How to Crochet Doll Shoes Part 2 - Duration: 20:06.

Hey everyone! I'm Lizfaerie and today I'm going to show you how to finish making these

doll shoes. This is the second part of my doll shoes tutorial. If you missed that tutorial,

click the link on the screen to find it, because you'll need the basic sneakers I made in that

video to make these. In this part of the tutorial, I'm going to show you how to make the tongue

of the sneakers, how to make laces for your shoes, and how to make a cap for the toe of

the shoe, like I did for these sneakers. This pattern is easy to customize to any size doll.

But I'll be making mine to fit these 2 different dolls, my realistic body doll, and my basic

doll.

Some other things you'll need for this tutorial are:

A crochet hook. You can use any size you like, I'm going to use a size E (3.5 mm)

A pair of scissors A yarn needle to sew the tongue to the shoe,

and to sew the laces in You'll need some yarn to make the tongue and

the toe cap of the shoe. You should use the same yarn you used to make the upper part

of the shoe to make the tongue, and the same color you used to make the sole of the shoe

to make the toe cap. I used worsted weight "Cherry Red" from Red Heart Soft to make

the tongue of the shoes, and I used "White" from Caron Simply Soft for the toe cap. But

you can use any color you like. If you want, you could make laces for your

shoes out of crochet thread. For my laces, I'll be using some White crochet thread from

Auntie Lydia brand. If you'd like a written pattern for these

doll shoes, you can find one in my Ravelry store. The link is in the description below.

So I'm going to make the tongue of the shoe next. To do this, I'm going to create a foundation

chain the width I want the tongue of the shoe to be. For my foundation, I'm just going to

chain 2, but you can chain as many as you want if you made a larger size; for this one,

I chained 4 for the foundation. So I'm going to make a slip knot, then chain 2. Next I'm

going to chain 1, and that's going to count as the 1st stitch of the row, so I'll mark

it with my bobby pin. Then I'm going to single crochet in the 3rd chain from the hook. And

that's going to complete my row, since I just had 2 chains for the foundation. If you made

a larger size, though, single crochet into the remaining chains of the foundation. Next

I'm going to chain 1 for the first stitch of the next row. Then I'm going to single

crochet in the 3rd stitch from the hook. And that's going to end the row. Again, if you

made a larger size, single crochet into the remaining stitches in the row. Keep making

more rows like that until the tongue reaches the right length. I did 8 rows total to make

the tongue. When you get to the right length, chain 1 to end the row. Cut off a long tail,

and use that tail to sew the tongue to the front of the shoe.

Alright, now the tongue is sewn on. Next I'm going to make the laces. I'm going to use

some crochet thread to do this. I've cut some crochet thread to be way longer than I need

for the laces, so that I can trim the ends when I'm done. This'll just make it easier

to tie the shoes. So I'm just going to use my yarn needle to sew the laces through the

front of the shoe. There's lots of ways you could do this, I'm just going to do it by

crossing the laces. I'm going to start by making one long stitch under the tongue of

the shoe. So I'm going to insert my needle through the inside of the shoe, under the

tongue on one side. And I'm going to leave a long tail on this side, so that I can do

the other side later. Then put the needle back through to the inside of the shoe, on

the other side of the tongue. Bring the needle out, and cross it over to the other side.

Then place I t through the inside of the shoe again, along the side at the bottom of the

tongue, just a little higher that where I already placed this stitch. I'm also going

to make sure to leave the other side of the laces out, so it doesn't get stuck inside

the shoe. so it makes a zigzag line. I'm going to do this 2 more times, to create a zigzag

line up to the top of the shoe with one side of the lace. So cross over, and stitch a little

higher than the last stitch, through the other side. Try to space out your stitches evenly,

so that it looks a little neater. And then cross over, and stitch a little higher through

the other side. And make sure your last stitch is at the very top on one side. And then I'm

going to do the same thing with the other lace on the opposite sides from the stitches

I've already placed, to fill in the stitches on the other side of the tongue. I'm just

going to cross over each of those stitches, and push the needle through the inside of

the shoe. And if it doesn't look perfectly clean, feel free to undo some of those stitches,

and redo them again, just to make sure that you get that clean cross shape.

