Waching daily Jan 26 2018

I don't understand how to work the car seat.

Oh there we go, wait wait, no.

This wasn't my intention for this video

So before this video we wanted to tell you more about Puerto Rico.

and why we're there in the video and what happens after the video

So obviously you're seeing footage that was taken pre maria about two weeks pre maria.

and at that point in time we had made the decision to move permanently to

Puerto Rico and the reason we were there was it was pretty much our recon trip to

pick our marina. You'll see all that in the episode and so the reason we're

explaining this is because you know, because we're not. Yeah obviously everything that

happened in Puerto Rico it's terrible and you'll notice we're gonna have a

link there for you to donate to the governor's wife's fund for Puerto Rico

because obviously they're still rebuilding there are sections of Puerto Rico

that literally just got their power back. so please consider donating.

And our plan is still to move to Puerto Rico we will make that very clear we want to our goal

is to be in the Caribbean full-time and bringing you guys videos of everything

from Spanish Virgin Islands to the US Virgin Islands British Virgin Islands on

down the entire archipelago of the Caribbean to South America and

beyond and for us with Rivers and everything Puerto Rico became an

obvious choice for our sort of home base we just wanted to put this little intro

to the videos out there so you understand what our thought process was

in the videos it was pre Maria and we still want to show you the videos

because you'll see how beautiful Puerto Rico is and why we've decided we want

to move there and we merely changed our plans to make it sort of a two-step

process we're gonna go to Stuart Florida and

explore the Bahamas there's a ton of great Florida sailing. In what we think

will be about a year that we're in Stuart before making the second half of

our move to Puerto Rico. So apologize for, well I don't apologize for the video but we

don't do a lot of sightseeing it was very much like let's go down there and

we did it in three days and it was reconnaissance to see where we're gonna

stay and we kept saying oh well we can do that the next time we come down

because we'll be back in like three to six months we're gonna live here so we

show a lot of the marinas that yet we were considering so hopefully that's

valuable info to you as well we're still very excited about moving in Puerto Rico

and and we hope you enjoy our recon trip and you can see what Puerto Rico is and

can be and from what we hear it's it's gonna get back there but they do still

need a lot of help so let us know if there's anything you want to see

please comment below this video every video we'd love to hear from you

anything that you think is in our path that you'd like us to cover any

questions you have about the places we go or have been.

yeah please comment below of course subscribe throw us a like if you like

and also please consider being a patreon to help support our work in making these

videos we'd really appreciate it enjoy cheers cheers Cheers

there you go good job Cheers

straight from the airplane to the car to Luqello, our plan is to get

a little food stands it's called because we're in Puerto Rico

Its like eating a giant chunk of sweet bacon.

Our first stop was a small

marina called marina Puerto Chico on the northeastern coast

That out there is probably Culebra, way out there? And that is Vieques

still in Fajardo but just a little farther south was the gigantic puerto

del rey marina

okay well Loren has informed me she is sold. Done, I'm really easy. on marina

number two we're Puerto Del Rey it's the biggest marina in

the Caribbean which I mean bigger is not necessarily better but it's really nice

prices the most reasonable of all of them believe it or not and the

facilities are just killer it's just really nice the location is awesome

it's really pretty got Hills all around

this one might be tough to top we're gonna go look at the others anyway but

so this is the one to beat for sure and I don't think any of the other are going to beat it quite

honestly I already called it she called it but we're here so we should look

I wasn't ready. I was.

Hers tastes like a bowl of chocolate wonderfulness

the next day we took a beautiful cross-country Drive down to the south

eastern coast and the Yacht Club marina at Palmas Del Mar we are at option

number three this is the Yacht Club at Palmas Del Mar a very nice very small

marina that is part of the Palmas Del Mar gigantic complex of neighborhoods

and it's a really pretty marina but I've got a feeling that probably out of our

arrange but we're gonna go ask anyway because why not well that was a little

bit surprising the rates are really just barely more then Marina Del Rey the amenities

are really muy bueno

it was a very nice very peaceful little marina ton of space

so a little bit closer to Vieques then it would be to Culebra really close to Vieques

actually

look at that freakin view right there I mean oh my god that's the marina right

down there in the middle we're looking over at viajes over there

insane

Thoughts? I mean, its alright.

So I think we found our Beach

okay this place is really really winning us over big-time you can see all this

behind me it's just fantastic

that's the marina entrance and that Island right there you can see right

between the mouth of the marina that is Vieques

that was just a pelican diving for his dinner if you could see straight through

there you'd be looking at st. Croix all within a afternoon short very short

afternoon or morning sail to Vieques, a morning to late afternoon sail to the

British Virgin Islands and same to st. Croix

we're gonna have a beach day yeah I think we're gonna try to find one of the

Luqullio beaches that's supposed to be a good beginner intermediate surf beach

This is very important today. We've just spent so much time checking

places out it's kind of a tiring vacation. A lot of walking and lot of driving. My butt hurts.

it's too easy to like get your shorts up in a bunch waiting for your pina colada

people are just not in a hurry man. Just chit chating about the order with the guy and talking about this and that.

