What Is The Difference Between A Spirit Guide And An Angel

By consciousreminder

If youve spent much time in spiritual development circles or on New Age websites, youve certainly

run across references to spirit guides, guardian angels, archangels, the angelic realm and

many people use these terms fairly interchangeably.

But a spirit guide is not an angel, and there are many levels of angelic beings, including

the archangels.

My clients are fascinated by the concept of spirit guides and angels.

I like to offer the following definitions to people so they have a clearer idea of what

energy they are comfortable with and might like to work with.

What is a Spirit Guide?

We all have spirit guideswhether or not you believe in them or have yet to make contact,

you have at least one guide who is always present to assist you.

A spirit guide is a soul that has reached a certain point in their evolution so that

they aware and expanded enough to assist another soul in their evolution.

Guides have been incarnated as humans, so they understand the human experience.

They are capable of a level of non-judgment, compassion, and love that most of us can only

guess at.

Spirit guides have consciously and purposely taken on the role of being a guide.

They want to assist you; its their job!

They cant intervene in your life unless you ask.

I encourage all my clients to find a way to cultivate an awareness of and a relationship

to their guides.

Guides are like friends but with greater wisdom and unconditional love available.

Typically, we all have more than one.

We receive guides at different ages and stages of life, though usually we are done receiving

new guides by age 21 or so.

We can call on specialist guides and may receive temporary guides from time to

time to help with specific issues in life.

I havent met anyone who has more than seven guides; nor have I met anyone who doesnt

have at least one.

Spirit guides usually fulfill different roles in our life.

For example, I have two guides who help with healings and one that is more of a personal

confidante and helps with emotional issues.

One guides me spiritually, and I know there is one more, but I havent yet made personal

contact with it (something to look forward to).

Some people work with their guides to be better parents, to excel in their career, or to specifically

improve in the arena of personal growth or healing.

Contact with my guides comes about through specific meditations, in healing work, or,

once, in a lucid dream.

I see them in my minds eyeand they look like people.

They have different ethnicities, dress from different time periods, and sometimes they

tell me their names.

Everyones experience is different, though, so dont expect your guides to appear like

anyone elses.

Spirit animals exist, too, though they are different from a guide who has had a human

soul.

Often spirit animals are conduits of wisdom or act as protector spirits or companions.

What is an Angel?

Different spiritual traditions describe the angelic realms in various ways.

There seems to be agreement that there is a hierarchy of angels, and these groupings

are organized by function.

Like spirit guides, angels are also available for guidance and protection, and they embody

unconditional love, compassion, and wisdom.

It is not believed, however, that angels have ever been incarnated in any other form.

You may talk to angels and pray to themalthough they arent to be worshiped.

Some belief systems suggest that we all have a guardian angel whose job it is to watch

over us.

You can probably think of some close calls youve had in your life when you were delivered

from harm.

Guardian angels keep us safe in situations such as these and work through our intuition

to guide us away from dangerous choices.

Archangels are probably the most well known, outside of a strictly religious context.

Doreen Virtue has pioneered the knowledge and accessibility of this angelic realm.

There are several archangelssuch as Michael, Gabriel, and Raphaeland they govern different

areas of life.

Archangel Michael is the angel most called upon for protection and guidance; Raphael

is called in more frequently for healing.

I have clients who come from a more religious upbringing or context and find the idea of

working with angels to be more comfortable than the concept of spirit guides.

Angels can help you in your life as well as your guides.

In my own experience, spirit guides just seem more personal.

I experience angels when Im giving healings; often, both guides and angels will be present,

but they have different energies.

I see guides in detail whereas angels appear more as light.

My work with angels is limited specifically to healings, where they appear to assist with

my work on the client.

They dont belong to me or to the client but rather just show up.

When I see them, I know they are there to help, and I let them do whatever they need

to doI dont direct them.

We dont communicate, but I know they are there to heal, and, less frequently, for the

comfort and protection of the space.

Psychics have their own ways of working with either guides, angels, or both.

Some are actual angel practitioners and work exclusively with that realm on their clients

behalf.

Others will contact or channel your spirit guides for you or help you interact with your

guides on your own.

The great thing about angels and guides is that we have all this loving, wise help available

for us, however we choose to perceive that help and work with it in an active way.

Ten Things People Don't Realize You're Doing Because You're An Intuitive - Duration: 6:13.

