BEAUTIMUS! | Sacramento - Duration: 8:08.

hello everyone it's me Jayskibean and welcome to Sacramento now this game I feel like

I think it's a walking simulator but look at the art on this game it's

beautiful and the music's supposed to be really good too and I'm just going to

jump right on into it and see what it see what happens I'm pretty sure I'm

pretty sure it's just a walking simulator where you can look at the

scenery it's like a playable piece of artwork I feel like it's supposed to be

released from the description on issue that's what I got from it was itchy

arrow game Joel I can never remember where I got these games if you want to

find any of the games I ever play there either on Steam bitchy or gamejolt

otherwise I'll probably leave a link in the description where I'll tell you in

the video that is time going forwards or backwards it's for you to decide

I don't know but we just got off the tracks

see at first I thought it was just from those itchy

the frame rate was going down but it's actually the art style of everything it

just looks like it saying everything is moving it looks like everything is hand

drawn in this place it's pretty cool I'm so peaceful and tranquil and other

synonyms for the same thing look at the bird

aid the flamingos I feel like I'm at Busch Gardens hey guys I don't know if

any of you've ever been to Busch Gardens or any zoo or anywhere where the

swimming goes but they smell so bad it's tasting good they just poop they

just walk around and poop and their impacts or whatever you call flocks I

think all over to please to place and go starting get some Basie in here those

that a mansion whoa okay well let's take a look inside surprise me a Zelda like

um Link's Awakening work whoa ah it's so cool and now we're taken to Dragon Ball

Z with the area where they train and there's the just the house and the

background and stuff and what there's even a sex when you walk look at that oh

that's so awesome today the developer must have put a lot

of work into this game I'll just kick me out you can only stand there for a

limited amount of time I guess yeah I look is that is that a one burner is

that the Sun we don't know I can't go any further this way oh well either way

it looks like the developer put a lot of work into this game like everything

everything's really well drawn and stuff also as it gets getting late

all the birds are leaving you see that that's really reminiscent of 2012 the

movie when they said the world was going to end in 2012 it was like a y2k type

deal and they made a movie about it where all these natural catastrophes

went down and Delfi famine if you haven't watched it you definitely

shouldn't flat water on it's a good movie maybe it's another into the world

movie but anyway there's a seed were lots of giant fish there's the scene

where all these birds were flying away and that was low okay what is the is the

world like getting smaller that was hello I'm moving very quickly why am I

going so fast as it launched me was that that wasn't it what that was eat I want

to explore some more there's no way there's no way that was it there's no

there's just no way I could live in it could not have been okay so I'm going to

go to the fish first I'm not going to go into that see there's the fish right

there not so cool giant beasts so I didn't get

to go there last time so I guess you only have until the Sun Goes Down to

explore this place that's really cool and the doors close it looks like the

doors close in the in the buildings and pushes you

back to the stars gonna fit but yeah this is so awesome

planet obvious this is my favorite thing those are both the shows up here at some

point or what but I like how it like straight up launched me to the beginning

like back to the start like right where I started to what I don't know called

Sacramento I wonder why it's called Sacramento I know isn't that that's the

capital of California right I'm really bad state to capital if you guys haven't

noticed really bad was a lot of like memory type stuff so anyway I don't know

what ties this to to the name Sacramento I don't know I'm probably never gonna

get over how gorgeous this game is it's very well done is there anything else

over here besides the feesh so let's get towards the Sun let's go there play and

see I don't know I don't know if it's like

some kind of symbolism or what this is the scheme there's nothing under the

water it's all like just a bunch of water I don't know why I'm trying to

figure something out with this game like it's supposed to be a walking piece of

artwork and I'm like I gotta beat it I just beat the game it's really chill

it's really nice it's a really different but they do it a lot of horror games

recently and this is this is a big breath of fresh air for me to go through

a game like this and okay so it closes at a specific time then at night I write

before everything stops and the Sun Goes Down this is anything this way you think

this way that I haven't seen yet oh don't stop don't don't push me away yet

I just want to see oh it's like the liking pretty deer in aa I don't know I

don't know the lyrics to that song oh here comes yeah there we go we're

getting pushed away now yay in the ichigo's I guess I'll run I'll get stuck

you get stuck whoa I'm going through stuff okay yep okay I didn't miss

anything I don't feel like I miss anything

it just happened again cool alright so yeah that's Sacramento that's pretty

cool that's really cool I like it this is um a walking simulator very short

very small you have until sundown to observe all the art in this world and

its really it's really nice it looks like it's all hand drawn and colored and

painted with all that stuff and it's it's awesome all the way down to the

music and if you've been playing a lot of hoborg and horror games you can't

even say over and you get scared a lie and you're stressed or something this is

the game for you this is so nice and so relaxing and it takes the edge off and

sit back have a nice bowl of cereal and edges just look at all the art like I

love this kind of stuff oh and it's starting on its own again

okay well anyway asked to finish the episode off there I hope you guys

enjoyed if you guys did enjoy make sure you slap that like button underneath the

video and until next time I'll see you guys later

you

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - S01E29 - Episode Review - Duration: 3:47.

Welcome to Ranger Reviews, a webseries where we look at episodes of the tv show, Power

Rangers and then discuss it!

Today, we're exploring the twenty ninth episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, titled

"Island of Illusion Part 2".

I'm going to be frank before we get into this episode: shit is about to get repetitive,

so my apologies if this video shorter than usual.

Zack is still disappearing, and the Quagmire, the little person, appears to let him know

that basically, he needs to believe in himself to not disappear into nothingness.

Zack remembers his fight with Knasty Knight, and he's saved.

