Waching daily Jul 11 2017

Hi, I'm Vincent Lamassonne,

I'm an environment artist at Ankama and I'm working

on Season 3 of Wakfu.

Right now, I'm the chief assistant.

The environment artist's work comes

after the layout.

The layout is the drawing

and we then add the color.

We add color to the background design.

So, for example, on this background we start off with

a layout shot, in other words, the design.

There is shading and a few props.

But this shot by itself doesn't tell us much

without any characters.

In fact, it's a shot with three characters,

a discussion between three characters who are

in the same background, quite a confined background.

But, because they are the ones we need to see in this shot....

There's no point having an amazing background, it only has to be functional,

it's only there as a support for the dialog.

In other shots, well, that's not always the case.

For example, in this one,

here, there are characters, obviously the characters

have to be legible,

but we don't see them actually, that's not the goal,

the important thing is the background, we're in the hall...

...the banquet hall.

This establishing shot shows us where we are in the story,

the place, the time, the point in the action.

It's what creates an atmosphere or a look.

For example, when we work on this one,

on this particular shot,

the work is partly done by environment artists,

it could be designers, it could be the chief environment artist,

it's often the chief environment artist,

but it could also be the layout men.

It's quite succinct, it's quite rough,

it gives us a hint of the light, atmospheres...

... that the environment artist will actually choose.

There, we have something rough, but if you look at the final shot,

we have something clear, more detailed.

What we also do, we support the character's dialog.

In this one,

we're not dealing with the same problem.

There, it's just focused on the characters.

The place, the point in the story, the viewer knows what

moment it is, the place we're in, the setting

is more confined.

If we remove the characters, you'll see that...

... certain details, if we zoom in,

certain details are just sketched.

We have blurred the foreground to create depth,

we still have several planes, the background...

... the depth still exists, but we have this tree at the back

taking up the whole shot.

The important thing in this shot, is that you don't see it.

The important thing is that we don't notice this tree,

that it doesn't get in the way.

In my first version, I created something

a lot more detailed.

But actually, there's no point having too many details

behind the character.

Here, the two other people on the side

are sufficiently legible.

With her, the thing is, actually, if we draw lines

on it again, for example...

I don't know...

A few more lines,

you see, it's beautiful,

a few more lines.

It would have overloaded the tree

and the background for nothing.

And it creates lines that draw our eye away from

the character, there's already enough detail there,

there's no point.

So, we really needed something that is almost monochrome,

like that.

From time to time we have to, some of us,

especially the chief environment artist,

to add details to the characters,

there you can see a play of light,

things like that, shadows.

This, this could be suggested by design,

it could be suggested by animation,

but it's often suggested by the environment artists,

so that we can integrate the character,

and by integrate, I don't mean blend

the character in with the background,

I just mean that the character exists

in a way that is consistent and aesthetically pleasing.

There you go.

Thank you and goodbye.

WAKFU, la série – Coulisses de la saison 3 – 6 : clean et vectorisation - Duration: 3:21.

Hello, I'm Sad. I'm the chief cleaner

for Wakfu Season Three.

So cleaning is the intermediary step between

the traditional animation and the flash animation.

So what does that mean? We start with the traditional animation that was

given to us by the genga team

and then we clean the elements of the genga.

So the goal is to have as nice an image as possible

on the screen.

So the goal is to correct anatomical errors

and, above all, to add value to the scene.

The goal is really to enrich the image as much as possible

For example, at certain times shadows come and obscure

the legibility of the scene, so we either remove some

or we add some – it all depends on the situation.

Here, I've added a small highlight on the ear.

And technically, apart from the drawing

it's imperative that each part be cut out as cleanly

as possible at each joint of the character's limbs

to make animation easier.

The "flasher" can layer these elements and can

start animating the character

So here in this scene the major difficulty for

the cleaner was to manage line thicknesses

different line thicknesses depending on the movements

to bring depth to the character.

The closer the character is to the camera, the thicker the line is.

The more he backs away the more we return to

a constant line.

Which gives us this result.

At this step, we have everything we need

we have a nice drawing, a nice line,

we have a scene that is well prepared technically.

Now the "flasher" can have some fun.

That wraps it up for the cleaning. Goodbye.

I hope you enjoy watching Wakfu Season Three

as much as we enjoyed making it.

BBQ PIRI PIRI CHICKEN RECIPE - Duration: 7:36.

- Hello everyone welcome to sunny Portugal.

This is a bit random isn't it?

But don't worry we have been sent here for good reason.

Today we are making a phenomenal

Portuguese style Piri-Piri chicken.

But before we dive into this recipe

let me show you around this amazing villa.

Got that inflatable flamingo myself, I call it Fred

really, really cool.

The villa has so many bathrooms and toilets.

My friends and family are here.

If you're interested in seeing the full video

it's on my vlog channel called The Barrys.

There's a link up here for that

and down below in the description.

We are here in the lovely Algarve.

A huge, huge, huge thank you to Villa Plus

and we have had the most amazing, relaxed time

in a beautiful villa here.

We've felt so at home.

