Hi, guys, my name is Diana and welcome to the November episode of InnoGames TV.
To celebrate the Elvenar mobile release, this month we are giving away some free tablets.
All you have to do is keep an eye on the Elvenar Facebook page and the Instagram handle to win!
Now enough about Elvenar and let's go right to the overview.
We start the show off with Warlords of Aternum showing us their Battle System.
Next, we go to Elvenar who takes us on their journey from browser to mobile.
Next we go to Forge of Empires who introduces to us their new historical questline.
Then we move over to Grepolis with their event, Pandora's Box.
Last but not least we go to Tribal Wars with their new feature, Scavenger Hunt.
Now let's start the show off with David who tells us more about the Battle System in our newest mobile title,
Warlords of Aternum.
Greetings Warlords, today we want to introduce the Battle System of Warlords of Aternum.
As soon as you accept the battle, you will enter the battleground.
The first thing any Warlord must decide, is which regiments will be used in combat.
You can choose any available regiment and deploy them on one of the hexes marked as a starting area.
You can deploy as many regiments as the current battleground allows.
This number is usually between 3 and 5 regiments.
To move a regiment, tap it and it will appear, highlighting all available hexes.
Tap on your desired target area and confirm.
The regiment will move to its destination.
If you are close to an enemy, you can tap it and confirm your decision for a melee attack.
Your regiment will then first move next to the enemy and then attack immediately after.
Select a mage or archer to attack an enemy from a distance.
The grid highlights the area that is in range.
Choose any enemy within range, to command a ranged attack.
The unit is defeated when the soldiers are reduced to 0.
There is a rock-paper-scissors dynamic between guardians, pikes and mounted regiments.
Guardians are strong against pikes, pikes against mounted regiments and mounted against guardians.
Ranged units also do bonus damage against specific unit types.
If you forget during a battle, just look for the little crosshair icon on enemy units to identify vulnerable enemies.
Once a regiment reaches its first star level, its passive and active abilities are unlocked.
Passive abilities don't have to be triggered, while active abilities can be used once per battle.
Lila's archers, for example, can send a rain of fire upon their enemies.
Tap Lila's archers and select the ability on the left-hand side of the screen.
The grid highlights all possible areas to trigger the effect.
Tap on a valid hex and an area of effect will be displayed.
Confirm it to burn your enemies,
The fire effect will damage enemies at the beginning of their turn and will also heavily reduce their movement.
Terrain can tip the scales of any battle outcome.
Use it wisely to lead your troops to victory.
Attacking downhill will increase all attack damage dealt by 50%.
You can move your regiments to the forest
to reduce incoming attack damage by 50%.
If a regiment has suffered heavy losses, try to navigate it through a village tile nearby,
so it can recover soldiers at the start of its turn.
There are special abilities that can be used to great strategical advantage
by using surrounding terrain. Royal pikes can cease position from an enemy.
Move your Royal Pikes next to an enemy, select cease position and then tap on the target enemy.
Your pikes will then swap the hex with the chosen enemy.
This way you can pull an enemy from higher ground our out of a defensive forest, while dealing extra damage
if your pikes move up on the hill.
Share your tactics on the official game forum,
and let your battle stories inspire new Warlords on their conquest.
Thank you for that David, now let's go to the Elvenar team who tells us more about how they transitioned
the game from browser to mobile.
Hello Elvenar players, this is Timon and Jonas from the Elvenar team. Today, we have the pleasure to finally
unveil Elvenar Mobile.
Timon, let's show them our feature set and guide them through the game.
I don't know if I can show all the amazing features in such a short video, but I can try.
First of all, of course, you can use your existing browser account
and switch between browser and mobile gameplay as you wish.
So, this is how collection looks like in the game.
Look at the amazing effects, it is just more fun to collect coins on mobile than on browser, isn't it?
I agree, and I have to add, the whole look and feel is different. It is more fun to use.
The mobile version gave us plenty of opportunities to add little effects and tweaks to the features.
The quest system is also implemented, you can find all quests on the panel on the left.
And to make it more convenient to use, you can show or hide the quest texts as you'd like.
That's nice and as you can see, we implemented all the standard actions such as produce, move buildings
and, of course, build new ones.
Yes, we really tried to implement as many features as possible for the launch version.
And most of the features made it in, even the Fellowships and the chat.
I remember, these features were not available back then when Elvenar launched on the browser.
It's nice to have them in right from the start.
Of course, we have the world map too, you can scout and enter provinces, but what I like the most is giving
neighborly help, like this. Wow! that's super fast!
