Wang Jiwon reunites with toe shoes after 8 years! [The Swan Club /2018.01.03] - Duration: 8:43.

(Pointe shoes for ballerinas)

(represent their childhood passion)

(and the pain they had to endure.)

(Ballerina and pointe shoes)

(are like a couple in a long relationship.)

(Meanwhile,)

(Jiwon puts on her pointe shoes.)

What I was feeling was quite different today.

Even the air was different.

I wondered

if this was how it feels

to meet someone who I've longed

to be with again for so long.

The fact that I was performing in pointe shoes

is why I was probably having all sorts of

these mixed feelings.

I'm scared to wear these again.

(She puts tape on her feet to protect them.)

(Worrying)

What if my feet end up getting torn?

What if they bleed?

(She was hesitant to wear pointe shoes again.)

(She awkwardly reunites with pointe shoes again.)

(That hurts.)

My feet hurt already.

(Let's try and be friends again.)

(Pressing down)

(She wanted to dance in pointe shoes this time.)

I thought about it a lot.

(She contemplated for a long time.)

I wanted to do all these techniques,

but my body and feet were at the stage

where I was still familiarizing them to ballet again.

I was also worried about getting injured again too.

First and foremost, I just wanted to do well.

Gosh, it hurts.

My feet.

My feet.

It hurts.

(She pushes through the pain)

(She pushes through the pain)

(to break in her pointe shoes.)

Is this really necessary?

(Will she be able to dance in them after eight years?)

You look absolutely stunning.

I'm so nervous today.

- Don't be. / - You can do it.

- All right then. / - Why am I nervous too?

I know what you mean.

(Those watching are even more nervous than she is.)

(Jiwon dances in pointe shoes)

(for the first time in eight years.)

(The performance begins.)

(She begins with cautious steps.)

(But then she becomes one with the pointe shoes)

(and showcases perfect facial expressions.)

(To the modulation of the song,)

(she expresses the changes in her emotions.)

(Just like a tragic heroine)

(She moves)

(like she hasn't been retired for eight years.)

(More passionately than anything,)

(Jiwon reunites with pointe shoes.)

(Wow!)

- Wang Jiwon, Wang Jiwon. / - Wang Jiwon, Wang Jiwon!

(We knew she'd deliver.)

- Today... / - You were beautiful.

- It was like watching a show. / - I know.

It was like a solo out of a ballet show.

I feel like I just watched the best solo ever.

Jiwon still has

the physique and lines

of a professional ballerina.

Her techniques will be all back

with just a bit of practice.

That's why I want her

to push herself a little bit more.

- Of course. / - More?

Well...

(Since she's already good...)

I get greedy when it comes to her.

Anyway, thank you so much.

(Jiwon walks back in after her performance.)

(He watches closely.)

I find it so funny when ballerinas walk in

with their toes pointed out.

(The characteristic walk of ballerinas)

Now we have seen all six performances

- of "Waltz of the Flowers". / - That's right.

Who is the winner of today's solo challenge?

In my mind, this person

was undoubtedly the winner the moment I saw her.

There were many others

that moved me with their dancing today,

but the artistic value is what touches the audience.

So, who is the winner today?

(They all interpreted the song in their own way.)

(Which solo performance shined the most?)

- So, who is the winner today? / - Right.

The lady fighting through pain. It's Jumi.

(Jumi, the swan fighting through her injury)

My gosh. I actually...

I agree.

It was really beautiful.

- Goodness. / - Your performance was elegant.

- So, this is how it feels. / - Today...

It's not easy to interpret the detail in the music

and express those emotions through your dancing

in a comprehensive manner.

(Jumi expressed morning to the beginning of the song.)

(Her arms and her facial expressions were elegant.)

All those years of acting shone through.

- It was amazing. / - I enjoyed it.

It feels good even though there isn't a prize.

Jumi, the winner of today's challenge,

will win something special at today's dinner.

Normally, you each order a stew,

- but today... / - She can have a meat dish.

