Apple Said To Prep Massive $400 Billion Shareholder Payout To Offset iPhone Disappointment - Duration: 4:26.
Apple Said To Prep Massive $400 Billion Shareholder Payout To Offset iPhone Disappointment
by Tyler Durden
Apple's iPhone X sales woes have been extensively documented in recent days (most recently in
"Doubts Grow At Apple" That A $1,000 Smartphone May Not Have Been A Winning Idea"), and with
earnings by the world's most valuable company scheduled for tomorrow after the close, many
have asked just how Apple will avoid having its stock punished for what has been a disappointing
quarter.
Adding fuel to the fire, Daniel Ives, an analyst at GBH Insights in New York, said Wall Street
was in "full panic mode" about iPhone figures.
Well, it appears that Tim Cook has come up with a solution: according to The Times, the
Apple CEO may unveil a mammoth $400bn cash return to shareholders "in an attempt to ease
unrest over weak iPhone sales."
Several analysts have predicted that Cook will hand shareholders $300bn to $400bn through
dividends and a share buyback scheme over two to three years.
After resuming dividend payments and instituting a share buyback scheme in 2012, largely at
the suggestion of Wall Street, Apple has added between $30BN and $50BN to its shareholder
return program at around this time every year according to the FT, and at the current pace,
ahead of this weeks eagerly anticipated announcement, all those buybacks and dividends
will total $300bn by March 2019.
A huge buyback by Apple has been made likely by Donald Trumps tax cuts, which will allow
Apple to repatriate its $252bn foreign cash pile without paying a substantial capital
gains tax bill; in fact as many companies with a large offshore hoard have shown this
earnings season, they have been aggressively using cash to repay investors, none more so
than Amgen whose cash shrank by a quarter this quarter to fund buybacks.
The FT confirms as much, reporting overnight that a record-breaking expansion to Apples
capital returns scheme "could help win over investors who have become preoccupied by concerns
of a global slowdown in smartphone sales."
Apple said in February that it planned to eliminate what was then a $163bn cash pile,
net of debt, after repatriating capital accumulated overseas following recent US tax reforms.
Wall Street analysts expect the vast majority of those profits to be given back to shareholders
in the coming years, in a move that could take Apples cumulative capital returns
since 2012 to as much as $450bn by 2020.
Analysts at Morgan Stanley estimate that Apple could announce a $150bn increase to that sum
on Tuesday.
This would imply Apple repurchases $210bn in shares and pays $52bn in dividends over
the next three years, the bank said in a recent note to clients, adding that this
would still leave about $30bn available for acquisitions.
Deutsche Bank's Jim Reid commented on the massive buyback rumor:
Apple is considering a $400bn payout to shareholders over the next 2-3 years to ease simmering
concern about growth and the new iPhone X sales figures.
To put that number in perspective, a country with $400bn of annual output would slot it
above Norway but just below Austria and in 28th in the world.
So Apples results on Tuesday may have some implications for the wider market and could
go either way with investors worried about sales but with a possible mega payout as compensation.
Definitely one to watch.

#تجارب_هيثم ١١ : تجربتي كموظف في ستاربكس !! - Duration: 9:53.
Today I'm offering you valuable information about Starbucks
I'm starting my experience as a Barista at Starbucks
Let's see, what are they doing here?
All the details (work time, benefits..etc) will be in the description box at the end of video
I'm in backroom to fill out my information (name, hobbies, things I like ... etc.) to post it on the board to introduce myself to the store team
There are many stations in each branch like food station, espresso station for hot beverages, etc.
Here's the cold beverages station
the juice station
and the cashier station
Before the store doors open, staff are distributed, just like the pitch plan in football where the players are assigned to their stations.
Every branch of Starbucks follows the same mechanism for staff distribution
Training starts step by step. First by making tea, then coffee and so on
- Mohammed, why are you in a white T-shirt and I am in a black one? - Because you are a Barista and I'm a Shift Supervisor
I'm making the best cup of coffee
The most important thing in Starbucks is to welcome the customers with a smile
- Ice caramel macchiato? what size? - Medium
Ice caramel macchiato
Starbucks partners write the names of the customers on their cups to create a friendly relationship with them
And also to know how frequent the customer visits and what is his preference
There is someone called the 'Mystery Shopper' who visits stores and places his order as a normal customer
His task is to evaluate staff's performance and implementation of service standards
Starbucks believes in treating their employees with great respect and refers to them as partners, not employees, as a sign of appreciation
Do you know where we get the coffee beans from?
