Hi, I'm off to Yeticon for the weekend.

I'm gonna be there for Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Today's Friday. Tonight's kind of a chill night

I always say that like I kind of take cons rearly chill

and especially yeticon, which is literally like a giant pool party

There's like a little bit of a bar scene

So that stuff's all really fun to do with like my cosplay friends

And sometimes we like to do really goofy cosplays.

oh, yes and Nozomi from Love Live. Which is like this light-up outfit...

That's just really fun to wear around at night.

So yeah, I can't wait to kind of dress up and

just be a goof with my friends!

About to go ziplining, should be fun!

I just got done ziplining and I screamed like a freak

because I'm actually terrified of heights but it was really fun!

Basically, like it was like Idol dance lessons

I had it memorized

I even did competitions for that. Like that was my jam and because of that

I really appreciate idols

like Idol dancing and all that kind of like really throw your heart into that stuff

I think of it as like this nerdy

and I love to see people super passionate about whatever they love

even if it's super geeky to other people

I just love to see people do their thing

I mean, that's kind of what I'm all about doing my geeky thing all the time

now I'm probably gonna kind of do some "party-ish" things. I don't know

Bulldog For Life: Jason Daday - Duration: 3:35.

Im Jason Daday.

I'm a assistant director of admissions here at Ferris State University and I've been

employed here at the university for 15 years.

My ferris story goes back to growing up in Big Rapids and attending Ferris as a student

in the 1980's and earning my bachelor's degree in 1988.

I was fortunate enough to then work in the community and my work overlapped with the

university for about 15 years and one day a friend of mine said "Hey, there's a

position in Student Recruitment I think you might enjoy and might be good at." and she

was right and that was 15 years ago and I just love what I do.

I'm involved in the process of helping people get to that next level and that next chapter

of their life.

I know Ferris works because I'm a product of it and my friends that I met when I was

a student here who have gone on to be so successful.

I know that when someone comes to Ferris and does what they are supposed to do and takes

advantage of the opportunities that we offer that when they leave here they're gonna be

successful.

In my role at Ferris I work coordinating group visits to campus.

So I'll see thousands of students every year that come with their high school or their

career center and get to acquaint them with Ferris and what we have to offer.

But I also work with orientation and commencement so I really have a unique opportunity to get

to see the students when they are coming in as deciding if Ferris is right for them, when

the come to get oriented and also when the graduate and walk across the stage and I love

being apart of that.

It's neat to see that happen and be apart of that journey.

Thank you dad for my voice, I think that's where that came from but I always had an interest

in radio.

I loved working in radio and I was fortunate enough after graduation to get in at a local

radio station WBRN who was the flagship station at that time for Ferris sports.

So I had an opportunity to get involved with Ferris State Athletics.

Broadcasting those events and then after I started working for the university I continued

to do that.

Some on the radio, but that got to be a little bit much with my responsibilities in the office

of admissions.

But a door opened for me to do the hockey public address announcing and i'm now in my

eleventh year of doing hockey P.A.

I love being apart of it, being apart of the event, and apart of the fun and just having

that great Bulldog spirit.

Go dogs!

When I talk to prospective students or their parents the message is one "It's going

to be what you make of it."

So you wanna make sure you're choosing a place that is going to allow you to make the

most of it and Ferris State does that.

I try to just reinforce the understanding that if they come here and take care of their

business, do what they are supposed to do, take advantage of their resources to help

them be successful, take advantage of the opportunities that are here on campus to get

involved and to have a good time, and to learn outside of the classroom.

If they do those things when they graduate they're going to be successful and they've

had a great experience.

I really think that's what Ferris we provide this opportunity for people to come and get

to that next chapter in their life and being apart of that is is very rewarding.
