CROCHET LEGWARMERS, Shell and Post stitch #2371, DIY CROCHET - Duration: 6:21.

in my previous videos I showed you how to make a cowl

with the shell and post stitch, and a skirt with the same

stitch and today I'm going to show you how to

make easy leg warmers using the same stitch shell and post stitch, so let's get

started

I'm working with Red Heart super saver yarn and a six millimeter crochet

hook start with a slipknot

I'm going to make these in adult-sized I'm going to start with chain 42 to make

a chain all you do is pick up the yarn pull it through the stitch so chain

42

okay I have chained 42, slip stitch to join being careful not to twist the chain

(slip stitch to join) chain two double crochet in each stitch all the way

around .I'm working bottom up on these Leg warmers

okay so double crochet in each stitch all the way around okay I worked all the

way around at the end of the row slip stitch to join in the second stitch of

the chain two and that's going to be the bottom okay so now I'm going to chain

two (one.. two ) and I'm going to double crochet in that same stitch, chain one,

make two more double crochet in that stitch

and so this is the first shell that chain 2 takes the place of the first

double crochet so that's equivalent to two double crochet chain one two double

crochet and now I'm going to skip two stitches (one.. two) in the next stitch I'm

going to make a double crochet, skip two stitches in the next stitch make a shell

two double crochet one and two chain one two double crochet one and two, skip two

double crochet in the next stitch and that's how that looks so it's a shell

skip two, double crochet, skip two, a shell, skip two double crochet work all

the way around. okay I worked all the way around there's my last double crochet

and I'm going to find the second stitch of that first chain 2 and I'm going

to slip stitch to join and I'm going to slip stitch up to this centre shell so

a slip stitch into that next stitch and slip stitch there so now I'm centered in

the middle of the shell going to chain two I'm going to make another double

crochet in the same stitch chain one double crochet, double crochet, so that's

a shell in the center of the shell and the first chain two takes the place of

the first double crochet and I'm going to yarn over to make a double crochet

but I'm going to make a front post double crochet in this next stitch so

from the front go around the post of the double crochet and then complete the

double crochet now go to the shell go to the chain one space of the shell make a

shell: 2 double crochet

chain 1, and 2 double crochet (one and two) okay yarn around the hook for next

double crochet from the front go around the post and complete the double crochet

okay so I'm going to work all the way around I'm gonna make a shell in the chain one

crochet okay i've worked all the way around there's my last front post double

crochet i'm going to find the second stitch of the chain 2 slip stitch to

join now every row will be exactly the same you're going to slip stitch up to

the chain one space in the shell now you're going to chain two one to make

another double crochet in the shell chain one and two more double crochet in

that shell (one and two) and i'm going to make a front post double crochet in the

next front post double crochet so that's a shell in the center of the shell a

front post in the front post and i'm going to repeat all the way around and

I'm going to continue to do this until I have as many rows as I would like for

the height of my leg warmers so a shell in the shell and a front post double

crochet in the front post double crochet and that's the stitch of the shell and

posts shell and post double crochet and you're going to continue to work as many

rows as you like for the length of your leg warmers and when your leg warmers

저는 귀를 한쪽에 2-3개정도씩 뚫었는데

I get my ear pierced around 2-3 in one part,

제가 항상 하고다니는 시그니쳐 귀걸이가 있어요

대부분 DIY 귀걸이랍니다

Most of earrings are DIY earrings.

하지만 자주 잃어버려요

But I lost frequently.

귀걸이 뒤에 침이 사라지거나

The needle which is behind the earrings is disappeared,

잠깐 빼두었는데 고양이가 툭쳐서 사라진다던지해서..

Or I take off that at moment, but it is disappeared because the cat touches.

이번에도 또 잃어버렸어요

In this time, I also lost again.

그래서 새로운 귀걸이를 만드려고 이번 영상을 준비했어요

So to make new earrings, I prepared this video.

제가 좋아하는 오브제를 많이 넣는편이에요

I put many objets which I like on the earrings.

그리고 좋아하는 십자가 오브제를 넣어줄거에요

And I'll put the cross objet which I like.

기독교 아니고 무교입니다

I'm not Christian, but I don't have any religion.

그림으로 미리 구상해주면 편해요

It is convenient to plan by picture before.

그리고 니퍼!

And nipper!

이거 없으면 못 만들어요!

If you don't have this, you can't make!

니퍼가 아니라 펜치..일꺼에요

이걸 사실때 팁인데

별 밑에 체인을 연결해줄거에요

이때 필요한게 O링이라고 부자재끼리 연결해주는 링이 있어요

And connect the cross objet with earrings.

이런 느낌의 귀걸이가 되었어요

Earring is done by this mood.

별 부분에도 십자가를 달아줄게요

Hang the cross on the star part.

