Waching daily Apr 25 2018

- Hi, I'm Jackson Bird,

and today we're talking about how to get a gender therapist,

and what to expect once you get one.

(fun, upbeat music)

So, the most important factor in me finally coming out

and transitioning was seeing a therapist.

But, it was also pretty much the hardest part

of my transition.

I had "go see a therapist" on my to do list for years,

like literally, four-and-a-half years,

I was trying to do it.

Like, just getting the will to take that first step.

I would like, get on phone calls after doing some research,

and then there would be some small problem,

and I would just give up

and not do it again for a couple years.

So I know how tough it can be to get over that first hurdle

and see a therapist, especially when you are at a point

where you're kind of low, and like really need a therapist.

It is stupidly, paradoxically, so much harder.

But, I also know how incredible of a difference it can make

to go see a therapist.

So, before we get into gender therapy specifics,

I just wanna recommend that everyone go see a therapist,

whether you are struggling with something or not.

It's just great to have an impartial person to talk to.

So, in keeping with that, I'm pretty stoked that today's

video is sponsored by betterhelp,

which is a site that makes therapy more accessible.

Betterhelp is an affordable online private service

that connects you with a therapist or counselor

anywhere, anytime, via text, phone call, or video chat,

as often as you need it.

Like I said, I know how tough it can be to find a therapist,

and then to even think about going in person.

And I have known several trans people

who have done online therapy as a first step,

before going to see a gender therapist

because traditional therapy was too cost prohibitive,

too far away, too intimidating of a first step,

or too dysphoric to think about going in person.

So betterhelp is a great way to get professional support

in your home, whenever you need it.

All of the counselors are trained and accredited

with Masters or Doctorate Degrees in their field.

That said, they cannot give you an official diagnosis,

prescribe medication, or for example,

like write a letter that would enable you

to then get hormones.

But, they can help you sort out your thoughts,

get some coping mechanisms,

and provide all of the other invaluable benefits of therapy.

So if you wanna learn more and sign up for a membership

that gives you unlimited counseling,

click my link below in the description box.

And thank you again to betterhelp for sponsoring this video.

So, online therapy like betterhelp is a great option

for beginning your gender therapy journey.

And I'd like to share some other tips

for finding a gender therapist,

and what to expect when you get one.

Disclaimer- I am not a professional,

this is not legal or medical advice.

I am just one single trans person,

this is speaking from my experience,

some casual research, experiences of my friends.

Also, at least the finding a therapist portion of this

is gonna be pretty US centric, because that's where I am,

and because we have a lot of gatekeepers

with our health insurance, it's confusing,

we have too many states for one government.

And if you are under 18,

some of this will be a little bit different,

because laws are stricter for you,

there are different regulations.

But you can check out the resources that I'll put

in the description box for more info on those things.

Alright, done with the disclaimers.

So let's talk about why you need a gender therapist.

Most trans and gender non-conforming people

want a gender therapist so that they can get an official

gender dysphoria diagnosis in a letter

that they can then use to start hormone treatments,

or other gender affirming procedures,

or to change the gender marker on their legal documents.

A letter from an accredited medical professional

is still required to do those things

in most US states, and from most providers.

Like, there might be some states that don't require it,

but some surgeons who do,

so you've always gotta like do your research

and compare and find out those things.

Some states and medical providers do do something called

informed consent, which basically means that you don't need

that letter, they're just gonna talk to you

about what the procedure is, and you sign some forms,

and you're good to go.

I could make a whole other video on informed concent,

maybe I will one day.

But the one thing that I will say

relevant to this video about therapy,

is that even if your path to medical transition

does not require a letter,

I still highly recommend some form of therapy or counseling.

Even if you a thousand percent know who you are,

and how you wanna proceed with transition,

starting medical transition can be very stressful.

No, not can be, it is stressful.

And it can be helpful to have someone to talk to

as you navigate a lot of big, physical changes,

and a lot of very delicate, interpersonal changes

that will be going on in your life.

But also, more likely, you don't a thousand percent know

who you are, most of us don't.

You might have some doubts, concerns, fears

that don't invalidate your identity,

but are very real, and worth exploring.

Talking to a therapist can help you feel more confident

and at ease with your decisions,

and maybe you'll uncover some underlying issues

that you weren't even aware of.

So for whatever reason,

you have decided that you want to find a gender therapist,

but how?

How do that?

There are several paths to take,

and I recommend investigating all of them.

First, in the United States,

I recommend going to your health insurance's online portal,

where they should have a place where you can search for

medical providers in your area by specialty,

including mental health services and LGBT filters.

This way you will know for sure what and how much

your insurance covers.

I am trying so hard to not say insurance the way that I do.

Insurance, or insurance.

Insurance.

[Deep Voice] Insurance.

Because everyone makes fun of me,

but it's just gonna happen in this video, alright?

I'm just gonna say it my weird way.

And we're all gonna be cool with it.

But, it might be a little bit harder to tell

if the therapist actually has experience

with transgender patients,

and if they were good experiences.

There are a few ways to figure that out.

Number one, search their website.

Number two, because most of their websites suck,

go to a website like Zocdoc,

which is basically Yelp for doctors,

and see what other people are saying.

Number three, call and ask a few questions.

