did a small play in Arroyo Grande,
at the Melodrama.
Got paid like two bucks an hour.
- [Interviewer] What song have you played more
than any other song on guitar?
- Um, Santeria, I think.
- [Interviewer] What would your DJ name be?
- Afro Zac.
- [Interviewer] What's the most terrifying thing
you've ever done?
- Um, maybe sky-diving.
Um, I'm not afraid of much, so...
- [Interviewer] Definitely not sharks.
- But riding the shark was pretty scary.
[laughs]
- [Interviewer] If you could be a star in any movie
in history, what would it be?
- The Godfather Part I.
- [Interviewer] Okay, last two questions.
What's it like working with Seth Rogen?
- Absolutely incredible.
Seth Rogen is amazing.
- [Interviewer] Can you do your impression of Seth Rogen,
just like you did for Christopher Walken?
While I walk away from you slowly?
[imitates laugh]
- Aw man. I, how do you even start an impression of Seth?
He's always like, so on top of it. You just kinda of,
you can't really do an impression of Seth
because he's just talking!
It's just the way that he
enunciates things.
- [Interviewer] [Laughs] Okay thanks Zac.
- He's making it seem like you're, it's just,
he's using common sense 'cause this is awesome. Ok Google?
You can't impersonate me. I have the best voice ever,
like, I don't know maybe Zac could do it?
Maybe Zac can do an impression of me, I'm not sure.

Lovers in Bloom | 木槿花开了 | 무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다 - Ep.83 [SUB : ENG,CHN,IND / 2017.09.27] - Duration: 33:04.(Episode 83)
It's our last night here.
Why? Are you sad?
Of course.
This is our honeymoon destination after all.
Let's come back next spring.
Just the two of us.
Why don't we bring Mother too?
You're doing that on purpose, right?
Doing what?
You're saying
the sweetest things to impress me.
I always say only the sweetest things.
Suhyeok.
Cheers.
I hope we're not interrupting.
Of course you are.
You're interrupting in a big way.
What? We shouldn't have come?
No. We're happy to see you.
You're something else, Bora.
I wasn't sure you would.
I wasn't sure I would either,
but here we are.
Won't a marriage license alone make you sad?
No, not at all.
Small weddings are popular these days.
Once we get our families' blessing,
our two families can go
somewhere nice and take pictures.
Her thinking is so sweet.
Geez.
Hey, must you be lovey-dovey in front of me?
How did you hold back all this time?
He must have gritted his teeth and endured.
I'm envious.
Hey, he says he's envious.
Be better to him instead of causing him grief.
When did I cause him grief?
It's actually the other way around.
Congratulations on getting married.
I've been invited to many weddings, but it's
been a while since my congrats was truly heartfelt.
I wish you both great happiness.
I'm sure you two will do well too.
Congratulations, Bora.
Thank you.
Hey. Where are you?
Did you find Bora?
(Sarang Welfare Center)
She was definitely here, but they say
she left yesterday.
What?
So you missed her again?
Anyway, I'll find Bora no matter what,
so don't worry and go to bed.
Where's Dohyeon?
He's in Gangwon-do but just missed her.
Is she out to see her old man collapse?
Dohyeon says he'll find her.
Just consider it a one-time act of defiance.
Otherwise, you'll really collapse.
Come on. Let's go in.
Oh, my. Are you okay?
I'm fine.
Hang on. I'll go get your medicine.
That was hilarious.
Man, I'm tired.
We'll go to bed.
Yes, you must be exhausted.
Good night.
Thanks.
Good night.
Yes, you too.
Good night.
Good night.
Good night.
Good night.
Should we have another drink?
Sounds good.
Are you causing my sister grief these days?
She looks rather distraught.
It's tough, isn't it?
Being in a relationship is hard.
But you managed to seal the deal.
You don't say.
All I had to do was just push ahead,
so I don't know why I agonized.
I feel so relieved
now that I made this decision.
You said you liked Gunghwa because she's brave.
Why don't you be brave too?
My family's opposition isn't a big deal to me.