I was hot and kind of cranky it's alright.

I'm looking forward to getting myself in that mode because I need less stress.

Its just not as hot when a guy does it.

please take a moment to like and subscribe and be sure to follow us on

social media

thanks for watching Cheers

Trump Respect Must Be Shown To The U S - Duration: 2:04.

Trump: Respect Must Be Shown To The U.S.

President Donald Trump demanded that other countries respect the United States during

his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the World Economic Forum in Davos.

I have to say, on the United Nations, we were pretty much out in the wilderness by

ourselves, the United States, and we heard every country was going to be against us,

Trump said.

And it was very interesting.

I said, you know, we give billions and billions of dollars to these countries, it

amounts to hundreds of millions and sometimes into the billions for certain countries and

they vote against us, he continued.

And I made a very simple statement that Im watching.

Im watching.

Trump noted that after letting countries know that he was watching, 68 countries voted

with the United States or neutrally on moving the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

He also asserted that the United States will not continue to give money to Palestine unless

they sit down with Israel for peace talks.

So well see what happens with the peace process, but respect has to be shown to the

U.S., he concluded.

Or were just not going any further.

6 Signs You Are Experiencing Spiritual Vibration - Duration: 4:06.

6 Signs You Are Experiencing Spiritual Vibration

by Grace Akasha,

Energy is the building block of life, and it has the ability to vibrate and manifest

itself in highs and lows.

Energy vibrations hold paramount importance because they have a massive effect on how

we perform mentally and physically in our lives.

Energy is fuel on which all of life runs.

Without it, our minds and bodies deteriorate.

When we have prolific amounts of spiritual vibrations, we are able to function at our

optimum rate and are also able to grow spiritually.

Energy vibrations are always vacillating, changing their intensities.

If you have shifted to a low energy state, it isnt essentially a bad thing.

Its just an indication that the path youre travelling on isnt meant for you.

Thats why you often lack the drive to perform specific tasks.

No matter how much energy you try to expend in accomplishing them, you always fall short

of your objectives.

Our energy establishes a force of resistance to stop us from doing something we subconsciously

dislike.

Amplifying your energy vibrations when theyre at a heightened state can help you unleash

the true powers of your soul and mind.

However, first, its important to identify signs of high spiritual vibrations.

Some of them are listed below.

Indulging in healthy and Lively activities Activities that make us feel alive and give

us an adrenaline rush such as intense running, engaging in a challenging adventure, reading

an engrossing novel all enhance our vibrational frequencies.

Enjoying a period of good mental health

Spiritual vibrations have a massive impact on our physical well-being.

When were feeling healthy and lively, and functioning at our optimal state, we have

an immediate surge of vibrational energy.

Impeccable drive Sometimes, you feel a wave of motivation lifting

your spirits.

You feel as if you can accomplish everything if you set your mind to the task at hand.

You are not afraid to embark upon daring adventures and take on a tasks that you have a minute

chance of successfully completing.

Your high vibrational energy spurs this upbeat mindset.

Confidence in communication Fluency and confidence are evident in your

speech.

Your mind is open to all kinds of discussions.

You dont hesitate to give your opinion or discourse on a particular topic.

You want your voice to be heard because you have this immense vibrational energy inside

of you which propels you to make your presence known.

Financial stability or abundance If we have the right mindset and motivation,

we also have the drive to emerge triumphant in our jobs.

In periods of high vibrational energies, we have an abundance of wealth and other financial

assets.

We have a higher possibility of winning a lottery or receiving unexpected cash rewards.

Power to bring people closer to you We enjoy harmonious relationships with our

peers and lovers when we have high vibrational energy.

They get good vibes from you and treat yours with affection and care.

Ever felt like you made a mistake that practically ruined your relationship with someone but

they still found a way back into your life?

Its probably because of your intense spiritual vibrations.

The feeling of intent to reunite with them draws them towards you.

How Reading Rewires Your Brain For More Intelligence And Empathy - Duration: 8:32.

How Reading Rewires Your Brain For More Intelligence And Empathy

By consciousreminder

Fitness headlines promise staggering physical results: a firmer butt, ripped abs, bulging

biceps.

Nutritional breakthroughs are similar clickbait, with attention-grabbing, if often inauthenticwhat,

really, is a superfood?means of achieving better health.

Strangely, one topic usually escaping discussion has been shown, time and again, to make us

healthier, smarter, and more empathic animals: reading.

