Work From Home Mom WAHM Shares: How to Build Confidence in Your Online Business - Duration: 10:23.

hey YouTube happy Thursday jessalyn here welcome back to my work from home mom channel

today's video we're gonna talk about confidence okay I get a lot of messages

on YouTube people that connect with me through social media and people don't

want to be a work from home mom they want to know how to make income every week by posting

ads online helping a market for a very reputable company and a lot of times I

will also get the question do I have to make videos like you do and there's an

answer to this question but it comes kind of in two parts okay the first

answer the first part of that answer is no you don't have to do anything okay

the beauty to starting your own business is that you can run it the way that you

want to I'm not your boss I can't tell you what to do nor am I going to try to

force you to do anything that you're not comfortable with doing however there is

a huge benefit to doing videos and that is that people get to see that you're a

real life person they get to connect with you they get to relate with you

they get to see a glimpse of your personality in your life right like I

put myself out there a lot I think sometimes a showcase you know the more

serious side and then other times you see me just acting like really really

silly but I am Who I am and I'm comfortable with who I am and I credit a

lot of that to online marketing the more that I did videos the more comfortable I

became with doing videos you can't become comfortable doing something

unless you actually do it right so over time I became more comfortable with

putting myself out there and doing videos and as a result of that my

business continued to grow it became more successful because people were able

to connect with me so I'm gonna encourage you at some point to do videos

most times people aren't comfortable doing them in the very beginning which I

totally get because I wasn't either but I do think that is something that you

work towards it's something that you have a you should have a willingness to

do because I really don't know of any successful online marketer or

entrepreneur that was able to achieve success without putting their face out

there so a lot of times if you really want to achieve the the success of an

online marketing business you're gonna have to push yourself outside of your

comfort zone which means you may eventually have to do videos

if you're already doing videos and you're comfortable doing videos just get

in contact with me because you could be making a lot of money online with a

company that I work for but moving on the part about confidence the part about

confidence that's are really really important is that and when you're

comfortable with who you are and you're secure with who you are then all the

haters and life just don't get to you and it's no way to live if you're stuck

in the prison of worrying of what other people think all the time that's no way

to live and I know we live in a world where people are like constantly

knocking each other down and criticizing each other more than they're building

each other up and it's such garbage but to be honest with you when you're in a

place where you're confident with who you are and you're secure with who you

are you know what your purpose is you're passionate about it then none of that

stuff gets to you and it's a really really great way to live in today's

video I'm gonna talk about confidence I'm gonna talk about how to build that

confidence if you're someone that doesn't have confidence in yourself and

you want to know how to do that I'm gonna give you some really simple tips

that hopefully will help you so just make sure you stay tuned

okay guys so let's get to the meat and potatoes let's talk about some things

that are gonna help you to start building your confidence the first thing

that I would recommend is that you should start each day with a grateful

heart so what does that mean to me that means you make a list you put a sticky

note on your mirror you put pictures in front of your face while you're drinking

your coffee and you jam out to some music on your drive to work and you

think and really resonate on the things that you're grateful for so three or

four things everyday really spend the first 20 minutes of your day thinking

about those things putting those things visually in front of your face whether

that's your family whether that's your kids whether it's your house your car

your pets your job whatever it is in your life that you are grateful for

resignate on that for the first part of your day for your morning because how

you start your day usually ends up determining how the rest of your day

goes right so if you're starting off really negative and grumpy the rest of

your days probably gonna stay negative and grumpy the second thing that I would

recommend and it's something that I'm not even perfect at but you should

exercise you should exercise you should take care of your body you should be

mindful of the things that you're eating and that you're drinking you know I lost

40 pounds last year and it made my confidence skyrocket I felt so much

better about myself and when you feel better about yourself and you are not

comparing yourself to everybody else that builds confidence when you like the

way that you look and you like the way that you feel that builds confidence so

even if you don't like exercising which I totally do not like exercising and I

did not exercise to lose the weight I was just very mindful about what I was

eating and how I was dieting and I was able to lose the weight that way but

just get active okay if you don't like cardio we're going to the gym dance

around in your kitchen get up off the couch okay and get active because the

more active you are the more you're building those endorphins the more

you're feeling better and the more confidence you're building the next

thing would be to starve the negativity and feed the positivity this is

something that you've got to get in the habit of doing every day and it is tough

because I'll tell you I used to be a very very

negative person believe it or not very very negative never saw the cup as you

know half-full it was always half-empty somebody would say something cheerful

and I'd be really really annoyed believe it or not it was not a very happy person

