Waching daily May 3 2018

We're moving to the first match of the series.

Winter split final is starting.

Is Stom going to be seen? No, he won't.

Dumbledoge is flayed back and he doesn't have devour yet!

HolyPhoenix is in trouble. Heal and flash won't save him!

In KMF, in BO5...

BAUSuperMassive is the winner of the first game.

-Holy! -Quadra!

Cho'Gath gets a quadrakill!

Royal Bandits will not allow the 3-0!

BAUSuperMassive fans are all cheering!

Fab is dominating. Second nexus tower is down, too.

KMF is a tradition for SuperMassive. And they'll continue this tradition.

BAUSuperMassive is the champion.

ROAD TO CHAMPIONSHIP

APRIL 13, 2018

BAUSUPERMASSIVE ESPORTS SEMI-FINALS CELEBRATION DINNER

Today was harder than we had expected.

BAUSUPERMASSIVE - TOP LANE

We had thought we could win easily but we made many mistakes.

Normally, we don't do many mistakes.

That's why we were the first in the league. Anyway...

Because we made many mistakes, the match grew longer.

It was a clown fiesta.

But we won eventually, so we're happy. We're looking forward for the finals.

I think after today, I can say this shortly...

BAUSUPERMASSIVE GENERAL MANAGER

We've talked about how our league improved itself through the season.

We talked about the players of high quality.

I think our opponent wonderfully played.

I congratulate them by heart.

This year, all of our opponents played really well.

That's why,

we or any other team go to MSI...

If they're going to have any chance at MSI,

it would be thanks to this competition.

That makes me happy.

Winning such a game makes me even happier.

But we got really tired. True story.

Our motivation for KMF continues because we want to go to the MSI.

Everyone in the team wants to go there.

We want to go abroad. And it's especially important because it is in Germany.

Our ex-teammate Tolerant is there.

He lives there and we want to see him.

It also gives us extra motivation.

I think we're motivated enough.

The best team will be win.

In any case, we'll see the stronger opponent.

So, actually, it's not something that I could choose.

But, here's the thing...

It was a pleasure for us to our ex-teammate Rogu and Naru,

and it will be a pleasure to play against Dumble at the finals as well.

Because we know him and we love him.

This competition is very sweet.

I expect Royal Bandits to win tomorrow.

Probably, it would be 3-1 or 3-0.

They can win with their style.

But I think Royal Bandits is stronger.

That's why I want Crew to win.

APRIL 14, 2018 SECOND FINALIST IS ROYAL BANDITS

Royal Bandits showed us

that they are a superior team

and how prepared they are for the finals.

It was a clean game.

Especially in the other semi-final series,

SUP and Aurora had 30-40 kills.

We finished the series with a clean macro game.

I'm happy with it.

Because it could have been the opposite.

We played with that many kills against SuperMassive.

But our macro game is good right now.

And SuperMassive has issues with team-fighting.

They fight too much.

That's why I'm happier now.

The final series will be hard.

I don't think it will be easy for us.

I think we can win by 3-2.

But I don't want to assume.

APRIL 14, 2018

ROYAL BANDITS ESPORTS CELEBRATION DINNER

I think we prepared very well

ROYAL BANDITS GENERAL MANAGER

for a long time.

We never underestimated our opponents or thought ahead that we would win.

We see every game as a final game.

Today in semi-final, we played seriously and won.

We are all happy as a team.

We're happy because we won against Crew easily.

And we feel confident.

I hope we can also show that in the finals as well.

SuperMassive is one of the teams in the league that we respect most.

But...

They're not unbeatable

because it's BO5. And final's atmosphere is different.

I personally trust all of our team members.

I'm sure that we can be successful.

I think we'll go to MSI.

It's my opinion.

It's our team's mentality as well.

We think that we'll win.

I think they're a really strong team. But we're strong, too.

ROYAL BANDITS - SUPPORT

It's wide open what will happen that day.

However, I believe that we'll win 3-1.

APRIL 16, 2018

ATA STUDIOS PROMO SHOOT

We're shooting a promo film before KMF with our players.

The two teams are SuperMassive and Royal Bandits.

We're shooting with SuperMassive first.

They're a bit excited.

It's the first time... They are used to this but

they got excited when they saw the cup. We got excited as well.

The shooting is continuing.

We woke up at 6 AM for the shoot.

We usually wake up

BAUSUPERMASSIVE - JUNGLER

around 11-12.

It wasn't good for us, to wake up that early.

It affected our sleeping pattern but it's OK.

They took single and group shoots.

It was quick.

When a team goes to finals, there're so many shootings.

We'll probably have a very few scrims. Maybe a day or two.

So it depends what we had done in the previous weeks.

That's it.

Some in here,

some in league operations, some as referees,

in video or in broadcast;

a big team is working here.

You can see that there's so much to do.

We're trying to catch up.

We're trying to prepare something that our players would be pleased with.

With that thrill of esports...

That these two teams are going to MSI...

It's also thrilling for them.

I hope they'll have a final that will please themselves.

Malrang and Cepted will be on the stage first time in Turkey.

Although they were on the stage in Korea,

ROYAL BANDITS - MARKSMAN

I think it's big for them that it's their first time in Turkey.

It'll be Sergen's first time as well.

Dumble and I have been on the stage so many times.

I think it's good for them to see.

I saw the spark in their eyes.

It was good.

I...

I couldn't be on stage last year.

We managed to come here this year.

It'll be great for me to be on the stage after a year.

It's this weekend.

I'm excited.

I missed this atmosphere and shootings.

I hope it'll be a good event.

We see an enthusiastic crowd in these types of events.

I hope it'll be the same for this time.

Maybe it'll be bigger,

because it's our first time.

We'll see how many of our supporters will be there.

I want to hear their voices.

I think the best will win.

There's no room for chance, the best will win.

Both of the teams are strong.

I hope the best.

THE FINALISTS ARE WARMING UP AT THEIR GAMING HOUSES.

BAUSUPERMASSIVE ESPORTS GAMING HOUSE

We all know that the events like

BAUSUPERMASSIVE - FOUNDING PARTNER

KMF and TBF are really important for the esports.

Because this the game where

we'll see the results of what we had done through the league.

The audience

broadcasts on TV, YouTube and Twitch

and the mass that we reach proves the magnitude of esports.

And with that,

it provides us sponsorships,

motivates players

and also us, the investors and managers.

It motives us to make future plans.

Riot Games come over big in this.

KMF and TBF finals are

important because we go abroad and play in more important tournaments.

BAUSUPERMASSIVE - MARKSMAN

We like winning.

Everybody who plays this game loves winning.

