Now looking at what's happening on shox' side

There have been a few rumors and messages recently

We know that shox has contacted Ex6TenZ to talk about a new project

He also convinced SmithZz to play with him again

What do you think about this project? Of course right now we're only talking about 3 players out of 5

That's not a full line-up, but well

We're still not sure of who the last 2 could be, but with these 3 players at least do you think things could work out?

I'm a bit doubtful regarding this

shox had his own experience as in-game leader

He started the same way I'm doing now, by asking for a chance to lead, so he can do whatever he wants in this aspect

I mean, he tried many things and some of them worked well, he gained a lot of experience out of it

Of course not everything was bad, he was very strong for some time and even with the former G2

But he didn't have...

I won't say talent, but he didn't have some characteristics of a leader

Like not having these bad periods with less motivation

And that's one of the two "problems" I have with shox

For some time, he'll be at the top: very strong player, very good teammate, etc

Then when things aren't going well for him it become complicated to communicate

The second thing is... well I guess you all saw Ex6's stream where he gave his perfect line-up

shox, Ex6 of course, SmithZz...

Kenny of course, I'm so dumb

So Kenny and me

So my second problem

Is something that we think differently of, we don't share the same opinion

I could say that the reason he didn't want to play with me anymore

It's because as a person, with my own thoughts and my own values

He didn't see himself play with me anymore

It's not in relation to the game itself, we respect each other a lot as players

In game, we both see, understand and play the game about the same way

So in game there was no problem, only with our personal relatioship from one person to another

Somehow it's a waste

But then again he can do whatever he wants, if he'd rather have a line-up with players he personally likes then ok

That's just not how I see it, my goal is to win

Around ten years ago you had NBA teams in which some players wouldn't make a pass to each other, and would still manage to be the best team in the world

Of course we haven't come to this but it's a matter of personal values and point of view

We're coming to something more philosophical

So the reason he didn't want to play with me was this

It's a bit of a problem for me

Because I yearn for greater things

Of course, if you win with a team made of close friends you couldn't ask for more

But you have to win first, you have to achieve something then think about other matters

So yeah, that's what I'm doubtful about, but they only have a base of 3 players for now

We can only speculate on who the last 2 will be, we'll know as time goes by

But I'm curious to see what Ex6 can still achieve after his experience within LDLC

If he adapted to the current CS in general

The last time I played with him was petty long ago so I can't say what he brings into the game right now

I know he's got a lot of experience, I think he's the best leader France has ever had

Well, he's Belgian... best French-speaking leader then

When it comes to having values and being a leader

He's really the best

And I can't wait to see what he wants to show in the game

About shox, if he's motivated

He will be an excellent player, there's no question about that

About SmithZz, he's a big question mark

What was his motive to come back?

Does he really want to play again or did other things make him do it?

For example, I don't think I would have continued with him as coach

So was it one of the reason? I don't know

It's just speculation so it's a question mark

Maybe I'm 100% wrong

Maybe I ask questions that confuse people

It's a question mark and I have no idea

It can't be bad for him to come back as a pure rifle

because he was correct as a rifle when he stopped

He was better than with the awp

But 3 players, it's hard to tell what they will do

I don't wish them anything bad

I wish them to succed and I just want to be better

That's normal

A few questions about your lead

What are your intentions

How do you characterize your lead? What you want to build?

In one word, hybrid

In the sense that

I aspire to be, I will not say close from perfection

but I want to go towards it

I want to be able to say that we have a almost perfect playstyle and we can beat anyone

I want to have all the solutions

broadly speaking

I have different map control types in the team

There are some universal stuff

For example, if I call a 4-1 control map

We will know exactly who's going to do what and why

If I say on Inferno, we do a 4-1 in B or in A

Everyone will know what he has to do

without having to work on it before

If we arrive on Train an do a 4-1 there or there

People will know what is happening

I have 3 or 4 different types of map control like those

Add to this a few solid tactics

When I talk about tactics, I'm not really talking about innovant tactics but strong tactics

More in the sense that we do a tactic in A on Mirage

It's not really a tactic

It's more the basic stuff

Then you add more specific tactics

and then you have the basic anti-strat

For example you have a tactic for the A site Mirage against teams that play aggressively

It doesnt really go further than that, it's quite simple

So that's it for the terrorist side. On the CT side, you have 2/3 classic tactics

When I talk about classic, what I say to my players is that

You have this position, others will be there

Based on that, you're free to to do what you want

And I trust them to not rush mid

if we are defending the extremities on Mirage

I trust them and it's basically it

There's that

Also I think that I'm better caller on the CT side

than on the terrorist side, I have great ideas when it comes to defense

outplayed, etc...

