Waching daily Dec 15 2018

The stranded girl adjusted the wide-brimmed conical hat she had been given.

...The material felt too insubstantial compared to her visor and mech suit.

Yet, all her technology was now inoperable...too low on power to function.

When the frightening wings of the sphere doomers swarmed her...

She had planned to seize the energy sphere they sought to devour.

...yet she made a fundamental miscalculation, failing to subdue them.

But, mystical rays of color burst from thin air, whisking her to a safehouse.

The stranded girl found herself in some sort of painter's studio...

Yet, this girl had no time to appreciate art.

The only thing that motivated this girl was the dream of the stars...to return home.

Could she convince her savior to let her leave?

Her savior had dressed the stranded girl in painter's clothes.

A fluffy smock with cloud-lined cotton edges...a conical hat with yellow ribbons

pantaloons with rainbow tips, the right leg cool and the left leg warm.

While her savior herself wore brilliant violets, blues, and gold fringes.

...the stranded girl admired something in the colors...

...it reminded her of father, furthering her resolve to return home.

The stranded girl drew the courage to speak:

"Can you help me? I am far from home and family."

The stranded girl could feel her savior's smile hidden behind a violet kerchief

She replied: "We are indeed far from home, sister, but no longer from one another."

The robed woman reached for a lock of the girl's pink hair, breathing deeply.

She sighed ecstatically: "This is the same bubblegum I remember, sister."

The girl shied away. "What are you talking about? I am not your sister."

(And yet...the purple in the woman's hair...reminded her so much of father...)

The older woman looked pained, but quickly regained her cheerful demeanor.

"You have forgotten yourself, dearest sister."

"But this is not an unprecedented response to living in Another Dimension"

"This ugly realm devoid of the beauty of the rainbow of color..."

"it's enough to drive anyone insane, really?"

The painter threw out a sleeve to her side, and out came a majestic paintbrush.

She turned back to the girl, a glint of passion in her eye...

"But the gods have blessed me with the gift of creation, and recreate we shall!"

The stranded girl noticed something strange about the paintbrush...

The hum of her rebooting tech confirmed: this stick radiated the energy of stars!

How could such an artifact contain such power?

...yet, her suit lapped up the energy ravenously all the same.

but she needed to buy time before she made her move...

"Yes," she began, "I understand now that we are destined for greatness!"

"For I too have desired since I was little to transform this world with my family."

She reached out an arm to the painter. "Please let me paint with you that world."

The painter cackled in glee: "Yes, my dearest Paintra! Paint with me!"

As the girl grabbed the paintbrush, her visor reported: Systems fully charged!

The girl activated her mechanical grip to wrest the paintbrush from the painter.

"I do hope you find your sister...but my name is Susanna Patrya Haltmann."

"And I will harness this energy to turn this universe into a mechanical marvel!"

The interplay and interworkings of magic and technology in the Kirby universe

Princess Charlotte borrows sweater & Prince George wears trousers for first time in Christmas card - Duration: 10:05.

George finally graduates to long trousers! Kate ditches the Prince's signature shorts for the FIRST time in an official portrait,

He's known for his adorable trademark shorts, but Prince George finally got to wear long trousers today for the first time in an official portrait.

The young royal, five, was pictured perched on a tree trunk in woodland at Anmer Hall,

the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Norfolk home in a gorgeous new family portrait released for Christmas.

The youngster wore a pair of blue-grey chinos tucked into wellies for the snap, as he playfully leaned on one leg,

holding his father Prince William's shoulder's for support.

It was the first time George has worn long trousers for an official portrait, or even been seen in them publicly,

aside from when he acted as a Page Boy for Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie's weddings.

George and his fellow pageboys wore miniature versions of the Blues and Royals frockcoat,

similar to the uniforms worn by Harry and William on the big day, complete with long trousers.

Since he's been old enough to walk, George has worn shorts in all the official portraits taken to mark milestones such as his birthday or the Queen's 90th birthday.

He's also been wearing shorts in pictures taken in his school uniform,

and when he's accompanied his parents on overseas tours to Poland, Germany and Canada.

Previously, MailOnline's etiquette William Hanson told Femail that Kate put her son exclusively in shorts as it's an aristocratic way to dress.

He claimed that shorts on young boys are, in fact, a silent British class marker and trousers are deemed 'suburban',

which no self-respecting royal would want to be considered.

'The Duchess of Cambridge has to dress her own children and find a balance between royal tradition and heritage and more proletariat customs,

such as the "suburban" habit of making young boys wear trousers,' he explained.

'Although I don't really think that the sartorial rule of shorts for young boys would be a new one for Catherine.

'I would suspect that her own mother and mother's friends knew this,

as more well-heeled middle class mothers do - and dressed their own boys accordingly'.

Princess Charlotte, three, also made a fashion statement in the newly released image,

wearing a navy blue cardigan that belonged to her five-year-old brother Prince George.

The £48 knitted number by royal favourite Fina Ejerique was seen on George in the family portrait released to celebrate his grandmother the Queen's 90th birthday in 2016.