Why don't we have this in the browser?
Timon, we had an agreement that you won't ask this question as if you wouldn't know...
Since we implemented all the features from scratch,
we used the chance to do some improvements, we just don't have on the browser yet.
So, this basically means, that while the mobile version does not feature all the stuff from the browser version,
in some aspects it might even be ahead.
True, but of course we are working on getting both versions in sync.
Bringing together the best of two worlds, so of say.
Alright folks, the mobile version is ready for launch. Check your forum to find out when it will be available
in your country. Look forward to regular updates that will bring the mobile version step by step closer to the
complete feature set. More than ever, we need your feedback on this one. So I'm looking forward to read
your comments in the comments section and in the forums. Until next time, keep on playing, on the go!
Now lets change gears and go to the Forge of Empires team, who tell us
more about their new historical questline, focusing on Rosa Parks.
Good day boys and girls, this is Thi and I am Kai and let me check my watch. Good golly!
It's time for a moment in history, and this time we will talk about a courageous woman who:
- Was part of the civil right's movement - Fought for racial equality in the US - And refused to give up her seat in a bus.
Thi, why won't you tell us more about this amazing woman!
Why certainly Kai, as you probably guessed by now our next historical questline will highlight the life of Rosa Parks
who has been called the mother of the freedom movement.
Relive her courageous life in twelve quests and win several rewards on your way.
After four quests you will receive a new time reduction item, that reduces the production time of all your workshops.
When you finish eight quests, you will win a storage building item, which allows you to make more
space in your city for the final reward, The Royal Cascade building.
You will win this new building once you solve the whole questline.
The Royal Cascade building provides coins and happiness plus seven random goods from your era
once it is motivated. Finally, you will also receive Rosa Parks' avatar if you succeed.
We hope you have fun with this little history lesson and enjoy playing the historical questline.
As always, not only will you receive wonderful rewards but you will also gain knowledge! Until next time.
Up next, a title we haven't seen in a while, Grepolis!
Bernard tells us more about their newest event: Pandora's Box.
Hi guys, this is Bernard, game designer for Grepolis.
I'm here to present you with our very new event, Pandora's Box. Let's jump right into it.
In this new event, Pandora's Box mysteriously appears in your temple, releasing evil spirits to pester your citizens.
Your task is to send your armies on special missions to capture the spirits and close it.
In the box tab, you can see the number of spirits that are still out there
and the reward you will get for closing Pandora's Box.
In the missions' tab, you are able to pick between different missions to send your armies on.
But keep your eyes on the hints, as the unit selection is key to increase the chances of capturing spirits.
Every time you complete a mission, you will be rewarded with honor points for the daily ranking, and spirit powder.
You can use the spirit powder to acquire awesome rewards in the shop.
The top three players with the most honor points will receive exclusive rewards daily!
After capturing 7 spirits, you will be able to close Pandora's Box but don't think the event is over!
A mysterious power keeps opening the box over and over again.
There are special rewards given out for closing 10, 20, 30 and 40 boxes.
So get out there and send your troops!
Hope you enjoyed our new event and as always: See you in game!
Last but not least, we go to the classic Tribal Wars and their new feature, the Scavenger Hunt!
Hello everybody, my name is Andreas and this is Thomas from Tribal Wars.
Today we'd like to talk about our new upcoming feature called Scavenging. Let's have a look.
The Scavenging Feature provides an additional option for you to gather resources.
It will be unlocked by a short questline and can be found at the Rally Point of each of your villages.
At the Rally Point, you will find a scavenging tab, which will show you the overview of the scavenging options.
Each option needs to be unlocked individually.
Each option will allow you to send out your troops to scavenge for resources. Each option will differ in length
and by that determine how many resources your troops will bring back.
Once you have given a scavenge command, you cannot cancel it anymore,
so your troops will only return when the time is over.
For scavenging, you can use any type of unit that has a carrying capacity.
So, just the same units that would be used for farming.
In the case your village is conquered, your units will disappear and not return to the new owner.
So, this is how the feature works. We also wanted to talk a little bit about why we are implementing the feature.
Basically, in Tribal Wars the best way to get resources is by farming, attacking other players or barbarian villages.
But we noticed that some players have some trouble keeping up and we wanted to add an option
if you are a little bit less active, have fewer troops or your neighborhood is not that great, to still be able to collect
resources and potentially to catch up or to use your troops
a little bit differently and this is what scavenging is about.
Let us know what you think of the feature, you can go and comment on the forum and we will see you in the game!
So that was it for the November episode of InnoGames TV.