Then it's all about having a game plan and adaptation

It's something very rare in France or at least something that we didn't do when we played with shox and happy

We didn't adapt our game style to the team we were facing

For example, we played against cloud9

Sorry I talk again about them

I watched their demo

Usually I only watch one demo per team because it's enough for me to know how they play on a map

I saw Cloud9 and they don't play well on Mirage

In the sense that they have tactics in A, one strat in B

One take on mid that they could differently

and they do 0 fake

In only one demo, I saw that

So I said to my teammates

On the CT side, we led 7-0, we finish the side 10-5, it's clean

And that's exactly what happened

They adapt during the overtime

and they really played well during the overtime

Teams are too much different

in order to have an universal play style

so you need to adapt your map controls

and that's why I have different control maps, defense styles, different specific things

And that's why my play stye is hybrid

I want to adapt my lead, how I put spotlights on my players according to the teams we are facing but also have systems

It's almost done

You're talking about innovative tactics and adaptation

but also about adapting your tactics according to who you are facing

Don't you think that it's something that takes a long time to be put in place?

Isn't that a risk since you have a test period?

How long will it take?

How much time

It's a wide range

It's hard to say

It will depend on the players

on how they take advantage of this system

I think that we have good foundations

We start with something solid

I know what I want to do, it's clear and the players see that

so we only need to hit headshots now

The issue is that... Dan is really good at the moment

but we don't have another player who is that good at the moment

and it would be easier if we had a second player like that

I think that we have a good level right now

Obviously we're not here winning every lan

but our level is correct

Our foundations are good, solid

Everyday, I add things because we need that or that

And since our play style is pretty classic

It's universal

It's not something which depends 100% on me but it's going to depend on everyone

And that's the play style that I want because if you depend on only one person

It can be dangerous if for example I wake one day with my arm broken

There will be nothing left in the team

With the system I'm looking to establish in the future

There will always be something to make things work

There will always be solutions

movements in the game

Theoretically it takes time

It's a little bit like krL's system (successful ingame leader in CSS)

We'll have 5000 map controls, 5000 different situations

It's the idea with the play style and with my lead

I learned a lot with the Cloud9 match, I could have called things on the spot

which I didn't do and that hurt us because we could have won the game with that

We go on and we learn

Small question about the lead in game

If you had to pick one quality of your past leaders in game, what would it be?

So Ex6

Well, let's start by enumerating them

Ex6, Shox, Happy

Ex6, it's something I picked from the start

It's his work, his philosophy

He works non-stop, he taught me that

He's a captain, he has a great leadership

When he's on a team, he's the natural leader

it's like that

About Vincent (Happy)

The trust his players give him

When things were working well

When things were working well, we trusted him blindly

If he wanted us to do something even if we disagreed

We did it because we trusted him and it was going well

We didn't always understand what and why we were doing things

But we trusted him 100%

and it's something really important

from a leader to player, player to leader perspective

About Richard (shox)

His overall level

When he was leading well and everyone was following him

He wanted everyone to get comfortable

He wanted us to show a nice playstyle as a group

And I think that's really important if you want to be at your best level

Last question for you as a player

We saw you playing with the krieg

It made a lot of noise, it was nice

Why did you want to play with that weapon?

I kinda had to stop to play with the krieg

my phrase doesnt make sense in French

I had to stop because

I took the lead

Before that I could focus on the Krieg and being good with it

Now I have other priorities

Sadly I don't use it much naymore

Here's a little story about cs:source

At some point I wanted to play with the auto sniper

but Niak forbid me to do so

He told me that I couldn't play with that kind of weapon

but when we arrived on CS:GO, Get_Right raped us

with the autosniper

then Niak was happy with me taking the auto sniper

So I have no a priori on any weapon

The Auto shotgun is trending

especially with oskar from mousesports who plays a lot with it

I think it's possible to play with any weapon

When you look at the CZ, it doesn't make sense

I liked It a lot

I play a lot with it and I think that I'm good with it

But we need to get rid of it, it's too much

If you want to make a weapon that kills a guy,

Limit the weapon to 6 bullets

Like that you know that you will make one kill but not four

It's the only problem that I have but

If you like a weapon, play with it

Enjoy it

If you enjoy playing with the weapon, you will be better with it

MP7, MP9, the Bizon is a little bit shitty

but the krieg, the AUG also has possibilities

but not as much

it's a little bit different

Many different things are possible in Counter-Strike

So why not do them especially if someone likes them

and likes to play that way

It's the end of the interview

We'll let you have the final say

It's time to say thank you and hello to everyone

Hello

to all the VaKarM folks

It's a weird word to start

but let's start with that

thank you to people posting nice comments

who support us

and take time to say nice things

Shit, I'm lost

Thanks also to everyone who came to Marseille

because they are not all from Marseille

Thanks for being here

If you came to see us

Well, sorry about that

Sorry for being that bad

whether it's us or

EnVy, no one managed to pass the groupstage

It's a pity

It's sad

But thanks for being there

There are some signing sessions

we have a booth with g2 where we are during the day

to take pictures and sign things

It's always full, so it's nice to see

And that's it

I think it will be enough

Thank and see you next time

We'll be there for the next tournament

if there is one

Thanks a lot

It was Miles for Vakarm

Pan-Slavism OR Neo-Slavism | WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE!? - Duration: 7:48.

*Translate this video to your language and make it accessible for non-English speakers*

Hello guys, what's good?

It's me Slavic Affairs, and today we're gonna be talking about Pan-Slavism and Neo-Slavism.

Pan-Slavism versus Neo-Slavism, what is the difference between the two?

I'm sure many of you are quite familiar with the word Pan-Slavism since it's commonly seen on the internet.

