three-step plan to do it and here's what we're gonna do step one make this your

profile picture on YouTube the link is gonna be in the description

to the picture step 2 comment on every single video you watch

it doesn't matter what you say by comment on every video except 3 every

time you see somebody with this profile picture like their comment immediately

TRIVIUM-EMBER TO INFERNO-MEXICANOS REACCIONAN - Duration: 13:08.

How about friends as they are? this is mexican curious watching, what adan,

what happened? how are you? Good people, greetings. Very good gentlemen, let's hope that

find the best, subscribe to our channel, leave us your

comments, a recommendation, your likes, Share our video if you like it,

add it to your YouTube playlist, there lets you do as your playlist of

videos, add it so that see another day if you do not have time

now and good gentlemen, let's see a band that a while ago we

recommended, but we did not find a song that he had permission or that he did not have

restriction and right now Adam found a that is live, from "Trivium" of

Orlando, Florida gentlemen. exactly, that's right, it's a band that plays heavy metal,

metal core, trash metal, are touching since 1999, we are talking about 20

years. Already a time. And yes, unfortunately the songs that had

asked then none had permission, Yes, it is like this and also

It is a live version. So is, as in live but in study. As

that they have everything controlled for presentation. That's right, that seems very

well, because there we will see if it gives the Caste, do not adan? let's see if it gives the caste

"Trivium" because in some way that they do not lend their

songs, to see if it's true that they play very well as to say "you do not

I grabbed my song, it does not deserve listen to it "as you see Adam.

It is called "Ember to Hell".

Excellent, how would it be in Spanish? ember a hell? or as? No, it would be like "from

ashes to hell "or" from the embers hell "OK, well there we have the

letter, let's go read and listen with attention to see what we think,

let's go with "Trivium" gentlemen, let's go adan, live

"ember to inferno"

they started well

Pretty rocker, do not adan?

There are 2 singers

They are adorning the guitars very beautiful

very well that change of music

there's like the voice is half weird Sirs

It's good that they have already taken up the throaty song because with the clear voice

like I did not like adam

that change is very good

that sounds very good

well that return, although I felt a slight emptiness in him guitar solo

like he needed something that hold

but we are talking about what is in alive

I feel very soft the voices for music

there you can hear well with that slight scratch

well that exit

Excellent, they were "Trivium" as it is called

song? Repeat me "ember to inferno" gentlemen, well if they touch

very well "Trivium" has good arrangements, good elements, good details and what

I say because they are playing live, in the study version because they usually put

even more things because then I know allows you to get more fixes and

that kind of makes the song fill in certain places, here where

were the guitar solos, there was a light space that I have not filled

but I repeat, maybe it's because he's in I live and they do not carry like

musicians of ... as they are says adan? support, support to fill

those holes and there's no problem, if they do live so good, you hear very

Well, I liked the guttural voices, Although I do not notice much difference in the

two, where I did not like the truth is where enter the clean voices gentlemen, I feel

that is very ... I do not know ... very ... very soft

where it is 100% clean, because there is a where I already like the more scratchy,

more raspy forgiveness, I like it there, but where it is

before, do not jump, I stayed like that music is quite rude, as for this

type of voice, right? how do you see? Like you hear out of context, that is, in relation to the

music, I even noticed some singer's detunements. Yes, there

It has some slight things, we know maybe he had some

throat problem, If so, well, no problem, but

if not, then if it's weird do not adan? I think What ... how do I tell them? to me the truth

I did not like it that much,

the drummer stands out for me, the drummer is very good. The base, the drummer

and the bassist and the guitarist at times, the one with the long hair, yes, at times it sounds

well, there are many silences that I do not like and that I feel

they need to fill up maybe, yes, because there are moments when you hear very empty

the song, as if it lacked more body or more volume, may be, it gives that impression to me,

but CHIN! I do not know if it's because we got used to hearing other

bands that like ... for example "Wintersun" that all sing and everything is heard

very well and they are all filling the song. Good is that for example, there as you mention it

