Waching daily Feb 16 2019

Sometimes you can come across something in a video game that leaves you lying awake at

night, making your mind race with questions.

Just like the last video, I'm not going to be covering any obvious mysteries that have

been done to death like is L real or can you find Big Foot in the hills of San Andreas.

Instead, thanks to many more obscure mysteries submitted to me from the last video, today

we're going to be covering the top 10 weirdest, lesser-known hidden mysteries and discoveries

in video games that still remain unsolved to this day part 2.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire's final scenes are just like every other Pokémon

game, where the player battles the most elite Pokemon trainers in the game one after another

until reaching the end.

At one point, you come across Pokemon trainer Phoebe, who seems to be trapped in a constant

state of bowing when somebody enters the room.

Phoebe for the most part is your endlessly cheerful Pokémon trainer, definitely not

unlike what you would expect of the tone of the series.

Wait a second.

Did you see that?

Go back.

[tape rewinding sound]

Only on rare occasion, if you were to slow down this fade out and

pause just at the right time, you can spot this unusual model of a little girl standing

on this chair who only appears for a single frame - before the camera cuts away.

Is it just me, or do the Pokemon games seem to have a weird fascination with ghost girls?

Players even claim they can't get her to ever appear at all.

I don't know what to say about this one but - ooh.. there she is again...

She's standing directly behind the player!

Annd, that's the last we'll ever see her again.

It's hard to say who this ghost girl is and why she's here to ruin our childhoods.

Although a couple of theories have been bounced around, the ghost girl's identity has never

been determined…

Welp, she's definitely not the first ghost girl to ever appear in Pokemon, and for some

reason, probably not the last one either…

"No you're not the one…"

Gex: Enter the Gecko.

Thanks to Kyasarintsu, who submitted this mystery to me along with a couple other Gex

mysteries through my website oddheader.com.

One of the most interesting submissions Kyasarintsu sent me was this footage from twitcher NanachiSR.

NanachiSR was speedrunning through this bonus stage of Gex: Enter the Gecko, when suddenly

this completely inexplicable spinning cube showed up in the middle of the level.

Now, unfortunately Nanachi was a bit concerned with maintaining his speedrunning record,

so he didn't really pause and give this thing the look over that it really deserved.…

This is particularly unfortunate, because the cube on this level has never shown up

for another Gex player ever again, though another cube was later found out of bounds

on the level Buccaneer Program.

Another interesting discovery comes from my buddy, youtuber Oblivion Walker, who found

that when zoomed into first person view on this random number generator during the absolutely

disturbing boss battle Mooshoo Pork - how the hell did I play this as a kid? - if you

wait long enough, a random message would suddenly appear at the top of the screen.

Hurray for bunny gex, He sure is a funny gex, Ra Ra Ra!

Yeah, I... don't get it either.

Bloodrayne 2.

Speaking of unusual hidden messages… bydofied sent me this find of his own on my discord

server, where he found that by moving the camera into a cramped angle right at the beginning

of the level Sewers, you could find this hidden scrolling message suspended high in the air.

Beware of the giant rat.

This left bydofied absolutely baffled as far as he knows there's no hidden giant rat

anywhere in the game.

However, I'm not ruling out the possibility that there's one still hiding somewhere.

Devil May Cry 4.

Thanks to Rubydessu who shared with me this interesting fact only present in the Special

Edition of Devil May Cry 4.

In the included intro for Vergil, at the end of the cutscene a woman in a red dress and

a white hood looks back at Vergil in a mysterious manner.

For years players have questioned: Who is this [bleep]?

Well, to fuel the mystery, players later found a separate character model for the woman in

the files of the game, which suggests she could have appeared somewhere in the actual

game itself.

With this knowledge, Devil May Cry players feel they have evidence the woman in the red

dress has - or at least once had - a serious significance to the story.

The popular theory being the woman in red is actually Vergil's mother.

As no info about the character has ever been uncovered at all since release in 2008, what

the significance was supposed to be of the woman in the red dress remains a completely

unsolved mystery.

"Were you looking at the woman in the red dress?"

"I was..."

"Look again."

[suspenseful music accent]

Fez.

Thanks to chalovak who reminded me of this one in a comment from the last video in this

series.

Fez is the highly acclaimed retro platformer made by indie developer Phil Fish - known

for his eccentric appearance in Indie Game the Movie and his abrupt exit from the game

industry in 2013.

Phil's game Fez, however, has left a lasting legacy for years as players continued to find

secrets long after release.

One of the most obscure finds was the discovery of the Monolith, which was found once players

discovered a clue in the unlockable first-person mode that led them to a cheat code that unveiled

the object.

Fans wondered what to do next after finding the monolith.

They found out through development leaks that another code was supposed to be found in the

same exact fashion as the first code they discovered.

Well, after going through the game and failing to find any clues, they eventually gave up

and set up a website where they collectively brute-forced code entries until they found

the one that worked.

In return, the monolith transformed into a red cube, one of the rarest items in the game,

but since the code was cracked by brute force and Fish has since left the industry, to this

day no one actually knows how the monolith code was actually supposed to be legitimately

solved or how it was logically tied to the game… okay, and here's a last minute update

I'm adding into the video, as I just saw this comment from BrunoValads, who explains

that these randomly placed codes on a wall were deciphered into numbers that were just

recently discovered by reddit to be coordinates.

And when the coordinates were put into Google Maps it unveiled this strange landmark just

sitting outside of Phoenix, Arizona... and that's as far as they got.