Neo-Slavism however, was an idea not so different from Pan-Slavism

and yet many of you probably aren't really familiar with it.

That's because Pan-Slavism was an older, original idea,

while Neo-Slavism was rather a short-lived movement

– that however doesn't mean it was poorly defined.

It actually had quite a few valid points as of course Pan-Slavism did.

But in order to fully understand the difference we must first understand what the two actually are.

So I'm gonna give you a quick look into the history.

Now, Pan-Slavism was a movement or political ideology that really got going in mid-19th century

much like Pan-Germanisation whose main goal was to unify all the German

and possibly also Germanic-speaking people in a single nation-state.

Pan-Slavism wasn't much different except for the fact it wasn't really as successful as Pan-Germanisation

which resulted in unified modern Germany.

But its goals were literally the same,

it aimed to achieve unification of Slavic people to counterbalance the other rivals.

Specifically both movements grew from the sense of unity and nationalism experienced within ethnic groups

after the French Revolution and the consequent Napoleonic Wars.

Now, Pan-Slavism had its main impact in the Balkans, where non-Slavic empires such as the

Byzantine Empire, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire and Venice—had ruled the South Slavs for centuries.

The first pan-Slavists were the 16th-century Croatian writer Vinko Pribojević and

the 17th-century Aleksandar Komulović, Bartol Kašić, Gundulić and Croatian Catholic missionary Juraj Križanić.

As I've previously mentioned the movement began following the end of the Napoleonic Wars in 1815.

In the aftermath, the leaders of Europe wanted to restore pre-war status quo at the Congress of Vienna.

Now, Austria felt the threat to this status quo were nationalists demanding independence from the empire

– specifically Slavic nationalists who represented the majority of their subjects.

Confirming that threat was The First Pan-Slav congress that was held in Prague, Bohemia in June, 1848,

during the revolutionary movement that same year.

The Pan-Slav congress was disbanded after young inhabitants of Prague had taken the streets

and in the confrontation killed the wife of Field Marshal Alfred I.

The city was then seized and martial law was established throughout Bohemia.

Pan-Slavism among South Slavs was a little bit different and in a way more successful

– for a certain period at least.

One of the differences was that Czech and Slovak delegates were both anti-Austrian

and also anti-Russian,

while South Slavs would often turn to Russia for support.

Austria feared that Pan-Slavists would endanger the empire.

In Austria-Hungary Southern Slavs were distributed among several entities;

there were Slovenes in the Austrian part (Carniola, Styria, Carinthia, Gorizia and Gradisca, Trieste, Istria (also Croats)),

Croats and Serbs in the Hungarian part within the autonomous Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia

and in the Austrian part within the autonomous Kingdom of Dalmatia,

and in Bosnia and Herzegovina, under direct control from Vienna.

Now Southern Slavs had different goals,

Slovenes and Croats were closer to an alternative to Pan-Slavism - Austroslavism,

Serbs however, considering they had ties to the independent nation state of Kingdom of Serbia,

they were among the strongest supporters of independence of South-Slavs from Austria-Hungary

and uniting into a common state under Serbian monarchy.

In 1863, Dimitrije Matić, president of Association of Serbian Philology talked about the creation

of an ethnically "pure" Slavonic people.

He said: with God's help, there should be a whole Slavonic people

with purely Slavonic faces and of purely Slavonic character«.

After World War I, Kingdom of Yugoslavia was finally established under Serbian royalty of the Karađorđević dynasty.

They managed to unite Southern Slavic-speaking nations regardless of religion and cultural background.

The only ones who didn't unite with were the Bulgarians.

There however was an idea to create Greater Yugoslavia by to incorporating Bulgaria,

however the idea was abandoned after the split between Josip Broz Tito and Joseph Stalin in 1948.

This led to some bitter sentiment between the people of Yugoslavia and Bulgaria in the aftermath.

At the end of Second World War, the Partisans leader Josip Broz Tito,

a Croat, became Yugoslav president, and the country become a socialist republic.

Tito advocated Brotherhood and unity which meant equality among the ethnic groups,

including non-Slav minorities.

This led to relatively peaceful co-existence and prosperity

until the breakup of the federation that as most of us know wasn't as peaceful.

Now to cut through all the history lesson, what does Pan-slavism and Neo-slavism actually means?

Pan-slavism is basically idea of uniting all Slavic or Slavic-speaking people under one banner.

Essentially, the goal of Pan-Slavism was or still is, to create a single-nation state.

As Germany, Italy and many other countries did.

For example Germany before 1864 was split on many terriories and today they are all Germans.

Same with Italy for example.

Anthropologically Italians aren't all the same, there's a difference between north and south Italians.

Genetically there is!

And yet they are all Italians.

Anyways, you guys get the idea.

The problem with Pan-Slavism however is that since Russians represent approximately 50% of total Slavic population

this would probably mean all the other Slavs would eventually have to adopt russian cyrillic alphabet

and their language.

And guess what, many people aren't really fond of that.

Neo-Slavism however supports the idea that all Slavic countries should keep their regional identity,

culture, whatever.