10 Things People Don't Realize You're Doing Because You're An Intuitive

The MBTI inventory classifies iNtuitive types as those who place more interest (and often

more value) in theories, abstractions and the exploration of possibilities than they

do in the concrete realities of the world around them.

iNtuitive-dominant personality types (mainly ENFPs, ENTPs, INTJs and INFJs) are almost

always more interested in what isn't being said or considered than what is.

But since we live in a sensor-dominant world, intuitive behavior tends to stick out like

a sore thumb.

Almost every iNtuitive personality will be able to recall many experiences in which their

loved ones were thoroughly confused by their reasoning or behavior.

Here are ten behaviors people often don't understand are associated with being an iNtuitive

personality.

1.

Spurring debates.

iNtuitives don't fully understand an issue until they've considered it from every possible

angle.

These types aren't debating because they want to be difficult or impolite, they're

debating because they need to test the validity of the topic by arguing it from every side.

They want to see if any holes arise in their reasoning as they go, and some of their best

learning takes place through the process of debate.

2.

Obsessively planning for the future.

iNtuitives live almost exclusively in the future, they love considering which options

may arise for them, which goals they ought to set for themselves, what their lives may

look like in twenty or thirty years, etc.

Of course, it's impossible to plan every detail of one's life… so the plan is subject

to getting readjusted.

For extroverted iNtuitives (ENFPs and ENTPs), the readjusting happens almost daily.

For introverted intuitives (INFJs and INTJs), readjusting happens as needed, but the need

tends to arise regularly.

3.

Viewing the rules as suggestions.

It's not that iNtuitives are rebellious for the sake of it, it's just that they

analyze why a rule exists before deciding whether or not to follow it.

These types despise arbitrary action, so if they perceive a rule to be outdated or ineffective,

they have no problem casting it aside and doing things their way instead.

4.

Over-analyzing everything.

For the iNtuitive, it isn't enough to understand how a given issue applies to them, they have

to also understand the global implications of the issue, or the underlying theory that

ties is all together.

iNtuitives want to know the intangible explanation for every tangible problem, and it can drive

those around them a little bonkers.

5.

Placing little trust in authority.

iNtuitives types trust competence over qualification, and they want to make their own judgments

about how competent they find others to be.

iNtuitives are highly aware of the human tendency to favor convenience and prestige above analysis,

and they aren't quick to trust any established system simply because it's been in place

for a long time.

6.

Relentlessly seeking variety.

iNtuitive personalities are naturally drawn to the abnormal, the uncouth and the unconventional.

These types spend their entire lives attempting to piece together a comprehensive worldview,

which means that they seek to understand as many different oddities as possible.

Whether they're seeking novelty in their studies, their lifestyles or both, these types

are always on the hunt for new lenses through which they can view the world.

7.

Developing obscure interests.

Since what they don't know is almost always more interesting to the iNtuitive personality

than what they do know, these types are likely to take an interest in niche topics or theories.

Many iNtuitives enjoy exploring conspiracy theories or other such 'unfounded' methods

of reasoning, as they enjoy the 'mental gymnastics' aspect of linking seemingly

unrelated things together (even though they often don't believe the actual theories

themselves at the end of the day).

8.

Socializing selectively.

Extroverted iNtuitives (mainly ENFPs and ENTPs) are considered the most introverted of the

extroverted types.

Introverted iNtuitives (mainly INFJs and INTJs) may be more traditionally introverted in nature,

but put any of these types around in a room together and the conversation is likely to

flow on for hours (if not days, if not endlessly)!

iNtuitive-dominant types are often quickly exhausted by engaging with their physical

environment, but they are endlessly energized by quality conversation.

These types tend to consider themselves to be 'selectively social' – they'd rather

be alone than around people they don't connect with, but put them around other iNtuitive

types and their social side suddenly emerges with fervor.

9.

Playing devil's advocate.

If there's a sure-fire way to get under an iNtuitive's skin, it's to insist that

basically any issue is black or white.

These types are quick to assume the role of devil's advocate in any situation, where

they feel as though the opposing party is forming an opinion without considering the

alternative point of view.

These types are prone to vehemently arguing points they don't even agree with, just

to prove that an issue is more complex than those around them are assuming it to be.

10.

Pursing an unconventional life course.

iNtuitives are naturally drawn to the strange, the provocative and the unconventional.

They may be more prone than sensing types to have an entrepreneurial streak, to engage

in non-traditional relationship structures or to experiment with lifestyle choices that

are outside the societal norm.