It's been the perfect combination

of food, fun, family and friends,

I've brought some with me,

and we've just has the best time ever.

If you're interested in booking a villa with them

there's a link in the description down below.

I highly recommend it, we are definitely coming back.

So while I'm about to make some barbecued Piri-Piri chicken,

my friends and family are just

enjoying some sandwiches right there.

I've got a little director follow me helping me out

this is one of Mark's sons Jack.

Hi mate.

- Hello.

- He's going for the topless look, that's fine.

I opted for not doin' that one.

Table, tennis table.

Pool table.

There's also even a tennis court

right down in the corner there

but, but it's a bit hot for that today.

Right, so let's come on inside.

This is one of the, one of the living areas

and there's like about

seven bedrooms and bathrooms in here.

We might see a familiar face in here.

Hey.

(both laugh)

Alright mate? - Yeah, good.

- Yeah, nice. - Quality wear.

- Yeah, we're just showin' people around.

Yeah, we always wear street vests, don't we?

(laughs)

So yeah, I'm not gonna show you everything

so if you catch the vlog channel,

that is where you'll see the full tour

and what we've got up to here.

But upstairs is a barbecue.

Right, so we've come outside to the quieter area of the

brick barbecue, which is actually a nice suntrap as well

so I need to get some cream back on again.

I've put cream on like five times today,

it's so hot here.

And look, the barbecue is ready.

We're gonna get this lit so we get some nice white coals

and we're gonna cook up our chicken.

But first of all, let's get it marinated.

So, we'll go back inside to our kitchen.

Alrighty then, folks.

So, since being here in Portugal,

there's been different types of Piri-Piri chicken.

There's been a dry rub one which I absolutely love,

but it was a little bit too strong for some people.

So, this one, we can tweak it a bit more

and it's a little bit more of a wetter marinade.

We've got a chicken here in this dish.

We've got a very similar dish up there

which we'll see right at the end

and a bowl to mix our baste together.

So this has actually been spachcocked in the supermarket

that I got it from formerly already.

So basically it means it's lyin' down flat

and it'll cook quicker and generally,

in all the Portuguese places I've seen so far,

they like to serve it spachcocked, flat, yes.

So let's get that to one side

and bring in this bowl.

First thing that's goin' in is some olive oil.

Vinegar, nice bit of tang.

In goes the lemon juice.

Chilli flakes, cayenne pepper, nice bit of heat.

Some sweet paprika, good stuff this.

Pinch of salt, boom.

And this is a tablespoon of chopped garlic right in there.

So it's quite a wet mix and we're just gonna go

re, re, re.

Lovin' the colour.

And that is gonna stain our chicken beautifully.

So, we'll bring the chicken back in.

In you come.

Now the villa came with this handy pasty brush

which was amazing because it's gonna

make this step much easier.

We are just gonna paint.

We actually are gonna paint the chicken, okay?

I'm not gonna hide it any other way.

We can pour it on, right, and just, like,

bring it all up, or you can sort of

caress it with the brush in between all of the

nooks and crannies and that is exactly what I'm gonna do.

We're also gonna baste it during the cooking as well.

So, obviously when handling raw meat you need to

wash your hands but do make the most of gettin' it into

every little gap that you can.

It's really gonna drive that flavour in there,

really maximise it.

So, we're stainin' the inside of it too,

that's not the most attractive bit

but it's gotta be done folks.

It's smellin' amazing already and it's just the marinade

but once you get the smell of the charcoal in there as well,

I'm very excited about this.

Right, I reckon I've stained that enough.

What do you reckon, Jack?

- [Jack] Yeah.

- Nice one.

Alright, let's get this on the barbecue.

Alright, here we go to the barbecue.

Kindly helped by Jamie, he's makin' this together here,

he's found some, he's foraged for wood.

(both laugh)

Alright.

So, we're gonna hope this, oh wow it's hot,

I need my flip-flops on.

Let's get a little bit of flame going there.

There you go.

Let's see if it's gonna catch.

It's goin'.

Oh it's pickin' up, oh yes.

Alright, so we're gonna let this go, do it's thing.

When the coals are white,

it's time to put our chicken on, baby.

While we're gettin' the barbecue ready

the chicken is in there marinating.

Minimum of an hour.

Ideally overnight if you like.

The coals are nice and white finally,

the chicken is marinated in the fridge chillin' out,

that is one cool chicken about to

hit a hot grill, let's do it.

Be very careful.

(chicken sizzling)

Oh, you hear that sizzle?

Cookin' away baby.

So it's been on there a couple of minutes now.

Top off with some of that marinade, folks, oh yeah.

All the nooks and crannies.

This is smellin' amazing.

Alright, let's turn that over.

Oh my gosh.

Check out the colour on that.

That is awesome, whoo.

So I baste it again and let it cook away the bottom side.

That's gonna take a little longer

'cause that's where the fattier pieces are.

But I think it's lovin' it, really.

It's like I'm brushing in suntan lotion.

Alrighty, I am over the moon with that.

I don't get to barbecue that often

'cause of the weather in England

but all we're gonna do now is turn it over,

and this is actually gettin' direct heat at the moment

'cause the coals are right underneath it,

so I'm gonna push the coals back away

and pull the chicken to the front

so it's gettin' indirect heat.

