I've received plenty of requests for a new Team Galant episode.
So here we are. I'm wearing a T-shirt in the middle of October
... and with me I have Philip and Edvin.
Today we'll be do punishment-fishing.
We pursued it this summer with quite slow fishing
... however we're currently at a place which can hold very big perch.
Hopefully the fishing will be more successful than last time.
These are the rules!
What was I'm going to say? I forgot. - About the rules.
Yeah.
What Philip was trying to say is that the one individual with the shortest perch in centimeters has to endure a punishment.
Last time we took notes from your comments about a punishment
... and we've chosen this comment.
So the one who loses has to endure this punishment, usually it's Philip.
Today we're located in the archipelago.
Since it's quite shallow, light-weighted jig heads and weedless hooks are the most optimal
... since otherwise you'll catch weed only. Green smile, "trollhair" we call it. Very annoying.
I'm using a Monkey Rib since the perch prefer bigger baits.
Dropshot and carolina can be useful when it's colder in the water however it's still quite warm
... like 11 degrees celsius, almost 12
When fishing in the archipelago, it's quite hard to locate the fish
... however when you've located them dropshot and carolina is very effective since you fish quite slow.
So currently a regular jig is optimal since we must locate the perch. A great search bait.
Let's make the first cast. - Are you ready Philip? - Yes.
Edvin are you ready? - I'm ready.
Let's go, "punishment-fishing" autumn season for perch!
Philip has hooked the first fish.
May be the fish which prevents you from receiving the punishment.
I knew I'd catch a big one.
What estimated weight? - 0.8 kg probably.
He struck me, look the blood.
Today I'll be showing you that I'm a qualified contestant of Perch Pro.
It's a keeper, 38.5 cm.
We've been fishing for almost 40 hours without food or water. Quite slow.
We've been in contact with other fishermen from this area and it seems quite slow in general.
No one catching a huge amount.
The fish has disappeared.
I think it's weird, it's warm, high pressure in the atmosphere and I knew they had good fishing here.
Now the couple past three days we've heard it's super slow fishing, not logical.
We can spot perch using our side-scan and 2D sonar, so they're here just not biting.
Fish fish!
I'm finally catching one.
Hope it's bigger than Philip's.
Could be.
It's like 20 cm.
I have a top fish, Philip as well, Edvin none.
I brought with me the measuring board from Perch Pro, let's see how long.
33 cm. If it was Perch Pro the perch would have been acceptable.
If Edvin does not catch a single fish, he'll be enduring the punishment.
Time to release it.
Finally caught one. - Like me. Edvin what are you doing?
Swapping baits, will be using a Monkey Rib. - Copy cat!
Catching huge perch that are small.
However the weather was on our side today.
As I mentioned earlier the fishing has been slow, we've been fishing for two to three hours
... until me and Philip managed to catch some perch.
Then we arrived to a new spot, and it didn't take too much time for me to catch this one.
Clearly an upgrade from my 33 cm perch.
I don't know if it's longer than Philip's 38 cm perch.
Could luckily be.
The moment of truth. Caught on a Monkey Shad.
Edvin could you hand me the measuring board?
On the official Perch Pro board.
It is 36 cm. - An upgrade!
It's an upgrade for me, however I'm still placing second.
The one with the shortest perch receives the punishment, and Edvin has not caught one yet.
You are lucky Tobbe! - I know I'm just better than you.
Seems like I have to put in work. I have caught zero fish. I feel like I've become bad.
Keep fighting.
Tobbe had result with the Monkey Shad so I started using it as well.
Didn't take too many casts. Swallowed it.
Cool Philip! How fun!
I've become bad.
I finally got hooked up!
First one of the day.
Pray for it to not be more than 36 cm. - No chance.
Not that big. However an important fish for me.
Why? - Cause I'm not catching zero fish today.
You still have the shortest top fish.
I know, still feels great catching something.
Time to measure it.
Not more than 36! - 31 cm.
Time to catch a bigger one.
We've been fishing in the deep corner of the archipelago.
... and the past hours very deep inside.
In the corner we've not managed to catch anything.
Our friends, Niclas Edström and Janne have been fishing more on the outside.
To receive information about the perch's location I'll be calling them.
Hello! - Is it a bite?
How's the fishing on the outside part? - Quite slow but we manage.
So you're catching fish now and then? - Yeah.
What amount? Size? - I caught a 47 cm.
Wow. Not bad. - 1620 g.
Congrats! - Thanks.
Has Janne caught anything? - A 42 cm one, probably like 1.2 kg.
Sounds great, we'll be arriving then. - Do so!
Appreciate the information. Bye!
We've arrived and it's time to see if there's any fish here. Caught some fish earlier.
There! Fish! Small one, just flying to the surface.
Look at it's upper lip! Looks stupid!
The ugliest thing I've ever seen.
Immediate contact with fish. Three strikes and two perch in like five minutes. So here's the spot.
