Mega Man X7 (Playstation 2/PS2) - INNOCENT Until Proven Guilty! - Duration: 16:01.
Mega Man X7 is the bane of the Blue Bomber's existence, but in this video game court, it's
Innocent Until Proven Guilty!
Court is now in session for a busteriffic episode of Innocent Until Proven Guilty!
Capcom's iconic mascot has had a long history of ups & downs.
His unfortunate absence over most of this decade has been one of the major downs, but
there's one notable aberration that definitely surpasses it.
On October 14th, 2003, the Blue Bomber's futuristic counterpart transitioned into the
third dimension with a title that's been condemned by fans & critics alike.
I've known of this notorious offender's reputation for quite awhile, but I've yet
to have enough personal experience to form an opinion...until now.
After receiving a bunch of requests over the years, the time has finally come to bring
Mega Man X7 to trial!
Mega Man X7 was released for the Playstation 2 & marked the franchise's first steps outside
of its 16 & 32 bit comfort zone.
The infamous black sheep in the Capcom catalog largely sticks to the tried & true formula
of its predecessors & kicks off with a shocking twist...X has retired from active duty & the
Maverick Hunters are in disarray without his guidance, paving the way for the rise of the
Red Alert vigilante group.
Red Alert is not surprisingly led by a guy named Red and he's supported in his efforts
by Axl, the aspiring hunter in training.
The story takes a tragic turn for the worse when the bulk of the Red Alert agents go haywire,
resulting in Axl defecting from his former comrades & fleeing for his life.
The playable prologue that follows serves as a tutorial & shifts the focus onto the
aforementioned rookie, whose controls offer a mix of original & recycled mechanics.
Axl retains the dash & charged shot of his idol, but ups the ante with a floating ability
& ditches the buster in favor of a multi-purposed blaster.
During my initial playthrough, Axl quickly became my preferred protagonist & I found
him to be a fascinating addition to the lore, but Capcom's decision to put the spotlight
on him instead of the titular character was certain to turn off SNES raised retro enthusiasts.
Luckily, the designers seem to have recognized this potential problem and placated their
die-hard fanbase in advance by devoting a sizable chunk of the disc space to the linear
2d sidescrolling that put the franchise on the map & sweetened the pot even further by
speedily re-introducing Zero into the picture.
The scarlet sword toting bad-ass monologues in a gruff voice ripped straight out of a
western before entering into a virtual recreation of the classic stage that started it all.
Zero's ultra powerful Z Saber & close range technique perfectly compliment Axl's run
& gun style & their combined forces swiftly decimate the rampaging Mechaniloid, triggering
another cutscene that continues the narrative.
Axl is arrested for the destruction he was indirectly responsible for and he informs
X, Zero & the rest of the Maverick Hunters about the situation he's become mired in.
I suppose I should take this opportunity to address one of Mega Man X7's biggest flaws...
the voice acting.
Wow...I'm speechless.
I'm normally able to see the silver lining in everything, but that is beyond redemption.
It blows my mind that this got the green light from Capcom & what makes it even weirder is
that these people are still working in the field to this day.
In fact, X's English actor went on to dub lines for ARMS & Super Bomberman R!
In fairness to Peter von Gomm, this was one of his first projects and he's apparently
honed his craft in recent years judging by the clips I've heard online, but that doesn't
atone for this painful performance & I'd strongly suggest toggling over to the Japanese
audio track instead.
Ah, much better.
Axl's interrogation by the hunters is interrupted by Red, who issues a challenge to determine
the fate of his former colleague.
X is reluctant to comply, so Zero partners up with the fugitive in order to shut down
Red & his goons for good.
With the set-up for the rest of the plot firmly established, the robot master selection screen
pops up and we're introduced to the simultaneously most bizarre & least creative rogue's gallery
to appear in any of the Mega Man titles to date.
Capcom was clearly scrapping the bottom of the barrel with such WTF worthy characters
as Tornado Tunion, Vanishing Gungaroo, Ride Boarski & Flame Hyenard.
The levels that lead up to this crazy crew check off most of the essential tropes, with
settings ranging from a fiery inferno to a treacherous jungle, but the majority mirror
the robot master's lack of inspiration by sharing an overwhelmingly similar industrial
feel in common.
Each area is broken down into a series of two & three dimensional segments & the player
has the option to tackle them with a team of two of the protagonists.
Axl & Zero are the default choices, but X jumps back into the fray after destroying
all of the robot masters or saving 64 reploids.
The reploids are scattered around the various locations & rescuing them not only restores
X's fighting spirit, but they also reward power-up parts that can be redeemed in the
upgrade menu to reach our heroes' full potential.
These particular upgrades can only be accessed upon finishing or failing a mission, but they're
supplemented by the heart health expansions & e-tanks, as well as X's signature armor pieces.
In keeping with the tradition of the series, there are holographic capsules hidden within
four of the main sections & entering them will transform Doctor Light's creation into
a mean machine of superior strength.
The Glide Armor is absolutely necessary for achieving the maximum fun factor since the
stock X really, REALLY sucks.
Stock X's charged buster shot is admittedly a massive improvement over Axl's pea shooter,
but he can't double jump, nor can he hover, and he has very little protection against
the ravenous hordes waiting to grind him into microscopic particles.
The Glide Armor rectifies every single one of these shortcomings & implements a new attack
called Giga Crash that chips a huge amount of energy off of the bosses' meters.
On my first session, I relied on Axl's rolling death ball maneuver to wallop Red's renegades,
but armored X rendered that redundant on my second & I became intimately familiar with
the cheesy cinematics that unfold before & after each enemy encounter in the process.
The dialogue alternates depending on which character is chosen & the voice cast churns
it out in an atrocious, stilted manner.
