WHY I DO YOUTUBE - Duration: 10:00.

Hello everyone! Happy holidays - all that you could possibly be celebrating

Christmas, New year's Chanukah and etc.

I also wanted to say that

the reason why I haven't released a video in the last month

is.. actually quite simple -

I decided to take a break from people I guess..

I still talk to some people, but

I decided that it would be better for me to take a break

I hope you all will be understanding

I'm very sorry if some of you are hurt that I don't talk to you as much

This last year was really crazy and

I truly needed this time to think about different things

I want to talk about something important as well, because

I don't know if you might have heard about this one the news, youtube or other forms of social media

Maybe you know about a certain Youtuber, whose name I don't want to say

I don't want to give him more subscribers, views and etc.

I just don't want you to go and see who he is

To be honest, he doesn't deserve subscribers, views or anything after what he did

He's an american Youtuber who went to Japan and

he filmed a person

in the Japanese suicide forest

while that person was committing suicide.

taking their own life.

and I didn't se the video

It was taken down from youtube

But i believe it got over 60 million views

and it's horrible.. it's..

it made me

it made me very angry to be honest because..

I can't believe that Youtube became this place where people come to

see something that is shocking

and a place of some kinda race

to show that I have more views, subscribers,

I'm making more money.. and

it's truly awful.

it's really horrible

and I'm just sad to know that this platform turned into

this place

and I ask you to not

try to find out the name of that youtuber or watch his videos

of course if you watch them - it's your thing..

Some people asked me whether they should start a youtube channel or not

and my response is simple:

if you are trying to get fame, subscribers, views,

then unfortunately for you, the chances are very slim, because

everyone who was already able to get millions of views and subscribers

have already gotten there and

Youtube is already full of people who have millions of subscribers and views

If you want to bring something new, to inspire people, then

please, you should definitely start a channel

if you enjoy making videos, if you think your videos will make positive change

if they will make someone smile

or start thinking about something important

then of course, I'm all for it, make your channel and message me if

you want recommendations or hints about audio/video recording

But if you're pursuing fame, then there are much better ways to become famous

there are also much more interesting and easier ways

When I started my channel I didn't start it to become famous or get millions of views

At the beginning I started it to share what I'm to with my friends and family

But then I thought that I have a lot to say and

if I could find a place to share my thoughts

with people, this would be a good platform to do it

And i think I have much to say so I want to

share my thoughts and other things

but at the same time, sometimes

I don't want to just do something only because I

want to get views or subscribers

I want to make something that would

change someone's thinking or would bring something good into this world

Sometimes my videos can be funny or sometimes they are sad

and honestly, that's how I am, I can't just be

a happy clown and yell at the camera

*exaggerated youtuber voice* - hello everyone! How are y'all doing?

it's not me..

I'm the way I am and I can't change that

At some point I just understood that I can't be..

someone else if I'm Artem

That's why I needed this month and this time to think

about everything - about my life and about what I want to say and what I want to

give to the world around me and show other people

I don't really have any kind of niche I just do whatever

comes to my mind and that's

how I'm planning to keep this channel, I don't want a niche..

I literally just want to do what comes to my mind

I want this channel to keep being creative

I want this channel to be able to change someone's point of view

and that one could watch this video and think about something important

of course, sometimes I want you to just watch my channel and have a good laugh

Since uploading my last video I spent a great few weeks with my Lalo's parents and his family

We spent Christmas and New Year's with them

To be completely honest, I tried vlogging a little bit, which would be cool to

film everything and then

we'd be able to watch everything

in a few years but

I wanted to live in the moment and not worry that

I didn't get a certain moment or that my hands started shaking while filming something

I just wanted to live through those moments while they lasted

and not think about filming

I hope it's all clear for everyone.. what I'm trying to say..

