Waching daily Jul 14 2017

If there's one thing I've learned over the last ten years

Stay in front of the competition because there's two ways in this industry. You move with it, or it moves you

And I've seen so many sad stories across the decade where chefs have just got lazy

Got lazy given up and lost that hunger to be competitive

Never ever ever give up

I think that's the kiss of death is if you're convinced that you're going to fail or fall or get hurt

that will come to fruition because that's what you're visualizing. I never vision

You know I was willing to get hurt along the way, but I didn't visualize myself getting hurt along the way

And I think that's what stops a lot of people, and that's really what separates a lot of people from being

World Champions or from being as good as they can because they stop at some point saying oh, no, I?

I am not capable of this or I'll probably get hurt doing this and if you approach anything with that hesitation

You're going to fail. I always approached it like

This is going to work. I'm going to figure this out, even if it takes me

hundreds of attempts

The difference between successful people and not successful people, are people give up. People wake up every morning

They have doubt, they have fear, they lose in a Ferrari race or they lose in a race, and then they just give up

The hardest thing in life to learn is to lose. Winning's easy.

You win, you're happy, you get a high five your friends are happy

It's your ability to take a loss, get up the next day, dust yourself off and keep going

I have lost at everything you can imagine. Seriously, I have been beat up and put down and

Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong for me, but I just kept going

Well, I think there is no substitute for hard work. None. Zero. I was in India

I talked to 200

newly hired individuals, and this is I can say this because

I'm of Indian heritage

They're always asking when I go to India, so tell us the one or two shortcuts to get to your point

And I always say there are no shortcuts

You've got to put in the time and so I think the first takeaway is there are absolutely no shortcuts

It takes time, and it takes a lot of hard work

I am beast mode. But it don't mean beast mode without fear. It don't mean beast mode without a little anxiety

It don't mean beast mode and I'm just 120% sure, no, I have to live my faith too

And I made up in my mind. ET, you've got to go after it

look

I finished my coursework it took me two years, why? Because it took me two years to get over the fear. It took me

Two years to get over the anxiety, it took me two years to finally say Goliath here

I come. The lion you might be taller than me you might be bigger than me you might be stronger than me

But I'm coming and I'd rather die trying. I'd rather die going after this dissertation

I'd rather give everything I got, I'd rather give a year. I'd rather put in work

Success is not doing the right thing and it definitely isn't doing the right thing the first time

Success is having the courage to move in the direction of your dreams, move in a direction that your heart is taking you

That is what success is as you are progressively

realizing that thing

People think success is, I've got a plan and I go and work out that plan. It never ever ever ever ever works that way

Success is the progressive realisation of a worthy goal

But progressive realization means that you're doing things that you don't know how to do. You're stepping out in faith

You're being courageous

Your self-doubt will step out of the way

And the power will be added to you

Focus. Focus is super underrated. Like if you commit all that you are and all of your energy to one thing

you'll...

All right, you can do ten things to the first degree like this right here

And that's how well you'll do all ten things. Or you can do one thing

To the tenth degree right there and look how much better you do that

So when it comes to focus to put all of your energy into one thing is to do that one thing

Really well, to the best of your abilities to take it all the way, and to scatter yourself means you're never actually

Accomplishing anything. You're just sort of chipping away at a bunch of nothingness, and this is true for work. This is true for like

Dating versus committing yourself to one person

friendship, everything

If you want to make your dream become reality

The people that are running at their dreams know, that it's possible that you can live your dream

That it's necessary that you're relentless that you have a plan of action that you are creative

The people that are living their dream are finding winners to attach themselves to. The people that are living their dreams

Are the people that know that if it's going to happen, it's up to them and they're revolving within themselves

It's not over until I win

The people that are running after that dream know they're going to have hard times, they keep on running because they're saying within themselves

I'm the one. I'm the one no matter how bad it is or how bad it gets

I'm going to make it. The people that are running after their dreams are the people that are hungry

Most people have done all that they're ever going to do. They raise a family, they earn a living and then they die

but people were running towards their dreams, life has a special kind of meaning

And here's what I will share with you

That in the process of working on your dreams

You are going to incur a lot of disappointment, a lot of failure, a lot of pain

a lot of setbacks, a lot of defeats

but in the process of doing that

You will discover some things about yourself that you don't know right now. What you will realize is

That you have greatness within you

What you'll realize is that you're more powerful than you can ever begin to imagine

you

CAN, COULD and BE ABLE TO - Part One - Duration: 6:49.

Are you ready for some English grammar?

I hope so!

We've had a lot of requests for a video about these three verbs.

There's a lot to cover so we're going to split this video into two parts.

And we'll show you, step by step, how to use them in English.

We're going to look at how we use these three words to talk about ability.

We also use 'can' and 'could' to make requests and ask for permission.

We have another video about that and I'll put a link here.

But this is about ability and possibility.

Let's start with the most common verb: 'can'.

We use it to talk about things we're able to do because of knowledge or skills that

we have Si, digame, cuando?

Muy bien.

She can speak Spanish What are you doing?

I'm trying to whistle.

Oh I can do that.

It's not just people that can do things.

Things can too.

Our old coffee maker was very small so we bought a new one.

This machine can make six big cups.

So we use 'can' to say what's possible.

Can you fix it?

I'm not sure, but it might be possible.

Great.

The negative form of can is 'can't' and we use it to say things are impossible.

I can't whistle.

Digame, cuando?

I can't speak Spanish.

I can't fix it.

You've probably seen the word 'cannot', where can and not are written as one word.

It's a formal word and you're more like to see it in written English.

We don't usually say it.

We say 'can't'.

'Can' is a modal verb.

We use it with the base form of other verbs – so the infinitive form, but without to.

There's no 's' on the third person.

We don't use 'do' to make questions.

We change the word order instead.

And we add 'not' to make the negative.

So 'can' is a special verb.

It doesn't have an infinitive form.

It doesn't have an -ing form.

And it doesn't have a perfect form.

They just don't exist.

When we want to use these forms, we use a different phrase – be able to.

It means the same thing as can.

So let's look at these examples again.

'Can' and 'be able to' are both possible here and they mean the same thing.

'Be able to' is more formal and when we're talking about knowing how to do something

like this, we generally say 'can'.

But there are some situations where it's not grammatically possible.

Let's look at some.

I can whistle.

I'd like to be able to whistle.

Notice Jay says 'be able to' here.

He doesn't say 'can' because we don't use infinitive forms with can.

Another example.

Mmm.

I love being able to have three cups of coffee in the morning.

Yeah, we've been able to make six big cups.

After 'I love' we need an -ing form.

But can has no -ing form so we say 'being able to'.

And can has no perfect form either so we say 'been able to'.

So when should you use 'can' and when should you use 'be able to'?

Well, normally you should use 'can'.

It's what we generally say.

But sometimes it's not grammatically possible.

When that happens, use 'be able to'.

Now we had a question from a viewer.

Bionexusgold said they always have a problem when they want to say 'can' for situations

that happened in the past.

Well yes, it's tricky, Bionexus.

We can't say 'canned', but perhaps you can guess what we say now.

We say 'was able to'.

This mouse is a problem.

I've ordered you a new one from Amazon.

Oh, thank you.

How much do I owe you?

Nothing.

I was able to log in with your password.

So 'was able to' is like the past tense of 'can'.

When you want to use 'can' to talk about a past situation, use 'was' or 'were able to'.

Were you able to fix it?

No sorry, I couldn't.

Oh well.

Thanks for trying.

Notice Jay's answer here.

Could is another modal verb that we use to talk about past ability.

And the rules are a bit special.

So we're going to look at them in part two.

Come back next week and all will be explained.

Bye for now.

If you would like to help support Crack Your Bible without spending a dime, this

is NOT like "please, go to my Patreon." I don't have a Patreon. I need your

help because I only speak English fluently.

(Music Plays)

Hey it's Rachel!

Today on Crack Your Bible, I want to let you guys know how much I appreciate

everybody who's been subscribing. It was just the last week of January when I

started this channel and now, while in comparison to regular YouTube

channels where they have thousands and thousands of subscribers, I try to keep

things in mind of, "if I started a church in January, if I had 200+ people,

would that be amazing?" Yes! It is amazing, so I am so happy with how this

channel has been growing. And I just wanted to say "thank you" to all of you

who subscribe. But I also want to let you guys know what is happening with this

channel, because if you're not aware, I also do social media for Crack Your

Bible. Now if you follow me on Instagram, or Twitter, or Pinterest, or Medium or my

own website, you'll know that I do post different things for those sites. For

Instagram on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, I have special posts. We have the

"verse of the week." We have "Tuesday truth." We have "word to the wise" and then we

also have "Flirty Fridays." On Twitter, we also post everything that goes on Instagram

over to Twitter as far as those four days. But I also will post links to

articles and things that I find interesting that deal with religion. Now

on Instagram, that's usually where I also do my updates about a video, if like a

videos running late or I found out something crazy on the news, I will do a

short little video post about that. Now also, if you follow me on those sites you

will know that I'm starting to do special links where

you can watch a video a day earlier than it posts. So what I do is I just

make it an unlisted video when I upload it. I will put the link on my social

media for you to watch it. that way you can watch it before it ever airs and

then the next day is when it will actually go live for everybody else. So

if you follow me on social media, you'll actually sometimes get links for videos

a day early. Now I have had a website for years and I didn't really use it

because it was something that we were forced to create in college for one of

my classes - so that's why I have that website. But this past week, I got a

notification from Google telling me "hey you have a lot of photos on your account

that are up text. Would you like to archive those?" So I was looking through

them and I noticed that what they were screenshots of really long comments

that I've made on YouTube or other channels dealing with religion that I

wanted to save for myself, because they took a lot of time and effort. So I

thought, "why don't I just start transferring what I wrote on to my

website and then link it to one of my videos." Because I'm sure that if you're a

new subscriber, you haven't necessarily seen my older videos. The quality isn't

as good, but whatever, such is life. But I wanted to start reintroducing those

topics and then also giving more information that is not in the video. So

I'm going to, over time, start posting more on my website. I'm not going to have

like a schedule like I do on this channel where I post Monday, Wednesday and

Friday. Or on Instagram, for sure. like without a doubt, we have posts Monday,

Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. But I wanted you guys to know that there is a lot

more information out there than I am creating for Crack Your Bible and it's

not all concentrated to YouTube. So if you want to check it out, you can. But

here is the big thing - if you would like to help support Crack Your Bible without

spending a dime; this is NOT like "please go to my Patreon." I don't have a Patreon.

We're not at that point yet, like we're just not there. So if you have people

that you like, go support them financially, whatever. But this is where

I'm at right now in Crack Your Bible. I NEED YOUR HELP

because I only speak English fluently. But from my analytics, I can see that

there are a lot of you out there that are from outside of the United States.

