TITLING THE DAY A DAY OF ACTION IN ORDER TO RAISE AWARENESS

ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF NET NEUTRALITY AND HOW THE SEC

COULD POTENTIALLY DISMANTLE IT.

AJIT PAI, SOMEONE WE TALKED ABOUT QUITE A BIT ON THE SHOWS

SEC'S NEW CHAIRMAN AND HE WAS APPOINTED BY PRESIDENT TRUMP.

HE WAS TO SCRAP THE OPEN INTERNET PROTECTIONS

INSTALLED IN 2015 UNDER THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION.

THOSE CONSUMER PROTECTIONS MEANS PROVIDERS SUCH AS AT&T,

CHARTER, COMCAST, AND VERIZON ARE PREVENTED FROM BLOCKING

A SLOWDOWN ACCESS TO THE WEB.

A NUMBER OF THESE TECH GIANTS DECIDED TO APPROACH US IN

DIFFERENT WAYS AND AT FIRST I WANTED TO APPLAUD THEM BECAUSE I

THINK IT'S IMPORTANT FOR THEM TO GET INVOLVED THEN WHEN I DUG A

LITTLE DEEPER I REALIZE THAT IN REALITY, REDDIT IS THE ONLY ONE

THAT DID SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY GRAB PEOPLE'S ATTENTION.

LET'S GO TO THAT.

IF YOU GO TO REDDIT YOU'LL SEE THIS THING POP UP, THIS IS THE

FIRST THING YOU'LL SEE AND IT BASICALLY LETS YOU KNOW THAT IF

YOU GET RID OF NET NEUTRALITY IT IS GOING TO SLOW DOWN CERTAIN

WEBPAGES THAT YOU MIGHT VIEW OFTEN.

IT'LL BE DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO GET THE TYPE OF CONTENT

THAT YOU LIKE SO IT IS A PIXELATED LOGO THAT LOADS

IN ITS UPPER LEFT CORNER BEFORE BEGGING USERS TO UPGRADE

THEIR MONTHLY BANDWIDTH ALLOWANCE.

MEANWHILE A POP UP BLOCKS THE PAGE IT TYPES OUT AT A

FRUSTRATINGLY LOW-SPEED.

THE INTERNETS LEST FUN WHEN YOUR FAVORITE SLIDES LOAD

SLOWLY, ISN'T IT?

I LOVE THAT BECAUSE IT MAKES PEOPLE REALIZE THE

IMPORTANCE OF NET NEUTRALITY IF THEY DIDN'T REALLY SUPPORT THE

THINK ABOUT IT, PEOPLE I READ IT ARE LESS LIKELY DOES STICK

AROUND BECAUSE THEY ARE ANNOYED BY THE SLOW TYPING MESSAGE AND A

LOT OF THEM WANT TO GET THE MESSAGE, BUT REDDIT USERS, WELL

THERE ARE A LOT OF ADJECTIVES FOR THEM BUT THEY ARE CERTAINLY

MORE SOPHISTICATED WHEN IT COMES TO THE INTERNET SO AT LEAST

MOST OF THEM WILL UNDERSTAND IT.

THEY ARE NOT THE AVERAGE INTERNET USER BUT STILL, THEY

ARE RISKING REVENUE FOR THAT DAY, THEY ARE RISKING SOME SORT

OF PEOPLE LEAVING THAT DAY, ETC. AND THEY ARE DOING IT FOR THE

RIGHT CAUSE SO ALL THE CREDIT IN THE WORLD TO REDDIT THERE.

AND USUALLY, THAT IS THE EPICENTER FOR THE FIGHT

BACK AGAINST RULES LIKE THIS.

IT IS.

ALEXIS OHANIAN WHO IS A COFOUNDER OF REDDIT HAS BEEN

FIGHTING VERY VOCAL TRYING TO FIGHT AGAINST NET

NEUTRALITY AND IN FACT THE LAST BATTLE, HE WAS PROBABLY THE

MOST VOCAL MEMBER IN THE TECH WORLD AND I LOVE HIM FOR IT.

THAT IS A RARE PLACE, I'M DOING, I'M NOT HUNDRED PERCENT

POSITIVE WITH THE RIGHT WING ON REDDIT THINK ABOUT THIS BUT THE

LAST I HEARD LEFT RING IN THE RIGHT WING AGROUND THIS ISSUE.

OF COURSE BECAUSE IT AFFECTS EVERYBODY NEGATIVELY

REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOUR POLITICAL IDEOLOGY IS.

NOW I AM GOING TO KIND OF BE CRITICAL OF OTHER TECH

GIANTS BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE THEY DIDN'T DO ENOUGH.

LET'S START WITH GOOGLE.

GOOGLE HAS A BLOG POST UP, STATING THE NET NEUTRALITY

RULES THAT PROTECT THE OPEN INTERNET ARE IN DANGER OF

BEING DISMANTLED.

IT IS A BLOG POST.

YOU'LL SEE ANYTHING IF YOU GO TO THE HOMEPAGE.