Obviously since I'm a Slovenian, from a country with a little bit over 2 million inhabitants I'm closer to this idea

since I want my grandchildren to speak Slovenian.

There however is a little bit of a twist!

Although I'm closer to Neo-Slavism, until we all unite under one banner there will always be conflicts.

It's just the nature of people.

The bigger will always aim to overpower the smaller.

For example if we all join with Russia probably they will overpower us,

if we remove Russia, probably Poland will try to overpower the rest.

It's not evil, it's just how things are.

And this is Neo-Slavism, we keep our regional identity but really one will always be over us.

There will always be a »fight« between countries why this country have more delegates

and accept important decisions and why our votes don't count.

That's how this work.

Pan-Slavism however would after generations and generations of mixing mean a true single-state.

Slavic state.

There's however also a shitty side to it.

With this all the beautiful traditions, languages of smaller countries would eventually be gone.

And that's unfortunate because I respect every Slavic world, I respect the diversity

and I love seeing the different traditions of Slavic countries.

It's really hard for me to say what idea I'm closer to,

but at least now I hope you guys understand the difference between the two.

This video came to an end. What do you guys think?

What idea do you think is better?

Chasing Greatness with Andre Ward: Daniel Jacobs (The Fight Game) - Duration: 12:02.

ANDRE WARD: A fighter's day off is meant for rest and recovery,

but in Daniel Jacob's camp, that doesn't mean

that training partner and nutritionist, Chris Algieri,

isn't hard at work,

making sure that no stone is left unturned.

And that this top middleweight contender

is in peak physical condition as he prepares

for his April 28th bout against Maciej Sulecki.

CHRIS ALGIERI: It's an off day, so, we're focused on

kind of slow-digesting carbs.

You've got that Ezekiel toast there.

Uh, a little bit of fruit,

we've got some good protein from the eggs,

but we got some good, healthy fats for recovery.

Today's a recovery day.

Some people may hear like, like, fats on the plate,

"Oh, you can't have fat."

Explain the difference between good fats and bad fats.

So, there's different kinds of fats.

The avocado is a great source of mono-unsaturated fatty acids

which is really good for inflammation

and really good for keeping the body healthy.

A lot of times I deal with athletes

and they tell me that they're dragging

or they're not recovering or they're really sore.

And a lot of times it can be

they're missing some good fats that help their blood

keep moving. So, their body and the circulation

can work optimally for recovery.

Today being an off day, he doesn't need

what he would need on a heavy day.

-Right. -What about the heavy days?

Sparring days, two-a-days, how does the diet shift?

Really, we're feeding for-- for the moment.

So, on sparring days we are gonna eat bigger meals.

Um, larger breakfasts.

-Lot more carbs. -Lot more carbs.

-Yeah. -That's really the difference

-on-- on sparring days. -Mm-hm.

And then as we get closer to fight night,

we gotta think more about the weight.

So, we have an idea of where we wanna be

during the major part of his sparring,

'cause that's where he's gonna be when he steps in the ring.

We want him to be familiar with that body.

And then we kinda trim down a little bit as we go

and then we just pull some water at the end

and step on the scale

-and so-- -You're not a guy

who goes in the sun and loses seven pounds,

-eight pounds, nine pounds. -DANIEL JACOBS: I used to be that guy,

but being with Chris and educating myself

and really, really being a student of this game,

I learned easier ways to cut weight.

For the last four fights, I haven't had a problem

with making weight. My last fight, I ate breakfast.

-And we know as fighters-- -That's unheard of.

-ALGIERI: Yeah. -That is unheard of.

ALGIERI: He woke up,

-ate breakfast, stepped on the scale. -Are you saying

-you ate breakfast before you got on the scale. -Yeah.

-And I bragged about that too at the weigh in. -Yeah.

I was like, "I ate breakfast the day of the fight." (LAUGHS)

You can eat breakfast

-the day of the weigh-in, that-- -JACOBS: Yeah.

-That's so huge. You gotta brag about that, -ALGIERI: It's true.

'cause you know, most guys, they're in their hotel room

-looking at the clock, is it time yet? -Yeah.

They're not eating anything.

How? How are you making the weight?

Just, I think, keeping a healthy lifestyle

in and out the ring. Especially since I'm a survivor.

You know, I had cancer before. For that reason, too,

I have to make sure that I keep a healthy lifestyle.

I can't remember the last time I had a fast-food.

So, I always make sure that I eat some type

of healthy food for my family, uh, my mom, my son,

like my whole-- everyone. Everybody's health conscious

and it's just, you know, it's a whole community

of people being concerned about life.

WARD: I realized,

that although Daniel's bone cancer

has long been in remission, the memory of that struggle

is never far away.

It was really hard to even see myself

living a normal life, let alone, get back to boxing.

Getting back to boxing was the furthest thing in my mind.

I just wanted to make sure that I can be

in the most perfect health

-or walk again. -WARD: Yeah.

Just so that I can play

-with my son. -Absolutely.

I mean, all this stuff goes out the window

as far as importance. Boxing meant nothing, I mean...

All these things started to really slowly

bring your focus on to what's important.

Yeah, it brings it in perspective.

I don't know what that feels like,

physically, obviously, but then also

to get that kind of diagnosis.

