Waching daily Jan 22 2018

Hey everybody this is Randy Santel "Atlas" with Atlas & Zeus Promotions and

proud owner of foodchallenges.com! Extra-extra very very excited tonight

I'm going for overall wins number 499 and I have to win because number 500 is

gonna be tomorrow I've been promoting it, but I am in Saint Mary's of Sydney New

South Wales which is st. Mary's a little bit west of Sydney I am at Big G's

Pizzeria I'm taking on Big G's 24-inch Monster Pizza Challenge now this thing

is a monster it's 24 inches diameter it's about 2 and a half kilos total they

said you've got to have four toppings one has to be a meat to be healthy and

what with grilled chicken and then for the other three I run with vegetables I

got a whole bunch of jalapenos I've got red and green peppers and then

I went with onions but I've got one hour to finish this thing, 13 people have

tried only one person has been able to win if I lose it's going to be 60

Australian dollars but if I win I'll get the meal free and I will get the 100

dollar jackpot so let's get this challenge started!

All right now the jackpot grows as people lose but my friend Issac Martin

(Sir-Eats-A-Lot) I've done a challenge with him in New York City but he was the last

person to finish this thing in his record time was 51 minutes so I'm gonna

try to smash that but because nobody else has tried it the record for the

jackpot he's only at $100 but along with this pizza within the hour I have to

finish a whole 1.25 liter Bing of soda which I left with Pepsi Max no calories

I'm going to start with some water but then I'll switch the soda after that but

got my timer here, napkins this pizza looks awesome! 1, 2, 3. . . Boom!

Some of the middle which looks awesome!

All right 4 minutes and 25 seconds in I'm crushing this thing because it's so

good I forgot that they had two options of sauce red sauce or because I went

with chicken I got barbecue sauce and it is frickin awesome! This is the best pizza I've had in along

time but it goes really well with there were a hundred percent mozzarella cheese but oh let's get this thing down

and just kill it awesome pizza!

9 minutes and 52 seconds 10 awesome pizza!

Just over 13 and a half minutes in this is where I'm glad I got the soda to

get all this crust down!

18 minutes and 50 seconds in almost there is couple bites left.

couple pieces

Thank goodness most of that barbecue sauce gone, awesome in the middle, but not so much now

all right soda was getting car warm so finish that and get the win!

25 minutes in 39 seconds so it's the official new record for Big G's Monster

24-inch Pizza Challenge hear in St. Mary's of Sydney New South Wales on

Australia. Awesome awesome challenge and yeah I

made sure to finish the soda I'm like that dumb mu and Jameson town a couple

weeks back or a couple of days back but I'm going to get this sixty Australian

dollar meal for free I will get one hundred Australian dollars cash I'll be

on their Wall of Fame as the second person to finish and the new record

holder so good to join my friend Issac upon the wall of fame like I said he did

it in 51 minutes but I've even with him before I'm sure he was probably going at

a medium pace on that one but thank you to Big G's here in St. Mary's thank

you guys all for staying to watch and thank you guys for watching - it was

awesome pizza both every bit of that was very happy to be done with the crust,

the barbecue sauce along with the mozzarella cheese about 1 kilo crust and

then those toppings on there were great! right thank you guys for watching!

IBA Global stands for, Irving Backman and Associates, who is the founder of the company.

It was started in the USA, and we now have an extension here in Colombia.

How was childhood obesity a driving factor behind this business?

It was one of the main things that inspired our founder Irving Backman

to start this initiative, with the future of children's health in mind.

Tell me a little bit about Project Sprout (Proyecto Retoño).

The educational system called Proyecto Retoño contains

science, technology, engineering and math.

With the machine, we teach about plumbing, electricity, water management, sustainability, nutrition and finance.

This program is being taught to children of all ages.

The machine with its completely sustainable hydroponic system

uses very little water and requires a small amount of attention,

but basically allows the plants to grow by themselves.

What has been the children's reaction to the equipment?

It fascinates them. You have both nature and technology combined,

which greatly attracts the kids to want to use the system.

Can you grow plants year-round?

Yes, you can grow plants year-round from balconies, in apartments, patios and practically anywhere.

Who is the machines principal client?

The main client are people looking for sustainability,

as well higher quality nutrition without chemicals or pesticides.

What is the future impact?

Important FIBER Information! www.LouiseAndMary.com www.MyWallofFire.com - Duration: 10:35.

Hi everyone and welcome! I am Mary from www.LouiseAndMary.com. Today we are

going to talk about something really important that we need in our diets

every day - FIBER! But before we talk about the

specifics of fiber let's talk about what fiber really is. Fiber is something that

is found in basically foods that have structure and it helps a plant be a

plant and have form, for instance. But fiber is a carbohydrate, so it's

considered by your body to help create energy. That's what a carbohydrate is.