It's still undetermined if this is a step forward in solving the mystery of the monolith,

or if this is opening up a whole another can of worms entirely.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag.

Brodis on my discord shared this footage with me of him strolling slowly through the streets

of Assassin's Creed Black Flag, when suddenly an NPC that looked completely different than

any other in the game, appeared out of nowhere and starting coming right at him.

Brodis began to freak out, when suddenly the character disappeared into thin air.

Another member of my community, RoyRuby, pointed out that character looked remarkably low-poly

from the rest of the non-player-characters in the game.

Does this imply that this was originally some sort of scripted event that ended up cut from

the game?

Did a rogue AI suddenly snap and wanted to hand Brodis his ass before the system rejected

him from doing so?

Unfortunately, we can only continue to ask these questions, but ultimately answers will

never likely come…

Lost Planet 3.

I'm always surprised when I bring up Lost Planet and people look at me with blank stares.

Granted, the series mostly took off for 360 owners looking for something to tide them

over before Halo 3 was coming out, but even so, it was truly a great game series on its

own.

Anyway…

After first receiving the Shock-Jumper, if you were to make your way into this hidden

crevice away from the normal game environment...

[grappling hook sound effects]

...and then slowly move toward this ice wall…

...two mysteriously creepy glowing eyes begin to flash from the other side.

Multiple reports I've seen claim that there's actually a teddy bear behind the ice, but

I'm honestly not sure where they're getting that from… maybe somebody out there thinks it's

worth taking a game trainer and unlocking the camera and actually peering over to the

other-side… but even so, why would there be a teddy bear in there in the first place?

In fact, what seems to be game developers' need to hide evil teddy bears in their games?

"Don't touch me."

"Stop it."

"You asked for it."

[explosion] "Oh!"

[groaning] Kirby's Dream Land 3.

Another one from my discord, thanks to Crabbo for sharing this one with me.

In the original Super Nintendo game Kirby's Dreamland 3

players noticed in extremely rare instances an enemy

would appear out of bounds that bared a striking resemblance to the kirbster himself.

Nicknamed Batamon in Kirby lore, no players were ever able to figure out what the Batamon's

purpose were.

It wasn't noticed for some time, but players found that on level 4-3, if they were to wait

at this exit instead of entering it, and then time it just right when the screen moved, they'd

be able to climb up on this cloud and enter into this creepy area filled with batamon,

along with the only one you can actually encounter in-bounds… who's gone in the swift of

a second.

What the Batamon's actual intentions are in the Kirby universe still haunts players to

this day, solidifying Kirby's Dream Land 3 as what we already knew to be the most unsettling

and horrifying video game of all time.

Mystical Ninja Sarring Goemon.

Youtuber Deceax stated on his youtube in 2016, that a rumor existed for quite some time among

the Japanese fan community of this 20-year-old Goemon game . The rumor was that supposedly

several hidden NPC's existed in the game that no one had ever found.

Sure enough, it was found to be true of both the Japanese and US version of the game,

as players somehow found that by pressing all the C buttons and A and B combined in

precise locations of the game

[explosion sound effect]

hidden characters would suddenly explode into the scene.

One of the most confusing of these NPCs was simply a man with his dog who says this: "All

work and no play will just make you tired, so Il'l introduce

my dogs to you!"

And then very bizarrely you can actually talk to his dogs: "You say the name is strange?

I say your speech is stranger!

I'm sick of dog foods!"

Arf!

Bark!

Bow-wow!"

It's still grounds for debate on what exactly this is all about, as signs of some sort of

suspected easter egg connection have yet to surface.

Also, given the obscurity of the whole thing and the fact that the hardcore Japanese Goemon

community had rumors about this years before anybody else did, that probably means we're

not going to get an answer about this anytime soon.

Mass Effect 3.

Without going into spoilers, Mass Effect 3 hit backlash after its release as many players

were upset by its abrupt and lackluster ending that the series was building up to across

multiple games.

The series was considered groundbreaking in its use of choice and highly popularized the

idea of your decisions carrying over to the next game through the use of your save

file.

Mass Effect 3 was the final game in the series and the ending was considered so unsatisfying

to some players, they were immediately convinced that they had missed something.

Players came up with a theory the ending never actually happened, as Commander Shepard may

have been indoctrinated at some point in the story by the Reapers, the ominous alien species

that threatened humanity throughout the series.

Player's believe somewhere, somehow in Mass Effect 3, the Reapers slowly deteriorated

Commander Shepard's mind, which made Commander Shepard dream up the game's final sequence

in his head.

Players investigated this theory in a Mass Effect forum thread that went on for over

800 pages, and eventually as the evidence continued to pile up overtime, the theory

became more and more widely accepted.

The most interesting discovery that came out of this was an out of place texture that could

only be seen in the reflections of the final scene of the game.

By breaking the camera and moving it into just the right angle, you can see that there's

a bunch of trees in the reflection of this surface… but the odd thing is that there's

no trees to be found anywhere in this vicinity.

Many players believe this to be a clue to indicate that things aren't really as they seem.

Are these out of place textures of trees no where to be found in the reflections an intentional

sign that the game's final sequence never actually happened... making for one of the

boldest endings of all time?

Or is it just another glitch and EA and Bioware just really [bleep]ed up the ending?

I thought about it and I realized I've been apart of easter egg and glitching communities

for nearly 20 years.

I know firsthand that there's a lot of interesting discoveries and things to be found in

video games.

One of my biggest goals with this channel has always sort been able to create a platform where

we could showcase all the interesting discoveries and accomplishments that gamers are doing

all the time.