-You've got a beautiful baby boy named Nate. -Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Now, how did you break this news to your baby boy?

He was two years old

-at the time, so... -WARD: So, he, yeah.

He didn't really know, I think seeing dad

in the wheelchair was cool because he gets to roll with me

-throughout the hospital. -Yeah.

So, he brung a joy, and a innocence

to the equation that was very needed.

Because he was the only person that didn't know

what was going on.

And he was the only person that just was happy.

And just to be there, to be with daddy,

to have the regular dad-son relationship

and that's what I needed

because everybody else, in some way, shape or form,

understood that it was a possibility

-that it might not be better. -WARD: Yeah. Yeah.

Well, take me back to training camp.

How was the first training camp back?

So, I remember the first time I actually sparred,

and I sparred a smaller guy, like a light-weight guy,

and he hit me with an overhand right.

And it felt like a hit from a heavyweight fighter.

I mean, shook my legs up.

Because I wasn't used to

-taking punches like that. -It had been a minute.

-It was so long. -Absolutely.

And he hit that-- that-- that spine, ah man.

-You felt it. -And I thought to myself,

I said, "Do I really want to get back to this?"

But something just in me just said,

"Just give it all, man. This is what you love to do.

You want to be a champion, what you got to lose?"

So, stuck with it.

How important was it for you to win that title

after the cancer?

Well, it wasn't necessarily the title

that was my-- my uh, main objective.

It was becoming the first cancer survivor

to be a world champion.

-That's a-- That's a lot deeper -Yeah.

than just winning the title.

I knew that meant so much more

because of what my life represents.

And I'm just like,

-this title's something special. -Right.

Who can say that they're,

not only a cancer-surviving champion,

-but the very first to do this. -The first, yeah.

So, it was very, very special to me.

So, you know, when people talk about boxing

and championship belts, you know,

I hold on to a special title that no one can relate to.

-Absolutely. -Yeah.

I watched it man.

You know, your rise once you got back

to your health and I appreciate

-the fight that you fought. -Thank you.

And you're still fighting.

-A lot of drama right now. -JACOBS: Mm-hmm.

-In your weight class. -(CHUCKLES)

There's varying opinions about...

if Canelo did something unjust, if he cheated, if he didn't...

Was it the meat, wasn't it?

Um... Even though he can be

one of my opponents in the future,

he still represents, and is one of the biggest figures

-in all sports. -Mm.

So, he represents us all. Uh, and it doesn't make

us look good. It doesn't make the sport look good.

You know, for me, I couldn't live with myself...

if I was to have to, you know,

-do PEDs, or, you know... -Yeah.

-harm another man, and... -Yeah.

...and, you know, put his life in jeopardy.

How do you live with yourself, you know?

Mm. It's a real thing.

This has to change. It's not good for our sport.

WARD: Mm.

-JACOBS: Yeah. -You got your respect.

-I could see your confidence... -Mm-hmm.

-...swelling with each round. -Mm-hmm.

It's almost as if you said, "Look. I belong."

JACOBS: It's just...

all of this hype of.. his power, his skill...

You know, I was expecting, really,

a extraterrestrial being inside that ring.

-And I got a mere human. -Mm.

And it was just that simple.

-Of course. -But at the end of the day,

what I showed in that ring that night, can't be argued.

-WARD: Yeah. Yeah. -I belong.

You're not just a fighter. You're a businessman.

Yeah.

And you've made some power moves.

-(JACOBS LAUGHS) -As of late. Some moves that...

-Yeah. -Because we don't

have that, we're... the stereotype...

"Fighters come from the ghetto,

dumb fighters drop out of school,

all you know how to do is throw punches."

-Yeah. -Nah. (KNOCKS ON TABLE)

We're changing that.

There's a narrative out there

about African-American fighters, specifically.

-That... we have to be villains. -Mm-hmm.

We have to be the bad guys, we have to be...

in the press for all the wrong reasons.

And then we're worthy of you buying a ticket

-Mm-hmm. -to come see us fight or-- Or,

-We're worthy at that point, of, -Yeah.

you punching in and buying a Pay-Per-View.

How do you stay Danny Jacobs,

the humble person you are but also, a fierce competitor,

and not give into that or buy into that?

There's a lot of narratives out there

that the fighter has to be, uh,

the bad guy, has to act arrogant and be the villain.

And we see that in, in the history of boxing

-Yeah. -with certain individuals.

-Uh, but, overall, uh... -Yeah.

the glory of boxing and what the black man

-has brung to the table... -Mm-hmm.

Because that's what we're speaking of, um...

You look at the Sugar Rays of the world,

the Muhammad Alis of the world,

the Jack Johnsons of the world,

all these people who stood for something

-outside the ring... -Mm.

Something greater, something more positive.

Uh, yes, guys have tactics of selling fights, but,

you know, I stay true to myself

and there's guys who stay true to

being the gentlemen of the sport, because...

that's the way the sport needs to be handled.

It's not a pro-black thing with me,

and I don't sense that that's the case with you, either.

I think it's, you know,

I respect the one that comes from, you know,

-Mexico, or whoever. -Mm-hmm.