Our aim is winning. We love winning.

The play-offs are very important.

It's great to play in them

I think BO5 is very different than BO1.

BAUSUPERMASSIVE - JUNGLER

It's more exciting.

Even when you make a mistake,

next game you can reset and play better afterwards.

I've been on every KMF except one year,

when I was at HWA, two years ago.

I've won most of them.

KMF is easy for me.

BAUSUPERMASSIVE - TOP LANE

TBF is harder.

But winning KMF is really good.

We've been going to MSI for two years. And we've been winning.

We want to go there for the third year as well.

It would be good to go there three years in a row.

We want to win.

We won all the KMFs.

In all the TBFs, we played in the finals but we lost.

But there's this thing for us;

it's our fifth season,

and we played with a different opponent each time.

There's no other team who played in two finals other than us.

I think it shows our stability.

Obradovic said this once:

Our team's success is to be in the Final Four all the time.

Because you can't be the champion all the time,

you'll be at the top when you show your strength.

ROYAL BANDITS ESPORTS GAMING HOUSE

I think KMF is really important both for us

ROYAL BANDITS - CEO

and esports teams in Turkey.

Because they have this chance to show themselves

and represent Turkey.

It affects Turkey more than one team.

That's why I think KMF is really important for us.

Like I said...

You represent your country in global arena

and it's important for this industry to grow.

When I first started professional gaming, KMF was my first tournament on stage.

Playing against a crowd was a different feeling for me.

ROYAL BANDITS - SUPPORT

It's one of my first moments that I couldn't forget.

It was one of the first moments when I felt my heart beats.

That's why KMF will be always special for me.

Winter season finals are the ticket for us for our main goal.

ROYAL BANDITS - MEMBER OF BOARD

Because it is the first step to go to Europe, abroad and Worlds.

We want to be in the global arena.

KMF is very important for me.

Because the last split didn't go well for me.

ROYAL BANDITS - TOP LANE

I can say that.

In this final, I want to prove myself.

I think I'm better now.

It's not only our players.

Both our translator David, our coach...

ROYAL BANDITS - MEMBER OF BOARD

They all contribute.

Emine also contributes us.

Because it's a team synergy.

Our general manager Mert, too, has done a lot for us.

It's a team game like we always say.

Not only the players on the stage or on the Rift,

but also the players at the background stand out.

David?

What's up?

Are you OK?

All right.

I'm helping these kids around the house.

ROYAL BANDITS - AUXILIARY PERSONNEL

I'm doing the cleaning, making breakfast, cleaning up their rooms and computers.

I'm not cooking for them, they're ordering it. That's all.

I haven't figured out what the Koreans like and eat yet.

I don't know, they eat something a little bit weird.

Turkish kids generally eat chicken, grills,

pasta etc... The Koreans eat quite different food, though.

They eat something weird.

I've been teaching Turkish to some of them.

Started with "Good morning, Emine!" in Turkish.

I've taught different expressions as well.

We're getting along pretty well.

Four toasts?

-At four. -Oh, you're gonna eat at four pm. Got it.

See, we totally get each other!

We can understand each other through gestures.

This means "are you hungry?"

Would like some toast? Two?

He says okay. That's how we understand each other.

I'm making fried eggs with sausages,

boiled eggs for them.

I'm fraying potatoes, etc.

I'm not waiting up for the translator, I'm talking to them directly.

Instead of waiting for the translator, I'm handling all the communication.

But I love the folks so much. Love them all.

We get along so well. They're so nice.

They're all well-behaved boys.

I think it'll be important to stop Malrang if he chooses champions like Lee Sin.

He shouldn't be snowballing.

We need to stop him. We had some matches like that.

I think Royal Bandits are pretty strong.

I think it's 50/50.

We'll win most probably, but I'm saying 50/50

so as not to upset them.

It'll be a very tight series.

I think it's going to be the closest final series ever,

counting both TBFs and KMFs.

Our opponent said on stream that they're looking for restaurants in Germany.

These kind of things fire up our players more.

Personally, I'm not afraid.

But they're really strong,

it's gonna be tough win for us if we do. It won't be an easy game.

I'm not afraid of GBM.

I feel like he's an easy opponent to play against.

I think there is only one threat for us at SuperMassive.

If we play safe,

and the game goes to distant, their jungler won't be very useful.

Everyone knows what to do.

I think we're gonna win 3-2.

I think we'd lose at least one or two games even if we win. 3-1 or 3-2.

Looking at SuperMassive lately, if we win the first game,

I feel like we'd win 3-1 even if we play badly.

We're the better team.

We are confident in our abilities against SuperMassive.

The first match will be pretty important.

Winner of the first match will have an advantage.

Not only in terms of games, but also motivation.

I'm getting angry rather than excited, I can say.

I feel like, let the games start already.

I feel like I'm about to scream or something, you know.

APRIL 21, 2018 LAST REHEARSAL BEFORE THE FINALS

Preparing for the KMF, we started with the venue.

Afterwards, we decided how the arrangements of the stage would be.

Then, we decided how the audience experience would be.

We have a team of 80 people, give or take.

We've been working here for a week.

My job is to make sure that we won't have any issues in the event.

I'm in charge of stage setting...

HEY MOMENTS - EVENT MANAGER

...external operations and event stream design.

What do we do? As you can see, we're setting the stages right now.

We've completed setting the pods and establishing technical infrastructure.

Now, we're arranging the seats for the audience.

We're at Ata Studios for the 2018 KMFs.

Tomorrow is the big day. Today is the last day for the rehearsals.

Honestly, this is the most competitive season of

the Vodafone Freezone Championship League.

Not just in terms of transfers but also matches

played by these players.

Probably the best teams of this season... I don't think nobody would say otherwise.

SuperMassive and Royal Bandits will face on a five-game series.

Royal Bandits couldn't defeat BAUSuperMassive during the split.

The competition won't be affected even by that, though.

Tomorrow, if you ask ten people here, five would say SuperMassive

and the other five would say Royal Bandits.

It's a sign of how even both teams are.

We've been making preparations in here since Tuesday.

Stage setting, preparing the players' rooms, setting up the servers

and arranging other rooms used by us.

We're playtesting the servers right now.

We're checking if there's any bugs or problems in the servers before KMF.

We're also making some chronobreak tests.

We're pausing the game and rewinding it,

in the case of a chronobreak situation.

The importance of today is that this is the last day for preparations.

Today's the last day for making any mistakes.

Tomorrow, we'll be in front of tens of thousands of audience.

We need to display a show, mistake-free, loved by audience

and reflecting the importance of this competition.

So, we're very excited.