(They burst out laughing.)

Jumi can order

braised spicy chicken!

(She gets to order braised spicy chicken.)

How does it feel to win today?

Place the chicken right here for me.

Can you say a few words?

My gosh, I'm still shaking.

I'm so happy that I might buy dinner today.

She's ecstatic.

I came in as the oldest swan,

and I injured myself by pushing myself.

I still have a long way to go,

so I think she gave me first place today

to motivate me even more.

Still, even though I know why she chose me,

I felt incredibly happy.

I honestly did my best today.

(The next day)

Does it hurt when I move your leg like so?

- It rings a bit. / - Of course.

- Not on this side though. / - No.

How tight are her muscles?

A lot.

- Oh no. / - It's her entire leg.

We still have to dance in class,

so what moves should she stay away from?

She can do plies,

but not anything that requires a jump.

We learned pas de deux recently.

It hurt so much during the class.

- What I'm saying is... / - I could tell.

I didn't want to miss out though.

(Two weeks ago,)

(she learned the jump lift.)

Let's try the lift.

(Even with her injury, she participated in class.)

Isn't it scary?

- Are you, all right? / Yes.

Fold forward for me.

(She came here because of the consistent pain.)

Where does it start hurting?

Here.

Does it still hurt?

- I bet it doesn't. / - Well...

- Where it hurts... / - Isn't it all right?

Do a grand plie. Like I told you before,

- squeeze your core. / - My core.

Lower down while pushing your knees out.

Lift the heels and lower down. It's all right.

Now place your heels back down and rise up.

(Jumi learns how to use her muscles.)

I didn't want to hold back the team,

and I didn't want any more injuries.

Staying in better shape

is how I can keep my promise and stay responsible.

(The beginner conquers her injury with hard work.)

Three. That's better.

Are you okay here?

Now breathe in and breath out through your mouth.

That's it. Lower your head to the mat.

Son YeonJae reveals her unique fouette turn! [The Swan Club /2018.01.03] - Duration: 2:40.

So, next up is Yeonjae.

(What did Yeonjae come up with?)

I need to come up with a choreography.

(Yeonjae's friend and rhythmic gymnastics coach)

Something like this.

What do you think?

This doesn't suit me, right?

Is this your homework?

(I have to come up with a choreography,)

(but I don't know where to start.)

(First, she lets herself move to the music.)

I want you to incorporate fouette turns.

To this music?

Choose the appropriate section of the song.

(Turning on one leg while holding up the other)

- It's up to the song. / - The beat is off.

I want to see your fouette turns.

(Will we be able to see Yeonjae's fouette turns?)

(She begins)

(seated like a flower.)

(Then the flower wakes up)

(and greets everyone with its eyes.)

(With one foot after the other,)

(she starts to walk forward.)

(She stretches after waking up)

(and flies.)

(It's like she's making her body remember.)

(Her moves)

(captivated the audience.)

(She seems to be enjoying herself while relaxed,)

(but then she flies with energy.)

(The swift balance)

(that Yeonjae has while she dances.)

(She ends her piece)

(with bold and confident fouette turns.)

- Gosh. / - Good job.

(They're all amazed.)

(Embarrassed)

She's good and adorable.

Exactly.

That was amazing.

I was so nervous while performing the solo.

It felt like I was a rhythmic gymnast again,

but I like how I didn't have

to be stressed out about my performance.

(I liked how it wasn't stressful.)

N. Korea restores hotline with S. Korea on Wednesday - Duration: 2:10.

On February 2016, North Korea cut off the communication hotline with the South.

It was to protest Seoul's decision to shutdown the Kaesong joint factory park.

Keeping with the tone set by its leader's new year's speech, the regime restored the

inter-Korean channel today.

Ji Myung-kil has our top story.

The chairman of North Korea's committee on inter-Korean Affairs announced Wednesday through

state media... that Kim Jong-un had approved the restoration of the military hotline.

(Korean) "North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has ordered

the restoration of the South-North hotline starting 3 p.m. today.