The alternative to that is shovin' it in the oven

but we're gonna make the most of our barbecue

by flippin' it over now.

It's very weird, I'm barbecuing

and just to the right of me here, you might just see it

start to move in a minute, there it goes,

it's our own little private entrance.

So we're feeling very, very safe.

Alrighty, the chicken is now turned over,

it is lookin' phenomenal, so just the

residual heat from the coals that are over there,

you can see the smoke is just gonna

warm that through.

I'm gonna give that a good 20, 25 minutes.

Just a little tip, if you are

uncertain if the chicken is cooked through,

one, make sure that the juices run clear from the chicken

and also, the part between the chicken thigh and the breast,

slice through there and if it's white cooked meat,

you're all good.

So then put it back in with your marinade,

get a similar lookin' dish or a board,

cover it up straight away, but put your chicken in it.

Ta-da, chicken.

So, we've got ourselves a nice salad to

serve along side this.

It's quite popular to have chips here with the

Piri-Piri chicken

but I am going for just a good old salad.

But there it is, boom.

Our, look it's like someone just lyin' down sunbathing.

Absolutely gorgeous, charred, cooked through, lovin' it.

Let's have a taste.

And what a lovely settin' to do that.

Whoa.

So just like when you cook other meats,

it's really good to let it rest and relax

after cooking for about 10 minutes

and that's exactly what we've done here

so it should be super tender.

We've got a lovely cooked-through meat there.

The lovely charred edges with the marinade on there.

Mmm.

And I mean, this is the perks for me, right?

Everyone now is just out by the pool, playin' pool,

playin' table tennis, playin' tennis, yeah.

That is absolutely phenomenal.

The really cool thing about that marinade as well,

that's got a little bit of heat,

so if you wanted a little less,

take some of that cayenne pepper out,

add a bit more olive oil, mix it up, personalise it,

make it your own.

But if you do try this recipe,

don't forget to send me a picture.

I'd love to see your attempts

Destiny 2 - Voidwalker Subclass Revealed! - Duration: 3:30.

Hello everyone Anarionkayto here from Anarionkayto's Gaming this.

Today I'm gonna show you segments of the the 5 minute workout we got from IGN today while

test driving the Endless Vale Crucible Map from Destiny 2 which we'll all get to play

once Beta's out next week.

Now the focus of this video is not the crucible map but the fact that we finally got a first

glimpse to the Warlock's Voidwalker subclass and I gotta say, about time because its mainly

my goto subclass when raiding with my Warlock, and when I jump into pvp once in a blue moon.

I went a little bit into the details just to show you guardians what I saw and hopefully

what you warlock fans saw as well.

Lets start with the shield option that our guardians will have when Destiny 2 comes out,

for those that don't know besides the normal grenades and melee, on Destiny 2 we will also

have a third option that resembles a shield.

For the Voidwalker it seems its shielding option, or what we've seen thusfar resembles

a lot a healing pod similar to the sunspots effects you get now when you combine Scorched

Earth and Fire Keeper on the Sungazer subclass from the Titan, except that instead of being

instant heal, it seems to build up your shield as long as you're on the marked spot.

We saw how blinks works and its lingering effect while using it.

Always good to get out of tight spots in pvp or PVE alike.

Me?

I usually end up killing myself over a ledge when I use it.

It seems they tweaked around it a bit, as the jumps seem to be less random and more

oriented, I was never really good at it but we can't really determine much from the video

because the jumps are basically simple jumps with no acrobatics during the gameplay we

saw, I think we've all seen some master blinkers at one point or another.

Now, the Voidwalker grenades that were used are the scatter grenades.

I took the liberty of going in debth with this one to show you that the the grenade

pops 7 smaller grenades upon impact, as you can see here.

Once split they all take their own paths and ultimately explode.

Here's the back and forth of the scatter grenade a bit slower you can appreciate the 7 mini

bombs doing there thing.

Hopefully we'll get some sort of exotic like the Nothing Manacles to make this babys track

bodies, or some other perk.

Who knows I mean, one can only hope right?.

It really makes me wonder how the Axion Bolts will be, or if they'll even be in Destiny

2 anyways.

Last but not least, the almighty super...

The Nova Bomb...

I can't stress how hyped I got to see this in action, because this bitch moves like a

big ass spirit bomb, except dark and awesome!

And look, it's potty trained to look for bodies, yeah, better run away from this bitch or Boom

Shakalaka.

*SIGH*

One week....

Look at it taking the corner, it even takes a corner I mean how amazing can that be look

at it go.

Seriously guys, one more week and we'll all get a personal feel of how Destiny 2 will

look like, feel like and taste like because I bet my skinny white ass you can almost taste

the sweet bitter salt comming from every scrub in the game, including me.

That's all for now, don't forget to sub and leave a like.

I do this almost every day and I do try to keep the boring stuff entertaining and mildly

amusing.

That'll be all for now, hope you have a great day cause mine's gonna suck at work.

Take care guardians.

See ya!