Free To Choose 1980 – How to Cure Inflation – Inflation - Duration: 2:20.

But political freedom cannot be preserved

unless inflation is kept in bounds.

That's the responsibility of government,

which has a monopoly over places like this.

The reason we have inflation in the United States,

or for that matter anywhere in the world,

is because these pieces of paper,

and the accompanying book entry,

or their counterparts in other nations,

are growing more rapidly than the

quantity of goods and services produced.

The truth is inflation is made in one place

and one place only: here in Washington.

This is the only place were there are presses

like this that turn out these pieces

of paper we call money.

This is the place where the power resides

to determine how rapidly the amount

of money shall increase.

What happened to all that noise?

That's what would happen to inflation

if we stopped letting the amount of

money grow so rapidly.

This is not a new idea.

It's not a new cure.

It's not a new problem.

It's happened over and over again in history.

Sometimes inflation has been

cured this way on purpose.

Sometimes it's happened by accident.

During the Civil War, the North,

late in the Civil War, overran the place in the

South where the printing presses were sitting up,

where the pieces of paper were being turned out.

Prior to that point, the South had had

a very rapid inflation;

if my memory serves me right,

something like 4% a month.

It took the Confederacy something

over two weeks to find a new place where

they could set up their printing presses

and start them going again.

During that two-week period, inflation came halt.

After the two-week period, when the

presses started running again,

inflation started up again.

It's that clear, that straightforward.

We started wadu' by niyah which is an intention of the heart

Then we said bismillah & this is a sunnah as most scientists say

Then we go to washing the hands which is another sunnah (including the 4 imams ).

After that we start Madmada - washing the mouth or gargling- & Istinshak -sniffing water into the nostrils- & Istinthar -getting water out of the nose-

We've 2ways to do this mentioned by scientists

start by gargling the mouth trice. Then sniff water into the nose &get it out 3 times

Or 2): use the same water carried by the hands to wash both mouth &nose 3 times

i.e. divide the water between madmada & istinshak& istinthar

As most fuqahaa say, this is sunnah in wadu

the 1st farida in wadu mentioned in quran when allah told us to wash our faces (( whenever you get up to pray, then wash you faces)).

The face extends from the top of the head at the hair line to just under the chin; & from one ear to the other

Then we wash our arms

Notice that early on we washed our hands

But now we wash our arms from the finger tips to the elbows which must be included in washing because the ayah say (( till the elbows)).

Of course we start by the right side in all steps of wadu' to immitate our prophet PBUH who used to like starting everything by the right then the left

We wash the right arm 3times &then the left one trice

We'll contiue later on inshaallah

iRacing SBS: (No VR) How To: Como Hacer una Botonera Casera 📱 - Duration: 20:19.

Hey guys how are you?

Today I bring you a tutorial

to make a homemade button box (botonera)

as you see in the picture

in particular

I'll show you how to manufacture the above botonera

of the two that you see in the picture

in the cockpit

The main component that we will use

I bought on Amazon, I have pasted the photo

It is a driver for

PC Joysticks for Arcade

and in this case I used the plate

cables and USB cable that brings

as you see here are two complete kits

I've used both to make two Keypads

but you can buy only one and even

You can buy single plate and cables buttonless

I in this case I'll show you how I made the pendant but

with alternative buttons

because it brings are a bit large and I

I wanted a nicer botonera

but you could use the complete kit and

the end will cost much cheaper

I'll show the rest of components used for this box

The next component is a push

I bought about seven radio buttons

as you can see they are pretty cheap

and they can replace those that come with the complete kit

These have led light

so in the end I bought some LEDs and resistors

in the same electronics store

and then I tell as I connected

In designing my box I also used

these buttons

or if these buttons are led

Instead of two terminals as above which have taught, they have four

and the two types of buttons

They are connected to the plate in a different way

I wanted to bring them to pushbutton and lights

and I bought this, but Notice that price difference

between a button and the other

The next component is the LED diode

which as I commented connect to other switch

a switch on / off operation

it's always good to have them

although no moment in iRacing

I detected where to put them, but good

I put one

In my design also

I put a switch

rotary or rotary type

in this case I bought one of twelve positions

this type of switches can then be converted into

positions you need

because it has a way to block the rest

and I've gotten in the end only two positions

because it's what I needed for my botonera

You also need to buy the box it is where

that is where we will put all the elements and

and make holes for the keypad itself

Here I advise you

If you become a keypad

Do not buy small boxes because

then put all the buttons and inside wiring is complicated

I chose a medium / large box

Another element that I added

the box has been vinyl

that you can also buy on Amazon

I have set the description in case you want to use

and I think that gives a very nice look

the case and personalizes

I bought this color but have in other colors

Or black silver

and well let's start with

design botonera

Well the first thing we will do is

Putting up box components

then

make the drawing where the holes should go

and that fit with the design we have chosen

Good and once we have drawn

the points where we will place the buttons

in the box

let's start doing drills

for it

We calculate how they will be

wide holes that we will do

and take the necesrias tools

I have this type of drills

to make holes in wood

but also served me for plastic

and I selected

Nov. 1 and other 16 mm

that fitted with buttons that would place

and nothing started to make holes

with the ability we have and

carefully

Once made holes

the next thing we will do

is put vinyl because

buttons have to go above vinyl

for it

we cut vinyl

Recalling hands with your best fine arts

and recortáis carefully and then

and then make holes

The next thing we do is

remove or unscrewed

you know that the buttons have a nut

according to the shop so

the unscrew on

we putting the buttons in the box

and the bottom

we put the nuts

so that then

the button does not move when you're pressing

in a race

it is important to check that

the buttons do not move

on all those who have some mobility

such as rotary

that it is important to squeeze well

The next thing we do is

begin to rewire

the you will find that

the cables that come with the plate for each button are

four wires

one black leaving the two wires

one red and one yellow

Red is the positive

the black negative

and yellow is the contact

so the buttons

They have only two terminals you must

put yellow

and one of Negroes

and buttons LED

you're going to have to put the four wires

respecting the polarity, ie

+ Place where You'll have to connect the Red

where put - one of Negroes

and the other two wires to the two terminals remaining (one black and yellow wire cable)