Reading, of course, requires patience, diligence, and determination.

Scanning headlines and retweeting quips is not going to make much cognitive difference.

If anything, such sweet nothings are dangerous, the literary equivalent of sugar addiction.

Information gathering in under 140 characters is lazy.

The benefits of contemplation through narrative offer another story.

The benefits are plenty, which is especially important in a distracted, smartphone age

in which one-quarter of American children dont learn to read.

This not only endangers them socially and intellectually, but cognitively handicaps

them for life.

One 2009 study of 72 children ages eight to ten discovered that reading creates new white

matter in the brain, which improves system-wide communication.

White matter carries information between regions of grey matter, where any information is processed.

Not only does reading increase white matter, it helps information be processed more efficiently.

Reading in one language has enormous benefits.

Add a foreign language and not only do communication skills improveyou can talk to more people

in wider circlesbut the regions of your brain involved in spatial navigation and learning

new information increase in size.

Learning a new language also improves your overall memory.

In one of the most fascinating aspects of neuroscience, language affects regions of

your brain involving actions youre reading about.

For example, when you read soap and lavender, the parts of your brain implicated

in scent are activated.

Those regions remain silent when you read chair. What if I wrote leather chair?

Your sensory cortex just fired.

Continuing from the opening paragraph, lets discuss squats in your quest for a firmer

butt.

Picture the biomechanics required for a squat.

Your motor cortex has been activated.

Athletes have long envisioned their movementsSerena Williamss serve; Conor McGregors kicks;

Usain Bolts bursts of speedto achieve better proficiency while actually moving.

Thats because their brains are practicing.

That is, theyre practicing through visualization techniques.

Hard glutes are one thing.

Novel reading is a great way to practice being human.

Rather than sprints and punches, how about something more primitive and necessary in

a society, like empathy?

As you dive deeper into Rabbit Angstroms follies or Jason Taylor coming of age, you

not only feel their pain and joy.

You actually experience it.

In one respect novels go beyond simulating reality to give readers an experience unavailable

off the page: the opportunity to enter fully into other peoples thoughts and feelings.

This has profound implications for how we interact with others.

When encountering a 13-year-old boy misbehaving, you most likely wont think, Well, David

Mitchell wrote about such a situation, and so I should behave like this, but you might

have integrated some of the lessons about young boys figuring life out and display a

more nuanced understanding in how you react.

Perhaps youll even reconsider trolling someone online regarding their political opinion,

remembering that no matter how crass and inhumane a sentiment appears on screen, an actual human

is sitting behind the keyboard pecking out their thoughts.

Im not arguing against engaging, but for the love of anything closely resembling humanity,

argue intelligently.

Because reading does in fact make us more intelligent.

Research shows that reading not only helps with fluid intelligence, but with reading

comprehension and emotional intelligence as well.

You make smarter decisions about yourself and those around you.

All of these benefits require actually reading, which leads to the formation of a philosophy

rather than the regurgitation of an agenda, so prevalent in reposts and online trolling.

Recognizing the intentions of another human also plays a role in constructing an ideology.

Novels are especially well-suited for this task.

A 2011 study published in the Annual Review of Psychology found overlap in brain regions

used to comprehend stories and networks dedicated to interactions with others.

Novels consume time and attention.

While the benefits are worthwhile, even shorter bursts of prose exhibit profound neurological

effects.

Poetry elicits strong emotional responses in readers and, as one study shows, listeners.

Heart rates, facial expressions, and movement of their skin and arm hairs were measured

while participants listened to poetry.

Forty percent ended up displaying visible goose bumps, as they would while listening

to music or watching movies.

As for their craniums: Their neurological responses, however, seemed

to be unique to poetry: Scans taken during the study showed that listening to the poems

activated parts of participants brains that, as other studies have shown, are not

activated when listening to music or watching films.

These responses mostly occurred near the conclusion of a stanza and especially near the end of

the poem.

This fits in well with our inherent need for narrative: in the absence of a conclusion

our brain automatically creates one, which, of course, leads to plenty of heartbreak and

suffering when our speculations prove to be false.

Instead we should turn to more poetry: There is something fundamental to the poetic

form that implies, creates, and instills pleasure.

Whether an Amiri Baraka verse or a Margaret Atwood trilogy, attention matters.

Research at Stanford showed a neurological difference between reading for pleasure and

focused reading, as if for a test.

Blood flows to different neural areas depending on how reading is conducted.

The researchers hope this might offer clues for advancing cognitive training methods.

I have vivid memories of my relationship with reading: trying to write my first book (Scary

Monster Stories) at age five; creating a mock newspaper after the Bernard Goetz subway shooting

when I was nine, my mother scolding me for thinking about such things; sitting

in the basement of my home in the Jersey suburbs one weekend morning, determined to read the

entirety of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which I did.