I know, it's scary to call people,

there's gonna be a lot of scary steps.

This whole thing is basically one scary step after another.

Ask if they've had a trans patient before,

if you're non-binary,

ask if they've had non-binary patients before.

And then ask if they follow the WPATH standards of care.

Details of the WPATH standards of care can sometimes be

criticized within the transgender community,

but if the therapist knows what it is,

and says that they adhere to it,

they're at least going to be better

than a therapist who has no idea

what the WPATH standards of care are.

Because here's the sad truth,

there are a lot of therapists out there

who say that they work with LGBT patients

but have actually never worked with a transgender patient.

Now if you are in a more rural area,

you might not have an option but to be a therapist's first

transgender patient, but avoid it at all costs.

If they haven't worked with transgender patients before,

they might be relying on very outdated medical research,

and stereotypes that could not only harm your chances

of getting that letter that you want,

but also of having you know,

actually effective therapeutic therapy.

Due to historically discriminatory medical practices,

there is a long history of transgender people having to

exchange information about what to say to medical

professionals in order to get the letter that they need.

Don't admit you're gay,

lean into hyper-masculine or hyper-feminine stereotypes.

Definitely don't say that you're non-binary or agender,

all of those things will put you at risk

of not getting your letter, at least traditionally.

And I'm sorry to say that you might still encounter that

with some therapists today.

But, it is my goal in this video to arm you with enough

knowledge as possible to avoid that situation.

So, if you don't feel like you're getting the information

you want from your health insurance's portal,

or if like mine, your health insurance

actually doesn't have that,

there are a lot of other online directories you can use,

Psychology Today's is surprisingly dependable,

and there is a handful of trans-specific ones

made by and for trans people,

which I will link to in the description box.

And that gets me to the next step, which is,

ask other trans people.

You might not know any other trans people in person,

and that is super common when you're just starting

to figure things out, but I can guarantee you,

that there is some type of Facebook group

or online message board of other trans people

in your local city, region, or state.

And these groups are so useful for exchanging medical,

legal, and professional advice with other trans people

and finding the resources that you need,

specific to your area.

I am in a local New York City one,

and I cannot tell you how many times it has just been

invaluable to me.

So if you find one of those,

the other people in the group will be able to

recommend to you which therapists are awesome,

which ones are affordable,

and which ones don't believe in non-binary genders,

which ones are TERFs in disguise, that kind of thing.

Now if you are in a larger town,

or you have access to be able to get to one,

I recommend hitting up the local LGBTQ center.

Not only will they have people on hand to help you find

a vetted gender therapist in the area,

they might even have free drop-in counseling

that you can utilize while you are in the process

of finding a full-blown, regular gender therapist.

They will probably also have support groups

and group therapy that you can go to,

which is so good, and so helpful,

and will probably lead to you making

lots of new trans friends, which is always great.

Alright, so now you have hopefully got a list of possible

therapists, or one really good recommendation

from the community.

First, double-check if your insurance covers them,

or find out exactly how much it is going to cost you.

A lot of therapists, especially LGBT ones

will provide sliding scales,

which means you will pay less based on your income.

Don't be afraid to ask about that,

some of them offer it

even if they don't advertise that they do,

because they don't want people taking advantage of it,

who don't actually need it.

And again, check online reviews,

maybe give them a call to ask them a few more questions,

just do whatever you need to do

to feel fully informed and prepared before you even

step foot into the office.

And then when you go,

if there are any red flags on that first visit,

anything that makes you feel uncomfortable,

go back to your list, and start finding another one.

I mean, I will say, if you're sole purpose is just to get

that letter so that you can start hormones or whatever,

then maybe you're comfortable putting up with some things

in that short period of time that you're

going to be going to this therapist.

But if you really wanna get good,

professional therapeutic help, then don't settle.

And now, once you have found a therapist that feels

comfortable to you, how whatever comfortable means to you,

here is what to expect at your appointments.

One of the first things that they'll probably do

is ask your goals.

Therapists, like teachers and bosses,

really like to hear your personal goals

about things that you think are obvious.

Like, goals, yeah boss, uh, do the job and get paid?

What more do you want?

If your only goal is to get a gender dysphoria diagnosis

letter so that you can proceed with medical transition,

just tell them that.

But if you have some other goals,

like maybe figuring out if you want to medically transition,

or maybe working on some other things like depression,

or anxiety, then let them know that too.

They'll work with you based on what you want

to get out of therapy.

And depending on your stated goals,

the questions that they ask may vary,

but considering you are there for gender therapy,

they'll probably be something like this.

What's your relationship like with your family?

Your friends?

How do you feel about your body?

How do you feel about the way

other people perceive your body?

What do you feel like when you go out in public?

Have you ever gone out in public presenting as the gender

you identify as?

Where do you see yourself in the future?

What was your childhood like?

They're gonna basically ask for your life story,

and every version of how you relate to your gender

that you could possible imagine,

and how all of that makes you feel.

And each session,

they're gonna keep checking in on those things.

They'll check in on how you're feeling about your gender,

and just how you're feeling that day,

how your day went, how your week's been going.

Some of them might have a more structured timeline

on exactly how many visits you have to go to

before you can get the letter,

and others might just take it session by session,

and kinda let you guide them

on how you're feeling about things.

