It's always kind of hard to...so I bought a pineapple lamp.

- [ROSE] What is your favourite JoyCon colour combination?

I don't know.

I just kind of like the, uh, hm. JoyCon colour combinations? I just kind of like the standard, like,

red and blue that came with my Switch. I really like them.

- [ROSE] Can you lick your elbow? - [JAMES] Uh, no.

- [ROSE] What is your favourite game and why is it Fortnite? - [JAMES] Well, first off, whoever asked that, fyou.

Second off, favourite video game is actually Sonic Mania.

Sonic Mania Plus to be exact.That game hit all the right spots for me. - [ROSE] What is your favourite Mega Man boss?

- [JAMES] Across all of Mega Man, I know it's a cliche and I know Mega Man 2 is not one of my favourites,

but that dragon in part 2 at the start of Dr. Wily's

fortress - the mecha dragon - that one was always cool. Not because it was a particularly fun boss fight, mind you,

but just because of you you get chased by a giant mechanical dragon, and that's cool and stuck with me.

- [ROSE] Who is best girl? - [JAMES] Best girl is...

definitely Amy Rose because Elliot says she tastes like strawberries.

Interpret as you please. - [ROSE] What is your favourite non-gaming band and/or musical artist?

- [JAMES] Alright, so favourite band or music artist. I blame this very much

so on just having been raised in Texas, but I

really like ZZ Top, or I guess since I'm in Canada, Zed Zed Top.

But, yeah, ZZ Top is incredible. I think Eliminator is the best album ever made.

I know that's kind of a cliche thing to say, but I really like it. I think they're brilliant and

I don't think that there's anyone quite like them and, I admit I

might be kind of biased because I've met Dusty Hill before he seems like a really cool dude.

- [ROSE] What YouTubers roughly your size, would you consider collaborating with?

- [JAMES] As for YouTubers roughly my size now that's interesting, um, I

mean, a lot of the ones my size

I had wanted to collab with, I have. This is mainly just because

they're friends. The weird thing about YouTube is once you get your niche,

you realize house like how small your niche is or your section of it like - me and how my, I guess,

semi-serious retro gaming stuff got. Like I've collab go to Golden Bolt. I've collabed with G to the Next Level.

I've appeared on channels such as Media Glitch before and, like, yeah I wanted to

collab with them but also the people

who run said channels are either good friends of mine doctor or at very least acquaintances who I can say are really great dudes.

I'll be honest the one channel that's - well, they're little bigger than me now

BUT

I know that as far as actual following goes they're way bigger than me because of how long they've been around and how prolific

they just are in retro gaming and how much of a beacon of positivity they are -

but I'd love to do something with Riff from Pixel Game Squad.

I've been watching the NESPursuit since I was in high school and

Riff's personality in general is fantastic.

The, uh, just the type of

content that Pixel Game Squad puts out is incredible and just, I will be honest, they are like the most positive people out there.

- [ROSE] If your home was on fire and you had time to save just one console and the game inside of it,

Which would you pick and why?

- [JAMES] If my house is on fire and I can only say save one console one game, what would it be?

I'd save probably...

some sort of SNES and my copy of Earthbound, because when it comes time to rebuild,

and as sentimental as I am, I could sell that game for like $200. That's the most expensive game I own right now.

It's Earthbound. 200 bucks is 200 bucks. - [ROSE] What is your favourite thing that you like that most people hate?

- [JAMES] What's my favourite thing that I like that most people hate? Is this in regards to games or in general?

- [ROSE] I mean if it was for right now, in general I'd assume it's the Piranha Plant in Smash Bros.

- [JAMES] All right, if we're talking about games that people hate, I recently played a bit of

Castlevania the Adventure on Gameboy. It's short. It's janky. I actually really enjoyed it.

I don't know. I can see why a lot of people don't like it. It's remake on the Wii is better,

but also it's a fun game. As far as things in general people hate - I

loved it so much when people complained about the Piranha Plant when it was announced for Smash Ultimate.

I don't know.

Legit, the only reason I wanted Waluigi

announced for Smash Ultimate was I wanted some kind of "what the hell" character.

