Essence of Murli 09-11-2017 - Duration: 9:03.

Om Shanti !

Today's Murli Date Is 9th November 2017

Essence: Sweet children, make effort and become full of all virtues.

Imbibe divine virtues.

Check to see what defects you still have within you and to what extent you have become soul conscious.

Question: What constant deep concern should the intellects of serviceable children have at this time?

Answer: How to change human beings into deities and how to tell everyone the biographies of Lakshmi and Narayan and Rama and Sita.

You children should have this constant deep concern in you.

Become one who can adopt many forms, change your dress into one of tip-top fashion and go to a Lakshmi and Narayan Temple.

Make a special appointment to see the priests and trustees of the temple there and then ask them tactfully:

You have built this temple to them, but do you know their biography?

Speak to them tactfully and give them the introduction.

( If we go wearing white BK dress, they may or may not appreciate, hence Baba says serve them tactfully, even if it means wearing non BK dress )

Song: Our pilgrimage is unique.

Essence for dharna: 1. Maintain the intoxication of knowledge. ( By being intoxicated by divine knowledge we acquire godly virtues)

Keep a stage of equanimity in praise and defamation. Don't allow your stage to fluctuate.

2. Give everyone the Father's introduction and tell them the real biography of Lakshmi and Narayan.

Become benevolent, benefit everyone and continue to move forward by following shrimat.

Blessing: May you be an intense effort-maker who overcomes any mountain of problems with the flying stage.

The speed of time constantly continues to move forward at a fast speed.

Time never stops; even if someone wants to stop time, it doesn't stop.

Time is the creation and you are the creators and therefore,

no matter what the adverse situations are or whatever mountains of problems come, those who fly will never stop.

If something that is flying stops anywhere other than its destination, there would be an accident

So you children have to become intense effort -makers and continue to fly in the flying stage.

Never get tired or stop.

( By saying above Baba is filling us with strength, encouraging us ... all this to seek help from Baba and enhance our power of endurance)

Slogan: Making the atmosphere powerful with the attitude of remembrance is true service of the mind.

To the sweetest, beloved, long-lost and now-found children, love, remembrance and good morning from the Mother, the Father, BapDada.

The spiritual Father says namaste to the spiritual children.

We spiritual children convey to spiritual Baapdada, our love our remembrance, our good morning & our namaste namaste

Om Shanti !

The Sun's Health Benefits Go Way Beyond Vitamin D - Duration: 10:51.

The Suns Health Benefits Go Way Beyond Vitamin D

By John Naish

Guest writer for Wake Up World

We humans desire to soak up some solar rays.

But no, we keep being told: the threat of skin cancer makes this potentially lethal.

Now, however, scientists are discovering the positive side to sun-worshipping: statistically,

getting a good dose of sunshine makes us live longer, healthier and happier lives.

Emerging research indicates that sunlight may protect us against a wide range of lethal

or disabling conditions, such as obesity, heart attacks, strokes, asthma, and multiple

sclerosis.

Sunshine has also been shown to boost our libidos, cognition and general mood.

But this is not simply about vitamin D, which our skin manufactures from sunlight.

While the sunshine vitamin helps us build healthy bones and teeth and may protect

against bowel cancer, new research indicates that solar rays also benefit our bodies in

multiple other ways.

Scientists now believe, for example, that exposure to sun prompts our bodies to produce

nitric oxide, a chemical that helps protect our cardiovascular system, and the feel-good

brain chemical, serotonin.

Lack of Sun as Bad as Smoking

A major clue about sunshines benefits has emerged from a study of nearly 30,000 Swedish

women whose sunbathing habits have been followed for 20 years.

In March this year, investigators from the world-renowned Karolinska Institute in Stockholm

concluded that avoiding the sun is actually as bad for your health as smoking.