Through this channel we will discuss matters related to sending a delegation to the PyeongChang

Winter Olympics and the proposed talks."

The committee's chair emphasized that on the orders of their leader Kim Jong-un...

North Korean officials will cooperate with their South Korean counterparts, and he once

again expressed hope for the success of the upcoming 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

The chairman went on to say that the North's leader, Kim Jong-un, welcomed the decision

by the South Korean presidential office to offer talks, calling it a positive move.

(Korean) "Our leader highly appreciates and welcomes

President Moon Jae-in's support of his peace offer and has ordered thorough preparations

for working-level talks."

However, it is unknown whether the two sides will talk only about sending North Korean

athletes to the PyeongChang Olympics... or whether they'll cover other issues such as

inter-Korean family reunion and resuming civilian exchanges.

South Korea's presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae welcomed the North's reopening of the

inter-Korean communication channel saying it's a move toward making communication possible

at all times.

(Stand-up) "South Korea's unification ministry has also

welcomed the North's restoration of the hotline, saying it will consult with North Korea on

issues related to working-level talks.

Ji Myung-kil, Arirang News."

Talking About... Ever Banega, Sevilla FC player - Duration: 3:59.

"Hi, I'm, Ever Banega, and this is what my teammates think of me"

"He's an excellent human being."

"I really appreciate him as a person. He's a joker -really funny- and is always in a good mood.

He's always got a happy face."

"You can tell that he's a very relaxed person and very laid back. That's something you can also see on the pitch."

"I'm a real family man and I'm very sociable. When I love someone I'm always trying to help them.

That's the most intimate side of Ever Banega"

"He's a leader and the most handsome player in the group."

"He has the temperament of always wanting to play and always wanting to win."

"He's a wizarrd with the ball at his feet. There are times in which you have to be prepared for anything,

because he can get a ball to you through four players.

There are openings that only he sees."

"His control and the way he moves the ball from one foot to the other is amazing. What I always tell him off

for is when we're on the edge of our penalty area and he plays as if we were inside the opposition's box.

I say to him 'are you crazy? How can you get out of that situation like that?' And he laughs."

"When I lose because of it, then I'll probably take fewer risks, but for the moment it's what I like to do."

"He's a very skillful player, but the important thing is that he continue to have freedom with the ball.

We can't have him boxed in."

"He has the natural talent of an excellent footballer, and you enjoy having him as a teammate."

"This year we have lots of Argentinians in the squad, and in the 'rondos' we always try to rile Correa.

He gets annoyed really quickly, so we're always hitting heavy passes so that he has to go in the middle.

We're always teasing him."

"Sometimes we talk about this; When I was in Mexico there was talk of him going to Tigre, where I played.

Now we've both ended up here at Sevilla. We laugh about the situation. Life takes some funny twists and

turns and has brought us together here."

The Interview: Andres Guardado, Real Betis player - Duration: 7:31.

"There are many derbies in the world, and I've been told that this is one of those that stirs the most passion.

There's a great intensity about the game inside the city, and it's like a cup final for the fans.

Beating your biggest rival, your neighbours in Seville, has big repercussions.

Above all, there's going to be a great atmosphere."

"It's been something that people have drilled into my head since the moment I arrived here.

It's something that we've all bee waiting for, and the newer players -who haven't experienced

this before- can't wait to see what a Betis-Sevilla derby is like."

"I'm from the school of thought that derbies aren't influenced by either side's form coming into the game.

I think that this is forgotten about and everybody gives 100% of their ability -because they know that its more

than just three points at stake. There's also bragging rights on the line, pride in many ways.

Afterwards you return to reality, with one side fighting for one objective and the other for something different,

but winning the derby is something separate from that."

"Obviously we're going to ask for a win on the day of 'Reyes',

and I think that it will be the best gift for every Betis fan."