That will especially happen if you're not really sure

how you want to proceed.

And from there, it's basically in your hands.

Like I said, for people outside of the US, or minors,

or just getting those state-specific regulations,

I got some resources to check out in the description box.

And I just wanna say that if you are watching this,

about to start gender therapy, thinking of it,

taking those first steps, I'm proud of you.

I know how hard it is,

taking these first steps is so hard.

Every step of the way you are likely to feel anxious,

intimidated, like you wanna give up,

you're probably gonna have aftershocks of dysphoria,

even after positive accomplishments in this process,

but at least you'll be moving uphill.

It is an arduous climb, but you're climbing.

And the summit is probably not as far off as it seems.

Cooking with Cannabis || First Class ft. Hawaii Mike - Duration: 6:50.

(knife clinking against glass)

- Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo!

How's everybody doin' today?

Happy holidays, first of all. Happy 4/20, everybody.

(guests applaud lightly)

Welcome, welcome.

My name is "Hawaii" Mike. This is my beautiful wife, Stephanie.

We are Chef for Higher.

Welcome to our supper club.

When I'm putting these things together,

I'm actually sitting on the other side of the table,

'cause I wanna experience this for myself,

and I'm enough of a snob.

And if you know me, you know, I like fly sh*t.

So if I can make myself happy, we all gonna be good.

In the past, you would see edibles as sugar-based products.

It's candies, it's baked goods, and things of that nature.

We wanted to show a more savory approach to consuming,

because you eat every day -- it's a necessity --

and our mission is to normalize the use of cannabis

as an everyday essential,

so we happen to use food as the medium to share that.

I'm the guy without the degree,

I'm the guy that didn't go to culinary school,

I'm the guy that shouldn't be doing this sh*t,

I'm the guy probably any other chef looking at this sh*t's

probably like, "Why the f*ck are they doing this sh*t?"

But, again, we're in a DIY culture:

Do it your way, do it however works,

and, you know, if you build something, and they come,

who can say you're doing something wrong?

Like, there is no wrong if the sh*t is right.

My biggest inspiration for me to start cookin' was my mom.

She was a vegan (laughs). So I hated that sh*t.

So I hit my father up and, mind you, I'm 9 years old,

so I'm cooking chicken in Hawaii --

made some bomb roast chicken --

and then moved back in with my father,

and my first job happened to be me being a prep cook.

Food is as trendy as clothing now.

The sustainable part is when you have something more

than just the food.

People don't come to us just for the food.

I think they're surprised by the food,

more than anything else.

They want the experience.

- Maybe in the beginning it was just about weed,

but now it's like a social club more now.

- So the supper club started as Sunday dinner at the crib

with a few of the homies

and then that turned into a few friends asking,

or actually, really tellin' us,

"Yo, people will pay for this."

Four people turned into 10 people,

10 people turned into 20 people,

and now we seat 40 people a month, once a month.

- How many people are at this one?

- Fifty. - OK.

- And then we kinda travel around as well.

- [Woman] Are you gonna run today,

or do you want me to get it in the morning?

- If I find a spot on the way,

actually I think there's a spot at Essex Market.

Essex Market's best -- I gotta walk past that anyway.

Why they got no f*ckin' basil, yo?

Looking out here.

Good look.

We're off to my friend's restaurant, Rizzo's Pizza spot,

to make some basil pesto,

'cause I forgot our food processor (chuckles) again.

We use all kinds of different chefs,

'cause we always movin' around.

- [Man] Yeah, that's the thing.

- [Mike] So it depends like--

- [Man] Who's the closest.

- You know that's part of our juggle,

when we doing this stuff like private dining

and not having, like, a restaurant.

You always all over the place.

So it's like--

- [Man] So it's like, it's good to know different people.

- [Mike] Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo!

- [Man] What's up, what's up?

- What's good, Frank?

I've known the owner of this spot for

(scoffs) 20-plus years, man.

Staple of nightlife in New York City.

OK, I'm gonna keep looking -- got any salt, Frank?

I don't know where the hell their utensils are in here,

dammit.

Frank, spatch?

(audio cuts out)

We did a pop up here two weeks ago,

did a dope dinner with our peoples, brought them through,

created a pizza

and then we're actually bringin' some pizzas now

for some of our folks.

So in addition to them lettin' us make some pesto in here,

we're gonna take some pizzas back,

so y'all gonna see those too.

That's pretty f*ckin' good.

(food processor whirs)

I like that.

I got an incredible competitive advantage

against most people.

One, I'm not a chef.

And then two, I'm hip-hop, yo.

You're influenced by your environment.

My environment, what I grew up around, was hip-hop.

So when I talk about I'm hip-hop, and I'm influenced by that,

it's not really like I'm a rapper, but everything that I do,

from clothing to my speech, my vernacular,

to where I live, how I move,

what I'm influenced by is the hip-hop culture.

So I just think differently.

We sample, we take from different things,

and we create our own.

I had no restaurant f*ckin' skills,

but everything else I did in the music industry,

in management, in agency work, in marketing,

gave me all the skills to f*ckin' rock this sh*t,

so that to me is another competitive advantage.

I'm not approachin' this as a chef does.