And if you're outside of the United States, I bet you speak more than one

language. So in every single video description, you're going to see a link

for translating the subtitles of my videos. Now if you go look at my videos,

you'll see every single video (I painstakingly did this) has a little "CC"

next to it. So I've actually transcribed every single one of my videos so that

people can watch my videos in closed captions, and those only go out really

to English-speaking viewers. But we want to share the gospel with everybody, and

unfortunately not everybody has access to the gospel. So one plants,

(1 Corinthians 3:5-8 on screen) another

waters, but it's the Holy Spirit that brings the increase so I am asking you

to be the one that waters for Crack Your Bible. Now I am going to post a link on

how you can actually transcribe my subtitles. You can also transcribe the

description, You can transcribe the title into whatever language that you speak,

and that way it will show up in other search boxes in other videos, for people

who don't speak English. Now when I first started, I was actually going in and

sitting there, and transcribing it by hand. And then I realized that Google

will do an auto transcribe, and then you just have to go in there and fix it up

in English. So I've done that for all of my videos where we are up to 75, 76

videos, that I've done this for. It is a lot of work, but because I've already

done the brunt work, all the English is done, Google will auto translate it into

whatever language that you speak. And then, all you have to do is go through

and proofread Google's translations to make sure they're correct. Now sometimes

it gets words wrong that I'm saying, sometimes I speak very fast, so Google

will translate it incorrectly. Because I am an American, I do use quite a bit of

slang and idioms in my videos, so those would need to be translated correctly.

You can always use urbandictionary.com to see what I'm actually saying, if

something sounds confusing. But I would really love and appreciate your support

in spreading the gospel, because if maybe you're not sure how to go out and spread

the gospel, this is one way that you can do it. And Google automatically will

credit you in every description box, that you were the one that provided the

translation services for this video or that video. So I'm willing to leave it up

to you. You can translate whatever videos that you want. You don't even have to do

the whole video, but because we are smaller, it would be really great if you

did because there's not necessarily going to be somebody else that speaks

that language right now, for now, because we're still very, very tiny. So I will

include a link up here and down below in the description box. And again, there is

always a link in every single video to do transcription services for Crack Your

Bible, because it is up to all of us to go into all the world and preach the

gospel, and this is one way that you can go out into all the world and help

preach the gospel. So it's not going to cost you any money, but again, I would

really appreciate it. And just know that in the Kingdom of Heaven, when God says

"what did you do with the talents that I gave you?" Well, you can say

that, "I helped share the gospel with the tools that You gave me." Christianity is like

a pyramid scheme, because if you have any part in spreading the

gospel, you get credit for everybody who was saved because of the one little

thing that you did. So if you share the gospel with one person, and that person

shares the gospel with a thousand people, you, in the Kingdom of God, get credit for

that one person and the other thousand too. So again, I would really appreciate

it if you would help me share the gospel by translating my videos, and my captions,

and my descriptions, into whatever language you speak. Your choice, I am fine

with it. And as always, I would love if you would like, subscribe, and share. Make

sure to hit that button so you get notifications, and I will see you later!

Bye!

We have made some very public mistakes.

We need to win their trust back.

Focus up. I'm sorry. Did I just mishear you...

- or did you agree with me? - I want to take it back now.

No, you can't retract it.

Thank you. Unprecedented.

Okay. Case closed. I win.

I have to go.

And now, I would like to invite Sharon Carter

to come up and say a few words.

Margaret Carter was known to most as a founder of S.H.I.E.L.D.

but I just knew her as Aunt Peggy.

She had a photograph in her office.

Aunt Peggy standing next to JFK.

As a kid, that was pretty cool.

But it was a lot to live up to.

Which is why I never told anyone we were related.

I asked her once how she managed

to master diplomacy and espionage...

in a time when no one wanted to see a woman succeed at either.

She said, compromise where you can.

But where you can't, don't.

Even if everyone is telling you that something wrong is something right.

Even if the whole world is telling you to move...

it is your duty to plant yourself like a tree...

look them in the eye and say "No, you move."

When I came out of the ice,

I thought everyone I had known was gone.

Then I found out she was alive.

I was just lucky to have her.

She had you back, too.

Who else signed?

Tony, Rhodey, Vision.

Clint?

Says he's retired.

- Wanda? - TBD.

I'm off to Vienna for the signing of the Accords.

There's plenty of room on the jet.

Just because it's the path of least resistance...

doesn't mean it's the wrong path.

Staying together is more important than how we stay together.

What are we giving up to do it?

I'm sorry, Nat.

I can't sign it.

I know.

Then what are you doing here?

I didn't want you to be alone.

Come here.(CoolestClips4K)

Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) Tutorial - Part 2 - Duration: 13:51.

Hi, my name's Taylor and I'm going to walk you through some advanced ERD concepts.

We'll be going over Primary Keys, Foreign Keys, Bridge Tables, and then really understanding

how ER diagrams help you see exactly what's going on in your database.

Okay so let's start where we left off--- with our very simple diagram from the previous

tutorial.

So we've got entities for Customer, Order, and Product and the correct cardinality between.

You'll notice that next to each attribute is the word "key."

This column is here so we can distinguish certain attributes as either Primary Keys

or Foreign Keys.

Let's start with Primary Keys.

This is probably easiest to understand if we step out of the diagram and into the table

it represents.

Remember, each entity in your diagram represents a table within your database.

So let's look at the Customer entity as a table with rows and columns.

We've got all these different instances of the customer here.

And if you're Amazon or something, you've got millions of customers all within this

table.

That's a ton of customers.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could use a single trigger to quickly and accurately distinguish

who's who in this massive list?

That's where a Primary Key come in.

A Primary Key is an attribute (or field) that uniquely identifies every record in a certain

table.

And since a single attribute can accomplish all that, it makes sense that you'll need

just one Primary Key per entity.

So for this customer table, the primary key is going to be a value that makes it so that

this customer is unlike any other customer in our table.

For one of these attributes to qualify, there are a few rules.

First, a Primary Key has to be unique, so that it identifies only one record in your

table.

Second, it needs to be never-changing.

It'd be pretty difficult to keep an accurate record of your customers if you're using

an attribute that might not stay consistent.

And finally, a Primary Key needs to be never-null.

That just means there wouldn't be an occasion where the value could be left blank.

So let's look at a specific customer, like John here, and determine what data might uniquely

identify him.

Well, you can't rely on names, because two totally different customers could very easily

share the same first and last name.

There's a John Smith here and a John Smith here...but they're two completely different

customers.

You can't even rely on an address because you could have two separate customers living

at the same place.

Or a customer could move and then their address changes.

So an address isn't unique and breaks the rule of "never-changing."

Same thing for a phone number.

So that leaves us with customer ID.

By design, any sort of ID is typically programmed to increment for each addition to the table.

This customer signs up and is assigned Customer ID 30016.

Then this customer signs up and is assigned Customer ID 30017, and so on.

You can see how Customer ID passes all our rules: unique, never-changing, and never-null.

John's Customer ID will completely identify him as a particular instance in our database,

and that value won't ever be repeated in this table.

So we're going to make that our Primary Key.

Here's something interesting to think about while we're on this topic.

Have you ever created a username for an account, and then later wanted to change your username

to something else because it was hard to remember or stupid or something...but then you can't

because the site won't let you?

Well that's probably because your username is being used as the primary key in that site's

database.

And a primary key can never change.

That's how the site is linking you, the customer, to your account.

They don't let you change that primary key because their system relies on it for accurate

records.

Or how about when you're setting up a new account and you try to create a username but

get an error message saying that it's already taken.

Again, this could be happening because the username is being used as the primary key,

and a primary key can't be repeated.

In our example though, we're just using a randomly assigned Customer ID number as

our Primary key.

We know this will always be unique and never repeated.

So let's jump back to our diagram and note this by putting PK next to Customer ID.

And I'll go ahead and quickly clear out all this other text to make things clearer.

Now let's apply those same rules to find Primary Key for our other entities.

Let's quickly jump into the Order table that this Order entity represents, and zero

in on a specific instance.

Here it looks like our customer, John, placed an order to go to this address and it shipped

at this time.

Looking at the data, what could be our primary key?

We already know names and addresses are no good, and ship date isn't going to work

either.

Two orders could be shipped at the exact same time, so that's not a unique attribute.

It's pretty clear that Order Number is the primary key.

So we put PK next to that attribute in our diagram.

And finally we can look at the table that this Product entity represents.

Let's say our customer, John, purchased this product here.

A beautiful snuggie.

You know by now that Product ID is going to be the Primary Key in this table.

So we note that in our diagram, too.

Each of these Primary Keys is unique, never changing, and never-null.

So you probably noticed that I'm using diagramming software to modify this ERD, but just know

that the same concepts apply if you're drawing these out with pen and paper.

That said, if you want to make it easier on yourself, you can sign up for the diagramming

software that I'm using...for free actually.

It's called Lucidchart, and all you have to do is pause the video, click the card in

the top-right corner here, and sign up for a free account.

All it takes is an email address and you can follow along with me.

Alright, now that we have our Primary keys set, let's talk about Foreign keys.

A Foreign Key is just a Primary Key, but in a foreign place.

Maybe you have a primary key in one entity, but it'd be really helpful to pull that

data into another entity.

That's where you get a foreign key.

And we want to make note of these Foreign Keys so we can better understand how our entities

relate to one another.

Let's see how this plays out in our diagram.

We've already established Customer ID as the primary key for the Customer Entity.

But that same attribute is also over here in the Order entity.

Why?

Because for each order we record, we want to know exactly which customer placed that

order.

The Order Entity is simply referencing the Customer ID from the Customer Entity.

That makes it a Foreign Key here, so we'll mark it as such.

And we can further show this relationship in our diagram by adjusting this relationship

to line up with the Primary and Foreign Keys.

Just move those crows feet to line up with the PK and FK attributes.

It reinforces the fact that this Foreign Key in the Order Entity is referencing the primary

key of the Customer Entity.

Let's review how this Foreign Key works by looking at it in the Order table.

So here are all our orders.

If we look at a specific order, it has a Customer ID of 30016.

This is a foreign key because it references the primary key in the Customer table.

Now we know exactly which customer we're dealing with when we look at this specific

order.

So John made this order here, but look farther down.

The same Customer ID is repeated because John placed another order.

Unlike a Primary Key, Foreign Keys don't have to be unique.

They can be repeated in a table.

If John's an avid shopper, his Customer ID is going to be repeated a lot.

Another difference between Primary and Foreign Keys, is that there can be multiple Foreign

Keys in one entity.

Let's say for each order, we also want to know what product is being sold.

We'd add Product ID to our table.

And this is what it would look like in our diagram.

We just add another field, type in Product ID, and since Product ID is a primary key

over here, that makes it a foreign key in this entity.

Now we have two foreign keys in our Order Table.