Reading is like any skill.

You have to practice it, regularly and constantly.

While I never finished (or really much started) Scary Monster Stories, I have written nine

books and read thousands more along the way.

Though its hard to tell if reading has made me smarter or a better person, I like

to imagine that it has.

What I do know is that life would seem a bit less meaningful if we didnt share stories

with one another.

While many mediums for transmitting narratives across space and time exist, Ive found

none as pleasurable as cracking open a new book and getting lost in

a story.

Something profound is always discovered along the way.

English Pancakes - Shrove Tuesday Pancake Day Special - Duration: 5:49.

A huge welcome, It's a scorcher today in Australia, I think I am going to have to make some changes

to this jacket before I can carry on making pancakes.

That's a bit better, I am going to have to get some tan on the old arms, I want to talk

to you about pancake day or Shrove Tuesday, it comes around every year, in about three

weeks I think from now, early part of February.

It's a time of the year in the UK where people make a special English style of Pancake.

It's not a crepe, it's not an American pancake, thick and fluffy, it's a thin pancake, a little

bit like a crepe, a little bit thicker more egg content but they taste so good.

Now you will see events around the country at this time of year, where they are doing

pancake tossing, they actually have pancake races where they'll pop the pancake into a

pan and they'll run around the village, sort of flipping the pancakes as they go.

But to me this is the time of year when dads, grandads, older brothers and husbands can

get into the kitchen and cook pancakes for the family.

Now you don't need to stack these up because as you are cooking them you are serving them

and the kids are eating them and they are going as quick as you can make them.

I want to show you how to make the batter, it's very simple and then we'll get on and

I'll show you how to do the pancakes.

This is a super simple batter, it's about 120g or a cup of All purpose flour. A quarter

of a teaspoon of salt in there and then I'm just going to take my whisk and just give

it little whisk through.

Next we are going to take 2 eggs, I'm just going to crack it on the surface, drop them

in with the flour, So like I say it's 2 fresh eggs.

Now don't use any of that awful skinny milk, use full cream milk.

I've got about 200mls here I want to make it up with a little bit of water.

So we are going up to about 300mls, I think thats about 10 fl oz. Now if you use skinny

milk you probably haven't got any real milk in it , so I suggest starting with a good

base of full cream milk.

Just going to pop, probably close to half of that in there, just keep it back for the moment.

I'll start with my whisk and we're going to form this up into a nice batter.

Then I'm going to add the rest of the liquid in and gently start to mix this through.

So we have a batter here now that looks a little bit like a thick cream.

We can't use this batter straight away you need to leave it for about 30 minutes to an

hour to let the flour bloom a little and then we are ready to pancake.

You are going to want a non stick pan you could use a skillet, they can be a little

bit heavy but we don't fry pancakes with much oil, if any oil at all.

Maybe just a little smear of butter.

So like I say get that pan nice and hot, maybe a little smear of butter on the inside, nothing

too much.

I am going to take a scoop of pancake batter.

Thats probably about 3 tablespoons of batter, just going to pour it into the centre of the

pan.

Now just turn the pan around get a nice even coating, You might need to just release the

edge of the pancake, release the pancake from the pan and are you ready flip it over.

Now you can see the pan is not quite hot enough, I'm getting these beautiful little bubbles

on here, I'm just going to flip that over one more time.

Rule of pancakes everybody knows this the first pancake is never going to come out perfect

and thats why chef always has the first pancake.

Now I'm just going to pop that on to my plate and now the pan is starting to come up to

temperature, I'm going to put myself another scoop in there.

Now the second pancake always comes out better so I'll just give that a little twirl round.

You'll see this time I haven't put any oil in at all, as the pancakes starts to just warm

on the side, you might not need to use anything to loosen it off, a little tap, a little shake

may get it loose.

Again I'm going to take that, a give it a little twist round, you can see I've got a nice golden

brown this time on the back.

And pancake number 2 is ready.

Now you can stack the pancakes but I tend to think it's nice to cook, toss them over

and serve them straight away to the kids or family but the best way, the best way to serve

these pancakes is not with your Nutella and all your strange toppings.

The traditional way, the way I like to do it, is to take a little bit of fresh lemon,

squeeze some of that beautiful fresh lemon juice over the pancake and then we're going

to take our pancake and just roll it up.

Take yourself a fork, cut it through, trust me I'm not going to tell you how to eat pancakes,

if you want them with chocolate sprinkles on, Nutella, whatever you like, try them with

lemon and sugar first they are so good.

Here goes ahh that just encapsulates pancake day or Shrove Tuesday. So this February 13th

get up, make yourself some batter in the morning, get cooking those pancakes for the kids.