I'm gonna add a little bit of our olive oil and truffle oil

that we've infused to this pesto.

We try to ensure each guest that comes to our experiences

have a great time and a pleasurable experience

by responsible consumption through proper dosing.

That means we look at a bunch of different things

from the proteins and the terpenes

that may be in the foods that we're gonna cook,

the style of food that we're gonna cook,

the oils that we're gonna use.

So again, we like to use this one

just because it's more a purer form of THC,

and you're not gonna get some of the other constituents

that may have a different effect on people.

So it's kinda like managing the process a little bit

for them.

Actually, a lot for them.

Basically like sommeliers, right?

We wanna guide you through the experience

and make sure you have an incredible time.

4:20 doesn't really matter to me.

That's just, that's a number on the clocks

and it happens, like I said, twice.

So I like it because other people like it.

I like the energy that other people get.

Food makes people happy, yo.

What celebration doesn't contain food?

I'm actually about to dip out though,

so y'all are gonna have some fun.

But, y'all enjoy the meal, and I'll see y'all in a few.

Have fun, man. Happy 4/20, y'all.

I like the smiles that we bring to people's faces,

I like the anticipation and everybody comin' in,

they're like little kids in a candy store.

That's the sh*t I love.

I get higher off of that than smokin'.

Cyberpunk 2077 Character Creation - Duration: 12:45.

Greetings Earthlings! Welcome to the MadQueen show! I am your host the Madqueen

On today's menu, we have a new Cyberpunk 2077 discussion video for you, and today we're going to

talk about the character customization

It's been already announced officially by

CD Projekt that the character that we will play in Cyberpunk 2077 will be fully customizable,

and in here we're going to describe the options that the lore gives us to customize the character

We don't know yet how many of these options are going to be available

in the game, although the creator of the original game and co-creator of Cyberpunk 2077 Mike

Pondsmith said in an interview that he would like to give us the possibility to print our

character in a character sheet like in the pen and paper roleplaying game, so I believe

that it's safe to assume that, if not all of them, most of these options are going to be in the game

Let's go for it

CHARACTER CLASS

The original game has 10 character classes: Solo, Rockerboy, Netrunner, Media, Nomad,

Fixer, Cop, Corporate, Techie, and Mechtech, and if you'd like to know what defines each

character class, you can visit the character class playlist here to have more information

These are the basic classes, but as you advance in the years before 2077, you can find new

classes like Divemaster, Subjok, Marine Techie, Covert Specialist, Assassin, Covert Tech,

Panzerboy, Aerojock, and PA Trooper that are the new occupations during the 4th Corporate

War with their own special abilities and skills, there are also a pack of classes from the

third edition of Cyberpunk that is suppoused to be discontinued for this game, but if I

had to bet I would say that we will see at least idols as NPCs

Each class has a special ability that comes with it,

and all of them know how to use a weapon

All of them

This is a universe of survivors, and even though combat classes like Solos or Cops are more skilled

in using weapons, because that's what they do for a living, that doesn't mean that

the rest of the classes cannot use a gun with a certain style

STATISTICS

Each Cyberpunk character has nine statistics

that represent the level of native ability of the character in specific areas

And are:

INTELLIGENCE, that is quite self-explanatory and measures your problem-solving ability,

and is a statistic where you need to invest more points if you're a Netrunner or a Corporate,

because Net Running works with intelligence as well as surviving in a megacorp

REFLEXES is not only your basic dexterity, it is also your physical coordination when

doing activities such as driving, piloting, fighting and athletics so it's a great place

to invest points if you're a solo, a nomad or a cop that intends to make something with

his life apart from eating donuts

COOL is the most cyberpunk stat of them all,

it measures how well the character stands up to stress, fear or physical pain, will

you keep fighting despite your wounds? This stat marks it

BUT, this is also a game of

"style over substance", so it's also the stat that measures how cool and tough you appear to others

So, Fixers and Rockerboys need a high score in here,

but for Solos and Nomads this is a must.

TECHNICAL ABILITY measures how well you relate

to hardware and other technical orientated things, this is used when fixing technology

or attempting to use unfamiliar tech so, as you can guess, this is a must for Techies

LUCK always works the same, so I don't think it needs explanations at all

ATTRACTIVENESS is simply how good looking you are

I don't know how this stat is going to interfere with the ability to shape your own face,

in an ideal world every point in this stat would allow you to modify yourself more in a certain way,

but how are they going to apply this is a mystery

For Medias and Rockerboys this stat is a must, because they have to look good to make a living,

but this is the cyberpunk world, you not only need

to be good, you need to look good while doing it, attitude is everything

Fortunately, we have bodysculpt to adapt our appearance to our needs

for a decent amount of eurobucks

I'm not sure if the stat of MOVEMENT ALLOWANCE is going to be in the game because this

is a stat created for turn-based combat, and it's how much a character can move during

a turn inside the combat, it all looks like this is going to end up being the old-fashioned

stamina, and this is a guess, but I believe is the safest assumption

EMPATHY represents how well you relate to other human beings, a mix of charisma and

sympathetic emotions, this stat is needed to make things such as convincing, lying,

having some leadership with other humans that follow you because you're a leader not because

you have a gun pointing at their head, or romancing

Empathy in this universe is a critical

feature, because is related to humanity

So, what happens with humanity?