Tomboy Charlotte also wore the cardigan in a sweet photo of her kissing newborn Prince Louis shortly after his birth this year.

The button down top features a white nordic pattern around the neckline.

The Cambridge photo shows the Duchess of Cambridge cradling baby Louis - who is now almost eight months old,

as she rests against a tree trunk in woodland at their Anmer Hall home in Norfolk with the Duke of Cambridge.

Three-year-old Charlotte stands on the trunk with her arms around her parents' shoulders,

while five-year-old George playfully holds on to his father as he stands one-legged in wellies on the trunk.

Mother like daughter! Kate reveals one thing Princess Charlotte loves.

Kate revealed Princess Charlotte has followed in her footsteps in at least one thing – her love of arts and crafts.

The Duchess helped to make bead bracelets, revealing that adorable Charlotte, three, would enjoy the activity.

Kate said: "Charlotte would love making these".

Charlotte clearly takes after her mother with her talent for arts and crafts.

As William was cutting out an E for a Welcome To Xmas Dinner sign, he joked that Kate is the "artsy one".

William said: "My son knows I'm useless at this, Catherine is the artsy one".

Earlier in the day, Kate and William visited Evelina London Children's Hospital following the announcement the Duchess was to become its new patron.

Kate stunned in a green and white polka dot LK Bennett dress for the day of engagements.

It comes as Kate and William released their Christmas card for this year.

The family are posing by a tree trunk in the snap which was taken at their Anmer Hall home in Norfolk.

Charlotte takes centre stage in the picture, with the three-year-old standing between William and Kate.

The Duchess is holding a smiling Prince Louis - who was born in April - as she sits on the tree trunk.

And Prince George looks cheeky as he balances on one leg with his hands on William's shoulders.

Sharing the picture on Twitter, Kensington Palace said:

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family.

"The photograph, taken by Matt Porteous, shows The Duke and Duchess with their three children at Anmer Hall,

and features on Their Royal Highnesses' Christmas card this year".

And royal fans reacted with delight to the lovely picture.

One said: "What a natural, beautiful, family photo".

Another added: "They have such beautiful children. Merry Christmas to them all!"

A third wrote: "OMG! Prince Louis is so adorable! Princess Diana would be so proud and would be having so much fun with her grandchildren.

You have a beautiful family William and Kate!"

Her royal hand-me-down!

Tomboy Charlotte borrows big brother George's navy cardigan for sweet portrait on the Cambridge family Christmas card.

The Duchess of Cambridge is known for her thrifty sense of style - and it seems she is passing the lesson onto her children.

Princess Charlotte, three, appears in the Cambridges' new Christmas card wearing a navy blue cardigan that belonged to her five-year-old brother Prince George.

The £48 knitted number by royal favourite Fina Ejerique was seen on George in the family portrait released to celebrate his grandmother the Queen's 90th birthday in 2016.

while five-year-old George playfully holds on to his father as he stands one-legged in wellies on the trunk.

It was released on Friday along with a photo of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex taken at Windsor on their wedding night.

The black and white snap shows the newlyweds standing hand-in-hand as fireworks erupt in the grounds of Frogmore House,

a 17th century royal residence in Windsor near Frogmore Cottage, where they will live from early next year.

Harry and Meghan were photographed by Chris Allerton on May 19,

while William and Kate chose an autumn picture taken by Matt Porteous.

A third card shows the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall on a bench in their Clarence House garden gazing at each other.

In Charles and Camilla's card, the duchess is wearing a cream and crape dress by Fiona Clare in the image,

the same outfit she wore for the prince's official 70th birthday pictures which featured the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children,

and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The photograph was taken by Hugo Burnand, who is used to working with members of the Royal Family

as he took the wedding pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's nuptials in 2011

and Charles and Camilla's big day in 2005.

Royal children: Are George, Charlotte and Louis more Windsor or Middleton?

The Cambridge family clan has grown in the last five years, and Kate and William now have three children to look after,

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, but who do the children look like the most, his mum, Kate or dad, William?

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are said to resemble certain members of the royal family,

most notably the Queen and Princess Diana. But out of their parents, who do the siblings look like the most?

Prince George.

The eldest of the couple's children, there has been speculation over who the five-year-old looks like the most.

Many have said he bares a striking resemblance to his dad Prince William at his age, as they share similar features.

But others have commented he looks more like Kate's father, Michael Middleton,

as George has the same eyes, Middleton nose and smile as his grandfather.

While people have noticed he has some similarities to the Queen at his age, such as the blonde hair and fair eyebrows.

And others have drawn connections to Princess Diana, one fan wrote on a photo released to mark his fifth birthday:

"Prince George is adorable. I see Princess Diana in his beaming face!"

"I think it's just the same lips and same smile as Diana," one commentator wrote.

Princess Charlotte.

People have said Charlotte looks similar to her mother, Kate, as well as the Queen when she was a baby.

Charlotte's big blue eyes do resemble the Queen's as do her arches eyebrows and light brow.

Some fans have also noticed a similarity between Princess Charlotte

and Princess Diana when their two photographs are put side by side as they share identical facial features.