and you've gotta learn you gotta get in the habit of shutting those negative

thoughts out of your head when they start to creep in you just gotta shut

them up and shut them off because they just can consume you sometimes and one

of the biggest things that I can recommend that you do is be mindful of

who you're spending your time with they say that you are like the five people

that you spend most of your time with so if you're spending your time with

negative grumpy people that's probably gonna be that's gonna explain why you

might be negative and grumpy too if you're not hanging around people who are

confident in themselves then you are not going to be able to learn from them on

how to be confident yourselves a wonderful thing about online marketing

is that you are surrounded with people who are action takers they want more of

life they're encouraging they're inspired inspiring they are uplifting

and being surrounded by those positive people is really going to help you to

maintain a positive attitude every single day as well and with happy

thoughts comes confidence another thing that I would recommend is to make a goal

or make a couple of goals big or small and accomplish them each day

I mean seriously set goals for yourself and accomplish them so that could be

going grocery shopping like I totally hate grocery shopping because it is a

task especially with a two-year-old that's trying to climb in and out of the

car all the time it can be draining and exhausting and I don't love going to the

grocery store but when I do I feel accomplished refrigerators full I

provided food for the family and it just feels good so set a goal for yourself

whether it's cleaning your house or it is making your bed or it is going

through the whole day without saying a negative comment make a goal for

yourself every single day and accomplish that goal because when you feel

accomplished you are building your confidence another thing I would say is

to invest in some things that make you feel good and this doesn't mean go out

and be reckless and spend $500 on a shopping trip but this means every once

in a while take care of you self-care is not selfish

you cannot give away what you don't have to give away so you've got a

we be able to love yourself and be confident in yourself before you can

help other people love themselves and be confident with themselves so invest in

yourself okay spend time on yourself doing things that make you feel good if

you've got to go and get your toe nails done and that makes you feel good go do

it if you gotta go get a new shirt you know not like a eighty dollar shirt

maybe but let's say like a twenty dollar shirt

go do it whatever is gonna make you feel a little bit better if it's investing

into a ministry or a charity or doing volunteer work doing those things that

make you feel better about yourself are going to build your confidence and the

last thing that I would tell you is to get some self development books like

self development books really truly changed my whole perspective they

changed my mindset I didn't even know that self development books existed

until I started online marketing and two three that comes to mind would be

nothing to prove by Jenny Allen Restless by Jenny Allen and chase the lion by

Mark Patterson and these are Christian based self development books and they

are so empowering when you read them and you allow them to change your mindset

and change your perspective all of the little like little things in life like

the things that you would normally get really stressed out about just kind of

fade away like self development books really help you to realize that life is

so much more worth being miserable and being stuck in a position that you don't

want to be stuck in and being you know maybe financially strapped like these

books give you that inspiration that empowerment that you need and as they

help you to change your mindset and your perspective you become more confident I

hope all of these tips really really helps you out today hopefully they're

making sense I encourage you to implement them every single day write

them down implement them and really actively pursue doing these things to

build your confidence because not only is it gonna help you in business it's

gonna help you in life you know you don't need to be in fear of what people

think of you all the time you are never going to be able to please everyone I I

know that for a fact like I think i annoy people people love me and then I

annoy people and really it doesn't faze me or what I'm doing because I like

I'm passionate I'm passionate about what I do

3 Easy Ways to Add Ribbon to your Cards - Duration: 4:39.

Welcome to this episode of Ink It Up with Jessica TV. Today I'm going to show

you three easy ways to add ribbon to your cards.

The first way works really well for a thicker ribbon. Sometimes when you tie

these into a knot or a bow they add a lot of bulk to your cards so I like to

add them just straight across and this works really well when you

use a patterned paper. So this is a kind of layout that I use a lot with ribbon

and some patterned paper. This piece is 3 inches by 4 inches and

this piece is 4 inches by 5 and a quarter inches so it fits perfectly on

the front of a card. I'm just going to add some tape to this and show you how I get

this on the front of my card. And the reason that I do a full piece of white

is because it makes it just so much easier to center everything on your card

and to tie your ribbon around. So instead of just cutting a smaller piece of white

to fit on the top, I like to have a full piece behind then I just turn this over

and put a little tape right in the middle where this paper is so that I can

kind of cover the seam and then I just lay that across there and tuck the tail

ends behind and it sticks down to the tape that I just put on the back. If you

need help getting it straight you can use a grid paper. And then once you have

the tails tucked behind I'm just going to run some more adhesive. I want to run it

right over the tape so that's that, the tape right over the ribbon, so that it

stays stuck down and I just want to make sure this piece sticks to the front of

my card well.

And then you're just ready to add your main image or greeting. The second

way to easily add ribbon to your cards is to tie a faux knot because when you

tie a normal knot you're tying it twice, it adds a lot of bulk to your cards and

it makes it harder to mail. So for this one I've chosen a ribbon that's not too

stiff, it's pretty easy to tie in a knot and I've done the same thing I did with

my first ribbon. Is that I tucked the tails behind and taped it down. The paper sizes

are all the same. Then I'm going to take this piece and tuck it under my first

ribbon and tie it in a knot. I like to cut mine a little bit longer because

there's nothing worse than futzing with ribbon that you've cut too short. So give

yourself a little extra. Then I'm just going to pull that, you can kind of move it

as you need to along your ribbon till it's where you want it, pull it tight,

make it look nice how you want it to and then you're just going to trim the ends

with a nice sharp pair of scissors. And I do recommend that you have a separate

pair of scissors for your ribbon. Don't use the same scissors on your ribbon and

on your cardstock. So that's a second way that you can add ribbon easily to your

cards. The third way to easily add a ribbon to your cards is to actually wrap

the ribbon all the way around. So once again I'm starting with the same base

and I am just going to lay this on top of my ribbon. Now when I'm going to cut

my ribbon I just lay it out like this so that I have enough of a tail here to tie

in a knot and cut it there. Then you just tie it in a knot adjusting it as you

need to. People always ask me how do you tie your knots and I don't know how

to explain it, I just do it. So, and of course I think I do it better when I'm

not on video as most things.