One that just makes you scratch your head or whatever.

They announced the Piranha Plant and, like, that's better than Waluigi could have been for me.

I'll legit got hyped when they announced the Piranha Plant and I can't wait to finally play it when I finally get my mitts

on Smash Ultimate, which I guess probably won't be until after Christmas.

- [ROSE] Opposite time. What is something you hate that most people love? - [JAMES] I'm gonna go on a tangent here.

This is probably gonna get me some flak and, if you've been following my channel

you'll know that I parodied this for my April Fool's video this year,

but I don't like reaction videos. I find them to be a very, well,

like I know they get a lot of views and if you make said videos and enjoy making them, that's great!

YouTube should be above anything else about making content you enjoy and if you enjoy watching them, too, that's fine.

But, I find them to be very lazy, uninspired types of videos with very little creative merit. - [ROSE] If you could get one superpower,

what would it be and why? - [JAMES] I'd kind of like the ability to like stop time for a bit for no other reason

than, get this, I could, like, take a nap

and I could have, like, a really nice two hour nap and I'd wake up and, like, no time would have passed.

Like it'd be great. I'd have all the energy of having taken a nice long nap, but with none of the time lost.

- [ROSE] What would help you could?

- [JAMES] Yes.

- [ROSE] What is your favourite Fortnite emote?

- [JAMES] My favourite Fortnite emote is the one where I tell you to "git gud" and stop asking about Fortnite. - [ROSE] How old are you?

- [JAMES] I'm 20, despite the beard. - [ROSE] And is this your first time?

- [JAMES] ...

- [ROSE] What are your three favourite game genres?

- [JAMES] My 3 favourite game genres, in this order, are side-scrolling platformers,

RPGs - turn-based RPGs, actually, followed by action RPGs.

I like me my RPGs. - [ROSE] When will the Earthbound let's play happen?

- [JAMES] Oh, the Earthbound let's play will definitely happen once I hit a million subscribers.

- [ROSE] What's one of your favourite video game soundtracks?

- [JAMES] All right, my favourite video game soundtrack...

varies by day, but my favourite right now has been the one from Katamari Damacy.

- [ROSE] How do you edit your videos and how long does that take on average?

- [JAMES] So, it really depends on the type of video I'm making and it who I'm making it for. For example,

and I mean a general example,

if, you know, you want me just to get a 30-second,

you know, commercial spot out except it's not even a commercial and it's like me putting clips together, you know,

just a series of clips together with some some subtitle text over it (trust me I've had

requests, er, I've had commission's like that before) and it's just that, that takes no time at all.

But for more advanced projects, like if we're talking like an in-depth

hour-long documentary,

that's days of editing or more. Uh, here's the thing with editing though,

Even though I can use Adobe suite, what's really fortunate for me living where I am, which is in Victoria, British Columbia,

very near to Vancouver which is the the heart of the Pacific

Northwest's film industry, as I learned to edit using Final Cut Pro, little did I know that,

even though the American film and media scenes are

very much so centred around the Adobe Suite. In Canada, and apparently in a lot of Europe as well,

people gravitate more towards Apple and their suite of products.

So I if you're wondering if I think Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro is better,

it depends on a what you are more comfortable with earning or just using in general, and then also

what the industry is using. What do you think would work best for the industry you're in or the area you're in?

But with that in mind, for the videos on my own channel, like the short little five minute videos I used to do a lot,

from turning the camera on through editing and uploading, that was like three hours.

However, for this documentary series, I'm working on now,

some of these episodes starting with the research for them have been in progress for awhile.

Some like the very first episode has roughly six months worth of research in it.

It's a long process and some ones you have to go through and change things in editing and re-edit things just whenever you get new

info, but I hope you like the documentary series, uh when it launches. The mysterious documentary series

I've been hinting at on like Discord and Twitter and whatnot.

- [ROSE] What are three games you're looking forward to the release of in 2019?

- [JAMES] Three games I'm looking forward to the release of in 2019. I guess I've really slowed down from buying games.