Flame Hyenard in particular has become a bit of a meme recently & most people understandably
find it to be abrasive, but I think it's hilarious.
Anyway, the bosses can be eliminated by utilizing the typical Rock, Paper, Scissors weakness
exploitation system, but I was able to progress past them with the standard tools of the trade
& I soon discovered the location of the Red Alert base, as well as the identity of the
secret puppet master manipulating the strings the entire time, who turns out to be...
you guessed it...
Sigma.
The road to Sigma involves a string of Wily's castle-esque travails, including a frantic
chase from a bulldozer bot, an escalation up a bat & boulder filled corridor, & the
climactic showdown with Red.
Red is a tough, teleporting S.O.B. & it took me a number of attempts to figure out the
best strategy to combat his trickery, but I eventually brought him down with the combination
of Axl's Volt Tornado & Zero's sword blasts.
Upon Red's defeat & the completion of the prerequisite boss rush, Sigma steps out of
the shadows & engages his lifelong adversaries in a two part battle.
The first is very simple & I was able to annihilate the fierce foe as Glide Armor X without breaking
a sweat, but his gargantuan second appearance turned out to be much less of a pushover.
Between the unsteady footholds & insta-kill ground pounds, I had a hell of a time fending
off this ridiculously cheap bastard, but I eventually got into a groove, switching around
the protagonists with reckless abandon whenever their specific sets of skills were required,
& I finally put this sucker behind me.
The ensuing anime ending has Sigma making a last stand & pulverizing Axl with a mighty punch.
All seems lost as Red emerges unscathed from the rubble & re-teams with Sigma, but this
miraculous twist of fate is revealed to be a clever ruse devised by Axl, who swiftly
sends Sigma flying out of the window.
The story wraps up on an ambiguous note with one out of three possible codas, which are
determined by the character that dealt Sigma's death blow.
The plot apparently continues into the final sequel, but I've never played it, so I have
no idea which of these codas is canon.
Regardless of what follows, Mega Man X7 presents a unique case.
It's the only installment in the franchise to incorporate 3D segments & it reduces the
formerly awesome titular character into a pathetic preachy pacifist who plays second
fiddle to an annoying whiny brat.
The dialogue is trash delivered by a bunch of rank amateurs, the robot masters are uninspired
& that's just the tip of this disastrous iceberg.
With that said, though, there are a lot of positive traits associated with Mega Man X7.
The presentation is surprisingly solid and I really dig the cel-shaded art style.
The controls are tight & the gameplay offers a respectable amount of variety.
Plus, the issue that's considered to be a major flaw by most is...well...still a gigantic
flaw, but an extremely amusing one.
The cutscenes are the epitome of "so bad it's good" & I found myself laughing on
numerous occasions at the sheer absurdity of it all.
However, I can't escape from the notion that this is a gigantic insult to the fans.
It took one of the coolest sidescrolling stars of the 16 bit era & turned him into a worthless,
spineless ninny, and that is a completely unforgivable offense as far as I'm concerned,
so I have no choice but to rule that Mega Man X7 is guilty of all charges!
In the entire history of this show, I've never had a verdict tie me up in knots as
much as this.
There are a lot of things that I appreciate about this game & I admire Capcom's courage
in taking such a bold risk, but you really have to be able to separate this from the
series to get any kind of enjoyment from it.
As a generic 3D platformer, it's pretty decent, but as a Mega Man X title, it's
an epic disappointment.
The decision to nerf the legendary hero was a boneheaded blunder that ultimately soured
my overall experience & anyone expecting to get the warm nostalgia fuzzies should stay
far away from this frustrating failure.
Anyway, now that I've condemned this despised degenerate from the sixth console generation,
it's time for another Cygnus review.
Be sure to come back for that and to leave any recommendations for future trials in the
comments below, but until then, court is now adjourned!

I'm your host Richard Swan and in today's show we are going to be looking
behind the business what's required the philosophy the psychology the mindset
how should we approach it how should we think of it not just all the meat and
potatoes, nuts and bolts facts and figures no no you your important part
and that puzzle and to get stuck into that topic we have the perfect guest the
perfect guest Mr Brian Wright from FBD consultancy who both had an issue a
couple of weeks ago and if you've no idea of that one if you want in all
roughly 3 million nuggets of information about accountancy tags vcgt or God you
name then get yourself buying enough to pack up and I sure because their brain
hazard mine but these are the new by and you've not even spoken out good yes
excellent when you first came on ever that I was there for an ERG properly
Academy event and the guy said if brains comedies doing this they can see thing
and sure re they kill and it was focused on just tell me Rio up top and stuff and
I can see all this spray cheese oh yeah epic or you know always get some coupons
yeah okay let it year long viewing of proper investment that's definitely good
that's good I'm definitely goodie that wasn't I'll always listen to everybody
and the baby things are probably here's to three times as good and maybe some
up-to-date information I don't know about income tax budget changes you're a
scientist or the cure but apart from that you know it's numbers you know
speeches it's a cuted so it yes it's not for a rock star schema but then the rock
star opiate there the humor the fun more importantly the the passion and the
willingness to really engage with those people there and you're getting ebooks
Adri you ever get any philosophy yourself
whoa what is happening yeah really really stood I stole remember let me if
I middle it was a fantastic thing and then you this has been uh this is become
a famous thing you people were talking about yeah is that motivational speaker
the person who makes you think the psychological i cuted on oh it's a
fantastic funny names but let's quickly skim over the present this stuff makers
will find you on the show before so Brian Wright fpd consultancy a
ridiculous experience and the world of properly in business through counsels
and you know dealing with government contracts and I mean my god if we start
to go a bill it wants to go be here forever more waste we start to put it in
the podcast but eventually eventually 2003 you've watched us fantastic film
FBD and you get plants from the future I really wanted to get in take that skill
actually but we did the same thing start for you
we're did the real important thinking about stuff come from you and your
psychology yeah well I mean we've been around in the business world I guess for
a long long time but you can't be shaken 21 you know the
you have you thank you really what it boils down to is that we had to consider
starting your own accounting practice Oh best part of 30 years ago
and as a consequence of being introduced a completely different type of business
