Waching daily Nov 29 2017

- Hey Rocky here and today I wanna talk to you about

five important tips that you must keep in mind

if you are starting a YouTube channel.

Now I've been using YouTube for over

what, like five years now.

I have a channel, I Love Basketball,

that is over a million subscribers,

over a hundred million views.

And one of the biggest questions

I get from a lot of people is

"How did you do it?

"How did you get started?

"It's so hard for me get traction.

"What can I do to get more views, get more subscribers?"

So in today's video I'm gonna be giving you

five tips that you need to know before

you ever even start your YouTube Channel.

A big tip for being successful on YouTube

is actually doing something that you wanna do.

It has to be a topic, it has to be a channel

that you enjoy doing every single day

because YouTube is a long journey.

Just like any content marketing strategy,

YouTube takes time to grow,

it takes time to master,

it takes time to grow your following.

You can't just put a dollar in a day

and have a million subscribers tomorrow.

It's gonna be a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly grind

that you have to stay consistent with.

And believe me if you can stay consistent,

it's extremely extremely rewarding.

But again YouTube before you get started,

know that it's a big beast, it's a monster.

You're not gonna start a YouTube channel

and in one month get a thousand subscribers from scratch.

It's just not gonna happen unless you get some

special shout out from a celebrity or something.

But other than that, you have to realize YouTube,

just like business in general

is a marathon, it's not a sprint.

So if you wanna have a successful YouTube channel,

first you have to make sure

the content that you're posting

and the channel that you're doing

is about something you love to do,

something that you're dedicated to doing,

and something that you can foresee yourself

doing month after month, year after year.

The next tip for being successful on YouTube

is actually doing research on

the market that you wanna get into

or kind of the area of your expertise.

Are there other people in that space?

Are there competitors?

If there aren't, why aren't there any competitors?

Is it because nobody is searching for this on YouTube?

It goes back to kind of when you're trying to figure out

which marketing platforms you wanna be on.

Do you wanna be on Facebook?

Do you wanna be on YouTube?

Do you wanna be on Instagram?

You have to go where your market,

where your prospects,

where your potential customers are at.

So if your potential customers aren't on YouTube,

then you probably won't find any competitors there.

So don't make the mistake in thinking,

"Oh no competitors are here

"because they just don't know about YouTube

"or YouTube is just too hard for them."

Believe me if your market is on YouTube,

there will be at least one or two people

that are on there and that are doing very well on there.

The next tip for having a successful channel on YouTube

is looking at your competitors

and studying your competitors.

A lot of people are afraid of competition.

But in YouTube competition is great

because it's gonna allow you to grow.

You'll be able to piggyback off of other channels.

But you wanna make sure you do not

full on copy those other channels.

You can never grow a big brand

being the knock-off of somebody else.

So yes look to those other channels for inspiration,

maybe some ideas but attack those ideas in your own way.

Find competitors that are crushing it on YouTube.

See what they're doing well.

What can you do better than them?

What can you improve on that they're doing good?

And mix it all into your channel

so that you can see success.

But don't get caught up in trying

to copy everything somebody is doing

because working for them,

what works for them might not always work for you.

That's why you take some of their ideas,

mix it in to kinda your philosophies,

your methodologies, your style of videos,

and then you do that for your own channel.

So again use your competitors

but at the same time do not be a knock-off.

The next tip for starting

a successful channel on YouTube

is doubling down on what works.

Now it's just like anything in business.

Whatever works, stay doing that,

keep doing it, and maybe stop doing

some of the other stuff that isn't working so much.

So you wanna mess around,

you wanna test different things

which I'll get into in the next tip,

but once you find something that works,

stick to that, stick to what's working,

maybe it's a certain style,

maybe it's a certain topic of video,

whatever the case may be if it works, stick to it.

My next tip to starting a successful channel

on YouTube is don't be afraid to experiment.

Now I know in the last tip,

I said double-down on what works,

but you won't be able to find things

that work if you don't experiment.