Are you ready to do this five more times, kids?!

Alpha and Zordon are trying to contact the Rangers, but they can't.

Alpha gets zapped in the ass three times by hitting the wrong button.

Great cutaway, everyone.

Kimberly finds Bulk and Skull on the Island of Illusion being nice to a woodland creature,

and it terrifies her because if Rita could make them be that nice, she can do ANYTHING.

This episode is already getting weird.

Kimberly starts to disappear, but she remembers her fight with Terror Toad and comes back.

Then all of a sudden, Tommy sees the other rangers as putties, and even though he's

only seeing five of them, he claims that there's a ton of them?

Whatever, Tommy remembers some other time he fought Putties, and he's saved.

Seriously?

Tommy was evil and had to overcome that, but you choose to have him remember that one time

he beat up those grey dudes outside of the Youth Center?

Trini starts to get shaken up by all of this, scared of when Rita will be coming for her,

and we cut to Rita on the Moon doing just that.

She plans to go after Billy and Trini next because well, there's two out of three left.

Trini starts screaming about how Billy is too high up now, probably because they realized

that when they had her screaming "Billy, you're too high!" over and over again.

Trini remembers conquering her fear of heights, and she's back, but don't worry guys,

Billy's disappearing now.

Instead of just letting the weak link of the team disappear, Billy starts talking about

how his scientific knowledge is no help to the Rangers on the Island of Illusion.

I mean, ok, but he remembers his fight with Madame Woe, and he's back.

Jason says it's time to find a way off this island, but Goldar shows up in the sky to

tell Jason that he's the last one to finish this cycle of hell.

Zack tells Jason not to listen to "her" for some reason, and Jason watches his friends

start to disappear while he's actually disappearing.

He remembers his fight against King Sphinx, and they're done.

Their morphers and communicators return to them for… some reason?

Rita gets pissed, and somehow turns giant and just starts shaking the entire fucking

island?

Why didn't she just do this to begin with?!

The Rangers morph out of there, and they appear in their Zords.

How long were they gone?

Was Mutitis just standing there smoking a cigarette?

The Megazord and the Dragonzord come together as the…

Megadragonzord.

Literally everything has the same name.

They fire a laser that makes a giant letter "Z" at Mutitis, and he's dead.

The Rangers get into Titanus to create the Ultrazord, and while firing, Lokar also fucks

off.

Oh well, we're back to that thing everyone forgot about: the dance contest at the Youth

Center!

Bulk dances and does horribly.

To the point that one of the judges give him a negative score!

And of course, Zack dances, and he does great, winning first prize.

Were there only two people dancing??

I don't think Power Rangers knows how competitions work.

Oh yeah, and Quagmire is the DJ.

The end.

This episode is….

Bad.

Somehow it was one of my favorites as a child, but I think it's just because I got to see

some footage of my favorite monster, Terror Toad.

I get what they were going for here, but even as a clip show, it's pretty damn painful.

But I have to say, I like that Jason's greatest fear is that he will fail his team.

That moment gave Jason more depth than the previous 28 episodes had bothered to do, so

I appreciated it.

I also laugh at the fact that Trini is still the same person from episode 2.

She has done nothing!

Will next time get any better?

God, let's hope so, but until then, may the power protect you!

A Guide to Growing Up. – Folge 3: „Schätze Deine Freunde." mit Gizem Emre – Mercedes-Benz - Duration: 3:48.

Do I really need to explain why I'm not answering?

Why I haven't called you back in weeks?

You leave me stranded, you don't take me seriously …

I'm always driving you around, not asking for anything in return …

And what do you do?

(Heiner applauds.)

Hello Gizem.

Hello!

I think I'm a little early.

Perfect timing. I'll show you my favorite cafe.

Appreciate Your Friends.

Everybody has their roots somewhere.

Would you say yours are in Berlin?

Well, I have roots in Turkey, of course …

but I was born in Berlin Kreuzberg

and I grew up here, I spent my entire youth here.

Can you remember the moment when you realized: I want to be an actress?

I did some acting in high school –

and then I decided to go to a talent agency,

just to see whether I had potential.

I had my first casting the following week, for "Fack Ju Göhte" …

I can remember when I first started to make movies,

it used to be … you had this team that you were with for long periods of time,

and it would feel like a little family.

When you're out on a nighttime shoot, and you're rambling around at 4 a.m.,

You feel like you're all alone in the world, everyone else is asleep,

and it's just you and the team out there.

So far I have always been lucky enough to work with very nice people.

But I was finishing high school, and somewhere in between I was shooting "Fack Ju Göhte"

and shooting other films

and before I even graduated, I was involved in another project,

and it just went on like that.

When I had a two month break in between jobs, I thought,

I need to see my friends.

While I was shooting, they were all out partying, they were outside, having nice dinners …

and I missed out on all of it, but it was worth it and I'm grateful.

Your best friend lives abroad, doesn't she?

Yes, she went abroad to study medicine.

But I know, if she ever had a problem, she would come to me,

and the same goes for me. No matter what time, no matter what day …

I could come to her, even if I can't see her every month.

I generally think that friendship is something transparent.

It doesn't always have to be present. You don't need to see them every single day

in order to know they're your friends.

I think carrying your friend in your heart

and knowing you can rely on each other, that's the basis of a friendship.

Has anything changed in your life in that regard?

I did lose some friends, unfortunately.

Strangely enough, it happened early on. The first movie wasn't even out yet

and I was losing friends

because they were trying to ruin it for me.

The truth was, they wanted to be in my place.

Of course I was very, very sad back then.

When you're young, you have the most intense friendships.

It's really hard when those just disappear overnight.