When we're recording our Team Galant episodes, we're not too serious about the competition fishing.
However, we'll be arriving to this place tomorrow as well.
We know we'll be fishing on the outside part instead of the inside part.
So we'll see how this place delivers tomorrow.
The first day has been more of a day to get information.
Tomorrow it's "pig-day"!
There!
I'm catching plenty of fish, not big though.
I've caught like three in ten minutes.
Lovely strikes though despite it's small size.
I'm not catching anything so I'll be copy catting you with this jig in this color
... to see if I can catch something as well. Perfect as usual.
We've found a school of perch.
Finally second perch of today.
It's an upgrade.
Equipping this lure resulted in a fish.
Time for measuring.
Almost 35 cm. 34 cm.
Looks big? - Now yes.
What a perch!
No, time to catch a bigger one.
Goodbye.
We're done fishing for today. The past hour has been quite slow
... so time to prepare for tomorrow.
After the first day Philip is in the lead with a perch of 38 cm
... I have one at 36 cm
... and Edvin's biggest one is 34 cm.
Till tomorrow we know what spots holds the most fish.
With come luck we'll be catching one or two big ones.
Time to start the engine and head home.
Home we go.
We're out here pretty early in the morning, day two.
Yesterday we noticed the inside part did not deliver that much fish
... so we'll start out by fishing at the outside part.
We heard from earlier that Niclas and Janne had decent fishing around this area.
I'll start out using the same lure as yesterday
... the Monkey Shad.
It's the exact same weather as yesterday, therefor the same lures should deliver.
Jacob Lexe and Oliver will also be fishing, we met them yesterday, they will be observing the fish and call us if they have contact.
And we'll arrive to their place, so a second boat to help us is great. If we find the fish we'll call them, vice versa.
Let's go and we'll see who has to endure the punishment.
Fish! Didn't take too long.
Easily the longest fish. A top fish.
We've found them!
It's a nice one Philip.
Didn't take too many casts before the Monkey Shad delivered.
The perch is located on this outside part.
We'll probably have a great fishing session today.
Time for measurement.
38 cm, same size as Philip's.
Lovely first fish.
There! This one feels big.
Take the camera.
The net. - not the net.
Holy! It's big!
Holy crap! What a fish!
It's not a small one.
We just have to measure this one.
Probably the top fish for me. Could easily be.
This is a lovely fish, as you can see it's 45 cm.
New top fish, weighs probably 1.3 - 1.4 kg.
Great beginning of the day. Could result in a superior fishing session.
Time to release it and continue fishing. - Mine is 42 cm.
A 42 cm. - And a 45 cm.
Beautiful fish.
There! This is big.
Not as big as I thought.
Not using the net.
It's decent.
Check this beauty out. So mesmerizing.
It's not longer than the previous perch, however I will still measure it.
It's like 1.1 kg, lovely.
The fishing today can end up being very enjoyable.
Time to quickly measure it. As you can see it's 44 cm.
The three top fish for today is 45, 44 and 42 cm.
A new top fish for me. Time to measure and see if it's longer than Tobbe's.
44 cm. - 45 cm.
It's obvious the length is 45 cm Tobbe.
I have a big one!
Is it a small one? - No it's my top fish.
New top fish for you.
Came from nowhere.
Told you it's a big one. - Bass land.
It's my time to shine. Could it be longer than your's? - No.
My time to measure. You hold it like this.
44 cm.
I just caught this 44 cm perch.
Probably around a kilogram.
And I caught one at 45 cm, so it's currently a draw between me and Tobbe. Edvin has his 44 cm.
I'm slowly getting there, soon a big one will strike.
Time to release them.
We're done fishing for this weekend
... the competition has came to it's end.
Me and Philip caught the longest fish, both with the length of 45 cm.
Placing last, Edvin with his 44 cm perch.
So, he'll be doing something awkward. We'll drive to the city and he'll be fishing at a awkward place
... as mentioned in the comments.
Time to return and enjoy the view of Edvin's punishment.
We're in the middle of the city and I'll be fishing here
... people will think I'm totally stupid.
Does not feel that good.
I just need to find some water first.
No! Empty of water! Just a little water left.
What are you doing? - We're fishing.
There's no water, the only place I found.
Why is there no water? It's always water there. - I don't know, probably empty of fish as well.
I'm just embarrassing myself.
I'm not even fishing in water.
Shit!
I'm getting recorded.
Done fishing this time, and I'm happy I dodged this. - Not that funny.
People recorded me and thought I'm insane.
No worries, thanks for watching
... don't forget to subscribe, follow us at Instagram and Facebook.
Links are in the description.
We'll be doing another punishment-fishing soon.
Thumbs up this video and don't forget to comment on the next punishment.
We selected the comment which has the most amount of likes
... so comment again and we'll likely pick the top comment.
Take care and tight lines! Bye!
The guy was taking landscapes pictures of this city and I'm out here fishing, so fun.