in my case in small buttons led to the soldé

to prevent disconnected inside the box but

other types of buttons no soldering needed

The plate is ready for

shove buttons 12

and you have to keep you two

or three of these cable sets

for rotary

I kept in my case only two positions

the rotary weld must be yes or yes

and to weld you require

two of the wiring harness

complete

and soldering must

each of the terminals rotation yellow wires

and the center terminal you have to weld

together the negative (black wires)

in this case those positions

and the red wire

second black wire you are not going to use so

You can cut or isolate

with electrical tape or heat shrink tube

the best way is to wire

button go button and each set of wires one by one to the plate

Remember the buttons

always they led you are not going to overrun the red wire and one black

and only have to connect one of the black and yellow

and you go uniting

each of the wiring harness to each button

to have everything completely wired

in the case of switch on / off

you have to cut the cable and

cable glands

directly to the ends of the switch

at the upper ends (which is ON)

cable does not go below and one above, they are both at the two ends of ON

As I have mentioned, in my case

I also put LEDs apart

to reuse part of these cables

red and black leftover

many of the buttons

for them I bought some leds

2.5 Volt

as USB feed plates 5 Volts

I also ask them to give me resistance

It is easy to connect

catch diode having two legs

the longer leg will have to resistance welding

once a soldier in the resistance and the other leg of the diode will solders a wire

and then those wires

join the resistance which has one of the remaining red wires

and the other wire to one of the remaining black wires

leftover buttons that are not led

and when you connect the box will go look

Also in my case once

once he prepared and had the diodes (with resistance and wires soldered)

I went through the holes in the box as Veis

to present on sites that wanted

and he was pulling behind

in my case I did was look up certain positions

so that when the ignition key was turned, an LED is lit

but in this case as there already know some electronics

it is best to ask me or someone in the same house where they buy some components

to tell you how to connect

It really is simple, but would have to get me here to explain

depending on the component that you go to connect

And I think that

It is a slightly more advanced part

Well as you can see here

I stopped the image

teach as is wired so far, so far

I've only used five of the twelve positions

It has the plate

where only five have connected switches

As you can see there is a lot Cable

to be putting the LEDs has generated much cable tangle

worse as you see there as some black tubes that are retractable thermos

you buy at electronics stores as

covers the possible connections air you have

you heat it with a lighter and

compressed and prevents touch has connections

and has false contacts

do not worry about to explode or something

because it only feeds the five volt USB

but be careful that no contact between the air terminal

and there is nothing left loose

and use both tubes come as heat shrinkable

Again the image unemployment

you to see as they are connected

pushbuttons with only two terminals (not led)

as you see you have one of the yellow wires and the other black

and see the other black wire is not used

This can cut it if you want

I as you may reuse the plate

and did not want to solder wires

I have left it and I've put duct tape or heat shrink

to prevent false move and has contacts

As also stop the video back to teach as the button is wired LED

as you see are wired both red and yellow black wires and cable

Remember that these buttons are xerografiados

the bottom with a (+)

which it is where you should go the red wire

xerografiado and a minus (-)

that is where you should go a black cable and the other two wires

for the button

where one would connect the yellow and black (no polarity)

and that simple

You should not have problems with this

But I recommend you to buy the same plate I

which is called EAZ STAR is the beginning of the video

because I have found where plates have changed the red wire to yellow

then I would tell you to buy the same that I

Good and once we have all the cables on the plate what we will do

It is to connect the USB cable that comes

end connect it to a PC

and we will keep trying each of the buttons

one by one

Part configuration windows

to check that everything before finish welding or close the box

to avoid having to undo work if something does not work

Connect the board to the computer

we go to Windows settings

select Devices and Printers

on the right side of the screen as you see

the plate appears as a new gaming device

we give the right mouse button and

Device Settings Game

we get this window to which we give Properties

and inside you will see another window

where they are all the buttons and by pressing must go put on red

If anyone does not illuminate when pressed means is unseated

once again you prove that all buttons work

and light on this screen as I said

close and box

I bought a waterproof box, so I put this paste to the top

for if spilled some liquid there is no danger

Recollect that the back cover you will have to make the hole for the cable

unless you please pull the plug out of the box

that seems to me a mess

Here you see me as I am closing

You see as I have many wires

the meto careful not to catch them

Once the box is not closed more than you return to prove that everything works

all buttons light

settings in Windows

to avoid having to re-open in case something does not work and before final placement

try one by one all the buttons and nothing else

I hope you liked the video

which will be useful

ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL - Review [SUB ITA] - Duration: 6:41.

Hi guys it's Debbie and today I would like to speak about "Alita: Battle Angel", the new science fiction, action,

cyberpunk, action film starring.... everybody from Christoph Waltz to Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali...

and which represents an unimaginable accomplishment in regards of digital effects as the main character is

completely created through a combination of CGI and motion capture, or to better say, performance capture.

