10 UNCOMMON DE_CACHE TRICKS - Duration: 6:11.

If you want to see some crazy De_Cache tricks then you are in the right place.

Hey guys, NadeKing here.

As some of you requested uncommon tricks on Cache.

Here you have it.

In today's video I show you 10 uncommon tricks on De_Cache.

Also, I am giving away this AWP Asimov, just like the video and make sure you have joined

with our Supergeneral steam group..

I will pick random person from the Steam group, who will get this AWP Asimov, in couple of

days and if you are in the group you can represent the supergeneral tag.

Steam group link is in the video description.

Let's go!

Let's start off with a natural wallhack next to squeaky.

Just stand about here, crouch and play around till your really right side of the screen

will have a wallhack.

You can see anyone who is in this close corner of A main.

This isn't something gamebreaking, but this is awful bug and in certain scenarios may

give you a huge advantage.

For example when you are retaking site as a CT or bomb gets dropped A main and someone

may camp this corner.

The only thing is, you can't see really far with this wallhack, otherwise it would be huge.

Also, let me know in the right top corner of the video did you know this wallhack before

or not.

CT side middle.

Cool, easy and fast way to molly boost spot.

Basically you have to hug this wall and stay about here, when you aim at the right top

corner of this doorframe.

Then do not move your crosshair, run towards boost spot and runthrow the molotov.

It can be done really fast and this is easy to line up.

But just in case, make sure to try it out offline before testing it

in your really important match.

A bombsite, forklift spot.

This Zeus wallbang has been around couple of months now and they are not even trying

to fix it.

You can do it in different places on different maps.

But I find it really useful right here.

If you can hear there are enemies A main flash once or twice A main and at least one enemy

will cover himself behind this box like this.

All you have to do is, take a position like this, aim about here

and shoot the zeus.

This will be the easiest frag of your life.

Make sure you are not too close to the wall, otherwise it won't work, you have to have

a right distance.

I recommend you to test it offline with bots, before

trying it in your matches.

A bombsite again, almost the same spot.

Take position like this.

Aim like shown, of course you can play around with it.. but if you start shooting you have

great chances to hit someone entering A main.

Great way to test your luck once in a while.

Supergeneral.

Next to T spawn.

You can make a lot of different two man boosts here.

Most of them are uncommon, because they are really situational, but still, it's better

when you know these, because there are some rounds where bomb gets dropped,

you want to save your weapon or you just want to play a really slow round.

Be creative fam.

Next to T spawn again, boost.

If you want to be special, you can make a two man tower on the boost spot itself.

This can help you to guard vents.

If enemies are often counter boosting to vents then this is the easy way to suprise them.

Try it out.

A bombsite.

This trick has been around on my channel, but I find it still uncommon as people are

trying to boost to Shroud spot using different risky ways to do it.

But you can do it like this..

Let your teammate crouch next to squeaky door, open the door yourself and climb up.

Let your teammate close the door, like nothing happened.

If you do it quickly in the beginning of the round you will get there fast enough and you

do not have to risk anything or throw the smokes to cover you up.

Easy as that.

Highway.

You definitely will have a situation when you retake A from highway, I will show you

really easy, yet so effective smoke.

Hug this wall.

Line these posts up like this, aim at the cross and then left click throw.

Here you have a great and easy A main smoke, which leaves no gaps either side.

Too easy to remember, so this should get more common nowadays.

Alright, middle.

This trick has also been around on my channel, but most of you still don't know it.

If you look up from checkers you can see those windows.

You can actually very successfully popflash checkers from middle.

Like this.

There are different lineups you can work on your own, depends if you want

to have a self popflash or you want to flash for your teammate.

And the last tip for this video.

This is probably the easiest trick of this video.

But still, I see a lot of people info peeking highway like this, although they know there

may be AWP player watching them and most likely they hold this angle.

In my opinion a lot safer way to info peek from quad is by jumping like this.

I know some pros tend to hold this jumping angle as well, but this is rather next level.

You in your casual matchmaking games can use this jump peek pretty safely and get some

valuable info to clutch the round.