For every point in empathy, you have 10 points in humanity

But, this is cyberpunk, meaning you are going

to use implants, and cybernetics have a cost, not only in Eurodollars, but also in humanity,

Each piece of cybernetics that you implant in your body has associated a cost in humanity

that is subtracted from your total, and for every 10 points of humanity you lose, you

lose one point of empathy

What happens when you reach zero empathy?

That you can no longer relate emotionally to humans

and you enter into the abyss of the most dangerous mental

illness of the 21st century, the cyber psychosis

And if you want to know what cyber-psychosis

is, you can visit this video, and that is the reason why I have so many lore videos,

now I can explain things about the game and then send you to the explanation so I don't

have to make videos that are one hour long

So, statistics takes us to the next level

SKILLS

Skills work more or less the same in all RPGs

so I don't think that this needs any clarification, there are certain skills that you can only

have if you are a certain character class, the original game has an insane amount of

them, I can guess they will be reduced in Cyberpunk 2077, but, this is something standard,

so let's go for the next

CYBERNETICS

In Cyberpunk, you are a punk with cybernetic,

easy to understand: High tech, Low Life

But in this universe, being a cyborg is stylish, you don't need to be a walking

tank, remember, looks are everything

In here you have Fashionware that are cybernetics

to look cool like tech hair or chem skins, Neuralware that are basic processors like

a smartgun link to link your brain with your weapon or memory chips for the brain, Implants

that are cyberware placed inside the body like nasal filters to stop toxic gases, Mr

Studd™, subdermal armor that are armor plates that are in the body, you have bioware that

are biological based enhancements like nanosurgeons to heal faster or skin weave to make your

skin be an armor, you have Cyberweapons that are weapons implanted into your body like the

blades of the woman in the teaser, that can be either built into real body or into cyberlimbs

you have Cyberoptics and Cyberaudio with telescope ability or a voice stress analyzer to detect

lies, you have cyberlimbs, that are cybernetic arms and legs, you have linear frames that

are implanted exoskeletons for strength and Body Plating that is an exo armor to covering the body

So, we have options in here

The thing is, as I said before, that you can't

go crazy with cybernetics because if you do you will go literally crazy

LOOKS

Oh yeah, again

So this is the part that, as we say in Spain,

doesn't have bread but it has crumb, meaning, style over substance

I'd like to note in here that in the teaser's pre-productions images there was an Icon America

shop that didn't make it to the teaser, and I expect to see this shop in this game,

and Image Fashionware and Cryo-Max, but in here we're not talking only about being

cool, or being incredibly cool, clothing can also have other functions like armor or fire

protection, or we can be even talking about clothing made of digital fabric

In here the options are limitless and I'm sure that we're going to find lots in the game

Regarding this, I'm seriously thinking about teaming with a mod creator to make a Cyber Fashion

line for the game, I'm pretty good at fashion design, I used to make a living out of it

making Gothic and Cyberpunk clothing

But yes, fashion, what the game will give and

what the mods will give together, will be amazing

GEAR

Not everything you use in this universe needs

to be implanted, there are also other options for when you don't want to be that close

to the cyber psycho edge, but you still want tools to use

In here you have medical, like

a first aid kit, tools like a breathing mask, entertainment, security, communications…

there are a lot of options, everything that a cyberpunk needs for their daily life without

needing surgery to attach it to their bodies

WEAPONS

I'm not going to explain all the weapons types here, I'll make a separate video tomorrow for that

but you can guess that weapons are also very important items of the life in Night City

And as I said before, everybody knows how to use a weapon, and everybody carries

some with them

Just for safety

Mostly because they need it

And these are the most important traits that define a character in the Cyberpunk universe,

there are more although I don't think that they are going to be translated into the video

game, but I could be wrong here, and that would be a pleasant surprise

Well, folks, thanks for watching, don't forget to take a look at our Cyberpunk 2077

lore playlist to know more about the dark future. See you in next videos and stay being amazing

Thor: Ragnarok - LEGO Marvel-thon! - Duration: 1:39.

Hello, just2good here,

and today's Marvel-thon is the 17th MCU film,

Thor Ragnarok.

This is known as a depature

from the other two Thor films -

being more comedic in tone.

Like, I wish this film had little to no serious moments,

but there's some important things that happen

which the comedic tone undercuts.

Now, if they didn't want to make it overwhemingly comedic,

then serious moments are okay.

But, the comedy became annoying at these points when it would undercut heavy stuff.

With that out of the way,

I think the tonal shift worked many other times.

However, my favorite thing about the film is the style.

Taiki Watititi captures this colorful,

80s sci-fi esque display and it looks so interesting.

And, I think Chris Hemsworth playing Thor

as the humorous character also works much better

than when he does this serious arrogant character for Thor.

However, the villain was really weak.

It's Hela, and she just has nothign interesting to her as a chacter.

The concept of how she came about was interesting,

being this censored part of Asgard history,

but Hela's motivations for taking over Asgard

are very generic and not fleshed out.

The other character in the film were good,

and I wish Loki had more scenes,

but that's all I have to say about the film.

I definitely like it better than the other two Thor movies.