There's also something called a Composite Primary Key.

A Composite Primary Key is used when two or more attributes are needed to uniquely identify

every record in a table.

So let's say we created a Shipment entity, and it's got these attributes here.

And then let's take a look at what the corresponding table might look like in order to explain

this better.

Let's say John ordered a regular snuggie and then a zebra-pattern snuggie.

It's all one order, but they're getting sent in two different shipments.

When we look at these two rows and each of these attributes, we wouldn't be able to

rely on any single one to give us a unique record.

The product number is duplicated when someone else buys that same zebra-pattern snuggie.

So it's not a unique record in this table.

An order could be parsed into a couple different shipments, like John's was.

So order number is also not unique.

Charge Card time would be duplicated if someone else pays for their shipment at the exact

same time.

And same for packing time and ship date.

All not unique.

So it doesn't look like any of these attributes will give us the primary key we're looking

for.

But what if we took two of these attributes, and combined them to create a new, unique

value?

Like Product ID and Order number.

Take those two values for any instance, combine them together, and you've got a value that

won't be repeated.

That's a Composite Primary Key.

Now the Primary Key for this shipment is different than the Primary Key for this shipment.

You could technically call this a Compound Key because we're using two foreign keys,

but usually people just say Composite Key as an umbrella term.

Anyway, jumping back over to our diagram, you note a composite primary key with multiple

PK marks.

That doesn't mean there are two Primary Keys.

It means that both of these attributes are needed to create a Composite Primary Key.

A couple rules here when making these.

One, use the fewest number of attributes as possible.

Two, don't use attributes that are apt to change because that can make things messy.

And you might ask yourself, why not just create a Shipping ID attribute so we don't have

to deal with this scenario.

Well you certainly could.

That's totally valid.

And it's actually quite a debate amongst some people if you should even bother with

composite primary keys.

But it all depends on the database you're creating and if there are certain scenarios

where a composite primary key makes sense.

Another thing we can talk about here is something called a bridge table.

When you're making your ER Diagram, it's important to ask yourself, "Is there anything

else that I should be recording into my database?"

Sometimes you'll have two entities connected to one another, but there's more going on

between them than you're accounting for.

That's when you need to use a bridge table.

To illustrate this point, I'm going to strip down our diagram to just Customer and Product.

Now couldn't we just create a direct relationship between these two entities?

A customer can purchase zero or many products, and a certain product can be purchased by

zero or many customers.

Sure.

Conceptually, this works.

But the way this is set up, you're not going to know when a customer purchased that product;

you're not going to know if they bought all of them at once or if they returned to

buy more at separate times; you're going to be in the dark on many details regarding

the interaction between these two entities.

And this issue often occurs when you've got a many to many relationship.

That's where a bridge table comes in.

A bridge table allows for an intermediary one to many relationship and gets you the

information you're lacking.

In this example, a bridge table would be the Order entity.

Let's put that back into the diagram.

You can see how it breaks up the many-to-many relationship, and now, each time a customer

purchases a product, we're going to have a record of that interaction in our Order

table.

So as you build or modify your ER Diagram, make sure you're asking yourself if you're

getting all necessary information and use bridge tables to capture that data.

If you want to start getting a bit more specific with your ER Diagram, you can do so by adding

data types for each attribute.

This can be really helpful, especially if you'll be doing some programming out of

this diagram.

So we use an entity shape with 3 columns, and we'll specify the type of data we want

on the far right side.

For Customer ID, we'll return an integer.

That's going to give us a number like 501422.

And all these attributes here will be varchar, meaning you can use various characters and

then set a character limit in parenthesis like this.

So for phone number, for example, it's going to have to be 10 digits to fit the standard

phone format.

There are several different data types and things we won't get into, but just know

that you can include these in your ER diagram if you want to get more technical.

We've added a lot of detail to this ERD, but what do we do with it?

Well an ERD is a great place to start before you ever even create your database.

It's easier to brainstorm and concept in a visual way, but eventually you need to translate

this over to a database management system.

Typically, you'd have to just reference this diagram and then manually enter code

to create the database.

That's a lot of work.

But here, you can actually just export the diagram and it will automatically generate

the code you need for your database.

You can see the table commands here with the entity it's referencing.

Here are the attributes for this entity with the data parameters that we set.

And it also notes our Primary and Foreign keys.

Then you just specify which database management system you're using, copy the code, and

paste it in.

Your database is ready to go.

This is a total time-saver...and if you're a student with an assignment to make a diagram

and a database, this is like cheating.

It's so easy.

Conversely, let's say you've already got a database created, but you want to visualize

it.

Anyone who's worked in a database management system knows that it is not exactly easy to

see what's going on.

But an ERD of that database gives you a visual layout.

You can see the connections between tables, where things can be improved, and it's much

easier to explain to someone.

Well, you can just import the database here, and Lucidchart populates all your tables.

Drag one out and it automatically creates the entity with the appropriate attributes,

primary keys, and foreign keys.

And if you drag out another entity, the correct relationship will automatically connect between

them.

This is another huge time-saver.

You can quickly visualize your database, make changes in diagram form, and then pass those

changes back into your database via code.

Why Doesn't God Give Me What I Want? - Duration: 28:33.

ANNOUNCER: THE FOLLOWING PROGRAM IS PAID FOR

BY THE FRIENDS AND PARTNERS OF JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES.

JOYCE: THERE'S A FAITH THAT'S SO MUCH GREATER

THAN BELIEVING FOR SOMETHING AND IT'S A FAITH THAT BELIEVES

IN SOMEONE AND ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU DON'T GET THE THING

THAT YOU'RE EXPECTING TO GET.

GINGER: AS WE WALK THROUGH EACH NEW DAY,

WE ALL HAVE QUESTIONS; THEY'RE JUST PART OF LIFE.

BUT DID YOU KNOW THERE ARE ANSWERS FOR YOU?

GOD SAYS WHEN WE LOOK, WE'LL FIND HIM.

HE'S NOT TRYING TO HIDE ANYTHING.

SO TOGETHER, WE ARE DISCOVERING LIFE'S EVERYDAY ANSWERS.

GINGER: TODAY ON "EVERYDAY ANSWERS," JOYCE WILL

TACKLE NOT ONE, NOT TWO, BUT THREE OF THE MOST COMMON

QUESTIONS THAT YOU ARE ALL SENDING IN.

SHE WILL ANSWER THE QUESTION, "WHY DOESN'T GOD

JUST GIVE ME WHAT I WANT?" WE ALL ASK THAT.

SHE'LL ALSO TACKLE, "WHY AM I NOT CHANGING?"

AND OUR FIRST QUESTION COMES FROM TWITTER.

CAMILLA ASKS, "WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP

MY COMMUNITY SPIRITUALLY?" CAMILLA,

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL QUESTION.

WELL, WE KNOW THAT PRAYER IS A GREAT PLACE TO START

BUT RIGHT NOW, JOYCE IS GOING TO SHARE SOME VERY PRACTICAL IDEAS

THAT ANYONE CAN USE TO HELP ANYBODY,

ANYTIME, ANY PLACE.

JOYCE: YOU KNOW, EVERYBODY, EVERYBODY WANTS TO FEEL

IMPORTANT, AND YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO MAKE SOMEBODY ELSE

FEEL SUPER GREAT TODAY.

AND WHEN YOU DO, IT'S GONNA SO ENHANCE YOUR LIFE.

MARY KAY ASH SAID, "PRETEND THAT EVERY SINGLE PERSON YOU MEET HAS

A SIGN AROUND HIS OR HER NECK THAT SAYS,

"MAKE ME FEEL IMPORTANT."

SO MANY PEOPLE FEEL SO BAD, AND THEY FEEL SO LITTLE,

AND SO SMALL, AND THERE'S SO MUCH GUILT

AND SO MUCH CONDEMNATION.

AND I TELL YA WHAT, GOD HAS GIVEN US

ONE OF THE PRECIOUS GIFTS.

YOU KNOW, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE COMFORTER AND THE ENCOURAGER.

AND I JUST THOUGHT YESTERDAY, MY GOSH, THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS

INVITED US TO SHARE HIS MINISTRY WITH HIM IN LIFTING PEOPLE UP.

HAVE GOALS.

SET A GOAL, "EVERY DAY I'M GONNA PUT A SMILE ON AT LEAST

THREE FACES.

EVERY DAY, I'M GONNA MAKE AT LEAST THREE PEOPLE SMILE.

I'M GOING TO GREET PEOPLE EVEN IF THEY LOOK SOUR AND

I THINK PROBABLY THEY'D RATHER I LEAVE THEM ALONE.

I'M GONNA GREAT 'EM ANYWAY.

I'M GONNA BE FRIENDLY AND GREET THEM."

COMPLIMENT PEOPLE IN SOME WAY.

EVERY PERSON YOU'RE AROUND, MAKE A DECISION--NOW COME ON,

I'M NOT JUST TALKIN'.

MAKE A DECISION EVERY PERSON YOU'RE AROUND, ASK GOD TO

PUT SOMETHING IN YOUR HEART THAT YOU CAN GENUINELY

SAY TO THEM THAT WOULD BE A COMPLIMENT.

"THAT COLOR LOOKS GREAT ON YOU.

I LOVE YOUR HAIR.

THANKS FOR HELPING ME.

I APPRECIATE YOU."

GIVE PEOPLE CREDIT WHEN THEY DO THINGS.

DON'T LET OTHER PEOPLE DO THINGS THAT YOU TAKE THE CREDIT FOR

WITHOUT GIVING THEM CREDIT ALSO.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I WAS LOOKING AT ALL THE STUFF ON THE MEDIA SCREEN

THIS MORNING WHILE WE WERE WATCHING SOME OF THE STUFF AND

I THINK ABOUT THIS ALL THE TIME, YOU KNOW WHAT?

I MEAN, I WOULD HAVE MY TEACHING GIFT NO MATTER WHAT BUT OUR

MINISTRY WOULD NOT BE REACHING THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE IT IS

WITHOUT ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE.

I DON'T HAVE THOSE CREATIVE ABILITIES.

I TALK, YOU KNOW?

THEY'VE GOT ALL THE CREATIVE ABILITY.

THEY'RE THE ONES THAT PUT TOGETHER ALL THE OTHER STUFF.

AND ALL THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE SCENES, THE HELPERS,

OH, MY GOSH, I LOVE THE HELPERS,

PEOPLE WHO JUST SAY, "YOU KNOW, I JUST WANT TO HELP.

YOU KNOW, I DON'T HAVE ANY SPECIAL GIFT, BUT I'LL HELP."

THAT IS A GIFT.

WHEN YOU WANT TO HELP, THAT IS A TREMENDOUS GIFT.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: TO BE WILLING TO BE IN THE BACKGROUND AND JUST HELP.