"Wintersun" takes as his arrangements, his elements and at some point someone

program to sound and here so that we listen to, good for what I

I noticed, they do not carry anything like that activate the audio engineer,

in this second I have to put these choirs or this instrument, because here it

hear that as you say, a hole and "Wintersun" is an abandon and carries

many elements there already prepared for when it is necessary to put them, voices,

carries ropes,

many things adan, environments, then that It gives a wonderful body to your

music of "Wintersun", which I say "Trivium" plays very well live, but if it lacks

that, yes, yes, live. I do not know if it's the fact that I got used to

listen to other things with more body, it may be, that this sounds to me at times

empty, I feel that if there are many gaps in music,

but as I say, for me the drummer the bassist and one of the guitarists

I think if they do it right, yes, the voices They did not convince me so much, both

They make guttural and I think they go the same, they seem a little bit, they look alike and I do not

I liked it so much, I feel that they could have played more with the voices, the part in

where he makes the voice like a little more scratchy, I like that part, yes, but the

voice where sings clean no, no, like you say you, like no ... as if it comes from

context of music a little. That's right, I I feel that the voice does not enter, for me that

it's the only one but what would you say and what are you playing

live, I understand it, I understand it because I played live and I know that

when in study you do things that you can not

live and live do not take them, well if you listen and say CHIN! as

here I miss the ten voices that I got into this song and nothing else you do

one, is an example, then I do not I see so badly, but if I think they can

do much more yet, then well the drummer, well the guitarists,

well the bass and the voices because they already I said nothing more about my detail, I do not know about you

more you see adan. Well, that's based on this song clarified. From the letter you how the

you see. The lyrics I do not know if he speaks in relationship to the birth of a

person until it develops, not the lyrics are very clear, there is

to read it and read it, but I say,

based on this song I do not liked it so much, I would need to hear other

songs, maybe others in the studio to see what

such, but as sometimes you say here,

live is where the bands are actually known.

That's right, live is where you see if you like them I said a while ago, they give the caste and many and

one stays CHIN! What happened there? but they are given the benefit of the doubt

because as Adam said, it is in this song, we can listen to others

better where they explode everything and already you You stay WOW!

Maybe they recommended us, but they could not react, well they do not have

permission, then let's see if any we can do them without

we have problems and we'll see no adan? without any problem,

good something more adan? No, let's go. Let's move on Gentlemen, be careful, we send you a

hug, subscribe to our channel, leave us your comments,

recommendations, like it, share our video, hugs gentlemen, we love you,

Take care, let's go.

Facts: The Electric Ray - Duration: 2:15.

Electric rays are a group of cartilaginous fish

that are capable of producing an electric shock.

They have two kidney shaped electric organs on their head.

Depending on the species, their shock can produce 8 to 220 volts of electricity.

The strongest shock can knock a human unconscious.

These rays are usually found near muddy or sandy seafloors.

They propel themselves through the water using their tail.

An electric ray's diet depends on the species

, but may include animals like halibut,

herring, and worms.

Their mouth is filled with round teeth and their jaw can expand to swallow large fish.

Their eyes are small so they rely on electroreceptors

called ampullae of Lorenzini to detect prey.

Electric rays may bury themselves in the sand and ambush prey

with an electric shock by wrapping their disc around the prey.

They might also drift over unsuspecting fish and stun them.

The largest species of electric ray, called the Atlantic torpedo ray,

can reach over 6 ft (1.8 m) long

while the smallest electric ray only grows to around a foot (.3 m).

Rays are ovoviviparous.

This means that embryos develop inside eggs

and remain inside their mother's body until they are ready for live birth.

Young are already born with the ability to give off electric charges.

Females can give birth from anywhere from a couple to over a dozen juvenile rays.

Electric rays can be aggressive, and have few natural predators due to their electric defense.

They've even been known to chase after divers.

Some species migrate over long distances.

Electric rays are sometimes used in medical research.

Their meat can be eaten if their electrical organs are removed.

Some ancient civilizations believed that

the shock of an electric ray could treat things like headaches and gout.

Generic Drug "Cartel" Busted In Pricing Collusion Scheme - Duration: 6:07.