But, we're trying to get not too excited,

because tomorrow is the big day and we'll be much more excited tomorrow.

Let's see how the teams came to this point, if you like

and start our analysis afterwards.

Set the audience lighting.

APRIL 22, 2018 KMF IS STARTING

Royal Bandits will win 3-0 thanks to Cepted.

I think SuperMassive will win 3-0.

RBE will win 3-0.

But as a SUP fan, I hope SUP will win 3-2

I think Royal Bandits will win 3-2.

-SuperMassive, 3-0. -Supermassive, 3-1, I think.

I think it'll be Supermassive, by 3-1.

My hopes are with Royal Bandits

but I think their winning possibility is 55 percent, not 70 or 80.

It'll be Supermassive by 3-0, I think.

Because, they've performed dominantly throughout the season.

Cepted isn't here for nothing, I think. He'll do something.

We'll win by 3-0 and championship cup will be ours. There's no other way.

Everything they showed during the season was for this moment.

It's like basketball.

Team making, trainings and struggles throughout the season.

And today, in one day, the champion will be determined in a five-game series.

Everyone gets prepared for today and the winner will be determined today.

This is the path to MSI,

the path to compete against the champions of other regions

and it's a test for you against them.

It enables you to see how good you are against them.

Moreover, going to MSI is pretty prestigious.

Because, in contrary to World Championship,

you'll be playing against the best teams,

instead of playing against three or four best teams of each region.

And you test your strength better.

MSI is one of the two biggest stages a player can go in his career.

Champions of the world meet there and

showing yourself, even to be at that stage is pretty important, I think.

Furthermore, if you prove yourself at that stage,

you can get transferred to better and bigger leagues.

There are some exemplary players who managed to do it.

So, I think MSI is very important for every player.

These teams, BAUSuperMassive and Royal Bandits, are well prepared

and will do everything they can at the KMF, I think.

Today, we're at KMF and the gates are opened just now.

The audience outside really makes you feel the excitement,

even when they're going inside.

There might be less people today, compared to previous events

but I think these people, 600 of them, will fill the arena

and create a wonderful atmosphere.

Because everyone is already excited for the final.

I've talked to BAUSuperMassive fans, there are many of them here today.

All of them think the final could last for five matches.

They respect the rival team, and are aware that rivals are really good.

And we know that BAUSuperMassive and Royal Bandits

are the best two teams here, in the league, you know.

Maybe it'll be the best final we've seen recently.

These teams are probably the best two teams

Turkey League of Legends scene have seen

BAUSuperMassive has been so dominant that it overshadowed Royal Bandits.

If they didn't exist, Royal Bandits would probably be the best team

in the Turkish League of Legends history.

So, it's a pretty high level final

and I'm looking forward to watch the final.

2018 Winter Split is the highest level split in the League of Legends history.

I'm talking about the Turkish Championship League.

We've never been at this level in terms of game quality and player quality.

And these two teams have been one, even two steps ahead

of the other high class rivals throughout the season

They have world-class players.

If these teams participated in EU LCS today,

I'm sure they'd be at mid-tier, would be even fighting for the top.

That means we'll be watching the most exciting,

the highest level and the most demanding KMF ever.

SuperMassive have been the better team throughout the split.

But I think Royal Bandits has an advantage

due to its potential to make plays. We'll see about that.

Today KMF stage will witness a first

and TBF cup will be here as the cup of Turkish Grand Finals,

as the cup of both KMF and YMF.

And we'll see that KMF cup is raised

in its new form, in the hands of the champion.

I'm very excited to see that moment, too.

Ten, nine,

eight, seven, six,

five, four, three, two, one.

I Gave My First Presentations In ASL | ASL - Duration: 9:49.

[pencil writing]

[Pokemon game sound]

Hello.

It's been a while since I've been here.

Where the heck have I been?

I've been pretty busy lately.

But this video is going to be about that.

This week, or rather last week, I did my first presentations in ASL.

Yes, you saw that right.

My first time doing presentations in ASL.

A few weeks ago, I got an email.

It was from Deaf Media Summit.

They asked me if I wanted to come to DC [Gallaudet] and present there.

I found out about the summit before and thought that it looked interesting,

but I couldn't afford to go on my own.

But a company called ClearMask offered to sponsor my trip.

It was a 15 minute presentation about

accessibility in technology and Internet for deaf, blind, other disabilities.

And, of course, which language was I presenting in?

ASL.

My first time presenting only in sign language.

That scared the hell out of me.

If you've seen some of my posts on Twitter or Facebook,

I've been worried, scared, nervous about it.

I was like this for weeks.

I tried to focus, tried to practice the presentations beforehand, but

little fact about me:

I can't practice presentations before I do them.

Whether they're in English or ASL, I can't.

I've just never been able to focus.

But the day before the presentation,

I was so nervous and scared.

I kept thinking, "What if I make mistakes?"

"What if I suck?"

"What if everyone hates me?"

"What if someone wants to meet me in the parking lot and beat me up?"

But it was fine.

I was the first one to present.

First, there was an interview with Leah Katz-Hernandez.

Then I was the first to present because

I had to fly back to North Carolina.

More on that later.

Really, the presentation went great.

Yes, I messed up at times. Yes, I signed some things incorrectly.

Sometimes, I forgot what I wanted to say.

But, still, it went well.

When I finished, I left the stage and I started crying.

They were happy, but also nervous tears.

I was happy that I actually did that.

I was really happy.

People came up to me and asked me if I was okay.

And I'm like, "I'm fine! I'm just happy!"

People said I did a good job and they enjoyed the presentation.

And I would give a lot of thank yous.

Looking back now, I'm thinking that I should have said this, said that.

But for my first presentation in ASL, I think I did pretty okay.

On Thursday, I drove to Greensboro

to UNCG (University of North Carolina at Greensboro)

to do another presentation there.

This gig was booked before the gig booked in DC.

And it's funny because I was scared of the gig in DC,

but the Greensboro presentation was an hour!

And then there was a one hour social.

The UNCG presentation was about my life growing up mainstreamed.

It was called From Mainstreamed To In-between.

It's the same story I've been telling repeatedly.

But telling it was different this time because I had to tell it live in ASL.

I can't edit this.

I can't start over-

Well, okay.

I could, but it's not the same as doing this in a YouTube video.

But the presentation was really fun!

I finished faster than I thought I would,

but it was really fun and I wanted to do it again!

Just like in DC, I wanted to do it again.

I think doing the presentation at the university was easier because

I and the attendees were around the same age.

In DC, a lot/most of them were older.

So I was less nervous at UNCG.

If I'm being honest, before I started,

I asked the audience, "How many of you are hearing, how many deaf?"

