On its International Innovation Scorecard to identify the most innovative countries...

Technology Association ranked the nation 20th out of 39 leading economies, just behind France

and Spain.

Seoul received the highest grade in R&D Investment... and also scored high points for self-driving

vehicle policy, but fell down in the environment category.

Finland received the highest overall score, Morocco at pit bottom.

Japan and China finished in 25th and 26th.

DIY 3D YOUTUBE PLAY BUTTON | 3D PEN DIY - Duration: 3:40.

Hi friends, this is Anna chi with you and today I'm gonna be making a YouTube Play button with my 3D pen.

Well, first, we'll draw it on a sheet of paper then cover it with an adhesive tape so that that the plastic nicely rests on the top and we can start drawing. We fill the front part of the button in bright red.

We need to densely apply the plastic, just don't forget to leave a place for the triangle

And now we gonna fill the triangle with a white plastic and apply another layer of red one.

The front part is almost ready. Now let's make the backside of the YouTube Play button.

Here, it will be easier to fill because nothing needs to be drawn, just apply the plastic in two layers.

The back part of the YouTube play button is ready and now we need to make its sides so that it doesn't look flat.

For this we'll draw two long and two short sides.

First, we'll fix the front and back of the play button and then fix them among themselves.

We're almost done with our button and now we gonna cover the openings and apply some more plastic on all the sides.

Now all that remains is to align the button. Let's apply a couple of layers of red and white plastic.

So guys that are how our YouTube play button turned out like. It looks good, despite the fact that it is not exactly flat.

Well, making such YouTube play button is not as easy as it sounds. It took me more than four hours to complete it.

And so that the button just doesn't lie on the table, you can make it a fridge magnet.

Grab a magnet, apply some hot glue on it and stick it on the button

and now let's hang it on the fridge.

The YouTube play button looks pretty cool and now it'll always remind me of you.

Moon, Trump agree South Korea, North Korea dialogue could lead to U.S., North Korea talks ... - Duration: 2:11.

Presidents Moon Jae-in and Donald Trump held a phone meeting late Wednesday night.

The American leader was updated on the outcomes of the inter-Korean talks, the duo then agreed

to stay in close consultation in dealing with Pyongyang.

Our chief Blue House correspondent Moon Connyoung starts us off.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Donald Trump view the latest inter-Korean

dialogue as one that could naturally lead to talks between the United States and North

Korea for the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula... after the PyeongChang Winter

Olympics next month.

The Blue House released a statement saying the agreement came during a phone conversation

between the two leaders a day after the two Koreas' rare face-to-face at the border town

of Panmunjom on Tuesday.

President Moon told his U.S. counterpart that the talks had gone well and made note of Mr.

Trump's contribution.

Jan. 10, 2018 "I think President Trump deserves big credit

for bringing about the inter-Korean talks.

It could be a resulting work of the U.S.-led sanctions and pressure."

The two leaders underscored the importance of continuing the maximum pressure campaign

against North Korea... but Seoul's top office also added that the U.S. leader gave his word

that there would be no military action while South, North Korea talks were going on.

He's very thankful for what we've done.

They are having talks with North Korea.

We'll see how that happens."

President Trump expressed his openness to holding talks between the United States and

North Korea at the appropriate time, under the right circumstances.

Hopefully it will lead to success for the world - not just for our country - but for

the world.

And we'll be seeing over the next number of weeks and months what happens."

During the half-an-hour phone conversation, the U.S. leader also told the South Korean

president that Vice President Mike Pence would lead the U.S. Presidential Delegation to the

PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games set to kick off on February 9th.

Team Korea hard at training as PyeongChang 2018 nears - Duration: 3:04.

Olympic athletes are pushing themselves harder than ever as they finally get their moment

to shine in the biggest winter sporting stage.

Team Korea in the hunt for medals... is surely provided with a competitive edge courtesy

of the world-class training facilities.

Lee Ji-won takes us closer to the intense preparations.

Here at Jincheon National Training Center, located southeast of Seoul in Chungcheongbuk-do

Province,...members of the Korean national short track speed skating team are fully immersed

in their rigorous training on the rink.