A carbohydrate is used by your body to create energy. A carbohydrate is

considered a macronutrient meaning that we need large amounts of carbohydrates

every day. But fiber is considered an essential nutrient because we cannot

make it but we need it. That's what essential means. Essential means your

body needs whatever this is, but it cannot make it, so you need to bring it

in from your diet every day. So fiber is a carbohydrate. We need it every day,

but we cannot produce it. Another important thing to know about fiber

is that even though it's a carbohydrate it does not metabolize to blood sugar, so

it's safe for people who are concerned about their blood sugar levels.

We can get into more of this. One of the sources that I will quote for you today

is from one of the books I'm using in school. I'm in school to further my

nutrition education. One of the books we're using is called, "Natural Health and

Nutrition" and it's written by Dr. Lawrence DeSantis, who is a naturopath

doctor. He divides fiber into the soluble and the insoluble fiber. Soluble

fiber is something that dissolves in water. Insoluble fiber does not dissolve

in water. They're both important. We need them both every day, but let's talk about

soluble fiber first. Soluble fiber dissolves in water, as we said. It is

found in fruits and grains and vegetables. You can find soluble fiber in

apples, oatmeal, oat bran, sesame seeds, rye flour, and dried beans. These are just

examples. But this type of fiber is really important because in water

it dissolves and becomes like a gel and that gel is really important because it

helps to absorb and remove things like unwanted metals and toxins from your

body. It also helps regulate blood sugar because when it's in your intestines it

retards (it stops) the absorption of glucose. It also helps lower

cholesterol by binding to cholesterol in your blood and taking out the bad

cholesterol. So we need soluble fiber in our diets to help pull unwanted things

from our diets and get them out, but this is where the insoluble fiber comes into

play. This is really important. Insoluble fiber does not dissolve in our

bodies, but our bodies use insoluble fiber to add bulk to our bowel movements.

Our colons are considered a muscle in our body and muscles need to be worked

in order to be healthy, so by having good healthy large bowel movements, by having

fiber in your diet, you're actually working the muscle of your bowels and

you're going to help your body be healthier. The important thing to know is that it

helps with dealing with constipation because it's adding bulk. Insoluble

fiber is in your colon and it's adding bulk and it's also being used as

like a broom to sweep out your colon and get out the bad. You just don't want any

bad in your body anywhere. OK. This is also important Fiber helps prevent colon

cancer because insoluble fiber stops the accumulation of toxic

substances that cause cancer in the colon. So by being used as a broom, it's

stopping your colon from absorbing things that are toxic. So it's another

benefit of having insoluble fiber. There's one more thing that's really

important to know. Insoluble fiber - your body cannot digest it, but your body uses

it as food for the good bacteria that's in your colon. You know you need to

have good bacteria in your colon to take care of

the bad bacteria. Well, the good bacteria needs food and one of the foods that it

eats is fiber: insoluble fiber. So when you have insoluble fiber in your colon,

you're actually helping the good bacteria by providing food. And by having

more good bacteria in your colon, you're helping your body to be healthier

because the majority of your immune system is in your colon and if you have

a lot of good bacteria in your colon you're going to have a healthier colon. This

is really, really important stuff. We can help have heart health by lowering our

cholesterol. We can help our body's load by dealing with the toxin level by

getting rid of it by the soluble and insoluble fiber. And according to Dr.

William Davis, it's important to understand that we're going to add fiber to

our diet by our foods, but we want to count our carbs. We don't want to just be

adding fiber through carbohydrates randomly. We need to understand that we

can add fiber without increasing our carb account. So Dr. William Davis in his

book talks about something called net carbohydrates. You can take the amount of

the carbohydrate that's in a food and subtract the amount of fiber in

it and that is your net carbohydrate. So, according to Dr. William Davis, again we

are trying to keep our carb - our net carb - count to 15 grams at every meal. By

counting our carbs, subtracting the fiber that our bodies will use because our

bodies are not going to make the

fiber to be used as a carbohydrate to make your blood sugar go up, so you don't

need to worry about counting the fiber. So you can take the carbohydrate that's

in a food, minus the amount of fiber in that food, and that will give you your net

carbohydrate. That's what you need to know is your net carbohydrate. Keep that

according to Dr. William Davis to 15 grams per meal. So you're going to ask,

"Well, grains are suggested by the health agencies because of their fiber intake."