Most of the audience turned out to be hearing.

When I found that out, I had the sudden instinct to change to voicing.

I'm used to voicing, obviously.

I was thinking that since most were hearing, voicing would just be easier,

but, no, I stuck with it.

I told myself that I would sign for this presentation.

And I did exactly that.

And it was all good.

I made people laugh.

It was a great time.

The social was also great.

And now I am very tired.

I am so very, very tired.

I'm feeling a little sick, especially in my throat.

Unfortunately, I'm not finished yet.

Next week, I'm flying to Orlando for Playlist Live.

I'll be doing a workshop about disability and accessibility online and offline.

People asked if the other presentations were filmed.

There were people that filmed both.

I have to wait for those files.

When I get the files, I will try to upload them as soon as possible.

It really was a great experience.

I'm happy I tried.

If you're asking, "Why did you sign in presentations sooner?"

I was always worried about making mistakes and people not understanding me.

I have conversations in ASL often, but

presentations just feel entirely different.

In future presentations, if I'm comfortable with using ASL for the topic,

I'm going to try to use ASL for those.

It was a good experience.

Before you go, if you came here from Shane Dawson and Molly Burke,

thank you for being here.

There's a lot of new subscribers now.

Wow.

Thank you, I appreciate it.

Thanks for watching. I'll see you later.

Acceptance And Commitment Therapy│How To Handle Anxiety│ACT - Duration: 9:30.

so ACT really came out of behavioral therapy she had behavioral therapy where

you change behavior by engaging in behavior so his behavior therapist

would figure out a behavior you wanted to change they would give you

homework you would do things this is where a lot of your if you had phobias

you would be exposed to things you would get reinforced for it so it came out of

behavior therapy but it added a little bit of an existential peace which i

think is fun so the existential peace is kind of why are we here so it's not

enough to say hey we know the tools to change behavior let's change behavior

this way but what is that existential piece of why are we here what are we

working for what are our values so it's also an acceptance plus a

commitment to action so at its core you accept what is out of your personal

control and then you commit to actions in line with your values you do this

through promoting psychological skills to deal with thoughts so that's where

your mindfulness component comes from and then the values which is clarifying

what is meaningful to us brief history of act 3 waive behaviorism the first the

focus on operant classical conditioning the second wave in the 70s was more of a

focus on thoughts and a focus on cognitive behavior therapy and rational

emotive behavior therapy so this is when Beck and Ellis came on the scene and you

see a lot of cognitive therapies so let's talk about irrational thoughts and

how irrational sause create emotions and if we replace irrational thoughts or

thoughts that don't serve us with more adaptive proactive thoughts then we'll

see changes in our emotions and how we feel and then some would say that the

third wave which is right about now is adding accepted acceptance and

mindfulness in addition to traditional behavior intervention so some would

describe act as being part of radical behaviorism so in radical behaviorism

everything an organism does its behavior thinking feeling remembering all forms

of behavior all are important I really like Oprah she interviewed brené Brown

she is now she wrote a book called daring greatly it's really good book and

she basically is a qualitative researcher in the human sciences she was

really interested in just the human experience so all her team does is

interview people and try and find themes based on human

period so she interviewed people with grief and there was this one example

that she used where this husband described losing his wife they spent

their whole life together and he said I was always afraid of losing her that

even when we had moments of joy I would kind of step back and be like oh my god

one day I could lose her and he said and then I lost her

so all over the time of worrying about that didn't prevent me from losing her

but it also didn't make the pain any less so she used the phrase which I love

dress rehearsed tragedy so sometimes we as humans think if we dress rehearse in

our minds we visualize it we practice it that when we experience it it won't hurt

as bad and it's probably not the case but that's an example of how regardless

of what's going on just the internal workings of your mind

the goal of act is psychological flexibility right and then there are six

core principles the first the present being in contact with the present and

not being in the future or stuck in the past

the second is values so you know what your values are you know why you're here

you know what the meaning is not to say that won't change tomorrow that's okay

but you know the direction you're going in and a lack of direction is the

opposite of that committed action towards moving towards your goals and

the opposite is being stuck the self as context rather than the self as content

diffusion which the opposite is cognitive fusion and acceptance which

the opposite is experiential avoidance so the Tiger example is if you imagine

a baby tiger in your house cute little baby tiger and he's hungry right and

you're afraid of them and you don't want him to bite you so you feed him then

he's hungry again you're afraid of them you don't want them to bite you see you

feed him and you keep going back to the fridge and you keep feeding them what's

happening to the tiger he's getting big he's still hungry and then eventually

you go in the fridge you don't have anything left except yourself

right so then you're no longer acting in line with your values because you're

feeding the tiger or you're feeding the anxiety yours so the only way you can

control that anxiety tiger is by staying home in your house locked up and feeding

it then that may be a time where you would want to practice more acceptance I

just think that what we have to do is try to make sure you feel safe enough

that you can mate in the state when I would say pushing the envelope it's more

about taking small risks that are really not comparing yourself to other people

in the room but it's comparing yourself your previous actions and small steps

that you think it's really about feeling safe and creating a poner where you feel

comfortable making some mistakes and as long as they're in line with the values

behavioural principle and your family and and the best interest of the learner

is reserved everyone here knows like Macy's because then your intentions

are in the right direction and it's okay they can make some mistakes because it's

it it's encouraged and if it goes in line with the value so I I really feel

like you know life is risky you know not going to get out of the fly but yeah

you're you're really never going to accomplish anything innovative or change

lives massively or do anything within your values unless you take those risks

so just being comfortable to take the risk I think it's really important I

hope you won't feel the level of safety to be able to take some some risks and

that's you know leaving the house is one I mean there are days just leaving the

house I think you yeah help others identify their uncomfortable processes

so what they may be doing a lot of parents we deal with main facts engaging

in unhelpful processes because that's what they've learned to do to keep the

train running right so being able to identify with them you think if you

understand if you're able to understand the parents values from a behavior

analytic standpoint then you understand their reinforcement so if you understand

their reinforcers it gives you an opportunity to have them act on your

suggestions right so you're understanding what parents care about

and I think sometimes we get too rigid with rules and we just had a discussion

last night about you know the funding source saying no you know you can't be

alone with the kid at all this and that and I said look if if the parent values

a couple of moments of silence to themselves and that's the big reinforcer

I'm not talking about all-out rest of it I'm talking about 10 minutes to

themselves if that's what they value more than anything and you take the

learner and you work with them and you you know that that's what valuable to

the parent you can use that to engage them one step at a time because then

you've paired yourself with their values I just think we have to be flexible that

way that's one application I would think oh I love that quote yeah when you know

their values you know their reinforcers

Alegría | BEST Moments Announcing the Return of an Icon | Cirque du Soleil - Duration: 2:37.