I've kind of forced myself to go through my backlog. I'm not really paying attention to what's coming out in 2019. Um,

Is that new Yoshi game 2019? - [ROSE] I believe so. - [JAMES] I want that and then I'm assuming we're

getting Pokémon gen...8? Gen 8 now? - [ROSE] I think so. Yeah, core Pokémon games.

- [JAMES] Yeah, so I guess I'll count that as one entry. So I definitely want that and then-

- [ROSE] Animal Crossing? - [JAMES] Definitely Animal Crossing. I'd say my most hyped game is definitely Animal Crossing.

- [ROSE] Will we be seeing more videos featuring your boyfriend and will he be leading the charge on a few?

- [JAMES] All right. Final question. Gee, I wonder who asked that? Well my boyfriend Eliot be in more videos.

We're hoping so. He's coming up here for a bit in 2019.

We're spending a lot more time together in 2019.

well, I guess the first ever console retrospective video on here, where he and I just sit down and

I found one of the rare Hannah Montana PSPs, actually just for that and to give to him because we love to console

so much and, uh, actually funny story. Let me end this video with a tangent. So I went to a place called Value Village.

It's a thrift store. I found the super-rare Hannah Montana PSP for eight bucks, and it actually had a memory stick in there.

I found two things on there. First off ,Monster Hunter. Japanese Monster Hunter. That's cool.

Mr Devvin here, welcome back to another video. As you can see behind me, it's kinda gloomy outside.

For most people, this weather, it means being able to go under your blankets and just stay warm, while watching

some fun movies, and drinking hot coco! But not for me, no. For me, this is depressing weather, so now...

I'm depressed.

The thing is, I don't like to feel alone, so what's going to happen now is, I'm going to

make you guys depressed with me.

Here are some depressing animal facts.

In case I get too sad, I will be pulling up some images to make me happy.

(Sad music begins) Who's the woman washes your clothes, feeds you meals,

and tucks you into bed at night and reads you story so you don't get scared?

Your momma. That's who. Can you imagine what it would be like if you never met her? Probably not.

You know who hasn't met their mom?

Sea turtles! That's who and they never will

If a female ferret does not find a mate, she will die. I don't know about you guys, but that just sounds

more dramatic than sad, but I mean, I don't know.

The average Goldcrest bird, they only live to be around 8 months

which means they never get to experience their birthdays.

You all take this for granted. There's animals out there SUFFERING, not knowing what it's like to have a birthday

and you still have the audacity to smile.

If a whale sings the wrong note, it can get lost in the ocean lose it's family.

Mice are capable of detecting sadness in other mice and when they find that out, that makes them sad too.

(Upbeat music starts) Oh, I can't handle it! It's so cute! It's a corgi!

(Sad music continues) In 1992, scientist found the worlds loneliest animal.

It was a whale that communicated at frequency so high, that no other whales could here it,

so therefor it couldn't find a mate or make a family.

If a grizzly bear momma only has one cub, there's a huge chance, she's gonna abandon it.

She'd prefer to try again next year, so she can a have a big litter.

But that is not the same for the panda, whereas if they have more than one cub, there's

a big chance she'll pick one cub to stay with her and abandon the rest.

Being a parent's hard.

(Sad music continues) In the U.S.A. alone, there are so many homeless dogs

and cats, that 2.7 MILLION get euthanized every year, just so they can make more room in animal shelters.

Chimpanzees can't swim, so they typically drown in zoo moats, while trying to save other chimps from drowning.

Cancer causes over half of the death of pets over the age of ten, which is really sad because

Hunter is about to turn ten next year!

The dolphin that played Flipper in the TV show, "Flipper" committed suicide.

Dolphins are capable of just holding their breathe until it's all over, which she did in her owners arms.

A lot of people speculate that this is becasue she had a broken heart.

(Upbeat music continues) Dogs aren't supposed to be wearing glasses! What are you doing?!

(Sad music continues) This is the last one. We all know that baboons clean bugs off each others backs,

but if it's unpopular, no other baboons will come and clean it leaving it alone and dirty.