What pains me is seeing her suffer because of me.
In any case, I slipped up, causing
her to suffer at my family's hands.
That's why I was very mean to Bora,
thinking it was in her best interest,
but it actually made her suffer more.
I was a fool.
Anyway, please take good care of my sister.
Ms. Lee's very worried, right?
As you can imagine.
But Mom has been very fond of you,
so she'll understand.
How will she welcome me though
what with my dad and all...
I tell Suhyeok everything will be fine,
but frankly, I'm very scared
as I know how my family will act.
Bora...
I'll be okay,
but it won't be easy for Suhyeok...
I don't think you need to worry.
Suhyeok seems ready to take on anything.
And he never looks back when
he says he'll do something.
Just leave it to Suhyeok.
He'll figure it out.
Thank you.
But this is better than I thought.
What is?
This must be why people elope.
It's rather romantic.
Right?
I came thinking it was over between us.
One never knows what life holds,
seeing as Suhyeok came for me.
So be good to him.
He went through a lot
trying to find you.
Of course.
Oh. Inspector Cha seems more attractive
the more one gets to know him.
Not as attractive as Suhyeok of course.
Come on.
I don't know what to say.
You're too much.
Cut me some slack for a bit.
Suhyeok and I are just starting out.
You're more thick-skinned than you look.
How did you even think of doing something like this?
I would never even dream of it.
I put everything on the line.
And you got Suhyeok.
Why don't you do what I did?
Inspector Cha seems 100% committed to you.
You ought to hold on to him if you really love him.
Right?
They got married after Suhyeok came looking
for her in a remote town in Gangwon-do.
Will you even look for me if I disappear?
Of course. It's dereliction of duty.
I won't just look for you.
I'll arrest you.
Good grief.
Your professional commitment's something else.
Are you still mad at me?
Are you still angry that I talked back
despite being your subordinate?
No, it's not that.
Come on. You're still mad.
I wanted to be a terrific man for you.
But you made me suffer?
I'm the one who met too good of a man.
They say many women these days want to marry up.
So how did I end up with such a good catch?
You're mocking me, right?
Good grief. At least you're quick to catch on.
I was taken aback that you asked me
to come here with you.
I suddenly came to my senses.
Maybe this is a type of insecurity.
You know very well
marriage can't be a simple matter for me.
I did a lot of thinking even just to remove
my late husband's picture on my bedside.
He's someone I loved,
and he's Uri's father.
But ever since I began seeing you,
I felt uneasy looking at his picture.
Such things compounded
along with the issue of Uri,
so I figured I'd just pull the plug.
I was a coward,
unable to take the challenge head on.
Hearing that makes me feel more ashamed
that my foolish behavior caused you grief.
I was only out to protect you as I felt bad.
I had no idea this is what you were thinking.
When your grandmother said to leave Uri,
I should have just
blamed you and lashed out.
Then things wouldn't be this strained between us.
Moo Gunghwa...
My goodness. Now that I've laid it all out there,
I feel much better.
Wow. The air's so fresh.
What a shame we're leaving tomorrow.
Then let's not go.
Let's stay here together tomorrow.
Good morning.
Taejin didn't come home again?
Oh... He must have a lot of work.
How's Haechan?
Has he eaten?
I made porridge for him.
What for?
Did he suffer an internal injury?
No, but he hasn't been eating.
Something too heavy might upset his stomach.
He didn't have dinner last night either.
Good grief. Let's serve the master.
Why did they make him take all those
group lessons and do this to him?
Mom, just look the other way.
I bet they're even more upset.
Haechan, you should eat.
Are you on a hunger strike?
Stop thinking for now
and start out with some porridge.
The whole family is
feeling down because you are.
Should I leave?
Will you eat alone?
Haechan, eat, okay? Eat.
Don't go in.
I brought him some porridge,
so leave him be.
It doesn't feel right to leave him alone...
It's better to leave him alone at times like this.
I know it's frustrating, but alas.
What if you go and try talking to him
and he refuses to eat again?
Thank you for being so considerate, Mother.