We let out the secret, we're super excited.

This is something that's been in a lot of people's minds for a long time.

A lot of people have asked us to bring a show back,

I don't think that happens very often and to be able to confirm today

that you know, Alegría is actually coming back next year, really great news.

That's precisely what we were concerned about, talking about change,

change of power, the structure, youth versus wisdom,

not old age, that doesn't exist, but wisdom.

There are many signs in Alegría

that are evocative of that change.

The set's structure is a structure of force, control, power.

Those are all the things we were trying to evoke, to suggest.

I think young people will see it and think, "Oh my God,"

it's so timely

because it could have been a story, so you think,

"Oh my God, it was set in a certain time, but not really,"

and I think that's what makes Alegría so powerful.

So when you think, OK, there's this critical mass of people

who want to see the show again, and, what do you know, it's been 25 years.

It's like so many things happened and the planets aligned

and you tell yourself, yes, it's the right moment to do this.

a lot of hiding places and that made the iguanas right away they were alerting

a little bit they come and hide and what happened with that then the iguanas

they would hardly be able to get used to to us if we always

We approached the terrarium hide now we have changed we have

put this hollow trunk even if it's hollow it does not matter because

difference from before as they throw to run on the one hand for how they are for

leave immediately for the other or at least I think so

if we do not change and we will put others that we have because we wanted to try this

so that in any case they have a lightweight hiding good light very good

Best Way to Stop Controlling Everything (Life is Working for You) - Duration: 9:31.

Do you find that you're constantly overthinking things and trying to control everything in

your life?

Hi, I'm Christina Marlett, the creator of Courageous Self-Care and today I'm going to

show you how to release that control and learn how life is working for you.

For the best advice on how to practice strategic self-care that goes beyond bubble baths, chocolate,

and wine, be sure to subscribe to the channel and hit the bell to be notified when a new

video is released each Thursday.

If you know that you have a tendency on overthinking things and trying to control different parts

of your life, by the end of this video, you'll learn how to not stress so much about what

other people are thinking about you and how you can trust in yourself.

I've used this process with so many of my private clients and with my group coaching

clients, with tremendous success.

Now it's your turn.

Be sure to stick around until the end of the video.

I've created a really amazing resource for you that's going to show you how to stop feeling

so drained.

Okay step number one is to notice what you are controlling.

I used to be someone who thought all the time about everything and tried to control every

part of my life.

I had a t-shirt that said, "Think," and it had a big brain neuron on it, and I remember

my dad saying to me once, "You're always thinking aren't you?"

And I thought, "Yes, I am," and I was so proud of myself.

Then when I started doing personal development, I learned that thinking is not so good for

you if you're overthinking and ruminating, and playing negative situations over and over,

which I had a tendency to do.

Then I got a t-shirt that said, "Don't think.

Don't think.

Don't think.

Don't think.

Don't think."

Then I got rid of those t-shirts, and decided to trust myself.

I also tried to control everything.

I tried to control my emotions.

I only wanted to share the sunny happy ones.

I tried to control what other people were thinking about me.

I tried to control situations and I spent so much energy trying to have all this control,

when really, truthfully, we don't have all that much control, especially about what other

people think of us.

When I dug a little bit deeper, I realized that I had a fear of people thinking that

I wasn't professional or that I didn't know what I was doing.

This was as a brand new teacher, over a decade ago.

I wanted people to see me as their equal, and so I had this pristine image that I wanted

to maintain.

I didn't end up being very vulnerable.

I wasn't authentic.

I hid a lot.

That goes a lot with controlling.

Step number one is you want to figure out what it is that you're controlling.

Step number two, controlling and overthinking embodiment exercise.

Now since I am an embodiment coach, I like to get my clients to experience things, not

just with their minds, but also with their bodies and their emotions and their spirit.

That is the art of embodiment, and so I'm going to invite you to participate in this

embodiment exercise as well.

It's mindful movement, and there are two different things you need to think about while you do

it.

I certainly encourage you to participate.

Number one is to notice how your body is showing up in this exercise, and number two is to

notice what thoughts are coming up for you.

Not to try to stop them, but just to notice, because they're going to give you some great

information.

Now this is probably going to expand your comfort zone, so I invite you to play along.

Don't overthink it, just do it and enjoy.

Please stand up.

Okay here we are standing up.

Not overthinking, letting go of the judgment and the control.

Put your feet just under your hips, under your shoulders, and you're going to start

to move your hips side to side.

Now go a little faster, and a little bit faster.

As fast as you can go.

Okay and now being curious about all the different ways you can move your pelvis, shake it around.

Okay and stop.

Take a deep breath.

In through your nose and out through your mouth, and have a seat.

Now my first question is, did you actually get up and do the exercise or did you just

watch me do it?

That's saying something about how you're living your life.

The way you do anything is the way you do everything, so if you jumped in and participated,

super secret bonus points for you.

Way to go.

If you didn't do it, just ask yourself why.

Become curious about that.

Now if you did do it, your body likely gave you some interesting information.

It might of been difficult to get yourself to move.

You might of noticed all sorts of different things, but also noticing your thoughts.

When we are expanding our comfort zones, often our thoughts are the ones that show up that

limit us on a regular basis.

I invite you to share what you noticed in this embodiment exercise in the comments below,

and don't be shy.

One of the first things to do when you were learning to release control is to be vulnerable,

share what's going on for you, so please do that in the comments now.

Step number three, release control in one area.

We just played with releasing control in one physical area.

If you're anything like me and most of the people I work with, well probably 100% when

we start to move our pelvis, we realized that we can't take life seriously.

There's just something funny about wiggling our hips and our booties around.

That is an indication of the joy and freedom that lies behind releasing that control.

I invite you over the next week to choose one area where you can release control.

Maybe it's your emotions.

Maybe it's wearing something that actually represents who you are.

Maybe it's letting go of how the towels hang on the racks in your house.

Wherever you feel like you're being limited by controlling and overthinking, play with

that one area.

Become curious of how you can not stress so much, not over think it, and being lighter

and more playful.

Now you know three easy steps to help you let go of control.

I also mentioned that I had a free resource for you, so holding on to control and overthinking

things, as I mentioned before, is one way that a lot of people tend to drain their energy

leaving them exhausted.

There are nine other ways that I've identified that we can drain our energy without really

being aware of it, and so I created a free resource for you.

It's called The Top 10 Energy Drains Mini Course.