I TELL YA WHAT, HELPERS ARE GONNA GET A SPECIAL REWARD

IN HEAVEN, JUST HELPING PEOPLE.

LET'S MAKE A DECISION, WHEN WE GO OUT OF HERE TODAY,

THAT WE ARE GONNA GET A HABIT OF ADDING VALUE TO OTHER PEOPLE

EVERYWHERE THAT WE GO.

THANK PEOPLE, APPRECIATE THEM, TAKE TIME TO LISTEN TO THEM,

SMILE, MEET NEEDS.

AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T EVER BELITTLE ANYONE,

OR MAKE THEM FEEL USELESS, OR LIKE THEY'RE NOT AS GOOD

AS YOU BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT AS FAST AS YOU OR THEY DON'T

UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU UNDERSTAND.

ADD VALUE EVERYWHERE THAT YOU GO.

MATTER OF FACT, I CAN JUST TELL YA SOMETHING,

IF YOU GOT A MARRIAGE IN TROUBLE, YOU CAN PROBABLY

GO HOME AND HEAL IT IN 30 DAYS BY JUST APPLYING THIS PRINCIPLE

RIGHT HERE.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: COME ON.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: DON'T SIT AROUND AND WAIT FOR THE OTHER PERSON TO DO

WHAT NEEDS TO BE HOME--DONE.

YOU STEP OUT INTO THE WATER AND WATCH GOD PART IT.

YOU GO HOME AND SAY, "I'M GONNA TAKE RESPONSIBILITY,"

ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE THE BELIEVER IN THE FAMILY.

YOU TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO START APPLYING THE BIBLICAL

PRINCIPLES AND DON'T LET THE DEVIL WIN.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: START ADDING VALUE TO PEOPLE.

GINGER: IT'S PRETTY ASTOUNDING TO CONSIDER HOW MUCH

THE WORLD WOULD CHANGE FOR THE BETTER IF EACH OF US WOULD

DEVELOP A HABIT OF ADDING VALUE TO OTHERS.

WELL, SPEAKING OF HABITS, LET'S TAKE A TRIP TO A COLLEGE CAMPUS

TO SEE WHAT PEOPLE THERE THINK.

GINGER: COLLEGE, FOR MANY, THE PLACE WHERE HABITS

ARE REVEALED.

MALE: THE MOST DIFFICULT HABIT I HAVE IS PROCRASTINATION.

GINGER: HABITS ARE DUPLICATED.

FEMALE: HABITS, MY WORST HABIT IS PROBABLY

PROCRASTINATION.

FEMALE: PROCRASTINATION.

MALE: I ALWAYS WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE TO DO STUFF.

GINGER: HABITS ARE REDEFINED?

FEMALE: PROCRASTINATION'S ACTUALLY A PRETTY GOOD HABIT

THAT I'VE GOTTEN INTO.

DOING HOMEWORK AT THE LAST MINUTE, I GET A LOT MORE DONE

AND I FEEL LIKE IT'S A BETTER QUALITY EVEN.

GINGER: STUDENTS SAY BAD HABITS CAN BE UNHEALTHY.

FEMALE: I LIKE TO SLEEP A LOT AND I SMOKE CIGARS.

GINGER: FRUSTRATING.

FEMALE: BITING MY NAILS, I'M REALLY BAD WITH THAT.

GINGER: AND UNIQUE?

FEMALE: I USE THE WORD "ABSOLUTELY."

MANY TIMES WHEN YOU ASK ME A QUESTION, I WILL SAY,

"ABSOLUTELY" OR SOMETHING I'M DOING, "ABSOLUTELY."

SO, I CAN'T BREAK THAT, I TRIED.

GINGER: EVERYONE AGREES, BREAKING BAD HABITS AND

ESTABLISHING GOOD ONES CAN BE DIFFICULT BUT WORTH THE EFFORT.

FEMALE: YES, ABSOLUTELY.

THERE WE GO.

DID YOU HEAR ME?

GINGER: SO, HABITS ARE HERE TO STAY BUT WE HAVE A CHOICE

BETWEEN THE GOOD.

MALE: I LIKE TO BE ON TIME.

GINGER: THE BAD.

MALE: TEXTING AND DRIVING.

GINGER: AND THE, UM, UNIQUE?

MALE: I'M ALWAYS SMILING.

I ALWAYS TRY TO SMILE, ALSO I DO EVERYTHING

WITH PASSION.

SMILING WITH PASSION.

GINGER: REMEMBER THESE, OLD VINYL RECORDS?

FOR SOME OF US, THEY BRING BACK GREAT MEMORIES.

SOME OF THOSE COLLEGE STUDENTS MAY BE THINKING,

"WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT THING?"

BUT ISN'T IT AMAZING HOW PLAYING MUSIC HAS GONE FROM THIS

TO THIS?

IN FACT, NOW WHAT ONCE WAS THIS IS ALSO IN THIS ONE GADGET

AND VINYL'S COMING BACK AROUND.

SO, CHANGE IS NECESSARY AND IT'S JUST A PART OF OUR GROWTH

IN OUR GADGETS AND ESPECIALLY IN OUR LIVES.

JOYCE IS GOING TO TALK ABOUT CHANGING HABITS AS SHE ADDRESSES

THE QUESTION, "WHY AM I NOT CHANGING?"

JOYCE: WE ALL HAVE HABITS.

FORTY PERCENT, THEY SAY AS MUCH AS FORTY PERCENT OF WHAT WE DO,

IS DONE STRICTLY OUT OF HABIT.

THAT MEANS WE DON'T EVEN REALIZE HALF THE TIME WE'RE DOING IT.

WE JUST DO IT BECAUSE WE'VE DONE IT SO MUCH THAT IT'S BECOME

PART OF US.

HABITS ARE MADE THROUGH REPETITION AND HABITS CAN BE

BROKEN THROUGH REPETITION.

IF YOU REPETITIOUSLY DO SOMETHING,

YOU GET A HABIT OF DOING IT.

IF YOU REPETITIOUSLY DON'T DO SOMETHING, THEN YOU CAN GET

THE HABIT OF NOT DOING IT.

WHEN YOU'RE USED TO IT, YOU'LL MISS IT WHEN YOU FIRST STOP

DOING IT BUT THEN AFTER A WHILE, IT WOULDN'T EVEN BE COMFORTABLE

TO DO IT AGAIN.

HOWEVER, WE DON'T WANT TO FOCUS ON BAD HABITS.

I'M SURE WHEN I SAID I'M PREACHING ON MAKING GOOD HABITS,

RIGHT AWAY, YOU ALL THOUGHT OF ALL THE BAD HABITS THAT

YOU HAVE.

I DON'T EVEN WANT YOU TO FOCUS ON YOUR BAD HABITS.

I WANT YOU TO FOCUS ON MAKING GOOD HABITS BECAUSE I BELIEVE

IF WE MAKE ENOUGH GOOD HABITS, THERE WON'T BE ANY ROOM

IN OUR LIFE FOR THE BAD HABITS.

OKAY, NOW LOOK AT THIS SCRIPTURE, "FOR THOSE WHO ARE

ACCORDING TO THE FLESH AND ARE CONTROLLED BY ITS UNHOLY DESIRES

SET THEIR MINDS ON AND PURSUE THOSE THINGS WHICH GRATIFY

THE FLESH, BUT THOSE WHO ARE ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT AND

ARE CONTROLLED BY THE DESIRES OF THE SPIRIT SET THEIR MINDS ON

AND SEEK THOSE THINGS WHICH GRATIFY THE [HOLY] SPIRIT."

NOW, I'D LIKE YOU TO PUT THAT BACK UP FROM THE BEGINNING

AND LET ME READ IT TO YA A DIFFERENT WAY.

"FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BAD HABITS ARE CONTROLLED AND SET THEIR

MINDS ON THOSE BAD HABITS.

THOSE WHO HAVE GOOD HABITS ARE CONTROLLED BY THEM BECAUSE

THEY HAVE SET THEIR MIND ON THOSE GOOD HABITS.

WHERE THE MIND GOES, THE MAN FOLLOWS."

YOUR THOUGHTS ALWAYS PRECEDE YOUR ACTIONS.

YOU CANNOT CHANGE A BAD HABIT IF YOU KEEP BAD THINKING.

YOU CANNOT MAKE A GOOD HABIT IF YOU KEEP BAD THINKING.

YOU HAVE TO FIRST BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN DO A THING,

RENEW YOUR MIND IN THAT AREA.

THE MORE YOU THINK ABOUT IT, THE MORE YOU TALK ABOUT IT,

THE BETTER IT'S GONNA BE.

COLOSSIANS 3:1 AND 2, IT SAYS, "IF YOU THEN BEEN RAISED

WITH CHRIST [TO A NEW LIFE--" HOW MANY OF YOU BELIEVE

YOU'VE BEEN RAISED WITH CHRIST TO A NEW LIFE?

SAYS, "THUS SHARING HIS RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD],

AIM AT AND SEEK THE [ETERNAL TREASURES] THAT ARE ABOVE,

WHERE CHRIST IS, SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD."

VERSE 2, I LOVE IT.

"AND SET YOUR MINDS AND KEEP THEM SET ON WHAT IS ABOVE

(THE HIGHER THINGS), NOT ON THE THINGS

UPON THE EARTH."

NOW, LET ME JUST SIMPLY SAY THIS TO YOU, GOD HAS GIVEN YOU

AND ME AN UNBELIEVABLE GIFT IN THE MIND.

IT'S JUST--EVEN SCIENTIFICALLY, IT'S AMAZING HOW LITTLE OF OUR

MIND WE USE AND WHAT IT'S CAPABLE OF AND HOW MANY

FUNCTIONS IT PROVIDES EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY DAY.

YOUR MIND IS A PHENOMENAL GIFT FROM GOD AND GOD HAS ALSO GIVEN

US THIS ABILITY THAT IF WE REALLY MAKE OUR MINDS UP

THAT WE'RE GONNA DO SOMETHING, TO BE HONEST, IT'S PRETTY MUCH

ALL OVER AFTER THAT BECAUSE YOU REALLY CAN DO JUST ABOUT

ANYTHING THAT YOU MAKE YOUR MIND UP THAT YOU'RE GOING TO DO.

THAT'S WHY WHEN PEOPLE SAY, "WELL, YOU KNOW, I JUST--

I CAN'T--I CAN'T EXERCISE."

NOW, DON'T GET MAD AT ME, BUT THE TRUTH IS YOU DON'T WANT TO.

"WELL, I JUST CAN'T GET OUT OF DEBT.

IT'S TOO BIG OF A PROBLEM IN MY LIFE."

WELL, THE TRUTH IS IS YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY THE PRICE

TO UNDO THE MESS THAT YOU-- CAN I GO THERE?

THE MESS THAT YOU MADE.