The process starts with planting the coffee beans, and then growing, harvesting, collecting, and drying them before they are ultimately delivered to warehouses
This is the warehouse where beans are stored
The shipments are received in the warehouse first, and then they are sorted and distributed to branches
Now I'll be delivering the beans to the branch
The final destination of the coffee beans is in this machine, where we grind it to make you a fresh cup of coffee
See! Making your morning coffee is not as simple as you might think
Do you know what is this?
Baristas hold it here
It is used to remind you to do your tasks on time
It's time to check the tables
- What are the biggest challenges you face in Starbucks? - When I face the customers :)
- Is this job enough to pay your bills? - Absolutely
All Saudi women are great at what they do. They manage the store on their own
- Hi Salma! How are you? - Fine, thanks
- How long have you been working at Starbucks? - 1 year and 2 months
- What do you like about Starbucks? - I love making coffee, so I thought of working at Starbucks
- How come that you hold a Master's degree and yet work in Starbucks? - Yes, why not? Starbucks is a global brand and I'm working in an international company
- Where do you see yourself in the next 3 or 4 years? - I will be the leader of one of the largest retail food companies in the Kingdom
Partners are sitting together to discuss new products and indulge in a routine of "coffee tasting" practice
There are many Barista championships in Starbucks like Best Barista, Best Latte Art, etc.
It is an international championship that will be held on the local level in Saudi Arabia, then on the regional level, then internationally.
Do know where the first Starbucks store in Saudi Arabia is?
It is in Al Rashid Mall in Khobar
- Hi Jamal! How are you? - Fine, thank you
- How do you feel about working in the first Starbucks store in Saudi Arabia? - Proud
- Jamal, dulce De leche please ! - Barista name same as customer name
Starbucks has 145 branches in Saudi Arabia and 1500 Baristas across these stores
20% of them are Saudi, and the number will increase after this experience
Do you know there are 27,000 Starbucks stores around the world?
First Starbucks store opened in Seattle in 1971 (48 years ago)
Drive Thru can be tiring, but it is very much fun
If you are working in Starbucks, you will either grow into a better position or get inspired to start your own business
What's more, Starbucks has the best work environment
When a partner says "Felix", it means he is stepping out for a quick break (5-10 minutes)
Took a break for 10 minutes. Partners get two free drinks of any kind every day
And a free coffee bag every month
We all make mistakes, it is important to learn from them
Even if a customer drops his cup, he can get another one for free
- How does Starbucks management deal with you? - Very, very well
I'll give you a valuable piece of information about Starbucks products
All Starbucks products (iced shaken, Frappuccino, iced mocha, etc.) are from these two shots with specific measures of milk, ice or other ingredients
This is the manager :)
The branch manager is responsible for cash and must hand it over at the end of the day
Starbucks offers free workshops called 'Opportunity Café', which offers training and resources to young people to help them start their careers successfully
These programs are in partnership between Starbucks and EFE (Education For Employment)
I'm in Alshaya Retail Academy
Employees get their classroom training here
Starbucks has two training programs. The first one is the Barista Training Program
- Did you pass this program? - I still have 2 weeks to go
- What do you think about this program? - Interesting and everyone is helpful
The second one is Management Training Program
- This is Abdullah - Branch Manager at Starbucks
- Can you tell me about the Management Training Programme (MTP)? - It is a program designed to help individuals become into managers and prepare them for leadership roles
If you are interested in a successful career with Starbucks, take a screenshot and fill your information in the link
We have reached the end of this Starbucks experience. Do not forget to subscribe for more experiences in future
Follow my snapchat, to stay up to date with new and old experiences
Good-bye

How to edit youtube videos as quickly as a rocket 🚀 - Duration: 6:56.
One of my personal heroes is Steve Prefontaine. An American middle and
long-distance runner who tragically died at age 24.
He once said something like "somebody can beat me
but they are going to have to
bleed to do it".
When I edit YouTube videos I want to be like Steve.
I wanna be as efficient as it gets. in fact I have a five step formula that I use all the time.
If you're video creator of any kind you know that looking into the lens it's not
easy to speak as fluently as in front of your dog, or cat, or horse. you get the point.
And either you're a youtuber, film editor, or anyone who has to deal with
editing talking heads, you know what I'm talking about.
Recently, I've had a chat with Michelle from the channel Ride On Cycling.
My goal when working with creators is to make them run in their editing software
as fast as Steve Prefontaine. if that's your first time here my name is Piotr Toczynski.
You can call me Peter. This channel is all about mastering film editing
so you can craft stories that resonate with your audience. Stories that can
eventually make a difference in their life. So without further ado, let's get to
the juicy part. Everything we'll talk about here should be possible in any
editing platform. But since Premiere Pro is the editing software of my choice
that's what we'll use for our example.