So, if you enjoyed the video make sure to hit the subscribe button and the like button.

If you collect 10 000 likes to this video.

I will continue jumping and do 10 000 jumps like this in-game.

Thanks for watching!

Now its right time to watch the next video.

All you guys want me to do is go to school,

run track, and set a good example for the other girls.

- When did that become a bad thing?

- Anissa, her older sister, is very motherly.

Like she just wants to make sure that

she doesn't go through the things that she went through

and Anissa is just very protective over her.

- You not only put yourselves in danger

but also the entire school.

- I would definitely say that Black Lightning

is overprotective.

New 2018 SANDPIPER 3250IK HT Island Kitchen Rear Entertainment Fifth Wheel RV Camper Colorado - Duration: 8:46.

hello folks and welcome to the great outdoors RV company my name is Tom and

today we're going to be going over the Sandpiper half-ton towable fifth wheel

the 3250IK

alright folks if you're looking for a fifth wheel right around 32 feet and

half-ton towable you definitely need to come out and check out the Sandpiper

this one with the dry weight is right around eighty three hundred pounds with

a GVWR of ten thousand pounds the freshwater takes about forty three

gallons with your gray water being about sixty and your black being right around

thirty something special that comes with this particular coach is going to be the

four-point electric auto leveling system so if you're not too familiar with how

this system works obviously it works off the electric but it's got a simple

control panel really easy to operate you just hit Auto level the coach will self

level itself in about one or two minutes and then of course it's got auto truck

memory so it's going to remember the hitch height that your truck was at when

you disconnected and it'll go right back to that height when you go to reconnect

and go home for us to end your camping day unfortunately okay your command

center on this coach is located right here you'll notice it comes in fully

equipped you have a black tank flush a fresh fresh tank water fill a city water

fill you'll have an adapter here for an outside shower both hot and cold water

features all your dump valves are gonna be here as well

and of course you're gonna have a water filtration system on board as well one

of the nice thing that you'll see on this coach too is it's got a ten gallon

water heater on board both gas and electric direct spark ignition so all

you have to do is go inside and flip on a switch so this coach is gonna have a

14-foot awning it's gonna have the adjustable elbow so you can fix the

slope of the of the canvas if you need to what I also like is that you're gonna

have these outside speakers and right here you're gonna have a blue neon light

that's gonna light up when these are on which is kind of a nice little accent

feature also it's got a spray port on the passenger side of the camper so this

is great if you go to a campsite and there's a picnic table that's on your

site you need to spray it off for whatever reason it's all grimy and dirty

you can spray that off spray off the kids dogs whatever before going inside

the coach

well welcome inside to 3250ik grab a cup of coffee and i'll go ahead and show you