Or Europe, and they have a country behind him,

and that country rallies behind them.

You know, we respect that just like other individuals

-should respect, you know, us as well. -Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

And, it's unfortunate, man,

when that's not the case, but, you know,

I commend you...

-for just standing your ground. -Mm-hmm.

You know, I see fighters trying to bait you all the time

-and you're a fighter. -Mm-hmm.

So, you're going to stand firm.

-I know that. -Mm-hmm.

But, you don't give in to the point

to where you get out of character.

You know, I appreciate the fact that

you keep your son Nate in your mind

-before you open your mouth. -Mm-hmm.

You got your grandmother on your mind.

I have a certain responsibility in how I live my life.

Uh, not only because of me having a second chance,

but I do know that there are people, kids,

that are inspired by me, or that look up to me.

So, I have a responsibility.

-Also, I have a child. -Mm.

Uh, my grandmother always told me,

"When you walk outside that door,

you're not just representing yourself,

-you're representing -Mm.

you and your family."

That's that old wisdom, right there.

-So... You know what I mean? -Yeah.

All these-- all this material things,

like, this is just material stuff.

You have to put it into this perspective,

-I'm happy I have life! -Yeah. Yeah.

So, when people feel entitled, that is the worst thing

that you can possibly feel ever, like, entitled.

You know, you're not even entitled to your own life.

Like, for me, me, after all that I've been through,

-Yeah. -To-- to, you know...

-act greater than... -Yeah. Yeah.

-...in any situation... -Yeah. Yeah.

It's unjust, man.

Daniel Smith Color Showdown Ep. 5: Cascade Green vs Perylene Green | Watercolors Comparison - Duration: 15:33.

Welcome back to episode 6 of the daniel smith color showdown and in this episode

We are going to be comparing the cascade green by daniel Smith and the perylene green

By daniel Smith now the Parian green is following on from

Episode 5 where we compared the two perylene red colors

I'm pretty sure that these two colors are apples and oranges to many people

Because they do very different things

And I'm sure a lot of people enjoy having both of them on their palette for me personally again

Because I have a pretty full palette already

I feel like I can afford a space for one more green

But I'm not quite sure if I would like the Cascade green or the perylene green on my palette

So let's take a closer look at these two colors individually, and then we'll come back and compare the two next to each other

First up is cascade green by daniel Smith

It is a series one color so a lot cheaper than the perylene green that's coming up

It is made up of PBr 7. Which is a natural iron oxide and

PB 15 which is copper phthalocyanine

Which is your basic Phthalo blue. Jackson says cascade green is a cool dark mossy green

named after the Cascade Mountains

This product has a superb light fastness and a beautiful clarity when used as a wash

It is classified as excellent light fastness

semi-transparent

granulating and medium staining

Next up is pairing in green by Dana, Smith, and it is a series 2 color

So it's a fraction more expensive than the Cascade green

It is made from pbk 31 which is a perylene black.

Jackson says a painting dream is an almost black Mustang that turns on the

application of water to a Bluegreen wash

medium staining and

semi-transparent perylene green are wonderful glazes for under or over other colors

This paint is fantastic for delineating shadows or creating moody landscapes

ominous horizons and stormy seas so it has a wide range of uses in terms of

landscapes

it is classified as excellent light fastness not granulating and medium staining and

semi-transparent

We are back the paints have dried, and they're both very

Beautiful, but very very different indeed so this side is the Cascade green and this side is

perylene green can I just say like a new cascade Green was interesting

But I am blown away by how beautiful the perylene green is I?

Think it is a really moody color bit like indigo for to me, and I'm pretty sure that this is going in my palette already

So anyway, let's take a closer look at both of these colors

This side is cascade green and this side is perylene green now the Cascade green

as a wash

create

amazing

Texture and color it is a granulating color

I just brought the camera closer to you so that you can get a better look of the texture that

Happens in the Cascade green within the mass tone. It's quite. Heavily granulated and almost as

Granulating as I would say the green apatite genuine

Maybe a little bit less, but it's close however as you add more water to your wash

the blue separates away from the rest and

It's quite random unpredictable in

Where the blue is gonna come out and where the rest of the paint's are gonna come out however what I did?

Here was to paint the master

Dip my brush in the water

To get rid of some of the pigment out of my brush and then come back in with a lighter wash

as you can see the border where the the thicker the master mix and

the more watery

washed down wash needs

You get the blue coming out the most

Another interesting thing is the texture that the Bockingford Hot Press

paper creates with this paint is

amazing if you can see

This all sorts of crackly kind of look and

Even though it's a hot press you get all this color separation and what looks like

granulation with the greener color happening you don't see as much of that in the Bockingford rough or the

Arches or the bockingford cold pressed paper

But this texture is absolutely beautiful going back to comparing the two colors together

as I said before I think these two are the most apples and oranges pair of comparison that I have done for this series and

I can totally see people having both with a sum of their palette and

I am hard pushed to trying to pick one or the other because they are both very very beautiful and very

unique in their own

characteristics the perylene green

Washes out in a beautiful

Smooth wash but there's no sling surprising in the texture. It's one of those colors. Do you know what you're gonna get with it?