Now if something doesn't work that you experiment with,

it's okay, get rid of it, get it out of there,

and keep experimenting until you find

something that works,

something that you can double down on.

A lot of our best videos, video topics

were complete experiments.

We didn't know if it was gonna work.

We didn't know if it was gonna flop.

We just went with it.

Some of our ideas did flop

and guess what?

I got rid of it.

Some of them popped

and grew extremely big and guess what?

I kept hitting those same keywords,

those same style of videos,

whatever worked, I stuck to it.

But still even today

I'm not afraid to experiment

with different styles of videos,

having different people in my videos.

Different types of videos are gonna pertain

and are gonna entertain different people,

so what we wanna do is find the types of videos

and the types of styles of videos,

and topics of videos that pertain

and that entertain the largest audience possible

so that we can get as many views

and as many subscribers as possible.

I hope you enjoy today's video.

Guns of Glory - Update 1.2 Guards of the Council - Duration: 3:43.

Hello guys and welcome to this new GoG video,

I'm happy to be your host today

as we check together the newest Guard features.

Guards are strong and iconic characters that will join

your Estate and grant you great bonuses

once they been appointed to the right position.

Each one is unique and if used properly can be

a game changer in battle.

With that said let's get started!

To begin with I'll give you a brief introduction

about this feature, and then we'll explain

in more details how it works.

The different Guards and Bonuses

vary in range so check in-game if you'd like to know

more details about their abilities.

Just like your Airship these Guards can level up

in order to strengthen their actual Bonus

and even unlock new ones.

The difference with your Airship is that

they don't actually march into battle.

Their Bonuses are applied globally to your Citadel,

Overall the Guard function can be described in 3 steps:

A: Recruit your Guard through the Recruitment Hall.

B: Level up your Guards through the Guard Roster.

C: Appoint them to their position in the Guard Council.

Guards come in three categories:

Regular, Rare and Epic.

Obviously Epic are the strongest.

You will first need to recruit Guards.

The function is accessible in your Citadel

next to your Bank in the new building called the Guard.

Let's open the first tab.

From this window you will see three recruiting options:

Apprentice, Advanced and Master.

When you use the Apprentice

you will get one of the following:

a Regular Guard, a Guard Fragment or Guard XP

The Advanced, when used, will give one of the following:

a Regular Guard, a Rare Guard, a Guard Fragment

or Guard XP.

Finally, the Master will give you one of the following:

a Regular Guard, a Rare Guard, an Epic Guard,

a Guard Fragment or Guard XP.

Please note the following information

regarding Guard Recruitment:

1. The Master Recruitment is unlocked after

you've made your first purchase in the game.

2. You need Recruitment Banners to use

the Master Recruitment.

3. After you have unlocked a Guard,

you will only receive Fragments of this Guard

when using the Recruitment Hall.

Now that you have unlocked one or more Guards,

let's check the Roster tab to level them up.

From the Roster you can see which Guards

you have unlocked.

By tapping on their Card,

you will be able to increase their level with XP cards

and their Prowess if you have enough Guard Fragments

of that particular Guard.

So this is pretty straightforward.

Leveling up Guards will strengthen their main buff

and increasing their Prowess will unlock new buffs.

Now let's check the final and most important point

of the feature, which is the Guard Council.

This will let you appoint Guards in strategic positions.

From the last tab you will be led to the Council.

The Guard Council is composed of eight positions,

which are unlocked at different Castle levels.

Guards can be appointed only

in their specialist positions.

Select the position you wish to change

and appoint the Guard you wish.

This is the most important part,

because this is where you can choose,

which aspect you want to focus on.

Depending on the situation you might want to swap a

Guard in order to take advantage of something quickly.

For example, reducing requirements for research,

So I really suggest you know your Hero Roster well.

That's it for this awesome new feature.

I hope you will be able to master this

and even have more fun.

In the meantime, make sure to Like and

Subscribe to our YouTube channel.

And I hope to see you in-game soon.
