Hello, and happy new year 2018
So I announced some times ago that I have a lot of things to say for this year
And I've decided to do it in video, it's maybe more "social"
But please, be gentle, it's my first video, I'm not accustomed to be in front of the camera
So to be ordoned... I've made a big cleanse on Tipeee and Patreon
Well, the most of it was on Patreon, because previously, Patreon was used for the english version of the Altarion's Cantos
Now it's dedicated on the illustration part of my work.
So why ? Because it's clear for me : I'm working on two exhibitions in 2018 and 2019
And then, I'll work on a Tarot.
The first exhibition is inspired from fairytales, and not only the Disney's
So you won't find any Disney related drawings
And well, fairytales inspires me and I'm redrawing them in my way
And i named this first exhibition "Twisted fairytales"
I'm really sorry to say, there will be no cute and gentle Elza
Reaaally sorry
And there's no disney songs too...
So why do I transform Patreon for Illustrations
It's mainly to help me and support all the artwork
Because it means huge work before (making the exhibition)
So, lots of time and lots of materials to buy
Because illustration is expensive !
Ok, so to be simple : people who give me their support on Patreon, gives support on ONE illustration
Not monthly like Tipeee
It means that when the illustration is ended, you can decide to support the next one, or... nothing more.
Rest assured I won't do more than one or two illustration per month because it takes lots of time
About rewards, since it's for illustration, rewards will be related to the illustration in progress
So there will be no selling afterwards, nor on my website or conventions
It's Patreon exclusivities
So, as I mentioned an artbook (on Patreon), yes, there will be an artbook for each exhibition and the tarot
The artbook will contain the process of thinking, explain the different graphic choices, the visual construction, the colors

there will be some tutorials too
But quite simple because I mentioned "step by step tutorials" in the Patreon rewards
So the Patreon tutorials will be more developed than in the artbook because it's not the main purpose of an artbook.
It's possible that this exhibition will be done with another artist
An absolutely talented photograph called Myrä Eird Photography
But since it's only a project we didn't discuss that much, I can't confirm anything
I'll give more informations as soon as I can
For Tipeee now, there's no big changes
It's still axed on Altarion's Cantos
But it's now in french and english since there's lot of english speaking people who follow the Cantos
Yeah, it surprised me too ! But it's true !
So, as I said, no big change, the fundamentals are the same as before
It's a monthly support
It began at 1 € for Patreon and Tipeee
No needs to kill your wallet
For Tipeee, I won't do weekly comic strips as before, it tooks me too much time
I'd rather use 100% of my time on the Altarion's Cantos and the exhibitions
But the same as Patreon, the rewards are reserved for Tipeee exclusivity
So you won't find them on shop, conventions or on my website
It's really a Tipeee exclusivity
That was the main changes
I really hope that people who's watching me knows about the Altarion's Cantos, if not, i'm really embarrassed
I'll do a little resume for the ignorant ones
Altarion's Cantos is an european comic book saga
there will be around 20 volumes, I don't know the right number now, but it's important to know that more than the half of it is already written
The Cantos will be divided in three parts, three "Arcs", for three ages of the story
Because the Cantos timeline is really long
It was born from an uchrony
Dinosaurs didn't die because of an asteroid fallen on earth
No, in my story, they died because of a magical incident which deprive earth from all its magic
It's why everything paranormal, fantastic creatures and witches are myth and fairytales
And aren't part of our daily reality
Of course, Altarion doesn't disapear, and is transported in another universe
And then, the first Arc tells how this magical incident happens
The second one tells what happens to Altarion in a parallel universe
And the third Arcs tells "what could be happen if Magic come back during 21th century ???"
So this is a really short resume of the Altarion's Cantos
Now i'm working full time on the first volume
That's why I really need support to buy the materials
but also because it takes me lots of time, so, no time left to do something else
It's really a full time voluntary
So, any support on Tipeee or Patreon are really welcome, it will give me some rewards for all the time invested.
I think I said the most important news
I will talk quickly about the artist group [Art]efact
I already talked about it on Facebook
So about this artist group, something important must be said 'coz there's some misunderstanding
It isn't a publishing house !
The purpose is absolutely not to publish books, novels and comic books
The purpose is to help each other (Artists and writters) to be seen and to be "public"
And to do that, we'll have to be present during events and conventions
And working together as an artist group will give us the opportunity to participate to events and conventions with lower funds
The artist group will also do a little publication, a quarterly
This publication will be downloadable freely
there will be also a paper one to buy, but only to cover the printing costs, not paying copyrights
If there's too much money, it will be used to pay the artist group participation on events and conventions.
And well...
I don't know if you're concerned, but lots of artists and writters are shy
We are good at drawing or writting, but when it comes to be in front of a crowd, it's a different story
But being in an artist group means being together, knowing each other
and so there's a better understanding of each other
And it's easier to be in front of the public with people we know than being alone
Lost behind a table
With our drawing
or our novels
and we have to sign books
And speak to people
And and and... *panic*
So the artist group means helping hand between us, to increase popularity, to participate in events, and so on.
this is the purpose of [Art]efact
I hope it made things clear : No, we are not a publishing house, we can't pay copyright, it's not our purpose.
I think I've told you everything I need, i hope i don't forget anything
If I do, I'll made another video