You might want 2 or 3 times what i've made here because they really go quickly.

I can't tell you how much I love these pancakes they take me back to my childhood Give them

a try, they are not crepes, they are not American Pancakes, they are English style, Shrove Tuesday,

tossing pancakes and they taste so good. Be good.

Cake Decorator Vs. Artist - Duration: 5:13.

- Just look at her hands and my hands,

that's the difference here.

(drums)

- I've been making cakes for 8 years.

How is this a contest?

- Well, Bree has the techniques,

but does she have the creativity?

I don't think so.

- I am a professional cake decorator

and owner of Bree's Cakes here in Los Angeles.

- I've maybe made like 3 cakes in my life.

I have been drawing my whole life.

I don't feel as confident I think.

At least the colors will be nice.

- I feel really confident about this

cause I do this everyday.

- Hi-five.

(squeals)

Let's do this. - Alright.

- Wait, there are rules?

- What kind of rules?

- Okay. - Okay.

That's necessary. - That's doable.

- Okay.

(suspenseful music)

Oh. - Oh.

Okay. - Okay good.

So I decided for my Sweet Sixteen cake

to do very vibrant colors cause if I was 16 again,

I'd want bright colors like pink and purple and blue.

So I'm gonna take all those colors

and make a striped buttercream

and then top it with a fondant bow.

- So today I'm gonna be making a cake inspired

by my favorite book, The Little Prince,

and I'm gonna make the cake look like a meteor,

then I'm gonna make a little rose made out of fondant.

It's gonna be great.

- It's not as easy as it looks, is it?

- Oh, no.

Awful.

Oh no.

Are you supposed to knead it like this?

- I don't know.

(laughs)

I've never used it before.

- This black goes with anything.

- There's gloves, your hands are gonna get dyed.

- Oh, it's for art.

- You're like my competition right now,

I can't tell you everything.

- Oh. I'm not here to win, I'm here to make friends.

(laughs)

- I am 100 percent self-taught and I taught myself

how to make cakes from watching TV shows

like Cake Boss and Ace of Cakes.

I used YouTube a lot, just kind of Googled things,

and here I am, 8 years later, and now I own a bakery.

(upbeat music)

- So, I'm gonna do something really crazy.

- Uh oh. Are you gonna cut it?

- Yes.

I've never shaved a cake like this before.

And it's really hard.

- It's very risky of you to do that.

- Yeah, I'm a risk taker.

- You're a whisk taker.

- A whisk taker!

- You're welcome.

- The story of The Little Prince

is this little kid that lives

on a planet called Asteroid B-16,

and he falls in love with a rose

that grows on this planet.

- I'm gonna take a deep breath for her,

and say a quick little prayer.

(upbeat music)

- I'm really happy with it.

I'm happy that the colors didn't bleed together,

and that the border stayed structurally sound,

and the bow is standing up without collapsing.

- This is Asteroid B-16, which is like,

16th birthday, so it makes sense.

It's thematic.

It was an accident, but it worked out.

It was a messy process,

you can see that on my hands and the table.

I think it came together pretty well.

Now I guess strangers

are gonna come in and judge our cakes.

- Do we have to be here when they judge,

or can we like leave?

- You know guys, I didn't have a Sweet Sixteen,

just cause I'm really bad at planning,

but I would've loved for either of these to be my cake.

- This one definitely sells the Sweet Sixteen,

something about the colors and there's a bow on top,

so it's almost like a present and a package.

This cake, I think, is slightly cooler to me,

just cause it's weirder.

- Is this like a Beauty and the Beast thing?

I don't really know.

- I think this one represents the theme better.

- I am super impressed.

I do not know who to choose.

- This one, though, I have to say is my favorite.

It's a rainbow, it just looks like

I want to put it in my mouth right now.

- If it were my Sweet Sixteen,

which I really wish it was,

I would take the weird one.

- For like a 16 year old girl,

I would think that this is what she would want.

This is what I would want.

- I like this one.

- This is the cake I'd want to cut into

on camera in front of all my friends on Instagram later.

(applause)

- Thank you, to the people.

- Congratulations.

- Thank you.

Well, what do I win?

Yay, look at my trophy.

It says, bragging rights.

- The Little Prince was kind of an obscure reference,

and I kind of made it for myself,

like a selfish artist.

- Oh, this is going up on a shelf in my bakery.

- Can we eat them now?

(upbeat music)

BREAKING: Soros Just Had Major Run-In With Trump In Davos – This Could Kill Him!

President Donald Trump is in Davos, Switzerland this week to meet with world leaders and apparently,

Globalist Godfather George Soros is there too.

Perhaps the millionaire man leading the charge against the president didn't think he'd

ever have to come face-to-face with his nemesis, but he did today and wasn't expecting what

he got in return.

