Waching daily Nov 6 2017

So in my opinion, the Guardians of the Galaxy cosmic side of the MCU is one of the most

interesting parts of this universe.

And now that we're diving into that even more with Ragnarok and Infinity War, the third

Guardians of the Galaxy film has a lot to live up to.

Plus Marvel has done pretty well with their trilogies thus far, especially the endings

of them.

So today I thought I'd talk about everything I wanna see in the next Guardians film.

Let's get into it.

Adult Groot again So in Guardians 1 we were introduced to normal

Groot, Guardians 2 we got Baby Groot, and now in Infinity War we're getting Adolescent

Groot.

And while I've enjoyed the versions we've got so far and I'm interested to see what

teen Groot is like, for the third entry to round out this circle, let's have Adult

Groot again.

I mean as cute as Baby Groot was, my favorite version so far is definitely the first, who

even without being super adorable still managed to get just as many laughs.

Also, while it's a fun dynamic with the team all caring for Groot like their own small

child, I really miss the Rocket and Groot dynamic from the first film, and even though

I know he's a new Groot with different memories or something, I'm sure they can still have

a similar relationship going forward.

Have an Avenger in there Now this is not a requirement at all, cuz

the Guardians work really well as their own team.

But just as an option, after they've crossed paths with the Avengers, I think maybe it

could be cool to have one tag along.

I'm thinking either Thor or Hulk, cuz Thor clearly works really well in space and with

weirder characters as we saw in Ragnarok, and Hulk cuz he can't have his own movie

and we've already seen him with the Avengers, so having him go on to crazier adventures

elsewhere could be fun.

Plus I feel like we've already seen everything the Hulk can do on Earth, that being smash

buildings, be sad, and get chased by the military.

Plus I feel like it would be kinda weird if the Guardians and the Avengers come together

to stop this impossible universe destroying threat and then just don't really keep in

touch afterwards.

I'm not saying they need to be constantly referencing and calling the Avengers, but

just having some line of contact between them seems to make the most sense to me.

Have the group functioning properly (not always fighting again)

So look, I totally understand why this was a thing in the first two films.

First one, these characters are coming together, so of course they're gonna have their differences

and not get along that well.

Second one, the excuse I've heard a lot is they're a developing family and family's

have fights all the time, and that's totally believable.

The arguments between Peter and Rocket felt really natural and I liked that part.

But now, let's have them not at each other's throats again.

Of course there has to be a little internal conflict, but if once again Rocket's like

"you're a douchebag Peter" and he's throwing back more insults not in a fun lighthearted

way, that's gonna feel a little repetitive and forced.

We've seen them fight and kind of earn each other's friendship and respect, now it's

time to see them functioning really well as both a team and a family.

Keep being weird/don't try to get more grounded Now this is one that I'm not very concerned

about, because with James Gunn this is definitely gonna happen.

But I'll just put it out there anyway, again, I love this side of the MCU because its so

weird and crazy and colorful and just different.

In fact that's one of the few things I liked more about Guardians 2 than Guardians 1, this

universe is massive and super weird.

So keep it that way.

Don't try to have a more grounded story, have the weirdest stuff you can think of.

Last movie Star-Lord got Celestial powers and literally fought a planet.

That's awesome and I'd love to see more of that kind of thing.

Adam Warlock's gonna be in it, which could be cool.

As far as who to cast, people have said Ansel Elgort, uhh maybe.

But my point is, introduce new characters that add to the craziness of this universe.

Like MODOK for example.

I know he's more of an Earth-based villain originally, but I feel like he fits in much

better with the Guardians than he does the Avengers.

Stuff like that, to keep this fresh and still interesting by staying really creative with

all this would be great.

Red Skull cameo Ok, this is a very small thing that doesn't

need to be in the movie, it's just something I think would be cool to see.

I've said this many times before, but at the end of The First Avenger, spoiler alert

for that 6 year old movie I guess, I don't think the Red Skull actually dies.

He picks up the Tesseract and then it kind of melts him away and shoots off into space

or something.

Look, it's vague enough that you could say, oh yeah it teleported him into space somewhere,

since that's kind of its power anyway.