LEGO released two sets for this movie.

They're both accurate, but in my opinion,

totally overrpiced.

The most innacurate part

is the minifigures' hair, like the Grandmasters is pretty off,

as is Valkyrie's and Banners.

Oh, and the Arena Clash's colors are way to bright,

and the build is a bit too incomplete for my tastes.

Though, I think they did a good job -

there's no scenes that I feel are missing sets.

Sure, I think they could've thrown Heimdel into the Ultimate Battle, a

nd Korg into the Arena Clash, but still.

Either way, what do you guys think of Thor Ragnarok?

Laeve your thoughts in the comments below.

I'll see you guys later, peace out, bye.

Müller, Kimmich, & More: Reactions After #FCBRMA - Duration: 1:33.

Obviously Real have plenty of individual quality. They took their goals well, but we let them have very few chances.

After the match, if you look at how many chances we failed to take, you could talk about our own shortcomings, and we must.

We were totally naïve and careless with our chances. It feels like Real had two shots and both ended in the back of the net.

That speaks for their quality, but it simply shouldn't be happening to us.

We did what we were intending to do for long spells, but we didn't take our chances and we conceded two silly goals.

You lose a game like this against a team like this when you don't capitalise on what you create up front.

We know it won't be easy, but we all saw Juventus go 3-0 up in Madrid. It wasn't a bad game from us.

So we'll still go to their place in a confident mood and we'll still be looking to turn the tie around.

The mood in the dressing room is very subdued, because we know we could have done much better and that we were the better team, but what can you do?

We have to accept the result, talk among ourselves and analyse the game. We still have everything to play for. We weren't the worse team today.

Unmade Bed

You stabbed my heart Yet wonder why I want no part

In a friendship with you What kind of friend would do

The things you've done And why would I intentionally surround myself

with anyone So petty

I told you I wasn't ready For a relationship, had to get myself together

Because whether You noticed or not, I was still a mess

I wasn't going to confess All my hurts to you

But I was just trying to make it through Each day without crying

Yet you were there trying To get me to move on

I would have moved along In time, but you put so much pressure

Because you wanted the pleasure Of being with me

But you didn't care to see I was hurting

Spent so much time asserting Yourself you didn't see what I valued

Didn't see how you'd Come off every time you got jealous of my

friend Didn't see that I couldn't depend

On you because you were selfish And I tried to make myself wish

We were together, but in the end it fell apart Because I wanted no part

In a relationship with someone who wasn't a part

In building me up, so instead you tore me down

Told me you hoped my friend didn't stick around

Upset that I had found Some support, someone to help ground

Me I loved your family

And wish I could happily Forget all that you said

But while you were seeing red You uttered things that you should have reread

Before sending, not seeing ahead To this moment when you wished you had stuck

with just a friendship instead But you said things better left unsaid

And made all hope dead When had you used your head

You could have at least been able to wish this newlywed

Congratulations, but the aforesaid Comments made your bed

So in it you must lie As you watch me get married to another guy

Kissing all your dreams of me and you goodbye.

The End.

Amplified EMFs Coming to Your Neighborhood Soon - Duration: 5:02.

Amplified EMFs Coming to Your Neighborhood Soon

The 5G, or "5th Generation," wireless network is the latest generation of mobile technologies

that the industry is rallying behind, touting it as a way to create faster internet and

streaming services, provide better cellphone coverage and even create "vibrant 'smart'

cities" with reduced commute times and energy usage and improved public safety courtesy

of smart grid efficiencies.1

Unlike the "4th Generation" (4G) technology currently in use, which relies on huge 90-foot

cell towers with about a dozen antenna ports on each, the 5G system uses "small cell" facilities

or bases, each with about 100 antenna ports each.2

Expected to be 10 to 100 times faster than 4G technology and capable of supporting at

least 100 billion devices,3 5G relies primarily on the bandwidth of the millimeter wave (MMW),

which is between 30GHz and 300GHz, according to EMF coach and author Lloyd Burrell.4

"MMWs do not travel well through buildings and they tend to be absorbed by rain and plants.

This interferes with the signal.

Added to this, high frequency waves like MMWs also have much shorter wavelengths that can't

travel far," he says.

"To counter this problem 5G will utilize smaller cell stations (and the technology of beamforming)

that'll scramble/unscramble and redirect packets of data on a no-interference path back to

us.

This could mean wireless antennas on every lamp post, utility pole, home and business

throughout entire neighborhoods, towns and cities," Burrell explains,5 and herein lies

one of its greatest potential problems and threats to public health.

New York Governor Sneaks 5G Bill Into State Budget

If you'd have an issue with a telecom company installing a 5G cell facility outside your

home, your office or your child's school, a provision added to Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's

state budget should make you take notice.

Currently, each municipality regulates whether cellphone antennae are allowed in public areas,

and the industry must negotiate fees and zoning regulations in each jurisdiction.

They've been lobbying for easier access via the federal and state levels for some time,

but so far such measures haven't advanced.

Cuomo's provision, however, would usurp municipalities' authority, instead granting authority to decide

on cell tower locations on utility poles, streetlights, arenas and college campuses

to the state.