THEY HAVE THE GOOGLE DOODLE, THEY HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING WITH

THAT AND I JUST WANT TO ASK, MAYBE I AM COMPLETELY UNAWARE

AND THE GOOGLE BLOG POSTS ARE TEARING IT UP, THEY GO VIRAL

AND EVERYONE CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT GOOGLE BLOG POST, BUT I

AM UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT NO ONE READS GOOGLE BLOG POSTS AND

LIST THEIR LOOKING FOR SOMETHING INVOLVING TROUBLESHOOTING.

YEAH, I'M OF TWO MINDS ON THIS IT.

1ST OF ALL I THINK THAT THEY ARE DOING ANYTHING IS GREAT

BECAUSE NO, NO ONE IS GOING TO INDEPENDENTLY GO TO A

GOOGLE BLOG POST BUT IT WILL GET INCLUDED IN THE PRESS ARTICLES.

IT WILL AND I THINK THAT'S THE REASON WHY THEY DID IT.

THEY CAN TAKE CREDIT FOR IT, BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, ELISA

NAME IS IN THERE AS GOOGLE IS FIGHTING FOR NET NEUTRALITY AND

THAT HAS SOME EFFECT SO THAT IS NOT SUCH A BAD THING FOR PEOPLE

WHO ARE EITHER NEUTRAL NATION CAN BE SWAYED BUT MUCH MORE

IMPORTANTLY, FOR POLITICIANS THAT GOOGLE HAS SOME SWAY

OVER BECAUSE OF POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS.

WE WILL GET TO THAT ANGLE AND A 2ND.

ALSO, VIDEOGAME STREAMING SITES WHICH HAS A BANNER

ANNOUNCEMENT ON ITS CHANNEL PAGE WHILE ALSO REPLACING ITS

GLOBAL MODES WITH A SPINNING WELL FOR 24 HOURS.

THAT IS GOOD.

ITíS NOT BAD.

LOOK, WE CAN NITPICK ALL THESE BUT I

WILL TICKED WHICH, THAT IS NOT BAD.

I AM WITH YOU, OF COURSE I WISH THE GOOGLE I PUT IT ON THE

MAIN PAGE.

APPLE IS NOT DOING ANYTHING, SO FAR BY THE WAY.

I DIDN'T SEE FACEBOOK ON THE LIST.

I KNOW FACEBOOK HAS BEEN ON THE LIST FOR BEING FOR NET

NEUTRALITY SO THAT IS GREAT, I DIDN'T SEE THEM DOING ANYTHING

ON THIS PARTICULAR DAY BUT LOOK, FURTHER CONTEXT, LAST TIME

THERE WAS A FIGHT ON THIS ISSUE BACK IN 2015

AND OBAMA WAS IN CHARGE AND 4 MILLION PEOPLE SENT IN

LETTERS SAYING PLEASE KEEP NET NEUTRALITY.

PART OF THE REASON THEY DID IT, IT ARE ALREADY HAD A

ENORMOUS ORGANIC GROWTH BUT ONE DAY THE TECH COMPANIES GOT

TOGETHER AND THEY ALL PUT A STATEMENT ON THEIR SITE SAYING

HEY, FIGHT ON THIS ISSUE AND IT WORKED AND IT WAS WONDERFUL.

IT WAS BIGGER THAN TODAY.

BUT THAT DIDN'T SWAY OBAMA.

THE CONVENTIONAL WISDOM IS IT SWAYED OBAMA.

IT DIDN'T.

HE DIDN'T ACT AFTER THE FORMERLY IN LETTERS.

HE ONLY ACTED AFTER GOOGLE AND FACEBOOK AND A COUPLE OTHER

LARGE TECH COMPANIES SAID, FINALLY CAME OUT AND OPENLY

DECLARED YES, WE'RE FOR NET NEUTRALITY.

THE REASON GOOGLE AND FACEBOOK ARE UNDERSTANDABLY ON THE

FENCE OF YOU LOOK AT IT JUST FROM THEIR BUSINESS POINT

OF VIEW IS YES, THEY WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE INTERNET SERVICE

PROVIDERS MORE MONEY SO THEY WOULD HAVE TO PAY A RANSOM

TO COMCAST VERIZON AT&T, ETC.

BUT THEY ARE SO BIG THEY CAN AFFORD AND IT WOULD KNOCK

OUT ALL OF THE LITTLE GUYS.

ALL THE COMPETITION.

ACTUALLY THAT'S WHILE REALLY REALLY WANT TO GIVE CREDIT

TO GOOGLE AND FACEBOOK AND THEY ARE PARTNERS TWOS I WANT TO

DISCLOSE THAT, BUT I WANT TO GIVE THEM HUGE CREDIT FOR

FIGHTING ON THIS ISSUE BECAUSE WE WOULDN'T HAVE EVEN ONE IN

2015 IF THEY DIDN'T PUT THEIR POLITICAL CONTRIBUTION AT

LEAST IMPLIED THREATS BEHIND THAT.

I APPLAUD THEM FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IN THE PAST, BUT IT IS

A WHOLE NEW BATTLE AND WE HAVE TO FIGHT EVEN HARDER THIS TIME

AROUND WITH AJIT PAI AND DONALD TRUMP.

I AM BEING UNFAIR BECAUSE THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.

