And I am here talking to Mr. Anton Vasin who will introduce us
Serenity Financial project
Anton,
what is the essence of your project?
Hello to everyone!
The subject matter of our project is that we create a financial market-place
It will consist of cryptocurrency exchange
It will consist of escrow system that will protect traders from fraudulent activity of brokers
It will give brokers additional loyalty from Clients and additional Client flow
There will be arbitration system in Serenity marketplace
that will solve disputes and other issues
And many other technical additions as
liquidity provision for brokers and etc.
What will be the platform?
The blockchain platform is Ethereum
The smart contracts are currently ERC20 during ICO stage
We will use Ethereum for building our platform
Do you have any competitors? in what aspects is your platform better or worse than analogues, if any?
We have no direct competitors
When creating our platform we have to some extent borrowed some principles from existing recognised European regulatory bodies
Such regulators as FCA (UK) and others
Herewith we rewrote everything on the blockchain
thereby reducing significantly the costs for the broker and for the trader
and we managed to make interaction more transparent and convenient between broker and cient
Regarding regulators, do you have to collaborate with them?
Or you will carry out regulatory functions?
To start with we will be doing business in non-regulated zones thus bringing more transparency and safety there
taking into account that 90% of brokers are not regulated properly
But for the future we plan to provide our platform for regulatory bodies to use it within their juristdiction
For example we approach regulator of a certain country and tell them:
"Look, you have your legislation and regulation for financial markets, let's say Forex"
"Through our platform you can enforce regulation and monitor compliance with legislation a lot more effectively"
"And at the same time you will not spend a lot of money on compliance with regulations as you spend now".
Let's talk about your team. Is it international? What number of employees work on the project?
We have an international team of more than 100 people worldwide
The main office is located in Saint-Petersburg, Russia
The company is incorporated in Estonia
But at the same time we have people around the world: China, Malaysia and other countries
At what stage of development you project is in?
We have MVP products, we have running businesses also and we are at the stage of ICO now.
What are the running businesses?
We have a well known broker -- Grand Capital, established in 2006
This a forex and options broker
We also have Uptrader -- a software development company with 5 years or successful history
which makes software products for financial companies
What are your plans on collecting funds to launch and let's say continuation of the project?
We have several goals, we successfully met the first one -- a softcap of $2 million
We reached it very recently

Our ICO sale will finish on 7th of March 2018
And it is currently in progress?
Yes, it started on 25th of January 2018
You have a very big team of 100 people. Is it including mother companies? Or only Serenity project team?
This number includes employees of mother companies, we have 40 people working on Serenity at the moment
If you meet the hardcap, do you plan to hire more people? Or this number of people you have right now will be enough?
We will scale our team for sure, even if we don't meet hardcap. But we have our core team and it exists in our current businesses
Who will be the users of your solution?
We have 3 main directions.
The first one is a retail trader, private investor
Second one are the brokers, we are creating platform for brokerage companies and financial companies also
And the third one is regulatory bodies for whome we also are creating this platform
Do you have a plan for 2018-2019 what number of users to attract to your platform?
In this case our benchmark is set in the number of brokers, and further each broker attracts a number of traders
At the stage of beta version, which is August-September 2018 we expect to have about 10 brokers in the system
but already now we have 20 brokers who will be early adopters of the system
so we already met this goal
we are guided that by the end of 2018 we will have 100 brokers in Serenity system
But our main goal is to adopt about 10% of the market by the end of 2019
counting from volume of funds that are attracted to all OTC markets
That is to say if the total volume of the market is around $2 billion of incoming Client deposits per month
we are looking to acquire a market share equal to $200 million, the money that will go through our system
How do you see further development of blockchain technologies and you industry in this connection?
Do you think that new solutions will keep coming or we will see the end of hype?
Well, hype will end in any case
If we speak of the constant questions "where to buy bitcoin" or "what is ethereum" from people
or that hype story with cryptocats, this will end.
But if we speak about the technology, it just start to develop
It will continue to collect statistics and will be consumed more frequently
If right now business uses blockchain
I can say that in year or two we will see governments and countries transferring their routine work and service to blockchain technologies
My traditional question in the end of interviews: what will be the price of Bitcoin? In the end of 2018, 2019?
For the start I would like to say that Bitcoin is not the main direction in the development of blockchain technologies for mysef
I would like to add that there are a lot of interesting coins
If we look at Bitcoin I would name Ethereum as very interesting coin also
I would say we will see BTC USD at 20000 this year
But the main mark for in the total cryptocurrency capitalisation
If it is slightly more than $300 bln right now
We have seen $600 billion last year
I think that we will see a $1 thrillion this year
And this will be a more important milestone for us.
So you say that capitalisation of utility tokens and cryptocurrencies will grow
There is another interesting theme is security token
There is a burning topic this year that one of american companies is planning to tokenise stocks
They are talking about approximately about $75 thrilion, bonds for $100 thrilion
So right now we are talking of utility tokens, right?
Yes, of course, only utility tokens and cryptocurrencies that are relevant for today.
If some giants come with security tokens
If, let's say, Facebook comes and tokenise its stocks it is obvious that capitalisation will skyrocket in this case