we choose okay well we will pursue that business as a spare time activity with a
view that it would make a lot of property investors what to happen now
replace our jobs great yeah so we we engage with activity and what I loved
about what we were doing is two things two things in the mean one it was a very
helping people that's something I've always believed if you help others
surely to goodness it's gotta be the right thing Yankee not realizing that
time by helping others you help yourself for the same time you have to I've
learned that over years and but because it gave us access to mentors and
personal growth in a way that I can't even today I could not have
comprehended just the extent to which good people speaking into your life
about the truth of what works what doesn't work and so we had about 15 or
more years 17 years with a mentor whom there were weeks when I phoned the guy
every single the in life sometimes he was very supportive and I know that the
metaphorical telephone cuddle yeah and sometimes he told me it was to quote my
own bloody fault so that was her I cannot baptism or fire
in some ways but so I guess I was probably in my early thirties mmm did
that mean tough connection come abou just chance no I got an introduction
from a friend who said that his uncle was expanding out I can't franchise up
in Scotland I told her it wasn't it son coincidently tumblr it was a friend of
the family so it was a close friend real quickly though his own goose eye one of
these kind of my goose and I went along to listen to the guy as an accountant
typically you know don't trust the guy as far as I could spit yep and and it
was it was probably a good few months before relationship was cemented no
really don't know that he had some seriously successful contacts and over
the piece obviously I got the opportunity to be exposed to these guys
some of them were making millions monthly some of them they're just crazy
money and and so when the discover that I was a whirling horse and I was I had a
good work ethic which I'm always had and they decided to take me under the wagon
so instead of getting their information from this guy's inverted commas uncle
mmm-hmm I got a date from guys who were turning over what most people just came
off a successful in lots of different businesses and it was you know as I
suggested be able to do you know there are four pillars to any successful
business or any successful human being behind a successful business and those
are having a mentor mm-hmm reading books regularly even to the point where
they're going out of fashion eat the book then you should be eating
it and listening regularly to podcasts like these are gonna help you or
CDs on it's cold motivational talks it's not as people telling the truth what its
gonna take to be successful and of course get yourself as many seminars or
even networking meetings where as a general rule that people in the room are
of a similar mindset you know they say that our rising tide raises all ships so
if you're hanging about with people who are going somewhere there's a more
chance of you going somewhere yourself yeah so I did all those things it was a
point when I was reading at least a book a week I thought that was great by the
way to Jack Canfield who wrote the success principles a number of years ago
yeah I said in one of his seminars that he was reading about a book every two
days yeah makes you say no wonder the guys so successful was so um and so I
went to seminar but I can't even remember I can't even remember who was
it mark gorman that could have been chopped up on my bookshelf is surrounded
by some awesome books yeah absolutely but this guy came on the stage in it and
it was almost like speaking to me now there was probably 20,000 people in the
audience there is no small seminar yeah and I was obviously at that point you
know the see when the students really the teachers each other PLC and I was
the student that was ready and he said to me you've got to really get in your
head what it is you want to do with your life you know we talked about starting
with a why is much deeper than that right and it's the what would I do even
if I didn't get paid right okay okay find something at that time I was still
working for somebody else I guess I wasn't happy in the corporate world I
was being dictated to it was all just numbers sure
and so he said you gotta find something deep in your heart that is you who you
are no I always had a lot of people probably
mmm-hmm and I always wanted to hear about you know reflecting on I've been
helping people all my life for nothing most of the time which is actually a
good treat and and and what I realized was there was a way to do I was doing
with numbers mm-hmm that would then be able to be used to help people become
more successful gotcha and I'm going set up a vision statement
here and just a can I grab that first paragraph to encourage empower and
facility business owners to achieve and then goes on a whole list of things so
it's not that you version I sure I'm focused here assist wondered and I'm
doing my stuff and I'm doing my cavities and I'm doing my thing DD but what it's
actually doing is feeding these people as fish you know it's sharing the Go
game up which is another fantastic passing that on so you've always kept
training okay so that's gonna bail up through you had that was a light bulb
moment when yeah it was just the two together I was that kinda it was a
combination of a tearful moment and I realization an epiphany to use that term
and I thought I could stay no they didn't come at that point right I just
remember coming out of a the seminar with a mixture of of excitement about
because I've been obviously listen to guys who we're successful and a bunch of
20,000 people who are going somewhere yeah I know almost a depression or
almost that a sadness because I thought I don't have that what is it what's my
thing you know like what I have studied to become great with what I really
wanted to do which was helping people and I think if that's n you mm-hmm when
you become more successful you can do more of that Marie or somebody once said
there's a finite amount that you can do with you yourself yeah so eventually you
have to find that we are multiplying you so that more people can benefit no
Mahatma Gandhi all these big guys in you who've who have changed the world have
started off with changing themselves yeah and that was part and parcel so I
had to go through that enough turmoil and you know look inside and look at all
the things that weren't working and be honest with myself by the way this is a
really hard thing to do a lot of people cannot open up now ahead look in the
neck and go Mike go ahead and they closed it up quickly and they run off
and of course they don't move on to really become as successful as you want
to se the gut ranging tear-jerking journey in which you have to have a
really good look at yourself and see why am i affiliate right and by the way by
failure in today's terms in the United means mediocre yeah that's about it boy
nice like yup so look he's what's late you know success fair we are they you
know this kind of stuff some people attach different things to
them differently I'm good about money Chivo you and that okay guys I gave the
others a bow but a DC who on earth yes he's here unhappiest he's here these
kids here on these you know so it's not successful you yeah no it's gotta be