Pull it tight and there's your knot. So same thing you just flip it over, you

want to make sure that you add enough tape so that it stays stuck

and I would put this on a card front and

then take my scissors and trim off the ends. So there you go! There are three

easy ways for you to add a ribbon to your cards. I hope that this video helped

you and if it did please give me a thumbs up down below and be sure to

subscribe to my channel so that you get notified whenever I have a new video.

Thanks so much for watching and happy stamping!

Jury SLAMS Testosterone Gel Maker For Millions - Duration: 7:07.

A federal jury's ordering AbbVie to pay $3 million to a man who nearly died after using

their famous testosterone enhancer, AndroGel.

The man's lawsuit is one among a thousand that claimed using testosterone drugs caused

either strokes or heart attacks.

The lawsuits also say the drug company deceptively marketed to men, knowing about the dangers.

Joining me to talk about this is attorney Wes Bowden, who tried the last case against

AbbVie.

Wes, what do we know about this case and why did the jury come to this verdict?

Let me preface it.

The last time you went to trial with them, a jury came back with $150 million for you.

Now, that case was retried, part of it was taken away.

Now you came back consistently another $3 million.

What's your take on what the jury's reacting to here?

Why are they so mad?

Well, we tried a few of these cases now.

What we're seeing is that these jurors get just absolutely angry, they're upset when

they see the deceptive marketing practices this company employed over the last 15 years.

This company didn't have anyone looking over their shoulder telling them to stop or forcing

them to stop, and when they didn't have anyone holding up a stop sign, they just ran and

they started promising men benefits which they had never proven and they were increasing

the risk for everyone to have heart attacks.

Yeah, well, when you tried this case, and I've been to trial with you in cases before.

You see the jury angry, and you know, sometimes they'll come back with a little bit of a punitive

damage.

In this case, the first time they came back with $150 million, second time they came back

with I think $140 million, this time $3 million.

That's right.

How many cases are they looking at still ahead, and why haven't they sat down and said, "Obviously

we've done something wrong."

Why haven't they sat down to talk about trying to resolve this for all of these cases?

What, are there about 7,000 similar cases around the country?

There are.

There's a lot of different testosterone manufacturers, there's 7,000 cases throughout the country.

3,500 of them are against AbbVie, and that's who we've been trying our cases against.

They're the market leader.

They've got 70% of the market prior to the label change in 2015.

You know, I think what it really boils down to is that their attorneys are telling them

that this isn't a case, and I would love to be in the board room when they sit back down

and say, "Look, the first trial which was $150 million, that was a fluke, don't worry

about it.

The second trial was $140 million, that was a fluke," that had to be a really tough sell.

Now they've come back again for a third time and have rendered a multimillion dollar award

against a company for a product which they had been consistently for the last decade

and a half telling people poses no risk and have said that, "Look, our playbook of having

going out there and convince doctors to sign up to prescribe this medication, it was all

above board."

You know Pap, there have been two findings of fraud in this case.

Fraud, not just negligence, but fraud.

What are the frauds?

Tell me what the frauds are.

Yeah, what they found here was that this company went out there and they made statements they

knew to be false, they knew to be misleading, all in an effort to get men to take this drug.

Who they made it to wasn't just people directly, and I'll tell you a little bit about their

marketing campaign to people, to people like you and I where we watch it on TV, but they

also went after their doctors.

They had this plan that they developed prior to this drug ever coming on the market, they

executed it brilliantly.

I mean, this company has really written the playbook.

I mean, they could teach tobacco a thing or two with just how great their marketing was.

Well, so what they did, I mean, if I got it right, first of all they phonied up some of

the material.

That's right.

Then after they phonied up some of the clinical data they then told people that, "We've done

all these studies and if you take this testosterone drug you're going to live longer, you're going

to be more vital, life is going to be good."

Tell us more about the fraud.

That's what I want to hear.

What happened in the fraud?

Give me some details.

Yeah so, what they did, you're exactly right.

They went out and they hired doctors, they called them key opinion leaders.

They phonied up the science and they set them out in front of CBS, in front of FOX News,

a lot of other stations out there to give the company's message that this drug was going

to lead people to have more energy, it was going to fix their sexual dysfunction, it

was going to improve their mood.

They had done studies internally and they couldn't show any of this.

In fact, what they did ...

Did the studies show just the opposite of all that, Wes?

In other words, this is so outrageous what I looked at, the studies show just the opposite

of what they were telling the public.

Did I get that right?

Their studies showed a lot of risk, I mean, real risk in terms of increasing plaque in

arteries, increasing the rate of heart attacks, increasing clots, really bad things.

What they didn't show as they're showing this increased risk, they didn't show that people

were getting a benefit.

They might show a little bit of a benefit here in terms of energy, but a lot of people

went down in energy on this.

It showed nothing more than simply a placebo effect.

What they did was they took this information and they tried to get it published.

When they went to these journals, these prestigious journals to get it published, the journals

rejected it.

They didn't just reject it and say, "Come back when you get more information."

They said, "Your science is so bad, this is junk science.

Don't even try to resubmit it to us."

They did that a couple of times and finally they would find some of these lower tier scientific

journals to get it published in, and they ran with that to a doctor and said, "Look

what we can do for your patients."

It was all false.

Well now, people have died because of this, if I get it right.

I mean, you've actually had people die because of an overdose.

That's right.

What I understand, and correct me if I'm wrong with this, but AndroGel, for example, it's

a gel that you apply dermal application and your body's supposed to absorb that, and part

of the problem was that people would use the same areas to apply it, it would build up,

the intake into the human body became so high that it would cause heart attacks or strokes.