But that's in the past and I'm not one to look back.

What does growing up mean to you?

Responsibility, maybe.

But I don't see myself as a grown-up.

Want to know something?

It never stops feeling that way.

How to come in some one's Dream\Dreams of some one||English Subtitles|| किसी के सपनों में कैसे आयें? - Duration: 10:09.

Yes Friends!!

You can come in anybody's dreams...

Just like someone comes in your dreams,

Not only this, you can give him a message.

In this there is no significance of the duration of distance,

He or she lives in your neighborhood

Or in another country

Do not use different methods for this..

Only one method is to be used

Not so, to send messages to your neighborhood, less power is needed......

...And to send messages to the foreigner, more power is required.

This method completly based on the principles of psychology

And these capabilities are also inherent in you like every human being,

It can be done by any man and woman.

And your will can come in any one's dreams on his will power

The only requirement is to do it in the right way

I have tried this method

So there is no scope for suspicion

Hello! Dear Friends! I am Sanjay Kumar Garg

you are welcome once again in the Indian Literature and Culture Channel.

with the video which was the most demanded.

I had hundreds of comments for this video

I'm sorry to bring this video late

Dear friends, if you have not subscribed my channel

Press the bell icon by subscribing to the channel

So that you get updates for each of my videos

Second if you want to come in someone's dreams..

So watch this video from the beginning to the end.

Do not leave anything incomplete

Because if you miss a line then all your hard work can be useless

Because at the end of the video I have given some tips too...

With these tips you will succeed soon!

It is my belief

If you are ready to come to someone's dreams now

come to someone's dreams now

Then look at the video-

Friends !! For this method you have to choose that time...

The time your receiver is slept

The time of 3 to 4 p.m. is a time in which everybody is asleep

At this time, we dream most

And the person who receives your message or whoever is also a dream..

..will be walking in the world

He will sleep and you have to wake up.

Because you do not see the dream,

you have to dream of others

So you have to wake up

So get up at 2:00 to 2.30 in the morning,

Wash hands and mouth, eliminate laziness,

you can drink tea coffee

Sit on a chair or rest chair

Keep a picture of him in front of you..

..Which you want to come to dream

Trāṭaka on his photo

See his picture sticky

If you not have his Picture.

His Picture sit on his mind..

Anter trāṭaka enter on his mind image

I have given, method of trāṭaka in his last video,

See his Picture some Time and

and set his image in his Mind

See his picture again and again

And close your eyes and look is Image.

Enter deep meditation..

and enter deep meditation.

and Imagine that he is standing in front of you.

Call him by his nickname again and again

nickname s the name that is taken at home with love

Mix him in his face,

enter deep meditation.

and Imagine that he is standing in front of you.

if you are Romeo then be Juliet,

If you are Juliet then be Romeo

enter deep meditation.

enter and enter deep meditation.

The pain of love, by becoming introspective,

when it comes out of the heart.

So God Himself goes away too,

What is human?

In this way call him again and again in his mind,

and Go to sleep right there.

Do not fall from the chair. keep in mind

But at least this method is 30 minutes or more before sleeping,

Friends !! If you practiced it for at least forty days without missing any Day and Fix Time

Fix time means practiced at the same time per day

If you practiced it for at least forty days

My claim is that you will come 100 percent of his dreams

If you trāṭaka attention or other attention..

..So this method shows the effect very quickly.

This is my expe

This is my claim and experience

1- Whose dreams you want to come, He has definitely seen your face

Or, once a day, show him his face with some excuse.

If he/she has not seen your face, because he does not know who are you?

Because he/she does not know you

You will become a prince or a princess of dreams for his dreams

And your hard work will be useless.

therefore Whose dreams you want to come, He has definitely seen your face

2-If you want to dream, you receiver lives in another country

When there is night?, you have to find out!

When it's 3 o'clock in that country

Then how many rings in your country?

Richard (RichieAU) | The Road to Nerdfighteria - Duration: 2:13.

What's up, nerdfighters? My name is Richard and this is my road to Nerdfighteria.

Non-existent intro!...So it all began for me in about 2009. 2009 was a very

innocent time. I had just become high school freshman. Obama was president. I

think YoOLO was still living and the Cubs hadn't wanna World Series in.....a while. I

also had this thing called an iPod Classic. It was newfangled technology and on

the iPod Classic I had a podcast called Best of Youtube. This podcast would take

videos that were going viral and would download them and then upload them to

the podcast. You could download videos like every day or two and be like

"Whoa, chocolate rain! That's....neat! What am I doing with my hands? It's a 2009 thing." And one of

these days, I came across a video entitled 50 Jokes In Three Minutes or

something like that. Those were more click baity times. So I watched

that video and I'm like, "Hey! That's pretty neat and I find the Vlogbrothers

channel and I come to find that John Green...is in fact....a Hoosier. For those who

don't know who, a Hoosier is someone from Indiana. Is that reading correctly? I start

watching the Vlogbrothers channel in part. I mean, they're interesting at all,

but in part, because I'm learning that there's more to Indiana than just corn.

(Newschannel reporter): "Working to prove, for the 90th year, that, YES, there is more than corn in Indiana."

Long story short, I read some books. Watch some Swindon Town SwoodilyPooper videosm

put a llama on my backpack. I don't even know. Can someone tell me is this....? To be

honest, I don't even know if this is a llama. Can someone tell me? Is this a llama?

Or is it an alpaca? And now I have John Green's face on a t-shirt. What?!?!

So that's how I became a part of this community. Shout out to all the people

who are working on this project. Thank you so much for organizing all of these

stories. I can't wait to hear more and I will see you next time....