So I'm not even saying a large role, but if we can just see a cameo from the Red Skull

somewhere, have him pop up on whatever planet the Guardians visit this time.

I was thinking they might do that in Ragnarok, where maybe he gets killed really quickly

against the Hulk in a gladiator match or something.

But here, just having him show up again and maybe get killed for real I just feel would

be a fun nod and way of really tying the more grounded MCU to the cosmic side.

So that was what I wanna see in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

The Beatles: Yesterday lyrics (COVER) - Duration: 2:16.

Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away.

Now it looks as though they're here to stay.

Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly I'm not half the man I used to be.

There's a shadow hanging over me.

Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

Why she had to go, I don't know, she wouldn't say.

I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday love was such an easy game to play.

Now I need a place to hide away.

Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Why she had to go, I don't know, she wouldn't say.

I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Making Deep Dish Pizza Detroit Style || Food/Groups Motor City's Deep Dish - Duration: 9:54.

- Chicago deep dish or Detroit deep dish, what's your--

- Oh no, Detroit deep dish, by far.

Chicago is like a mood, that's like an event,

you know what I mean, you don't go on cruises all the time.

I don't know how you eat that more than,

like, once a month maybe?

- Yeah.

(laughs loudly)

- When I say deep dish pizza, you probably think Chicago

and with good reason, but with all due respect

to the Windy City's pizza pedigree,

it's just not the only deep dish in the Midwest.

See, there's another Midwestern city

near another Great Lake that has

a totally different deep dish tradition.

Welcome to Detroit,

where the pies are rectangular, the pans are steel,

and the people, well, the people have a thing

or two to say about the other deep dish.

- Chicago is really what Detroit is up against.

- Since World War II, the Motor City

has been pumping out right-angled pies

its own damn way and in the pan, the appeal

of Detroit-style deep dish is obvious.

It's got the crispy, caramelized edges.

It's got the toppings and the cheese

that then go under the red sauce,

which is a little unorthodox, but stylistically

about as close to pizza perfection as you can get.

But what about metaphorically?

Beneath the greasy surface are all the potent ingredients,

the anger, the insecurity, the defiance,

and most importantly the piping hot pride

that defined Detroit and the 700,000

plus souls that call it home.

Hey Chicago, how's that for deep?

- Back in the '40s, Buddy's Rendezvous

on 6 Mile straight-up invented

what would be come to be known as Detroit-style pizza.

So, we picked up some pies there

and brought them to the East Side

to share slices, beers, and pizza history

with some born-and-raised Detroiters.

(people laughing)

- My uncle used to work with the original Domino's

in Ypsi, that was his first job.

- Aaron Foley is the chief storyteller

for the city of Detroit, a position

in the mayor's office tasked with,

well, telling the city's stories.

He and his friend, performing artist Lee Payne,

had plenty to say about Detroit's complicated pizza legacy.

- You know what, I'm pro-fucking-black.

- I'm not going to stop eating pizzas

because a white person started it,

but you know where all this easy and cheap,

yet innovative food comes from?

It spun off from the auto industry.

When you had all these factory workers

who weren't making that much,

but still needed to take their lunch breaks.

- Yeah.

- All these different pizza makers

they figured out how to widely produce this product

on a mass scale the same way, like,

Henry Ford and all the other auto barons figured out

how to mass produce a vehicle.

So, even like, delivery, delivery

of pizza can be traced back here.

It does sort of bother Detroiters when you see

the Detroit brand outside of Detroit because

we're so protective of the things that we innovated here.

- Everything in Detroit has been sold out.

- That's the whole point, is that we got some shit

that's unique to Detroit, that you can't replicate

anywhere else and that's what makes us

proud to be Detroiters.

- It's this style of pizza, it explains every ounce

of aggression, that apparently Detroiters have.

It explains every ounce of rudeness.

This is ours, this neighborhood is ours.

There are schools, are ours.

The crack head down the street who fix your tires

when it blows, he is ours.

This is ours.

- It's safe to say they take their pizza

seriously here in Motor City. Can you blame them?

We drove out to 9 mile to meet James Rigato,

the chef and owner of James Beard

nominated Mabel Gray Kitchen.