I hope I didn't offend anyone.

and I'm sorry if I didn't write to some or didn't call

or didn't return messages

we were in the middle of nowhere in California and didn't have internet

about 80% of the time

and if I did have a few moments to be on the internet

it would usually be while we were at Starbucks cuz Lalo wanted to get some coffee.

So I could be on the internet for like.. 5 minutes sometimes

and that's when I'd have service so I'd respond then

I never wanted to pursue quantity over quality

I think that is the classical musician in me

*if someone didn't know that I was a violinist*

the classical musician in me never let me

do something merely for quantity

I don't want to make a video just so

here is my deadline, on Thursday

on Thursdays or Saturdays I release a video

so this Saturday I need to upload a video

If I'm late by two weeks...

that's life!

I can't do anything about that..

*in pretentious voice* The muse cannot be rushed

And this is what really

worries and makes me sad about Youtube right now

because people will do

literally ANYTHING to get

millions of likes, views, subscribers

They'd go such

such horrifying length that they are willing to

film someone's suicide, they wouldn't give

this person

the privacy, dignity

and just last moments of life just

for them to be alone

and not just let them

go peacefully without someone filming their death

it's horrifying..

and thinking about that..

as someone who

was depressed

for the most of my life

I can't believe that people could be this

heartless

To film how someone's committing suicide

It's terrible and

it's very very heartless

Again, I don't want to tell you

the name of this person who filmed it

and I ask you, please, don't give him

views, subscribers, comments

dislikes - all of these are still

encouraging him to make such videos

and if you want to

if you want to make a channel, make videos

please think what you're doing

or filming before you

throw it into the internets

cuz we need to think before doing something

I understand that not all videos should be sad, sentimental

not all videos should be thoughtful and etc.

but understand that even funny videos

should be thought out and (actually funny lol)

We can't just put something out there thinking it's funny

and then say that "oh I didn't realize that

filming someone's death is terrible."

We need to think before doing something

I just basically wanted to say that this last year in my life was...

just crazy...

and I needed this time to

think about everything..

and I keep looking at the wrong spot

yup! that's me!

If you don't like something, you don't have to continue watching my videos

and you can just

even if you hate me after this video

you might just leave a nasty comment and leave

I can't go against myself and be someone i'm not

I hope you can understand that..

Thank you for watching until the end

and I hope to see you in my next video whenever it's uploaded..

Bye!

BongoMoviez INAKUFA - [TzaLive] - Duration: 3:58.

In today's video, I want to talk about BongoMovie

notice that I said "industry", because i am going to compare it with other successful Tanzanian industries like music

Mambo people of the internet, Gift Charles here and welcome to another TzaLive(Kipimo} episode

First of all I think hearing that the BongoMoviez industry is dying isn't a new thing by now

Understand that saying that an industry is dying just means its not as good as it used to be

And if things stay as they are now then this boat might sink completely

and without wasting time, lets get into the video

First we have to understand that here on earth for every industry to advance-

some change will eventually happen, that will make people question their opinions

the downside of this is that it may cause problems like people loosing jobs and money and some companies may die

a good example would be like how youtube is now watchable more than tv overall, worldwide

this is an example of how industries change without people noticing

Clearly this is what is happening to bongo movies as well, all the signs are their

years ago, the accessibility of foreign and local movies were the same

CD's were the major way of getting all kinds of movies

all that mattered was having you movie CD's in as many shops as possible

Now everybody has a smartphone that can stream videos from pretty much anywhere

thus, eliminating the need to buy expensive CD's from stores

Another reason, and this is more of my own personal opinion-

the fact is that Bongomoviez has not grown as an industry at all

I say that because their are people who make movies without marketing them enough

And expect that the people will just get to buy their CD's somehow...

Technical problems with making movies from the past are still present today in bongo movies

Im talking about things like, Lighting, audio, story writing and soundtrack

Their are serious problems in these to this day

I can talk about these things all day

I know their are people who can say that Camera and Money are the problem but I say its simple creativity