It's gonna be nice and controllable and nothing

random or

unpredictable or happening unlike the Cascade green in terms of the opacity I

Think the Cascade green over here

is a little bit opaque so I would say it's

semi-transparent

To semi opaque I can definitely see some

Pigment over the black line whereas the parrot in green is quite clean

It's still quite black

So I would say perylene green is a little bit more transparent than to cascade green in terms of lifting

round here I made a little bit of a mistake and

This bit was still a little bit damp

Whereas this bit was dry so you can see that when it the perylene green is still a little bit deaf and not dried completely?

You can lift them quite well, however once. They're dry

They are quite hard to left now as for the Cascade green. This was quite hard to lift as well

There's a lot of staining happening, and it's mainly the blue that stays in the paper

Which is not surprising because the blue will be the phthalo blue

The iron oxide on the other hand was much easier to lift

And that's how we've ended up with a blue look

To this stripe in terms of glazing when you glaze the Cascade green

You'd get more of the granulation showing however it's not a very pretty

Kind of glazing to me cascade Green works best in this more wash down thing rather than

the matte stone happening more and more

With the perylene green it

Lays very well

However because they both have staining properties within themselves when you come to glaze

You don't have a problem of the first layer lifting so they both glaze quite

Well it just I'm not sure if you'd one to glaze

the Cascade green now

I moved the cards around again, but this is cascade green

And this is a perylene green in terms of the courting cascade green does this fantastic thing of

having the

Really light blue in the background and this all wavy sappy green colour as the line

Happening and it's very beautiful, and it's very unique to cascade green now with the perylene green

You don't get the lies that you get in the Cascade green. However. It's still a

beautiful texture

Particularly we're put a lot more paint down it has

It's very unique and more subtle but never no less beautiful

Texture in Episode five where we compared the perineum maroon to the perylene violet

We learned that the parenting colors do amazing things with salt though

so I thought we give it a go again here with the permanent green and why not with the Cascade green and

Here you can see that the perylene green does its thing that we kind of saw with the perylene maroon and violet

cascade green produces very unique texture, I would say

the song seemed to

Pull in the green now, so that would be the natural iron oxide. That's been tinted green with the

Sailor blue

So you get this effect where you can see the outline of the salt crystals that were there

defined in this olivey SAP green color and

It leaves behind

the phthalo blue

To produce these unique outlines

Basically, it works. The same way as the Gauze in that whatever you put on

the color

Soaks up the iron oxide and the green Ness and leaves the phthalo blue

Behind it's a really beautiful texture

Because cascade green does this thing where the blue comes out when you mix two different?

concentrations of the paint

I thought it'll be fun to just drop some water and see what happens

I'm not hugely impressed with it

It's not a very pretty pattern or effect, and I also tried it with the parenting green. Yeah, it's okay

It's it's it's not

mean of them

Or something I feel like I need to bring into my art

But you can do this if you want to in terms of how the two color mixes with other colors around the color wheel

This side is cascade green and this side is the perylene green

Since green is neutralized by the orange and reds

neither of them produce a very pretty mix however

both of them are very

Interesting and beautiful in the way it mixes with the rest of the colors and in particular

The

Taylor turquoise mixed with the Cascade green is very beautiful where you get the

fellow turquoise II color but with the

This kind of saty

olivey green

granulation happening

within the color I

Also really like how

the parenting green

kind of makes these

Eight colors into more inky colors. I think they are very beautiful

Particularly the quinacridone rose the quinacridone violet phthalo blue yellow shade and thano turquoise

mixes very

Beautifully with the parenting green now would I consider pairing green to be a mixing color?

Not as much as antiserum because under sea green somehow managed to produce very beautiful colors with all the colors

however

It is pretty good at mixing

With other colors with the exception of the red orange and the Scarlet Lake I even like this really bright

green

springy green not even springing green

It is almost neon kind of green that

parroting green and Iranian

Produces so in terms of mixing I would say the pairing lean green is the better mixer of the two

however

You do get some very nice soft shades out of mixing cascade green with the other colors as well

in conclusion they are both very beautiful and very

Unique colors, this is Apple. This is oranges we in they're not really

Replacing each other they both have very strong characteristics especially the Cascade green for me personally, I think

If I were to pick one over the other I would pick the turning green because I can see a lot of

Moodiness coming from this color, and I also like how it mixes with the other colors

And how its salts I also even though it's more subtle

Than the Cascade green really enjoy this texture

However, I would keep my Cascade green on hand since I have them

for when I need very specific effect of either this

crazy bright causing or this very subtle

yet very beautiful washes I

Personally would use cascade green more in this range of watered-down

Colors brother then it's masked tone with this test

I've decided to keep the parenting green as a possible color to go on my palate whereas

The Cascade green is gonna. Go on the back burner

But very useful to know that if I need this specific characteristics, then I have this on hand

Which one would you pick would you go for cascade green or?