When I'm done, I'm going to use my hook to tighten the laces. Then I'm going to tie the

laces in a shoelace knot. And when I'm done fixing the knot, I'll trim each side, so they're

about the same length.

If you want to, you can make a toe cap for the shoe. To do that, create a slip knot,

and chain 3. And that 3rd chain is going to count as the 1st stitch of the row, so I'm

going to mark it with my bobby pin. Then I'm going to single crochet in the 3rd chain from

the hook. Then single crochet 4 more times in that chain, so that I have a total of 5

stitches. To start the next row, I'm going to chain

1 for the 1st stitch and single crochet in the 3rd stitch from

the hook. Then I'm going to increase the stitch I just worked into. So single crochet again

into that stitch. And then increase the next 2 stitches of the row. Alright, I've finished

with 3 increases. Now just single crochet in the last stitch of the row.

This is going to be my last row of increase. If you made a a larger size, keep adding rows

of 3 increase per row until you get to the size you want for the toe of the shoe; keep

repeating that pattern of chaining 1 for the 1st stitch. Then increase by the next number.

In the last row, I increased every stitch in the middle. In the next row, you would

increase every 2nd stitch in the middle, then in the next row every 3rd stitch in the middle,

then every 4th stitch in the middle, and so on. Until you reach the last stitch of the

row, then single crochet again in that stitch. Keep adding rows like that until you reach

the size you want for the toe of the shoe. But I'm not going to do that for mine.

Next, add rows of single crochet until you reach the length you want for the toe of the

shoe. I single crocheted for 3 more rows. At the end of the last row, chain 1 to end

the row. Cut off a long tail of yarn, and use that tail to sew the toe cap onto the

toe of the shoe. Then sew in the ends.

And now the shoes are finished. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you did, give it

Top 10 Animals With Insane Powers - Duration: 6:08.

Animals are great.

Some of them are quite similar to us but others are so strange that you question if were even

from the same planet.

They have abilities that if humans had - wed be superheroes.

Here are the very best.

My name is Danny Burke and this is the top 10 Animals With Supernatural Powers.

Starting off at number 10 we have the Dung Beetle.

This is the strongest animal on the planet.

No, really - pound for pound it actually is.

The Dung Beetle can pull objects over 1,000 times its own body weight.

To put that in perspective, thats the equivalent of a human pulling The Space Shuttle - this

space shuttle.

Could you pull that?

I mean, Id have a go.

The Dung Beetle is obviously doing this on a much smaller scale but we cant doubt how

insanely strong it is for a creature of its size.

Next up at number 9 we have the Sea Cucumber.

These things may look gross, I get it, but they also have some incredible abilities.

For me, the most insane one is that they can liquify themself.

Thats right.

If a Sea Cucumber is feeling threatened, it will turn the collagen in its tissue from

a solid form to a liquid form.

It will then pour itself into a hole and then turn solid again to wedge itself in so that

the predator cant get it.

I think I already have this ability if you wake me up before 6 AM.

At number 8 now we have the Alpine Ibex.

This animal can quite literally walk up walls.

Their split hooves and rubber like soles are perfect for gripping almost vertical rock

faces on which most animals would fall to their deaths.

Theres even been footage of them climbing up human made dams to lick the salt on the

stones there.

It almost doesnt even look real.

Starting off at number 7 we have Tardigrades.

These things are probably the toughest things on planet Earth.

Theres also known as water bears but theyre a lot smaller than bears, tiny in fact - they

measure just 0.5 mm long or about 0.02 inches.

They have been found everywhere - from the highest mountains to the deepest seas.