It is possible to take out grains from your diet and still

get the fiber that you need . According to Dr. William Davis, if you follow the diet

of healthy eating , so you've taken out the grains: the wheat, the barley, the rye,

the oats, the rice. You've taken out the grains and now you're eating single

ingredient natural foods. So you're eating vegetables; you're eating protein;

you're eating eggs; you're eating food that naturally contains fiber soluble

and insoluble fiber. And that typically is enough for people. But for

people who are dealing with constipation and who need more fiber in their diet

again, from Dr. William Davis, he promotes just adding bulk by adding golden

flaxseed, chia seeds and psyllium seeds to your diet. Just put those seeds, just put a

tablespoon of those seeds in your food and you'll be adding more bulk

to your diet in the form of fiber. But it's important to hydrate even more so

drink even more if you're going to be adding fiber to your diet. So I hope you

found this information helpful. I know it's a lot for one video, but fiber is

really important. We need it in so many different ways and it is essential so we

need to be getting it in our diets every day. But by adding fiber to our diet, we

don't want to make our carbs skyrocket because so many people are dealing with

blood sugar issues. So there's a safe way to count your carbs. You can get an app

on your smartphone. You enter in the food you're thinking about eating, say a banana

and it will tell you how many carbs are in a banana and then it's going to tell you

how many grams of fiber are in that banana. So you take the carbs that are in

the banana, minus the fiber that's in the banana, and that will give you your net

carbs. You want to keep your net carbs to 15 grams per meal. So if a banana

has too many carbs and you want to eat a banana, eat a half a banana. Eat a smaller

apple. You can keep your carbs in control

by watching what you eat and I know it sounds like it's an inconvenience to be

using an app on your smartphone or to be counting carbs and subtracting

the fiber, but once you get the hang of it after a while it just is natural. It

really is easy. It's it's a big deal to begin with - I mean it sounds like a

big deal - but it's really not and then once you get the hang of it, it's easy to

maintain a low-carb diet. So Dr. William Davis promotes going grain-free and keeping

your carbs in check. We'll go into more of what Dr. William Davis talks

about, but it's important just to understand you can add fiber without

making your carbs skyrocket. I hope you found this information helpful. Again,

I'm Mary from LouiseAndMary.com. You can find us on our website and all

of our videos are there and also I'm the author of a book called, "My Wall of Fire."

It was recently released from the publisher. I actually wrote a book when I

was fighting for my health - battling against dental toxins, so when I read

about the importance of soluble fiber pulling out metals and toxins from your

from your body, I really wanted to make this video to pass along that

information to help people. Lots of people are dealing with dental toxins

from their dental work from their cavities, their fillings, their crowns,

their bridges, their implants, whatever they're dealing with and by having

insoluble and soluble fiber in your diet it can help you be healthier. So, I hope

you found this information helpful and until we meet again know that together

we can make a change. Together we can make a difference. I hope you have a

wonderful and heart-healthy day. Thanks for your time. Bye!

Supplier and Contractor Qualification - Duration: 6:11.

we're going to ask each of the speakers to do kind of their key takeaways here

and the way we're going to do this is probably in the reverse way I typically

do this as in the reverse order we present it so I think we'll start with

dr. del Tito and then we'll go to Nikki and then we'll go to Florian if each of

you could just take a moment to summarize what you think should be key

takeaways from your presentation we have a little bit of time so we don't

have to rush through it but certainly not asking you to stretch it either just

give our audience kind of this is what you should take away from my portion of

the presentation then I'll come back on the line and we'll wrap so let's start

with dr. del Tito please okay thanks so I would say that a couple of items says

them are key takeaways from the presentation that I've provided one is

around the risk assessment which you'll often do at the beginning of the of

qualification of a vendor I think this determines a lot of the vendor

qualification expectations because it it will determine the need for an on-site

presence it will also determine the type of audit that you're going to perform

and it might also determine the level of cGMP control that's going to be required