A group of generic drug manufacturers have been busted working together to drive up the

cost of generic drugs in the United States.

The cartel, and it is purely a drug cartel, used special coded language.

As a matter of fact, they had their own lingo to help each other keep and plan secret meetings

about how they can affect the prices of drugs.

When I first saw this story, I had to reread the first few paragraphs a few times because

it seems so improbable that you have these, these CEOs that are meeting in what they called

girls night out.

That's part of their lingo.

Let's have a girl's night out meeting.

Now the girl's night out meeting may be in Berlin at the most exclusive restaurant in

the world.

It could be in Tokyo at the most exclusive bar in the world, but girls night out is where

these CEOs go and meet and they have their lingo.

They talk about their, their lingo is really pretty remarkable.

It is, one of the, one of the part of it is what they call fair share.

Now everybody around the table understands, we all have to have our fair share.

What that is, that's code for let's all raise the prices together.

The other part of the lingo is Joe seems to be wanting to trash the market.

That's part of, trashing the market as part of the lingo.

Joe wants to do the right thing and that's treat generics like generics.

Pick it up from there.

The one that stood out to me the most was the, the sandbox.

The sandbox is were all these generic drug makers go to play and by play they mean, sell

our drugs.

And the fair share applies to the sandbox because it says, okay, in this particular

city there's two CVSs.

There's two Walgreens.

There's two Rite Aids.

So me, you know, I'm president of company A, I'm gonna take all the CVS.

You company B, you get the Walgreens.

Company C, you take the Ride Aids, the Ready Marts, you know, the smaller ones.

But that's everybody's fair share.

So CVS can only offer my prescription drug.

You have a competitive drug, but we're not gonna sell them in the same store because

that'll drive down the prices.

So anybody who goes to Walgreens gets your drugs, they go to CVS, they get my drugs,

that's fair share, and they colluded to prevent one another from, from overstepping their

lines in the sandbox to keep those prices artificially high to the tune of $4,000 or

$5,000, $6,000 markups on generic drugs.

Okay.

So, and the whole notion of generic, if you think about it, the only reason generic was,

has gotten by they, they've avoided so many pitfalls.

You can't even sue a generic company the same way that you can sue the original manufacturer.

There's all kinds of road problems getting to even sue a generic company.

But the generic company said, well, we want this special treatment because we're different.

We have lower prices.

We can keep the market down.

That was their big sale.

So now we find that what's interesting about this, these are old drugs, Farron.

Yeah.

These aren't new drugs where they're saying, well, research and development has changed.

That's ridiculous talk.

These are drugs that have been on the market for 10, 15 years.

Albuterol for asthma, EpiPen injections, insulin.

I mean, again, things these have been around for decades, the R and d paid for itself back

in the 60's.

This is pure profit and that is what drove them here.

Let me, let's name some names here.

Mylan, Teva and Dr. Reddy.

Those are some of the companies, the people involved, let, let me make, let their names

too.

Rajiv Malik.

Rajiv Malik is part of the sandbox, who is gouging people all over.

He's the guy making decisions to raise prices.

2000 and 3000 percent on generics.

Another guy's named Jeff Glazer.

So Jeff Glazer and Rajiv Malik, the other guy is, Jacob Malek.

I don't know if they're brothers, but they certainly are thugs.

And so what's happening is, is the government doing anything about it?

Finally, yes.

Department, actually, you know what, I can't really say that.

This is, this is really generated out of Connecticut.

The attorney general of , excuse me, the US attorney in, in Connecticut is leading the

charge.

47 states have taken a close look at it.

I think they're going to have a problem.

But here again, and I've said this so many times, if you don't throw them in jail, all

right, this, this is a felony.

I mean there's no...

As a matter of fact, one company has already pled and they're trying to avoid going to

prison.

So they're, they're cooperating right now.

Turning over all the info on their sandbox, which needs to happen.

Yeah.

Oh absolutely.

But if you don't, if you let them go and you don't throw them in prison, this just happens

again.

Big fines don't make any difference and we've talked about it.

You've got to take Mr. Malik, put him in handcuffs, walk him in a perp walk, and let him spend

a little time in the pokey.