Putin's FULL Press Conference Following G20 Summit in Hamburg - Duration: 31:53.

Good afternoon,

Allow me to skip any statements and monologues.

You have seen and heard everything, a great deal.

Let us get straight to questions.

Go ahead, please.

Mr President, both experts and ordinary people, some of whom are rampaging near this building now, are known to have different opinions on the usefulness of G20 summits.

At this summit, for example, there was more talk about your meeting with Mr Trump. And yet which of the issues discussed by the G20 is most relevant for Russia? Thank you.

G20 is primarily an economic forum, even though many political and similar issues emerge.

Nevertheless, the main issue is the development of the global economy, and this is what received the greatest attention.

We agreed on determining global economy sustainability principles, and this is vitally important for working along the same standards.

Then we continued with the issue which in fact had been launched in St Petersburg: money laundering and everything connected with tax havens and tax evasion.

It is a crucial matter with practical implications.

Next, no less important and also connected with the economy, a related but very important issue – the fight against terror, tracking money flows to prevent the funding of terrorism.

Finally, a very big and very sensitive issue is climate change.

I think in this respect the Federal Republic of Germany chairing the G20 has managed to reach the best compromise

in a difficult situation the chairing nation has found itself in, namely due to the US quitting the Paris Climate Agreement.

An agreement was reached, a compromise, when all the countries have recorded that the United States pulled out of the agreement but

they are ready to continue cooperating in certain areas and with certain countries on addressing climate change challenges.

I think this is a positive result in itself, which can be credited to Chancellor Merkel.

There are other issues we looked into.

For example, digital economy.

Here we proposed adopting common rules in the area of digital economy, defining cyber security and designing a comprehensive system of behaviour rules in this sphere.

We said today – the President of the South African Republic spoke very convincingly about it; in fact, this issue was touched upon in practically everyone's speech

and in some way it is reflected in the final documents – that we must be ready for the release of the labour force,

we must make joint efforts, we must figure out what should be done with the workers who have lost their jobs,

how to arrange retraining, what the deadlines are and what rules should be put in place.

Among other things I drew attention to the fact that trade unions will have to be engaged because they will protect not only the workers

but also the self-employed individuals operating in the digital economy, and the number of such jobs is increasing.

This is connected in one way or another with women's rights and education for girls.

This is being discussed at many forums but we talked about it today in the context of digital economy.

Overall, this forum is definitely effective, and I believe it will play a role in stabilising the global economy in general.

Mr President, I would like to follow up on my colleague's topic.

Even though there were many political issues at the summit, they keep on surfacing at the G20 summits more and more often, yet you listed economic issues, which remain the priority anyway.

Many speakers, ministers from different countries responsible for the economy, said that 2017 could become the year of global economic growth.

How feasible is that and will this growth be seen in Russia in view of the current unfavourable trends – sanctions, restrictions and other factors?

We have not seen any unfavourable trends so far, or they have almost disappeared at any rate.

Certain factors are having a negative impact on economic development, including in the global economy, the economy in the Euro zone and in Russia, those same illegitimate restrictions you have mentioned.

We call for lifting any restrictions, for free trade, for working within the World Trade Organisation, in line the WTO rules.

By the way, one of the topics discussed here was free trade and countering protectionism.

This is also one of the crucial areas that should be mentioned.

On the whole, there is some progress.

However, the initial optimistic growth forecasts have been downgraded.

Nevertheless, there is growth, and it is apparent, including in Russia.

I said recently and repeated it here that Russian economic growth is tangible, the Russian economy, and we can say this with certainty, has recovered from the recession.

We have been growing for the third quarter in a row, and soon it will be the fourth quarter in a row.

Growth exceeded 3 percent in May: it was 3.1 percent.

I think we will have an average of 2 percent in 2017.

This is also a significant contribution to the global economic growth.

Let me remind you that we also have low unemployment of 5.2 percent, our reserves are growing, including the reserves of the Central Bank and the Government.

The Central Bank reserves have already reached $412 billion.

The federal budget revenues grew by 40 percent, and all this is happening against the background of fairly low inflation of 4.4 percent.

All this taken together certainly gives us optimism; however, one cannot say with certainty that this is a long-term trend.

We must take care to sustain this growth trend.

I have every reason to believe that we will manage to do it.

Mr President, your meeting with President Trump was literally the focus of everyone's attention at the summit.

How do you access the results of this meeting?

It is no secret that US President had voiced a rather tough rhetoric in Poland, and there had even been unfriendly statements from US media in the run-up to the summit.

Did Mr Trump ask you directly about Russia's interference in the US [presidential] election?

Did you like him personally? Do you think you will get along?

The US President asked me this question directly, and we discussed it.

And this was not a single question, there were many, and he gave much attention to this issue.

Russia's stance is well-known and I reiterated it.

There is no reason to believe that Russia interfered in the US election process.

But what is important is that we have agreed that there should not be any uncertainty in this sphere, especially in the future.

By the way, I mentioned at the latest summit session that this directly concerns cyberspace, web resources and so on.