From mud volcanoes to tropical rainforests and even the barren wasteland of the Antarctic.

They can survive extreme temperatures, extreme pressures, air deprivation, radiation, dehydration

and starvation that would normally kill any other living thing.

Scientists wanted to push their limits so they strapped some to a rocket and sent them

in to space.

Amazingly, some of them came back and were totally fine.

At number 6 now we have the Horned Lizard.

This North American lizard has a crazy way of scaring off predators - it squirts blood

from its eyes.

This might sound horrific to us but its perfectly normal for them - they build up blood pressure

in their heads by rupturing tiny vessels around their eyelids and then squirting it out.

Firstly, this shocks and confuses the predator but it also tastes foul to dog and cat predators.

Apparently it doesnt taste as bad for humans - but that doesnt mean it tastes good so,

please don't go round trying to catch Horned Lizards.

Moving on to number 5 now we have the Lyre Bird.

Spelt like that - it doesnt lie, I don't think.

The lyre bird is very good at imitating sounds it hears and replicating them in order to

attract a mate.

The males will usually imitate other birds he hears around him but will sometimes incorporate

other sounds into its song.

Sounds it hears from humans, you honestly have to hear this to believe it.

(CLIP 1:51)

Next up at number 4 we have The Hairy Frog.

Thats its real name, youll know why when you see what it looks like.

The frog is amazing because it breaks its own bones and then forces them out of its

toe pads to produce claws.

It usually does this when it feels threatened by a predator so scientists think its a defense

mechanism.

Whats crazy is that it literally rips its skin open to force the bones out and then

heals the wound after.

If youre wondering where youve heard this before, its wolverine.

Yeah, the hairy frog is the real life wolverine.

Next up at number 3 we have the Flea.

These are the greatest jumpers on the planet.

Scientists have measured flees jumping 220 times their own body length and 150 times

their own height.

To put that in perspective, that would be like you jumping over the golden gate bridge

for a distance of 8 olympic swimming pools.

Can you picture that?

Its crazy, thats why fleas are regarded as the best jumpers on the planet.

At number 2 now we have the Mantis Shrimp.

These creatures are said to have the worlds fastest punch.

When faced with danger, they contract their arm and build up energy before releasing it

all at once.

The resulting punch travels at 50mph.

It travels so fast that it boils the water in front of it - the bubbles then collapse

and release huge amounts of energy.

This 3 part punch combo is more than enough to stun or even kill creatures that are much

bigger than the humble Mantis Shrimp …

And finally at number 1 we have the Scarlet Jellyfish.

This is also known as the immortal jellyfish - thats not a joke name either, it really

does look like this creature can live forever.

When they reach a certain stage of their life, the jellyfish revert back to a polyp which

is the juvenile form of a jellyfish.

Then, they will spend a few months growing back into a fresh new adult jellyfish.

Scientists have observed one jellyfish performing this cycle 12 times.

We arent sure if there is a limit it to it, we don't fully understand how it works yet,

but many people are wondering if we can apply this to humans one day!

What do you think of that?

Do you think we can one day unlock these animals genetic secrets and apply them to humans?

Is that something we should even do?

Let me know your thoughts - my name is Danny Burke, thanks for watching as always and Ill

see you all in the next video.

[ENG titles] Больше чем пожарка / обзор 42075 LEGO Technic First Responder - Duration: 12:22.

Look, apparently there are two different sets

You know what I like the most about this stickers?

Why is it here?!

All in all, it's something very absurd

So, as you've already understood

Hello everyone! Welcome to another review of 2018 novelty, set 42075

It's called "First Responder"

There are a little more than 500 pieces here

And in the end we have this densely builded car

There are almost no blank spaces

At first I wanted to destroy this car in all ways

But after some thinking I understood that it's really a good one

And today I'll tell why

Let's go!