Each cell "facility" could include equipment such as electric meters, cables and refrigerator-sized

boxes installed near the base of poles.6 Verizon, not surprisingly, endorsed the measure, saying

in a statement:7

"Verizon supports the governor's proposal to establish a uniform small cell siting process

that appropriately balances the community's desire for the latest, fastest wireless technology

with the interests of local governments in retaining control over the deployment of structures

and the use of rights of way This measure will promote private investment in state-of-the-art

telecommunications networks at no cost to taxpayers."

Yet, opponents state the provision basically gives away access to the industry, charging

just $20 per installation while the market rate is about $2,000.

Peter Baynes of the New York Conference of Mayors, told Newsday the proposal basically

"requires local taxpayers to subsidize industry's installation of these devices," adding "'Sure,

they want it cheaper and easier, but when it involves the public right of way, public

safety' and community aesthetics, locals should have a say."8

Similar proposals have been introduced in 13 states, with California's Gov. Jerry Brown

vetoing one in 2017.

The fact remains that installing 5G antennas on millions of utility poles and lampposts

across the U.S. represents an unprecedented exposure to wireless networks using a technology

that has not been widely used before, with unknown consequences to public health.

5G MMWs Penetrate Human Skin, Could Promote Antibiotic Resistance

While the telecom industry is touting 5G as a necessity for modern life something

that will take us out of the "stone ages" of technology into a new frontier of self-driving

cars and washing machines that can order their own soap, "5G is not necessary for public

safety," points out Telecom Power Grab, adding:9

"This is not about bringing broadband to underserved communities.

This is not about improving cellphone reception.

This massive build-out of wireless infrastructure is to enable telecom companies to blast their

signals into private homes and apartments to compete with cable companies.

"While installing more wireless infrastructure may be a goal of the telecom industry,it is

not a necessary public service, and the State should not allow any industry to bypass local

zoning regulations or discretionary review.

Nor should private interests be permitted to use public or private property for their

own financial gain without compensating property owners."

The antennae enclosures added to utility poles and lamp posts may not only be eye sores,

including antennae enclosures that are up to 6 cubic feet each, but also pose a very

real threat to public health.

While MMWs have not been widely used before, there are some concerning findings to date,

according to Telecom Power Grab, including that sweat ducts in human skin act as antennae

when they come in contact with MMWs.10

"The waves penetrate 1 to 2 millimeters of human skin tissue and are also absorbed by

the surface layers of the eye's cornea," Telecom Power Grab notes.11

In addition, there is a possibility the technology could worsen the problems with antibiotic-resistant

bacteria already plaguing the world, as they cause changes in E. coli and many other bacteria,

depressing their growth and changing properties and activity.

This also raises concerns that the technology could lead to similar changes in human cells.

According to researchers in the journal Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology:12

"MMW or electromagnetic fields of extremely high frequencies at low intensity is a new

environmental factor, the level of which is increased as technology advances.

It is of interest that bacteria and other cells might communicate with each other by

electromagnetic field of sub-extremely high frequency range

"[T]he combined action of MMW and antibiotics resulted with more strong effects.

These effects are of significance for understanding changed metabolic pathways and distinguish

role of bacteria in environment; they might be leading to antibiotic resistance in bacteria."

Radio Frequency Radiation Linked to Cancer, Other Health Effects

In May 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the cancer research

arm of the World Health Organization (WHO), declared radiofrequency (RF) radiation from

cellphones a Group 2B "possible carcinogen," meaning a "possible cancer-causing agent,"

based on the available research.

The $25 million research conducted by the National Toxicology Program (NTP) an interagency

research program started by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in 1978

and now housed at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) included

two separate studies (one on mice and one on rats) that also revealed exposure to the

type of radiation emitted by 2G and 3G cellphones could cause heart tumors, DNA damage and tumors

in the brain, prostate, liver and pancreas.13 With 5G technology, additional concerns are

raised.

According to research by Dr. Yael Stein of Hebrew University of Jerusalem and colleagues,

computer simulations have revealed that sweat glands concentrate MMWs in human skin, which

may be sensed as heat waves or physical pain to humans.

In a 2016 letter to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in opposition of 5G technology,

Stein wrote:14

"If these devices fill the public space they will affect everyone, including the more susceptible

members of the public: babies, pregnant women, the elderly, the sick and electro hypersensitive

individuals.

"Potentially, if G5 WI FI is spread in the public domain we may expect more of the health

effects currently seen with RF/ microwave frequencies including many more cases of hypersensitivity

(EHS), as well as many new complaints of physical pain and a yet unknown variety of neurologic

disturbances.

It will be possible to show a causal relationship between G5 technology and these specific health

effects.

The affected individuals may be eligible for compensation."

In addition, Burrell compiled a host of other research that shows the proliferation of 5G

for the sake of faster internet could be a public health disaster.

For instance, the frequencies utilized by 5G have been linked to:15

Lens opacity in rats, which is linked to the production of cataracts

Impacted heart rate variability, and indicator of stress, in rats

Heart rate changes (arrhythmias) in frogs Immune system effects in healthy mice

5G Could Harm Plants, Change the Environment in Unforeseen Ways

There are serious environmental issues to consider as well, especially since MMWs are

absorbed by both plants and rain.