The US President and I have agreed to establish a working group and make joint efforts to monitor security in the cyberspace,

ensure full compliance with international laws in this area, and to prevent interference in countries' internal affairs.

rimarily this concerns Russia and the United States.

We believe that if we succeed in organising this work – and I have no doubt that we will – there will be no more speculation over this matter.

As regards personal relations, I believe that they have been established.

This is how I see it: Mr Trump's television image is very different from the real person; he is a very down to earth

and direct person, and he has an absolutely adequate attitude towards the person he is talking with; he analyses things pretty fast

and answers the questions he is asked or new ones that arise in the course of the discussion.

So I think that if we build our relations in the vein of our yesterday's meeting, there are good reasons

to believe that we will be able to revive, at least partially, the level of interaction that we need.

To follow up on of your answer, could you please say if President Trump has accepted your denial of Russia's involvement, Russia's interference in the US election?

I repeat, he asked many question on this matter.

I answered all of his questions as far as I could.

I think he took note and agreed.

But it would be better if you asked him about what he thinks about it.

One more question about the domestic policy, if I may.

Actually, it is unrelated to the G20 but the question is about Russia's domestic policy.

I would like to ask what you think of Alexei Navalny and his activities.

And why you do not say his name and surname when you answer questions about him.

I think we can engage in dialogue, especially at the level of the President or the Government,

with the people who propose a constructive agenda, even if they voice criticism.

But if the point is to attract publicity, this does not encourage dialogue.

Earlier this morning you had a meeting with the French President and the German Chancellor.

I assume you had an in-depth discussion on the situation in Ukraine.

Did a new vision emerge, and is there any hope that Donbass will come out of the ordeal gripping it right now?

Can the discussion of the issue launched with the US President play its role, or do the interests of Russia and the United States still diverge in Ukraine, or may be even oppose each other in some matters?

Which, by the way, can be presumed from the background of the US diplomat who was appointed special envoy.

The interests of Russia and Ukraine, the interests of the Russian and Ukraine people – and I am fully and profoundly confident of this – coincide.

Our interests fully coincide.

The only thing that does not coincide is the interests of the current Ukrainian authorities and some of Ukraine's political circles.

If we are to be objective, of course, both Ukraine and Russia are interested in cooperating with each other, joining their competitive advantages

and developing their economies just because we have inherited much from the Soviet era – I am speaking about cooperation,

the unified infrastructure and the energy industry, transport, and so on.

But regrettably, today our Ukrainian colleagues believe this can be neglected.

They have only one "product" left – Russophobia, and they are selling it successfully.

Another thing they are selling is the policy of dividing Russia and Ukraine and pulling the two peoples and two nations apart.

Some in the West like this; they believe that Russia and Ukraine must not be allowed to get closer in any areas.

That is why the current Ukrainian authorities are making active and successful efforts to sell this "product."

But I think this will eventually come to an end.

Russia, at any rate, wants for this situation to be over as soon as possible.

As regards the United States' involvement in settling the situation in Ukraine, President Trump and I have talked about this and we agreed – and actually,

this has already been done – that a special representative of the administration would be appointed to handle this issue on a permanent basis

and to be in constant contact both with Russia and Ukraine, with all the parties interested in settling this conflict.

Mr President, I have a question about the Middle East, which is seething at the moment: Syria, Qatar and other countries.

You must have had discussions on Syria at the G20 Summit.

How do you assess the prospects for the Syrian settlement after those discussions and after the recent meeting in Astana?

Has the stance of the new US Administration on this issue changed or become more constructive, especially in view of yesterday's agreements?

And also about Qatar, if I may. How do you assess the situation? Was it discussed at the G20 Summit?

And one more question, if I may…

I will have to make a full report to you.

Well, one does not often get this chance. On the terrorism issue: as far as I know, agreeing on the Statement on Countering Terrorism was a difficult process. If it is not a secret, what were the major contradictions?

To be honest, I am not aware of the difficulties, you had better ask the Sherpa.

In my view, there were no basic objections from anyone.

Maybe some of the wording.

But, to be honest, I am not aware of that.

I know that the text was agreed on.

At any rate, at the level of delegation heads, heads of state, there were no problems or tensions.

Everyone admits that this is a common threat and everyone states their readiness to fight this threat.

As for Qatar, the problem was not discussed.

It is a fairly burning regional issue, and can impact certain processes, by the way, including in the economy, in the energy area

and in terms of security in the region, but I did not discuss this issue with anybody during the Summit.

About Syria.

Yes, we discussed this issue with almost all of my interlocutors.

As for whether the US stance has changed or not – I would say it has become more pragmatic.

It does not seem to have changed in general, but there is an understanding now that by combining efforts, we can achieve a lot.

Yesterday's deal on the southern de-escalation zone is clearly the result of this change.

You know, others may react as they like, but I can tell you, this is one of the breakthroughs we have made in our work with President Trump.

This is a real result of cooperation, including with the United States.

Jordan has joined in the effort, and so have several other countries in the region.

We have held consultations with Israel and will continue them in the near future.

Still, this is a very good result, a breakthrough of a kind.

Therefore, if we move the same way in other directions, towards other de-escalation areas…

We have discussed this very thoroughly with the President of Turkey today.