"You get told about it, and you can more or less get an idea of the repercussion that Betis have in

Seville or in Spain, but you don't really realise it until you come here. The impact they have and

the passion that the fans have for this team, in both good and bad times, and how

they experience games, is something that I'd not experienced before. I'm delighted to be here."

"When I signed for Betis, one of the first things that I was excited about was meeting Joaquin.

As everybody knows, he's a real character in every sense. He's a great person, very humble,

always available to the group to help them, a great captain and has that personality that everybody knows him for.

He's the one who creates the atmosphere in the dressing room, the one who always has some way of cheering

you up at a bad time, and you're always grateful to have a teammate like him."

"Quique Setien is a coach with who I can identify a lot, because of the playing style his teams have and his personality.

"I also really like the way he manages the group. We've gradually been getting to know him more,

not only on a personal level but also in terms of his reactions when things go well or go badly.

Now that things aren't so great it's when I give even more credit to a coach who sticks to

the same equanimity and ideas. That's something I've really liked about him."

"I think that what worried me most, and what was talked about the most, was that

it looked as if we were moving away from what we'd started in preseason.

You can lose game,s but you can't lose your identity."

"Obviously when you talk about objectives its a little scary to throw one out there, or you might

keep conservative so as to not put pressure on yourself or get things wrong,

but what's clear now is that we are where we are in the table and we feel

we have a team to fight there. So we'll fight to the end."

10 Years Ago... Matchday 18 LaLiga 2007/2008 - Duration: 3:16.

Ten years ago, Real Madrid extended their good run of form against Zaragoza. The Aragonese side hadn't won

at the Santiago Bernabeu since the 1999-2000 campaign, and their drought at the stadium continued for

another season.

Goals from Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Robinho put Madrid ahead,

but it was Iker Casillas who had the biggest impact on the game, providing some terrific saves.

FC Barcelona travelled to Mallorca hot on the heels of Real Madrid in the table. Frank Rijkaard's men took to the

field at the Ono Estadi with the intention of taking their unbeaten run away from home to four

consecutive games.

Thierry Henry and Bjan Krkic were the standouts in a game that Samuel Eto'o capped with a sensational strike,

out of the reach of goalkeeper German Lux.

Not far behind in the standings coming into the matchday were Espanyol and Villarreal,

who faced one another in an appetising encounter.

Raul Tamudo proved to be decisive, and his two goals took him above his average tally in the opening 18

games of the season.

However, one of the most spectacular games of the matchday was undoubtably El Gran Derbi.

Sevilla and Betis locked horns for the first time since the untimely death of Antonio Puerta in the posthumously

named 'Derby of Peace'.

Both sides played out an entertaining game, in which Luis Fabiano gave Sevilla the win with two goals.

There was also cause for celebration for Atletico Madrid, who beat Deportivo La Coruña at Riazor for the first time

in 14 years.

The defeat for the home side meant that Depor held the worst home record in LaLiga,

with just 5 points taken at their own ground.

At El Sardinero, Racing kept up their rich run of form against Athletic Club, who enjoyed a chance to go ahead

in the opening minute that was hit over by Fernando Llorente. Tchite scored with a header at the end of the

first half, and the score remained the same until the final whistle. Aritz Aduriz was denied by the post in the best

chance of the second half, and Racing were able to keep solidifying their spot in the European places.

"Hi, I'm Zouhair Feddal, I play for Real Betis, and I want to introduce my friend, Aissa Mandi. Here he is."

"Aissa, do you know which town I was born in?"

"Morrocco. Is that enough?

That's half a point, right?"

"Yes, it's Morrocco. But you have to be more specific."

"Zou, with which team did I make my debut in LaLiga? It's an easy one."

"Yes, really easy. I even remember your debut. Here's the answer: Real Betis Balompié"

"Aissa, who is my favourite singer or group?"

"Very good! He knows me a little now!"

"That's an entire point, isn't it?"

"Zou, what superstition do I have before going out onto the pitch?"

"Perfect

"Which sport would I have played if I weren't a footballer?"

"Zou, who is the player you most admire? That's another easy one"

"No!"