I mean, there's no other way to put it.

And here's why, people have to understand this, why those big fines don't work.

This is a $109 billion dollar per year generic drug industry.

So even if they fined them $100 billion dollars, which they never would, they, you'd never

seen a fine that high.

I think the highest we've seen is $10 billion, which got reduced.

But nonetheless, even $100 billion, okay, well that's one year out of this multi-decade

scam they've been running, so they made huge profits off it.

It's the double standard of justice, right?

Yeah.

We're going to throw a kid in prison for his entire life if he's caught selling marijuana,

20 ounces of marijuana on the street corner.

I mean, he's going to prison.

If he does it three times, he's going away for life.

These guys, I mean take that same scenario, nobody goes to prison because they wear suits.

They're on Wall Street, they've got Harvard educations and they look very distinguished.

They're robbing you with the briefcase instead of a gun.

Yeah, exactly.

I'm really close to my home and I am doing a really normal thing, which is going to the supermarket

And this makes me thing on how much time we spend of our lives doing these really daily routines

like going to the post office, to the doctor, to the supermarket and so on...

at a first glance they seems really boring activities

but I like thinking of them as part of a bigger plan

if seen by itself, I mean, going to the supermarket is incredibly boring

but if you think on the real reason why you do it, it becomes a more meaningful experience

for instance I go to the supermarket because I want to make good food which then I will eat

if you think to the reason behind you do some stuffs, they become way more exciting

and even going to the supermarket is going to be meaningful, because you see they are part of a bigger plan

I hope this video will make you think on the real reason you do all these stuff and makes them more exciting for you!! See you!