First of all, you'll find out what those top 10 energy drains are that are secretly draining

away energy without being aware of it, and then I give you solutions, very strategic

solutions so that you can flog up those drains and start having more energy than you've ever

had before.

It really works incredibly well.

You can get access to this mini course using the link in the description below.

Also, I would love to invite you to join the Courageous Self-Care Facebook community.

It's a private group filled with like minded women who are on this journey to practice

self-care beyond bubble baths, chocolate, and wine without the guilt and with courage.

Please do join us there.

I would love to see you.

If you like this video, please give it a like, leave a comment, and share it with your friends.

Be sure to tune in next week when I will be sharing the biggest mistake people tend to

make when they're trying to live their life on purpose.

Thank you so much for watching today.

I'm Christina Marlett, creator of Courageous Self-Care, and your self-care coach.

I look forward to connecting with you again next time.

Bye bye for now.

Oh hang on a second.

Did you see last week's video?

It was this really amazing forgiveness practice I use, called Ho'oponopono.

It's a Hawaiian healing practice.

If you missed it, you can watch it by clicking the link on the screen now.

Okay, I'm really going now.

Bye bye.

Small Details You Missed In The Ant-Man And The Wasp Trailer - Duration: 9:09.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are still reeling from the events of Avengers:

Infinity War.

Its cataclysmic climax instantly reshaped the landscape of the decade-old franchise,

and left countless questions about how Earth's Mightiest Heroes can possibly go on.

Fortunately, mere days after Infinity War's theatrical premiere, Marvel has come to our

emotional rescue with some sorely needed, lighthearted adventure in the form of Ant-Man

and the Wasp.

The story might be much smaller in scale, but it still promises to be jam-packed with

action and adventure.

While the trailer is full of big can't-miss moments … like a size-shifting car chase

and a...giant ant playing the drums? … it's also got some teeny-tiny subtle things you

might have missed.

So grab your magnifying glass as we take a closer look at the small details of the trailer

for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

When are we?

While Infinity War brings together just about every Marvel hero yet seen on-screen, there

were two conspicuous and absences: Hawkeye, and Ant-Man.

It was briefly explained in the movie that the absent Avengers had accepted a house arrest

deal with the government as a result of their outlaw activities during the events of Captain

America: Civil War.

Rather than being outlaw Avengers, Barton and Lang opted to stay close to their kids.

To lead up to the new trailer, Marvel released a cheeky video of the Infinity War stars speculating

about where Ant-Man may have been during Thanos' invasion.

The trailer does give us a hint, with Scott's daughter, Cassie, asking how long he's been

back to being Ant-Man, to which Scott replies, "not long."

We can assume, then, that it's been a while since Civil War, and that Scott Lang has been

out of action for some time.

More than that, the world we see here is obviously not yet dealing with the world-shattering

power of the Infinity Gauntlet, so it seems likely that Ant-Man and the Wasp takes place

sometime before Infinity War.

A new anthill

The cozy room where Scott and Cassie talk is one we've never seen before.

In the first Ant-Man, Scott was fresh out of prison and sharing a tiny apartment with

three fellow ex-cons, while Cassie lived comfortably with her mother, Maggie.

Cassie's old room was left in shambles after the climactic size-changing, Thomas-the-Tank-Engine-throwing

battle with Yellowjacket.

With Scott lounging in a robe and boxes still unpacked, it seems Cassie's makeshift attic

room could be in his house.

Not only does this suggest continued growth and healing in the Lang family dynamic, it

indicates that Scott has upgraded his home.

It's possible Hank Pym has taken in his protégé, since the house that doubled as Ant-Man's

headquarters was pretty spacious.

At any rate, if Scott's heroic deeds have landed him under house arrest, it's comforting

to know he's at least been confined to a nice house.

Young Avenger

Scott explains to Cassie that falling back into his Ant-Man antics "just sort of happened,"

and his enthusiastic daughter replies that she wishes she could also fight bad guys like

her dad.

Not only is this a nice father/daughter moment, it could prove to be some pretty significant

foreshadowing.

In the comics that she comes from, Cassie's wish comes true.

In the comics, a teenage Cassie Lang begins secretly experimenting with her father's stash

of Pym Particles.

Eventually, she finds she can change size just like him, though her powers are linked

to her emotional state.

She takes on the superhero name of Stature and joins the Young Avengers team.

Ant-Man and the Wasp finds actress Abby Ryder Forston returning three years after portraying

Cassie in the first Ant-Man.

Intriguingly, however, teenage actress Emma Fuhrmann has joined the cast of 2019's fourth

Avengers movie, and is rumored to also be playing Cassie alongside Forston.

Not only does this report hint at a potential time-travel solution to the problems caused

by Infinity War, it suggests that Marvel does indeed have big plans for Cassie.

X-Con

Scott's likable criminal roommates Luis, Dave, and Kurt stole the show in the first Ant-Man,

providing some of the movie's funniest moments and proving indispensable in a heist.

The new trailer reveals that in their continuing efforts to go legit, the trio has started

X-Con, a start-up home security business dedicated to using their criminal expertise to make

their clients' homes burglar-proof.

The trailer's brief glimpse of the X-Con office reassures us that just because they're legitimate

businessmen, our favorite robbers haven't forgotten how to live large.

Their workspace is classed up with a cozy aquarium and a record player accompanied by

a large collection of vinyl albums.

We wouldn't expect anything less from Luis … that guy has good taste.

"I was at a wine tasting with my cousin Ernesto.

It was mainly reds, but you know I don't like reds, man, but there was rose that saved the

day, it was delightful."

Business Brunch with Burch

While he doesn't speak in his appearance, the trailer provides our first look at Walton

Goggins as Sonny Burch, seen stealing the suitcase-sized Pym building.

It's unclear from the trailer who Burch works for or what he's after, though in the comics

he's a weapons contractor who's been allied with Ant-Man nemesis Darren Cross and Iron

Man rival Obadiah Stane.

Since both of those villains have already shown up and been dealt with in the MCU, Burch's

allegiance is anyone's guess.

What we can surmise, however, is that Hope Van Dyne tries to settle a dispute with Burch

amicably, and it doesn't go well.

A brief shot in the trailer shows the Wasp strolling calmly away from him in a restaurant,

only to crash through the establishment's kitchen moments later for a knife-throwing,

tomato-smashing fight scene.

Quantum questions

According to Luis, part of the movie's plot involves an intangible villain named Ghost,

who stole some of Hank Pym's powerful tech after he began venturing into the Quantum

Realm … also known in the comics as the Microverse.

We get a quick look at this subatomic world, and at least one of the two Ant-Men exploring

its surreal wonders in a superpowered vehicle.