Don't thank me.
I don't do nearly enough.
How upset that child must've been.
What do we do?
About what?
Haechan's school.
He can skip today,
but what if he stays that way?
We can't keep him at home forever.
You're worried about that right now?
Shouldn't I be?
Whatever's happened, he's still a student.
To get him an extended leave,
we must explain to the school why.
What if Haechan's branded a problem kid?
So what?
Your son's a mess right now.
It's not just his arm that's broken.
His heart is broken too, okay? His heart.
In any case, I'm so grateful to Officer Moo.
Taejin told me
she was the one who saved Haechan.
Really?
She thought it was odd
Haechan was alone and gave him her number
so he could call her if anything happened.
Thank her if you see her.
If it hadn't been for her, he would've had it worse.
Okay. Here we go.
1, 2, 3.
Marriage license as soon as you return?
Yes.
You two are our witnesses.
Don't back out later.
Of course not.
Congratulations, Suhyeok.
Thanks.
You're not coming?
We're going to stay a bit longer.
Do that then.
We're off.
See you in Seoul.
Congratulations, Bora.
What are you talking about?
What about Haechan?
Why are you asking me that?
Huijin.
Please go.
I'm in no mood to talk to you right now.
So how is Haechan right now?
How is he?
He's holed up in his room,
refusing to talk or eat.
But how... How could that happen?
That's what I'd like to ask you.
How could you do such a thing?
How could you put Haechan among those kids?
Do you know what they did to Haechan?
Treated him like a bum and bullied him.
And as if that wasn't enough, they beat him up!
Even their mothers
treated him like a dumb delinquent...
Don't worry.
I'll make those women come apologize to you.
Who cares about an apology
when Haechan's in such a wretched state?
This was a matter concerning Haechan.
How could you be so aloof?
I trusted you and sent him, and now look.
How can you say I'm aloof?
What else would you call it?
If you had looked into it better,
this wouldn't have happened.
What made you tell me the kids were top-notch?
I heard the tutor had sent all her students
to prestigious high schools,
even overseas,
so for Haechan's future...
So you put Haechan there based
only on what others told you?
Hello.
I'm sorry, Baekho.
I should've looked into it better.
I messed up.
No, ma'am.
Mother!
What are you doing?
What?
Why are you blaming Mother?
Haechan had been acting strangely way before.
You'd refused to listen when I told you,
so why blame someone else now?
There should be a young couple staying here.
They called, so I came to see them.
The couple that came yesterday?
I think they just went out for a walk.
Thank you.
I'm so glad we came.
Suhyeok and Bora had their share of heartache,
so it was nice to see them happy too.
Yes. It was very nice to see.
It really is very nice here.
Even the air smells different.
This must be why people travel.
Did you used to travel a lot too?
A bit.
I'm envious.
It's been ages since I traveled.
Right.
We've been dating
and yet we never came to a place like this.
You don't say.
You're so dull, Cha Taejin.
Cha Taejin?
What? What?
What else would I call you?
Must I call you Inspector Cha here?
How are you?
You were worried, right, Mom?
But how come you two are...
Your family's up in arms right now.
We...
Bora and I are married, Mom.
Oh, no. She must be very angry.
You did what? Get married?
I'm sorry.
Mom.
Forget it.
Mom.
Mom? Mom?
You got married without even telling me?
Is getting married something you just do?
But you were fond of Bora.
What does that have to do with this?
Her family will lose it if they find out.
What can they do?
Bora and I are in love.
We must face them.
And what if you end up wounded and tattered?
I'll go talk to them, Mom.
Do words get through to those people?
Chairman Jin came all the way here
and threw a fit like he'd kill you
if something happened between you and Bora.
And yet you'll go their house?
I should go.
Are you upset?
I feel bad.
Why would she welcome me?
I should be grateful if she doesn't hate me.
Mom will come around soon enough.
Are you sure you're okay with
going to my house?
That's not the point.
They bore you and raised you.
Of course I should present myself.
I'm sorry.
I'll get mad if you keep saying that.