It's a SUV with 49 mm wheels, which we saw on mac

Red color, stickers in theme of fire service

There are white stripes, some dark grey color here and there

A winch in front, flashers on top

There are also footrests or even force rocker panel

If you look from side, you'll see that the back is a little raised

Yes, that's how it is because of suspension

But we'll talk about this later

This model has openable hood, and you wouldn't expect that it opens forward

Doors open like this

And compartment with fire equipment

Axe and fire extinguisher from one side

And cones from another

On top there is deepening

And there is lantern

On top there is also a gear for wheel rotation

In cabin there are seats made of blue panels

It also has steering wheel

And opposing engine under the hood

It's two-cylinder

A winch in the front, it stretches out like this

And with rotating the gear it goes back

It looks well-made

I like that almost everything here is in red

Now let's what's waiting us inside the box

Traditional heading "Spit and mess about"

Or "mess about" firstly and then "spit"

In the set there are two manuals

You don't have to download anything, you can build two models right away

Little set of stickers

You know what I like the most about this kind of stickers?

This pieces that are usually places on rock panels

Aluminum, aluminum sheets which are usually used in SUVs

Let's move to pieces

By the way, here is a list of pieces

In the second book there is the list of all pieces

Let's start with pieces in new colors and with just new pieces

Blue connector

Why is blue? I don't know

Looks like they just needed to put this piece in set and they did it

A piece from last ralley car's frame

This connector is in red color now

I also put here lots of connectors

Not to mention another connectors, but just look how many of axle connectors is here

Enough for styling

And all of them are red

We won't pass in review with this connector

And will bring our attention to functional pieces

Surprisingly, there is a differential for the small car like this

It was a common thing in LEGO Technic that cars with similar size had rear linkage only on one wheel

Because of no differential

Look, there are one rail, a cardan, a shock absorber

Surprising amount of gears for this type of car

And a hook

This connectorsare useful for building perpendicular constructions

For example, for frames

Finding four of this in the small set was a pleasant surprise

49 mm wheels with black discs

A pile of liftarms

The main color here is red

One of the few sets where you can find this black frames

The "bone" pieces

Set of panels

I think that's it

Once again, it's nice to see a lot of red pieces

Meaning there is no "rainbow" as we could see in other sets

Good set of pieces, for this price even great

Before reviewing all the functions

I want to go back to the model I reviewed before

I have to say that I made a mistake in it

I put this black beam on top, when it had to be on the bottom

Now it's builded correctly, container freely lies on rear sides and part of the frame

It lies normally, doesn't slide from there

But the car doesn't look beterr from this

The axle sticks out as it was before

Besides, when we can clamp rear suspension, wheels start to rub against the body

That's why my opimion about the last set doesn't change

And now let's move to this model

Now we'll mess about with this car

I've already showed you that hood opens forward

That's unexpected, I expected it to open as usual

Doors to cabin and compartments

There are fire extinguisher, axe, cones

And cones stand on this interesting ales

You would expect them to fall if you rotate the car, but they don't because of this pins

Fallings of cones are excluded

Seats are made of blue panels, not fixed as usual

Excusably for the small car like this

Nothings opens from behind

This deepening confuses me

Why didn't they make a normal roof?

It wasn't necessary to make this and lose lots of space

Very unwarrantable use of this rounded connectors

Simple winch in the front, stretches out and goes back like this

Suspension is simply arranged

With connectors and liftarms this black frame is attached to frame

This two models have only one similarity - suspension

This way suspension is compressed

If you wish, you can compress it separately from each sides

Connectors which are abutted with frame are suspension limiters

Good model

I'd like to remember set 8081 which I reviewed half-year ago

Apparently two different models with 590 and 513 pieces

Where are the pieces and why is the left one bigger?

