How to Grow Pineapple at Home in Pot with Update | Grow Pineapple From tops//GREEN PLANTS - Duration: 4:32.

welcome back to my channel

today i'm going to show you how to grow pineapple at home

it's a dwarf variety pineapple crown separated from a fresh pineapple

after separated the crown from the fresh fruit we must leave it to dry for two or three days

because pineapples are very susceptible to rot

so it's important to dry out the cut end before planting

now i'm just removing some of the lower leaves on the pineapple stalk

now pineapple stalk is ready to root

next

i just take a glass of fresh water

then place the stalk into the water

and also

change fresh water for every three days

wait for two weeks to root the pineapple stalk

after two weeks pineapple stalk rooted successfully

next

potting the rooted stalk in proper soil mixture

soil mixture for pineapple is coco peat or peat moss ,sand and garden soil

and also add some natural compost

soil mixture must be well drained

after planting

water the pineapple stalk just enough to moisten the soil

next

keep it in full sun to partially shaded site or warm bright light place

after 2 months

we need to re-pot the plant because it will begin growing new leaves from the center

watering to this plant

water once or twice a week and avoid over watering to prevent root rot

after six months i just re pot this pineapple plant in large pot

after ten months

my pineapple plant produced fruit

fertilize organic fertilizer every 2 or 3 months during the growing period

it's a dwarf variety plant and it will produce fruit within a year in warm places or hot weather