The study, published in the Journal of Internal Medicine, found that 1.5 women in 100 who

reported they had the highest exposure to ultraviolet light (by sunbathing up to once

a day) were found to have died during the two decades, compared with three in 100 for

women who said they had avoided sunbathing.

The avid sunbathers had a significantly lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease

and other conditions that were not related to cancer, the researchers explains.

Dr Pelle Lindqvist, the epidemiologist who led the study, says the research also found

that:

Non-smokers who avoided the sun had a life expectancy similar to smokers in the highest

sun exposure group, indicating that avoiding the sun is a risk factor for death of a similar

magnitude to smoking.

Older People Need More Dr Richard Weller, senior lecturer in dermatology

at Edinburgh University, last year published a report in the journal Maturitas warning

that older people in particular need to get into the sun more.

He explains:

Advice on healthy sun exposure needs to be reconsidered The older population are

particularly sun-deprived as shown by low blood levels of vitamin D and lack of outdoor

activity.

He adds that there is a reduction in cardiovascular disease and deaths from all causes with increased

sun exposure, meaning sunlight actually offers a protective effect.

Two years ago, Dr Wellers team established that exposure to sunlight may lower peoples

blood pressure and thus cut their risk of heart attack and stroke and this benefit

has nothing to do with vitamin D. Instead, it is due to the fact that when our skin is

exposed to the sun, a compound called nitric oxide is released in our blood vessels which

in turn lowers blood pressure by causing blood vessels to widen.

Dr Weller told Good Health:

It also appears that sunlight alters the way that our genes behave.

Last year, Cambridge University scientists showed that the expression of 28 per cent

of our entire genetic make-up varies from season to season.

Sunshine Helps Reduce Inflammation The Cambridge investigators Dr. Weller referred

to reported in the journal Nature Communications that, in winter, our bodies naturally increase

the activity of inflammatory immune-system genes to combat infectious bugs and

in summer, increase the activity of anti-inflammatory genes.

Chronic inflammation is linked to modern epidemics such as heart attacks, diabetes and cancer.

Such inflammation results from our immune systems fighting infectious invaders.

But this comes at a cost, as the tissue damage caused by long-term inflammation can itself

cause disease.

However, the Cambridge research indicates that sunlight may prompt our bodies to switch

down the inflammatory response.

Says Dr Weller:

As well as nitric oxide and gene expression, I think there will be other factors that we

have yet to discover

There is a correlation between more sun and less disease in a variety of conditions such

as multiple sclerosis and atherosclerosis, where arteries are clogged by fatty substances

known as atheroma.

However, the causal link is yet to be shown.

Sun Exposure May Help You Avoid Gaining Excess Weight

Scientists are discovering sunlight may even help us keep slim and healthy, according to

studies by the Universities of Southampton and Edinburgh which kept mice on high-fat

diets while they were exposed to the spectrum of ultraviolet light found in sunshine.

The results show that ultraviolet radiation may suppress the development of obesity and

the symptoms of type 2 diabetes.

These benefits were again independent of the effects of vitamin D, the researchers reported

in the journal Diabetes in 2014.

Instead they believe the effects are again the result of sun exposure boosting the production

of nitric oxide.

The suggestion is that, without enough nitric oxide in the bloodstream, insulin may not

work properly, allowing diabetes to set in.

Sun Lowers Risk of Stroke Other research indicates that being exposed

to plentiful sunlight may reduce our risk of stroke.

Epidemiologists have used weather-satellite records to determine how much sunlight more

than 16,000 people living across the U.S. individually experienced over a period of

15 years.

The University of Alabama analysis revealed that the more sunshine someone experienced,

the lower their risk of stroke.

The study, published in the journal Annals of Neurology in 2013, called for further research

into this link.

Sunshine Improves Mood, Decreases Depression

We all tend to feel happier when the sun is out, and this is not simply a matter of morale.

Research shows that the main wavelength of light in sunlight stimulates sensors in our

retina which regulate our body clock.