What is this? It's also a 2009 thing!

STARTING 4th YEAR OF MED SCHOOL + NEUROLOGY ROTATION REVIEW - Duration: 11:19.

Hey everyone!

Long time, no talk!

I wanted to quickly check-in and find of give you guys an update of what I've been doing

with my life since the last video that went live--which is the My Amsterdam vlog and the

apartment tour.

So like I mentioned in that video, right after I came back I started my neurology rotation,

which was 3 weeks and it's very short and I found myself feeling like I had to study

for it all the time because the exam, the shelf exam, was coming up at the end of the

shelf--oh, at the end of the clerkship.

I was doing my hospital duties, studying and I remember just like feeling burnt out because

it was the end of 3rd year.

I mentioned this in the last video that I think 3rd year is one of the hardest years

of med school just because you're constantly being thrown into this new situations.

And you're always being evaluated both in the hospital and kind of as a person, as a

student but also you have the shelf exam looming over your head during the whole clerkship

and then you're supposed to go home after a long day at the hospital and study for this

exam that is going to make a big part of your grade.

So third year, and with neurology being my last clerkship, I was feeling burnt out.

Thats why I tried--or on more than one occasion to vlog my week or my day on neurology and

I found myself not being able to continue because I would either forget or there will

be large gaps between filming that it didn't really make sense.

Basically, I tried to vlog but I didn't really blog.

Neurology was pretty interesting.

The whole clerkship was three weeks like I said.

The first week and a half was spent on stroke service, so that's basically going to code

strokes, taking care patients who just had stroke and then second half of the clerkship

was basically general neurology consult--so thats anything from seizure patients to like

if someone had a cardiac arrest and they felt that the patient was brain dead, they would

want neurology people to come in and give their opinion, do their exam, do sort of the

brain stem reflexes and see what was intact and what wasn't.

So they call that prognostication.

So would call neurology consult to do some of that as well.

So I went to some of those, and kind of peppered between hospital days, we also had clinic

where we saw some pediatric neurology cases.

Lots of migraine, saw some seizure disorders.

I saw a case...

I saw a child with duchenne muscular dystrophy--which I have never seen before.

So that was interesting.

So that's what I did and now I'm home.

It's Friday night, it's about 7:30pm.

I'm pretty tired.

I think I'm gonna take this weekend off because starting next week----actually, next week

I'm gonna be in Korea but the week after that, week of July 4th.

I'm starting my away rotation, that's me going to different hospitals.

A lot of people see it as a long term interview.

Basically, it's hospitals where I want to end up in for residencies, so you have to

do good job so I'm kinda gearing myself up for that away rotation experience.

I'm most likely taking this week off.

I've been working on my personal statement, here and there and on and off and really trying

to stay on top of my residency applications schedule.

But there is a lot going on.

It's very like stress inducing because you feel like--I'm sure you guys feel the same

way for medical school applications.

It just feels like it's gonna determine your life, and I know it's not.

The best thing you can do, is to just do your best and try not to freak out and stay calm

and just think of ways where you can best show who you are and not try to be someone

else.

So I'm gonna keep that in mind as I go through the residency application process, and try

not to freak out and just stay calm and just be myself.

That's my, that's my two cents I guess regarding the application process, which is coming up.

Anyway, I'm gonna probably eat something for dinner and watch.

There are couple things I'm watching.

I'm watching the new Orange Is The New Black and I recently got season 1 of The Fresh Prince

because I thought it was a nice light-hearted short 30 minute show that you can watch for

fun.

So, I'm watching those two things and really liking it.

So I will check back in with you guys a little later.

I have a couple things I wanna talk about and this, I will most likely pick up tomorrow.

I will see you guys tomorrow, Saturday.

Hey guys!

Good morning!

It's Saturday.

Officially, as of today I'm a fourth year medical school student.

Isn't that crazy.

This past week I just finished my introduction to 4th year week.

Its a lot of orientation, getting trained on how to put in orders in the EMR, getting

ACLS training, and all that fun stuff and its finally over!

And now, I'm a forth year medical student.

Hard to believe that the past three years have gone by so fast.

(previous vlog snippet) so I have the mattress on the floor right now.

I'm in the process of getting a maybe a new bed.

So that's why that's on the floor.

Stuff in boxes still, I haven't unpacked completely but yes, this is it.

I have a bed!

And I have the bedroom more or less set up.

So this bed is from IKEA and the cool thing about this bed is under hear is all storage.

So you can see, it actually fits a lot of stuff.

This is like full.

This has like 3 pillows and a big comforter in it and I think this one has some blankets

and things like that.

One cool thing, I saw on pinterest this IKEA hack that you can do.

You can customized these handles.

The bed actually comes with a flat, white, handle but I got these handles from IKEA and

I spray painted it gold and I use these handles instead of the original handles the bed came

with and I think it turned out really cool.

I really like the way it looks.

This bed.. took me so long--it took me and boyfriend over 6 hours to make.

So it was a very complicated process.

That's my bed.

And I have couple dressers.

These are also from IKEA and I built them myself and I'm really proud.

I would say that room is coming along nicely.

I really like the way it looks.

Oh, let me show you guys something.

My 100 thousand subscribers plaque finally came in.

I'm so proud.

I have it displayed here on my bed.

I just wanna say thank you to everyone who supported me and followed me and this is all

thanks to you guys that I got this cool silver play button.

Thank you!

So, the living room is more or less the same.

And my study area is here.

Somebody mentioned to me that my study area is too dark and I agree.

I have a lamp set up over there if you guys can see but it's not bright enough so I ordered

a new lamp that is hopefully gonna come in a couple days and I'll have that all set up.