The whole process is based on four
shortcuts and on duplicating sequences. The first step is to create a sequence with
all your talking head footage. It's best to shoot in chronological, structured
order so you don't need to reorder anything here for now. make sure you
synchronize your sound before you get to the cutting. Second step is to assign two
custom shortcuts that will make things fast and easy.
Go to 'Edit', 'Keyboard shortcuts'
and search for 'Add edit to all tracks'.
Ctrl + Shift + K, or command + Shif + K
is not very handy so we need to assign something else that works
better for us. Since we'll be using this shortcut very often it's best to assign
one letter to it. In my case it will be 'D'. So I will delete the shortcut
and add another one which will be 'D'.
Now, there is a warning 'The shortcut D is
already used by another application command select clip at playhead. This
comment will no longer have a shortcut.' Since I'm not using this command very often
I can live without it. Next, we'll search for 'Ripple delete'.
Once again we need to assign something handy in my case it will be a letter 'F'
since I don't use 'Match frame' command very often and I can assign something
else to it. When you're done with these changes make sure you save it as a
keyboard shortcut preset. So click 'save as' and give it a useful name.
This way you'll always be able to go back to Premiere Pro default settings
Pro tip here is synchronizing this keyboard shortcut preset in your Creative Cloud.
To do it go to 'File', choose your Adobe ID and choose 'Sync settings now.'
And here you have the option to upload settings.
Synchronizing settings with Creative Cloud.
If you want to control what's being synchronized, go to 'Edit',
'Preferences' and 'Sync settings'. Here you can choose what do you want to
synchronize. This way you can have the access to your keyboard shortcut presets
from anywhere in the world. for example on Vanuatu island or in Croatia.
I'm going with my wife and my son to Croatia this year. Third step is using four
keyboard shortcuts so you're left only with potentially usable takes. So before I
will show you this process in action, let's focus on separate keyboard shortcuts.
First is 'Q'. It trims the left side of the clip to the playhead
by ripple deleting. The second one is 'W' and it does the same for the right side of
the clip. 'D' adds the Edit point to all tracks where the playhead is at the moment
and last but not least, 'F' will ripple delete selected clip.
Now, to recognize what parts of clip may be usable before we even play the clip
we want to have a look at waveform all the time. Also, we want to have scrubbing
enabled so it's something like this.
We're hearing what's going on by scrubbing the playhead in real time.
If you have scrubbing disabled go to 'Edit', 'Preferences', 'Audio' and check the checkbox
play audio while scrubbing.
Okay, so have a look how this process looks in real time.
Now, there are things you may do during
the recording, to make the process a little easier. First of all record one long
file rather than separate files for each take. At least for me that's much easier
And I will not forget to hit the record button. You can visually mark the good
take in the camera. Usually it will be the last take. There are two ways to do it
First method. Clap your hands after the
good take. It will be visible on audio waveform. The second method
is covering the lens with your hand for a few seconds. Then, when scrubbing the timeline
you will visually see the good take. So, we'll end up with the sequence
that has all potentially usable takes. But we still need to choose the right ones.
And these are steps 4 and 5. I always want to have kind of a history of my
project in one file. That keeps me organized and lets me go back in the
process if I need to. So, before any major change to the timeline, I like to
duplicate the sequence. And that's what we'll do here. Just right-click on
the sequence and choose 'duplicate'. I will call the sequence we've just worked on
'Selects' and duplicated one will be our first 'Rough Cut' since this will be
the sequence with the core of our content. And finally step number 5 which is
choosing the right take. Of course, we'll use a shortcut 'F' to ripple delete unwanted takes.
The last editing tip is to use labels in this workflow. For example,
when you screw up a take or something unexpected happens it can still be
useful if it's especially funny. So to mark any clip that can be useful, even if
it doesn't add up to the content, you can mark it and label it with any color you want.
I use keyboard shortcuts for labeling and I've talked about it in my
video on the topic, so check it out.
Tell me in the comments what do you struggle with
in your editing workflow.
If you've found it useful, I'd love you to hit that
subscribe button and share with your filmmaking friends.
Film friends. Is it the word? Movie friend? It was Peter,
until the next time shoot and edit like there is no tomorrow.

KARTRA - HOW TO UPLOAD AN EMAIL LIST - Duration: 7:39.
How to upload an email list into
Kartra. In this video, in my series of
videos on Kartra, I'm going to show you,
simply and easily, how to upload an email
list into Kartra.