Torque vs Horsepower | How It Works - Duration: 9:52.

drag racing! nascar! rally! racing! Awesome cars make awesome power. You know how we

compare them-- with stats but what's it really mean?! We're about to find out

we're talking about horsepower and torque the way Tony talks about it

torque is a grunt (ugh)... and horsepower is screaming! Torque and horsepower are both

ways of measuring force. torque measures twisting force and horsepower measures

work and work is force over time so let's start with torque you've probably

heard a foot pound pound is a measure of force if you weight 180 pounds

that's because your mass what you're made of is exerting 180 pounds of force

on the earth foot pound is a pound of force amplified by a foot of leverage

this is Jesse's toolbox and this is a weird bolt in a board... this is a wrench

I use a foot long wrench and apply one pound of force at that bolt I'm applying

one foot pound of torque on the bolt if I use this two foot bolt Buster and

apply one pound of force at this end I'm applying two foot-pounds of torque. If I

apply two pounds of force at one foot its force on the bolt is the same as 1

pound of force from two feet two foot-pounds or pound feet it's the same

unit because it's math! The distance from the point of measurement amplifies the

force through the lever arm. I wonder where it all goes!?!

engine torque measures the amount of this force that an engine can produce

let's get inside there the Pistons drive this crankshaft you can see that where

it attaches turns around this Center axis just like the wrenches turn around

the bolt each explosion in the cylinder pushes the piston down with force that

force is exerted on the crank pin in transferred to the shaft to get it

spinning torque is determined by two factors the amount of force on the crank

pin which comes from the piston in the distance of that force from the center

axis were thrown which varies by crankshaft makes sense if the throw

stays the same and we produce more force from the piston maybe with more

displacement we can increase the torque if the force from the piston stays the

same we can increase the distance of the pin from the crankshaft Center to

increase torque there's millions of combinations and variations that we can

tweak to adjust the force exerted on the crankshaft from the number of cylinders

to the shape of the engine even to the type of fuel we use which we can get

back to in a minute horsepower is a measurement of work and

work is force over time James Watt lived from 1739 to 1819 and he loved doing

math steaming we're changing everything during the industrial revolution in watt

wanted to give people a way to measure all of the work that was getting done

watt was watching work ponies which are not tiny horses ponies are their own

thing you can look it up but he noticed that a pony took about a minute to raise

220 pounds of coal out of a hundred foot well and being a scientist he increased

that number by 50% because a horse is about 50% bigger than a pony whatever

it's a unit as long as it's consistent it can be whatever you want it you

figured that one horse can do thirty three thousand foot-pounds of work every

minute the horse exerting one horsepower can raise three hundred and thirty

pounds of coal 100 feet in the minute or 33 pounds 1,000 feet in a minute or a

thousand pounds of coal 33 feet in a minute that's work that's horse power

the amount of force foot-pounds torque produced over time is horsepower because

torque is how much force an engine produces horsepower is how quickly it

can produce how much force we can dive into this by looking at how we measure

car horsepower on a dynamometer you can either put the car on roll

that'll measure the force produced at the wheels or if you attach a shaft to

an engine you can measure the force driving the shaft in to start your car

you put it in neutral and Floris well the engine would run so fast it explode

a dynamometer flies a load to the floored engine and measured the speed it

moves you can hook an engine to the dyno for it and use the dynamometer to apply

enough of a load to the engine to keep it at say 7000 rpm you record how much

load the engine can handle and then you apply additional load to knock the

engine speed down to 6,500 rpm record the load there then even more to get it

to 6,000 and so on you do the same thing starting at 500 rpm and then work your

way up what the dynamometer is actually measuring is torque and because of math

to convert torque to horsepower you just multiply the torque by the RPM and

divide it by 5252 that's horsepower y 5252 well I'm glad

you asked remember the horse from before with the

coal okay that horse moved 330 pounds 100 feet in the minute so 33 thousand

foot-pounds of work one minute is one horsepower now for my dumb brain let's

use a hundred pounds three hundred and thirty feet in one minute because that's

also one horsepower we need to show three hundred and thirty feet in one

minute as revs so let's think of the wheel the distance traveled in one

revolution would be two pi r or six point two eight three one six three

hundred and thirty feet in revolutions is fifty two point fifty two starting to

look familiar a hundred foot-pounds at fifty two point

fifty two rpm is one horsepower therefore one foot pound at 5252 rpm is

also one horsepower so you take the torque multiply it by the revs and

divide by five thousand two hundred fifty two and you've found horsepower

when you plot horsepower versus the revs per minute for the engine you get a

curve like this one an engine has peak torque where it generates the most force

it has peak horsepower where it produces the most torque most quickly when you're

trying to accelerate quickly you want to try to keep the engine close to its

maximum horsepower point on the curve that's why you downshift accelerating my

downshifting get closer to the peak horsepower on the curve you want to

launch your car from a stop you read the engine to get it right at peak torque

then you release the clutch to dump maximum power to the tires let's take a

minute to talk about why g's 'el makes more torque but not much horsepower

think about what torque is remember the long wrench

well diesel has a much higher compression ratio which means the head

of the piston can travel further in the cylinder that means the distance from

the center of the crankshaft can be greater that means more torque but

because the throw is greater it's got more distance to travel to get through a

revolution so it can't move as quickly and because horsepower is work done

quickly diesel engines can do a lot of work but not as quickly as a gasoline

engine when it's cranking at high revs that's horse power verse tore hit that