The company, AbbVie had every reason to know that.

Give me the details around that.

Is that kind of how the problem surfaces for a person who uses AndroGel?

Well, yeah.

What happens is, is that testosterone, it's nothing new.

It's been around since the '50s.

People have been injecting it typically, historically.

All this company did was they took an old product, they turned it into a gel that you

could rub on your shoulders, kind of like a deodorant stick, and what would happen is

it would raise the testosterone level in your body.

Now, they have done studies now, studies that they have funded that came out as recently

as last year that show that as your testosterone level increases, so does your risk.

What they found was that men, after a year of being on this drug had additional plaques

in their arteries.

((MANDARIN)) He..

((MANDARIN)) Teacher

((MANDARIN)) This is my younger brother

((MANDARIN)) He's your student?

((MANDARIN)) Right, but lately he hasn't really been studying Chinese because he's busy with some other stuff

((MANDARIN)) What's your name?

**This guys spoke extremely low so it was difficult hearing him not only at the scene, but also while subtitling this video**

((MANDARIN)) My name is Mark

((MANDARIN)) Are you also from Taiwan?

((MANDARIN)) My father is from Taiwan, but my mother is from Mainland China

((MANDARIN)) What's your name?

((MANDARIN)) My English name is Jason

((MANDARIN)) What about you?

((MANDARIN)) My English name is Patrick

((MANDARIN)) My English name is Moses, but my Chinese name is mouse

((MANDARIN)) Nickname

((MANDARIN)) Nice to meet you

((MANDARIN)) I didn't start learning Chinese until I was 18 so....

((MANDARIN)) Now I'm...

((MANDARIN)) 3 months..

((MANDARIN)) 3 months?

((MANDARIN)) No, no...

((MANDARIN)) 3 years..

((MANDARIN)) I messed up...lol

((MANDARIN)) 3 years isn't bad

**I had to change my camera and battery before overheating**

**Time to move over to the other side of the room and get some more EXPs**

((RUSSIAN)) Do you speak Russian?

((RUSSIAN)) Yes, I can speak

((RUSSIAN)) You can also speak Russian

((RUSSIAN)) A little bit

((RUSSIAN)) I studied Russian for 5 years when I was at the university

((RUSSIAN)) Were you in Russia before?

((RUSSIAN)) Not yet?

((RUSSIAN)) OK

((RUSSIAN)) Difficult?

((RUSSIAN)) Do you think Arabic is difficult?

((RUSSIAN)) What does that mean?

((MANDARIN)) Hello

((MANDARIN)) Hello

((MANDARIN)) How are you today?

((MANDARIN)) How are you today?

((MANDARIN)) Are you drunk?

((MANDARIN)) Which part of China are you from?

((MANDARIN)) Right, but where at in China?

((MANDARIN)) I know

((MANDARIN)) Your pronunciation is very good

((MANDARIN)) Oh yea?

((MANDARIN)) You're being too nice

((MANDARIN)) Confucius said ''Three people walking one of them must be my teacher'' 'I can always be taught by someone'

((MANDARIN)) It's really....

((MANDARIN)) Oh yea

((MANDARIN)) How long have you been in America for?

((MANDARIN)) This is my 3rd year

((MANDARIN)) Oh, 3rd year?

((MANDARIN)) Right

((MANDARIN)) Two years...

((MANDARIN)) 3 Years ago...

((MANDARIN)) What's your impression of America?

((MANDARIN)) Generally speaking, yes

((MANDARIN)) It's hard to say

((MANDARIN)) It's OK

((MANDARIN)) It's not the same

((MANDARIN)) I feel that It's more open here

((MANDARIN)) Yes, you're right

((MANDARIN)) How do you say...We have an idiom for this which is...

((MANDARIN)) I don't know that idiom

((MANDARIN)) You could use Chinese to explain it to me

((MANDARIN)) That's very deep

((MANDARIN)) How long did you learn for?

((MANDARIN)) I don't study Chinese now, but when I first started I learned for about 3 years

((MANDARIN)) But after 6 months I was able to have conversations with Chinese people face to face

((MANDARIN)) You speak very well. Your pronunciation is so good

((MANDARIN)) My pronunciation?

((MANDARIN)) Right. Your pronunciation is very good

((MANDARIN)) Thank you

((MANDARIN)) Like for instance when foreigners speak Chinese they have a problem with the pronunciation due to the tones that we have in Chinese.

((MANDARIN)) But by practicing with Chinese people everyday you become accustomed to it

((MANDARIN)) My American name is Moses

((MANDARIN)) This is how Chinese people say it

((MANDARIN)) But my Chinese name is mouse

((MANDARIN)) Nickname

((MANDARIN)) It's a long story why my name is mouse though

((MANDARIN)) A long time ago I had a friend who came from Fujian

((MANDARIN)) At that time he introduced me to his parents and they wanted to know what my name was

((MANDARIN) So then I told them that my name is 'Moses' but they kept saying 'Moose'

((MANDARIN)) My friend then said ''Hey I have an idea. From here on out we're gonna call you mouse''

((MANDARIN)) At that time I didn't know

((MANDARIN)) At that time I didn't know because I didn't know how to speak Chinese at the time

((MANDARIN)) So I then asked him what laoshu meant

((MANDARIN)) He said 'mouse'

((MANDARIN)) Can we find another name?