Just a quick note to the side before jumping into the review.

As you are all huge film lovers like myself, in the description box below I put the link to Pampling,

where you can find hundreds of cheap but really good quality t-shirts, posters, jumpers... you name it!

All based on films, series, music and so on, such as the T-shirt I am wearing today, all discounted

with the code you will also find down below.

Now "Alita: Battle Angel" is actually based on a manga called "Gunnm" but I have never read it.

So this review will be totally based just on the film.

The story is set in a dystopian future in which most of the population lives day by day, in over crowded cities,

where only an elite has a hope of a better life.

In this future world technology has an important role, most of the daily activities are carried out

using the aid of robotics or high tech components in general, and many of the characters have some form of

mechanisation integrated in their own body.

This goes from a simple prosthetic arm to full cyborgs.

For example Alita, our main character is a cyborg, who was found close to death

but was rebuilt by Ido, a doctor who becomes more of a father to Alita.

But Alita is no common cyborg, as she has an exceptional strength, refined fighting skills.

Her abilities and her resilient nature soon draw the attention of those surrounding her,

some of which have no good intentions.

Now the first thing most people want to know when speaking about this film is: "How were the effects?"

Well in my opinion they were absolutely incredible.

Many of the action sequences in this film were stunning, with an incredible attention to detail.

For example as a big part of the film is the use of machinery, we have fights which include sparks

from colliding metal, small components flying about, metal coils..

All of this is at high speed but still maintaining small features such as facial expressions, movements.

But the star of the show is Alita. Many people are curious about this film or have been put off

on the basis of "she looks weird".

Now Alita was created using performance capture, which is an extensive use of motion capture.

The actor is rigged up with equipment which copies his or her movements on to a computer. It recreates a

copy of the actor, in this case Rosa Salazar.

The equipment also films her face in full detail.

So the final version of Alita is a combination of Salazar's acting and

then all the CGI (computer generated imagery) on top of that.

So Alita is meant to look human, but not too much. She is a cyborg.

So the human eye can spot the difference, regardless of how good the effects are.

As producer John Landau put it, it you were to take in consideration a film like Avatar, nothing in that film had

to look particularly realistic because it was not a real world, whereas Alita is set in a real world,

she interacts with real people.

This is a thing known as the "uncanny valley".

There is a study according to which humans are fine looking at something totally non human,

such as a gigantic metal robot.

But as this robot is enhanced to look more and more human we are still ok with it, until it reaches that

nearly identical to a human but still not human look and at that point we feel revulsion for it.

Our brain labels it as creepy, unnatural… It basically triggers all a series of reactions

at a subconscious level, by which our body wants to avoid it.

This probably has to do with factors like reproduction

it will also feel vulnerable put next to something "human" but strong, immortal,

our mind also fights off anything that could be a threat even comparing the images to bacteria.

Basically our mind is just like NOPE.

Now Alita obviously ticks off a lot of boxes here.

But we have to analyse the film beyond

all the weird reactions of the human brain. So within all these parameters her animation was great!

Within the film she is was an incredibly well accomplished character.

Throughout the whole film she is generated in a manner that does not make her less than a human.

But instead of simply walking, talking, the animation covers the battles, the incredible action sequences and so on.

Also let's say that all the film is real and not real (there is not a real boundary between

humans and technology) but it is also developed in a manner by which it doesn't actually look that real.

Even the realistic worldly settings and the real characters are made to look slightly off, slightly

perfected, like in a sort of animation or a manga strip.

For example there are two characters in particular, portrayed by Mahershala Ali and Jennifer Connelly and in

whatever scene they appear, they are basically perfect.

It kind of reminded me of films like "Ghost in the shell", where there is this filter over everything,

always reminding you it's a fictional story.

Even "The Matrix" was similar to this... in its own way.

Whereas this wouldn't happen in other science fiction films which cover similar topics

in which there is a definite distinction between the real world and technology, such as "Ready Player One"

or where the film is presented as "real", like the Blade Runner films.

Ok but enough with the CGI, how was the actual story?

Well, I was expecting something a little more engaging.

The actual introduction to Alita took up a large portion of the film, whereas I think a lot of

information didn't need to be specifically pointed out, such as every feature of Alita's body.

I think a lot of information could have been left up to the viewer to discover.

By the time we actually got into the story it was rather far into the film and then it had to catch up with everything!

So if I have to be honest, I did not like the last section of the film, as it just didn't add up, it

was all sped up, it was trying to cram too many concepts into 20 minutes.

And it also felt as if there was a strong gap between the effort put into the effects and into the storyline.

But I don't want to say anything more about the ending because of spoilers.

One thing I did like about the story was that it was surprisingly hard-core.

I was expecting a way softer storyline!

But it went straight through with the action, the language and images.

There would be more to say about this film, but again that would be pushing the spoilers so I will stop here.

But I would love to hear your thoughts about the film so make sure to leave a comment down below,

even if you haven't seen the film yet, I would like to know what you are expecting from it! I hope you

enjoyed this video, if you did make sure to subscribe and I'll see you soon, bye!

Black Holes can SPIN?!? - Duration: 7:43.

This episode was made possible by generous supporters on Patreon.

Hey Crazies.

Black holes are insane!

Did you know they can spin?

What?!

I know, right?!

Let's compare and contrast.

According to general relativity, a non-rotating black hole has two parts:

An event horizon, a boundary we can't see beyond

and a physical singularity, a point of infinite density and infinite curvature.

A rotating black hole has two event horizons and ring singularity, or ringularity,

which is a ring of infinite density and curvature.