NOW, YES, I KNOW THERE ARE ALWAYS UNFORTUNATE

CIRCUMSTANCES.

THINGS CAN HAPPEN TO PEOPLE THAT WERE BEYOND THEIR CONTROL.

I GIVE YOU THAT.

THERE'S NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT.

BUT WE'RE JUST GONNA SAY THAT WE'RE GONNA TALK ABOUT OUR PART

AND IF WE LIVE RIOTOUSLY ON ONE END, THEN WE'VE ALWAYS

GOTTA PAY THE PRICE ON THE OTHER END.

DAVE AND I GOT IN DEBT IN THE EARLY YEARS OF OUR LIFE USING

CREDIT CARDS AND WE DECIDED WE WERE GONNA GET OUT OF DEBT.

AND I MEAN, WE WENT LONG TIME AND COULDN'T BUY HARDLY

ANYTHING.

AND IT'S NOT PLEASANT WHEN YOU DO THAT, BUT IT SURE IS PLEASANT

WHEN YOU'RE NO LONGER IN DEBT.

PEOPLE SAY, "I DON'T--I CAN'T-- I JUST WANT TO SPEND TIME

WITH GOD.

I WANT TO GET UP AND PRAY, BUT I JUST DON'T HAVE THE TIME."

NOW, LOOK AT ME, LET ME TELL YA SOMETHING.

YOU HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME THAT EVERYBODY ELSE DOES.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: WE ALL GET THE SAME AMOUNT.

WE ALL GET 24 HOURS A DAY AND IT'S TOTALLY UP TO YOU WHAT

YOU DO WITH IT.

SO, IF YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO SPEND WITH GOD,

THEN YOU NEED TO JUST GET RID OF SOMETHING ELSE IN YOUR LIFE

BECAUSE NOTHING ELSE IS GONNA WORK IF YOU DON'T PUT GOD FIRST.

SO, NOW WHEN I SAY, "IF YOU MAKE YOUR MIND UP TO SOMETHING,

NOTHING CAN STOP YOU," I BELIEVE THAT THAT'S A GIFT

THAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU.

YOU KNOW, THERE WAS EVEN ONE PLACE IN THE BIBLE

WHERE GOD HAD TO COME DOWN AND CONFUSE THEIR LANGUAGES

BECAUSE THEY HAD ALL GOTTEN INTO AGREEMENT AND HE SAID,

"WE'RE GONNA HAVE TO DO SOMETHING HERE BECAUSE

THEY'RE TRYING TO BUILD A TOWER TO HEAVEN AND THERE'S SO MANY

OF THEM THAT IF THEY IMAGINE THAT THEY CAN DO THIS,

THEY'RE GONNA END UP DOING IT."

SO, THAT IN ITSELF TELLS ME THAT IT IS AMAZING WHAT WE CAN DO

IF WE JUST SIMPLY WILL SAY, "I BELIEVE WITH GOD'S HELP THAT

I CAN DO THIS.

I HAVE SET MY MIND AND I'M NOT GOING TO CHANGE IT."

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: THE PROBLEM THAT WE HAVE IS WE MAKE OUR MIND UP AND

WE CHANGE IT, AND THEN WE MAKE OUR MIND UP AND WE CHANGE IT.

AND THEN WE MAKE OUR MIND UP AND THE DEVIL TALKS US OUT OF IT.

AND WE MAKE OUR MIND UP AND THEN IT'S TOO HARD.

WE HAVE TO MAKE OUR MIND UP AND NOT CHANGE IT.

SO, IF YOU SET YOUR MIND FOR VICTORY, YOU WILL HAVE VICTORY.

I'M SURE YOU'RE FAMILIAR WITH 2 CORINTHIANS 10:4 AND 5,

"CAST DOWN WRONG IMAGINATIONS AND EVERY HIGH

AND LOFTY THING THAT EXALTS ITSELF AGAINST THE KNOWLEDGE

OF GOD."

THE DEVIL WILL PUT THOUGHTS IN OUR MIND THAT ARE AGAINST THE

WORD OF GOD AND THE BIBLE TELLS US THAT WE'RE TO CAST HIM DOWN.

NOW, A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT WORDS.

LET'S LOOK AT PROVERBS 18:20 AND 21.

I LOVE THIS.

"A MAN'S [MORAL]

SELF SHALL BE FILLED WITH THE FRUIT OF HIS MOUTH;

AND WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS WORDS HE MUST BE

SATISFIED [WHETHER GOOD OR EVIL]."

UH-OH, WE BETTER LEAVE THAT UP THERE A MINUTE 'CAUSE

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU GOT IT.

WORDS HAVE CONSEQUENCES.

YOU KNOW WHY?

BECAUSE WORDS ARE CONTAINERS FOR POWER.

I HAVE WATER IN THIS GLASS, BUT I COULD PUT MUD IN IT IF

I WANTED TO.

WELL, YOUR WORDS ARE CONTAINERS AND WHAT YOU PUT IN THEM

IS ENTIRELY UP TO YOU BUT YOU WILL GET THE CONSEQUENCES

OF THOSE WORDS.

WELL, YOU GUYS ARE EXCITED TODAY ABOUT MY GREAT MESSAGE.

THE POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH IS IN THE TONGUE.

THE POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH IS IN THE TONGUE.

ONE MORE, "IDLE WORDS LEAK POWER,"

THAT'S WHAT WATCHMAN NEE SAID.

"IDLE WORDS LEAK POWER."

LOOK AT 2 TIMOTHY 2:16, "BUT AVOID ALL EMPTY

(VAIN, USELESS, IDLE) TALK, FOR IT WILL LEAD TO MORE

AND MORE UNGODLINESS."

NOW, LET ME JUST GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE OF IDLE TALK.

MATTER OF FACT, IF YOU REALLY JUST WOULD TAKE A WHOLE DAY

AND ZIP YOUR LIP AND JUST LISTEN TO PEOPLE, PEOPLE SAY SOME OF

THE STUPIDEST THINGS.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I MEAN, THINGS THAT JUST MAKE ABSOLUTELY

NO SENSE AT ALL.

LIKE PEOPLE WILL SAY TO ME, I GET THIS ALL THE TIME,

"JOYCE, I LOVE YOU TO DEATH."

I'M LIKE, "DON'T LOVE ME TO DEATH, LOVE ME TO LIFE.

I'M WORKING REAL HARD TO TRY AND HAVE A LIFE, NOT DYIN'."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: OR WE SAY, "THIS IS JUST KILLING ME,

JUST KILLING ME."

WE TALK SO MUCH ABOUT DEATH, PEOPLE TALK MORE ABOUT DEATH

THAN THEY DO LIFE.

IDLE TALK.

"THIS IS JUST SO HARD.

I DON'T THINK I CAN DO THIS.

I'LL NEVER CHANGE.

I'M SO STUPID.

I'LL NEVER LOSE WEIGHT.

I'LL NEVER HAVE A-- I'LL NEVER BE OUT OF DEBT.

I'LL NEVER HAVE A GOOD JOB.

I'LL NEVER GET THAT PROMOTION."

WHY IN THE WORLD, IF YOU'RE GONNA SPEND YOUR TIME TALKING,

DON'T YOU--WHY DON'T YOU SAY SOMETHING THAT'S GONNA HELP YOU,

INSTEAD OF SAYING SOMETHING THAT'S GONNA HURT YOU AND JUST

MAKE YOU FEEL WORSE AND WORSE AND WORSE ALL THE TIME?

OKAY, YOU KNOW WHY?

HABIT.

WE JUST GET IN THE HABIT OF JUST SAYING WHAT EVERYBODY ELSE SAYS

OR WE JUST GET IN THE HABIT OF JUST SAYING WHATEVER COMES UP.

YOU KNOW, ALL THE ENEMY REALLY HAS TO DO IS JUST ASSIGN

A LITTLE DEMON TO BE ABOUT RIGHT HERE AND JUST SUGGEST THOUGHTS

TO YOU AND THEY JUST GO RIGHT IN YOUR HEAD AND RIGHT OUT YOUR

MOUTH, RIGHT IN YOUR HEAD AND RIGHT OUT YOUR MOUTH.

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, ALL DAY LONG.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: WELL, GOD WANTS US TO SAY NO TO THAT, AND HE WANTS US

TO BE FULL OF THE WORD.

AND THEN HE WANTS IT TO COME UP OUT OF HERE OUT OF OUR MOUTH,

OUT OF HERE OUT OF OUR MOUTH.

SO, ARE YOU DOING THIS OR THIS?

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: MAYBE WHEN SOMEBODY SAYS, "WHAT DID YOU LEARN

TODAY?" YOU CAN SAY, "NO MORE OF THIS

AND A LOT OF THIS."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: COME ON, I'LL GIVE YOU A SERMON RIGHT THERE.

NO MORE OF THIS AND A LOT OF THIS.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: YOU DON'T JUST SAY WHAT YOU FEEL.

YOU SAY WHAT TRUTH IS.

YOUR WORDS AND YOUR THOUGHTS WILL PRECEDE ALL OF YOUR

ACTIONS.

SO, IT'S NOT GONNA DO YA TOO MUCH GOOD TO TRY TO MAKE ANY

OTHER KIND OF HABIT UNTIL YOU FIRST HAVE THE GOD HABIT

AND THEN THROUGH GOD'S WORD, YOU LET HIM TEACH YOU THE POWER

OF THOUGHTS AND WORDS.

GINGER: JOYCE WILL BE ANSWERING YET ANOTHER QUESTION

IN JUST A MINUTE, "WHY DOESN'T GOD GIVE ME WHAT I WANT?"

BUT FIRST, WE WANNA TELL YOU ABOUT A RESOURCE THAT CAN HELP

YOU ADDRESS ALL OF TODAY'S QUESTIONS.

THIS IS JOYCE'S BOOK CALLED, "MAKING GOOD HABITS,

BREAKING BAD HABITS."

THIS IS GREAT PRACTICAL STUFF.

IN THIS BOOK, YOU'LL GET OVER SOME OF THOSE HUMPS THAT

YOU'VE BEEN FACING TRYING TO CHANGE THOSE HABITS.

WE ALSO HAVE AN ACTION PLAN THAT YOU CAN GET WHICH HAS THE BOOK.

IT ALSO HAS AUDIO TEACHING AND A WORKBOOK WHICH IS GREAT

FOR YOU TO DO IN A BIBLE STUDY, ON YOUR OWN, WITH YOUR FAMILY,

WHATEVER.

SO, CHECK THAT OUT AS WELL.

WE WANNA MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET THIS IN YOUR HANDS

BECAUSE IT REALLY WILL HELP YOU.

YOU KNOW, WE LOVE HEARING FROM YOU AND GOD IS CERTAINLY

ALWAYS LISTENING.

SO, HERE'S AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERYONE TO HEAR YOUR VOICE.