"No! That's impossible!"

"No! I have a lot of shirts with his number on, and a lot of his shirts"

"I thought you liked golf" "That's really bad!"

"What name do I have you saved under in my phone?"

"That's not seriously it, right?"

"Zou, which emoticon do I use the most on my phone?"

"You like it, don't you?"

"For my wife"

"He's in love"

"For my wife. Only for my wife."

"Which dish do I cook best?"

"He can't cook anything""No! I do know how to cook"

"Let's see, things like cuban rice or pasta. You can come to my house whenever you like"

"Who would win in a race between us?"

"I'd always win; he runs like a dad. You've put that you run like a dad."

"Yes! I've won"

"No! You always say that Zou"

"No! I've won"

Son YeonJae gets baffling text message from Captain Seo JangHoon [The Swan Club /2018.01.03] - Duration: 8:00.

(What will await us)

(at the ballet studio, today?)

(The swans gather before class.)

(Selfie, The Swan Club)

- Hi. / - Hello.

- Hello. / - Jumi!

- Hi, Jumi. / - I saw that.

You were taking a selfie.

- What's this? / - It's grapefruit juice.

I hear it's good for our skin.

- Thank you. / - Now that I'm on a diet,

- my skin's been drying up like crazy. / - Right.

- You're so right. / - In my case,

my skin's aged five years.

So, have you been cutting calories?

No, I ate stir-fried octopus with rice yesterday.

Still, after the show started airing...

- We need to eat. / - Tell me about it.

Have you all been practicing?

I've been practicing the arm moves,

- and now my trapezius has developed. / - Me too.

Why on earth is that happening?

Also, my back still aches.

- Jumi... / - Thanks for this.

I heard you injured yourself. Are you, all right?

(Is Jumi hurt?)

I have a ruptured fascia.

(In the first class, Jumi showed off her flexibility.)

She's even better than I am.

(She actually was working hard to)

(keep up with the flexible younger swans.)

(She just pushed through the pain.)

(Gosh)

(A full split)

(She even practiced splits in between classes.)

(She eventually felt that something was wrong.)

I wanted to do well and learn all I could.

My greed and unawareness of what I was doing

led to this injury.

I really was nothing but upset.

I thought that we all had to do full split

which is why I pushed through the pain.

- Your passion got the best of you. / - Exactly.

- Ms. Passionate. / - That's you.

You should focus more on your upper body now.

- She's right. / - Be the best with your arms.

What if she injures her arms as well?

(Joking)

Yoonah!

I can't believe you said that.

My bad.

(They're hilarious.)

- We all think the same. / - Exactly.

- Jiwon. / - You're here.

You all dressed warmly today.

Is that all you have on in this cold?

I guess I'm burning with passion.

The temperature has suddenly dropped.

Won't we get injured stretching in this cold?

It's highly likely.

Jumi's already suffering an injury.

- Her muscles... / - I have a ruptured fascia.

- Really? / - Yes.

- The bruises... / - What should she do in this case?

Should she stick a slap of beef where the bruise is?

(Beef works wonders on bruises.)

What?

Why would she do that?

- It's what old people do. / - No.

This is bad. It's a tricky situation.

(So, what will)

(the swans learn today in class?)

(The swans are warming up.)

(They all seem to be rehearsing.)

I'm so nervous.

I get nervous

every time I come to class.

Who do you think will win the first place today?

(They will present their homework today.)

(An icon of Christmas, "The Nutcracker")

(The candy fairies' "Waltz of the Flowers")

(We all recognize the beautiful melody by Tchaikovsky.)

(They had to come up with)

(a 30-second dance "Waltz of the Flowers".)

(They must express their own sense of beauty.)

I want to see your artistic side.

(They were flustered by their first task.)

(While the swans were all in a panic,)

(the homework was passed onto...)

"Hello, it's Manager Seo."

"You have homework for the next class."

"To 'Waltz of the Flowers',"

"come up with your own piece of a waltz."