I feel so guilty every time I look at you
since a wuss like you
mustered so much courage for me.
Suhyeok...
I don't how I had the guts to break up with you.
How would I have lived without you?
You trust me, right?
Yes.
Were you that scared
when I said we should reconsider?
Yes.
My heart sank.
We should just seal the deal too.
Inspector Cha.
Isn't that why you brought me here?
We won't get anywhere
if we worry about this and that.
Let's just do it.
I'll go tell my family I'm marrying you.
I don't have enough for an apartment,
but with my savings and a loan,
we could get a lease.
Let's start out like that.
Why don't you make yourself clear?
It's nice you're being amenable.
Let's tell our families as soon as we return.
Okay.
Oh, hi.
Is something wrong?
What do you mean
compulsory transfer?
Okay. I'll head back right now.
I'm sorry, but something came up.
What is it?
It's no big deal.
But I have to head back right away.
I'll go pack.
I'm sorry.
Don't worry and go get some sleep.
Okay.
Drive safe.
We're off.
Let's go.
Are you going to Bora's?
Yes.
How's Mom?
She's obviously upset.
You're back early.
What about Inspector Cha?
It's a long story.
Wish you luck.
You too, Bora.
Thank you. See you.
Let's go.
So they really went?
How can they not?
And suffer her family's wrath?
Geez, Mom. It is what it is,
so you should've wished them well.
They must be upset as it is.
Did I tell them to upset themselves?
My goodness. You're busy even on your day off,
Inspector Cha.
Where's Detective Han?
In the interrogation room.
Come see me when you're done.
Yes, sir.
Hey.
So what happened?
What's the reason?
They say it's just a reshuffle.
What with my kid's kindergarten,
it's bit of a headache
to move so suddenly.
I'm sorry
I asked you for a difficult favor.
Hey, the matter doesn't concern you alone.
It concerns me as well.
I'm more worried about you.
I hope nothing happens to you.
Okay, okay.
What happened to Detective Han?
Why a sudden compulsory transfer?
And Senior Inspector Hwang insists
you come see him tomorrow.
What in the world is going on?
One of the suspects in the golf range owner's murder
is an associate of a witness of my drug case.
So?
You started digging into that again
when you were sent here because
you wouldn't let that case go?
Senior Inspector Hwang must've
caught on, so what will you do now?
He won't sit back if he finds out
you're re-investigating that case.
I'm sorry, sir.
Sorry won't cut it, will it?
Hey, Jin Dohyeon!
What are you doing?
Let go!
Cha Taejin.
What's the matter with you?
Just watch!
I'll crush that little twerp no matter
what it takes.
Who is it?
Is it Dohyeon?
It's Bora.
What?
You're not welcome here.
Get out. Get out right now!
How dare you show up here? Huh?
I came to present myself, Father.
Present yourself?
Father?
Have you lost your mind?
How am I "Father" to you?
How?
I married him, Dad.
What? You did what?
Is Hwang out to get Cha fired?
What if Inspector Cha really ends up fired?
Mom, don't get married.
You won't marry and just live with me, right?
What have you done to my daughter?
I'll do it, so go on in.
You can't make me into a mean mother-in-law.
Mother.
Thank you, Mom.
This is why raising a son is thankless.
How could she...
Daegap!

Costa not bigger than Chelsea - Di Matteo - Duration: 1:11.It was really an incredible job that he [Antonio Conte] did
because he picked up a team that the previous season
had a really rollercoaster season, ups and downs,
and it didn't really have an identity any more in the summer.
And he gave the team an identity
and made them a really difficult team to beat
and went on to have a really good run and
managed to win the Premier League,
and this year I think they continue and they have a
very good chance to defend the Premier League title too.
[And not too disappointed with the end of Diego Costa?]
They made a decision in the summer
to move on and sell the player so
it looks like they've found a solution now that
probably pleases all the parties involved
the player, the club, the manager,
so that's part of the past.
He's been incredibly good for Chelsea but
as we all know nobody is bigger than the club.
The club will stay there and the players will move on.