((MANDARIN)) Usually that name mouse isn't a really good name

((MANDARIN)) I know, I know

((MANDARIN)) But for a nickname though...

((MANDARIN)) Well, for a nickname it isn't bad

((MANDARIN)) See when I was young my nickname was mouse ''Haozi''

((MANDARIN)) Haozi is the same as laoshu

((MANDARIN)) Right, the same

((MANDARIN)) Do you know how to speak any other languages besides Chinese?

((MANDARIN)) I was studying Spanish

((MANDARIN)) Unfortunately I don't have a use for it because I've mainly come here to focus on studying English

((MANDARIN)) You know China's exam

((MANDARIN)) I know

((MANDARIN)) It's very intense

((MANDARIN)) It focuses on our grammar ans speech

((MANDARIN)) I don't really have an opportunity to study it

((MANDARIN)) That's OK

((MANDARIN)) You still have a lot of time to study it

((MANDARIN)) I would like to learn Spanish then.....I know a little bit of French

((MANDARIN)) Say something for me

((FRENCH)) Hello

((MANDARIN)) I can just say some words

((MANDARIN)) That's fine

((MANDARIN)) Basically, I can't really speak. I can just say several words

((MANDARIN)) But you guys in China...

((MANDARIN)) Like uh..the dialects in China. For example in Beijing they have their own dialect.

((MANDARIN)) Right

((MANDARIN)) So, in your hometown do you have your own dialect as well?

((MANDARIN)) Yes. We have our own dialect

((MANDARIN)) Do you speak that as well?

((MANDARIN)) Of course

hahahahhaha

((MANDARIN)) Because see I'm from the south

((MANDARIN)) How should I say. You see in daily life we speak Mandarin, but we still have our very own dialect that we speak.

((MANDARIN)) The majority of people can speak Mandarin

((MANDARIN)) Those languages spoken in the south and the north are part of the same language family

((MANDARIN)) Like, people from Fujian and Guangzhou speak languages that are connected

((MANDARIN)) Hold on for a second, I will check the meaning of this word

((MANDARIN)) Their way of speaking

((MANDARIN)) It's a bit not the same

((MANDARIN)) The pronunciation of the people in the north is different. Certain words are enunciated very differently

((MANDARIN)) Taiwanese people are very similar to this

((MANDARIN)) For example, they would often say ''I want to eat''

((MANDARIN)) Nice to meet you

((MANDARIN)) I'm very glad to have met you

((MANDARIN)) Too cool

((MANDARIN)) Take care

((MANDARIN)) Are you Chinese?

((MANDARIN)) You speak Mandarin?

((MANDARIN)) I speak Mandarin

((MANDARIN)) I speak Mandarin and Cantonese

((MANDARIN)) Where are you from?

((RUSSIAN)) Greetings

((RUSSIAN)) Hello

((RUSSIAN)) How are you today?

((RUSSIAN)) I'm good

((RUSSIAN)) Well, of course, everyone should know two languages, yea?

ROLMFAOLOLOMFAOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

((RUSSIAN)) Where are you from?

((RUSSIAN)) I don't study Russian now, but a long time ago I had a very good teacher

((RUSSIAN)) How long ago?

((RUSSIAN)) Maybe...

((RUSSIAN)) 10 years

((RUSSIAN)) That's a long time

((RUSSIAN)) I'm not a student. I'm a teacher

((RUSSIAN)) Chinese and Japanese

((RUSSIAN)) Nice to meet you

((RUSSIAN)) What's your name?

((RUSSIAN)) My name is mouse

((RUSSIAN)) Nice to meet you

((RUSSIAN)) Mark

((RUSSIAN)) See you later

((HINDI)) Hello

((HINDI)) Hello

((HINDI)) Do you know any other languages?

((HINDI)) Just Telegu and Hindi?

((HINDI)) OK

((ARABIC)) OK

((ARABIC)) Nice to meet you

((ARABIC)) I like to learn languages

((ARABIC)) So I learn Arabic at home and I speak with Arabs

((ARABIC)) Who taught you Arabic?

((ARABIC)) I don't have a teacher

((ARABIC)) Computer

((ARABIC)) I speak with Arabs

''You're not CIA, are you?''

((ARABIC)) No

((ARABIC)) I swear to God

((ARABIC)) Do you speak any other languages?

((ARABIC)) I speak French

((ARABIC)) I speak English

((FRENCH)) What's new?

((FRENCH)) I'm learning French as well

((FRENCH)) Yes

((FRENCH)) People in Moroco speak French as well

((FRENCH)) Yes

((FRENCH)) I agree

((FRENCH)) Nice to meet you

((ARABIC)) Nice to meet you

((ARABIC)) What's your name?

((ARABIC)) My name is Ziad

((ARABIC)) My name is Moses

((FRENCH)) Moses

((ARABIC)) Beautiful

**Eric recites the Arabic alphabet**

((MANDARIN)) You guys are Chinese?

((MANDARIN)) Awesome

((MANDARIN)) Where are you from?

((MANDARIN)) Where are you from?

((MANDARIN)) I'm American

((MANDARIN)) Where were you in China?

((MANDARIN)) No, I haven't been

((MANDARIN)) Then how do you speak Chinese so well?

((MANDARIN))You're being too nice

((MANDARIN)) No

((MANDARIN)) You're not joking?

((MANDARIN)) No, I wouldn't joke about it. I'm serious

((MANDARIN)) How long have you guys been in America for?