This in turn regulates the amount of melatonin, the sleep hormone, that our bodies release.

Studies such as a report by Swedens Uppsala University last month in the journal PLOS

One, show disruption of melatonin levels is linked to depression, as well as Alzheimers

and Parkinsons disease.

Sunlight also lifts mens libidos, according to an Austrian study of 2,299 men published

in 2010.

Hormone experts at the University of Gratz discovered that the mens levels of the

male sex hormone testosterone peak in the month of August (during the northern summer),

and fall in the winter, hitting their lowest levels in March.

Sun Can Help Improve Childrens Eyesight

Lack of sunlight has physical effects on children, too.

A study by the Australian Research Councils Centre of Excellence in Vision Science in

2009 found those who spend most of their time indoors have a significantly increased incidence

of high myopia.

The researchers believe that the neurotransmitter dopamine is responsible.

It is known to inhibit the excessive eyeball growth that causes myopia.

Sunshine also causes the retina to release more dopamine.

May Help You Live Longer Could such physical benefits actually outweigh

the risk of developing skin cancer?

The official NHS guidance clearly says not.

There is no safe or healthy way to get a tan from sunlight, it states, adding

that we should try to stay in the shade between 11am and 3pm from March to October, to cover

up with suitable clothing and sunglasses during these times, and to use at least SPF15 sunscreen.

Dr Weller ackowledges that people who live in sunnier climates have more skin cancer,

because excessive solar radiation can mutate DNA and generates free radicals that may cause

cancers to develop.

But, he argues, we have no proof that sunlight shortens life.

In fact, the epidemiology suggests that overall, people who have more sunlight tend

to live longer, even though their population gets more skin cancer.

Dr Weller is supported by Martin Feelisch, the professor of experimental medicine at

Southampton University who has also been studying sunshines role in keeping us healthy in

particular the effect of sunlight-stimulated nitric oxide to protect our cardiovascular

systems by lowering blood pressure.

Professor Feelisch warns that avoiding sunlight or constantly using sunblock could be a new

risk factor for heart disease and more people die from heart disease than skin cancer.

We believe current public health advice, which is dominated by concerns of skin cancer,

needs to be carefully reassessed Its time to look at the balance of risk for skin

cancer and cardiovascular disease.

Meanwhile, Dr Lindqvist, the author of the new Swedish study, says:

We know in our population, there are three big lifestyle factors [that endanger health]:

smoking, being overweight, and inactivity.

Now we know there is a fourth avoiding sun exposure.

We should also be reconsidering our use of sunscreen, as it may block the benefits of

sunshine, Dr Lindqvist says.

If youre using it to be out longer in the sun, youre using it in the wrong manner.

However, if you are stuck on a boat and have to be out, its probably better to have

sunscreen than not to have it.

Thanks to our new scientific appreciation of sun, the balance does seem to need redressing

towards enjoying it in healthy moderation.

Video Marketing - How to Get More Views on YouTube - Duration: 1:25.

So this morning's video tip comes to you courtesy of a little issue I faced today.

So, I went to my car needing to go somewhere and see that I've got two

tyres that are down...And I need to fix it immediately, otherwise I can't go

anywhere! So, the first thing I do is: I google

where are there's a garage that's open nearby to me where I can get it sorted. Well folks,

when you are creating video content, the same thing is true for people who are

searching on YouTube. They are looking for "something". They want information, they

want advice, they want tips, they want fixes, they want something that will

allow them to get a better or a different result or they want to be

entertained. BUT...They are looking for 'something'. And the question is - when you

are creating video content: how clear is it that you are solving a problem of

fixing something or making life better for those who find that content? If that

message is not a hundred percent clear, chances are you won't get anywhere near

the reaction that you want. Ao it pays to be very very clear that you are a solver

of problems, you are the provider of value, you are somewhere where it's worth

spending time energy and effort watching that video. That's my tip for today

Did the Apostle Paul really write all his letters? - Duration: 5:58.