it's gotta be everything hasn't so huh people who've got a lot of money and
they're playing the people who are some money and they're despised
yeah and yet there's people with a lot money who have lots of friends a lot
loving their life and you're happy they're physically fit they're made to
the fact that emotionally fit and they're having a great life and that's a
sad loss when these people pass on all raft of them you know either the zig zag
lows of this world yeah there's wall rafter people I could go on and on about
all the guys they buy agency name is just that just I mean specs over this
aids obviously anyway but his voice was just incredible
yeah yeah definitely and you know you view that who you view yourself so so
self-aware mistake it's not you must touch it on there a real honest looking
the matter who I am when I'm I know yeah you know you look at yourself
mmm-hmm and then yeah I would suggest everybody finds for themselves are hero
or a group of heroes no really I mean by that I here for me is somebody who
exhibits the treat that you would like to have right okay now you go right back
to the the commencement of the American Constitution
you know the founder of America Sam while his face was he he wrote a list of
13 treats she can get on YouTube you can get on the internet of character you see
he was a guy who was outspoken and he made enemies and he decided he'd had a
chat with an intimate friend who was a very successful guy who basically told
them that he was his own problem and he took it to heart he didn't just
let it go he said okay well I'm gonna wanna input 13 principles that he was
going to work through you know everything from integrity
you know honestly the whole all fuckton you can read the money in today and he
worked his way through and by the time he died he was if not America's greatest
president one of the greatest presidents America's ever had mm-hmm and I think
you know we can do it in our different ways and if we actually look at this guy
that we see who's perhaps in front of an audience and he's commanding the
audience what is it about that guy and what's he got I don't have how can I
steal that for me because the minute you decide that that's who you are you're
moving slowly and definitely towards that character yes same thing if you've
got somebody who you think's very successful monetary wise emulate them
copy up to your point copy of the things that they do to meet
money if the forget lots of friends if your hero is something that everybody
just loves what is about them but they love emulator and that's what I've done
so you read it in books you watch people who are successful see what is that
about name what can I learn how do I become that person mm-hmm and I have to
tell you it's not overnight yeah and take months and years one of
the challenges I have with all these great training events that are around
days they're not ongoing and I can tell you for me to become an overnight
success rate to to when you do these studies of overnight success right yeah
you look at how into our story nobody knew but the guy 10 years ago yeah well
the guy is only 70 is he not so it should come 50 years to become an
overnight success yeah right so I said well identifying that anything that
happens quickly you can lose quickly things that take time to build will stay
with you forever mm-hmm stronger foundations stronger
foundations mm-hmm and another aspect of that is that you could build an empire
and your children could repetitious Reds in years yeah that should not prevent
you from doing what's in you right yeah right people criticize people who are
successful all the time because they don't know what to become successful
people will people have views in a piece of everything you do if you are the kind
of person who reacts to other people's opinions you
might as well not bother get out your bed hmm because half of the world is
already happy that you feel and an unhappy other half don't care it's a
reality there's one of these things when you look at you oh I know that's a
brilliant book for readers to to get their hands on it's the hundred and one
secrets of super achievers I think it's awesome I'm tastic book I say you own
funny I'll see if I can find that I know you the reference photos Obelix NTFS is
more lightly than an office which is always like any saying that's for sure
but let me say that super achievers deal an object reality please stop kidding
themselves oh and you know if you look at the tennis world for example and the
money don't become the best in the world because he went or well the other guy
hits the net too much or that guy's Ptolemy's can hit the ball hard up for
that guy's faster than me he said why is it about me that's prevent me to become
the best mm-hmm and the people who become the very best in the world as
I've said to you before it's not about Talent that's about willing to overwork
the problems that are anew whether it's fitness well it's what you eat well it's
how you think over a long period of time to become that person there's worthy or
being a world champion no the sporting world is no different than the business
world yeah if you want to become a world champion business person you have to
emulate some of the traits of the world champion sports people to extent to
which people walk that hard they will be millionaires to the extent
to which they won't want to work hard enough that they can represent their
county that's how wealthy will be to the extent to which they want to work hard
enough to represent their country that's how their business will be reflected to
a point of wealth so you could see making decent money could be county
level becoming financially free maybe represent your country becoming a
millionaire as I came to being one of the top world ranked player places
similar fits it's about working harder than the others it's about and dealing
with object reality not killing yourself on you know if you do something's not
working what is that about you that's presented
preventing it from what because it's not about the person you're standing talk
and do ya ever eyes it's about you and if you're standing in front of somebody
who isn't the person you should be standing in front of that's still about
you Solomon why are you even via yes oh my god so so there's a constant
responsibility there as well they all got a self-awareness all yourself wait
on you why you always late to be this point and then that responsibility of
Okemah the other and what's my next step and my name schools and stuff okay no
you are human I believe I know I've seen you operate
ridiculous level was a cyclopædia Britannica knowledge of things but yeah
human so no you have your whole point your obvious challenges you're on your
cool uncool failures setbacks how do you get back on him who you Steve focused it
because if it's Cory thief is a long thing if I'm gonna accept time and
that's how long job me 10,000 hours to become the master whatever you want you
can I use you prepared yourself and how do you keep your reactions when you had
those three books okay first of all I accept the fact you're gonna screw up
right when I succeed so we guys do it we are human as you see we are gonna make
you think we're good to forget we're going to do things wrongly we're gonna
open our mouths at the wrong time and see their own thing we do it know what
makes us think because we're on this journey we're going to stop doing these