And by the way I wanna show you guys something really cool.

My friends at JaneandJady, the youtube channel, sent me a couple notebooks and I think it's

so pretty.

This one is the marble one and this one is the pink one and it has graph lining paper,

the graph paper.

And this one is the blank paper.

And they are designed to fit in your white coat and I think they're super pretty so please

go check out JaneandJady at their YouTube channel but also go to their website janeandjady.com

where they have all the cool merchandize.

So I posted a picture recently on Instagram and everyone was asking about my glasses so

I wanted to quickly talk about that.

I got it through the warby parker at home try on program.

I talked about before, basically what you do is you go online and you can pick 5 frames

that you want and they'll send it to you for free.

It will come in a box like this.

And the cool thing is you can actually mix and match regular glasses and sunglasses that

you can try on.

So I ordered couple of sunglasses.

This one and this one, this one looks a little different.

And I ordered three glasses.

One of them is the one that everyone has been asking me about.

It's called dahl, D-A-H-L from Warby Parker.

Also ordered Collis and finally I ordered, Holcomb.

So the great thing about Warby Parker is that they are affortable.

So the glasses start from $95 and that includes the prescription lens and the anti-scratch

and anti-glare coating.

Not only that, every time you buy a pair of glasses, they donate one to someone of need,

so I think it's a great cause to support.

They also have an app on the app store if you order the 5 pairs to try on, you can use

the app to take pictures and kinda compare them side by side and see which ones you like

the best and you can also send it to your friends and family to see which one they like

the best.

So if you guys are interested, in trying the home try on program, go to warbyparker.com/strive.

I'm gonna put the link the in description box as well you guys can pick 5 pairs you

guys wanna try on.

There is no obligation to buy.

It ships free and it's gonna include a free pre-paid shipping label so you can return

all the glasses back when you're done trying them on.

So I'm gonna end the vlog here.

I hope you guys enjoyed the little update.

Also, I hope you guys are having a great summer.

I know a lot of you guys are saying that you miss the vlogs and the videos and starting

late summer slash fall, I'll be back to uploading on my regular schedule every Saturday so definitely

stay tuned for that.

Plan for the rest of the day is I'm gonna have my boyfriend come over, we're gonna cook

together and maybe watch a movie.

So I'm gonna be signing off.

I hope you guys enjoyed the video.

Give it a thumbs up and leave me a comment and I will see you guys in the next video.

Bye!

Top 10 Most Famous Ships in History - Duration: 14:34.

Top 10 Most Famous Ships in History

10.

The Santa Maria

Though less than 70 feet long and by all accounts a slow and hideous vessel, few can deny the

fame the tiny Spanish boat achieved when she brought Christopher Columbus to the new world.

While Columbus has acquired a bad rap of late for his brutality as governor of Hispaniola

and other little foibles he was famous for, no one can deny his extraordinary seamanship

or his courage in making the crossing not just once, but four times during his lifetime.

Unfortunately, the sturdy little Santa Maria would not be making a repeat journey, as she

ran aground on Christmas day, 1492, and was salvaged for her wood (which, interesting

enough, went into the construction of another ship originally called La Navidad—Christmas—because

the wreck occurred on Christmas Day).

While the original is long gone, no fewer than four replicas of the ship have been built

since, all of them capable of putting to sea.

Unfortunately, none of them are exact duplicates as no records of the ship's original construction

exist, resulting in a number of different configurations.

9.

C.S.S.

Hunley

This early excuse for a submarine proved to be far more dangerous to her own crews than

she was to the Union Navy, but she was to start a revolution in naval engineering that

remains with us to this day.

Built by the Confederates in 1863 specifically to sink Union ships then barricading Southern

ports, she sank twice while being tested, killing 13 of her crew (including her designer,

H.L. Hunley) in the process.

Finally ready for her first combat test, on the evening of February 17, 1864, the Hunley,

which never seemed to run out of men eager to serve on her despite the generally suicidal

nature of doing so, snuck up on the Union sloop Housatonic and buried a spar torpedo

in her side.

Remarkably, the torpedo detonated as planned and the Housatonic sank, giving her the dubious

distinction of being the first ship in history to be sunk by a submarine.

Tragically, the little boat didn't make it back to dock but sank for the third and

last time that evening for unknown reasons, taking her entire eight-man crew down once

again.

After sitting on the bottom of Charleston Harbor for the next 136 years, she was finally

located and raised in August of 2000 to great fanfare.

The remarkably well preserved hulk now sits in a specially designed tank awaiting conservation.

8.

U.S.S.

Monitor and C.S.S.

Virginia (aka Merrimack)

While the hours-long battle fought between these two behemoths off Hampton Roads, Virginia

in March of 1862 was relatively unspectacular and ended in a draw, it may have been one

of the most important battles in naval history in that it was the first time two ships made

predominantly of iron rather than wood ever engaged in battle.

The Union-built Monitor—derisively called a "cheesbox on a raft" (which proved to

be a fairly accurate description)—also had the distinction of being the first ship to

possess a rotating gun turret, changing the course of naval warship design for the next

century.

The interesting thing about the Confederate ironclad was that it was built upon the refloated

hull of the Union frigate Merrimack (hence the confusion regarding her name), which had

been scuttled when Norfolk fell into the hands of the South in April of 1861.

Refloated and fitted with massive iron plates, she not only proved to be impenetrable to

cannon fire, but a dangerous weapon the South used to sink a pair of traditional wooden

Union warships a day earlier.