some demonstrations and some nice features in this particular coach

one of the things that you're going to notice in this coach is they went with

the Thomas Paine furniture addition in the coaches brings out a nice leather

looking feel super comfortable this one's got a little Rico recliner swivel

going both recliners will do the same thing you'll notice that the couch too

is also going to turn into a bed motion one of the things I wanted to point out

with that sandpipers doing is they're actually doing the pulldown roll down

shades now which is a nice little feature in all of their coaches their

cabinets they're still going to be continued to do a vinyl wrap on here the

insulation on these guys are really awesome so you have about an hour 36 in

the floor and a ceiling are 10 on the sidewalls and what you're also going to

be very important to use of consumers the construction so this has got a an

all aluminum substructure and they also do the vacuum bonding on the sidewalls

well the nice features on this coach 2 is going to be the fireplace and in

today it's cold in Colorado we're gonna warm up a little bit as we're

demonstrating this coach nice little heat going on and let's not forget if

you don't want to watch TV folks check out this feature

how that is awesome the 3250 I K stands for Island kitchen

and you'll notice a big Island kitchen here in this particular coach you'll

notice that it's gonna come with a two bowl stainless steel sink stainless

steel faucet all stainless steel appliances residential microwave 8 cubic

foot gas electric refrigerator the medic brand and of course you're gonna have

your corian countertops the four seat dinette is going to offer you some

spacious room in here you're gonna have some storage on all the seats just lift

up the seat here you'll ya be able to gain access to that and this table is

kind of neat because this little guy raises up like this so you can put

newspapers maybe some coloring books in there for the kids and then of course

this little part just kind of extends out for you to give you some additional

seating room as well one of the things that you're going to notice in this

coach is all LED lighting in here the lighting decor is beautiful in here to

include the lighting fixtures that you have over the sink I don't want to pass

the ceiling fan option in here because this is a great touch to have so if you

go up in the mountains in the summertime you can definitely use that in

conjunction with your AC to keep the cool very cool for you your lighting

system is gonna be all located right here in this cabinet as you come into

the door you'll notice you have your awning porch ceiling and hallway lights

right here you'll have your water pump your water heater your heated holding

tanks which is a good thing to have on a coach like this you have a fully

enclosed underbelly by the way and of course you can monitor all of your

levels of water with these buttons and you can just hit a button here you'll

notice that everything is empty in this coach obviously what's brand-new it just

came in so there's nothing in the tanks but your command center is located right

here and then of course Sam Piper is doing a cool thing it's called a

OneTouch one control panel on here so you can click on my RV it'll tell you

how to do certain things on this coach troubleshooting videos owner's manual

and what you can also do at this particular monitor too is you can also

go ahead and auto level just from the inside of the coach let's check out the

bathroom

okay thank you for joining me inside the bathroom in the Sandpiper as you'll

notice the radius longer shower that you have here it's brewing spacious with the

glass enclosure you're also gonna have a Dometic foot flush toilet right here

you'll have a sink with a countertop made out of Formica which is nice and

you'll have a nice viewing mirror so when you get up in the morning you can

make sure you're looking top-notch before you head out for the day this

bathroom features a jack-and-jill so this little entryway will take you right

into the bedroom here and you'll notice that you have a nice big spacious

wardrobe slide out here tons of Brewers in this guy

and one of the things I want to point out too is that this coach is wired for

a second AC so you got a 50 amp service on board if you wanted to put a second

AC in here you could already do that for you

this one obviously came from the factory with just the one AC living in Colorado

that's what works best that we find out you'll have a nice comfortable I think

believe this is a Denver mattress in here so you can lay in here the bed is

super comfy alright well thank you for joining me on the Sandpiper 3250 I know

you're gonna love this coach if you're looking for something right around 32

feet with a 10,000 pounds GVWR you definitely need to come out and check

out the Sandpiper if you liked this video give me a thumbs up if you have

any questions on this particular coach or anything else in my inventory you can

definitely pick up the phone give me a call my name is Tom

Logan Paul to Take a Break from Vlogging | Daily Celebrity News | Splash TV - Duration: 1:06.

So Logan Paul got into some trouble and he has responded by saying there will be no vlog

for now.

Just days after the YouTube star got slammed for posting a graphic video the body of an

alleged suicide victim in a forest in Japan, he revealed he will no be releasing videos

for the time being.

His full statement appeared on his Twitter account and it was short and simple:

Taking time to reflect.

No vlog for now.

See you soon.

The social media personality boats a following of 15 million viewers on his YouTube page,

and also has endorsement deals with HBO and Pepsi deleted the 15-minute clip entitled,

We found a dead boy in the Japanese Suicide Forest.

He initially apologized for his posting, saying he didn't do it to get views but rather

in hopes that he could make a positive ripple on the internet.

You Should Get Involved In Local Politics - ft. Alexander Mell-Taylor - Duration: 2:37.

Hello world. We're "Live for my Couch." Today, I wanted to stress the importance

of you becoming involved in local government. If during this video you have

a question or just want to tell me what the kids are saying these days, reach out

to me @therealConSpot on Twitter Instagram using the #LFMCqus. We

are all trying to answer the question of how we can make a difference in the

world. It's a hard thing to contemplate, and right now I know that most of us

feel overwhelmed by what's happening in the world. There's a myriad of activism

out there devoted to getting you to call your representatives, to tweet out a

certain hashtag, or to donate money to X nonprofit, newspaper, or think tank,

which you should totally still do. Perhaps even to ConSpot's patreon page

linked in the description. But these methods, while important, don't make us

feel like we are making much progress on a given issue. Often calling your

representatives feels like placing a tiny insignificant drop into a vast and

insurmountable ocean. Well I have a solution for you. It's called getting

involved in your local government. Wherever you happen to live is run not

just by your state legislatures, and delegates, but by a half dozen local

institutions. Whether that be your Neighborhood Association, condoboard,

Town Council etcetera, etcetera. And these groups regularly hold public meetings and

