OBLIGITORY TITLE

cuteness

You know what?

I'm hungry again.

But I don't know what to eat...

You should tell me below

Also I've named this creature in the picture illy.

I'd capitalize the "i" except that would look like llly

That wouldn't be nice

Or accurate.

illy likes taking long walks on the beach,

playing with the sand in between her toes...

Eating ice cream...

and drinking Arabic coffee.

Me and illy get along ok.

But she doesn't know how to sneak around. Which is kind of important

since I'm a spy.

Everytime she gets excited, her whole... head lights up.

It's kind of cute.

Like the kind of cute you mean when you're like, oh that dog is cute.

illy is not a hippo.

Despite popular belief.

Although her father was...

he was in the army

When illy was younger, he'd come home after work and scoop her up in his arms

People from church thought it was adorable.

Her mom thought it was weird.

But illy's mom knew a secret about illy's dad...

neither illy nor her father had any arms.

It must have been hard for illy's father to be an army mechanic when he didn't have any arms

But then again, going into the field without arms was even worse.

So illy's mom went to an arms dealer.

because she wanted to buy the kind of arms you use to type silly illy scripts.

But all the arms dealer had was the kind of arms you want to take in to battle.

So illy's mom bought those instead.

The next week, the war was over, due largely in part to illy's mom.

This was bad news for illy and her family because illy's father was now unemployed.

illy got a paper route.

she was resourceful.

even though she didn't have arms.

everyone said, "HEY LLLY!"

and she'd sing, "That's not my name, that's not my name that's not my name"

After illy got home from work everyday, she would go to school.

She was resourceful there too.

On the first day of class, she went up to the teacher

and declared in a loud voice, "MY NAME IS iLLY"

Her teacher asked her to sit down.

When role call happened, the teacher said illy's name right because she could read the words illy said.

it was quite a talent.

the teacher had five talents. and chose not to burry them.

when the headmaster came around, the teacher said,

Look! I used to have 5 talents, but now I have 10!!!

So the teacher was promoted, illy's school friends called her illy, illy's mom became a war hero, and illy's dad because a CEO of a very successful company.

they all lived happily ever after and never died. Because illy is a flashlight.

The end.

Power Rangers (2017) Blu-Ray CLIP | Power Rangers Cliff Jumping Scene | HD - Duration: 5:08.

Guys, look. Look, it's that guy again.

Find anything interesting?

If I do, I'm keeping it!

- We know why you're here. - Oh, yeah?

You guys wake up surprised to be alive and jump over a house?

Yeah. Kinda. Well... no.

Look, we're different, all right? Everything's different.

Uh, you're Zack, right?

Yup.

You still go to Angel Grove?

Ha! Sometimes!

You know, the other girl was here too, about an hour ago.

Hey, you mean that girl right there?

Hey! Come on down!

We should figure this out together!

- Whoa. - Oh, screw this.

- Okay, let me handle this. - She got up there pretty fast.

No, no, no!

Yo, keep up.

Stop!

Just... just talk to me.

You have a coin. We have a coin.

We should just talk about this. I mean, we don't know what this...

- Whoa! Whoa! - What is wrong with you?

Whoa.

Oh, you're crazy! But so am I.

- Whoa, Zack. - No, I got this.

- Wait, wait. - No, I got this.

- What are you doing? - Whoa, whoa, whoa!

Hey!

- I got her! - Get off of me.

Just jump over.

Let's go. Jump with me. Yeah.

No, no, no! Don't-don't jump. - Okay.

- Don't jump. Don't jump. - I'm gonna jump across with her,

and then you jump, okay?

- Piece o' cake. - No, no, no!

Don't, don't! Jason! Hey!

That's not a piece o' cake!

- You all right? - Yeah, no problem.

You got this, Billy!

No, I don't!

- It's fun. - It's such a far jump.

- Come on, let's go, dude. - Billy, come on.

- We all did it. - Yeah,

you'll be fine, I promise. Just jump.

Come on, do it, dude. Let's go.

The drop is probably more than 100 feet,

which means death is imminent.

Okay, so if you die, Billy, what's gonna happen?

Okay, your mom'll be alone.

But it's okay 'cause she could find somebody else.

But she couldn't, 'cause you love your mom

- and you won't really... - He's scared.