[MUSIC]

GINGER: WE ASKED YOU TO SHARE HOW GOD HAS SHOWN YOU THAT

HE CARES ABOUT YOU, EVEN IN THE SMALL THINGS IN YOUR LIFE.

GOT SOME GREAT RESPONSES.

LYNNE FROM SOUTH AFRICA SAYS, "FROM ALWAYS FINDING A PARKING

SPACE TO EVERYTHING I NEED TO BUY BEING ON SPECIAL THAT WEEK."

THOSE ARE LITTLE BUT IMPORTANT.

THAT'S GREAT.

DANA SAYS, "GOD REPAIRED MY BROKEN COMPUTER.

FOUR DIFFERENT SPECIALISTS LOOKED AT IT AND COULDN'T

RESTORE THE HARD DRIVE.

MY FRIEND AND I PRAYED FOR GOD TO FIX IT.

IF HE CARES ABOUT A COMPUTER, HOW MUCH MORE DOES HE CARE

ABOUT US?" JENNIFER SAYS,

"I HAVE TO SHARE THIS ONE.

WE WERE RECENTLY DISPLACED WHEN A HUGE TREE FELL ON OUR HOUSE

DURING HURRICANE MATTHEW.

MY THREE GIRLS ALL TAKE PIANO WEEKLY AND HAVE FOR YEARS.

I WASN'T SURE IF I WOULD HAVE TO RENT ONE OR BORROW A KEYBOARD.

THE RENTAL HOUSE WE'RE STAYING IN CAME WITH A PIANO.

THE HOMEOWNER DOESN'T EVEN PLAY AND WAS GETTING READY TO

DONATE IT.

SO, WHEN GOD PROVIDED THIS HOUSE, HE THOUGHT OF ALL THE

LITTLE THINGS TOO LIKE A PIANO."

THERE ARE MANY MORE GREAT RESPONSES ONLINE SO IF YOU

EVER WANT A LITTLE BIT OF ENCOURAGEMENT, GET ON THERE,

BROWSE AROUND.

AND WE DO WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

THIS WEEK, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT BREAKING HABITS SO LET'S MAKE

THAT FIRST STEP BEING ACCOUNTABLE AND PUTTING OUT

THERE WHAT WE'RE GONNA CHANGE.

WE'RE GONNA ASK YOU TO SHARE WITH US THOSE HABITS THAT YOU

WANNA BREAK.

NO MATTER HOW DISGUSTING OR EMBARRASSING IT MAY BE,

LET'S JUST BE REAL AND GET IT OUT THERE

AND WE WILL FACE THOSE THINGS TOGETHER.

SHARE 'EM ON FACEBOOK, THE JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES

FACEBOOK PAGE.

AND, OF COURSE, IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS FOR JOYCE,

USE THE #ASKJOYCE AND WE LOVE ANSWERING

THOSE QUESTIONS.

NOW, HERE IS JOYCE'S ANSWER TO THE QUESTION WE'VE ALL ASKED

BEFORE, "WHY DOESN'T GOD JUST GIVE ME WHAT I WANT?"

JOYCE: LAST THING I WANNA TALK TO YA ABOUT TODAY

IS THE HABIT OF FAITH.

YOU SAY, "THE HABIT OF FAITH?" I WANNA TELL YA SOMETHIN',

BELIEVING, JUST SIMPLY DECIDING THAT YOU'RE GONNA BELIEVE GOD,

THAT YOU'RE GONNA BELIEVE HIS WORD, THAT YOU'RE GONNA BELIEVE

THAT HE LOVES YOU, BELIEVE THAT HE'S TAKING CARE OF YOU, JUST

DECIDING TO BELIEVE DOES SUCH AMAZING THINGS IN YOUR SOUL.

THE BIBLE SAYS IN HEBREWS 4, "THOSE WHO HAVE BELIEVED

DO ENTER THE REST OF GOD."

AND THERE'S A LOT OF THINGS THE BIBLE TELLS US NOT TO STRIVE

OVER BUT IT DOES TELL US TO STRIVE TO ENTER THE REST OF GOD.

SO, THAT MEANS IN EVERY SITUATION THAT I'M IN,

THE BEST WAY THAT I CAN GET RELIEF FROM WORRY, OR ANXIETY,

OR FEAR, OR TENSION, OR STRESS, OR ANYTHING ELSE,

IS JUST TO BELIEVE.

I HAD TO LEARN TO DO THAT EVEN WHEN I'M PREACHING.

SOMETIMES I'D BE PREACHING AND SOMEBODY WOULD BE FIDGETING

AROUND, LOOKIN' AT THEIR WATCH, YAWNIN'.

TWO OR THREE PEOPLE WOULD GET UP AND LEAVE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN

I'D START THINKING, OH, THIS MESSAGE MUST BE TERRIBLE.

THEY DON'T LIKE MY PREACHING.

AND I MEAN, I WOULD JUST START GOING DOWN THE DRAIN.

AND GOD BEGAN TO SHOW ME, IF YOU DON'T MAINTAIN

YOUR CONFIDENCE WHEN YOU'RE IN THAT PULPIT,

YOU'RE GONNA GIVE THE MEETING TO THE DEVIL.

YOU HAVE TO BE CONFIDENT AND YOU CAN'T WAIT TO FEEL CONFIDENT,

YOU HAVE TO BE CONFIDENT.

THE BIBLE SAYS IN ROMANS 1:17 THAT IN THE WORD, IN THE GOSPEL,

THERE'S A RIGHTEOUSNESS REVEALED THAT LEADS US FROM

FAITH TO FAITH TO FAITH.

IF YOU GUYS HAVE IT, CAN YOU PUT UP ROMANS 1:17

FOR US SO EVERYBODY CAN SEE THIS?

IN THE GOSPEL THERE'S A RIGHTEOUSNESS REVEALED.

"FOR IN THE GOSPEL A RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH GOD

ASCRIBES IS REVEALED, BOTH SPRINGING FROM FAITH

AND LEADING TO FAITH [DISCLOSED THROUGH THE WAY

OF FAITH THAT AROUSES TO MORE FAITH]."

I LOVE THAT.

SO, IN THE BIBLE, THERE'S A RIGHTEOUSNESS,

A RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD THAT'S REVEALED.

NOW, IF YOU DON'T KNOW THAT RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD,

YOU'RE NOT GONNA ABLE TO HAVE THIS KIND OF FAITH

BECAUSE YOU'RE GONNA THINK THAT EVERYTHING IN YOUR LIFE

IS DEPENDENT ON YOU, BUT IT'S NOT.

IT'S ALL DEPENDENT ON THE GRACE OF GOD COMING TO YOU

AND YOU RECEIVE THAT GRACE THROUGH FAITH.

IF YOU'VE SINNED, YOU DON'T HAVE DO SOMETHING TO PAY BACK NOW

FOR YOUR SIN.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS SAY, "I BELIEVE THAT GOD

WILL FORGIVE ME IF I ASK HIM.

I RECEIVE THAT FORGIVENESS.

THERE'S NO CONDEMNATION BECAUSE THE BIBLE SAYS

THERE'S NO CONDEMNATION.

GOD STILL LOVES ME.

I'M STILL RIGHT WITH GOD."

AND THAT ENABLES YOU TO JUST HAVE FAITH THAT EVERYTHING'S

GONNA WORK OUT RIGHT IN YOUR LIFE.

YOU SAY, "WELL, WHAT HAPPENS IF I BELIEVE--LET'S JUST SAY,

I BELIEVE FOR SOMETHING AND I JUST DON'T GET IT?"

WELL, THEN KEEP BELIEVING ANYWAY.

JUST KEEP BELIEVING.

JUST SAY, "I'M NOT GONNA STOP BELIEVING.

I MAY NOT GET IT THE WAY THAT I WANT IT.

I MAY NOT GET IT THE WAY THAT I THOUGHT IT WAS GONNA BE,

BUT I'M GONNA KEEP BELIEVING."

I DON'T HAVE TO BELIEVE FOR SOMETHING.

I NEED TO BELIEVE IN SOMEBODY.

THERE'S A DIFFERENCE.

WE'VE ALWAYS GOT THIS THING THAT WE'RE BELIEVING FOR.

WELL, YOU KNOW WHAT?

THERE'S A FAITH THAT'S SO MUCH GREATER THAN BELIEVING

FOR SOMETHING AND IT'S A FAITH THAT BELIEVERS IN SOMEONE AND

ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU DON'T GET THE THING THAT YOU'RE EXPECTING

TO GET.

COME ON, WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT GOD IS SMARTER THAN WE ARE

AND HE KNOWS BETTER THAN WE DO WHAT WE NEED.

AND THANK GOD THAT HE WON'T GIVE US WHAT WE WANT BUT HE'LL MAKE

US WAIT UNTIL WE'RE SMART ENOUGH TO RECEIVE WHAT HE SAYS IS GONNA

BE THE BEST FOR US.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: WHEN YOU TRUST GOD--LISTEN, I ASK GOD FOR ALL

KINDS OF STUFF AND A LOT OF MY PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED RIGHT AWAY,

SOME OF THEM AREN'T.

SOME OF THE THINGS I'VE ASKED FOR, I'VE NEVER GOTTEN AND

I'VE SEEN OTHER PEOPLE GET 'EM.

AND I JUST HAVE TO TRUST GOD, "IF THAT'S WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED

TO HAVE, THEN YOU WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT TO ME."

DON'T LOOK AT OTHER PEOPLE AND BE JEALOUS.

DON'T LOOK AT OTHER PEOPLE AND BE ENVIOUS.

JUST SAY TO YOURSELF, "GOD LOVES ME.

I'M IN RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD.

THAT RIGHTEOUSNESS HAS BEEN REVEALED TO ME THROUGH THE WORD.

GOD WOULD NEVER HOLD OUT ON ME BECAUSE I'M THE APPLE

OF HIS EYE.

HE HAS HIS EYE ON ME ALL THE TIME.

AND HE WOULD NOT HOLD OUT ON ME.

HE WOULD NOT KEEP ANY BLESSING FROM ME."

MAYBE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT GOD'S DOING RIGHT NOW.

THERE WAS A LOT OF THINGS I DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT GOD

WAS DOING BUT I LOOK BACK NOW AND I UNDERSTAND IT.

SADLY, WE LIVE LIFE FORWARD BUT WE UNDERSTAND IT BACKWARD.

YOU KNOW, WHEN WE'RE GOING TOWARD THINGS WE'RE LIKE,

"WHAT IS GOING ON?

I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

THIS MAKES NO SENSE.

THIS IS SO HARD--" AND THEN YOU GET OVER HERE

AND IT'S LIKE, "OH, MY GOSH.

IF I WOULDN'T HAVE GONE THROUGH THAT, I WOULD NOT BE THE PERSON

THAT I AM TODAY.