solicit public input. And guess what, no one ever goes. You enter any public

meeting and rarely do you ever surpass a handful of citizens, most of which have

business on the agenda. Rarely do such meetings gain actually widespread

interest. Which means that if you go to these meetings, and participate in them,

your voice has an outsized impact on the policy being discussed. From mundane

zoning and noise complaints to larger than life resolutions condoning or

condemning important pieces of legislation, these governing bodies have

a profound impact on your day-to-day experience, and the barrier to

influencing them is ridiculously low. Unfortunately there's no singular

database for all local positions, so you're gonna have to google it, then use

google again to find out when the next public meeting is. Then go to said meeting.

Congratulations you are participating in local government. Don't be afraid to

speak up, and give your leaders a piece of your mind. Now rinse and repeat for

all of your friends. For those of you still here, if you have any additional

thoughts on this issue I'd love to hear from you, post them below or reach out to

me @therealConSpot on Twitter or Instagram, using

the #LFMCqus. That's all for today. This video is made possible by

donors over at patreon. If you like what you see, consider becoming a patron. A

link is in the description. If you have an idea for a show or want to do one

yourself, reach out to me or ConSpot via social media. I'm Alex Mell-Taylor and

this has been an episode of "Live from my Couch." Someone we'll see you next week.

S.M.A.R.T. Goals from Shape It Up - Duration: 4:16.

You've heard of the acronym S.M.A.R.T. goals...I have some smart goals of my own

that are gonna help you stay on track for the New Year. Stay tuned ...

Hi! Welcome back to Shape It Up! I am Nicole and today we are talking

about my S.M.A.R.T. Goals.

You know or might have heard of the typical S.M.A.R.T Goals acronym.

S.M.A.R.T Goals usually being specific, measurable, achievable,

relevant and timely.

Those are excellent goals but that is not what I'm talking about today.

My S.M.A.R.T Goals are...

Say it every day.

Every morning I want you to get up and

you don't have to look in the mirror but I want you to repeat your goals in your head.

So whatever your goals are I want you constantly to be thinking about them.

Think about not just what they are but what you're getting out of those goals.

So, if you're trying to lose weight what things do you get to do once you lose that weight?

Do you get to go shopping and pick out a nice new pair of pants?

Do you get to go rock climbing or skiing?

Or do different activities that you're not used to doing?

Do you get to play with your kids and not feel out of breath running around and playing with them?

Do you have more energy? Do you have more relations with your

husband or spouse?

All these things are the benefits of what you get out of your goals.

So repeat them daily.

Manage your goals.

Put your goals and how you're gonna achieve them into a calendar

Make them an appointment that way you're gonna stick to it.

If your goal is to do a pull-up then every day you need to

have a plan as to how you're gonna attack that goal and get those pull-ups in.

So make it an appointment in your calendar a non-negotiable you cannot change it appointment.

Act.

Very, very, very important... you have to act on your goals.

If not they're...what's the saying... they're just wishes right?

Make sure you take action.

Again that goes back to the "M" I just said is managing your goals.

Make it in your calendar and do it.

Don't...don't slough it off.

You're not going to achieve your goals unless act upon them.

Realize.

Realize your goals may take you longer than you anticipated.

Sometimes you get into a goal and things happen.

You may get sick. Something may happen in the family.

Lots of things go on and that's okay life isn't always smooth sailing all the time.

I like to call them speed bumps you got to get over the speed bumps.

and figure out how you're going to navigate around them and achieve your goals.

So sometimes you need to realize it may take you a little longer than you anticipated

and that's okay.

Just keep going after that goal.

Tell someone about your goal.