Short track is Team Korea's winter forte,... and hopes are high that this discipline will

secure at least half of the 8 gold medals Korea aims at winning during next month's

Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.

(Kor) "We have almost completed our fitness training.

Now, we must boost our techniques and speed, as well as work on faults we've had in previous

competitions."

The team lost the last couple of matches due to body contact with other skaters, prompting

the team to focus on this unpredictable variable.

(Kor) "While it's important not to veer too far

from your lane when trying to avoid body contact with an opponent, it is better to be clear

of those situations altogether by speeding up.

So we are putting a lot of emphasis on speed training."

Over at the weight training center, the men's ice hockey team is hard at work, too.

The team has been toughening up its fitness program, as muscle workout is even more important

around this time, not only to enhance power, but also to help the athletes get the right

postures to prevent injuries.

And surprisingly, a lot of the training has been taking off the ice.

(Eng) "All these exercises these players do now,

we have adapted the 'off ice program' that allows them to transfer all their energy off

the ice and onto the ice, so it's become very sport specific."

Team coordination and gaining experience in actual competitions are two other important

factors when it comes to training, especially when the sport is curling.

As such, the Korean curling team is expected to participate in Canada's Grand Slam of Curling

later this week,... where the team members are expected to learn first-hand how to deal

with the pressure of an actual game.

(Kor) These trainings help us adjust to the physical

changes on the ice while hundreds of spectators are watching and cheering.

We are also learning to concentrate and cope with the pressure in an actual game."

Despite the tight schedule,... the Korean women's curling team is hopeful that it'ill

win the country's first gold medal in curling at PyeongChang 2018.

(Standup) "Although each team and each player has different

goals for the upcoming Winter Games, they share the same hope,... of being able to do

their best and show their 4 years of hard work at next month's global sporting event.

Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the weather update.

The country has been issued with cold wave warnings and advisories, and your hands will

feel cold in an instant if you aren't wearing gloves, so layer up as much as you can because

the conditions will get worse through the night.

There's snow down south with a heavy snow alert in effect.

The snow will finally clear by tomorrow morning,... but until then, the west coast of Jeolla-do

province will receive up to 8 centimeters while Jeju Island will see much more.

The freezing night will lead into an even colder morning,... with Seoul at minus 15

degrees Celsius, while Daegu and Busan begin at minus 11 and minus 9 degrees.

The temperature will get a boost during the day,...

Seoul will reach minus 5 degrees, with Gwangju and Busan at minus 2 degrees and 1 degree.

The current cold spell will gradually come to an end as we enter the weekend.

N. Korea could send a team of 20 personnel to Pyeongchang next month - Duration: 1:58.

It's now set in stone.

Pyongyang will be a part of next month's Olympics Games in South Korea.

Let's get some updates on the size of the delegation from up North, what events the

athletes are likely to compete in, and the process involved in ensuring their participation.

Won Jung-hwan has the details.

During the high-level talks between the two Koreas at Panmunjeom on Tuesday, North Korea

expressed an interest in sending around 20 athletes and related staff members to the

2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

According to a senior staff member at the Korean Sports and Olympic Committee, the ratio

between athletes and staff members such as coaches for the Winter Games is normally around

one staff member per athlete,... suggesting that North Korea could send a team of 10 athletes

and 10 related staff members to Pyeongchang next month.

But the final decision on the size of the North Korean team will depend on how many

wild cards are provided by the International Olympics Committee.

Currently, the only North Korean athletes who have successfully qualified for PyeongChang

2018 are the figure skating duo of Ryom Tae-ok and Kim Ju-sik . But even they are not guaranteed

a ticket to PyeongChang as they lost their spots after failing to register by the participation

deadline.

However, hopes are high, as the IOC on Monday extended the deadline for the registration

of North Korean athletes for the games.

And with the special places offered by the IOC's wildcard, Pyongyang's strong short track,

speed skating and women's ice hockey teams could all be competing at the Winter Games

next month.

The final decision will be come on January 20th when the IOC hosts talks in Lausanne,

Switzerland, to discuss North Korea's participation at PyeongChang 2018.

Ahead of the meeting in Lausanne, the Ministry of Unification said on Thursday that South

and North Korea will likely hold working-level talks on the

North's participation in the Winter Olympics.