things sure of course we are but then it's all about whether you react or
respond might react Vestas response as a hot those are after books on that in
fact every chapter every success book in that library over there talks about am I
good to react or am I going to respond yes now here's a little clue although
successful people generally speaking are nice people
mmm internally they're very strong right they usually have a good self-esteem so
one of the first things to work on to be able to handle what happens when things
go wrong is your inner confidence mm-hmm now that's not something you can fake
I'll come back to that because this thing about fake it till you make it yes
yeah and a lot of people misunderstand what that means well let me come back to
that second way but if you work hard on
yourself then over RP are relatively short maybe even six to twelve months
you can be the person where if something goes wrong answer saying expletive
expletive expletive you'll see something like oh my goodness
that's a blow right yo the house falls down in your car yeah my goodness I'm
glad that wasn't in the car yeah the fat make sense in fact that's a
wonderful wonderful story I think it was a tool by some monk some we're only
going here yesterday he started but this guy who's a regular guy is popular
because he's nice and he's just he helps everybody all the time enemy and he gets
a letter through the letterbox and he gets told he's won the lottery so he
goes in so he gets like 10 million quite something like that and so he goes away
he binds himself the best of the best cars and best of the best soups and all
that stuff and of course we tell his friends about it
she says the fan system you're so so lucky can't believe how lucky you are
only and the guy just responds we'll see we'll see yeah
so of course then the story goes on and he's driving across our at crossroads I
real we across in of course it just so happens he goes across the river lane
that same time the trains coming smacks and his car breaks all the bones in his
body and he's laid up in a hospital and of course all his fans come to see him
in Hollis and hospitals he was so sad it's so terrible you're so unlucky I
can't believe you've had such bad luck of course the guys lying there the only
things he thinks that's his exposed as his face everything else is the plaster
I know he says we'll see terrible story of course the story goes on that whale
is in hospital there there's a monsoon in there his house is right on the edge
of the coast of the land he stays in the monsoon wipes out the whole cliff age
takes his house down into the sea four o'clock in the morning when he
be sleeping and of course when the friends come and see you oh that's
terrible usual actually it's not terrible had I not had the accident in
that fancy car I would have been in my house asleep and I would be drowned to
be so I don't know if that's lucky I'm not lucky we'll see we all see that's
really important we don't know what's good for us
we think we lose our job that's bad no you're not mmm-hmm we'll see maybe so
you think that we go through people abusing us and we think that's terrible
maybe maybe not you know my history is very much about being bullied in the
workplace by my seniors and at the time it was hellish but now because of what
I've been through I'm strong yeah and then you are being an employer
as we know so much better employer yeah I understand the things that I would not
have waked up happened to me yeah and I make sure I don't do these to other
people so if you're reflecting on your life in this way if you look back and
see my goodness I'm so glad I was bullied
she's weird yeah but you become strong and some of the early clients were also
bullies they took advantage and as we've discussed previously Richards yeah we
work strong enough to say please go and find somebody else to to abuse yeah and
they've moved on and now we have a happy life with lots of happy people so you
know the journey has you have to accept it's going to happen and then you have
to do the work so how do you do the work well you read books all the time right
you listen to people more successful all the time you go to a lease and Tony
Robbins has coming to the country if John Demartini is coming to the country
a fair I'm thinking real say a heart of a cup Hodge or the so many so many go
and get a few think it is after month my seminar is worth it yes Jack Canfield
spent seventeen thousand dollars of his fifty four thousand dollar salary in one
year to change his life did he reach to me when he went from
relatively broke teacher to very successful entrepreneur chicken soup
there's all sorts of stuff uh-huh and a very short period of time it's the same
philosophy in fact I can't feel records that
you tie into him he can be helped you become philosophy in two years
let's do the same sorry but it's all doable
yes so there's a couple of things in and obviously amputate the inputs that we
are sorry no no sir we just say of someone named there's a there's a kind
of famous cliche and computing what was programming world
Gangu don't be gentle be joke you know so you you relate to my philosophy yes
you know it's a kind of sad reality and this is quite deep so apologies for
anybody looking for nice places where that says a nice like podcast but you
know and the the all of our senses lie to us right we were gonna talk about
actually act as if so I just want to clarify what does that really mean okay
so every every all of our senses like to us they tell us what as detail is not
what can be okay so we we see somebody hot nor we hear things so we listen to
the news you listen to everything is bad about the world or we spend time around
gossiping complaining people then in that moment because the subconscious
mind is so open so available because it's not being protected by the
conscious mind in that moment we are becoming the thing we are seeing or
listening to so you go to hospital and watch a cancer victim die guess what's
happening to you in that moment for some people thinking and that's all the codes
wall up I can tell you from 30 years of studying this stuff it's true yeah you
know you get more of what you think about you get more of what you put
yourself in touch with you more of what you see you get more of what you hear if
you realize that every single thought through your head has an implication for
your future you be more about joining and one of the problems as we get a free
brain when we're born so there's no value put to it and of course if you
abused it which a lot of people do who watch the news and listen to all the
gossip and so on all the doing is damaging themselves in and so for that
for that much so you have to be very very protective of walkers in your ears
your eyes your nose and what comes out of your mouth I'm very very protective
that's what's going to build that enough character like enough strength that's
going to allow you to say to people I don't think I should be working with you
now you can do the next week sure but you have to be able to see these things
on the other hand it will also give you that opportunity when you get a matching
vibe from another human being to see I need to find them we are working with
that person because really feel them in a way that I don't feel from other
people really probably to get to you and see for something we can do together
