Just wanted to say thanks so much Curology for making this video possible but now lets
get into this video.
Starting us off at number 10 no one takes you seriously.
Teenagers are expected to act and behave like adults but they are still treated like kids.
People almost always think that teenagers are up to no good or that they aren't capable
of being independent or take on real responsibility.
Adults think that teenagers can't make sensible decisions so they don't really take teenagers
seriously.
Next up number 9 we have, Peer Pressure.
Growing up as a teenager you always feel the need to just fit in, and by fitting in sometimes
its easy to just do what everyone else is doing before who wants to be the outcast.
Well later on in life I realize that being an outcast just means being different , unique
just being yourself.
But as a teenager you don't think like that.
Honestly I wish I can go back to being a teenager and do it all over again because I wouldn't
fall to peer pressure I would do my own things.
I know I got to a point where I wouldn't even wear clothes that I liked I just wore
clothes to look like my friends or people who I thought were my friends.
Number 8 we have Hormones.
Yes, that's right Health class did not lie.
Your body is going to be changing both mentally and physically so you have to prepare yourself
for that.
As if school wasn't hard enough, you are going to have to deal with hitting puberty.
Your hormones will make you feel weird, you will probably get some pimples as your body
adjusts and you will most likely experience teenage angst.
Just remember, this is only a phase.
Number 7, so we mentioned it before how Acne has played a role in my life and I've notice
a lot of people are affected by Acne.
A lot of people feel insecure and self-conscious when these little guys start to pop up on
your face.
Pimples like to make an appearance right before picture day, prom or your first date.
Don't worry though you will most likely grow out of it
and
you shouldn't feel bad for getting acne.
Everyone goes through it
and it's just a part of growing up.
Teen Break-ups makes it into
number 6.
Breakups in high-school are almost always full of drama and as a teenager, they are
even harder to handle.
You have a million other things that are playing with your emotions like your parents, school
work, friends and your job.
So you definitely don't need a break up to make you even more upset.
But they do happen you just need to remember to stay positive and realize that sometimes
people just grow apart or they aren't meant to be together.
Next up in at number 5 we have huge expectations.
Teachers and parents are constantly pressuring you to do well in school so that you can get
into a good college.
They pressure you to make a decision for what you want to do with the rest of your life.
You are scared of failing anything especially your SAT's because you don't want to fall
behind.
There is so much pressure placed on you to get into a good college and if you don't,
you feel like you won't have a future.
Number 4 brings us to lack of privacy.
Parents are always watching.
They probably go through your internet history to make sure you aren't on any sketchy or
bad websites.
They want to know where you are going, who you are hanging out with and what you've
done in the day.
Sometimes it can be over bearing but they are just worried about you and they want you
to make the right choices.
Moving into number 3 is fake friends.
Don't get me wrong, friends are great to have but there are some "friends" that
will only use or abuse you.
Sometimes you will find yourself in a situation where this "friend" is only deceiving
you for some sick joke or they are using you for something.
It is hard to know who your true friends are at this age and you will most likely lose
a lot of friends from high school and it will hurt.
It sucks but when you become an adult, you'll know who you can trust and who you can't.
Punching into number 2 is bullying.
Teenagers can be so cruel and harsh towards one another.
Although bullying can happen at any age, it is usually intensified and more dramatic as
a teenager.
Teenagers get bullied at school and even online now so it is really hard to escape it.
Just make sure that you speak to someone if you're being bullied and don't be afraid
to get help.
Finally at number 1 sorry parents but I have to say the hardest part about being a teenager
has to be the parents.
I know for me I hated rules, and my parents had a ton of rules for me.
They are just so boring I wasn't allowed to do anything.
Also my parents are just so much older than me and I feel like sometimes they don't
understand me.
We live in two different generations.
Also with parents I feel like they can be way over protective.
Well there you guys have it