(music)

- Especially university students,

but not just university students,

as they study, as they encounter critical scholarship

for the first time they discover that

critical scholars typically

think that not all of Paul's letters were written by him.

So there's 13 letters in critical scholarship.

The pastoral epistles,

that's 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus.

Ephesians, 2 Thessalonians, Colossians.

Many scholars think that those letters aren't authentic.

That is, they think they're not written by Paul.

Another word for that is they think

they're pseudepigraphical, that is, falsely written.

As evangelicals we don't accept that view,

and why don't we accept it,

I want to talk about that in a minute.

But why do they even think, why would anyone think

that some of the letters aren't written by Paul?

And what they look at is the style,

the way the letters are written

can be a little different.

The pastorals are different from Romans,

you may notice that even reading in English.

And then the content is different,

and the pastoral epistles, that's 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus,

the pastoral epistles are a good example of that

where you have a lot of emphasis on church order,

you know, elders, and deacons.

The kind of things that Paul doesn't talk about

in his other letters.

So those are sort of the two big issues that cause people

to doubt some of the letters are written by Paul.

So I don't think that's convincing.

I don't think it's convincing at all,

and here's several reasons.

First, let's just start with something really simple.

All the letters claim to be written by Paul.

So if the letters aren't truly written by Paul,

isn't that deceptive?

I would say it is.

That it's deceptive to claim

to write in someone else's name,

that is, Paul.

So there's an issue here of the truthfulness of Scripture,

if these letters weren't truly written by Paul.

But, secondly, some might say well

that was just accepted in that culture.

But secondly I think we see it wasn't

accepted in that culture.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:2,

Paul specifically says that he rejects letters

falsely written in his name.

So, Paul speaks against it specifically,

and then he ends that letter in 3:17

by saying here's my distinguishing mark,

Paul took the pen at that point and wrote his name,

here's my distinguishing mark on all the letters.

So, clearly, Paul is concerned

about authenticity of the letters.

The third thing we can say about the Pastorals themselves,

why are they a little different,

why is the style a little different?

Well, I think we can say

the situation that Paul is writing to,

what Paul writes about is determined in part

by the situation.

The Pastorals are written near the end of Paul's life,

he's thinking about the future,

he's thinking about the future of the church,

who's going to be the leaders,

what the structure of the church is going to be.

So, I think that accounts for the different content,

and it's even possible, when you think of style,

it's even possible that Paul employed a secretary.

That was quite common in the ancient world

so that could account for the style.

Here's another thing we can say that's quite interesting.

Did the early church, after the time of Paul,

were they concerned about these things at all?

So in the second century,

there was a book written called "The Acts of Paul and Thecla."

"The Acts of Paul and Thecla" are part of

the New Testament Apocrypha.

The person who wrote this book was a Bishop,

he was a leader in the church,

but they defrocked him and they removed him

from his Bishopric, they demoted him from office,

because he claimed that Paul wrote it,

he wrote in Paul's name,

but isn't it interesting that the early church

didn't say, well that's fine, you can write

in someone's name, they actually removed him

from office for doing this.

And we see another early writer, Serapion

who writes about the false, falsely letters and documents

ascribed to Peter and he says we reject,

we reject false and inauthentic letters and documents.

So, we have the self-claim of the Scriptures themselves,

right, these letter's claim to be written by Paul,

and then I've given you significant evidence that

the early church, Paul himself, and the early church

writers were concerned about authenticity,

that they thought that writing in someone else's name

was deceptive.

The last thing I want to say,

is that pseudepigraphical letters,

falsely written letters,

letters written in someone else's name,

they were never accepted as authoritative,

as authoritative Scripture.

So, I think we have good reasons for saying,

despite the critical views, we have good reason

for having confidence that Paul wrote all the letters

ascribed to him and I think that's true

of the entire New Testament.

We have authentic documents, Praise the Lord!