look something is coming out of the river gonna be somebody to rescue us

something says to rescue us Oh God what's he doing here children

jeans

Lizzy

she comes for the finishing now

that's the end of Godzilla

Lucy's dragging him into the river

keep watching to find out guys watch the next episode to see the origin of

subject Ralph as he mutates from wolf - super roles can the city survive these

three dangerous creatures keep watching to find out

okay it's great to see you again I'm super excited today

I got another awesome rampage the movie toy this is big city brawl genetic

containment division subject Lizzie Lizzie is a huge mutated alligator comes

with action figure like I said in earlier videos I loved

the art work they did on the box I mean the box is themself walk pretty much as

good as the toys I mean I cannot say enough about this company and guys I'm

not saying it because they sent me these toys because they did not send me these

toys I went to Walmart and I bought all these toys with my money so this company

did not send them to me but I love their toys I also bought all the King Kong

toys they made and they are fantastic so I mean this company does a great job

especially this line of toys I am super impressed

so with Lizzie you got job chopping action spike attack action and she is

ready to destroy once again here is the synapses basically the story of the

where you got all the rock l'ainte Johnson who is David employer and he's

trying to save his friend George the gorilla who gets mutated along with this

crocodile and an awesome wolf Wow it is cool I used to play this game

all the time on the original Nintendo okay so let's go ahead and see what was

included in this box and they even did the graphics on to the side of this box

up was just the tail assembly Wow I love this character so that is what's

in the box before I remove anything one word of warning though guys these are

sharp spikes so I mean I don't know these are probably not really for very

young kids because if one of your kids left this out if you stepped on this at

nighttime you could not be happy okay guys I continue to be blown away with

these toys I mean I've reviewed a lot of toys these are super awesome

once again the company did not pay me I mean I bought these toys myself so I

mean check out this work on the jaw look of the teeth the paint job the action

to everything I mean as I open these sets I like one more than the other

if these guys would have got the Jurassic world lineup dinosaurs for

Jurassic world too I will not be scared at all the

fantastic jump I cannot say enough about these figures and the toy sets they are

so cool take a look at these guys this guy's teeth these are jagged looking

teeth like all over the place I mean it's just so good detail the paint job

everything wicked little eyes these spikes that pop out there when you push

the action button the action button is nicely hidden here on top of the

character there is no screw holes or anything visible on this guy so I mean

it's I mean if if I'm looking at this guy here if nobody said anything I will

think this was some type of a custom-made figure that's like a hundred

or hundred fifty dollars so it's I mean they just did that great of a job so

that our legs move back and forth not too much this quote does not move but

one of the feet do I'll show you in a minute

super great detail here it is plastic well I mean the detail I love the detail

on this guy let me just tell you that and these spikes here on the back these

are softer but these spikes here they are sharp select I said if you stepped

on this at nighttime you would probably be bleep

let's just say that does that that would seriously hurt okay so this one's book

doesn't move either the leg does continuing on down biggest bikes big

huge spikes on the tail the tail does swing back and forth so you get like

tail action there so if this guy's like over here you could just do I am I mean

if these spikes if this is real life and these spikes hit you it would probably

in and then are continuing on same movement this one this one's foot does

move I think so you could put this guy in two different positions I'm wondering

that no I don't think you could stand him but most of these characters you

could pull on three legs there he's on three legs there without falling over

and you know guys they didn't even skimp on the bottom most companies will skimp

on the bottom maybe not colored as good or anything or leave screw holders there

is no screw holes down there I mean I I just can't say enough of these

characters I mean they are totally awesome and I love the head of the

diving book inside it is a perfect paint job I don't see any color running off

anywhere the wicked look design on those teeth this is a fantastic bigger and

then even the action figures are awesome I mean they did not skimp anywhere on

the figures or the main characters themselves so this is one of the action

figures from the movie really great detail there I mean if you see the

characters in the movie and you see these characters you know exactly who

they are the first one I showed you was Dwayne Johnson the rock I and I mean it

looks exactly like him so uh full movement on the arm there he does bend

at the elbow his arm will turn 360 at the elbow really good detail on the rest

of him same movement here he's got a pistol and a holster here but it does

not come out he's got like kneepads his legs his feet his feet don't do anything

but his legs do bend at the knee joint and they do go all the way up there so

you could put it on like different vehicles and stuff and here is a good

look at the back

you

he's Godzilla and subject Lizzy for image the movie have destroyed Chicago

that was totally awesome guys and if you want to see more fun videos go ahead and

click the subscribe button next to it click the bell button also I do have

over a thousand videos keep watching you guys are awesome today's secret word is

the word click the subscribe button below for a lot more fun video also

Oh No, It Turns Out Infrastructure Is Crumbling Everywhere - The Jim Jefferies Show - Duration: 5:53.

The country is facing a housing crisis

and nowhere is that more apparent

than right here in California.

Homelessness is on the rise and a third of the state's residents

pay more than half of their income towards rent.

In fact, the cost of living has gotten so out of hand,

that last week, this condemned house in San Francisco Bay Area

sold for 1.2 million dollars.

Presumably to the world's meth-iest millionaire.

Meth Zuckerberg.

Around the world, people are flocking to urban areas,

house prices are rising, populations are booming,

and that leads to a whole bunch of problems.

>>As the number of city dwellers rises,

>>so do problems, like overcrowding,

>>pollution, housing shortages, and aging infrastructure,

>>like mass transit and highways.

And, worst of all, more people moving to the city

means more Midwesterners crying in public because

"the city just is so mean. People don't say hello."

"Back home, things are so much better."

Then go f***ing back home, will ya?

Get out of the way! You're causing traffic.

In cities like Hong Kong, where overpopulation is out of control,

we're getting a glimpse of what the future might bring.

>>The Long family have a two-bedroom flat.

>>They share their home with four other relatives

>>and it's forced them to look for an ingenious solution.

>>My uncle is on the upper deck

>>and my parents are sleeping on the -

>>On the lower deck, yeah.

>>So what is it like to sleep in that at night?

>>I like it!

>>Yeah?

>>Just like - in the spaceship.

Yes! In space,

everyone can hear you f***.

Major cities are struggling to meet demands for services,

like schools and medical facilities,

not to mention basic resources like water and food.

And it's even worse in poorer countries.

>>Here, in Delhi's Vasant Kunj, children often miss school

>>just waiting for the only source of water for their daily consumption

>>and for sanitation. There are no working toilets here.

Yeah, that's pretty bad.