This quest into the quantum space was set up in the first Ant-Man movie, with Scott

going subatomic to stop Yellowjacket.

His successful return to normal size raised some important questions for Hank, whose wife

Janet … the original Wasp … heroically sacrificed herself during the Cold War, becoming

lost in the Quantum Realm.

But as the first movie revealed, a ride to the Quantum Realm isn't necessarily one-way.

If Ant-Man and the Wasp discover a way to travel into and out of the tiny netherworld,

it could have implications for the entire MCU … perhaps even providing a way to defeat

Thanos.

Where's Janet?

The Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer continues to play coy about the arrival of a fan favorite

character to the MCU.

In the comics, Janet Van Dyne was a founding member of the Avengers, and even gave the

team their name.

As the only female member of the original lineup, the character filled an important

role in Marvel history, and fans have been waiting patiently these ten long years for

her to soar onto the silver screen.

Janet almost made it to the first Avengers movie in 2012, but that plan fell through

during rewrites.

Three years later, Ant-Man further teased Wasp fans by banishing her to the Quantum

Realm, and merely promising that her daughter Hope would eventually pick up the mantle.

We know that Michelle Pfeiffer will play Janet in Ant-Man and the Wasp, and though the new

poster features her prominently, the trailer is still saving this long-delayed debut for

later.

Or is it?

There are a couple of super-quick shots that might just hint at Janet's presence.

First, as Ant-Man drifts through the Quantum Realm, something streaks past him in a blur.

Later, Wasp can be spotted jumping into a fistfight wearing not Hope's new suit, but

what appears to be Janet's old one, as seen in the first movie's flashback.

Who is Goliath?

The trailer ends with our first introduction to Laurence Fishburne's character, Dr. Bill

Foster.

Though Fishburne was announced for the role of Foster in 2017, the trailer is our first

confirmation that the character's history as Goliath will also make it to the screen:

He mentions the name in regards to his past with Pym before getting into a bit of a size

debate with Lang.

Goliath is a name with some interesting comics lineage, having been used not only by Hank

Pym but Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, too.

In the comics, Bill Foster was introduced as Pym's lab assistant in the '60s, making

him one of Marvel's first prominent black characters.

A decade later, he would use the Pym Particles to his own advantage, becoming the third person

to fill the oversized boots of Goliath, briefly becoming known as "Black Goliath" in a self-titled

solo series.

We don't know yet whether we'll see Foster suit up as Goliath in Ant-Man and the Wasp,

but we can be sure the movie will continue to expand the history of Marvel's super-scientists.

So move over, Iron Man.

How Liver Problems Can Lead to Brain Disease - Duration: 5:26.

[INTRO ♪

Your brain works together with the rest of your body in lots of different ways.

If things go wrong with some organs, like if your heart stops pumping,

your brain's obviously going to have a bad time.

But sometimes the connection is a little less straightforward.

Take the liver, for example: you need it for things like filtering blood,

storing vitamins, and lots of other processes that keep you alive.

So, basically, what happens in the liver doesn't stay in the liver.

And an issue there can cause a chain reaction across your body

that seriously affects your brain.

Patients with many kinds of liver damage or disease

can develop a condition called hepatic encephalopathy, or HE.

Hepatic refers to the liver, and encephalopathy means

brain disease, damage, or malfunction.

Physicians think of HE as a spectrum of symptoms that can affect personality,

movement, cognition, and even levels of consciousness.

They can range from mild, like mood swings, to severe, like a coma.

And HE is mainly caused by substances that build up

when the liver stops working as well as it should.

In a healthy liver, chemicals from the rest of the body

are filtered out of the blood and broken down by specialized cells and enzymes.

If the liver becomes damaged, like from certain drugs, a bad diet,

or some other kind of injury or disease, the tissue changes structure and gets all scarred.

This scar tissue isn't able to function like normal liver cells.

Plus, all those structural changes make it harder for blood to get in for detoxification.

And in really severe cases, a lot of blood may bypass the liver entirely.

One important toxin your liver deals with is ammonia,

which mostly comes from the digestion of proteins in your gut.

Ammonia gets turned into urea, which is excreted in pee.

So a damaged liver can lead to a buildup of ammonia in the bloodstream,

which is bad news for the brain.

Ammonia can cross the blood-brain barrier, which is a membrane

that blocks a lot of molecules in your bloodstream

from circulating around your brain, to protect it from potential damage.

Once ammonia slips past, it's mostly taken up by astrocytes,

which are brain cells that help out neurons in a lot of different ways.

And astrocytes have enzymes that convert ammonia

into the amino acid glutamine to help protect the neurons.

If they do this too much, though, studies have found that their structure gets messed up.

Cell-damaging molecules called free radicals get produced,

and their mitochondria stop working as efficiently,

which means they can't make as much energy.

As the astrocytes lose function, they stop getting rid of ammonia,

and everything gets even more messed up.

Too much ammonia can affect the storage, production,

and use of neurotransmitters across the whole brain.

In other words, your neurons can't really communicate,

which can cause a whole range of problems with mood, movement ... pretty much anything.

Even though ammonia is a significant part of HE, other toxins might be involved too.

And researchers are still figuring out exactly what they are

and how they might make HE worse.

Besides waste products like ammonia, your liver also has a huge impact

on how long lots of drugs— from aspirin to LSD—

stay in your system before they're flushed out.

A healthy liver takes drug molecules from your bloodstream

and converts them into different chemicals.

Sometimes they're the active form of a drug,

but eventually they become more water-soluble compounds that can be peed out.

To do this, it mostly uses a system of enzymes known as

the cytochrome p450 family, which may be responsible

for up to 75% of drug metabolism.

So if a disease damages liver cells or directly interferes with these enzymes,

things can go sour.

Even just as we age naturally, the activity of

cytochrome p450 enzymes seems to dip.

Slower drug metabolism can mean a normally fine painkiller,

like acetaminophen, may build up until it hits toxic levels.

This can lead to more damage, and eventually we're right back to hepatic encephalopathy.

Now some brain diseases are linked to toxic substances

that some people intentionally put in their bodies,

which their livers have to process—like ethanol from alcoholic drinks.

Basically, in the process of breaking down ethanol,

the byproducts can cause tissue damage and trigger inflammation.

And if your liver keeps getting damaged, it won't be able to handle ethanol as well.

It's a vicious cycle.

It turns out that too much ethanol can affect your cells' ability to take up,

store, and use thiamine, also known as vitamin B1, from your diet.

Some enzymes that depend on thiamine are a key part of glycolysis,

a process your body uses to break down glucose molecules and make energy.