that's more instinctual than than logic yeah there's no logic in this this is
allowed you to do it but you have to work on yourself to the point where you
can experience it and feel it right okay no let's just talk a little bit about
the actor self because that's nice all self esteem ideas I think et make it
yeah so the figure to the make it there's two ways of interpreting it
there is the bluster knows that I'm the big man and buying the nation's and
driving the fast cows when you're none of those you can't afford it you
shouldn't be doing it that's not what that means no that's the same message
right back from scriptural rating right the way to the Napoleon Hill Think and
Grow Rich groups are off today what is that actually meaning it's actually
coming from a place of authenticity okay so inside of you if you continually tell
yourself who you are and what you are in in the present tense as if you're that
person know even consciously when you know you're not mmm-hmm so this isn't
about pulling the wool over in order this is you understanding that if you
have a vision of who and what you are and you repeat yourself who what you are
enough all of our time you build this self-esteem in addition to reading and
less thing and all the things we've discussed about mmm then when you open
your eyes your eyes and ears and your mouth and your nose aren't going to see
if you hear smell what you want to be yeah what they see is who you are and
and therefore you have to believe who you are yeah I'm still Alyssa and be who
you are today and be with people who you are today but if you keep doing that
inner work that's acting as if that means internally you the more you are
the more your psychology changes and then one day you will be that person so
it's not an inauthentic acting as bluster he's not bill whatever pp-people
where it's being true to yourself but be doing the inner work so that you believe
you're that person this isn't about anybody else
you know I see a lot of people teaching that and it's blaster ray it's not true
authentic acting as that means you act in your head as if you're the person
there for you not for a third party yeah it's not false representation so it's
until no external to the internal right so if you come across somebody who's
working internally you probably wouldn't know it right if you come across someone
who's acting as if and it's not authentic you'll feel it you're gonna
feel because we're all human we all have these vibes gonna bear all thing and
it's that it's a subtle difference because one day you will behave that way
because that's you mm-hmm but you don't have to pretend
that shoot mm-hmm and it's a case of you know John keel talks about daily
practice working on yourself internally daily your 5 20 30 minutes every day
visualizing and self talking or auto suggestion as to who and what you are or
at least want to be but specifying it in a way that pretends internally you are
already that person and over a matter of months and years then you will become
that person and surprisingly what you attract into your life will make you
truly that person could you then channel becomes external yeah it's a little
weaker a you stop changing that brain is that brain constantly okay where they
want to be next well yeah absolutely yeah absolutely because you know there's
the Mahatma Gandhi's in this world who says be the change you wish to see in
the world well I know I'm not that changed right not that person that I
would look up to Ray I want to be that person so what does
that mean it means you know if you get caught up in traffic you don't have a go
at the guy in front who probably even know where it's cut young traffic you
just done it because I got there in a rushed have not left enough time for
themselves so they may be doing stuff but I'm still reacting to it ya know
there's actually three levels of reacting
the responding and then there's not even noticing oh no the Buddha said if you
notice a negative treat and another person it means it's still in you yeah
you see nonmetal go ahead right so to the extent that wait someone shakes and
screams and screams at you and you almost don't even notice that you just
think on that person's having a problem brave it's not even a response anymore
you know certainly yes an observation of the person who's having a hard day I
realizing they're having a hard is nothing to doing is no personal okay
I'm not yeah I am better and better at responding Rory I think I still
sometimes react mm-hm so until the day I die I have to work on
myself to become that person mm-hmm which actually doesn't even notice half
of the silly things that go on in life yeah and they're all in elevant
absolutely and interestingly if you become that person you will live longer
because we need remove stress from your life yes every cell in your body is not
stressed I'll show you you don't have your heart attacks in your cancels and
all your things yes you've actually eradicated all that stuff from your life
and if you've got a stress-free life you will live longer even than doctors and
scientists or testify to that yeah definitely all of it so we've got a few
things our folks no more look at internal and the external well having
self-awareness was taking responsibility we are prepared for failures or the
reset mics when we stumble or not roids and you do in any specific do a routine
yeah there's a brainwave a morning routine and evening routine absolutely
yeah most people know that there was a hurried successful life will take up a
little bit earlier than those who don't and that's not to see if you've got
really late Nate one night you make about later we all need a certain amount
of sleep and I mean that's depending on individual yeah and but yeah so I'll go
up in the morning and before the world starts I'll sit down and my little quiet
spot either with or before my coffee in the morning right and I'll sit down and
I'll spend literally five minutes just really relaxing my body doing the main
works better when the body's relaxed and then I will spend time focusing on
something I'll just pick something so for example I could just think a red
spot and what I'm trying to do with that is
I'm trying to train my mind to discipline it the most dangerous part of
our lives as they're made which never stops yeah when you're a week it's
working and it's going all over it's random it's all over the shop our fates
our focus or concentration everything so to discipline your mind the first thing
you have to do is bring it to your particular point of focus now it may be
contemplating success yeah it might be thinking about our property thing that
you're doing it makes it so you just gonna pick something because the the
exercises is about focus it's about disciplining the mind it's about
controlling the mind there's a brilliant book written by Wallace wattles in the
early nineteen hundred's he's there science isn't he also wrote a master key
system no I did a couple of things but the says for the science of getting rich
and and he has a whole 20 week program that you follow joint evil has a four we
thing yeah but you can follow yeah I'm there if you meet Napoleon Ellsberg he's
got a program you can follow us all the same thing so but it all starts with
disciplining your mind mm-hmm the second thing win is
practicing visualization so our five minutes of relaxation or a 5 minutes on