별과 십자가를 가깝게해서 삐그덕 거리는 느낌보다는

별과 십자가 사이에 O링을 넣어서 딸랑거릴 수 있게 만들어줄게요

looks like you got a lot of good stuff out you're doing some baking? yeah we're

going to try to make a little bit of shortbread today it doesn't take long

and it's very simple we're going to add two sticks of butter one cup which is

two sticks and it's like you do it room temperature so you've had your butter

out softening yes one cup of confectionery sugar I already got

measured and you've already sifted this sugar yeah I'm gonna get sifted him a

little bit you don't have to but you know I just just do and we're going to

add two teaspoons of vanilla I always add the almond because I think the

almond yes it a special case oh oh my extract yes

1/4 teaspoon you can add it or leave it but I think much better effort with it

sprinkle it around if you have to but other than that you know it will you

it's always came together for me I've never had to do it I don't I think

sherbert has it's easy to make has a good flavor to it usually everybody

likes a little piece of shortening everybody like shortbread know be

straight up crane either like shortbread yes true I said a few on computer I got

little texture to yeah you don't want you know a mountain of them but just a

you want to get them the same size so they're cook evenly

yeah okay now we're going to take our pan if we grab it in here you can use

your hands are you I got this little roller here we're gonna really try

rolling this close to the edge getting getting pretty even you know you don't

want no big lump in the middle and then nothing over here so you try

put any flour on the dough no I just I just kind of put a little bit on mine on

my fifth wheel for a second go you know we're gonna roll a little bit easier

well that looks like a cookie of my dreams right there I'm gonna take this

fork kind of make a little pattern now why do you put the holes in there well

you need for air hose you know it's like a cake pan I mean it's like a pie crust

you need to aerate him if not well you know he'll probably puff up in the

middle and he'll puff up over here on this side you know Plus Eddie makes kind

but well you know they kicked out a math class when you were a kid didn't ya you

these cool down and then we'll have them in a little bit after they've firmed up

Epoxy OVER Crayon River Table...I FIXED IT!!! - Duration: 11:10.

about a month ago I built this coffee table with a crayon inlay it was sort of

an experiment to see if it would even work and surprisingly it worked pretty

well that said it left me with a lot of people asking how durable it was and well

it's about exactly as durable as a crayon so I wanted to test out making an

improved more durable version and that's what we're gonna do today

so the first thing that I did was make a small version to test the technique that

I planned on using just to make sure that it would work before I spent

several days doing the real thing

and I thought the test piece came out pretty good so I decided to get started

on the real thing

I started by prepping and gluing two boards together so that I could make my

top which is gonna be about 18 inches wide and 60 inches long and after that

set up overnight I was ready to start routing my groove and melting my crayons

so the big difference between this table and the last table is that this one's

going to have a top coat of epoxy about a quarter of an inch thick and this was

actually my first time using epoxy on a project so I'm definitely no expert but

I'll throw a link to what I used in the description so that you can learn more

about it if you're interested

after the top was dry and I had knocked the epoxy back to a flush with the wood

I used my table saw to cut the whole thing down to its finish size and the

reason that I did this after I poured the crayon in the epoxy was so that I

didn't have to worry about it all spilling out since the river's go to the

edge of the table basically it made the whole process a lot more simple and

speaking of simple let's take a minute to think this week's sponsor simply safe

for a bit and start working on the base of the table here we're going to be

using eight quarter walnut boards that will get milled down to about an inch

and a half thick

so at this point I have pieces that are perfectly square if you look at them

this way next it was just a matter of cutting all

of my pieces to varying lengths so that I could start assembling everything and

actually let's cut away to an animation so that we can see how everything is

gonna come together so what I'm cutting the length is four

pieces that are 15 and a quarter inches long four pieces that are 15 and a half

inches long and four pieces that are fifty seven and a half inches long the

shortest pieces are going to become the legs the other short pieces will be the

stretches and aprons that run across the piece and the long pieces will be the

stretches and aprons that run along the piece and then of course the top will go

well on top

after everything was cut to size I started assembling so here I'm marking

out screw locations and my plan was the countersink two screws through each face

where there was a connection and then to backfill those with more crayon wax and

epoxy but we'll get back to that in a minute because first I have to finish

cutting everything into the base that we're gonna need to cut in here I'm

making a chamfer to create a separation line between the base and the top which

was quick and easy to just route in and then here I'm using these figure 8 clips

which is what we're gonna use to attach the base to the top okay

let's get back to plugging the screw holes with some crayon wax

so my first idea was to just jam some wax into the holes and melt it and it

was working but it was also kind of lumpy looking so I kept melting it

further and then it seemed like it just dripped right into the screw hole so I

guess I could have just put more until it stopped sinking in but I decided to

try something else my next attempt was to melt some in this little silicon I

don't know cupcake mold thing I guess and then pour it in and this worked

better and I think with a little patience would be the right way to go

but I started to kind of sour on the idea for some reason I guess I just

figured that the top was enough color already

so I abandoned this idea all together and cut some plugs instead

after having tried this technique two different ways I can't fully commit to

saying that one way is better than the other but personally speaking if it's a

piece that I'm going to keep I'll go with the all crayon approach I think

it's noticeably more vibrant and I like the waxy Sheen plus I know that I'm not

gonna be using this technique in an area of my house where it's gonna get beat up

and if an accident did happen I could fix it pretty quick with a heat gun and

a crayon but if I were building this for somebody else

I'd probably err on the side of suggesting the epoxy overlay approach

here there's nothing to worry about we could have Michael Flatley Riverdance

on this River table and there's not going to be any hard feelings so yeah

that's it no real conclusion or I guess no sway from me you take your pick and

whichever side of the line you decide to color on well I guess the inside is