So a lack of thiamine can limit the amount of energy your body can get from food.

And since the brain is basically an energy-hungry monster, that is a recipe for disaster.

And it can lead to Korsakoff syndrome, one of the lesser-known diseases that affects memory.

Patients find themselves basically frozen in time,

with retrograde and anterograde amnesia.

So they can't recall large chunks of their past, or form new memories going forward.

Specifically, in patients' MRIs, we've seen shrinking in the medial thalamus,

mammillary bodies, and nearby areas—which are all linked with memory.

With treatments aimed at getting thiamine and other nutrient levels

back to normal, many Korsakoff's patients can at least partly recover.

But, basically, if you want to keep your brain in tip-top condition,

remember to take good care of the rest of you as well.

And take special care of your liver—just a good ol' ... wherever it is.

RUSSIANS REACT TO PUERTO RICAN MUSIC | Calle 13 - Latinoamérica | REACTION - Duration: 6:48.

You all asked us to react to Calle 13 - Latinoamerica

Good, Latin America then

About the whole continent. Let's listen

The guys are from Puerto Rico I think

Let's see, maybe they will show some landscapes

Something interesting

They're going on a journey

It looks like our villages in Dagestan

OMG scary. Is that a heart?

It's probably about life of all people of Latin America

They are of different nationalities

They are all different

The song is probably about unity

About lives of people, about how they live in different countries

It sounds like rap -A little bit

But not hard rap

They went to some province

They showed a boxer

A woman is singing

I like it... especially the chorus

Dollar... it's probably about bad American influence

Beautiful masterpiece

Kids

Noble woman

And worker, kids in school

We can't understand but they have different accents in all those countries

See, some people work, some people do something else

There was a boxer again

They plant potatoes, give birth to kids

What a great woman

Such a lady

Maybe that's not them singing... or maybe I'm wrong

I like the chorus a lot... it's soulful

See, they make fresh juice

Yeah, wish we had subtitles. There's probably so much meaning

It's about their life and how they live -I think I just saw Cuba

Trabajo means work

He's probably saying they work hard

Those are probably their missing or gone relatives

They live, they give birth to kids, they grow up

There are so many of them

And they're all different

That heart scares me

The land is pulsating and living

The Latin American land -Yes

Great video, amazing

Everyone has a different life but they are all from Latin America

Amazing video, I love it

I wish we knew the translation

Well, I could understand it by the video

There are so many people there and they are all different

The life is hard

They showed fishermen, village residents, kids in school

There is actually a video with English subtitles

We can listen to the chorus

Okay, tell me what they say

He's talking about Maradona, 2 goals...

About mountains

Ok, I want the chorus

It says "Even with broken legs we still go forward"

See, they go through struggles in life

You can't buy wind, you can't buy sun

You can't buy rain, you can't buy warmth

You can't buy happiness, you can't buy my pains

Great, so awesome. Very very soulful

Yeah, and the meaning is good

And the video is really good too

I wonder if they went to every single country to film there?

Probably

It would take a lot of time and money

Maybe they took clips from other videos

Maybe. Or someone sent them footage

Good video

Serial Maker Fits a PCNC 440 into His NYC Basement - Duration: 4:51.

Here at Tormach we love to tell your stories. So here's Mike Dubno in New York

City, who's making a little bit of everything,

including some unique automata. I've always liked the idea of being able to

get a machine to do something, and so I had a computer very early on, before IBM

pcs, and things like that. And I actually took stepper motors, and I wrote stepper

motor drivers. I built my own. And I took my sisters Smurfs, and I put him on the

stepper motors, and got them to animate. And the natural progression for that was

actually start machining. So I started off with tiny little machines, like a

little Shureline, and that was good. it did what it needed to do but it wasn't

big enough for what I needed. And then I got a Smithy that was good.

It was manual. I learned some tricks and then, what I really wanted to do is build

much more sophisticated machines. Sophisticated shapes. And the machine

that I chose was a Tormach because it had the right price point, and also was

able to get down the stairs into my basement. Everybody has a story of how

their workshop came to be. And usually it is a theft of space that somebody else

wanted to use. Usually a spouse. For me, part of buying this house, the intrigue

and the actually the impetus for buying it, was when the inspector came and looked

at the electrical panel, saw a 400 amp service and said you could run a machine

shop down here. And this was unprompted. Now this house is not outside of New

York City. It is right next to Central Park. It is not a natural place where a

machine shop is, or has been, or anyone would think naturally about that, but for

some reason the guy during the inspection used that term. That couldn't

have been more magical, and so I said, "okay, honey we have to now purchase the

house just because this is the logical place to put a machine shop." And the

problem of course is that there were only six foot ceilings at the time. There

was a wood beam running through. There were air-conditioning ducts running

through. And there was a fairly steep staircase to get stuff down. And so the

natural thing was to call Jimmy Diresta. Oh yeah. So Jimmy and Dave Welder came,

luckily on Thanksgiving. My brother came. My son came.

And I did management of the project. Well they all figured out how to get it down

the stairs. I claimed sickness, which I did have but, but they still had to do

all the work. The reason why I build machines, is that I actually like taking

things that are normally inanimate and seeing what happens if I actually just

add some artificial intelligence, some robotics, some idea of motion to it. Maybe

showing some information, or something like that.

In the case of the sand table, for example, there's a regular coffee table,

but it springs to life, and draws something new every night. Right. At

parties it actually will draw all kinds of different things. The light show is

intriguing. That was built about 10, 12, years ago, and that was fairly unique at

the time. Tenta-Lux is a different thought process, which is take something

inanimate, like a light fixture, and maybe the light fixture can interact with its

surroundings. Maybe you do that by telling it what to do using something

like Amazon's Alexa. Cancel. Huh. Or maybe you do it by having it have a camera

system, and be aware of its environment and then interact with its environment.

And I could just see that that growing, and maybe it's intriguing. Maybe it will

help you people or maybe it's a waste of time, but the only way to find out is you

build one right now. You have a standard light fixture, but if you add a plate, it

will automatically light it, which is useful if you like to have plates on

your table. Magic. Take it away and one plate stands, well.

One of the reasons why I built it is because I have a CNC machine. And so,

whenever I get a new machine, I like to figure out what's a good fun project for

me to push my abilities. And so, I build something like the tentacle lamp. It

required lots of vertebra. And required some plates. Required some 3D type of

things, all which were possible to do a one-off type of part manually but almost

impossible to do unless you had an automated machine. And so every machine I

get I try to figure out what project that sort of inspires me to do. And

obviously a CNC machine like this inspires me to do a lot more. Thanks for

watching. Check out all of our latest videos here, and for more metalworking