This does not entirely depend on us, of course, as much has to do with the controversy between the countries in the region.

Everyone has their own concerns, everyone has their own preferences, their own interests,

I mean legitimate interests, so this is the way we must treat these – as their legitimate interests; we need to look for compromises.

You know, sometimes we find them. In any case, the fact that active military operations have ceased, the fact that we are now discussing de-escalation zones is a huge step forward.

Now we need to agree on the exact boundaries of these zones, and how security will be ensured there.

This is a painstaking, even tedious effort, and it is extremely important and responsible work.

Based on the recent positive experience, relying on the good will of Iran, Turkey, and of course, the Syrian Government and President al-Assad, we can take further steps.

The most important thing is – we have actually reaffirmed this, also in the documents establishing this zone in the south on the border with Jordan, and the area that borders

on the Golan Heights – the most important thing is to ensure Syria's territorial integrity, eventually,

so that these de-escalation zones become the prototype of regions that could cooperate with each other and with the official Damascus.

If we manage to do this, we will lay the groundwork, create the prerequisites for resolving the entire Syrian problem by political means.

We have already talked about interfering in the elections but we have new elections coming up in Germany.

Here in Germany?

These days we say "we have elections in Germany" in September.

Is Russia planning to interfere in them? Did you notify Angela Merkel about how we are going to do it? Maybe you will give me a hunch as well?

You are asking rather provocative questions.

But I told you that we had not interfered in the United States either.

Why should we make trouble here as well?

We have very good relations with the Federal Republic.

It is our largest trade and economic partner in Europe country-wise, one of our leading trade partners in the world.

We have large joint projects on the agenda that we support, for example, Nord Stream 2.

There are a lot of tales being told about it, arguments and even resistance but it is absolutely evident that it is

in the interests of the European economy and in the interests of the German economy, which wants to abandon nuclear power.

Why would we do it?

Interfering in domestic political processes is the last thing we would wish to do.

If you look at the press, the German press or the European press in general, the French press, it is they who keep on interfering in our domestic affairs.

But we are not concerned about it because we feel confident.

Thank you very much, Mr President, for the opportunity to ask you a question on behalf of my television network.

We meant to ask you about your meeting with President Trump, but my colleague has already asked the same question.

And you said we should ask President Trump about what had happened.

No, I did not.

You should ask him about how he sees it, what he thinks about my answers.

As to what happened – nothing happened, we did not interfere.

Unfortunately, the White House offers practically no information about what is going on.

We will give them a piece of our minds.

Could you just share what President Trump said during your meeting when you told him that Russia had not interfered in the political process?

He started asking probing questions, he was really interested in some details.

I gave him fairly detailed answers as much as I could.

I told him about my dialogues with the previous administration, including with President Obama.

But I do not feel that I have the right to give details of my conversations, say, with President Obama, it is not an accepted practice at this level.

I think it would not be quite appropriate of me to give details of our conversation with President Trump.

He asked me and I answered him.

He asked probing questions, and I offered explanations.

I think he was satisfied with those answers.

Thank you very much.

You are welcome.

Going back to the issue of boosting economic growth, to the measures that could be taken, the Government has already drafted a plan, and as far as we know, you have read it but for some reason the plan is classified.

We know some parts of it from what you said about them.

Let me explain.

As you must know, we have several groups working on this issue: a group headed by Mr Titov with the involvement of the business community,

and a group headed by Mr Kudrin, who has gathered a large number of respected experts.

The Government is also working.

But we should make a plan that will be acceptable, optimal for the next steps to be taken in the economy starting in 2018.

And we must review all the proposals, assess them and in the end, make the final decision.

It may not be one of the proposals submitted; it may be something based on all three proposals.

But work is currently underway, and we do not talk about it in advance.

But the Government has certainly done a great deal in this area, and we will rely largely on the Government's proposals.

We cannot ignore the results of Mr Kudrin's work, and Mr Titov also has some sensible suggestions.

This is why we are working at present to decide what the final variant will be out of the proposals for the development of the Russian economy from 2018 onward.

That is all.

There are no secrets.

What is the point?

The point is that it is wrong to announce what has not been adopted yet.

We could just send the wrong signals to the economy, and that is it. It all comes down to that.

We could just send the wrong signals to the economy, and that is it. It all comes down to that.

I have a question about domestic policy. I have learned that you have been briefed on the [limo] car of the Cortege project, which is to be used at the 2018 presidential inauguration.

You seem to know this better than me: this is the first time I have heard about it.

Have you thought of going for a drive in this car at the official event, that is, at the inauguration?

No, I have not, because the car is not ready yet.

You can go for a drive in it yourself, I will see how it goes, and later we can test it out together.

You have spoken about the meeting with Mr Erdogan.

Could you please elaborate – when you touched upon the issue of the first zone, the northern one, did you discuss the issue of the Kurds and particularly the territory of Afrin, where representatives of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides are present?

The Turkish media are already preparing the ground for the Turkish army's intervention to this area. Also, did you discuss the future of [Syrian President] Bashar al-Assad with Mr Trump and Mr Erdogan?