"I'll see you in the next class then."

What am I supposed to do with this?

Does the class always have homework?

Are we supposed to come up with a choreography?

(Are you doing the homework?)

I'm doomed.

She's giving me homework even before we meet.

This is ballerino Yoon Jeonil.

(Former dancer of Korean National Ballet and others)

Before Marie and the Nutcracker

dance to express their love for each other,

the fairies dance first.

Oh, I see. The fairies.

The basic move in this dance is the balance.

They are of the 3 over 4 rhythm

which can be applied to a waltz.

(Balance, waltz steps)

One foot moves away first.

(The basic waltz step)

One and two.

- To this side? Not downwards. / - That's it.

Don't lift them up

and keep them at a right angle.

Now spread them apart.

(Cheng Xiao and Sungeun also learn the waltz steps.)

Yoonah, I heard you practiced a lot.

I haven't.

I heard your piece was worth first place.

- I heard you've been working hard. / - Hold on.

I've been so busy, and I've pulled a hamstring.

- I'm thinking about changing some moves. / - Why?

I don't want to hurt myself.

I think Jumi will be the best.

- I'm worried. / - You've practiced the most.

Well, I've only practiced it in my head.

It's like the day before an exam.

(Where they inquired into each other's progress)

(the new swan came to rehearse.)

(Her flexibility is unparalleled.)

(Relaxed)

(Even though she's good,)

(she keeps on practicing to shake off the nerves.)

(We can't wait to see her first show-and-tell.)

(How will their waltz turn out?)

- The homework. / - Right.

Two weeks ago, I asked you to show your artistic side

to "Waltz of the Flowers" from "The Nutcracker".

We'll be seeing what they've come up with.

Who do you each see

as your strongest competition?

- Yoonah. / - Yoonah?

I heard that she has practiced a lot.

I really wanted to do well today,

- but my leg... / - Why am I not surprised?

I pulled a ligament.

- But you've practiced a lot. / - That's why

I have an injury now.

My knees are covered in bruises as well.

I'm hurting all over, so...

Please don't pull up your skirt like that.

But I want to show you my bruises.

- I want you to see them. / - You startled me.

Anyway, I wanted to do well,

but I think I'm doomed today.

- Is that so? / - Look at how we're seated.

- The front row... / - They're the A-Team.

- Gosh. / - We're doomed!

You were deliberately seated this way.

I thought so.

It's to motivate you all.

Yeonjae, how have you been since your retirement?

I began rhythmic gymnastics when I was five.

That's why I don't know myself outside the sport.

I want to be a normal 20-something,

and do what they do while attending university.

(She's now a normal university student.)

You haven't worked out at all this past year.

I haven't done anything similar to rhythmic gymnastics.

- Of course. / - That includes Pilates and yoga.

I just didn't want to do it.

I get that.

I'd rather lift weights.

Are you friends with anyone here?

Yes, with Cheng Xiao.

- She once learned rhythmic gymnastics. / - Right.

Oh, I see.

- Isn't Yeanjae older? / - She is.

I don't know about anything else,

but she should know that we have her back now.

- You also have Janghoon to depend on as well. / - Yes.

Just know that.

(They all welcome her to the club.)

I haven't had the chance to meet people

that weren't athletes.

Even though I've only just met them,

I feel like I can rely on them.

I like that I now have these many friends.

So, let's start by seeing what you have prepared.

Cheng Xiao&YeonJae talk about mistakes…"One mistake leads to meltdown"[The Swan Club/2018.01.03] - Duration: 8:06.

- We're on. / - Okay.

(Meanwhile...)

The two youngest got together.

- Isn't this a first for us? / - It is.

(Yeonjae and Cheng Xiao are on a date!)

There are so many pretty things.

Have you ever come shopping here?

- I go out to Myeong-dong a lot. / - Really?

- Isn't it similar to this place? / - It is.

(However)

- Isn't it too cold today? / - It is.

I'm freezing.

The wind is so cold that it makes me cry.