THERE'S STILL TIME FOR THEM TO DO SOMETHING.

MAYBE IN THE NEAR FUTURE THEY WILL DO SOMETHING MORE

AGGRESSIVE AND IT WILL HAVE ACTUAL RESULTS BUT I AM JUST

SPEAKING ABOUT TODAY, I FEEL LIKE THEY COULD'VE DONE MORE.

I HEAR YOU ON THAT, BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS

THAT WE DO WHEN WE DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER FOR YOU.

WHEN YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT PUBLIC COMMENTS, THIS TIME

AROUND THERE'S ALREADY BEEN 5.1 MILLION COMMENTS/LETTERS SENT

INTO THE FCC, SO IT'S NOT LIKE THEY DON'T KNOW WHICH SIDE

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE ON.

THEY KNOW IN THE POLLING SHOWS OVERWHELMINGLY THAT PEOPLE ONE

AT NEUTRALITY SO THE QUESTION IS, AJIT PAI IS IN MY

OPINION CLEARLY SYSTEMICALLY CORRUPTED.

HE WAS A VERIZON LAWYER WHO WAS BROUGHT INTO THE FCC TO

REPRESENT COMPANIES LIKE VERIZON HE WAS JUST WAITING THERE.

HE WAS IN THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION BUT

NONPOWERED TRUNK IT'S IN IN IS LIKE WHO CAN I SERVICE?

TRUNK IS GREAT, NOW GET MY DONORS EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT

WHICH IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND THE

QUESTION IS, ARE GOOGLE AND FACEBOOK AND ALL OF THOSE GUYS

GOING TO MOUNT UP AND FIGHT AGAIN WHEN IT COMES TO THE

LOBBYIST LEVEL BECAUSE IF THEY ENGAGE IN THAT FIGHT, WE

CAN WIN AGAIN BUT IF THEY EVEN STAY NEUTRAL, WE ARE DONE

Different types of Forces( Part-3): Calculate Normal force on inclines, IIT-JEE physics classes - Duration: 6:35.

Hello friends, in this video we will discuss how to calculate normal force on inclined

surfaces. in the last video we have discussed how to calculate normal force on flat surfaces

and in elevator.. so please do watch previous videos to go in detail.

so inclined surface is the surface which is not flat and make some angle theta with the

horizontal, like this blue surface is the flat surface.

it's completely horizontal but this yellow surface is an inclined surface because it's

making some angle theta with the horizontal. this angle theta can have any value like 30

degree, 45 degree or 60 degree.

as the angle increases, inclination of the surface would increase as well.

suppose this is the box which is kept on this inclined surface.

so you know normal force always act perpendicular to the surface.

so here on the flat surface, normal force acts at 90 degree from the surface..

90° means perpendicular to the surface.

the same way this is the inclined surface so this surface will apply normal force on

this box at the 90 degree or the perpendicular to the surface.

so basically if an object or box is kept on an incline surface, there are two forces acting.

first force is applied by this inclined surface which is the normal force and the second force

is applied by this box.

you know box has the weight so its weight or force of gravity would act exactly downward.

on the inclined surfaces we have little different coordinate system.

you know on the flat surface we take x axis parallel to the flat surface like this...this

would be x - axis or horizontal..

And perpendicular to the flat surface would be the y axis.

We use same technique for the inclined surface.

So parallel to the inclined surface would be the x axis and perpendicular or at 90°

would be the y axis. so you can see, normal force is exactly along the y-axis, so it is

the vertical force.

while the force of gravity is neither along the x-axis nor along the y-axis.

that means it's neither the horizontal force nor the vertical force.

First of all we need to break this force of gravity into X and Y components.

for that we need to find the angle of force of gravity from the x-axis. suppose this angle

is 'phi'. you know the angle of inclined surface is theta.

so we can draw this triangle like this.

this is our Fg and it is inclined surface and this one is theta. we have to find phi.

this angle is the 90 degree.

so phi would be 90 - theta.

so X component of force of gravity would be.. we can write it Fgx.

so the X component of Fg would be Fg* sin theta.

the same way, the formula of Y component is Fg* sin phi .

we have already learnt these formulas for X and Y components in vector series.

so please watch all videos of vectors to understand these formulas.

we can break Fg in the figure also.

X component of Fg is mg sin theta and the Y component is mg cos theta.

you can memorize these 2 things because this whole calculation is true for all problems

on inclined surfaces.

so now we can make the force equation for vertical forces only.

there are two vertical forces.

first is a Fn and second is Fg cos theta.

addition of vertical forces = 0.

box is not moving upward or downward.

it not moving perpendicular to the incline surface.

so the vertical acceleration, ay is zero . so m*0=0,

So net vertical force = 0 and net Vertical force would be addition of these two vertical

forces.

as Fn is upward along the positive y-axis, so it's positive.

while Fg*cos theta is downward along the negative y axis, so its negative.

so Fn= Fg* cos theta.

you know fg or force of gravity = m*g. we can plug in this value here.

so this is the formula of normal force on inclined surfaces.

this formula is true for all incline surfaces when friction force is negligible.

we will discuss fiction force in the next videos.