He cooks this kind of food, not pizza,

but he's convinced Detroit's pizza past

and the attitude that bred it is crucial

to the city's culinary future.

- Detroit was the canary in the coal mine,

ya know, GM goes bankrupt, and the whole nation

was like, let Detroit burn.

The guys and girls that stayed, you know,

there's definitely a chip on their shoulder,

you know, there's grit in our teeth.

- Yeah.

- You know, I think Detroit as a whole, we got

a Rocky Balboa mentality, you know what I'm saying?

We'll take a few more punches to the face

in order to figure out what not to do,

you know what I'm saying?

We're not afraid to get our hands dirty,

we're not afraid of anything.

So my goal is to kind of like rope all the chefs together

to kind of have a narrative and develop a cuisine.

- Yeah.

- We have the sliders.

- Yup.

- Ya know, we have the coney and we have

the Detroit square pizza, that's kind of like

our Holy Trinity.

- If you want top of Detroit square,

Loui's is the best example.

- Yeah.

- When a chef like James says a place has good pizza,

you eat that pizza.

So we took a quick drive across Hazel Park,

a metro Detroit suburb, to the place that serves

James' favorite pie in town: Loui's.

- Hazel Park is dope and Loui's is like pretty much

the reason why and I just wanted to join the party.

I often say, Hazel Park was already having a party,

I just rolled in with a keg.

- There ya go.

- This is proven, this is like what will never change.

- Yeah.

- This is like the food equivalent of the Model T.

- Founded by a former Buddy's cook,

Loui's has been slinging Detroit deep dish

for over half a century, and it turns out James was right.

The pizza is outrageous.

- We were like--

- The best.

- Nick Sulkiwskyj is a third generation owner.

While I scarfed down his award-winning pizza,

he told us about the crucial components

of the Detroit style pie.

The right cheese, the right dough, and the right pan.

- We have the dough--

- The cheese is special, right?

- The cheese is special, it's not mozzarella.

It is brick cheese, the cubes melt perfectly

with the 650 degree ovens.

- They kind of bench it a little bit in the pan.

And then those ovens, the stone ovens,

you know you see how old and beautiful they are--

- Yup.

- You know, and the obviously the sauce on top

prevents that moisture barrier from weighing

the dough down so the dough gets that jump

The hot pan and the hot oven allow it

to get that crispy bottom.

- Yup.

- But you still behave like focaccia on the in between.

- That's Detroit-style pizza.

- Yeah.

- So tell me about the blue steel pan.

- Well it actually started off as an automotive,

like a drip pan and um--

- Like from the factories.

- Yeah they started burning out the blueing in it

and started cooking pizzas in it.

The height is perfect for the high walls.

- How many Chianti bottles do you think are on the wall here?

- Oh, I, we've stopped counting so long ago.

I mean, we had a plethora of bottles up here and we--

- I have seven--

- collapsed the walls--

- At least seven.

(loud laughing)

- Chianti bottle emptied, pizza devoured

we left Loui's behind and headed to Hamtramck,

where the city's vibrant Middle Eastern community

is thriving.

- We just wanted to have, um, a pizzeria

that offered Halal options for our Muslim customers.

We wanted to make sure that there was something

that represented the core of Detroit.

- So our very first one we got is the Tandoori pizza.

Next on the list is the Naga pizza,

cilantro, red onions and chicken.

And this is the dry fish pizza.

Brace yourselves--

- Oh wow, yeah.

Joining us is Jon Moy, writer, Renaissance man,

and born and raised Detroiter, who considers himself

one of Amar's number one fans.

- I mean, I think, like, the story of Detroit,

you can't really escape the story of immigration

because of the auto industry.

Everyone was coming here at certain points.

For better or for worse, the only real entry way

a lot of times, is the food or service industry.

- I just had a bite of that.

- It's so good, right?

- Oh my God, it's good.

- Yeah.

I think a lot of people who are good businesspeople

just make a shrewd decision, like what will be in demand

all the time and it's like pizza.

Immigrants can sort of reshape America in their way.

This way can sort of, no, we're gonna make pizza work for us

and you're gonna like it.