for that vendor so it gives you a very good indication of what to expect from a

vendor or what not to expect from the vendor as it were so that's one key

takeaway I think the other one is quality agreements which I alluded to

quite a few times during the presentation because they they really do

govern the relationship between sponsor and the sender in terms of quality

expectations quality oversight and the life so I think that it will dictate to

what extent quality is expected from the vendor and and what you can expect a

vendor to to commit to and that's really important to do up front and get a good

agreement it's not to say that you can't revise

down the road because as I said it's a living document but it's best to try and

get that established upfront and to get agreement on that so that you're both on

the same page when issues come up and there's not as many discrepancies that

need to be escalated so those are those would be the two main items I would say

that to take away from this presentation great thank you for that that's been

dealt IDO Thank You Nikki do you want to give us your takeaways please yes I

suppose I'll come up with two as well and to actually completely different

different ones if you like from one is more from the human side if you like and

I think one is more from the technology side and so for me it's all about

collaboration and working together and that's something that premier always

focuses on whether we like clients you know it's getting it right at the

beginning making sure everyone is on the same page and everyone is focused on

what needs to be done and when it needs to be done so fairly close collaboration

and working together so that's the human side and then and then or more on the

technology if you like we are seeing more and more virtual audits take place

and I suppose that those relationships are developing with our clients a lot of

our clients are conducting virtual audits on us now we're something to do

that which works very well and and also we do do some contracting out as well so

we have some vendors in some of the geographies where we don't work for

example and some of the services we don't cover like laboratories and and we

do do some virtual audits on on our clients as well and they all on our and

vendors as well and they do also work very well but again if you've got

established relationships and collaboration and Trust and I think they

work very well together okay Thank You Nikki that's our the great two sides of

that's very very good thank you and then finally let's go to florian fluorine do

you want to give us your your final key takeaways all right thank you I think is

Aldi and Honda 90 and dr. Onodera Tito and the filth thing and

I'm really like stepping back a little early and when I was preparing for this

webinar and just as the guys always when we talk about the European contractor

framework it's almost like we're thinking of it as a separate EDA entity

that's within our environment and of course as we are today I think that's

definitely not the case I mean supply your vendor management in general is

definitely one inputs but input your own governments risk and compliance

ecosystem of an enterprise so it should definitely not be dissociated to it so

the the risk or the risk an issue that we'll be talking about we should be

embedded or closed again all the quality processes and that we should be focusing

on the importance of measuring everything as the transactions between

the vendors and the organization okay and that means that the companies you

know they should not add together together all the transactions and number

of sequence at the quarter end but then should really be able to see the

measures on demand so the again for the technology segments I'm indeed the

cheapens and complete quality enterprise management system again we don't believe

as well effectiveness checks because all those processes should be definitely

supporting that entire on Sakai inquire in contract of framework and barely door

who's within the the the contract given organization I think those with pretty

much sir

you

Vacation Rental Potential Episode 6 | 5 to Know - Duration: 3:31.

When purchasing a vacation rental, it's important to do your research and base

your investment decisions on real data.

It's easy to get swept up in the emotions of a purchase

and ignore the dollars incentive at all.

Here are a few important tips to keep in mind as you start

your search for the perfect vacation rental property.

When choosing a market to invest in,

it's really important to research carefully.

First order of business: check with the municipalities you're interested in

to determine if they allow vacation rentals, especially in urban areas.

Don't get stuck with a property you can't even legally rent.

Next, I'd suggest looking at the trend report

on the HomeAway website.

It's a great source of information for

what's hot in vacation rentals.

Did you know that Panama City Beach, Florida is

the top rental destination in the USA?

Or the demand for vacation house boats grew by 40% last year?

Then, I suggest visiting the market you're interested in

and booking a vacation yourself.

This will allow you to really experience the town

through the eyes of a tourist.

It will also give you insight into the guests experience

and what your competition is doing,

allowing you to make your home stand out in the crowd.

Once you've decided on a market,

the next step is to choose the ideal neighborhood.

Look for properties close to restaurants, beaches,

ski lifts and other attractions that people want to be close to.

Walkability to top attractions like beaches and nightlife

a great selling feature.

From there, head to the HomeAway website and search for

properties in the neighborhoods you're interested in.

That will give you an idea of an average nightly rental rate.

When choosing a property, make sure that if

you ever need to sell it, you can profit from it immediately.

A great way to do this, is to purchase the worst house on the best street

and make some quick improvements to build equity.

But if you're looking for immediate cash flow,

you'll want to find a property that's no more than 15 years old and has

been well-maintained.

That way you're less likely to be slammed with expensive repair bills later.

Whenever possible, look for a furnished property.

Even the existing furniture isn't your ideal, it still gives you a starting point.

That way you can use the income generated to slowly upgrade over time.

Sometimes old furniture can be transformed easily

and cheaply with just a can of paint.

When it's time to upgrade, there are several things you

can do right away to increase equity in your home.

First, I always suggest using higher-end finishes.

If you don't stand out from the competition, you won't achieve a positive cash flow.

Install quality blinds, swap out worn door knobs

and don't underestimate the power of great lighting.

Pay attention to the details.

Foodies for example, love high-end kitchen appliances

even if they never use them on a vacation.

But they add that wow factor renters are looking for.

And if you have an in-between room like a loft,

add beds, to make sure you can sleep as many as possible.

The more bodies you can comfortably sleep,

the more money you can potentially make.

If you keep these steps in mind when purchasing a vacation rental,

you'll have a money maker.

Giving you more time to focus on what's really important in your life.

On Sunday President Trump hammered Democrats again.

President Trump: Great to see how hard Republicans are fighting for our Military and Safety at

OKAY….let's get into this list…For all the humans watching, these are the things

the vast majority of us can't do… all robots and superhumans, disregard. Oh….and

I am going to try some of them…. Because maybe today is the day I find out I am a mutant….

Or maybe not. Who knows.

10 - Touch your nose with your tongue Ah, it's a classic…. But the majority

of us simply can't do this. Let me give it a go.

Yeah. No. Those who do have the ability to touch their

nose with their tongue make up ten percent of the general population…the act even has

its own medical term, called the Gorlin Sign.