Firstly, panels and wheels are bigger

Here all pieces are smaller

But it's pretty detailed

There are flashers all over the car, and they count as pieces too

There are also nice details as axe, fire extinguisher and cones

Really, if you empty this model and make it into similar to this black one

It'll probaly make it into 400 pieces

Rear suspensions are almost the same, except two shock absorber

There is no front suspension unlike in this model, but it has a winch

Also there is a working transmission, gear, torque

Steering system is arranged similarly

Steering system is here

Here is a gear that connects to rail

With this gear from gear box with round hole the rotation transmits right here

And from there it transmits to the roof, to steering system

Rotation from piston engine is transmitted from differential, gear, cardan

Here from gears

And goes through this gear right to the engine

All in all, they're constructed by the same principle

Just one of them is bigger

If complaints about this car look reasonable

E.g. rear suspension, terrible cabin

But here I don't actually want to complain because of the size

I really like this model

What you can do if you have panels like this but shorter

For example, you can make doors here

And turn this model into a complete family SUV

Where there will be back doors and seats and openable baggage door

I think it'll look nice

It's imposible to get here a fully-working suspension for this size

And it's a big advantage that they made this kind of suspension

And I can't say it's a flaw

Unlike in this model, where this suspension is something absurd

It's called "Fire Racer"

It clear that front axle is wider than rear one

Narrow hood

With uncovered front wheels

We see the winch and low suspension

Cabin without any windscreens

[and I remember Salvador Dali...] Cabin without any windscreens

[and I remember Salvador Dali...] All in all, it's something absurd

But they called it "Fire racer"

An if that is "First Responder", that this one is "the fastest responder"

If they wouldn't experiment with the theme it would be a good hot rod or racing car

But we've got this... Fire car from Dubai

I think it's just a show-car in fire colors

So, as I said, I really liked the amount of red pieces

All pieces in this set are red [Well, almost all of them :)]

There are also lots of red connectors, different types of beams

Generally, everything to build in red

And despite the absurd functions like two-cylindered opposing engine

Rear suspension in this terrible state

Considering size of the model and amount of pieces, I don't thinl I should complain about anything

Because of this I recomment this set not only to 9-years-old, but to younger children too

You can gift this even to 7-years-old

Or even to a younger child, if you're ready to build this with him

In addition, red set of pieces, lots of different connectors

All this makes this set a good purchase for older audience, including adults

As you can say. I liked this set

And I recommend it not only to adults for resources, but to children too (younger than stated on box)

In spite of simplified functions, the model is well-made

It has a good set of functions and pieces

Good bye everyone!

[it's a maniac's car]

[Resource value of set/on pieces] [Play value] [Technical difficulty] [Overall rating]

If I ever got arrested?

She'd probably be the first person I call.

Life Drawing in a Week with Alvin Mark - Duration: 5:29.

Hi, I've gotten many inquiries about my day.

– how do I spend my day how'd I get so much are squeezed into that week.

So I've decided to make a video out of it.

I'm going to use some time right now and illustrate to you how I spend the

7 days of my entire week and of course since I don't have a studio at this point,

I travel all over the place to make art.

I just got done at the Hui Ann Clan and I'm heading to Make It Share It for a figure drawing session.

The place is just about 500 meters down so thank goodness for that.

Welcome to Geylang!

I'm here at 540 Sims Ave

and there is a short pose session run by Make It Share It.

It's right here.

This means Monday nights.

So we are here inside Tanjong Pagar Community Club.

In one of the drawing classrooms.

It's Monday night and we have Jaya again to model for us - how awesome!

Hi, I'm Alvin Mark.

We're here at the design and animation Department of Singapore Polytechnic.

It's Tuesday night and it's time for some short poses.

A couple of us are here at the Federation of the Arts Societies in Singapore.

We're in this little container and we are getting ready for our portrait session.

It's 7.29pm, the model just arrived here we go!

It's getting really crowded as you can see...

...and on Fridays, they are my freer days because there are no drawing sessions around.

So I call them administrative days.

like everyone else I do my groceries, I do my shopping,

I go to museums for special exhibits,

I also use the time to stock up on art supplies.