Now, all of this might leave you wondering.

How can anything possibly have infinite density?

And, wait, two event horizons? What does that even mean?!

All of which are, not only valid questions, but they're good ones.

So, let's keep something in mind.

Unless it can be experimentally verified, you probably shouldn't call it science.

Having points or rings of infinite density is fun math, but cannot be reality.

So all this really shows us is a place where the math doesn't match our universe.

Not where the universe is broken.

Whether the black hole is rotating or not,

our clear scientific knowledge ends at the event horizon.

We'll be ignoring any results the math gives us inside it.

That being said, anything outside the horizon is fair game

and there are three things we can detect there.

Well, at least if we ignore quantum mechanics.

One: mass or better yet energy,

two: charge,

and three: angular momentum.

Mass is the easiest thing to detect about a black hole.

It shows up in the curvature of spacetime near a black hole,

and, farther away, we can sometimes see stars orbiting it

like the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy.

Charge is detectable in a similar same way.

It leaves an electric field outside the event horizon.

Full disclosure though: while charged black holes are possible, they're not very likely.

They would quickly attract a bunch of opposite charge and become neutral.

The same cannot be said for angular momentum or spin.

Unlike charge, spin is something black holes definitely have.

How do we know that?

Conservation principles!

Just like the amount of energy and the amount of charge stay the same over time,

so does angular momentum.

You've seen this before with figure skaters.

If they bring their mass in closer to the xis of rotation, they speed up.

Stars are spinning too.

When their cores collapse into black holes they speed up just like the figure skater.

And a black hole is so much smaller than the stellar core that made it.

Tiny by comparison.

They go from the size of a star to the size of small city.

That is a dramatic change in size,

which means there's a dramatic change in rotational speed.

How fast are they spinning?!

Fast fast!

Let's say we're dealing with a small one, like, 3 times the mass of the Sun.

Its event horizon will be spinning at about 1/10th of a percent the speed of light.

That might not sound like much, but it's around 1 million miles per hour.

Fast fast!

And those are the slow ones.

If they've been around for a while, they can absorb angular momentum from the stuff they eat

and they'll speed themselves up over time.

The supermassive one at the center of our galaxy is spinning at over 30% the speed of light.

There is an upper limit though.

They seem to max out at the speed of light,

which makes sense since that's the universal speed limit.

Also, if a black hole spun any faster, the event horizon would disappear,

exposing the physical singularity to the rest of the universe.

It would be called a naked singularity if it could happen,

which it can't.

Anyway, if you want to know more about how we actually measure this speed,

Veritasium did a great video on this recently.

I'm not going to talk about it.

I'm not an experimentalist.

Hey, you're getting side tracked. Don't forget to talk about the ergosphere.

Oh! Right right. I almost forgot. Thanks Nerd Clone.

The ergosphere is a weird region of space just outside the event horizon.

Here's the outer edge of it compared to the event horizon itself.

But to really understand what happens in there, we need the spacetime metric.

This is the familiar metric around a non-rotating black hole.

Like any metric, it's basically just Pythagorean Theorem for 4-dimensional spacetime.

If you're subscribed and have been watching for a while, you've seen this before.

Subscribe!

Are you ready?

This is the metric around a rotating black hole.

Angular momentum really messes everything up.

It's nasty!

Thankfully, we don't need to do anything crazy math with that thing.

We just need to look for some patterns.

This thing here is in a denominator, so when it's zero, this fraction blows up to infinity.

So this tells us where the event horizon is.

This term goes to zero before we get to the event horizon.

Where that happens is the outer edge of the ergosphere.

If the math is getting overwhelming, just remember this diagram from earlier.

The ergosphere is outside the event horizon

and, let me tell you, some weird [beep] happens in there.

As the black hole spins, it drags the surrounding spacetime along with it

as well as any matter and light in that spacetime.

We call it frame dragging because your entire frame of reference can get dragged along

with the black hole's spin.

Inside the ergosphere, your frame is dragged so much that,

that it's physically impossible for you to sit still, no matter how much thrust you have.

Stationary paths just aren't possible.

Hmm, this might make more sense with a spacetime diagram.

If we include time in our picture, a stationary path looks like this.

Near a non-rotating black hole, you can maintain that with a good amount of thrust.

But if the black hole is rotating, it doesn't matter how much thrust you have

or even what direction you point that thrust inside the ergosphere.

You're going to rotate with the black hole no matter what.

Being in there does give you an opportunity though.

You're still outside the event horizon, so you can escape with enough thrust.

If you go in on just the right path and break off part of your ship just the right way,

you could escape with more energy then you had when you entered.

Does that create energy?

No, no, don't be ridiculous!

Conservation of energy shall not be violated!

The only possibility is that you took energy from the black hole.

The black hole would slow down a little bit, losing rotational energy.

We already know that nothing can escape the event horizon,

so this rotational energy must be in the spacetime outside it.

And I mean all of it.

We can keep doing this until we've taken all the black hole's rotational energy.

In the end, it'll be a non-rotating black hole.

So how do rotating black holes work?

Rotating black holes have an event horizon just like non-rotating ones.

It's just that the rotating event horizon is smaller and flatter.

But what makes rotating black holes special is the ergosphere.

It's a weird place where your entire frame of reference is dragged along with the rotation of the black hole

and, since that rotational energy is outside the event horizon,

we can steal it from the black hole.

After all the stars in the universe stop burning and all the white dwarfs cool into black dwarfs,

Rotating black holes will probably be the only source of energy left in the universe.

So, do you think humans will survive long enough to be a black hole civilization?