IF I WOULDN'T HAVE GONE THROUGH THAT, I WOULD NOT KNOW WHAT

I KNOW TODAY."

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: SO, HERE'S THE THING THAT WE GOTTA DO, WHILE WE'RE

OVER HERE LIVING LIFE FORWARD, WE SAY, "I BELIEVE.

I BELIEVE.

I BELIEVE.

I DON'T CARE HOW I FEEL, I BELIEVE.

I DON'T CARE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE, I BELIEVE.

I TRUST THAT GOD IS TAKING CARE OF ME.

I KNOW THAT I AM GOD'S CHILD AND I AM GONNA LIVE FROM FAITH TO

FAITH TO FAITH TO FAITH TO FAITH AND FAITH IS GONNA BECOME

A HABIT IN MY LIFE."

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AND, YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE

THE FAITH HABIT?

THEN THE FEAR HABIT CANNOT GET IN.

THE WORRY HABIT CANNOT GET IN.

THE ANXIETY HABIT CANNOT GET IN.

THE STRESS HABIT CANNOT GET IN.

YOU KNOW WHY?

BECAUSE YOU'VE ENTERED THE REST OF GOD AND YOU FRANKLY DON'T

CARE WHAT GOD DOES OR WHEN HE DOES IT BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT

HIS TIMING WILL BE PERFECT AND WHATEVER HE DOES WILL BE

100% RIGHT.

COME ON, GIVE GOD PRAISE.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: FROM FAITH TO FAITH TO FAITH TO FAITH

TO FAITH TO FAITH.

GINGER: THERE HAVE BEEN MANY TIMES IN MY LIFE THAT I AM

SO GLAD GOD DIDN'T GIVE ME WHAT I ASKED FOR.

HE KNOWS SO MUCH BETTER.

MAKE SURE YOU JOIN US NEXT TIME ON "EVERYDAY ANSWERS."

JOYCE: WELL, GOD, I MESSED UP AGAIN.

I REPENT, LORD.

I TURN AWAY FROM IT, I DON'T WANT TO ACT LIKE THAT,

I'M SO SORRY.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FORGIVENESS.

I RECEIVE YOUR MERCY.

GINGER: TO DISCOVER MORE ANSWERS TO YOUR EVERYDAY

those two bosses somehow whatever that's will remain a mystery how to get rid of

those boxes probably it's probably night room

it was probably nicer button later on in the level yeah I did it I am the master

of mold people and stuff hey hey yeah

loop

this is belly flop small net so weird during the bird's-eye view on him 43 out

of 33 so I missed 10 boxes that time fine at least they don't crash on

crashes head like they did in the first one we just kind of see that we miss

them and that's that so when are we gonna get cocoa when do I get to use so

dope why did I not get it I didn't get the crystal I got to go back get the

crystal where was it I didn't even see it huh it must have been on the left

then it must be on the left side I totally forgot about that she's okay so

stick to the left we're going to zoom zoom this is going to be a speedrun of

this level did speed brother pitch let's do this there it is it's a big one

maybe it's just the lighting okay we're we're good now

there you go we can go now boy I'm going to worry about the boldest bubbles or

anything I'm just going to go it's going to roll with it so in order to get in

order to get all the boxes you actually have to ah whatever I can't do that

again okay nope not going there did that last time I don't need to do it again

fast but still like 30 seconds yeah I didn't get any boxes but I got the

crystal and now we're out hey boy too much I'll destroy there it

is yeah pulling that crystal a PUD going alright

crash - see what those levels about and he said he wasn't going to contact me

again until I got two more crystals so this is this was number two this is the

fifth crystal that we've gotten that we will have gotten sliding can help you

move faster okay also am i running from stuff oh yeah I

think I'm running oh yeah I remember I remember all the

boulders just like old times buddy how you been whoa don't do that okay that's

all you don't cool I thought it was gonna be like a polar bear or something

I like the music whoo fine all right so do you you don't have to

fly it it's not necessary it is when you do that the ball boys don't run into the

electric fan all these extra line 15 lines I know except for the Holden fine

turn the fan hey hey whoa electric pen hey hey look it's crazy when you're

playing it a runaway level where I'm not sure now where you're running towards

the camera cuz you don't know what's about to happen it's so hard this is way

faster pace than the first one to the personal seven boo crystal motors level

I don't I don't care about the bonus company one whoa kind of care another

bonus now I got plenty of lines let's go let's do this I don't know saying it ah

yeah start slowing down to go faster no sliding just jump just jumping and no

sliding unless I have to unless I'm really behind oh wait okay so

what is it about speeds it's going to be one those time trial level I can't say

all our time for our levels think about it

well those levels you definitely can't take your no need that whoa not worth it

no or this whoa whoa who's close I tried I tried to get that life it's just

something about an extra life just sitting there just haunts me like I

wanted well you're not all right no we're about

to find out Dick's dad we'll all right now we're back in the workroom I'm gonna

let you yeah you're gonna find out if we're fighting a boss now are we

Ripper Roo he's back I forgot he came back that's so cool

yeah I totally forgot he shouldn't play with nitro boxes and neither should you

okay so don't touch the Nitro oh yeah because he's smart now he's been reading

he's not crazy anymore what's so crazy but I'm gonna fuse

so what do you do I'm confused

oh okay if we just wait for him to hurt himself and then okay got it

so TMZ boxers aren't a big deal so you just got a you got to stick with the

pattern and run with it and then when he gets knocked out got like an Einstein

haircut - cool Oh Ripper Roo is crazy Q and

like slime candy corn all around his head as a fitting first of all the

second box in the first game

okay we're so good because no ah I knew I was gonna die eventually

I know I was being a runner perfect on the first ball okay I got 15 line

students to use on this guy

blew his glasses off in his hat now he's is crazy

I like how he's still in a straitjacket though good oh okay I'm Kristin this

quarter maybe not drew just so hard cause you don't know what what's going

on I like how there's um we've got like equations written all

around the arena

yay one more bit okay do it hug one run

huh

and undid him crazy so he earned professor polar I professor Ripper Roo

okay so now he's crazy again a tourist straitjacket to if you didn't notice his

hands were free when I beat fun fact I don't know if that means anything so

where are you where are you cortex you said you were gonna get with

me when I got five crystals and you didn't what's with that fine now I have

six so where are you I have them all or1 to

go up ok duh oh layers the layers they're liking the ogre and now we are

at the snow stages awesome Oh back hey friends I see that River

rule failed to prove much of a challenge yet again but back to business need not

there are crystals to be gathered 20 to be exact the planets will align shortly

all 13 of them and this will create a power great enough to rip the earth

apart properly utilized however the crystals can absorb and contain it

Craigie thank you I've been looking everywhere I don't know how much time to

tell you it you have to be careful trusting courgettes seems a little

unwise crash I can't open my closet I need to what excuse me what do you say

who's that oh hey is it time machine hey do you

want her - yes awesome now we can use Coco that's what I'm talking about

awesome possum so I'm gonna go ahead and finish the episode off here I know you

Who Old Are You? -- DONG - Duration: 4:31.

Yes?

Nooooooooooooooo.com.

Who old are you?

Is a DONG.

It's something you can do online now guys.

Enter your birthday into the site and it'll spit back a timeline that allows you to see

where you are in your life compared to other famous achievers.

Here's my info and as it turns out, Harrison Ford was a little younger than me when he

was in his first big movie.

But Michelangelo was older than me when he began painting the Sistine Chapel.

The museum of conceptual art has a similar site.

Type in your age and get a list of accomplishments others had made by that age.

This all reminds me of Wait But Why and a fantastic set of visuals they made.

If every one of these diamonds is a year, this is what 90 of them would look like.

So if you live to be 90 years old, this is how many years of life you'll have.

This is how many months you'll have.

And this is how many weeks you'll have.

Here's relatively how much of your life will be spent in things like elementary school,

middle school, high school, and so on.

It's cool and .. a little scary, to see your life like this.

But how much life do you have left?

I know when and how you will die but I'm not allowed to tell you.

Instead, get a rough idea from primiere magazine's interactive chart.

Enter your birthday and check out what proportion of the weeks you'll probably live you've

already lived.

Brain Anatomy features a 3D human brain you can rotate, look inside, and learn from

Whereas brain tree is a site that accesses your webcam to make you look all cool and

made of text.

Adjust elements like contrast, brightness, or font size which doesn't look like much

when it's too large.

Zoom in, out, and rotate it around to view your text selfie in all of its glory.

Now take those letters off your face and arrange them into words with

Word association.

Perhaps the largest compendium of what words people associate with other words.

Join in by typing the first thing that comes to mind when given a word.

The most common word associated with THAT word will then given.

Let me try this..ok

shaven, face, makeup, beautiful, awesome, good, head, butt, kicking, screaming, eagles,

fly, open, closed, door, slam, noise, silence, sound

At any time you can check the stats on a word to see what else people think of when they

see that word.

Degrees of wikipedia connects things for you.

This was a recommended DONG from twitter.

Type in any two topics you want and this site will find the number and name of the links

it took to get from one to another.

For example, dendrite and brain have a short connection with only "neuron" in between.

What's the longest link you can find?

Can you find one equal to the distance between

London and Auckland?

City extremes was initially built to answer the question of what city of at least 100,000

people is closest to Honolulu -- the answer, by the way, is Daly City, California.

The site now also includes furthest cities, closest foreign city, furthest domestic city,

and more.

So go ahead and give it a try...angle

With trigon.

This game has one rule and one chance at victory.

It's to match the triangle color to the corresponding line.

Suuuuper easy...at first.

You better stay alert because like I said one misstep costs you the game but that's

okay because you can just jump on over to

Jumpball, a multiplayer game where you move around and use the spacebar to jump and blast

other players.

Shift speeds it up and at the end you'll be given a rank and weight.

Now it's time for some soft, fluffy pancakes.

Uhh whuuu?

It's gone stale.

Don't turn stale yourself.

Trump's Anger Is Out Of Control, Aides Say He Won't Stop Yelling At The TV - Duration: 3:56.

People working within the Donald Trump White House understand that Trump is pretty much

a dangerous individual because of his explosive temper and erratic behavior.

Earlier this week, Newsweek reported that people within the Trump administration are

growing even more afraid because, according to people that work in the White House, White

House aides, Donald Trump will not stop yelling at his television.

It's because of all the coverage of the Trump, Jr., meeting and all the Kushner stuff, and

the Manafort, and the Comey, and the Russia, and Trump's lawyer.

Everything right now is wall-to-wall basically negative about Donald Trump with the exception

of Fox News.

Donald Trump is so angry, so bitter, that he can't control himself, and according to

people in the White House, he is just screaming at the TV when he's not rage-Tweeting.

What's interesting about this is that Donald Trump is such a thin-skinned little, to borrow

a word from the Republicans, snowflake that he cannot put his personal rage aside and

function as a human being.