Especially in the latest Christmas card issued by the Cambridge family, where her eyes,

lips and button nose shares similarities to a young Diana.

And some have also noted a resemblance to the Queen mother's facial features as well, along with her smile.

Princess Louis.

As Prince Louis is only eight-months-old it is difficult to know who the youngest member of the Cambridge family looks like the most.

The tiny royal does show some resemblance to Prince William, especially in christening pictures taken earlier this year of the tot.

But Louis seems to get his chubby cheeks from the Duchess of Cambridge.

And bares a striking resemblance to his mother at roughly the same age.

Although he also looks rather similar to his older brother, Prince George will his full cheeks and button nose,

so perhaps we will see some Princess Diana resemblance in a few years as well.

What If The Sun Disappeared For 5 Seconds? - Duration: 5:50.

What If the sun disappeared for 5 seconds?

Seems like a really odd question.

5 seconds isn't very long.

But the sun is so vital to everything on earth, as well as the rest of our solar system.

Even if it only disappeared for 5 seconds, that 5 seconds would be enough to cause some

serious damage.

Hello and welcome back to life's biggest questions, the channel that imagines the impossible.

I'm your host, charlotte dobre and thanks for checking out another video.

if this is your first time here, subscribe for more daily videos that will make you scratch

your head, and if you're on social media, check out the description for our social media

handles.

The sun is 330 thousand times the mass of our earth, and every single second it produces

as much energy as 100 billion hydrogen bombs.

The sun is so big that it's the dominant gravitational force in our solar system, and

8 planets along with countless space objects orbit around it.

To sum it all up, we need the sun.

if it went anywhere, even for just 5 seconds, shit would definitely go down.

It takes 8 minutes for light from the sun to reach the earth.

So if the sun disappeared for 5 seconds, we wouldn't even know about it until 8 minutes

later.

If the sun disappeared for 5 seconds, the parts of the world that were experiencing

daylight at the time would get a very quick 5 second night, where the stars are visible.

the parts of the world that were experiencing night at the time that the sun disappeared,

wouldn't see the moon because the moon's light is reflected from the sun.

If the sun disappeared for 5 seconds, it wouldn't be too big a deal at first.

We would still have electricity for those 5 seconds.

Plants would stop making food because without the sun there is no photosynthesis.

They of course would continue making food after the sun returned after 5 seconds.

It can be assumed that the planet will get quite a bit cooler for those 5 seconds, and

the average temperature could even drop to zero degrees Celsius.

This would probably be quite a shock for people who lived in warmer climates.

Imagine going about your day when all of a sudden, the sun goes out and the air is quite

a bit cooler.

Its not necessarily the light from the sun going out for 5 seconds that I'm worried

about, its how it would affect gravity in our solar system.

The sun provides heat and light for our solar system, but The sun holds everything in our

solar system in place.

Interestingly, before Einstein, scientists assumed that gravity acted instantaneously.

But in his theory of general relativity, the force from gravity isn't instentanous.

Gravity travels at the speed of light as well, so we would see the sun go out and feel it

disappear at the exact same time.

. If the sun disappeared, even if it were for just 5 seconds, all the objects in our

solar system would assume an unstable orbit.

They would then be sent flying in the direction that they were headed in a straight line rather

than continuing on their elliptical orbits.

The earth oribits the sun at a speed of 67 thousand miles per hour, or 30 miles per second.

Do a bit of math, and the earth's orbit would change by less than a kilometer.

Even though this doesn't seem like much, This could cause our planet to move further

away from the sun, so when it goes back into orbit, the earth could be quite a bit cooler.

This would affect the environment in many different ways.

Certain plants cant survive in cooler weather, and certain species of animals who rely on

the heat would also suffer.

Its difficult to determine just how much a change in temperature would affect life on

earth, but as we have seen, a drop in temperature has caused many different species to go extinct.

Even though the sun and its gravity would return after 5 seconds, in extreme cases,

its temporary disappearance would cause the objects in our solar system to be knocked

off course, where eventually they could float away into space entirely and be lost forever,

or they would eventually crash into other objects in our solar system.

Again, any crashes wouldn' t happen right away because gravity also travels at the speed

of light, but throwing our planets orbit off course would definitely have long term implications.

Apart from the sun's obvious jobs, You might not have known this but The sun also creates

a magnetic field around the solar system.

The field is called the heliosheath, and it deflects harmful radiation particles that

come from outside our solar system.

Take away the sun, and then our heliosheath is gone, which means that all the radiation

that is currently blocked will be able to make it into our solar system.

Once the sun returned, the heliosheath would be far less able to safely deflect all the

radation that bombards our solar system from space.

On the bright side, we would likely see beautiful aurora up in the atmosphere, but on the negative,

electrical grids we rely on would short out and satellites that are currently in orbit

might stop functioning.

This already happens when solar flares affect our planet.

Thankfully, the sun isn't going anywhere, and it definitely isn't disappearing for

5 seconds any time soon.

But hopefully this video has given you some insight on how important our sun actually

is.

For now, Its that part of the video where I'm going to respond to some of your comments.

These were from my last video, how dangerous is the dark web.