The decrepit old fellow met his match and he might not make it out alive after what

Trump just did to him.

Ever since Trump defeated Satanic Democrat Hillary Clinton in the election, the left

has been doing all they can to bring him down.

Democrats want the government to control our lives, and they want to take our hard-earned

money and give it to their constituents in return for their loyalty at the ballot box.

This is how they stay in power year after year.

So when Trump came along and wanted less government control, and for us to keep more of what we

earned, the Dems were having none of it – especially George Soros.

Trump has systematically destroyed a corrupted system that Democrats love, that Soros has

fought tooth and nail to get back with his constant and corrupt undermining efforts.

It took a powerful, unapologetic giant that is President Trump to strike fear into the

most corrupt man in the world.

George Soros seemed to admit that in his latest claim made from Davos this week when he suffered

a panic over what Trump was pulling off at the Global leader meetings where the two were

both in attendance.

"In remarks broadcasted by Bloomberg, a panicked George Soros told a room full of

'Davosmen,' at the World Economic Forum that President Trump's policies pose a danger

to the entire world," The Gateway Pundit reported.

"Bloomberg Terminal summarized Soros' talk, described as a summary of the 'bleak

state of the world.'"

The only one who is making a "bleak state" is Soros himself by creating everything counter

to the success of our country to obtain total control.

He's responsible for funding Black Lives Matter and Antifa protests, pro-abortion and

amnesty efforts, and that's just a start.

His billions have been the liberal left's driving force to success and President Trump

is a threat to that investment as our country's Commander-in-Chief.

A glance at the following list of known Soros-funded projects compiled by Wikipedia wouldn't

have been possible without the globalist godfather's cash.

Everything he's funded goes against the American way and is a real threat to the world.

He's who can accurately claim responsibility for creating a "mafia state."

Algebra Project Center for Constitutional Rights

Media Matters for America American Civil Liberties Union

Center for Public Integrity Human Rights Watch

Amnesty International Ireland Priorities USA Action

American Bridge 21st Century National Democratic Voting Rights Trust

America Votes Senate Majority PAC

Planned Parenthood Action Fund Immigrant Voters Win PAC

End Citizens United Every Voice

Everything Soros has created is in Trump's crosshairs and he's not afraid to use his

presidential power to compromise his globalist efforts.

This clearly has Soros in a panic in the fight for control that he's on the losing end

of.

If his decrepit appearance is any indication of his health and combined with his age, the

amount of stress that Trump is rightfully causing him could be the end of him.

He's working overtime to counter the president, by promising "nationwide riots," as perhaps

a last ditch effort to destroy the country.

When Trump came along and wanted less government control, and for us to keep more of what we

earned, the Dems were having none of it.

Trump is systematically destroying a corrupted system that Democrats love, so it's no surprise

they are fighting back tooth & nail.

They are fighting back by concocting stories about collusion with Russia to undermine President

Trump by casting doubt on his legitimacy.

It has been almost a year since the investigations into collusion began, and to date, there is

absolutely ZERO evidence that any took place.

At the head of the investigation is special counsel Robert Mueller.

When Mueller was appointed to look into possible collusion on the part of the Trump campaign,

he immediately hired a team of investigators who had close ties to the Clinton crime family.

One top FBI agent who hates Trump had to be fired after it became known that he conspired

against him with others, and tainted the investigation.

President Trump has fired Mueller after it became obvious this is just a Democrat witch-hunt

to take him down.

This move is exactly what top Demoncrat socialist, George Soros, well-known for funding anti-American

organizations that send thugs & terrorists into the streets to wreak havoc on our lives,

promised would spark nationwide riots.

President Trump was fully within his Constitutional rights to fire Mueller.

Many Republican lawmakers believe it was the right thing to do just that as it's obvious

this isn't about justice, it's about taking out Trump because butthurt libs just can't

get over the fact that he won.

what do you think about this?

Why People Keep Eating Tide Pods - Duration: 5:51.

♪Intro♪

Over the last few months, you might have seen people sharing photos online of Tide laundry

detergent pods as pizza toppings, or like a big plate of ravioli.

Like any meme, it's funny because it's absurd.

You're obviously not supposed to eat laundry detergent, but those little pods are kind

of food-like.

But then there's the Tide pod challenge, where people — mostly teenagers — started

posting videos of themselves taking a bite.

And the problem is, the pods are actually pretty dangerous.

In the first 3 weeks of 2018, at least 86 American teens have gotten sick enough to

alert poison control.

People have understandably started freaking out, and YouTube and Facebook are pulling

the videos out of public safety concerns.

So, why have Tide pods spun out of control?

We're going to try to break down the psychology behind the fad and explain how risky choices

and internet fame could've played a part.