We're freezing out here.

(A store captivates them both.)

- There's a lot here. / - Right.

I see hats.

(Hats?)

Hats? What about them?

- Hello. / - Hi, you can try them on.

Really?

- Would you like to buy a scarf? / - A scarf?

Yes.

Look at this. It's adorable.

This looks nice.

I'll try it on.

Here's a mirror.

- I look good. / - Gosh.

(The hat is thrilled, A good day to be a hat)

It looks nice.

(The hat is having a field day.)

I'll try this on.

I look like a squid.

(Two beautiful squids who came out of cartoons.)

It's a bit small though.

- All right then. / - A scarf?

Choose one.

What about that one?

- This one? / - That's cute.

- Isn't it? / - It is.

It's cute.

Can I try this on?

- The owner's not here. / - I'm sure it'll be okay.

- Sure. / - Right?

(He was okay with the hats.)

Doesn't it look good on her?

Isn't she pretty?

So, that's how it looks on you.

- I'll try this on. / - Go ahead.

Let me see.

Gosh, it's freezing. Like this?

- Well... / - I look like a roasted chestnut vendor.

I guess I should sell roasted sweet potatoes now.

(Their food cart will be a big hit.)

- It's pretty. / - Let's buy one each.

- Why not? / - I'll get it for you.

- Are you going to buy me one? / - Yes!

Nice.

We bought these because we were so cold.

Let's go get something to bite.

Yes, we should eat something.

Exactly.

- Later on... / - We should eat for our class later on.

Right.

What should we eat?

For lunch?

- What'll be delicious? / - We have choices here.

How about this place? It serves organic food.

This place looks like it serves

- salads. / - There's a lot to choose from.

- We... / - Yes, a salad.

- Gosh. / - We only have two weeks left.

I'm sick and tired of this.

I'm sure they have other dishes.

(However)

We should just eat this.

(The place only serves salads.)

Where should we sit?

How about here?

I like how it's warm in here.

- It's freezing. / - It's so warm in here.

Goodness.

(They sit down and warm themselves up.)

- Exactly. / - We're both in skirts as well.

(It's style over function at their age.)

- Let's eat. / - Yes, let's.

We're now filming ourselves eating.

That I'm confident at.

(Yeonjae's confident at eating.)

(Gulping)

(A bite)

(Another bite)

(She eats prettily.)

Not many people can look this delighted eating a salad.

There has to be a dressing though.

- Right? / - Exactly.

We need to get into shape for ballet.

- I've only been eating salads. / - Really?

It's so upsetting when people comment on my weight.

(It's upsetting for her.)

Were you on strict diets too?

My coach would always yell at me.

(It's the same as me.)

What kind of food do you usually enjoy?

I like western cuisine such as steaks.

When I was on the team,

my friends and I would eat behind the coach's back.

- Have you ever done that? / - We're all the same.

- Of course. / - We hid food too.

- Exactly. / - We even ate in the bathroom.

It was hectic.

We're all the same.

When we couldn't meet our goal weight,

we'd think about tampering with the scale.

- I mean... / - Gosh.

- Have you tried it before? / - Well...

Is it okay to talk about the battery trick?

- If you put something in between it... / - Exactly.

It can lower the number.

- It can deduct about one kilogram. / - Right.

We're all the same.

- We get like that when we're desperate. / - Seriously.

You're right.

Still, since I've committed to ballet,

I've been constantly checking what I eat.

It's too tough though.

It's not easy to lose weight.

I've had a lot of trouble too.

Life is tough, isn't it?

Whatever we do is tough.

There's nothing easy in this world.

(Dieting educates them on the way of the world.)

Last time on "Idol Star Athletics Championships",

I fumbled the hula hoop.

- Really? / - Yes.

- It went over the line. / - Over the line?

Here is Cheng Xiao.

(The 2017 "Idol Star Athletics Championships")

(She competed with the hula hoop.)

(However)

(She fumbled the hoop right from the beginning.)