Studies have already shown that MMWs may invoke stress protein changes in plants such as wheat

shoots,16 while low levels of nonionizing radiation have been linked to disturbances

and health problems in birds and bees.

It could even pose a danger to the food supply via its potential absorption by plants.

"Humans and animals alike consume plants as a food source.

The effects MMW have on plants could leave us with food that's not safe to consume,"

Burrell stated.

"Think GMOs on steroids.

The water that falls from the sky onto these plants will also be irradiated."17

Many are also not aware that the global 5G wireless network requires the use of rockets

to deploy satellites, which has pollution risks in itself, including the release of

black carbon into the atmosphere, which could disturb ozone.18

Your Exposure to 5G Will Be Involuntary

Once it's installed in your neighborhood, you won't have a choice to opt out of 5G exposure.

In an open letter to medical organizations by the Global Union Against Radiation Deployment

From Space (GUARDS), an international coalition against global WiFi from space, "flooding

the planet with microwave radiation" in this way is described as a violation of human rights,

"including the U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, several sections

of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child, international human rights as set out

per articles 3 and 25 in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and all basic precepts of

ethics."

GUARDS continued:19

"Space-based microwave radiation deployments threaten to inundate the planet with RF radiation

without informed individual consent or a meaningful option for individual avoidance.

"Since wireless transmitters in the upper atmosphere will add to proliferating wireless

technologies on the ground (such as wireless utility metering systems and all transmitting

antenna components of wireless network equipment and devices), additional dramatic increases

in pulse-modulated microwave radiation levels would be anticipated.

" Pulse-modulated microwave radiation has been reported by thousands of peer-reviewed

studies to cause cancers, DNA damage, infertility and blood-brain barrier damage.

It impairs immune, endocrine, cardiovascular, and neurological functions in humans and ultimately

adversely affects all living things.

Some satellites will use a very high-frequency portion of the spectrum (millimeter waves)

shown to cause cellular resonance effects."

If you want to get involved in keeping 5G out of your community, please contact your

legislators to voice your opinion.

If you live in New York, you can find contact information for your calls or letters at TelecomPowerGrab.org,

which recommends asking your senator or assemblyperson to protect your rights and property by removing

the Small Wireless Facilities Deployments (Article 13-E) from the governor's proposed

budget.

If you live elsewhere, Parents for Safe Technology has also compiled a list of U.S. agencies

you can contact about this important issue for the health and safety of future generations

and the planet.

I always knew that I wanted to major in business. I had taken a series of

aptitude tests while I was in high school that led me to understand I'd be

qualified to be a florist, a barber as well as someone in Marketing. So I

decided on the latter half but I felt that my experience with mathematics as

well as my admiration for personability and working with people one on one would

help to actually apply that into an international setting and see how the

world works from that business standpoint that kind of makes it

turn on a daily basis.

I began using the OPCD services during the summer going into my junior year

when I reached out to my academic advisor asking her for some help trying

to figure out where I was going to head. She redirected me to Ms. Liesl, who has

been so helpful. She not only gave up her office so that I've had space to do

interviews with prospective employers but also just sitting there and helping me work

through potential internship applications and anything that I needed

from that professional standpoint.

I ended up doing informational interviews for several reasons. They were

a required course curriculum for both my BUSI 2010 and my MKTG 3010

courses, in order to give us kind of a foot in the door and help us to

understand more about what you can learn from professionals in the industry.

I also wanted to reach out to several of my dad's colleagues and friends who I knew

were experienced in the field that I intend to pursue. I just wanted to hear some of their

insight - not only about what it took to be involved, but also what they've been

doing thus far and what has led them up to the path they are today - so that I can

begin to develop that platform, established what I want to do and

hopefully find my direction in the end.

The difference between informational interviewing and regular interviewing

typically comes down to the purpose - whether you are there to get a job or get

insight. So when you're conducting an informational interview it's important

that you do research for both of these, of course, but you want to figure out

where that research is going to lead you to. If you're trying to learn more about

a position, if you're trying something learn something about a company or an experience

they may have from a job whereas, if you are conducting your regular interview,

you need to know more information about the company so you're able to present

that information in a more professional setting as well as demonstrating your

background and experiences that make you qualified to work alongside and parallel

that company's success.

In order to prepare for the informational interviews, I did a lot of

research - both on LinkedIn and Google - learning about the companies that all of

these people worked for, as well as their background so that I can understand and

make questions that had demonstrated my research. I found it very

valuable to have questions prepared in advance. I prepared a spreadsheet and

I prepared a document just so that I would have that and have something to go off of

to guide the questions. I based these off of what I wanted to learn but also

hearing from the prior history.

I believe that there's a misconception

about what creates an opportunity. A lot of the time opportunities exist but

it's up to you to take advantage of them. There are services that we both pay

for and have as students here at Auburn, as students of the College of Business, that

students don't choose to take advantage of because they sometimes don't know

they exist but also don't know just how great they can be for their personal

success. I would highly recommend that students - whether they be freshmen,

sophomores or even seniors ready to graduate - reach out to their career

advisors so that they can learn some of their insight. It could be helping them

to find internships or simply giving them a few tips along the road of what

to wear for that interview coming up. When you have people who do have

that experience and are willing to give away some of that experience and insight,

it's worth taking advantage of.