mental discipline five minutes on visualizing what I want to happen as if
it has no so it's not just seeing it it's first of all seeing it and then
it's feeling it as if that's already happened so I'm driving the future
towards me mm-hmm and then it's picking something for it maybe really my mission
team and that may be my vision statement it might be reading my goal the goal
which is up there as well I'm repeating it again and again and again and that
goal is actually written in the present state as a present statement as I finish
you know even though the date talks about the same or 2018 mm-hmm everything
else about that says this is what it is here's what I am here's where I am
that's in our favor so look for the 20 to 30 minutes in the morning can couple
it but you have to do as a disciplined
exercise every single day and not mess anything we you know an actual fact what
happens is that goal is redundant because of already exists disable 2017
just it's just so disappointing in my year ahead you've got these gem in this
so let's fill in the business anger then because you got these goals well forget
the vision statement we've got a machine statement and the other thing that
absolutely loved because I'm so so bored than familiar with legal contracts in
terms of business and that's that and the other
you've get less beautiful we sample to a page clear a concise language and it
says the basis of our relationship and what you do with us ok so this is a
reflection off of where we we're in business in the 2007 to 2010 peed let's
just see when things were a bit difficult for people sure and we had
clients who didn't value what we did they didn't follow your advice that
listen to his enemy and they didn't want to pay your fees if they did pay our
fees they complain the bar fees and all these things and they're you know if
you're in a big business world you're always going to get to lots of people a
lot of people who are happy and value what you do and the other half are a
percentage you're not happy and don't value what you do so we thought first of
all we had to clear the decks and we did as a city rich and we asked a number of
our clients to go and find other candidates who were more suited to who
and what they were we put it as police recruit obviously because I'm not in the
business of upsetting people but we knew there was a misalignment yeah and then
we thought what kind of people do we want to work with well we want to work
with as I say it's your people that we respect people that we trust people with
integrity and people are going to support us as much as we are supporting
them so that was the kind of background for
what we did and they thought well why don't we put it in writing
mm-hmm you know we're not interested we understand there's a legal system in
this country sure which to be honest least most people don't know it turns
out that those were the deepest pockets are the more successful in law mm-hmm
what we want to do is engage in people who came from somewhere else behind
integrity they had trust we had honesty I did
there were decent people so and what we say over there and this document is to
make it absolutely clear that if they engaged with us
this is what they could expect so we'll respond to the emails we'll try and fund
them back as quickly as we can will not tell them we've done something
when we haven't well apologize if we get it wrong we'll move on together no no no
the other thing we thought well if we're going to be here what are we going to
look far for us what we expected is it not feel that we expect them to behave
towards us do we really expect one of them and so another thing this is what
can we expect from you in this relationship document and it simply says
pay your fees on time value what we do if you're not happy
tell us why you're not happy really what it is you're not happy about but above
all let's respect nice that's the basis of our relationship and we get everybody
to sign up to that because they can't me and see I didn't know another way then
you do yeah and it's two pages yeah anything that's
more than maybe one or two pages people weren't really any yeah yeah right and
so so we try to boil everything down to simplicity and one or two pages and see
there you go if you're happy without saying it you're not happy we love you
anyway let me think you should go and see somebody else yeah a nice tremendous
enough taking a picture of that I'm going to put on the Shirley's Israel for
loss loss yeah because I think that quite a few
may ever be change apart with some of the business documents do from new and
once you see that a little bit too much no but I'm going to be respectful of
your time yeah because yeah but I can speak deep of these in these but you've
got lots of clients thyself and you've already just discuss some fantastic
insights which is been probably very deep very meaningful quickforce article
on 50 bucks last cannot parting what's for the Oscars so let's think of the
newcomers they're all excited they've got this properly thank the red oak
being in our workshop they wanted I even hear the phone that's podcast right
that's being property bro Ian the ready go they've got episodes such as yourself
couple of weeks bike where there was just tons of technical details to get
the teeth on T but to properly work on them now that person and the middle of
everything person involved in our business who I cannot talk to or three
things we detailed or suggest of them too
do the start rated the start okay couple of real important things one you have to
choose what is the nature of your business what are you gonna do you have
to focus on almost exclusively you have to be a razor focused pointed at the
thing you want to do so go we have a look at all your options I've come out
of the elg courses mm-hmm LG networking events and see this is what I think will
be my passion and then go after that as if there was no tomorrow remain focused
that's really important there's another one that's maybe not as positive but
it's vitally important those of those of you who know me I fear me see the
Chinese probably a man with head and clothes and fear anger and maytee big
man you can have a thank you for that it's quite far so fickle so the man with
hidden clothes by the way a unisex man women with a yes of course of course the
upset no no and you have to be a Vemma you have to be a visionary or you won't
move forward so that's the head and clothes bed but magnific neglect gand
means man women does due diligence the checks out before they get into business
or a relationship with anybody these people come from the same place it's too
easy in the property world to get bumped because you're dealing with big numbers
yeah you can make a lot of money you can also lose a lot of money yeah so true
diligence is absolutely vital it's about delegation or abdication as
we've discussed before it's about making sure that people you what worth and deal
with have the same levels of values and integrity as you do absolutely massive
so they're the top two I mean to back all that up you're going to be reading
something every day and less thing is not reading listening as passive reading
is mmm that's true you have to be reading something I don't mind if people
tear a page out the book and all your school taught you to respect books books
are for consumption yes and they are cheap today you can get them on a can
