Moving that fast is not something you see in daily life.
But you could sort of experience it second hand.
Watching the screen, I thought the sense of speed was really good.
Mr. Sakai's voice seemed just perfect for Rei.
I was able to take it in without any sense of incongruity.
People reading it now,
...and building new memories of it is...
In other words, even with young people reading it today,
...they'll still love the character of Rei Fukai, whom I created 20 years ago.
That, in and of itself, felt really fresh to me.
And I thought, maybe I'd created a good character here.
That made me happy.
Back when I was writing Yukikaze,
...there was a recorded collection of F-15
I used to listen to things like that.
And also, radio transmissions during mock air battles.
When they talk, their breathing sounds really labored.
So, there's all this G-force on them, it's incredible.
It just made me think of how much stress they're under.
I remember writing Yukikaze thinking of things like that.
There aren't any other vehicles like these, you know?
Ships can remain afloat, even if they lose their power.
Cars, of course, aren't life threatening,
...even if their engines stall.
But planes are an exception, they plummet without power.
That sort of danger, I think, is what makes them beautiful.
I thought that seeing it take form was really incredible. I was impressed.
That was what made the biggest impact on me today.

I'm Rehi Alaganar, and I'm a Senior Strategist
at Virgin Hyperloop One.
So my team is the Business Strategy team.
There's about ten of us.
We are cross-functional.
So what we really do is we kind of like liaise
between the engineers and the government clients
and strategic partners.
So we look at the product with kind of a business lens.
About a third of our team
has an engineering background
which is really important to kind of
understand technical limitations.
A third of our team has worked
in the government sector before,
which is also important
to understand how these projects
traditionally get deployed.
Governments are a very unique beast.
They look at risk in a very different way.
And so it's important for us to kind of understand
how our product can fit in to like the traditional
procurement process, which can vary
across different countries.
We're trying to re-invent transportation,
but like not the wheel, not project deployment
or financing.
About six months ago, I helped start a women's group
at Hyperloop One.
It's called Ladies Who Loop.
We've had a few kind of small events last year.
We invited a couple of speakers
from outside the company to come in
and like they are bad-ass women in different fields,
they came in and had a chat with us
about sort of struggles
they've faced in their careers
and how they overcame them.
We've had a ton of support for that initiative
from Josh Giegel and Rob Lloyd,
so that's been really positive.

This is one of the reasons why it is important to understand our individual experiences in
the hope to better understand ourselves.
In this video, I'm going to share with you a list of different types of empaths and a
small description to help you understand what kind of an empath you may be.

EMOTIONALLY RECEPTIVE EMPATH
Did you know that almost all empaths are extremely receptive of external emotional states?
Well yes, and this can result in physically and emotionally feeling other people's emotions
before they are expressed.
The emotional empath is one of the most common types of empaths.
If you are this type, you will easily pick up the emotions of others around you and feel
the effects of those emotions as if they were yours.
The emotional empath will deeply experience the feelings of others in their own emotional
body.
For example, an emotional empath can become deeply sad around another individual who is
experiencing sadness.
For emotional empaths, it is important to learn to differentiate between your own emotions
and those of others.
In this way, you can use your ability to help others without becoming drained.
2.
PHYSICALLY RECEPTIVE EMPATH
Are you a physically receptive empath?
Well, the real truth is that many empaths seem to be receptive to the physical pains
and illnesses of other people.
The pain can manifest in the empath's own body (ability which has proven to be extremely
useful in healing).
Those with this type of empathy can pick up on the energy of other people's bodies.
They intuitively know what ails another person.
Many people with this type of empathy become healers either in the conventional medical
professions or in alternative ones.
Physical empaths may 'feel' an awareness in their physical body when treating someone.
They may also 'see' blockages in a person's energy field that they sense need treating.
If you are a medical empath, you may pick up on symptoms from others and feel them in
your own body.
Taking on the physical symptoms of others may lead to health problems.
Some people with chronic illnesses such as fibromyalgia or autoimmune diseases might
find it helps to strengthen their own energetic field,
so that they can turn this ability off when necessary.
Taking some training in a form of healing can also help to hone this ability.
3.
CLAIRCOGNIZANT EMPATH
These empaths types have the ability to know if something needs to be done or if a statement
of a person's intentions is true or misleading, without any rational reasoning.
Claircognizant empaths have the ability to know if they should do something or not.
If you are a claircognizant or intuitive empath, you will pick up information from other people
simply by being around them.