9 - Tickle Yourself…. I am pretty ticklish…. I don't like being

tickled very much…. My neck and my legs are the most ticklish….. I feel like I need

to get someone to tickle me to demonstrate! But then when I try and tickle myself…it's

all good. I can touch my own neck…  Why is this? Well a study at University

College London showed that the cerebellum in the brain is able to pre-empt sensations

when your own movement causes them, but does not pre-empt sensation when someone else moves

to touch you.. so when you try to tickle yourself, the cerebellum predicts the sensation

and this prediction is used to cancel the response of other brain areas to the tickle.

8 - Waggle Your Ears. Can you waggle your ears? No? This is me trying

to waggle my ears…. Its…well…it's just not happening is it!

So apparently, ear waggling is a learned skill…and you can achieve this ultimate life goal by

gaining a better control of your facial muscles….although most people won't bother to do this.

Sleep with one eye open…or….any eyes open, for that matter…..

7 - Lift Your Ring Finger So most people can't lift their ring finger

when they place their hand on a flat surface with their middle finger bent in. Let's

see if I can do it.

6 - Sneeze with your eyes open I am a big sneeze. I sneeze a lot…. But

I have never sneezed with my eyes open. I can FAKE sneeze with my eyes open…… like……****

I think, but real sneezes invoke real reflexes. The nose and eyes are linked by cranial nerves,

which means that the network of nerves is triggered by a sneeze, causing you to blink.

While this is the case for the vast majority of people, there are a few out there who ARE

able to sneeze with their eyes open. More with the eyes up next….

5 – Sleep with your eyes open Despite Metalica demanding we sleep with one

eye open…. It is actually pretty darn difficult to do! There are several reasons we sleep

with our eyes closed, and this is because 1, it blocks out external stimuli that might

be distracting, like light, and 2 because it protects our eyes from getting dry and

gives them a good rest. The vast majority of us could not fall asleep with our eyes

closed if we tried. It is just more comfortable to close those peepers. That being said, there

is a rare sleep disorder called nocturnal lago phth almos which means some people are

unable to close their eyes when they sleep, which can cause them lots of problems.

4 - Put Your Own Fist In your Mouth *try it*

I just cant….no matter how hard I try, that baby doesn't fit! Although huge shout out

to my crazy friend Lizzie who is in the minority of humans who can indeed manage it. She also

once fit like 57 grapes in her mouth at one time. What a pro. The reason most people can't

do this is simple …. Their fists are too big for their mouths… but of course there

are the lucky exceptions….like lizzie!

3– Touch Fire Without Feeling Pain Most of us can't touch something hot, or

cut our finger on something sharp without feeling pain. Pain is a natural warning sign

and it helps us learn our boundaries as humans. Pain is crucial to survival However, there

is a very rare condition called Congenital Insensitivity to Pain, and those who suffer

with it are unable to feel physical pain. Obviously I am not going to test this one

out as I know that I can feel pain and I really don't fancy feeling it right now

2 - Lick their elbow OH, it is another classic! Unless you are

double jointed, most humans can't lick their own elbows…our bodies just aren't designed

that way…and really…why would we? I guess if our elbow gets dipped in something delicious?!

*Try it*

Finally…at number 1 1 – You can't hold your breath for longer

than 2 minutes Most people just can't do this…. And those

that can train to be able to do it. Most humans can't survive for more than five minutes

without air…. But there are some people who are seemingly super human…The Guinness

World Record for holding your breath underwater is held by Ricardo Bahia of Brazil who managed

this feat of superhuman endurance for a whopping 20 minutes 21 seconds!

OKAY I thought, what better way to end this video than by trying it myself and possibly

passing out…right? Here is my attempt at breaking the world record for holding my breath

….

Okay….so that was the top 10 things most humans can't do…can you do anything on

this list? Let me know in the comments section below.

For now, I am your Most Amazing average human host, Rebecca Felgate, if you liked this video,

2017 FAVOURITES // books, music, films, coming out, etc! [CC] - Duration: 11:40.

I was thinking it really hadn't been that long since I last put up a video

and then I pulled out my camera and it was covered in dust so I guess that's pretty

telling. what is time? who knows, not me. hello

everybody, so in an effort to give myself less work and less old outdated videos

to catch up with I've decided to combine my 2017 favorites video and 2017

favorites books video. I'm gonna start with music because that's the closest

thing to me currently. I have two favorite albums of 2017 and they are by

probably my two favorite artists. two of the only people I actually listen to.

the first one is Kesha. This is rainbow by Kesha which is an incredible female

empowerment album that I--me and all of my friends listen to constantly. one of the

best friends got me tickets to see Kesha in July in Long Island and I'm pumped.

so definitely one of my favorite albums of last year. favorite songs are probably

hymn and rainbow I listen to them daily so amazing album. my second favorite

album of last year was stars there is no love in fluorescent light. I've been

listening to stars for probably about 11 years now maybe longer. they're my favorite

band of all time. on this album I have so many favorites.