For one, the pods kind of look like oversized candies or Gushers fruit snacks.

They're bite-sized, and can have colorful swirls.

That's probably why toddlers chow down on them.

They're expecting a treat, not a concentrated dose of cleaning goop.

Adults might not be deceived, but this whole pods-as-food meme could've started for similar

reasons.

Turns out, even the shiny plastic coating might be appealing.

Humans like glossy objects, and one psychology study suggests it's because they remind

us of water, which we need to survive.

In one experiment, people rated glossy items as even more desirable when they were fed

crackers but not given a drink, compared to a group of people who got both.

Tide also describes its original pod scent as having "floral and fruity notes," almost

like it's a fancy wine.

Of course, not all of them read l ike a menu.

The 'Plus Febreeze' and 'Spring Meadow' versions sound like the laundry detergents

that they are.

But using food-related marketing to promote cleaning or hygiene products is common, and

it's led to some problems before.

We love food, so companies will draw on those associations to make their boring cleaning

products more appealing.

Just think about 'sugar cookie' candles, 'watermelon fusion' shampoo, or bath bombs

in virtually every cupcake flavor.

And while it seems obvious that we shouldn't eat those things, people have.

One study found that packaging is partly to blame.

If you put people in an fMRI machine and have them look at basic designs of cleaning products,

sometimes the same parts of the brain that respond to food packaging become activated.

The study is very preliminary, but the authors suggest that food-related marketing fools

your brain, at some level, into thinking cleaning products are edible.

But there's still a leap between thinking Tide pods look kind of like candy and eating

them for fun.

And this is where being a teenager could be important.

Teens are notorious for doing risky things, and a lot of that may be related to brain

development.

In those awkward years, scientists think the prefrontal cortex, which helps regulate self-control,

is still developing.

At the same time, the reward-sensitive parts of the brain are extra active.

That imbalance seems to be even more out of whack when teens are being social or surrounded

by friends.

And teens seem to take more chances than adults when it comes to unknown risks, like using

a drug they don't know much about.

Because they might focus on possible rewards more than possible consequences.

It's not that you can't override this risk-taking behavior, but it could explain why we're

seeing teenagers, rather than older adults, popping Tide pods in their mouths.

Another part of it might have to do with the warnings not to eat the pods, which might

make people think, "How bad could they be?"

This gets at something psychologists call reactance.

People hate being told what to do.

A natural reaction to a limit on your independence is to do a thing anyway.

Researchers have seen this with warning labels on cigarettes and violent video games — they

can backfire and actually increase the appeal.

This is sometimes called the boomerang effect or forbidden fruit effect.

To be fair, not all warnings do this, and it doesn't affect everyone.

So it's hard to say whether this is actually driving people to eat the pods.

The vast majority of people aren't doing it, because, well, they get that eating concentrated

laundry detergent isn't good.

But something has to be prolonging the joke, and maybe it has to do with internet fame.

Some psychologists have noticed that in recent years, more and more pre-teens have become

preoccupied with fame, and are using social media to get it.

In one focus group, 8 out of 20 kids said fame was the most important value to them,

beating out things like kindness or success.

And the Tide pod challenge is also exactly the type of thing that tends to go viral,

which is what these people probably want for their videos.

Researchers have repeatedly found that content that makes us emotional is more likely to

be shared.

That can include things like anxiety or awe, as well as disgust.

Now, because burning curiosity might encourage more risky behavior and challenge videos,

here's what happens when you eat a Tide pod.

And, frankly, there's a lot of burning.

Laundry pods are full of chemicals called surfactants, which are molecules that can

grab ahold of dirt on one end, and attract water on the other.

So when they're rinsed away, they remove grime.

That means they're great at cleaning clothes, but aren't meant to be inside of your body.

Once they're in your mouth, the pod chemicals will start eating away at your tissues — from

your throat down to your stomach.

The most common reaction to all this is vomiting, which can be extreme, like throwing up blood.

Kids who have eaten the pods have stopped breathing, had seizures, or gone into comas.

A few children have died, as well as several adults with dementia who ate pods.

Doctors don't know for sure why pods are so dangerous, because regular liquid laundry

detergent isn't as bad.

It could be because of the higher concentration, the ingredients, or something about the packet

itself.

Laundry pods are also more toxic than dishwasher pods, and liquid pods are worse than powder

ones.

So of course the Tide pod challenge involves the most hazardous concoction.

So, Internet, we understand the appeal.

Or at least we can guess, until some psychologists do serious research on challenge videos.

These pods are enough like food that the memes can be funny.

But please don't actually eat them.

You can't enjoy your fame if you're dead.

Jet lag and Museum Day | Madrid Travel Vlog - Duration: 12:26.

Good morning...