Please share your thoughts in the comments.

And until next time, remember, it's OK to be a little crazy.

The featured comment comes from Rock Shop who asked:

If the energy comes from the field, why does the battery matter?

Because the electric current is the reason the energy transfer is happening

and you don't get a current without the electric field from the battery.

There's no free lunch.

All debts must be repaid.

Anyway, thanks for watching!

Top 10 Scariest Dating Sims - Duration: 8:25.

Dating Sims over the past few years have really blown up in popularity.

The visual novel was always a beloved genre, but recently, thanks to the rising accessibility

of indie games, more and more have found their way onto the PCs or consoles of curious gamers.

From Hatoful Boyfriend to Dream Daddy to so many more, it's easy to see why North Americans

are becoming obsessed with these narrative driven choose your own adventure and love

interest tales.

It seems as if there's a dating sim for anything, including dating t-rexes, pigeons,

printers, you name it.

This has also extended to characters and romantic scenarios that have dipped their toes into

the horror genre.

So today, we're counting down a handful of selects with our list of the top 10 scariest

dating sims.

Viewer discretion advised.

10 Tomak: Save the Earth Tomak Save the Earth typically falls into

the 'creepy AF' category when it comes to dating sims.

It's not one that will have you sweating bullets, but it'll definitely make you feel

uncomfortable if you're not playing it for irony's sake.

It also makes use of a different objective compared to other dating simulators; instead

of trying to hook up with your potential love interests, you're looking after a female

head, who claims to be the head of the Goddess of Love, inside of a planter.

Sure you can take her out on dates and whatnot, dressing her up in scarves (YUP), but ultimately,

you're tending to her regrowth.

And if you fail, the world will end.

There's also some intense looking otherworldly characters who also make an appearance in

the game.

9 He Beat Her He Beat Her is already a dark title to begin

with.

It deals with domestic abuse.

You play as a lawyer, whose client is being accused of said abuse.

You have 5 minutes before the verdict of the case is revealed.

It's a mystery interactive story with moral and immortal paths, whose artistic design

and it's dream like tone really help the narrative hit home.

If you're more so into the brand of horror that's a little more realistic, and could

come straight out of a newspaper headline, this one is for you.

8 Creepy Pasta Curtain Call: A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life is the dating sim where you get to woo the horrorifying antagonists

from some of the internet's most popular creepy pastas!

Yay!

We're talking Slender, Jeff the Killer, Laughing Jack, you name it!

While it might not be inherently scary, the art in the game is quite promising, and the

whole self referential meta humour incorporated into the narrative might creep you a bit.

The dating sim used to have a demo available to download off of tumblr, but as of now,

it seems a little difficult to track down.

Perhaps it's become a creepy pasta of it's own.

SPOOOOKY.

7 Date Night Date Night is a survival horror dating sim

that was created by Darby Costello for his entry in the Ludum Dare 41 game jam.

Meaning, it's a game that you can't get (yet, hopefully, because it looks amazing).

Trapped in a 1980s inspired point and click, the game follows protagonist Trey, a trust

fun game developer who has recently moved to a new city.

As the game play footage shows, when a woman named alive shows up, he gets more than he's

bargained for, and the game becomes a race for survival.

Alice is a man-eater, quite literally.

She tells him that her plan is to chop him up into itty bitty pieces and consume his

flesh.

You then control trey as he runs around his monochrome apartment, trying to tick off the

relationship inspired requirements at the bottom left of the screen in order to survive

the 'date'.

The theme of the jam, as Costello writes, was incompatible genres, and was made under

72 hours with the Unreal Engine.

6 Cupid Cupid is a dating sim set in 18th century

France, putting the player in the shoes of a character named Mother.

It's marketed as a unique twist to the visual novel decision making medium, with you deciding

the fate of characters, scolding them or consoling them.

It's description reads, "Rosa's best friend, Catherine, is dead and she is sure

Catherine's betrothed, Marquis Guilleme is to blame.

Mother says so.

Mother says he has to pay with his life.

Although, she knows by now Guilleme is no ordinary man.

He is tainted.

A monster.

He cannot be killed by usual means.

To seek the best revenge, she must find out all of his secrets and destroy him.

But will her own dark desires consume her, or liberate her?

No matter.

Mother will tell her what to do."

So yeah, shit gets dark at times.

It's a visual novel game that's gotten great reviews, and even won VNs Now's 2015

English Visual novel game of the year, so if 18th century intrigue and mystery does

it for you, definitely check Cupid out.

5 We Know the Devil We Know the Devil is a group relationship

horror visual novel; it's a story about three kids, mean girl Neptune, tomboy Jupiter,

and shy Venus.

They have to endure one more week of summer camp, but before they leave, they need to

spend 12 hours in the loneliest cabin in the woods and wait for the devil to come.

And of course, live through the night.

Or not.

Now, spoiler warning, skip ahead if you don't want to hear this – the character who ends

up being the most excluded out of the three friends becomes the Devil and is transformed

into a monstrous form.

Where this game really shines though is through it's eerie atmosphere; something that's

really essential to nail down if you're making a horror dating sim or visual novel.

Reviewers have even compared the game to Twin Peaks.

Side note, it's hilariously priced for 6 dollars and 66 cents.

Brilliant.

4 But I love you Created by Mel Gorsha, But I Love you is a

horror inspired take on classic dating sim games.

The kickstarter, which reached above and beyond it's goal, describes it as, I quote, "You've

wandered into a nearby empty town that's full of nothing but cute girls.

Who all want you.