But have you ever tried to park at Whole Foods

on a Saturday in LA?

The lot is backed up to the street.

You have to circle around a thousand times.

It's literally the worst thing in the world.

Some countries, notably China,

have attempted to limit the number of children families can have.

But one problem with no one having babies is that

everyone is getting old at the same time.

>>This baby boom generation in China will start to hit retirement age

>>in the very next few years.

>>And so China is going to face huge retirement costs

>>and social security costs, healthcare costs -

Come on, China! You can't let your population get old.

We need people making iPhones, not struggling to use them.

But some countries are taking a different approach.

>>A non-governmental organization

>>in Minya City in Upper Egypt

>>has drafted a law to help end overpopulation.

>>It calls for imposing a procreation license

>>on newlyweds to have one child every five years.

See, I think that's the right idea.

See, in America, you need a license to drive or to fish.

You even need a license to breed dogs.

Why wouldn't you need one to breed children?

We all have those people who we've met

who probably shouldn't have kids.

And for many of my friends, I'm that person.

But if we're going to keep reproducing,

only quality people should do it!

So, I propose a brief quiz for anyone planning to reproduce.

It's called,

You Must Be Great to Procreate.

[saxophone plays]

It's like a driver's test. And if you fail,

you don't get your procreation license.

For example, question one would be,

Are you a pedophile?

If you answer yes, then thank you for your honesty

but it's still bad.

We should probably put that question at the very top

right above the bit that goes, "write your name here."

Next!

Where do you keep your Tide Pods? On a high shelf?

Good!

In a refrigerator in a jar marked "candy?"

Bad.

Have you ever used the hashtag #MyBestLife

on any of your social media accounts?

No. No license for you! No!

If you're one of these people who knows if

you're a Slytherin or a Huffety-puff or whatever,

but you don't know your blood type,

that's minus ten points.

If you're a murderer, that's points off. Though...

you have technically helped the overpopulation problem, so...

We can call it even.

Think of the possibilities.

We don't need to share and live in space-flats with ten other people.

We can write our own future.

All we need to do is select out the losers

and make sure only winners are breeding.

It's a foolproof plan.

In fact, I'm surprised that no one has thought of it already.

>>Eugenics: the science of improving a population

>>by controlled breeding.

>>Eugenics is best understood and best remembered now as

>>the pseudoscientific mumbo-jumbo that the Nazis used to explain

>>why they felt the need to categorize and kill whole populations.

Ah. Oh, well...

Yeah, maybe someone did think of it already.

Did it work?

The Real-Life Story That Inspired "A League of Their Own" - Drunk History - Duration: 5:32.

Tonight-- [laughs]

Hi, my name is Anais Fairweather,

and tonight I'm gonna tell you the story,

the true story behind "A League of Their Own."

- Cheers. - Cheers.

- We start our story with Marge and Helen Callaghan,

two sisters growing up in Vancouver, Canada.

These two women are natural athletes.

They're so [bleep] sick and tight,

and they're like,

yeah, we joined a fast-pitch softball league together.

Okay, so now we're gonna fast forward a little bit to 1942.

We're in the midst of World War 2,

and the draft is going on full force.

Now this [bleep]ing guy, the commissioner of the MLB,

Kenesaw Mountain Landis.

[groans]

I hate saying that name. - [laughs]

- He's like,

I'm the numero uno commissioner

of major league and minor league baseball,

and while I'm calling the shots,

everyone's being [bleep]ing drafted into World War 2.

So he's like, okay, I'll put my big boy pants on.

I'ma figure this out.

He calls Philip K. Wrigley.

Philip K. Wrigley is, like, chomp, chomp, hello?

And Kenesaw Mountain Landis is like,

oh, my man, 3,000 minor league players,

major league players are gone to war.

So Philip K. Wrigley's like,

okay, I've got an idea for you.

We are gonna capitalize

on the popularity of women softball.

Badass women.

And it's, like, the '40s, right?

That's--that's a crazy time to do this.

So Philip K. Wrigley and his buddy, Ken Sells,

go out scouting all throughout the Midwest.

And lo and behold, who did they run into

but Helen and Marge Callaghan.

