The bitumen is used to give an aged appearance, highlighting

The easiest way to decorate a piece of furniture is using paint.
I like a lot using acrylic paints. They are very cheap and easy

spray paint. Leaves a perfect finish because it does not use brush
because traces of it are not. It also leaves the surface rather
protected. other paints can be used. On other occasions I've used
paint for wood, metal and even wall in an attempt to take advantage of these
materials I have at home or give me. The important thing is to test
before painting the cabinet. Another option is to mosaicism using pieces
tile, stone, glass tiles or other materials.
You can also use wooden boards boxes of fruit and vegetables
for coating furniture. It will be much stronger and appear to be
wood completely.
Now let's decorate the table we have been doing, giving an aspect of
wood without using wood. Let's make cardboard tablitas
simulate wood. I use a thin cardboard, single channel and short strips
five centimeters wide that'll adapt to the surface.
You can cut other measures if you want the tablitas more
larger or smaller. The length of the strips I'm adapting
to look like wooden boards and what I do is go placing them this
, avoiding joints that match one row to another.
These pieces'm sticking with hot glue.
You can do it with white glue but you have to put some weight on.
Once covered the board, I'll do the same with the rest of the furniture,
less legs. We will being so. To paint over these parts
we have to give a layer of white glue undiluted. You can wet the brush
it easier to apply but not dilute the glue. this layer
will seal the surface preventing the board from absorbing too much paint.
Once dry I paint in black completely. Let it dry and if
necessary to give another coat of paint. The truth is quite resultón
well but I'll give an aged look.
So now I need a candle to the next step.
I use a small candle and what I do is go passing by all
unions and parts of the surface.
I then apply white paint using a sponge.
You can also brush but I like the finish that leaves sponge.
Let it dry well
and then we spent sandpaper across the surface.
As we had previously passed the candle, white paint will rise with
ease and give us the aged we are looking appearance.
With a dry brush we will remove all the dust generated when sanding.

to protect the table. I use this wood varnish
It is colorless and glossy finish. Market much choice. I have

mixed with a little water and give at least two layers. It gives me very good
result and protects fine furniture that I've done.