You want your city to represent, you know,

the community and not just people who have money.

You know, like could Amar's charge $28 for a pizza?

There has always been this conception amongst

a lot of immigrant business owners

that we just can't get away with charging that, right?

And so, when you look at what people are willing

to spend their money on, hard-earned money on,

there often aren't seats at the table for everyone.

- This style is just as unique as seeing five to six

50 to something year old black men in pastel-ass suits

and pastel-ass gaiters walking down to Greektown

or walking to the gas station.

That is a very unique Detroit thing.

It's about this being something of the city itself.

- That's a huge part of what Detroit is,

is we've always had to hustle.

We've always had to make do with less.

We've always had to make a way out of no way

and that sort of mindset, that sort of mentality,

permeated its way into many different industries.

Automotive, manufacturing, pizza.

- A way out of no way, the overlooked way,

the underrated way.

The way that has too much pride to care,

that's Detroit's way and that's Detroit pizza.

Kettlebell Swing Your Way to a Better Butt - Duration: 5:05.

yes that is a nice one Oh ladies and gentlemen I've been doing some research

into human mating rituals and I discovered something most intriguing it

would seem that both men and women are attracted to human butts to further test

this theory I've gathered an expert panel of celebrity impersonators let's

get their opinion. I like the butts, I like them too however my research shows that butts are

starting to become endangered the source of this dangerous trend seems to be

sitting on them all day creating a plethora of dysfunctional buttocks such as

flat butt, no butt, droopy butt, smelly butt, I... I don't

even know what the hell this is some people are even known to have a large

crack running right down the middle of their butts ladies and gentlemen there

is only one cure for endangered butts the kettlebell swing

if you are looking to tone or build up your buns the kettlebell swing is one of

the best glute exercises around there's even a term for people who do a lot of

kettlebell swings it's called "kettlebell butt" several my

female clients have received compliments on their posteriors after doing

kettlebell swings regularly for several months

so can you

the first thing we need to understand is that the glutes are very

strong muscles with tremendous leverage using little tiny weights is not going

to engage them we need to use heavy but safe weights to hit the glutes next

don't be a low back swinger allowing the kettlebell to swing at or below knee

level is a surefire way to overload your low back and minimize glute activity

instead we need to keep the kettlebell higher closer to your groin to fix this

don't sit your hips back so soon wait until the kettlebell is about to hit you

in the groin before you do your sit back or your hike pass another way to think

about it is to wait until your arms connect to your ribs before you sit your

hips back don't be a late swinger don't let the kettlebell swing forward before

you contract those glutes and drive the hips forward just remember this on the

backswing that kettlebell moves first then the hips on the way forward the

hips move first then the kettlebell gets pulled just like a wrecking ball on a crane

if you want to build those glutes you need to use fairly heavy weight it can

be a single kettlebell or if you're more advanced you can use doubles you want to

create fatigue in your glutes by tensing them on every rep how do you contract

your glutes you may be asking a cue often used with beginners is to pinch a

quarter between your butt cheeks every time you snap your hips forward pinch a

quarter then relax the glutes on the backswing now as you progress you want

to learn to feel the entire glute muscles contract on each repetition the

upper glutes the outer glutes the inner glutes and the lower glutes the entire

buttocks make sure to get a nice back swing so you can put some stretch into

your glutes this will really help activate them and finally the most

important tip is to focus on the technique pointers before adding a lot

of weight and a lot of reps if you're a low back swinger a late swinger or just

a swinger in tight pants your glute development will never be optimal fix

that technique ladies and gents for a small investment of your time you too

can have buns of steel about two three days a week just do about four to ten

minutes of kettlebell swings I recommend a fairly moderately heavy weight do sets

of twenty to maybe 30 repetitions take brief rest breaks really try to feel

tension and fatigue in your glutes and in short handful of months your derriere

shall lift shape and build up if you liked this video and you'd like to see

future videos like it please leave a comment subscribe and of course hit the

bell icon so that you can be alerted when future videos like this come out

until next time go swing your way to a better butt. the source of this dangerous

trend seems to be sitting on them all day creating a dysfunctional

plethora of dysfunctional... dysfunctional-ness
