I would probably dedicate myself to my school,
I would finish university but I would be very unhappy.

I would be a lawyer,
on a full time job.
And...
I would earn much money,
but I would be a sad person.
If the meaning of life is to be happy that would not be a good thing.
Before doing Parkour I didn't really have a life.
It's like playing or reading...
But,
I didn't really have anything.
I didn't have convictions, or any thing that passionated me.
I can't imagine my life without Parkour.
Because,
who I am now
is completely different than the person I was 7 years ago.

Volvo Trucks – Improving productivity with self-steering sugar-cane harvest truck - Duration: 1:39.
Brazil grows more sugar cane than any other country in the world.
However, every year about four per cent of the crop is lost
as young plants are run over
and the soil is compacted by trucks and tractors.
Today we have studies
showing that productivity losses in the sugar-cane plantation
if you trample the planted rows are in the order of 10 tons per hectare.
Now Volvo Trucks is testing a self-steering truck
that makes it possible to reduce the losses and provide bigger harvests.
The technology works by uploading maps
of the planted crop rows into the truck's electronic system.
Using these maps to navigate,
the truck avoids trampling the planted rows of sugar cane.
The position is maintained using accurate GPS data.
Highly sensitive gyroscopes ensure that not just the front wheels
but the entire truck is controlled with great precision.
Doing exactly the same thing manually again and again
while keeping the high level of precision throughout a complete shift
is very difficult.
Today the driver is facing the challenge
of maintaining the same speed as the harvester
while at the same time keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings
and also concentrating on steering his truck with the required precision.
Volvo's solution opens the door to higher productivity,
underlining the important role of the driver
and promoting a better working environment
for a safer and more efficient execution.

Reaching your customers is a very delicious subject. We all are sales orientated people and meet a lot off customers and sell marketing & sales services.
Often people ask us how to reach the right target group and how is it possible? Should I go to the trade shows, direct marketing, TV ads, etc.? What should I do?
Should I hire more sales people who could reach more people? There's a huge problem in all of these questions: "How can I?"
If you really want to succeed in this new way of marketing, where customers' attention is elsewhere than in you, you should start asking how can our customers find us when they need us the most?
How can we serve customers when they ask us questions and when they need us the most?
This whole way of coming up with the right question matters and defines how you can reach your customers, or how your customers can find you?
Try it. You might be surprised. Create a diagram, on to the other side list ways how you can be found and on the other side how your customers can find you. It's fun to check is there a lot of differences or not.

What Are Lake Pigments and How to Make Them - Duration: 7:02.
What are lake pigments? I am fully aware that most of you might not find that to be the
most riveting topic but stick around and you might just become just as obsessed as i am
with the process of making them. In this video i will explain what lake pigments
are and how to make them in the briefest and least painful way that I can . They're my
new favourite thing and I'm going to be making a bunch of them in my upcoming videos which
I'm super excited about. lake pigments are just like regular pigments
however instead of the pigment being made my grinding down a material- lake pigments
are made by precipitating a dye with a metallic salt. They're precipitated, which means they
are being turned into a solid from a solution, with the use of a strong alkali. You can basically
make all kinds of paint from anything with a colour. I think that's pretty sweet.
Now let me break that down a little bit using red cabbage as an example. There are three
components or ingredients that go into making a lake pigment. You need a dye, a metallic
salt, and an alkali
Let's start with dyes. Dyes are usually aqueous solutions that contain colour which can then
be applied to a material. This is the case in textile dyeing where the colour bonds onto
a fabric using a mordant. Dyes can be extracted from materials either through aqueous extraction
or solvent extraction. That's a sciencey way of saying that you can either boil them or
that you can leave them to stand in alcohol or another solvent. Btw-That's how tinctures
are made. Usually boiling is the way to go for me- its much safer and much faster.
Now for the metallic salt. The metallic salt that I'm using is alum a.k.a hydrated potassium
aluminium sulfate. This is the most common, cheap, and easy to find. Alum is used as a
mordant and fixative in textile dying amongst other things . I got mine from a local spice
shop.Not all dyes will grab onto alum so it'll be a matter of experimenting. Other than alum
you can also use these metallic salts.The alkali that we are going to use is Washing
soda (sodium carbonate). You can also use potash but washing soda was the easiest to
get because i made it from baking powder. I should mention at this point that natural
Lake pigments have a problem with being too fugitive (this means that light fades them)
as this is a common characteristic of dyes that come from organic sources such as plants.
This is something that ill be testing out on over the next few months and we'll see
how big of a problem this really is and how we can remedy it. Now to turn this gorgeous
red cabbage dye into a powder pigment. I poured the cooled dye into a jar and I then got two
glasses and poured some hot water into them. I dissolved some washing soda into one cup,
and some alum in another cup. I stirred till both were dissolved then i added the alum
solution to my dye. The dye fizzes and this is usually when you would notice colour change.
Since red cabbage is a natural PH indicator, it turned blue as it became basic. I let it
settle for a few hours and then i grabbed a coffee filter and funnel and poured the
solution into it. This will filter out the pigment which will then be dried and ground. After
a few hours the solution was done being filtered and i ended up with a thick blue paste.
I opened up the filter, spread it on a plaster bat and levelled it out so it could dry faster.
It's actually a really pretty shade of blue- which is very difficult to make from organic
materials. When making lake pigments there are lots of pleasant surprises. After 3 days
the paste was dry and had turned into hard dry pieces. I notice that the colour had turned
more towards the green side than the blue side. I peeled off the pieces into a coffee
grinder, ground them, sifted the powder, and ended up with a pile of red cabbage lake pigment.
Success! There's a few things that you can now do with this pigment. You can mix it with
gum Arabic, honey and glycerin to make oil paints. Egg yolk to make tempera. Gum tragacanth
, water, and chalk to make soft pastels. Or you can do what i do and that is to make oil
paint by mulling it with an oil or alkyd. If you want to see me turning this red cabbage
lake pigment into an oil paint and then testing how it performs- i will be posting a video
about that next week. I will also be making paint from, and testing, a whole bunch of