If you have been following me for a while ...back in July or August of 2017

I declared to everyone who was watching my channel that I was going to do a fitness competition in May of 2018.

Now, you don't have to get a YouTube channel and announce it to the world

If you want to go for it but you don't have to do it to that extreme...

but tell people that are going to respect your goal.

Who are gonna listen to you and bring you up instead of tear you down.

There are some people that may laugh at your goal...

and that's okay.

I have lots of people looking at me cross-eyed going...

"why would you want to do a fitness competition??"...

and that's okay because that's not their goal.

That's my goal.

Whenever you have a goal, just keep in mind who you're telling.

Make sure they're supportive or if you want to announce it to the world like I did...

just make sure you have the strength to kind of take what's gonna come back at you.

Make sure you tell people what your goal is

So those are my S.M.A.R.T.Goals for you today.

I'd love to hear what your goals are or if you have a plan for your goals.

Go ahead and put it in the comments section below.

So thank you so much for taking time out of your day to come and hang out with me.

Remember to Get Fit. Be Fierce and Have No Limits!

Give this video a "like" if you liked it and share it with a friend.

Have a great day and

I'll see you in the next Shape It Up video.

My Top Reads of 2017! - Duration: 12:57.

Hi everyone, it's Lauren. A happy New Year to you! I hope you've started 2018 well

This is my favorite time of year to be on booktube, and to watch booktube

because everybody is uploading their favorite books that they read in 2017.

I love watching those videos and I also love making them myself because I love

reviewing what I read, looking back at all the fantastic things I've read and

being able to recommend them again to you! So I have 10 books in this video

just by accident, it's not necessarily a top 10 and I'm not going to do them in

any kind of countdown or any particular order, it's just going to be

random, just hit you with them, surprise you! So the first book that I'm going to

show to you is actually the last book that I finished and that is Home Fire

by Kamila Shamsie. I read this because it was shortlisted as part of the Costa

Novel Awards. It got to the top 4, it didn't win, but this was my favorite book

on the shortlist. This book is a modern-day retelling of the Greek

tragedy Antigone and it is about a family of British Muslims. So our main

characters in here are Isma and her younger sister Aneeka and Aneeka's twin

brother Parvaiz. All three of them are living under the shadow of their father

having been a suspected terrorist in the Middle East and he had died on his way

to Guantanamo Bay and at the opening of this book Parvaiz has recently left the

UK to join Isis in Syria, so it covers a whole range of topics, mostly about kind

of being British and being Muslim and how you 'should' portray your

identity and your culture and kind of what it means to be of a different

culture in Britain at this time. It also looks at what would drive someone to

join a terrorist organization such as Isis, but although that is a main part of

the plot it doesn't just focus on that it also looks at Britishness in terms of

the class system and on top of all those really interesting topics that it

examines, it's such an enjoyable book and I really love the writing style, I got

completely swept up with the characters and really invested in it so I would

really highly recommend, this whether you're interested in the topics, whether

you're interested in Antigone or whether you just want a really enjoyable read!

Keeping to the theme of literary prizes there are two more books on this list

which were shortlisted for the Bailey's Women's Prize for Fiction back in the

spring. They featured on my Top Reads of 2017 So Far video and they're here again

in my Top Reads of 2017 at the end. I absolutely

loved these two books, the first of them is Do Not Say We Have Nothing by

Madeleine Thien. This is about a young girl Marie who is Canadian Chinese and one

day her mother and her taken another young girl called Ai Ming who is Chinese

and fleeing the Tiananmen Square massacre which has happened in China and

through this meeting Marie and Ai Ming talk about their family histories and

Marie learns about her father and Ai Ming's father's relationship and

through this family history we see a viewpoint of the Chinese Communist

revolution or the kind of the after-effects of that and there is so

much in this book. I found it so beautiful it talks about beauty, beauty of language,

beauty of music and numbers and patterns but then also about families and a

person's presence in their children's lives and the kind of the after-effects

of that throughout the generations. This is an absolute triumph of a book she has

so much in here it's so accomplished and she covers so many different topics so

well but on top of that it's also an enjoyable read as I said before. Enjoyability