that you can trip over your also if I suggest you buy a paper book and if you
don't like reading tear one page and don't go to sleep at night to read both
say to that page with friends we'd let that believe it or
not encourage them to read I suggest that you meet your car and any other
time you're setting not doing something and audio library you've constantly
listening to things that are going to help you whether it's in the property
world or the personal development world do that suddenly find somebody in the
inner you wish to pursue who's doing it successfully and emulate them see if you
can get to talk to them and spend time around them that may be it networking
events and they seminars I may even be I'm entering a one-to-one environment
and finally get yourself in arenas and environments such as seminars and things
like that we are going to be around like-minded people who can constantly
give you a lift constantly of course it can't change
without the concert and poof so all that stuff I'd see to talk plus the four to
back it up yeah and I'm not pretty much will guarantee you success if you do it
consistently the NBA nice tremendous where you're stalking the nice out don't
offer your keep committee music Ziegler it was Jim Rohn was one of these guys
they see because when people are asking about whitey FD come to our motivation
seminar wait they're coughing come unless you know they certainly see
something like it's like bathing yeah you can do it what is gonna have one
water so again this cement to workers is you have to constantly refresh and clean
the main yeah and no one did the other thing your packet and then I suggest to
thank you because I can support out there to see no Ella my mobile library
have you saved the car the audiobook have got to the moment is good to get it
yes one use alchemy just recently yes another one before so enjoy a phenomenal
book I mean you know all the clues are in that because relative but why
America's greatest companies which is judged by those are still in existence a
hundred years on why are they still there what have they done though all the
other great short term companies haven't done and so there are good companies but
they've disappeared why are the great ones still here you know GE it which is
to obviously started by Edison there are many hundreds of years ago it's still
one of the if not the most successful business in the world today so what is
it that they do yes allowed them to go from
from strength to strength to strength through the good times and the bad times
and there are no great company so I commend that definitely so here you go
that's a lesson of softies they've got everything you need to succeed and to
cope on your mentors after they don't a sternal body fault so what is forward
for Brian's company because ok GE that's fine but f BD yes don't let us push the
flames in the expansion Z so we are very much of a view that there isn't enough
success in Scotland generally we are absolutely hell-bent on helping more
people succeed and to do that we have to have a local presence we believe in at
least six other cities are in Scotland oh this is Annette suburbs of those
cities so that parking and all these things are and accesses is easy so next
year we're looking to get a second property a commercial property and which
we hope everybody will love to come into that will give us a bit east expansion
in local area and and thereafter it's about identifying how we can expand
business in places like Aberdeen perhaps in the the the pier Sterling area and
maybe further south looking at places maybe not as far as don't free spin that
direction and that way if we were local presence for why core business growth
specialists in the area we've got a fighting chance of actually helping real
people make more money and ultimately help the Scottish economy yeah you know
spray doesn't absolutely fantastic and I'm quite confident of your success in
the area and they probably have you in the shoe a few still talked about going
from one of your your plush offices so there you go folks are real real treat

Free tools to help you focus on the growth drivers in your business - Duration: 1:58.
G'day BIGthink!-ers John Di Natale here from bigthinkbusinessbooster.com
Hope you've downloaded all of the cheatsheets and worksheets that we've
provided for you; the Create a BIG Vision worksheet, the finance one and the
Get Focused and Get Shit Done cheat sheet. All of those have been designed to help
you create a much bigger, much more exciting business for the year ahead
I know in business you work very hard, I know that you are focused and that you
are dedicated and that you sacrifice a lot of the time that you could spend
doing other things - enjoying traveling, spending time with your family. I know
that sometimes when people look at business owners they think that you're
living this very entrepreneurial glamorous lifestyle. The reality when
you're in the business and working can be quite different. I know that at some
point more than likely your thoughts will turn to, 'Am I creating an asset in
my business that I can rely on to maintain the lifestyle that I want that
I want to live when I don't want to work quite as hard as I am now.' Many of us
have bought into the great Australian dream that says 'pay off your home, work
hard and then live happily ever after.' I'm here to tell you that dreams not BIG
enough because many people get to that point and then there's just not enough
in the kitty to maintain the lifestyle they want to live. That's why we created
BIGthink! it's why we created the MasterPlan which is specifically designed to
help you focus on the growth drivers in your business and create some really BIG
outcomes there. It's designed to get expert input on your finances and make
sure that you have that under control and it's designed to create an
investment strategy that will create income for you down the track so that if
you do choose to not work quite as hard as you are now you can still maintain
the lifestyle that you want to live. There's a special offer on this page
I hope you'll take advantage of that. I hope we have an opportunity to sit down with
you and work through your individual MasterPlan. Until then, keep BIGthink!-ing!

[ENG SUBBED] 목소리 (Voice) - 테일러 Taylor - Duration: 4:20.
눈을 떠도 깜깜할 때면 Open my eyes even when it's dark
아무 예고도 없이 날 찾아와 Came to find me without any warning
이건 분명 뭔가 잘못됐어 Something must be wrong
불면증이 나를 또 괴롭혀 Insomnia haunting me again
아침이 되야 눈 감곤 해 I close my eyes when it's morning
우연히 연 너의 폴더에 Accidentally opened your folder
선물해준 노랠 찾았어 Found the song given as a gift
하루 종일 그 노랠 반복해 That song was on repeat the whole day
여전히 난 제 자린 듯 해 Seem like I'm still at that spot
어두운 방의 기억을 더듬네 Memories of the dark room flashes
목소리가 들린다면 대답해 Answer if you hear my voice
아직 못한 말이 남아있는데 There are still words I've not said
너는 어디쯤 있는지 말해줘 Tell me where you at
이 노래가 끝나기 전까지만 Only till the end of this song
Sorry 아직 준비 안 됐어 Baby Sorry I'm still not ready Baby
나의 목소린 널 향할 테니 My voice will reach you
슬픈 두 눈으로 날 바라보지는 마 Don't look at me with those two sad eyes
볼 자신이 없어 난 I have no confidence to look
모두 똑같이 생각하는 뻔한 노래가 된다 해도 Even if it was a song that would make everyone feel the same way
너라면 알거야 내 진심을 You'll know my sincerity
목소리가 들린다면 대답해 Answer if you hear my voice
아직 못한 말이 남아있는데 There are still words I've not said
너는 어디쯤 있는지 말해줘 Tell me where you at
이 노래가 끝나기 전까지만 Only till the end of song