Neither ship fought again or survived the year, however; the Virginia would be blown

up to prevent her from being captured in May of 1862 when Union troops retook Norfolk and

the Monitor would be lost in heavy seas off Cape Hatteras on New Year's eve of that

year, taking 16 of her crew down with her.

(Note: The wreck of the Monitor was located off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina in 1973

and was designated a national landmark.

Since then, many artifacts from the ship, including her turret, cannon, propeller, anchor,

engine and some personal effects of the crew—along with the remains of two of her crew—have

been recovered and are now on display—minus the bodies—at the Mariners' Museum of

Newport News, Virginia.)

7.

U.S.S.

Constitution

Known as "Old Ironsides" due to her sturdy construction, the oldest still intact ship

in America serves as a museum in Boston, Massachusetts.

Still afloat after 213 years, she had an usually long service life, having remained in commission

on and off between 1797 all the way to the Civil War, after which she was made a training

ship and continued sailing periodically right up to her final decommissioning in 1881.

During that time she fought in two conflicts: the First Barbary War—when she battled real

pirates—and the War of 1812, during which she distinguished herself by defeating the

British frigates HMS Guerriere and HMS Java.

It was those engagements that gave her something of a reputation as a ship that could take

on the British in a head-to-head fight, which was no small feat when one considers that

the Royal Navy was the largest and most powerful in the world at the time.

Her fame saved her from the wrecking yard and in 1907 she began serving as a museum

ship.

Old Ironsides has been restored, refurbished and otherwise rebuilt so many times, it is

said her keel is the only part of the original ship that remains, the rest having being replaced

numerous times over the decades.

She can still get underway, however, which she proves once a year when she is towed into

to Boston Harbor for her "turnaround cruise" designed to ensure she weathers evenly on

both sides.

She is also a still officially commissioned warship, with a sixty-man crew who are all

active duty members of the United States Navy.

6.

Battleship U.S.S. Missouri

Though not a participant in any major ship-to-ship sea battles, the "Mighty 'Mo", as she

became known to her crew, had the distinction of being the vessel upon which the surrender

documents that ended World War Two were signed in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945.

But World War Two wasn't the only action the massive 45,000 ton battleship was to sea

in her lifetime; decommissioned after the war, she was reactivated and sent to fight

during the Korean War, and again in 1984, when she became part of Ronald Reagan's

600-ship fleet plan.

She even saw service in the First Persian Gulf War in 1991, when she lobbed cruise missiles

and 16-inch rounds from her massive guns against Iraqi targets in Kuwait.

Today she sits tied up serenely at Pearl Harbor, where she serves as a museum and war memorial.

Interestingly, she is moored just a few hundred yards from the wreck of the Battleship Arizona

(see no.

3), making it possible to see from her decks both the place the war started and the place

that it ended at the same time.

5.

HMS Victory

No single ship serves as a better symbol for the power that was the Royal Navy during the

late eighteenth and early nineteenth century than does Lord Nelson's venerable and, indeed,

almost legendary, flagship.

One of the largest wooden warships ever built, the ship not only saw considerable action

in the last decades of the eighteenth century fighting both the French and Spanish fleets,

but she became the stuff of legends at the pivotal battle of Trafalgar in 1805, where

Nelson was to be mortally wounded but not before besting the combined French and Spanish

fleet and effectively saving England from a sea-borne invasion.

Originally slated to be broken up shortly after the Napoleonic Wars ended, she was saved,

the story goes, by the wife of the First Sea Lord, who, upon learning that the vessel that

had served so long and gallantly was to be delegated to the wrecker's yard, broke into

tears and demanded that he rescind the order.

Being no fool—and perhaps in a well-advised effort at maintaining marital bliss—the

man did exactly that and the ship served for the next century as a pier-side training school.

Heavily restored in 1922 by the British government, she now serves as a museum in Portsmouth,

England, making her one of the oldest ships still afloat in the world.

4.

Battleship U.S.S.

Maine

Some ships become famous not for what they did, but for what they represented.

In this case, the battleship Maine (a tiny thing compared to the later behemoths that

were to carry the title of battleship) became a rallying point for a nation intent on war.

Anchored in the shallow waters of Havana harbor late on the evening of February 15, 1898,

the ship was torn in two by a mysterious explosion and sank in a matter of minutes, killing all

but 89 of her 355-man crew.

Though the cause of the explosion was never determined (some historians and naval engineers

believe it may have been an accidental detonation of her magazines by a coal bin fire), it was

immediately suspected to have been an intentional act of sabotage—probably by a pre-placed

mine—sending the country into a war frenzy that would, in the next few months, propel

the United States into a short and spectacularly successful war with Spain.

While Spanish complicity in the incident has never been proven (and would have been counter-productive

to the Spanish in any case), the battle cry "Remember the Maine" would remain a popular

and long-remembered one for many decades afterwards.

As for the ship itself, in 1911 what was left of her was raised from the mud of Havana Harbor

where she had become a hazard to navigation, towed out to the open sea, and scuttled with

full military honors—a fitting end to a ship that did so little but caused so much

trouble.

3.

German Battleship Bismarck

Perhaps no ship struck as much fear into the heart of the British Navy in the spring of

1941 than the massive German dreadnought Bismarck which, at 823 feet and with a top speed of

30 knots, was the largest and fastest warship then afloat.

Breaking out of her Baltic haven in late May, 1941 intend on decimating the ragged and besieged

British merchant fleet keeping the British Isles afloat, the ship became the subject

of the largest naval hunt in Royal Navy history and one that was to cost the British dearly.

Engaged by the British battle cruiser HMS Hood and new battleship HMS Prince of Wales

off Iceland in the early morning hours of May 24, after a brief but vicious battle the

Hood exploded and sank, taking down all but three of her 1,418-man crew, and left the

Prince of Wales damaged and limping for home.