I loved fluorescent light, I love we called it love, alone, privilege. I loved

it all basically. this is a wonderful album, really soothing. I love listening

to it on vinyl especially. yeah, those are my two favorite albums of last year. I

don't listen to a ton of music but if I were to name two favorite artists, it'd be

Kesha and Stars, so relevant and they put both put albums last year for the first

time in a few years so that was really wonderful for me. my next favorites are

my two favorite films of 2017 which the first one is Lady Bird starring directed

by Greta Gerwig, starring Saoirse Ronan, obviously. Saoirse Ronan is one of my

favorite actors of all time. I have been following her career religiously for a

very long time. I love her so much. the film is an incredible story of

relationship between a mother and a daughter, a daughter who wants to break

free from the life that she's known for her whole life and explore different

side of herself and kind of that manipulative relationship that mothers

and daughters tend to have. it's a really, really great.

I recommend it. so happy Saoirse won the Golden Globe.

I'm so proud. a second favourite film or my other favorite film is The Big Sick, which is

hilarious. if you didn't hear about The Big Sick, it is the story of a Middle

Eastern guy dating a white girl and shortly into their relationship the girl

is sent to the hospital and falls into a coma. her parents come

and they've never met the guy before cause they've only been dating for a little bit of

time and they'd actually recently broken up and we're in kind of weird

terms but it's actually the story of the director and main actor in the films

like that's it's their love story and it's very strange and very very funny

and I super recommend it if you haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet. two

random favorites before I get into the books first one is my KeepCup. I've

talked about Keepcups in the past but I finally got a glass one which I love way

more than I love the plastic one. it doesn't hold any sort of flavors.

sometimes I could really only use my other keep cup for coffee because it had a

coffee taste. it was made of plastic so it kind of always lingered coffee taste

which is fine because that's normally what I use it for, but this is glass.

better for the environment also just like more satisfying to hold. also it's

smaller than my other one and I never finish large drinks so this is more

useful anyway. and one makeup item is pretty much the only new makeup item I

bought in the year of 2017 and it's the modern renaissance palette by I feel like

people say this differently, anastasia beverly hills. it's a makeup

palette looks like this you can tell which colors i use, like this one, I use

this one for my eyebrows, whatever. cruelty-free, just great colors. I love

all the like red tones and pink tones it's pretty much the only makeup I use.

no, the only eye shadow I use, not the only makeup I use, let's be real. and on

to the books! I'm like breezing through this really quickly because I know that

everyone has already seen a thousand 2017 favorites videos and no one wants

to watch me talk about anything for that long, so whatever. I had a lot of like

runners-up for favorite books. I loved how to make a wish by Ashley herring

Blake, Saints and Misfits by S.K. Ali, you bring the distant near by

Mitali Perkins, human acts by Han Kang was amazing. they're just so so many that

I could talk about. I read 103 books last year, so I was pretty busy when it comes

to reading. these are my top five. they're the five that I feel like I think about

the most, that I recommend the most and that have stuck with me the most. not

necessarily the best books I read but some of them are but yeah. coming in at

number five I have The Mothers by Brit Bennett. I actually got to meet Brit Bennett

recently which was amazing. it's a story of a girl who has to make the

decision to have an abortion and how that decision affects her life. the story

about family and taking care of family and it's all told from... it opens every

chapter with kind of a Greek chorus from the mothers or the elders of this

african-american San Diego community. it's so good, I think about it often.

great story of women. the women in this story are really powerful. the men are

also written really well which I know sometimes when a story is so heavily

focused on women, the men suffer, but great characterization. Loved this book.

I can't wait for Brit Bennett's next book because this was her debut and it was

amazing. next up we have the book that I most saw myself in I feel like in 2017

and that's a Little and Lion by Brandy Colbert

I assume it's Colbert because that's how Stephen Colbert says his name, could be

Colbert. this is another family focus story. it's a story of a girl named

Suzette who goes to boarding school and while she's at boarding school she comes

out to herself as queer. she's not quite sure on terms yet. I felt very strongly

about her representation and like the way she felt about her sexuality was a

little how I felt about my sexuality. I identify as pansexual, she identifies as bisexual

I think by the end of book, but it's very similar to me. and her brother-- her and

her brother are very close. they're technically half siblings but they're

also a multiracial, multicultural family. her brother and his father are Jewish.

