The Astral Elder Sign in Journey to the Tree of Sorrows - Duration: 2:24.
A lot of people when they think about the Elder Sign they think about the Derleth Elder Sign,
the warped star with a burning pillar or eye
in the center. Since it is such an integral part,
I think, in Lovecraftian mythos today,
I decided that, I'd go ahead
and create my own version of that. And so
I looked at the descriptions and
I really wanted to think about, how can I do this justice, how can I
explore this in a different way that I feel hasn't been done quite
yet. Make it clean, and nice, a little bit mysterious,
a little bit magical looking, and this
is the version that I came up with. - I really like David's interpretation
of the star-based Elder Sign because it contrasts so
well with the branch-shaped Elder Sign. Because you get
that primitive kind of historic feel
with the branch Elder Sign, but when you are looking at the, what we are not calling the
Astral Elder Sign, you get a very different feel. You get the protective ward feel,
but it definitely feels like something that was created by
people much further in the future than had crafted
the original, Lovecraft's Elder Sign. And so it
has a very different lineage, it has a very different history to it than
the more primitive look of H.P. Lovecraft's Elder Sign.
The difference between the two Elder Signs and the Journey to the Tree of Sorrows Story
arc is pretty great. The
original Lovecraft Elder Sign really
it's effects are more on the physical side of things.
Like, a Deep One is a physical creature, and
the Elder Sign that Lovecraft created repels
a Deep One, whereas the Astral Elder Sign, the
new version that I created, is more for non-material
type things. So if
its a physical being, the Astral Elder Sign
is probably not going to be what you want to go for, but
it works both ways.

Favorite food~
Well if you know me well, ramen is a staple!
And... If I list all of my favorite food, Inkigayo will be over and it'll be time for us to go home
So I'll just list a few
Braised Mackerel with Kimchi, noodles, Spicy Stir-fried Chicken, Nak-Gop-Sae!
Favorite music! Of course SobokSobok and... So Hot(뜸)! Ah, enough with my own songs

I've imagined myself singing the song so many times

I've actually never been to Namsan
Strange that I've never been there even for filming
So I really want to go
Hang locks at Namsan and there's apparently a really pretty road at Namsan Tower that is good to take a walk
There was a previous question about my bucket list, so to answer to that as well,
Going to Namsan is definitely on my bucket list!

I've never cried while performing onstage
but when I was aa trainee, I was practicing in the practice room with the lights off
and the title of the song was "My Name is BEN"
BEN sunbaenim wrote the lyrics herself and the lyrics sounded too much like my story
I listened to that song when I was struggling and when I was having a hard time, I actually cried while singing the song
This song helped me get past my hardships and is also my life-changing song
So I'm really grateful for BEN sunbaenim for making a song like this
Yup that's my story!
Is there anything you wanted to do at broadcasting stations after debut So Hee? (If you go to Inkigayo, please eat the sandwich at the basement convenient store. Gilgu hyung recommended it. And don't it eat alone but buy some for Gilgu hyung as well!)

There's a funny behind story to this
Of course, I've wanted to become a singer ever since a elementary schooler
But there's a story that made me wish for it more
Was it 2010? When I was turning 8th grade?
I don't remember if it was Superstar K 1 or 2 but there were auditions for Superstar K
I've never learned to sing professionally and I was merely a girl who enjoyed singing
but when I heard the Superstar K was open, I applied via phone and I passed the first round!
But almost everyone passes the phone auditions~
But at the time I had no clue and thought 'I must have talent!'
I can become a singer!' just because I passed
That's when I applied for a singing academy for vocal lessons!
I kept building my dream of becoming a singer by getting vocal lessons
Funny story right? If there weren't Superstar K, I wouldn't have dreamt of becoming a singer more specifically
They always teased me about this story at my vocal academy
I remember people saying "'Eh~ She thinks she's good at singing cause she passed the first round~ She's gonna become a singer~"

Today's topic Give Yourself A Pat On The Back
Hi I'm Doug Holt with Author of Your Own Story and this is your daily growth hack
where each day would give you a tip trick or technique
to help you up level what we call the five to thrive that is your mind your
body your soul your relationships and yes your business so when's the last
time you gave yourself a pat on the back so follow along with me go ahead and
raise your right hand really high raisin high now I want you to do is I want you
to bend your elbow to a 90 degree angle so your hand is behind your head then I
want you to rotate your palm so it's actually facing the ground and then I
simply want you to pat yourself on the back that's right what I want you to do
is give yourself a pat on the back we're often our own worst critics right
we often criticize ourselves for the things that we're not doing the self the
conversations we're having our own heads make us our own worst enemy we've
criticized ourselves on the things we didn't eat or the things we did II
probably more more likely if you're like me or the tasks we didn't do on the
whiteboard behind me I have more things than I could possibly do all week yet
I'm hoping to get them done here today now of course I've prioritized them
because I've learned from my own mistakes but I still have them there and
it's easy for me to criticize myself rather than pat myself on the back for
all that I've already done today or in the past so I'm gonna ask you this
question what is it that you've done recently that you give yourself a pat in
the back and I want you to write that down
and then what you think back when was it another time and I want me to come up
with five five ways that you should give yourself a pat in the back you get bonus
points if you come up with reasons for each of your five to thrive this will
give you a holistic representation of why you should give yourself a pat in
the back what have you done what obstacles have you overcome in your mind
in your body and your soul with your relationships your business if you're a
business owner you definitely have obstacles in your business every single
day and obstacles and relationships because business is about people but
also as a business owner we're often criticized for taking too much time away
from our friends and family so this is something you could think of but I bet
you've come up with a ways around that and ways to achieve success despite the
obstacles front of you so I want you to write down
these obstacles that you faced in the past that you've overcome and the more
you can do the better because what you're doing is you're reinforcing your
brain to discover winds not losses and that's gonna point you in the direction
of winning and winning more often now there's a story that I've heard before
and and I'm actually loved and I tell it often is when you actually look at the
ride to the on a 15 highway to loss of Vegas coming from Los Angeles to Las
Vegas now you're on that road it's just desert for miles and miles and miles and
on that desert there's telephone poles and these telephone poles are probably I
don't know you know three to five hundred yards apart and are meters you
know internationally they're far apart but yet when accidents occur if you look
at the this whole stretch when cars veer off the road more often than not what
happens they hit a telephone pole now how is this possible these poles are
stretched so far apart that it would be so much easier to miss them right you
think statistically you'd miss them the problem is is people hit what they focus
on and so if someone's steering off the road they're veering they do is they
look up at the obstacle in front of them which is the telephone pole and that's
what they're focused on and that's where their car goes race car drivers will
always tell you if you look just a little bit ahead of the track of where
you're going that's where you end up and that's how they're able to zip around
curves at lightning speed this is the same for people that have already become
the authors of their own story they can tell you that what you're focusing on
right in front of you is what you're going to hit and oftentimes we focus on
the obstacles not giving ourselves up at the back so today you're gonna flip that
scrip and you're gonna give yourself a pat in the back and you're gonna
discover and focus on your successes and by doing that you're gonna get even more
that's it for me today remember go out and be the author of your own story
share this with somebody that you love and you care about and now after you've
given yourself a pat in the back I want you to go out and earn another one by
being the author of your own story and inspiring those around take care and
have a great day!