in reading something is very important to me. You get a lot of books

which are shortlisted for literary prizes or win literary prizes and it's

more about the accomplishment of the book in my opinion than whether it's

enjoyable to actually read it, and all of these books I'm recommending to you

today I absolutely loved the actual experience of reading as well as being

impressed by is the structure of the boosk themselves. So the second one on the

shortlist, which I do not have a copy of because I think it's still with my mum I

think I've leant it to her, is Stay With Me by Ayobami Adebayo. This book is

about a couple in Nigeria who are unable to have a child and so the husband's

family encouraged him to take a second wife and that's all I really want to say

about this book because it takes you in so many interesting different places and

the plot twists and turns in ways that you wouldn't have expected it's so

wonderfully written and weaves in themes of family and motherhood and culture and

storytelling and I absolutely loved it. If you'd like to hear a little bit more

about the Women's Prize shortlist from this year and I did a video with

Jen Campbell where we discussed all six books in quite a lot of detail, so if you'd

like to hear a bit more about that I'll link that there and in the description

box below. It really was an amazing short list I thought

all six books were fantastic. These two were my favorites, but I would

recommend you watch that if you haven't already. And what's a segue that was

because my next book on this list is by Jen Campbell and that is The Beginning

of the World in the Middle of the Night. This is a collection of short stories

and I'm always amazed at how many different ideas and topics Jen manages

to cram into such short stories. Things that she covers in here for example

include ghosts, death, the afterlife, body image, women, growing up and adolescence

and love and fairy tales, a strong theme of fairy tales throughout. All of

the stories are quite different in their style and kind of what they're talking

about but it does really feel like a coherent collection Iand just so

imaginative and original. Next we have Mend the Living by Maylis de Kerangal

which I think is called The Heart in the US. This is an absolutely

beautiful book which I read on holiday it's about a heart essentially, it's a

heart transplant, but what we get is the journey between the boy who owns the

heart, Simon, him being in an accident and then the whole journey that this

heart goes on from him the different people it touches up until the point of

the recipient of the heart. When I first heard about this book I almost thought

this would be a book from the heart's perspective or something because I

thought it would be a journey from person to person but it is a little bit

more than that and we get perspectives from lots of different people from Simon

himself, Simon's mother and the doctors and the nurses which are working on

Simon, the person who is facilitating the transplant, the doctors that perform it

and then finally the woman who's going to receive the heart, but they all kind

of jump in and out and it has this beautiful feeling like you're getting on

with this character for a portion of their journey and then you're kind of

jumping off and allowing them to continue with their story and then going

along with somebody else but you still feel like you understood that character

fully and it's such a beautiful pondering on life and what life is and

about death and how that is part of our everyday lives.

On a similar theme, a similar medical theme is When Breath Becomes Air by Paul

Kalanithi and this book is a memoir. Paul Kalanithi was a brain surgeon who

realized that he was suffering from terminal lung cancer and this book is

part autobiography of his life leading up to that point and then part

rumination on medicine and philosophy and life and kind of as his own life is

coming to a close. What's really great about this book is that Paul Kalanithi

can write so well, he actually wanted to write his whole life and studied

English at university. So the book itself reads beautifully, it's so interesting

and heartbreaking to hear his perspective as his life draws to a

close and also his thoughts on life in general and kind of what he wanted to do

I avoided this book for some time because I thought it might be a little

bit of a morbid read and I only actually picked it up because it was a pick for a

book club that I'm part of, but I'm really glad that I did read it and if

you're feeling a little bit like 'Do I want to read someone's memoir when they

knew they were dying?' I would still recommend it because it's quite

uplifting and joyful about life and at the same time. I seem to be putting these

books into pairs, so continuing down that theme I have another two books both on

gender. This year I did want to read a lot more books on feminism and Gender

Studies and I did read a few, not as many as I wanted to and some of them maybe

not as successfully as these tw,o but the ones I have in my hand right now are

absolutely fantastic reads. The first one is The Descent of Man by Grayson Perry. I