- What are they doing there?

- They are playing fast-pitch softball,

and Helen and Marge are like,

uh, we are dominating this field.

Philip and Ken run out to this.

They run out to the field and they're like,

you, the both of you, we need you both.

You got to be on our [bleep]ing team.

And they sign on the dotted line at $75 a week.

So they're both on the Minneapolis Marionettes.

[both laugh] No, Millerettes.

So Marge and Helen are like,

we're on this team, this is [bleep]ing tight.

They're playing doubleheaders,

in, like, 115 degree weather,

and Philip K. Wrigley's like,

I know how to sell a product,

and I need these women to look like women.

These chaperons are like, I am going to make sure

that their hair is curled, their lipstick is on,

their makeup is fully done,

their skirts are ironed

before they head out onto the field.

People are full to watch these women

in these adorable dresses

play [bleep]ing baseball like men.

And Marge Callaghan, Helen Callaghan,

are [bleep]ing knocking this shit outta the park.

Women are stealing bases.

They're like, what's up, mother[bleep]?

[laughs]

I don't know why that's funny, but it's funny.

[both laughing]

Now, Philip K. Wrigley looks at this and he's like,

these aren't women playing baseball.

These are [bleep]ing baseball players.

[bleep] yeah, dude!

It's so badass, right?

[ice jingling]

- This is my seventh inning stretch.

- This is mine.

- All right, let's play ball.

- Yeah, okay.

So 1945 comes, right? And World War 2 is ending.

Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams,

the major, minor league players come back

and they're like, hi, everybody, yeah,

we've been at [bleep]ing war. It's terrible.

We're ready to hit some balls.

So they--they--and it ends up fizzling out.

30 years passes,

and this story is forgotten until 1985.

There was a reunion, Helen Callan-delays.

- [laughs]

- This is harder now

than it was earlier.

- But you're still doing it.

- Kelly hand-delay, Helen's oldest son, was like,

I'm gonna [bleep]ing record this shit.

He whips his out his camcorder,

and all these old ladies are [bleep]ing playing ball

like they did back in the [bleep]ing '40s.

Kelly Candaele creates

"A League of Their Own" documentary.

it's a huge [bleep]ing deal.

[bleep]ing Penny Marshall sees this documentary.

She's like, what the [bleep]?

I didn't know this shit existed in history.

Oh, maybe I should make a movie about this story

because it's important for women of all ages.

And if it wasn't for "A League of Their Own,"

nobody would have ever known

that women can throw a ball like the [bleep]ing men.

[inspirational music]

Is Anthem too Repetitive? - Duration: 6:41.

When it comes to the question of whether or not Anthem is too repetitive, I always find

myself answering in a very similar, unsatisfying fashion.

Yes, and no.

Yes because every game that is inherently based on gathering more and more loot will

always be repetitive to a certain degree.

But no, because there is variety in how you are approaching what is essentially the same

content in varying difficulty levels.

Yes, because I don't know how accepting you are of grinding, and no because the grinding

can actually be really fun.

The answer will probably always be the same.

"It depends."

Naturally, the Anthem Demo didn't give us more but a vertical slice of content to show

off the types of activities in the game, rather than trying to wow us with sheer volume.

Making content is expensive, especially when everything you do has a narrative hook associated

with it.

The designers have to come up with new encounters and locations, the artists have to make a

whole bunch of new assets and the characters have to be given voices to tell the story.

I have absolutely lost count of how often I heard Faye make the same joke in Anthem,

as much as I have lost count of how often I have been running Lexington in The Division.

Games that are based on Loot are inherently grindy and repetitive, and they hugely rely

personal gameplay variety to keep it fun and engaging, over constantly barraging the player

with new content to clear.

You may have killed the Swarm Tyrant a dozen times already, but have you killed it while

playing as an Interceptor?

Have you killed it while doing a full melee build?

Have you killed it as a Colossus?

Did you play it on Hard Mode?

On GrandMaster 1 or GrandMaster 2?

If you don't like the idea of approaching the same content in different ways, over and

over again, then yes- The game will be repetitive.