Damaged herself a day later by British aerial torpedoes, the wounded battleship made a run

for the French coast for repairs, only to be chased down by a pair of British battleships,

the Rodney and King George V, whose combined firepower finally managed to send Hitler's

proud but battered warship to the bottom—along with all but 200 of her 2,200-man crew—after

a two-hour barrage.

There the infamous warship remained undisturbed until it was located by Robert Ballard (the

same man who had found the Titanic three years earlier) in 1989 and carefully examined.

Even then the venerable ship had a story to tell, for it appeared that despite the heavy

damage it endured during its final battle, it was still largely intact, suggesting that

she had been scuttled rather than sunk by the British after all, giving her, even in

death, the last laugh.

2.

Battleship U.S.S.

Arizona

Few ships illicit the sort of emotion among American veterans as does the name Arizona.

A World War One era battle wagon with an undistinguished career, her active life in World War Two lasted

a mere fifteen minutes before she was sunk by a well-aimed Japanese bomb that ignited

her forward magazine and tore her in two during the surprise Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor

December 7, 1941.

The "unlucky shot"—a one-in-million hole in one—killed 1,177 men out of her

crew of 1,400—including her captain and an admiral—and left her a blazing wreck

that was to burn for days.*

Too badly damaged to be salvageable (she was one of only three ships sunk during the attack

that was never repaired) the ship remains there to this day as a war memorial, where

she is visited by literally millions of people every year.

Considering how famous the ship is today, it is interesting that few Americans knew

about the Arizona's fiery fate until years later due to wartime censorship, and that

she lay largely forgotten in the shallow waters of Battleship Row for decades after the attack.

It wasn't until the 1960s that she became a symbol of American resolve and sacrifice

and acquired the mystique—along with a simple but powerful memorial that straddles her remains—that

she enjoys today.

1.

British Luxury Liner RMS Titanic

Easily the most famous ship in history, this luxury liner was designed to showcase mankind's

technological brilliance but instead only illustrated his hubris.

The largest and fastest passenger ship of its time, the British White Star liner left

England on April 10, 1912 on its maiden voyage to New York, only to strike an iceberg five

days later and sink.

While most would imagine two hours would be plenty of time to evacuate the nearly 2,300

souls onboard, the ship had only half the lifeboats needed, dooming some 1,500 passengers

and crew to a watery grave in the middle of the icy North Atlantic.

The sinking sent shockwaves through the maritime community, resulting in wholesale changes

in regulations mandating the number of life boats every vessel was required to carry and

making other much needed safety improvements.

Eventually the ship's name became synonymous with avarice, indifference, and class privilege

(most of the lost having been passengers from steerage) and holds a mystique that, if anything,

has only grown over time.

The ship was rediscovered three miles below the surface of the North Atlantic in 1985,

and has since then become the inspiration for a multitude of documentaries as well as

the backdrop to the most successful movie of 1999.

It could truly be said that with the Titanic, humanity learned a hard lesson that continues

to pay dividends to this day.

Other Famous Ships in History: Battleship Potemkin (Russian warship famous for firing

the first shots of the Russian Revolution in 1905); HMS Bounty (British frigate famous

for its mutiny); HMS Endeavor (Captain Cook's ship used to explore the Pacific Ocean); Mayflower

(the ship that delivered the Pilgrims to Massachusetts in 1620); U.S.S.

Enterprise (the most decorated warship of World War Two); RMS Lusitania (her sinking

in 1916 was the catalyst for America's entry into World War One); Japanese Battleship Yamato

(largest battleship ever built); and the English Galleon Golden Hind (the ship used by Sir

Francis Drake to make the first complete circumnavigation of the globe between 1577 and 1580.)

Actors Who Refused To Accept That Their Movies Were Awful - Duration: 7:17.

Even though filmmaking is a collaborative effort, it's the actors who become the public

face of the final product.

Which can be great when the movie is a hit, and humiliating, when it's not.

While most actors take the occasional negative review in stride, these stars think they just

made the next Citizen Kane.

The Rock

With a 19 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, Baywatch clearly didn't win critics over with its comedic

take on the classic TV show.

Detroit News critic Adam Graham, wrote,

"So what you've got is some basic R-rated humor, a few funnies, some tanned, toned bodies

and a half-baked plot — nothing more, but maybe a little less.

It's "Baywatch."

What did you expect?"

But Anthony Lane of The New Yorker praised The Rock, saying,

"Thank heaven for Dwayne Johnson…who saves the life of the movie.

Whether it deserves to be saved is another matter."

But Johnson wasn't feeling that low Rotten Tomatoes score.

He tweeted, "Fans LOVE the movie.

Critics HATE it.

What a glaring disconnect."

Maybe it was all hype, but it seems like The Rock takes his '90s-remakes a little too seriously.

Ben Affleck

Batman versus Superman: Dawn of Justice was supposed to be the event of 2016.

It would be the first time the two characters appeared in the same film, and it would set

the stage for a movie version of the Justice League to compete with Marvel's The Avengers.

But despite a massive marketing campaign, it bombed.

The Atlantic's Christopher Orr wrote,

"Batman v Superman is a tiresome, ill-tempered film, and one too lazy even to earn its dismal

outlook."

And The Washington Post said the movie showed,

"...protagonists who grimace, scowl and wince their way through heroics with the joyless

determination of shift workers making the doughnuts."

Affleck later blamed audiences for not understanding the film's tone when he sat down with Fox

5 DC.

"People seemed to want to have a lighter tone to the movie"

"Tone isn't like a qualitative thing.