Comes in...and they married into her family which is black. her brother has bipolar

disorder and it really affects his life and the reason

she goes away for a while is because of that and we come back into his life and

we see how he's dealing with it and the story just unfolds. It's a lot about

sexuality, a lot about the accepting of other people and different cultures and

ableism and a lot of discussion on ableism as one other characters is deaf

and or partially deaf and it's just it's so good. like, so many little things make

it wonderful and I love it. I recommend it all of the time now. one of my

favorite YA books. I really want to reread it actually. number three on my

list is We Are Okay by Nina Lacour. honestly one of the most beautifully

written books I've ever read. I loved this book so much. it's a story of a

queer girl who deals with a huge incident in her family and she goes up

to start a freshman year at school. she's from California goes all the way to

upstate New York and this story takes place during her winter break where she

stays on campus but everyone else is gone. it takes place in this really cold,

barren landscape of upstate New York, college campus where no one else is.

there such an evocative setting and really gives you the feel of what

she's going through. and it also deals with her relationship

with her best friend / someone she has had more of a relationship with. another

story with really strong family ties, queer, wonderful, beautifully written and

just a really powerful setting. my second favorite book of 2017 was Homegoing by

Yaa Gyasi. this actually came out in 2016 in the US, but 17 in the UK which is

where this beautiful color cover is from. I adore it.

homegoing is a multi-generational story which I found that I loved in 2017. I

loved stories about families throughout history. this is like a hundred years of

generations, like seven generations following our initial two characters

which are two half-siblings in Ghana. one of them is sold into slavery and one of

them marries a white... is married off to a white man in Ghana and it just follows

their stories. following that each chapter is another

descendant of one of the initial two sisters and it

goes back and forth up until modern day and I just love it. it's a story of

racism in America and like the the core of it and the history of it how it

affects throughout time, how it is affected black men and women and all

genders, and it's so this is another debut cannot wait for a second book. so

excited about her. yeah, I really recommend this if you're looking... if

you're also someone who reads more YA and looking to branch into more

contemporary literature, I really recommend this, it's incredible. and no

one is surprised that my favorite book of last year was Strange the Dreamer by

Laini Taylor. I am a die-hard Laini Taylor fan, Lazlo strange is everything

to me. her writing is beautiful and lyrical and

I absolutely love it. this is story for people who love reading and love books

and love exploring different worlds through those books and it's so good.

it's such a wonderful fantasy story and I found that I've fallen out of love

with fantasy. I have not been into most fantasy I've read recently, but this is

definitely an exception. it's incredible. I'm eagerly anticipated this sequel. it

was supposed to be a standalone, she ended up writing too much and made it a

duology which is fine maybe because I want more Lazlo. it's a story of a city

that goes missing from time and memory and a boy who wants to find what took

place there, who was there, the stories of the people there, and it's just so good.

if I haven't convinced you to read this by now, like, I probably never will so I

accept that and am moving forward with my life but I seriously think you should

pick it up. and those are my top 5 favorite books. those are my favorites in

general. I do have one other like personal favorite. um I came out in the

year 2017. I came out as pansexual and it has been such a relief. I didn't realize

that it was a weight on me, not telling people, but I started coming out in

January last year and I spent the rest of the year and will spend the rest of

my life coming out, but I've gotten so much positive feedback from people in my

life from the internet and from just everyone which I'm very lucky and very

fortunate with that and I don't take that for granted for a second but it's been

incredible. I love being out, love being a part of the queer community

more openly, and actively, and yeah. I also get to have like, really gay

photoshoots with my girlfriend and like, who could want more than that?

and that's all for me! I'm sure I have loads of other favorites. I might

actually do like a more updated favorites coming up soon because they do

a few things that I got either for Christmas or since 2017 that I know that

I've already incorporated heavily it's my life. I will want to talk about more

things. I do want to get back into making videos. I've been so busy with like a

busy social life which was never happened to me before but that's why

I've been away. thank you for sticking around and thank you for your patience.

let me know what your favorites books, films, music, whatever of 2017 were

or even since then down below, and I'll see you real soon.

have a wonderful day

What You Probably Never Knew About IHOP - Duration: 4:21.

You can make pancakes at home pretty easily, but head out for a meal at IHOP, and it's

easy to please the entire family.

IHOP is so iconic that you can identify the shape of the building long before you even

catch a glimpse of a sign, but there are still plenty of things you might not know about

this American family favorite.

From bombs to IHOP

IHOP's founder Al Lapin, Jr. got his start in the movie business after serving in World

War II.

While in film school, he got a job making movies for the US government about how to

survive a nuclear attack, including obtaining basic necessities.

Lapin started thinking about how coffee fit into the plan and he developed a plan for

delivering coffee to businessmen across LA.

When he was inspired by the success of McDonald's, IHOP followed not long after.

Enter: pancakes — and a pot of coffee on every table.

The iconic look of Lapin's restaurants came next.

The distinctive blue roof was chosen because of a similarity to the instantly recognizable

orange roofs of the popular Howard Johnson's chain.

As for the chalet-style building, Lapin wanted his restaurants to have the appearance of

a place that would be every bit as welcoming and cozy as your own home.

Say your prayers

Everyone knows IHOP stands for the International House of Pancakes, but there's another organization

that's used the acronym.

That's the International House of Prayer, and the pancake place decided to mess with

God and sued the prayer place in 2010.