Could you imagine what would happen if we got reports like this from the Obama White

House?

Was he screaming at the TV when people like Donald Trump were saying that he wasn't even

born in the United States, that his birth certificate was fake?

That he's from Kenya, that he's a Muslim?

That he's palling around with terrorists?

Could you imagine if Obama behaved in this manner?

No, he didn't.

You know why?

Because he was a grown up.

He wasn't a man-child with the mentality of a toddler, angry that the commercials came

on in the middle of his favorite TV show.

Obama was an adult.

He was mature and responsible.

He understood that people didn't like him and were saying these untrue things, and you

know what he did?

He ignored it.

He joked about it because he didn't care.

Somebody like him has gone through his whole life, having a white mother and a black father,

people picked on him.

It wasn't easy for him.

He put himself through law school, became President of the United States.

He worked his way from the bottom to the absolute top.

He took all the slings and arrows along the way.

He understands that you can't let every little thing bother you or else you'd never get anywhere

in life.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump, a guy who's literally had everything in his life handed to him,

doesn't understand that.

He doesn't understand what hard work and dedication mean.

He doesn't understand how to just let things go and focus on the task at hand regardless

of what the naysayers are saying.

He doesn't get that, and that is just one of the very many reasons why this man is ill

equipped and should not be serving as President of the United States.

Furthermore, for those people who work in the White House to have to live in a constant

state of fear because they don't know how Donald Trump's going to respond at any given

time to any given news ... That is disgusting.

That is unfair to those people.

Yeah, they chose those jobs.

They might stay there, but the job market kind of sucks right now so you can't really

blame them for that.

But they are living in fear.

They've admitted they're living in fear.

That's what Donald Trump is and that's what his disgusting, unstable personality is breeding

within that White House.

The Coolest Things We Didn't Know About Pluto Two Years Ago - Duration: 4:27.

[INTRO ♪]

When New Horizons set off toward Pluto in 2006,

we had almost no idea what we would find there.

We knew a little about its size and composition, but that was mostly it.

We didn't even really know what it looked like.

Then, on July 14, 2015, New Horizons showed up at Pluto, and totally blew our minds.

We found out the Pluto system is one of the coolest places we've ever explored.

So to celebrate the fly-by's two-year anniversary,

here are some of the most exciting things that we've learned.

First, there's that giant, super cute heart,

which scientists informally called Sputnik Planum.

That area is made up mostly of slowly flowing, frozen nitrogen.

The mass of moving ice is one of the largest glaciers in the solar system!

But what's especially neat is that the nitrogen ice is undergoing convection,

the circular current that forms as material heats up and cools down.

Pluto is pretty cold, at around -230 degrees Celsius on average.

But the elements slowly decaying in Pluto's core create just enough heat

to make underground nitrogen ice all soft and mushy.

Then, that soft ice rises to the surface, cools down, and sinks underground again,

kinda like a gigantic, groovy lava lamp.

A lot of scientists didn't expect to see active geology on Pluto,

which made this discovery an awesome surprise.

New Horizons found that Pluto has plenty of mountains, too,

including some covered in methane ice.

And some of those mountains, like one called Wright Mons,

even look like they could be cryovolcanoes, or ice volcanoes.

We didn't see anything actively erupting when New Horizons flew by,

so we don't know for sure, but these volcanoes might erupt

with a mixture of water ice, ammonia, methane, or frozen nitrogen.

Which is pretty neat for a little world so far away.

And the discoveries about Pluto weren't limited to the ground,

or what could potentially erupt out of it.

New Horizons also found out that Pluto's sky is blue.

It's just like home!

That is, besides the freezing temperatures, lack of sunlight, and toxic air.

Here on Earth, the sky is blue because molecules like nitrogen in the atmosphere scatter sunlight,

but on Pluto, molecules called tholins do the scattering.

Tholins are complex, organic molecules that form when UV light from the Sun reacts with

the nitrogen and methane in Pluto's atmosphere.

The tholins themselves are probably grey or red,

and they help give Pluto's surface some of its color.

But their small size makes them perfect for scattering blue light.

Aww! There's nothing like finding little reminders of home billions of kilometers away.

While it was flying past Pluto, New Horizons also got our closest look at Pluto's moons:

Charon, Hydra, Nix, Styx, and Kerberos.

And the largest moon, Charon, had some fun surprises.

For one thing, its north pole, which the New Horizons team dubbed Mordor, is dark red,

and Pluto might have had something to do with that.

In a paper published in the journal Nature last year, scientists suggested Charon's

pole is red because Pluto's atmosphere is staining it.

After methane escapes from Pluto's atmosphere, it's caught by Charon's gravity and then

collects and freezes on the moon's north pole, one of the only places on Charon

cold enough to have frozen methane all year.

Then, ultraviolet rays from the Sun cause a chemical reaction in the methane,

which turns it into tholins, those same reddish, organic molecules

that make Pluto's sky blue.

We've never seen coloring like Charon's before,

and it looks like we can thank Pluto for that, too.

But Charon can also take credit for some of its awesome features.

Like its gigantic canyon system that's 1800 kilometers long and up to 7.5 kilometers deep.

That's four times as long and four times as deep as the Grand Canyon,

even though Charon's diameter is less than 10% of Earth's.

The canyon probably stretches around most of Charon's surface, and there are also

plenty of mountains on what we thought was going to be a boring, little moon.

Charon might have ended up with that weirdly uneven geology because of a subsurface ocean

that froze a few hundred million years after the moon formed.

Most of Charon's surface is made up of water ice, but astronomers think that right after

Charon formed, it might have been hot enough to melt some of the ice underground.

Then, over time, the underground ocean could have frozen, expanded,

and created that huge fracture in Charon's surface.

We're not positive that's exactly what happened, but the possibility of another ocean

in the solar system is just plain awesome.

So from the tip top of ice volcanoes to the bottom of super canyons,

New Horizons has shown us that the Kuiper Belt is way more fascinating than we thought.

And two years later, scientists still have plenty of data to analyze,

so we'll be learning a lot more about Pluto and its moons in the future.

Meanwhile, New Horizons is on track to visit another object in the Kuiper Belt,

called 2014 MU69, on New Year's Day, 2019.

So this little spacecraft isn't done teaching us about the solar system yet.

And neither are we!

Finding the perfect JEANS! - Duration: 6:20.

Hey you guys! Welcome to CarlieStylez! Today we are just hanging out in my bedroom

and we are going to be talking about

finding the perfect pair of jeans for your body type.

And...there are some tricks and rules

that you have to follow. So..first and foremost-- thank you to Style & Co

for sending us all the goodies that you guys will be seeing

in today's video. And they are found exclusively at Macy's.

And...

They just launched their summer line

and all their clothes are darling.

So make sure you guys check those out in the description box below.

I will leave you guys a link for their lookbook.

So let's get to it. Finding the perfect pair

of jeans. I know. I know. It can be stressful.

And...jeans sometimes can be scary.

But the good news is we don't have to

compromise style just because we are moms. Or just because

we don't feel like we have the body type for jeans. Okay. So that

kinda falls into the very first rule

of finding a good pair of jeans.

First and foremost, you must love yourself.

You have to accept yourself for who you are. If you've got

big hips, a big booty,

a smaller waistline, a bigger waistline, whatever it is

you have to promise me that you are going to love

yourself through the journey of finding jeans because

that is what is most important. I am about two months post postpartum from my second little

boy. And my body is going

through that transformation period stage where my hips

are still like my birthing hips they're still out there

and I still have some baby weight. The jeans that

I had before baby don't quite fit me.

So I was really afraid of doing

a video about jeans when I'm not 100%

confident

with how I am looking now. But then

the more I started thinking about

who this could reach and who I am talking to, the more I was like-- You know what?

You have to love yourself through all the phases of

your journey and your transformation

and everything else. So...rant is over!

But first and foremost you have to love yourself through the process.

No matter what. And the good news is, Style & Co

has jeans that are the curvy fit.

So they will fit any kind of body type. And just kind of hug your curves

and your body like a glove.

So second rule when jean shopping...

make sure you find a pair of jeans that has some stretch

and give to them. Because this will help

the jeans to actually fit with your body and not

against your body. Have you ever bent down to

try and pick something up and you popped out your crack or your hip

popped out the top or your muffin top kinda

slipped out. I don't know about you guys, but it happens to me

and when I find jeans with a good stretch,

they work with my waistline. They work with my hips

and they kind of move with you and not against you.

So find a pair of jeans that have a good stretch.

And then lastly, my third rule is

go towards a denim that is kind of the medium blue.

You don't want to go too light and too dark.

You want to stay with a good medium shade of blue.

And why? I feel like it is a good

pair of jeans for the right color that can wear

be worn during the day

and transition easily into a night look.

Now, this doesn't mean you can't wear a lighter pair of jeans

at night or during the day. Whatever.

These are just what I feel most confident in right now.

And I'm gonna be showing you guys two looks of

what I have been loving and what I got from Style & Co

for a day look and how I quickly transform

that into a night look. So let's take a look.

Alright you guys..so this is my favorite

day look. A simple t-shirt, a simple shoe

and a great pair of jeans. I love the color

It falls in that medium blue denim look.

And it has a lot of stretch to them.

And I like that I can transition these jeans into night really easily

So for the day I just did a small cuff on the ankle.

I just feel like it creates more skin

being shown so it's a little cooler

and it kinda gives that capri type of look.

And then to make my waistline actually look a little bit higher

I've just tucked in one side of my shirt. That way

it's not tucked in all away around. I don't look

too tucked in or too formal, too put together. It just looks really

casual. So cute little daytime look

I would wear this out to lunch with girlfriends,

running errands, obviously around the house with my babes.

And...ya, just hanging out. Just really casual

and simple for the summer and I really like this color of denim.

I think that it's perfect.

So..let's take this day look into a night look.

Alright and then for date night, I'm just going to keep it really simple

with a white top. I do like that this

ties around the waist. I think that it brings attention to

our jeans and it just keeps it fresh on top, but

again, like I said, the attention we want it on the jeans

because they fit so well.

And then with the pants, we just un-cuff them

to give them a night look and added a little bit of a

higher heel with a strappy sandal that I just think screams sexy.

So, night look, doesn't have to be hard.

Just transition it really quickly. And again,

its all about the focus is on the jeans. I just really

finding a pair of jeans that fit you really well

will go a long way with your outfit. So..

What do you guys think?

Alright, so big thank you to Style & Co for sending me all these goodies

and these perfect jeans. Now I have the perfect jeans

for any kind of occasion going on in the summer and

I don't have to compromise my style just because I am a busy mom.

So thanks you guys so much for watching! Please leave

down in the comments below what you like the best.

What piece of clothing that you love the most.

And we will see you guys next time on CarlieStylez. Thanks for watching!

Bye you guys!