He'll come across, he's fine.

Okay. Okay.

Visualize jumping across!

- And then do it! - Come on, you got this!

Okay!

Billy, you got this!

Whoa! Oh, shit!

Whoa!

- Are you okay? - I got it.

- Come on, climb up. Climb up. - I did it.

- Billy, you got it. - I did it!

See, what'd we tell you, Billy? You got it!

Told you. See?

- Whoo! - Yes!

Billy, right! Yeah!

- Whoa! - Billy!

- Oh, my God! - Billy!

Billy!

Billy!

- No, no, no, no, no. - Billy!

- We just kill that dude? - What do we do?

No, no, no, no, no, no.

Hey, guys, you gotta come down here!

It's water! You gotta see this!

Yo, all right! I'll see you guys down there.

Uh... bring that crazy girl.

Come on, you guys, let's go! Whoo!

Whoa!

Uh, hey... could I get a sip of your water?

I'm dying.

Okay. Just don't finish it.

Thanks. And I'm really sorry.

Sorry for what?

Whoa!

Yeah!

Welcome to the club!

'Sup, crazy girl?

We gotta do that again.

Oh, thank goodness.

- Hey, guys. Guys! - What?

- Check out how we glow. - Cool.

- Oh, yeah! - I like this.

I'm blue!

That's not my favorite color, but it's cool.

I'm black!

- What? - I am.

No, you're not.(Cliptonite)

Is Premium Gasoline Really Better for Your Car? - Duration: 2:49.

When you fill up your car with gas, you probably have to make a choice: do you pick the cheaper

gas with the lower number?

Or do you go for the more expensive stuff with the higher numbers?

Since a lot of gas stations call them "regular" and "premium", you might think that it

would be better for your car to shell out for the gas with the highest number.

But that's not necessarily true.

Using the wrong type of gas — with a number that's too low or too high — can be worse

for your engine, the environment, and your wallet.

That number on the pump is called an octane rating, and it tells you how much the gasoline

can be compressed before it'll just ignite.

Which is important, because if gasoline ignites too soon it can really mess up your car's

engine.

In the typical engine you'll find in a car that runs on gasoline, a piston slides out

of a chamber to let fuel in, . Then, a spark gets the gasoline burning, and the hot gas

pushes the piston back to let the flame's byproducts out and let more fuel in.

That all has to happen in exactly the right order.

If the gasoline ignites before the spark, the explosion's shock wave tries to push

the piston out while it's still moving in to compress the fuel.

When the energy can't be used to push out the piston, it rattles the sides of the chamber

to create a knocking or pinging sound, in what's fittingly known as "engine knock".

The octane rating tells you how much the fuel can be compressed before it'll ignite without

a spark.

Basically, the higher the number, the more stable the fuel.

Octane ratings are calculated different ways in different countries, but they always compare

the gas's stability to a mixture of two molecules: heptane and octane.

They're both just chains of carbons attached to hydrogens — the only difference is that

heptane, with 7 carbons, is really unstable, whereas octane, with 8 carbons, is really

stable.

So comparing gasoline to a mixture of those two molecules is a good way to measure its

stability.

But just because premium gasoline is more stable doesn't mean you should suddenly

switch to using it!

Today's engines are designed with specific ratings in mind.

Engineers know that high-octane fuel can take more compression without igniting, so high-octane

engines compress more than low-octane engines, and low-octane fuel can cause them to knock.

But low-octane engines don't compress enough for high-octane fuels, and there isn't enough

time between the spark and the gas being swept out of the chamber for all the fuel to be

used up.

That means some high-octane gas gets wasted if it's in the wrong engine, and once it's

out of the engine unburned, it can mess up things like the system that should be cleaning

your exhaust.

So it's just better to use the kind of gas your car was designed for.

Which you can probably find written somewhere in that owner's manual you never read.

Black Lives Matter Vancouver's March on Pride - Duration: 1:50.

[Chanting] Walk in the power, children. Walk in the power, children.

We want to centre the people

who are very traditionally marginalized within our community.

So, Black queer and trans people,

Indigenous queer and trans

and two-spirit folks.

Other people of colour, trans women,

and so on.

And we feel like other mainstream Pride organizations

don't necessarily honour those things

because not only are they corporate sponsored,

but they also include the police.