Oh my gosh, I feel so, so tired.

I mean, I had heard about jet lag but, I never knew it felt like this.

It's already 9PM and the sun still hasn't set which is very weird to me.

Anyway, I am super hungry!

I'm planning on going to the famous tapas

the restaurant called "El Tigre".

I really wanna eat a lot.

The sun is setting and the sky is... gray.

Oh my goodness, the buildings here are incredible!

And, I love it whenever they have the windows trimmed in light.

This architecture is amazing.

Dude! The nightlife here is crazy.

I mean, I think it makes sense that people are still out

because the sun sets so late.

I think El Tigre closes at like 1:30AM.

It's pretty cool!

We have arrived!

So, you just ask for the drink, and then they give you this whole big plate... for free!

I ate enough food for the next four days!

It was a pretty cool place.

I'm gonna get home now, it's already almost 12AM.

Obviously I'm not that sleepy 'cause for me, it's barely 5PM.

This always happens to me.

I accidentally went in the wrong direction.

I was already like 5 stations in.

It really stresses me out how annoyingly distracted I am.

Finally got off the metro.

My battery's about to d...

I just got home!

I had to knock on the door and wake everyone up.

How embarrassing.

Tomorrow, I'm getting up early to go to the supermarket.

Look who's sleeping with me today.

Good morning!

I'm feeling pretty chill.

Usually, I feel kind of anxious about being alone, things like that.

I haven't really had any of those anxiety moments or anything.

I'm too sleepy to think.

I really need to sleep more but, obviously, if I sleep now, I'm gonna waste the whole day!

I need to go take a shower desperately!

I feel so nasty from the whole trip, so I'm gonna go do everything that I need to do

and then go explore some.

So, I haven't left yet.

I'm just here chilling with Nicki.

Right now, I still need to get some work done.

I'm updating my schedule on Google calendar.

I'm not in a hurry, but I am in a hurry because I'm very hungry!

Hi, baby!

Walking to the supermarket. It's right on the corner.

I'm back from the supermarket and I got quite a lot of things,

I think it's gonna be either just enough or a little bit extra

for the rest of my days here.

I'll see how much it lasts me.

Oh, and about the fruit and the veggies, you have to weigh them at the fruit section.

The lady at the cashier was like "Oh, you need to get these weighed!"

They separate them in bags, they seal the bags off, and they put the price sticker on them.

Anyway, I'm gonna eat breakfast now.

So... today's another lazy day!

Right now I decided to stay home 'cause these are the only days I get to not do anything.

I'm giving a few classes freelance, but I haven't really been working that much.

And, I just set up a new gig on Fiverr for translation, for English to Spanish translation.

it's something that I've done my whole life...

I've never done it on a professional level.

But, anyway, I'm gonna just play the ukulele for a while!

As soon as I was about to leave, one of my hosts came by and she was like,

"Hey! Do you like museums?

Today, there are two museums that I know of that are free!"

I was like, "Ah! Perfect!"

The day is really nice but it's a little colder today.

Yesterday, it stayed at around 22° C all day.

Today, it's like 17° C. I think I'm gonna regret not having brought my sweater.

Hello from right outside El Museo del Prado.

I believe they close at around 8PM, so I'm just gonna

walk around and see what there is. Appreciate the beauty!

Nooo!

I have no idea where the entrance to this one is.

I think I finally found the entrance.

It's closed! It's closed!!

I'm so sad, but I still have the other museum to go to

and I was able to take some cool drone shots, so I'm happy about that.

I double-checked, the other museum closes at 9PM.

I don't know why they closed this one earlier.

The other museum is like a ten-minute walk away.

It's super windy right now!

I just arrived to Museo Reina Sofia.

There are some DJs playing tonight

and they're open until 12, midnight, so that's good news.

They're letting in quite a lot of people.

I just came out of an exposition by Bruce Conner, it was pr etty cool!

It's already 10PM.

I was gonna stay to the concert, to the DJs, but I'm like super tired!

I think it's a mix of jet lag and walking around so much.

My feet really hurt, so I'm just gonna head out, and then, yeah!

Gonna fill this belly up!

I'm freezing my tail off!

I really, really regret not having brought my sweater.

As soon as I stepped out the door, I said,

"Dang. Today's gonna be a cold day, I should probably bring my sweater."

See!

You should listen to your instinct!

I didn't listen to mine, so now I'm freezing cold and I'm facing the consequences.

I'm really hungry, I'm starving.

I'm gonna go home already.

Dinner is served!

It's already midnight.

Tomorrow, I'm hoping to wake up at 7:30AM.

Right now, I'm just gonna eat dinner real quick, and then finally go to sleep

and hopefully wake up tomorrow... earlier than I did today

'cause tomorrow's Friday!

TGIF!