For instance, Mr Tillerson said yesterday that this person has no future in the Syrian politics. He did not say how and when, but that was what he said.

Let me answer the second question first.

Mr Tillerson is a well-regarded man, he received the Russian Order of Friendship, and we feel great respect for him and we like him.

But he is not a Syrian citizen, and the future of Syria and President al-Assad as a political figure has to be determined by the Syrian people.

As regards the Kurdish issue, this is a very big and complicated problem.

We keep in contact with many Kurdish groups and make no secret of this.

But with regard to military support of their activities, here our US colleagues are far ahead of the game; they are making much greater efforts in this regard.

Our servicemen – not advisers – who are monitoring the ceasefire are indeed present in many regions of Syria, where the truce agreement has been reached.

But speaking of the regions you have mentioned, there are one or two of them there, they are not military units.

They are performing the task that everyone is interested in fulfilling.

But so far, we are not witnessing any preparations for military action; quite the opposite,

we expect that our preliminary developments on establishing the de-escalation zones in several regions – in the Idlib area, in the north – will be accomplished.

And this cannot be done without Turkey's support.

My colleagues here have already recalled the words President Trump said in Warsaw.

He made yet another statement about the United States being ready to begin direct supplies of liquefied natural gas to Poland and Central Europe.

What do you think of these plans, especially in the context of our plans for the Nord Stream?

What if gas becomes a new cause of tension in US-Russian relations?

I view these plans highly positively because healthy competition is good for everyone.

We support an open market and healthy competition.

The US President said yesterday during the discussion that the United States stands for open, fair competition.

And, by the way, when I spoke, I supported his point.

So, we are absolutely all right with this; if it is so, if there is open and fair competition, no political motives or political resources involved, it would be quite acceptable for us.

Because to date, it is an obvious fact that any specialist would tell you: the cost of production and delivery of liquefied natural gas from the United States is much higher than our LNG – even LNG –

and is not even comparable to Russian pipeline gas.

So, there is no doubt that we have an absolute competitive advantage.

But to keep it, our market participants must work hard.

They need to retain these competitive advantages.

Let us wrap this up. Go ahead, please.

After the first meeting with President Trump, do you think it would be possible to gradually pull Russian-US relations out of deep crisis they are in, or is it difficult to say anything at all yet?

I very much hope so, and it seems to me that we have built certain prerequisites for this.

Thank you very much. All the best.

The Billy Blanks Story: Finding Purpose and Passion. Following Your Passion after 50! - Duration: 9:40.

If I wouldn't have got a hold of karate I probably wouldn't be here either talking to you

I probably be in prison somewhere doing something stupid and and you know get my

black belt in Tang Soo Do it really really really changed my life

like you don't know what ....

well I like how...I know that you have the highest-selling video workout of all times

I mean that's incredible let's let's talk about how Tae Bo got started

well Tae Bo got started because I became this guy who was a martial artist

right who had became one of the top martial art people in the in the world

you know and I who would ever think that you know I grew up in the projects right

I grew up in West Third Street and whoever think I'd be this kid because I

used to say to my friend I'd say watch, one day I'll be like Bruce Lee and they used to

laugh at me, and I used say to my mom my mom would say boy go somewhere

to sit down, because back in those days the dreams like that for people in

that neighborhood that I grew up in that was like too high you're reaching for too

high you just need to get a job and that's what my mom used to tell me my

dad used to tell me, just get you a job and go to work because that stuff that you

think if you're talking about right now it's not going to come to pass

but it was a dream that I believe that God gave me he didn't give it to my mom

didn't give it to my dad he gave it to me and I believed that and I saw myself

achieve things in the goal that I was going toward so it gave me that

incentive you know when I got my black belt in Taekwondo Tang Soo Do it

made me go wow I can do a lot so one day I went to a

competition you know it was this was a competition that I didn't think that I

was prepared to win and I got also got married at a young age I married at 18

years old right and when I got married this tournament came around and she said

to me Billy you should go to that competition I said I'm not good enough

to go to that competition all these the best guys in the world will be there

right and I'm like and she says no you should go you ain't got nothin to lose

you can always come back home, it's only 100 miles away get in the truck and go

drive up there I kept saying do you really think you really think and she's

just go try it so I did, got in the truck went up there I walked in the door, oh my God

serious I mean I saw all the people that I read about in the magazines I'm like

I'm like not this dude look at this guy, Oh everybody I was all these superstars

right I used to put their pictures on my basement wall and it was like ten of

them it was Joe Lewis Chuck Norris all these great fighters no don't be if just

what competition because everybody wants to make the United States Karate team this

is the first time did they had a chance for you to make the United States Karate

team when it comes to when it comes down to it you know I fought twenty four

times that that weekend right I fought twelve times on one day and then

twelve times on the next day end up becoming the first American to ever

win a national championship you know and to me that was like that just gave me

some insight like you don't know what it opened up a door for me in my heart in

my belief it made me feel like you know if I really work hard I can do a lot ...is

that when you knew you were destined for greatness?