(It's too bad.)

I fumbled it just right after I had started.

- Really? / - Right at the beginning.

I didn't make any mistakes during the rehearsal,

but losing the hoop once made me feel...

- You lose your focus. / - Exactly.

It's happened to me so many times.

The ball once bounced off my knee

- and went flying away. / - Really?

I had to run the entire length

the very fast I could.

Unfortunately, it was towards my coach.

- Oh no. / - I ran over,

picked up the ball and kept going.

With rhythmic gymnastics and ballet,

it's not over until it's over.

If you crumble after making a mistake,

then it's really over for you.

- You must keep a straight face. / - Right.

In ballet, it can ruin the continuance of the show.

Just pretend you didn't make any mistakes.

(You have to be strong and bold.)

Don't frown and don't let it show on your face.

Anyway, you must get homesick.

Sometimes, I do want to go home.

You must miss your mom's cooking.

Actually,

when people ask what I want to eat the most,

my answer's always a home cooked meal.

(What I want the most is a home cooked meal.)

- By your mom? / - Yes, my mom.

You must miss her.

I either stay strong

- or call her. / - Right.

I trained in Russia for about six years.

Do you know what jajangmyeon is?

I really missed that the most.

How often did you come to Korea during that time?

I'd stay for a week or so, but that made it worse.

- Right. / - I'll have to leave soon.

I know how it feels to leave.

- The way to the airport is excruciating. / - I know.

It feels so weird.

(There's a lot they have in common.)

I find that we're taking this show and ballet

very seriously.

It really isn't easy to be this serious.

(You're right.)

To be at this level after a few classes

is quite fascinating.

People ask me why this show films nearly every day.

We're just really doing our best.

Do you think the others are practicing right now?

Right now?

We should hurry over to them.

Let's head over and work hard today.

- Thank you for today. / - It's my pleasure.

- Thanks for lunch. / - We should hang out often.

I'll buy you Chinese food next time.

I'd like that.

(Yeonjae and Cheng Xiao's adorable and pretty date)

JuMi's shows amazing performance despite injury [The Swan Club /2018.01.03] - Duration: 3:11.

Next up is Jumi.

(Jumi's next.)

- Good luck. / - You can do it!

(What's behind her laugh?)

It's a feigned laugh.

I saw them present their homework before.

"Dance of the Cygnets" from "Swan Lake".

Even though they practiced those steps a lot,

they couldn't execute it properly

which upset them deeply.

Also, I learned

that we had to do whatever task is thrown at us.

I went online to research how they

dance to the waltz in ballet.

It did help a lot.

One, two, three. One, two, three.

(She learns it by mouth first.)

Okay.

Then a turnout.

Arms spread up high.

(Like this)

The trumpets sound

like they're breaking dawn.

I love it.

(Which part will Jumi dance to?)

(She chooses the beginning)

(which opens with the harp leading the song in.)

In the morning, around dawn,

I pictured a lily of the valley.

The harp at the beginning of the song

made me picture water dropping from them

as morning awakens.

I hope you enjoy it even if its lacking.

Let's see what she has prepared.

(It's Jumi's first solo presentation.)

(Even those watching are nervous.)

(She will depict the break of dawn)

(to the intro of "Waltz of the Flowers".)

(She focuses on her facial expressions)

(and the lines of her arms.)

(Immersed)

(Although she's a beginner,)

(she dances to the few moves that she has learned.)

(From the arabesque,)

(she transitions into the waltz steps.)

(The moves aren't perfect,)

(but she dances with confidence.)

(She ends without breaking her focus.)

(My goodness!)

Your lines are beautiful.

- Yes, her lines. / - This is so embarrassing.

It was beautiful.

(What does Director Kim think?)

What did you think?

I liked the emotions behind your story

and how you expressed it through your dancing.

By looking at your arabesque,

I could tell that you have improved

in this short amount of time.

I really enjoyed it. Good job.

You did great.

(Director Kim enjoyed Jumi's performance.)