We wanted to stage the die-in

at the rainbow crosswalk

to kind of remind people how like

racism and homophobia and transphobia

are so interlinked.

And affects so many of our communities.

So we want to bring back to people's attention

that queer and trans people of colour,

and specifically Black and Indigenous people,

are the victims of a lot of violence.

And that happens right here in our city, and in our communities,

and we wanted to hammer that home by doing that

right here in the gay area of town.

For me this is a model of a non-police

and inclusive event because that's what it started as.

Pride itself actually started as a protest against police.

The Stonewall riots were a protest against

queerbashing and gaybashing that happened

in a lot of LGBTQ bars and establishments.

So yeah, for me this is my ideal Pride.

A teacher's journey to get his MEd with FlexPath - Duration: 2:35.

I decided to become a teacher because it was inspiring to me for the fact that I had teachers

who were able to make an impact on my life and I feel like I wanted to be able to do

that with some students myself.

I feel that getting a master's degree will help you to apply techniques and theories

to students' education that you didn't know was possible before.

My name is Todd Boyer and I'm a teacher at McClure High School.

I've been teaching for nine years.

I have a wife and two kids.

I have a daughter that's four and a half and a son who is eight months.

I first learned about Capella and their programs with professional development courses.

I'm able to use these professional development courses in the FlexPath program which allows

me to save time and money.

This will also help me to be completed with my master's degree at a quicker speed.

I want to get my master's in education so that I can advance my own career to be a technology

coach or a curriculum coordinator across the district.

It would also allow me to expand on the support that I'm able to give my students in the classroom.

FlexPath is different because it's completely self-paced as opposed to the traditional four

quarters or two semester type of program that most educators have taken themselves or that

we put our own students through.

FlexPath allows you to move through the curriculum quick or slow depending on what your schedule

allows for in your personal life and in your career life.

I feel like it's a great opportunity to achieve what I want to achieve in the timeframe that

I would like to achieve it in.

It's really important to me to have that flexible time so that I can still enjoy doing things

with my family.

One of the benefits of the FlexPath program is you get a 12-week tuition rate where you

can take on as many courses as you can complete in that time comfortably.

You can work as quickly through those courses in 12 weeks as you can or you can work at

a slower pace and it all costs the same rate for 12 weeks.

The master's program is 100% competency-based.

This allows me to learn information on my own time and immediately turn around and use

that in my classroom with my students.

For teachers looking into the FlexPath program, I would recommend it because of its self-paced

nature and the opportunity just to increase your experience, your own knowledge at your

own pace.

FlexPath Movement | Todd: Balancing my schedule - Duration: 2:15.

Hello, everyone.

My name is Todd or Mr. Boyer, as my students call me.

I'm a sponsored FlexPath student in the master's of education program.

Today I wanted to share with you a little bit about how the FlexPath program will allow

me to balance my life, my career, and my education.

First of all, when you look at the FlexPath program, and you compare it to traditional

programs, you'll realize the FlexPath program allows you the opportunity to be flexible.

In traditional programs, you have quarter deadlines.

You have semester deadlines.

All of these things before you can even move on and take the next course.

With the FlexPath program, I'm excited because it's going to allow me to work through the

courses at a pace that I'm comfortable with.

I will be able to be independently driven and choose the times that I want to work when

it works for my schedule.

I work 40 hours a week.

I have a family.

I'm excited to be able to have this flexibility with my schedule.

As I pursue my master's degree, one of the things I'm most excited about with the Flex

Path program, is there are no posts.

There are no forums.

There are no weekly deadlines.

I can work independently through this course, or through these courses, to earn my credit.

I don't have to do all these little assignments.

I can apply my knowledge directly to the assessment for each course.

If I feel the need to learn more about a certain topic before working on the assessment, I

will be provided opportunities to do that, as well.

The FlexPath program is an excellent opportunity for anyone who just cares about their time

and wants to work around their schedule, and have the flexibility to do the things that

you enjoy doing.

I recommend this for all teachers, and I think that it's a great opportunity for anyone looking

to pursue that next level and advance their academic knowledge, and just their overall

experience in education.

That's a little bit about what I wanted to share with you today.

I will be sharing more with you about other topics in the future.

Thanks for joining me and I look forward to talking to you again.