yes as soon as that happened because I fought the greatest fighters in the

world and I was only 18 years old I competed against guys who were 30 40

that had a big name they were sent from the top ten in martial arts it's been

around that people recognized it gave me an opportunity to say you know what I

was just from this young kid from Erie Pennsylvania in the basement .. I'm

competing against the guys that I read about magazines and I end up beating

them and I won the whole competition won a gold medal first American tonwin the

national title, it gave me the opportunity to go to California in

1975 for the first time you know so we end up flying out here to Long

Beach California and I made the United States Karate team right so I'm good I

won the national title, but when you get out here you got spent two weeks and you

had all these black belts coming from all over the country still try to make

this team and I had to go through all these black belts and work out with them

every day and then finally the coach picked the United States team and then

the I would hear him say because I was shy right I'm shy and quiet ... think that

guy's gonna do well cuz I really didn't do too much it was like I just you know

how you doing Sir and humble you know and as you said you think he's gonna do

well ...and I'd hear them say, I don't know I don't know maybe we

picked the wrong guy right ... I got so upset because

they want me to fight hard and while we in the practice but I would never fight

hard I would just kind of just go to stuff the motion of learning cause I was

learning you know I'm not up there to beat up you know my goal was my

teammates let me just go out there and just this show you know what I could do

lightly but when time of competition comes I'll flick the switch but they didn't

see that and my instructor said Billy you know they thinking about not letting

you fight in the world championship so you're gonna have to do something so I

said Tim I said I don't understand you know you tell me to be humble you tell

me to do this and I'm doing what you told me to do why would they want to do

that to me? so I got frustrated and I was in the Queen Mary right I'll never

forget it I said they make me mad so I like do a kick right put my foot

through wall up I broke my foot through a wall right I shouldn't have done that

I just got frustrated because they kept thinking I was a wimp and I wasn't going to

make it and they end up still let me fight and compete right and guess what,

I'm the only one who won, we lost but I was the only one that won a match

everybody else lost they didn't even do what the coach thought they were going

to do I went out there, soon as the referees started, I got the ring did my job got

off the ring and everybody else lost and we lost ... we got the Bronze medal

we took a bronze Medal ... well so is that when you got inspired for the

Tae Bo? No, that's when I got inspired to fight professional Tae Bo didn't come

along for a long time tae-bo came along after I've made the United States karate

team then I fought for for the United States for like five years more than won

national title, won 36 international gold medals and won three amature World

titles and then I got invited out here to a professional meet tournament and

I competed there and I ended up winning the tournament and then the guy who was

ranked number one in the world said, hey you know what you should not fight amature

anymore, fight professional I think you would be really good for professional people

to see you so I took it on I said okay I'll do that so I end up becoming the

number one fighter in the country as a professional

I fought for Budweiser for five years fought for Trans World Oil for five years and

then I retired and as I was retiring I was wondering what I was gonna do with my

career as a fighter because I just didn't want to just teach

karate so I started putting together Tae Bo and as I started putting things I

would walk around in the days now it was called the Walkman but they got all

these different things nowadays people don't even know Walkman is right so I

just put a Walkman on and I practiced punching and kicking to the music right

and one day I went down in my basement I took the theme song of Rocky put it on

the like the player stereo and put it on this you know that song comes on

everybody wants to do something, so I got up and I started punching and kicking two or

three minutes I got tired I went oh my god

I'm national champion I'm getting tired this is no good so I started taking all

these moves and I stopped putting them together and I created this little thing

for myself and then my ex-wife would say Billy I think you should show that to

women I think that would be a good way to get women involved with karate

because I always wanted to see my sister's practice karate and women do

better because where I grew up at always saw women be attacked and you'd be

abused so my goal is to help them right and if I talk to music because they like

music and like aerobics I'll put all that stuff together it would happen so I

started putting it together and start teaching my karate and students and they

started getting better at it and I would tell some of the team members I'd say hey

I got this new workout let me show you they were going on man that stuff ain't going to

work you don't know why you're doing that you know and I just kept doing it

and then one day it became this thing that rocked the world ...well I know I I

was one of the people that bought one of the what is it 200 million tapes... 120

million copies you know and when it first came out and I and I truly

believed that when Tae Bo came out people always asked did you do that to make

money ... I said no, my goal is not to make money my goal was

to learn to communicate with Billy Blanks know Billy Blanks at the time when he

grew up as a kid he was shy and then didn't know how to speak to people, didn't know,

had no confidence to do anything so my main goal was to really be a

communicator I want to talk to people show people you can help yourself through

physical fitness maybe you might not be able to read a book maybe you might not

.. but through physical fitness you can find other things in

your life that could make you be a better person and that's what Tae Bo

and that's what Taekwondo did for me it gave me an opportunity to create this

exercise ...and I always tell people think about it who would ever think I would create a

word because back in my day I couldn't even read you asked me to get

up and read I say no, but I created a word that's an acronym and it's called

Tae Bo Tae Bo total aware excellence body

obedience, who ever think I'd be that person to create that word, back in those

days you would go, no that kid ain't going anywhere ...

I hope you're enjoying the series with Billy Blanks, the story is so