((MANDARIN)) 3 years

((MANDARIN)) What's your major?

((MANDARIN)) OK

((MANDARIN)) Younger brother

((MANDARIN)) Don't be so shy

((MANDARIN)) You can join in on the conversation

((MANDARIN)) I'm self-taught

((MANDARIN)) Chinese is very hard to learn

((MANDARIN)) I know

((MANDARIN)) When I first started learning Chinese it was difficult

((MANDARIN)) I'm used to it now so..

((MANDARIN)) Were you in Hong Kong before?

((MANDARIN)) Where was I?

Solid Granny Square Crochet Tutorial - Duration: 15:56.

Hello everyone, thank you for joining me I'm Kerri. Today I'll be showing you how

to crochet this granny square. I made some of these squares and attached four

of my appliqués to enter in to a granny square design contest. I've used the squares to

make a blanket for a baby girl. In my last beginner tutorial I showed you how

to attach an appliqué to the granny square and in the next beginner tutorial

I'll show you how to crochet a border around the blanket.

Now the materials I'll be using are wool or yarn, a crochet hook and scissors. Now

I'm using 8 ply wool and a 2.5 millimeter crochet hook, but use

whatever you're comfortable with. Now for the granny square we start with four chain.

So we put our yarn under the other yarn. Put our yarn over the hook and just pull

it through, just like that. Then our yarn over and pull it through. That's a chain.

So four chain. Now we're going to join with a slip stitch into our first chain, which

is this one here. So we put our hook in, put our yarn over our hook and then pull

it through both our loops and we've made a little circle. Now we'll start with our

first row. We start with three chain which will count as our first double crochet. For a

double crochet we put our yarn over our hook, put the hook in to the circle, just

in like that and then we pick up a loop, just pull our yarn, hook over our yarn

and pull it through the circle. So we've got three loops on our hook. Then we put our

yarn around and through two loops, yarn around and through two loops. Now

that's the first side of the granny square. Now we do two chain. That's for our

first corner. Now we do two more double crochet. So yarn around into the circle

and pick up a loop, yarn around pull it through two loops and

yarn around and through two loops and work another one the same. Now that's our second

side. We will work another corner which is two chain. Now we'll do our third side

which is two more double crochet.

Another corner of two chain and now we do our last side, another two double

crochet.

So we've got our four sides and three corners done. Our last corner we're going

to do a little bit differently. We're going to do one chain and then we're

going to work a half double crochet into the third chain, just the top here. So we

put our yarn around, we put our hook in the top of this third chain, just in

there, bring up a loop, our yarn around and through all the loops. Now we've got a

little square. To start on row two we start with three chain and then we're

going to work another double crochet, just into this space next to our three

chain, just in there. Now we're going to work one double crochet into each of the

double crochet from the previous round. So for the first one, this our chain,

three chain stands as a double crochet. So we'll do a double crochet into the

top of there, just in like that and then our second double crochet just into this

space here, in there.

Now each of our corners will be two double crochet, two chain, two double crochet. So

into this corner we'll work two double crochet.

Then two chain and two double crochet

and that's our first corner complete. Now for the side we will work one double

crochet into each of our double crochet from the previous round. So a double

crochet into here and then a double crochet into the next stitch. Now we're back

up to the corner. So into our corner two chain space we'll work two double crochet,

two chain and two double crochet. So two double crochet,

two chain and then two double crochet

and now we're back to the side. So we'll work one double crochet into each

of our two double crochet from the previous row.

Now we've got another corner. Into our corner space we work two double crochet,

two chain and two double crochet.

For the side stitches we work one double crochet into each of the two stitches

from the previous row and now we're back to our first corner. We've already worked

the two double crochet. So we work two double crochet.

Now we're going to join. So we work one chain and work a half double crochet

into the top of the three chain. So just in here we work a half double crochet. So

we put our yarn around, our hook into the top of the three chain, pull through a

loop, yarn around and through all loops. And that's rows one and two. We've got a

little square and we just continue on like that. So we start with three chain

and work one double crochet into our space there and that's the first part of

the corner. Now we work one double crochet into each of our stitches along

this side. So a double crochet into the top of our three chain from the previous

round, just in there, and then a double crochet into each stitch across.

And we'll just be continuing like this and our rows will get the two stitches

from each side more each row. So into our corner we work two double crochet, two

chain and two double crochet as we did last row. So that will be every corner,

two double crochet, two chain, two double crochet.

And you can make your square as big as you like.

Now we've worked one double crochet into each stitch across our side. Now we're to the

corner again so we work two double crochet into our two chain space. Then

two more chain for our corner and two more double crochet

and now we work one double crochet into each stitch across, each of our double

crochet from the previous row.

Now we're back to the corner. So into our two chain space we work two double

crochet, two chain and two double crochet

and for the side we work one double crochet into each of the double crochet

from our previous round.

And then into our last corner, because we've already worked the two double

crochet we just work the two double crochet for this end. If you're going to

continue on you'd work one chain and work a half

double crochet into the top of the three chain from the beginning of the

row. But if that was your last row you'd work two chain and slip stitch into the

top of your three chain, just like that and fasten off. And once you can get

three rows done, you can make your granny square as big as you like because you

just do your two double crochet, two chain, two double crochet into each

corner and one double crochet into each of your stitches along. And that's a

granny square. If you liked my video please like, subscribe and share. Thank

you for watching, see you next time. Bye.