Saturdays are event days.

There are so many things happening on this little red dot (on weekends).

This one here you see is a gathering with urban sketchers.

So it's always good to hang around people that do art in Singapore,

just to get an idea of what's happening in art scene in the region.

and of course in between I would be doodling and sketching while I'm having my coffee,

or while having a meal or when I'm even commuting on the train or bus.

This is roughly what I go through every single week.

Thanks for tuning in.

I hope you have gained some insight as to how I spend my entire week.

Tune in to the next episode!

This is Alvin Mark... ciao ciao!

What's The Key To Your Heart And What Women Want In Men Dating Advice 2018 For Guys And Girls - Duration: 4:14.

I think people get into a really tricky situation. We knew we were going to be

good friends. It would intrigue me more. Like feel the

pit of your stomach drop out. It would be amazing. Cray Z Dates for new generation

of Daters. Do you keep in contact someone with dated? I do not keep in contact. It's

so strange. I feel like it's always a little messy. W weren't really compatible. But I

don't feel like it's a good idea . Don't do it. They just didn't work out. That was

my mistake. It just gets a little complicated. It kind of just took its

course. We just didn't end up vibing very well. There are people I briefly dated.

that I occasionally keep in contact with. They have an ex that they end up friends

with. I actually texted him today. He ended up dating some other girl we both

tried to keep in contact. They end up friends. We catch up and he's asking me how my

life is now. We knew we were gonna be good friends. For some people it works out. There's

still a history there. The only reason I keep in touch with one of my exes

because he really was my best friend for so many years. It didn't work out for me. I learned

the hard way. I just would find that too hard. I like to leave it alone. I like

to let sleeping dogs with people I've dated

What's the key to your heart?

About something normal. I'm not a flowers person. Girls like food. If somebody

bought me frozen yogurt. I'm not a chocolate person. You're gonna feed me

you know I'm gonna give you the time of day. If you're having a conversation with someone

that is not necessarily ordinary. Good intellectual conversation. I won't even

think about it. I like being able to share my opinion and I'd like to hear your

opinion. With respect. OIt would intrigue me more. And then you'll like lock eyes. You

can tell. Out of the blue. It's probably gonna sound cheesy in a little bit. Like

feel the pit of your stomach drop out. It's a certain kind of person. Warm heart.

That is gonna like wow me away. Somebody really great. Having that moment

of like pure chemistry with someone. That's my favorite. Or so it would be

like let's run away somewhere. That would be amazing. It's really indescribable.

What was the best date you've ever had? Part One

Stephanie

I met him in Sweden and then he came to visit me in New York and he was like oh

I missed you so much we need to run away to paradise he's

said lets go to Thailand and I was like yeah why not

because it sounds totally crazy and romantic and everybody wants that

fairytale romance and I was like I was never like that girl that had any that I

never was about romance or had any notions about it was never into that . And

then I was like wow all these wild crazy adventures that's super romantic . yeah so

we're going kayaking in Thailand's and you go through these submerge caves and

then he just like it just opens up and there's like splendid mangrove forests

in the middle of the island and it's like it's like it's open so you go

through the caves and then you see all these mangroves and then they're all

these little mudskippers coming in out of the sand and these little crabs and

was just so cute. Alaska

It was my sophomore year of high school and we'd gone to the

carnival there was an amusement park kind of thing in town and this is when I

lived in Texas and I was really I was really out of high school and yeah i was

just i love thrill rides I love rollercoasters I love all that

kind of stuff and I love summer and of course you know you put the two together

and it's you know especially for two teenagers in high school it's so really

like it's a really fun time. Yeah it was great you got all that cliche like you

know hold my hand on the roller coaster whatever is the cliche you know all

those stuff so I can win you something you know that sort of very innocent you

know teenage summer love story kind of thing that was definitely one of the

best days that I've ever been on Cray Z Dates like share subscribe.