What could go wrong?

Just watch."

You're a stranded new comer who the girls attempt to keep there, forever, with the game

transforming into a puzzle horror game.

You have the choice of ignoring all of the strange happenings and creepy traits of the

ladies who pursue you, and just date them, or, solving puzzles to escape.

Some of the endings included result in you dying, too.

3 Quantum Suicide As it's described, Quantum Suicide is a

game of betrayal, deception and romance in the cold depths of space in the year 2117.

The science fiction thriller is a dating sim set in a story in which a diverse crew on

an intergalactic mission are fighting to survive, and to not be killed at the hands of a deadly

AI.

Or each other.

Murder in space?

Sign me up.

The AI forces you to play something called The Deletion Game in which you must battle

your crew mates for survival.

If you're a fan of space themed horror, and want to give a dating sim a go, Quantum

Suicide will be right up your alley.

2 Song of Saya Song of Saya is visually terrifying.

It's been described as a Lovecraftian horror dating sim, and it's 18 plus.

Why?

Cause it's content matter includes murder, cannibalism, and a ton of blood and gore.

The game's protagonist wakes up after his family is killed in a gruesome car accident,

and the world around him has morphed into a the stuff of body horror.

It looks like you're inside an actual wound.

It's fleshy, it's gorey, and it's the stuff of nightmare fuel.

Slowly declining into madness, you end up meeting a girl named Saya, who, SPOILERS FRIENDS

by the end of the game, is not at all who she seems to initially be.

There's also a lot of sex.

1 Doki Doki Literature Club Doki Doki Literature Club is perhaps the most

publicized dating sim on this list.

When it was released, it got a lot of hype for subverting the dating sim genre in a really

gruesome and self reflexive way that many players didn't anticipate.

And it definitely lives up to the horrors it's many reviewers promise.

For context, before you begin the game, it literally has a warning that reads This game

is not suitable for children or those who are easily disturbed.

Individuals suffering from anxiety or depression may not have a safe experience playing this

game.

It's a psychological horror that breaks the fourth wall, using metafictional and horror

elements that, back in 2017 when it was released, made it one of the most surprising games of

the year.

The game seemingly starts off as a regular dating sim, although certain details about

the members of the literature club, Sayori, Natsuki, Yuri and Monika, all begin to foreshadow

a darker reality.

Without giving away any spoilers, possible endings can involve suicide, graphic sequences

of self harm, sentient AI and much more.

It's scary AF.

We actually did a list on Doki Doki literature club a while back, so hop on over to our channel

after this video and give it a look if you want all of that spoilery goodness.

It highlights even more of the twisted dark stuff that goes down in the game's narrative.

A teenager by the name of Georgina Paraskeva was rushed to hospital after having a major

allergic reaction to a hair dye that not only temporarily blinded her, but as she says left

her looking like a monster.

The reaction caused Georginas face to balloon double in size after she used Clairols Nice

and Easy hair dye.

Aint nothing nice nor easy about this allergic reaction.

Honestly though she is lucky to be alive after this severe reaction to a chemical in the

hair dye known as Para-phenylene-diamine or PPD for short.

The chemical is primarily found in dark hair dyes and after this incident she is now speaking

out to warn people.

This was a terrifying experience for Georgina that ended up with her alive but she wants

people to know the potential risks involved and to be aware of alternatives.

Georgina said - It was honestly the most horrific experience of my life.

Looking back at the pictures now is just horrible, my head doubled in size and I looked like

a monster.

She had used the hair dye in the past with no issues, but while on a date with her boyfriend

she said her head began to feel really hot and itchy.

Over the course of the next two days her head began to balloon.

She called an operator ran hotline for this kind of situation and the operator suggested

she take an antihistamine to combat the swelling.

She picked up some the following day, but her face only continued to swell so much that

her eyelids shut entirely causing her to lose sight.

She reports that the warning signs along with her head feeling itchy and hot, was blisters

beginning to form on her scalp and the skin on her hairline was really crispy as she puts

it.

After receiving a steroid cream and being taken care of by her family because her loss

of sight lasted for several days, Georgina now is fully recovered.

However she is going to avoid using any chemicals in her hair from now on.

Instead she uses coffee granules to tint her brunette hair.

She says - Ive started using natural remedies on my hair now and use coffee granules to

colour it, it works really well.

In a statement the hair dye company Clairol said - The safety of the people who use our

products is our first and most important priority, so we were very concerned to hear about Ms.

Paraskevas experience with Nice n Easy No Ammonia when we were first made aware of the

incident.

- Adding - Allergic reactions are very rare and hair colourants are extensively researched

to ensure they are safe when used as directed and it is imperative patch tests are conducted

at least 48 hours before each colouring occasion.

I want to hear your thoughts on this story though so comment down below if youve ever

used this hair dye or if you have any natural remedies for the potatoes wishing to get their

hair did.

Now lets check out some of your featured comments from the video titled - If you find one of

these in the wall dont touch it and call 911 ESC Mateja says - Hey Police, I've found an

USB in a wall.

-It sounds crazy when you say it like that Angel loves BTS says - Or you could pull it

out and step on it. Tusse says - I found one once…

I touched it…

Couldn't take it out, it was stuck -Well they are usually cemented into the wall.

But more importantly I said dont touch it!

Happy 2 Be Here says - The police told me no crime is being committed and to call the

FBI -Seems legit

Kae says - Ive never been featured, thats okay but if someone gets mugged and their

laptop gets stolen from this.

Remember who called it.

Much love -Theres your feature and thank you for understanding