It's subjective, right?

Some tones resonate with me that might not with you."

Affleck, we feel you.

Megan Fox

Despite producer Michael Bay's success with Transformers, the 2014 live-action reboot

of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles bit it hard.

It currently sits on Rotten Tomatoes with a 22 percent, after critics found the movie

way too similar to Bay's previous works, and for all of the wrong reasons.

Critic Christy Lemire wrote,

"It's essentially a Transformers movie…complete with mass destruction, urban panic, white-hot

lighting, inane quips, product placement, explosions and, well, Megan Fox."

And Amy Nicholson of LA Weekly shot,

"If you thought Michael Bay had forgiven Megan Fox for saying he was 'like Hitler,' this

new April O'Neil role is proof he hasn't."

As the no n-CGI face of Turtles, Fox didn't weather the criticism well.

According to Cinemablend, during a press conference, she fired off on audiences.

"Those people can complain – they all go to the theater.

They're gonna love it – and if they don't love it, they can f*** off, and that's the

end of that."

"That'll make sense to you when you see the movie"

Vin Diesel

In 2004, Vin Diesel starred in the The Chronicles of Riddick, a spin-off of the sci-fi flick

Pitch Black.

But despite Diesel's fan-approved character, The Chronicles of Riddick failed at the box

office and with critics, earning just 29 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Washington Post wrote what everyone was thinking, saying,

"The muddy, convoluted story revolves around the star's cool-guy poses and one-liners."

In an interview with Collider, Diesel hyped his film saying,

"You hear a lot of directors talk about how they build worlds, but this is the real deal

and you can tell."

Diesel was so confident in the film that he had waited nine years to work with director

David Twohy again, saying,

"If you ever fell prey to a studio's idea of interchanging a director for something

like that [...] you would lose so much by not having somebody in that chair with a huge

ego about the property."

Diesel knows he's not talking about The Godfather, right?

Will Smith and Cara Delevingne

After the Batman versus Superman bomb, Warner Brothers needed a hit for the DC Extended

Universe.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio authorized an alternative cut of Suicide Squad

— edited by the team behind the trailers, instead of director David Ayer — which became

the version that hit theaters.

The plan didn't work.

Suicide Squad released in August 2016 to bad reviews.

Colin Covert of the Star Tribune wrote,

"This is what happens when the comic book fanboys have taken over the asylum.

It is damaged goods from the get-go, the kind of film grown in a petri dish in Hollywood."

But while talking to Reuters, stars Will Smith and Cara Delevingne were quick to dismiss

the critics as haters.

Smith said,

"I think people had expectations that may have been different, but I'm excited for the

fans to get to vote."

Delevigne added,

"The critics have been absolutely horrific, they're really, really horrible…

I just don't think they like superhero movies."

However, that same year, Captain America: Civil War earned a 90 percent fresh rating

along with Doctor Strange, with Deadpool coming in at 84 percent.

Maybe the problem isn't the critics, guys.

Matt Damon

Before The Great Wall opened in February 2017, star Matt Damon had been battling accusations

of whitewashing for his part in the Chinese fantasy epic.

But the movie had another problem: It stunk.

With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 35 percent, critics weren't exactly blown away.

Rolling Stone's Peter Travers wrote,

"What a bummer that all Chinese master Zhang Yimou and Hollywood star Matt Damon come up

with is a B-level creature feature with delusions of grandeur."

However, Damon blamed the lack of critical appeal on the whitewashing controversy, telling

ABC News,

"I think people maybe thought it was something about building the Great Wall, or something

having to do with actual Chinese history.

It's this crazy monster movie...It's 1100 A.D., but there are monsters.

I guess kind of like Game of Thrones."

You know nothing, Jon Snow — uh, Matt.

Russell Crowe

In 2007, Russell Crowe and director Ridley Scott latched onto a script Variety called,

quote, "A revisionist take on the Robin Hood tale, with Nottingham as a noble and brave

lawman."

It would later be rewritten into a Robin Hood origin story with Crowe playing the legendary

archer instead of the Sheriff of Nottingham.

After Robin Hood landed in theaters in 2010, the Rotten Tomatoes were stewing at 43 percent.

The Miami Herald wrote, "Robin Hood achieves something you never would have thought possible:

it makes you nostalgic for Kevin Costner and Bryan Adams."

Crowe also took some heat for his accent.

During a BBC interview, Crowe was asked if he was going for an Irish accent.

He fired back.

"You've got dead ears mate, you've seriously got dead ears if you think that's an Irish

accent."

"No, I was going for Italian.

Missed it."

Crowe then stormed out, and never came back.

Halle Berry

When Rotten Tomatoes 9-percenter Catwoman hit theaters in 2004, the Halle Berry adaptation

of the DC Comics character was such a disaster that, according to IndieWire, it frightened

Hollywood executives from taking a chance on any female-led superhero films until 2017's

smash-hit Wonder Woman.

The Orlando Sentinel called it, "Arguably the worst superhero film ever made."

And the New York Observer called it,

"The kind of movie that almost guarantees the loss of a few I.Q. points."

But Berry would tell the BBC,

"I pushed myself and grew as an artist in ways that will never be realized by anyone

but me."

As critic Lou Lumenick joked, it's, "A purr-fectly ridiculous and boring cat-astrophe."

OK, ok, we get it.

It's show business

So, maybe these stars signed expensive, convoluted contracts preventing them from admitting they

just tanked it at the box office.

But that doesn't make it any less amusing when they go down swinging over a Teenage

Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.

We all know it's that same larger-than-life personality that will make us line up to see

what they're up to next!