Writers Corner - Dealing with Validation - Duration: 9:22.

Nobody's even reading the subtitles yet. I can say whatever I want...Rick Riordan is only a half decent author. Ha.

Wakey Wakey, eggs and disappointment.

DUN DUN DUUUUN! Look at them shinies. I think this intro is epilepsy safe. Is that a thing?

Hi everybody! I am perfect and adorable and...nope, I'm not writing that. No, I'm not. NO. You can't make me write that. Write it yourself. You're the author.

Is it the walls that look like plain oatmeal, or is it you? I don't care that you're tan now! Doesn't matter. No it doesn't. You can ask the audience, they'll agree with me.

Huh, I didn't know there was a color called "ugly" chameleons could turn into. Shut up, that was a good joke.

Shouldn't you know what we're going to be talking about? Sweet 666, get a hold of yourself.

And now's the part where I introduce myself. Hello, I'm the better one. Not the one talking. The other one you never see. Now I have a voice. Not literally, but close enough.

Who even cares? This isn't a facts channel. You're not writing hard sci-fi. Just throw up a meme or something. You're not entertaining enough to do this Noah.

Fun screaming stuff! These parts are always my favorite

So, context matters, eh? We get it Noah, you like PewDiePie.

Ah yes, Benchmark. Denmark's long lost cousin. Ol' Benchie is a screamer.

The approval of others is a lie introverts make up as an excuse to not interact with people. I use it daily myself.

Isn't it? Funny, coming from the guy who makes style changes based upon what he *thinks* others *might* be thinking about him.

So is success measured in the imperial or metric system?

I'm really only comfortable inside other people's skin. I'm kidding. People are gross.

Um, something other than being the better one here? Not possible.

Ooh, a Rowling reference! How *original*. Not like you've ever done *that*before.

I just hope whoever is changing in front of you isn't a minor, Noah. Or am I missing the context?

More low hanging fruit, nice.

Maybe make fun of somebody else? You don't see me talking about how you consistently rely on the same old tricks in an effort to deliver a lack of content in a way that seems meaningful to others. Oh wait...

Hey, if it led to you shapeshifting into a good writer, I'm all for it.

Oh another chameleon joke. WONDERFUL.

How does it feel knowing that the screaming in these songs is preferable to the incessant drill that is your voice?

Yes, you've mentioned how much of an introvert you are. It's almost like all you do is stay inside and procrastinate about writing and making videos.

I love when it rains near you. It means there's a chance of a lightning strike. I doubt I'd be that lucky...

If you were inside of your fantasy world, the war, tornadoes and characters would tear you apart faster than Down and Dirty loses it's lead singer.

"It's 'Saitine', actually."

A jump shot to your lips while you're making a noise other than speech?

I don't even care if it means you're Chris Ray Gun ripoff, it's better than you talking. I'll take it.

Oh boy, you left the house today. You get a trophy.

People still go to libraries? Just kidding. I go there to play Roblox too.

Asking for other's opinions is like writing two villains fighting each other in the same story: seems like a good idea, but it's not.

OH MY GOD! YOU CAN USE THE INTERNET TO SHARE YOUR WRITING? WOW! -sarcasm intensifies-

Just because you're not saying the explicit language doesn't mean it didn't appear via text in your video. Reported and demonitized.

That'll be the last time you stick me on captions duty.

The more people you talk to Noah, the more you're going to hear that you're not that funny. Can you really handle that?

Unless your writing is perfect and doesn't need to be stained by the opinions of less mortals. But sure, feedback or whatever.

Nothing says "I'm tired and in desperate need of a new job." like pointless slow motion. I'd slow clap, but my hands are duct taped to the keyboard.

Here's some constructive criticism: you suck. Welcome to YouTube.

Holy hell, I thought I had stumbled onto PewDiePie's channel for a moment. Then I realized it wasn't funny, and knew I had found yours instead.

So this is what you think your audience sounds like? Interesting...

How does it feel that every time they read more of these captions, they're liking me more than you?

I support you(r decision to give up and leave)

More constructive criticism? Hmm, how about...u gay. Should help you reevaluate some life choices.

Noah, I think if they're looking to complete strangers for validation, then they're probably hopeless. Or they're you.

You know what? I'm done. I give up.

I'm not going to try to make you look good anymore; you're on your own.

Besides, the duct tape is starting to come off my wrists anyway...