Because these types take a 'why not' approach to their lives (or in the case of introverted

iNtuitives, their research and learning), they often find themselves unintentionally

rebelling from the rest of society.

It's not that they want to do everything differently – it's just that an iNtuitive's

lifestyle tends to reflect their mindset – and the mind of an iNtuitive is a very strange

territory indeed.

All in all, that's the 10 Things People Don't Realize You're Doing Because You're An

iNtuitive.

Fried Rice with aromas of Ma-yu and Negi-abura♪ ~How to make Ma-yu~ - Duration: 6:43.

1 tsp of Ma-yu and mix well.

Dish up to the plate.

Fried Rice with aromas of Ma-yu and Negi-abura♪

This time, I am going to make fried rice with aromas of Ma-yu and Negi-abura.

Ma-yu means black garlic oil and Negi-abura means scallion oil.

This frozen fried rice is sold by Ajinomoto Co., Ltd.

It is very delicious, so I decided to recreate it in my own way.

Prepare Char Siu.(Roast pork)

Slice 300 g of pork shoulder.

2 tbsp of soy sauce.

1 tbsp of Shaoxing wine.

1 tbsp of honey.

1 tsp of oyster sauce.

1 tbsp of sugar.

1/4 tsp of Chinese 5-spice powder.

Grate small piece of ginger(about 1 tsp) with skin.

Squeeze the ginger.

Put pork and rub well.

Marinate pork for 1 hour.

Make Ma-yu and Negi-abura.

Remove the skin from 10 cloves of garlic.

Slice it into 1 mm slices and remove the core.

Put a paper towel on a plate and spread it out.

Microwave it for 3 minutes at 500 W.

Cut green leek parts roughly.

Still more.

Microwave it for 2 minutes at 350 W.

Repeat this process until crisp.

Like this.

Dried garlic is done.

You must use dried garlic for making Ma-yu.

Sliced ginger.

Put 100 ml of oil and cook over low heat.

Make Ma-yu.

Put dried garlic and 200 ml of oil.

100 g of lard.

Adding lard makes Ma-yu very rich.

Once the oil begins to simmer, turn down the heat to low and cook for 15 minutes.

Once the oil begins to simmer, turn down the heat to low.

When the garlic turns lightly brown, remove 1/4 of garlic.

When the garlic turns more brown, remove 1/3 of garlic.

Turn the heat up to medium.

Deep-fry remaining garlic well until burnt black.

Still more.

OK

Good smell spreads in my kitchen.

Leave it and drain oil well.

Cool it down.

Grind fried garlic in a mortar.

Grind it into fine powder.

Like this.

2 tbsp of oil.

Grate well.

Pour more oil until your favorite thickness.

Mix lightly.

This Ma-yu sets as it cools because it contains lard.

Aromatic Ma-yu is done.

Pour Negi-abura into a jar with a lid.

Aromatic Negi-abura is done.

Roast pork.

Place the pork onto a preheated tray.

Cook for 4 minutes at 230℃(446F)

Spread the marinade and flip it over.

Spread the marinade over another surface and cook for 4 minutes.

Repeat this proses for 3 times.(4 min ×3=12min)

Raise the toaster temperature to 250℃(480F) and adjust the baking time to suit your toaster.

It's done.

Cool it down.

You can remove the stain easily if you wipe it while still hot.

Cut it into about 5 mm width.

End slice is of course for me to taste.

Char Siu goes well with・・・

KIRIN LAGER BEER!

Cheers!

Delicious!

Enjoy another end slice.

Resume cooking.

Cut into small pieces.

Chop some spring onion.

Beat an egg well.

Put 200 g rice on a plate in a doughnut shape and heat up in the microwave.

Prepare some salt and pepper.

Cooking.

Pour a lot of oil into a wok and turn on the burner.

1 tbsp of Negi-abura.

Use the back of a ladle to lightly push on the rice as you break it apart.

Salt and pepper.

Use 50 g of Cha Shao for 1 serving.

Taste.

1 tsp of Ma-yu.

Some spring onion.

Mix lightly and it's done.

It's ready to eat♪

Cheers.

Rice gets light and fluffy by cooking short time and high heat.

There are a lot of Char Siu dice, so I'm very happy.

It really hit the spot!

The aroma of Ma-yu and Negi-abura is amazing.

I ate it greedily because it has an addictive taste.