No one would ever confuse what services you're going to be getting at which, but problems

arose when the church started serving food.

The restaurant trademarked the acronym in 1973 and reportedly made repeated requests

for the church to stop using it, but the requests were ignored.

The lawsuit was dropped after only a few months and, according to The Los Angeles Times, the

matter was being mediated in hopes of settling out of court.

As of 2017, the church is using IHOPKC to distinguish themselves from the restaurant.

Putting the 'I' in IHOP

It's a bit ironic that the International House of Pancakes became such an iconic piece of

Americana, but it turns out that "international" didn't refer to any aspirations of becoming

an internationally, globally-recognized chain.

The name was actually a reference to the restaurant's menu.

The idea was to have pancakes from all over the world.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the menu originally included offerings like the Persian

pancake, the exotic-sounding Tahitian orange pineapple pancake, and even a Kauai coconut

pancake.

While some recipes were phased out, IHOP still uses the same basic recipes they've used for

decades.

Bacon me crazy

Living next to an IHOP would likely be horrible for your waistline and for your heart, but

one neighborhood found out the hard way there's another problem: the smell.

In 2012, Business Insider reported on a feud going on between an East Village IHOP and

their neighbors.

Residents complained that the smell of bacon grease was so bad it was disrupting their

sleep, and honestly, can you think of anything worse than the constant smell of bacon that's

not going to be eaten by you?

"Come get your bacon, come get your bacon!"

IHOP installed a $40,000 machine on top of the building called a smog-hog to remove all

odors before they had a chance to escape.

But the feud didn't go away.

It wasn't long before Gothamist reported those same neighbors were now complaining because

IHOP's smog-hog was all but deafening.

Sometimes, there's just no winning.

The Vermont special

Vermont is known for their maple syrup, and the idea of eating pancakes and waffles in

Vermont without slathering on some fresh, very real maple syrup is pretty unthinkable.

And while part of the allure of IHOP is all the syrups, they're not exactly all-natural.

That's why South Burlington, Vermont made a special agreement with IHOP — they would

be the only location out of around 1400 that would be allowed to offer real maple syrup

with all those flavored, fruity favorites.

Shockingly, when IHOP representatives came to the location to train the franchisees,

many of them also reportedly tried actual maple syrup for the first time.

Cinn-A-Stack hack

Hearts broke when IHOP took their Cinn-A-Stack pancakes off the menu, and it's no wonder

— they're delicious, and you can't have too many ways to legitimately have dessert

for breakfast.

When 5-year-old Leah DeBarr's parents took her to IHOP, they found her favorites were

no longer on the menu.

When the franchisee of her local IHOP got wind of the little girl's heartbreak, they

not only held a Cinn-A-Stack-filled surprise party for her, they put the pancakes back

on the menu for a limited time.

While not all of us are lucky enough to have a Cinn-A-Stack surprise party, with help from

this Cinn-A-Stack hack from Delish, you're covered.

The same thing that makes Cinn-A-Stack pancakes delicious is used on their Cinnamon Swirl

French Toast.

Just order some buttermilk pancakes, and ask them to use that cinnamon spread and some

cream cheese frosting.

Presto!

"Done!"

Unsealed FISA Court Ruling Shows 85% of Obama's FBI and DOJ 704-5 FISA Searches Were Illegal and … - Duration: 2:11.

Unsealed FISA Court Ruling Shows 85% of Obama's FBI and DOJ 704-5 FISA Searches Were Illegal

and Illegally Provided to Government Outsiders A Report was released in April of 2017 that

received no publicity until recently.

The report was a ruling on the results of an investigation or audit into FISA searches

made by Obama's FBI and DOJ during Obama's time in office.

The report shows Obama's FBI and DOJ participated in widespread criminal searches and criminal

sharing of data with non authorized entities outside of government.

On April 26, 2017, an unsealed FISA Court Ruling unveiled a number of criminal activities

that Barack Obama's FBI and DOJ participated in during his time in office.

The report to date received little attention.

Now interest is brewing due to the recent actions of Congress and the report that is

expected to be released in the upcoming weeks.

The FISA Court Ruling shows widespread abuse of the FISA mandate.

According to the report, Obama's FBI and DOJ performed searches on Americans that were

against their 4th Amendment rights.

This went on for years.

One paragraph in the report states that 85% of the Section 704 and 705(b) FISA searches

made during this time were non-compliant with applicable laws and therefore criminal.

FISA 705 warrants deal with US citizens outside of the country.

In addition, the report cites that at the same time that Obama's DOJ and FBI were

illegally searching Americans against their rights and unbeknownst to them, Obama's

FBI was providing this information to outside contractors who had no business or legal cause

or claim the information.

The level of corruption within Obama's FBI and DOJ is shocking.

To date no one has been charged with crimes or is in jail as a result of the many crimes

committed by this group of hoodlums.

What do you think about this?