absence when you find yourself thinking things like I'm a terrible writer or

I'll never be good at this stop stop place those with rational and honest

thoughts go ahead and cut out all those unnecessary emotions yuh-huh you never

needed them anyway instead of thinking absolutes it can be helpful to think

things like my writing has been slipping because of my recent lack of sleep and

it's just as important to focus on myself as it is to focus on writing a

good story see the difference so go ahead and look at the good things in

your writing praise yourself give yourself a Scooby Snack

some people criticize you because they have a general disdain for your field

and they're jealous of how amazing you are or they simply don't understand the

obvious solution of course is to stop caring what people say or think it's

just that easy the easiest and least toxic way I know

to do this is to dismiss and ignore those who are belittling you or creating

a negative environment you're constantly trying to disprove or validate yourself

within after you've done this keep an eye out for those traits and others that

you meet it's important to eliminate toxicity before it even begins even

though it's a great song and it's amazing and it's by an incredible band

you just mm-hmm you gotta get rid of some of them

toxicity and I hate it you have to do it none of us wants you want to do it but

we have to just however there's a fine line between independent and apathetic

the goal is none but rather I don't need the opinions of others to make me feel

good about myself besides this part of the video is called

the subtle art of not giving up what did you think it would be happy

did you think it was about being nice come on kids you got a we down with the

weeds something good no it's all about being the best you think you can be oh

god this is a kid show now isn't it just a bunch of children watching this I

should have seen it coming I mean I don't swear or have nudity or sexual

themes or even play explicit songs I mean I'm just oh no

all the what's been said has been leading up to you focusing on yourself

were you finding happiness within one of the most important things is honesty

just as a general rule but especially whenever you're trying to focus on

yourself be honest with yourself about what you're good at what needs improving

and what you can do to better your own writing and your life in general I guess

I mean I know the cardboard box is pretty comfy and all but we can we can

always move up a little further in the world like uh in cardboard duplex yeah

think of all the rats more in a 2-story ask yourself if this is what you enjoy

doing because if so that's all that really matters at the end of the day

it's not about what others think of you or about what others say it's not about

anybody else at all in fact you're probably doing this for yourself I mean

her writers we're not doing this for the money what did she think we are actors

no we're not doing this for fame or glory you don't get interviews with

writers I mean unless the Conan O'Brien but most of us aren't in India they look

like a ginger to you it can take a while for all this to come together to find

acceptance in yourself but if you start young and then by this time you're in

your 20s you'll be much more stable I'm really looking forward to that point

notice I said accept yourself not love yourself you'll need a captive priest if

he wants in loving sweet baby Cthulhu not only am I gonna be be monetized but

I'm also probably going to the Hellmouth fantastic good thing I live in Florida

I'm training for the heat but I appreciate your patience as I've been

putting videos out I put out a couple of videos really close together um so I

hope it has cut me a little bit of slack in your eyes probably not probably

gathering your pitchforks right now as I speak such as such as life thank you for

liking this video and subscribing please feel free to put all of your suggestions

and fantastic ideas in the comments below as well as how you deal a

validation or any struggle as you're going with didn't

trying to be accepted by others we're trying to focus more on yourself I'd

love to hear about your stories we're a community not just me and people who

watch my videos but also the authors in general on YouTube we all kind of have

to stick together and I really enjoy hearing from all of you and if you want

to get a little more intimate you can find legend land not only on the usual

places like Amazon Barnes & Noble Exedra but also on my website

www.marykay.co.uk/awilliam visit in the video I think I'd like 40 minutes of

content I just got a jam pack in the like nine minutes fortunately most

Mattias loves and whenever I just jam it and at least Elizabeth this

she's strong, I love it!

are they crazy? did you see the rations?

they won't eat it, I'm sure

he is on the brink of death

no? why not?

why?

don't talk about her mother like that, i'm going to kill you

i'm going to come there, and kill you myself

oh oh, they're not dead, are they? i think they're just asleep

she needs her pills

did they ear or not?

i totally ship them

it's so cute

a kiss? are they too far?

no don't do anything stupid.. jackson.. please

i don't want to watch it

he won't do it

show them who you are

you've already said that

you've already sait that, it's the third time

forth time, ok we get it i think

she is full of blood

she's going to say it a fifth time?

yup

soo? nobody dares now huh?

ew all that blood, disgusting

i love it!

her, kill her!

she killed herself.. good

or not, still good

ha, Jackson knows it's the over for him

no

yeah, let him die in peace, come on bye

i'm not crying at all

violins and everything.. nah

i'm happy

bye bye

YAS he's dead

i'm mean i know

but i don't like him

i really don't like him.. that guy caused so much trouble

false! it's what she just did

exactly

yeah

the dead look in her eyes, it's horrible

who is it?

another culprit, right?

i don't know why, he looked like Finn

i'm dead, it's so cute

i love it!

just kill her, someone kill her, i'm sick of her

ok that's 7 years later, no 6? right

yeah that's it

i love it!

oh it's Ethan!

he grew up

oh no, i want to know what happened with him

how she raised him or i don't know

she cut her hair

i'm scared

what does it mean?

so he won?

oh no, what has he done?

unbelievable

what? that's it? but it lasted 5 minutes

no it's impossible!

that episode ended in like.. 5 minutes

the first episode felt already really short, like 10/15 minutes

here, it was like 5 minutes

fudge, i really loved how Octavia got so powerfull

and when she's up there, she looks like a queen

i love her!

i love it so much!

and I'm so happy Thelonius died, because i've been sick of him since season 1

he got me so mad and he caused so much trouble, so it's good that he died

however, i want to know how Octavia raised Ethan or something

and i love that the roles are reversed with Indra and Octavia

because at first Indra was the powerful one, more powerful than Octavia

and oh, i loved it so much

and i like that they're a bit like gladiators

because it's their thing, Bellamy and Octavia

mythology and Greece etc.

i mean.. Octavia of course

i loved it so so so so much

oh yeah i need to watch the trailer for next week

i always forget, but today i didn't

but i think, like the first episode was about Clarke

and the second is about the bunker

i think now it's going to be about the ones in space

yeah

yeah

I knew it! I'm sure it's Murphy

i told you, next episode is going to be in space

i love it so much!

i can't wait

it's going to be so long until next week

really, like since the series is back, i don't know why

it's not 'the originals' it's really 'the 100'

i love this series so much

since it's back, one week feels like a month

because it's so long

i'm not patient with this series

i can't wait for next week for a new episode!