really enjoyed this because having read a lot of books on feminism from a

woman's perspective and being a woman myself, it was really refreshing to

hear from a man's perspective and what it's like to grow up with the pressures

of masculinity as they are in current society and it's a very short book, this

was a companion I think or at least inspired from a program that Grayson

Perry was doing for the television and so there's lots of different

perspectives in here and different people that he was interviewing at the

time and it's really arguing that we need a new definition of what

masculinity is because there is really no place for that old-fashioned caveman

masculinity in modern-day society but because boys are encouraged into a

certain mold when they're growing up then they have all these masculine

attributes which there really is no place for and no outlet for, so very, very

interesting ,very short read. I'll recommend this everyone, it's been on my

boyfriend's nightstand for a long while because I want him to read it and the

other book on gender I absolutely loved I don't think this

will come as a surprise to anyone with The Gender Games by Juno Dawson. Juno

Dawson is a transgender women and it does what it says on the tin, this book, it

says 'the problem with men and women from someone who has been both' and I really

loved this book because Juno's voice is I was going to say authentic, of course her

voice is authentic, but it's just so friendly and companionable and when

you're reading along its colloquial but still reads so well and she gets all

of her points and her arguments across in a way that is so easy for anyone to

understand, even if you've never really read about gender before and what this

book does really well which really impressed me is that it's part

autobiography and part a social study really and she talks to lots of

different people in her life and gets different opinions but the balance works

so well in this book and it doesn't feel too much one or the other so you're

getting her own perspective but she's very clear when it is her own

perspective and then we're talking about general things in the world as well so a

very interesting very helpful very useful book and a great one to start

with. Actually I think if you're new to gender studies I think both of these would

be fantastic for for beginners in reading around this topic. Very quickly

another book that featured in my Top Books of 2017 So Far back in June and I

read this right at the beginning of last year and that is the Essex Serpent by

Sarah Perry. This book, I've said it before but this book I didn't like it as soon

as I started reading it. It took me a while to warm up to it, but as I read it

I got so involved and my enjoyment of the book was almost exponential like by

the end I was like 'I never want this book to end!' This is a historical fiction

novel it's about a woman called Cora who used to live in London with her son when

her husband dies she moves out to Essex and meets a vicar there and all of the

people locally are talking about this Essex serpent which is an old monster

which has been seen and perhaps it's back in the marshes. This is at a time in

history when people were interested in fossils Mary Anning was digging up

plesiosaurs on the beaches and Cora is very much of that mold; she's a woman who's

interested in science, in fact and she's trying to work out what's going on. This

book has massive Crimson Petal and the White vibes if you have read that, it's a

sort of historical book where all of the characters are so fully formed and fully

flourished and yet it doesn't feel anachronistic. And finally a book that I am so

pleased to have read this year and that is The Secret History by Donna Tartt.

This is not a new book and it's a book that lots of people have loved for a

long time but finally I got to it while I was on holiday and I'm so pleased that

I did. This is about a young boy who joins University and while he's at

university he kind of falls into this group of Ancient Greek students who are

all very well off, all very eccentric and what we know at the beginning of the

book is that one of this group is going to be killed by the rest of them and we

don't know why and we don't know how and the whole of the book then is unfolding

kind of the build-up and to this death and then the aftermath of it and it

unfolds so slowly and so beautifully and I completely loved her writing. It's a

very long book and it's the kind of thing where nothing much happens

although obviously a murder happens so it's a big thing, but day to day not much

seems to be going on but behind the scenes there's a lot there. It's the kind

of writing which I think it is deceptively easy and deceptively simple

you don't realize how clever it is while you're reading it and it just really

stayed with me. I felt like so a part of all of those characters and it's not

often that I want to go back and reread a book, especially a book that's that

long I've got to say, but The Secret History is definitely up there, at some

point in my life I would love to reread it. So that is my top 10, I am so in the

zone for hearing about fantastic books at the moment so please tell me what

your favorite books of 2017 were. I've been watching everyone's videos, my watch

later playlist is like 50 videos long all of 'Best Books of 2017' so I'll get to

them eventually and then buy loads I presume I have more to read next year! I

would also love to hear your opinions if you read any of these books and I will

see you in my next video, bye!