But I can confidently say that I have good reason to be hopeful for Anthem to make this

a fun experience for everyone who is down for that kind of gameplay.

I already thought that I had seen a lot of the game when I went to check all the loot

that I got in my 12 hours of playtime in the Demo- But boy was I wrong.

I have read so many comments with players telling me about Javelin Builds and Item Drops

that I haven't even seen yet.

And all of these things change your playstyle quite drastically.

When I first run into a boss at the end of a mission and I am struggling really hard

to beat it on Hard Mode because I didn't know what was coming and my build just doesn't

happen to be ideal for it- Then it's even more satisfying to come back to it with a

specialized solution to make this an absolute faceroll, and then proceed to crank the difficulty

to do it all over again.

It was fun for us to figure out the exact pathing and timings in Lexington to try and

speedrun the hell out of it so that we can grind more loot as effectively as possible.

And then we would be taking that loot and create different builds to do it even faster,

even more efficiently, or maybe if we're feeling giddy, try to do it with a sub-optimal

build just to mess around and see what happens.

Anthem has 4 different Javelin Suits.

Every suit has 3 to 4 abilities, depending on your components.

And every single ability can be changed to another ability.

And then these abilities can be enhanced and combo'd with each other.

And then you can also combo different builds with your friends who also have a bunch of

different ideas, and you can play off of each other and so on and so on.

I am sticking to what I said in my last video.

If you enjoy the core gameplay of Anthem, then there are many sins that you can forgive.

Many problems that might not really bother you that much.

Because honestly, there is a lot of fun to be had for those who are willing.

Am I convinced that there is going to be a truckload of content that is going to keep

us busy for a very long time before the next update that brings new content?

No, I'm not.

In fact, I am being very skeptical when it comes to the sheer volume of content that

we can expect at launch.

And I, honest to god, hope that I am wrong.

Because I have seen a lot of promise in the narrative of Anthem, and I really hope that

the story missions are going to keep us engaged for a long time.

Desiring the next update that moves the story forward.

More than hoping for an overwhelming amount of content, I desire variety in the content

that is on display.

I want every Stronghold to feel meaningfully different so that choosing which one we want

to clear on GrandMaster 2 and 3 makes a significant difference.

I would very much prefer 5 dungeons who all feel completely unique, over 15 that re-use

assets over and over again.

I want the content that we play through to reflect the variety that we have in the Javelins

themselves.

Because let me assure you- A Storm plays nothing like a Colossus, and a Colossus plays nothing

like an Interceptor.

And even within those Javelins, your gear can make all the difference when it comes

to how you approach a battle, compared to other Pilots using the same Model.

Having the right combination of Javelins or components can make a really difficult encounter

really easy.

But having the wrong combination can also make a simple encounter much more annoying

than it has to be.

There is a certain amount of trial and error involved in approaching content that you either

haven't had a chance to research ahead of time, or chose not to spoil yourself on.

As the comments were so quick to point out- A single ability can make all the difference

when it comes to how easily you can deal with very specific problems in front of you.

The fun comes from mastering the content that

is on offer, rather than always expecting everything to be new.

If you're the type of player that only enjoys playing a single Javelin, with a very specific

playstyle and everything else doesn't appeal to you- Then sure, you might get a kick out

of overcoming the struggle of running a suboptimal build in certain situations.

But it is much more likely to get boring for you than for somebody who really enjoys approaching

problems from different angles.

So everything really comes down to your desire of wanting to acquire more items and your

willingness to repeatedly clear the same content.

I don't think that repetitiveness is a fair argument to leverage against Anthem, in light

of the fact of what it is trying to achieve, as a Loot Based Game.

And especially considering how much gameplay variety was already on offer in the Demo alone.

According to the comments I have read, players have made widely different experiences from

me depending on what Javelin they decided to go for, what components they chose, and

how many friends were in on the action.

So I am feeling confident in saying that, yes, even just based on the Demo- Anthem is

indeed not too repetitive.

But hey, that is just my humble opinion.

God knows that people love yelling at me for even having one, so feel free to add to the

discussion by leaving a comment down below.