What I'm beginning to love about
Kartra is it is always simple and
easy! Hi my name is Sue Ferreira, Founder
of Wisdom To Wealth Mastery, where I show you
how to take all the wisdom you have up
here, and take it to the world with video and
with all the cutting-edge tools of the
web. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel
to learn more about how to take your
message to a wide audience. Click the
"Subscribe" button below and then click
the little bell icon, to receive a
message, each time I upload a new video.
In a previous video, I compared and
contrasted three excellent platforms
Kartra, Clickfunnels and New Kajabi
and I made the comment that whenever a
new platform is launched, you
always have to do that "Big Think" - you
have to weigh the pros and the cons, and
ponder whether it's worth the time, the
effort, and the hassle to move all of
your content to a new platform. I've
spent the last couple of weeks playing
around with Kartra and I'm loving it. I
love the fact that it's a comprehensive
platform, but I also like its simplicity.
Let's go over now to my computer and I
will show you how to upload an email
list into Kartra. Here we are, over on
my Macbook. I've already logged into my
Kartra account, and as you can see on
the left hand side, there's a dashboard
with all of the different products, pages,
campaigns, forms, memberships etc. If
you're going to upload an email list,
come over to the left-hand side and
click "My Campaigns" and you will see at
the top here, you have options of Lists,
Leads and Tags, and this is the generic
page underneath here, showing you the
different kinds of subscribers, you can
have. The different color-coded
subscribers. All you need to do is click
Lists, come over to the pulsating, green button
here, on the right side, "New List" and
enter the name of your list. I'm just
going to put "Import List" and I will copy
and I will call
the public description the same name.
Click "Next" and I go to a page, where I
have three options. I've created a list
so I get a nice green tick, and now I can
either go "Back To My Lists', "Import My
Leads" or "Create An Opt-in Form". I'm
going to "Import My Leads". I have already
downloaded my leads from my
previous autoresponder. I'm going to say
"Import Leads", click Next. Then I come
to the page, where I can import a file. I
have my file ready for importing. I just
click and drag or I can Browse and find
it, but I'm going to click and drag and I
have successfully uploaded my email list -
that fast! Save and Next. If you want to
upload another batch, you have an option
here. If you want to "Reset and Start
Again", you have the option here, but I've
uploaded my contacts. I'm going to say
Save and Next. Kartra will ask you to
select the fields that you want to use
within your email list. I'm only going to
go with First Name, Email and the Dates
Subscribed. I am going to come here to
Select and put First Name; select Email.
To have Date Subscribed - it doesn't have
the field already here, so I'm going to come
across and do "create New Field and call
it Date Subscribed -Create and 434
records will be imported. One of the
things, I really like about the Kartra
importing of lists, is that it searches
for spam emails, duplicated emails and blocks
some and if they're ok, it will import
them. I have two emails here that
won't be imported - Save. Now I'm being
asked to sign assign Tags. I'm going to
say Change Yes
Assign Tags to select the category - No
Category. In this "create a new tag,
I will call this in Original Import
List and the tag will be the same. I'm
not going to subscribe them to any list
right now, and in the same way, I'm not
going to subscribe them to any sequences.
I'm going to Save and Save, Add and then
Save and go to Save. Next, how did I
collect these emails? By Email Double
Opt-in, which becomes especially
important now that the European GDPR is
coming into play. Are they hosted in a
commercial CRM platform? I'm going to say
Yes Kartra. I am confirming that I am the
owner of the site of my site, Wisdom To
Wealth Mastery.com - then submit. Type my
email address - info@wisdomtowealthmastery.
com - send. A code has now been sent to
this email to confirm that I am the
owner.
Kartra has sent me a validation code via
email 1 4 7 3. Add my code 1 4 7 3 -
check and Kartra has verified my domain. I
submit. I am already connected with
Facebook, I did that when I set up my
dashboard - submit again and my phone
number is verified. We are almost done.
Proceed to the final step - save. And it's
Congratulations, your import request has
been successfully submitted, and we will
review it in the following 24 hours. Do I
want to import more leads? Not at the
moment. I will do that at another time
and do I want to return to the leads
pages? No, I don't want to do that either.
What I also love is the way Kartra is
the same as Webinarjam and Everwebinar,
which is not surprising, because they are
both products from Andy Jenkins and
Mike Filsaime, but you have this same
series of clicks across the top of the
page, as you progress through any one of
the processes,
that would be involved in Webinarjam,
Everwebinar or Kartra. It feels the same. It
makes your learning curve quicker, if
you're already familiar with Webinarjam
and Everwebinar. That's all there is to
importing an email list into Kartra.
This was my first attempt at uploading
an email list into Kartra. I had no
practice runs, so you can see how each
step logically unfolds and helps you
through the whole process. If you like

you in the next video.
