Polish winter makes us rather dream about tropical hot countries like Africa or Kenya
In Kenya on the Equator the climate is tropical. There are monsoon rains, mountains,
Victoria Lake on one side, Hindu Ocean on the other. Perfect place for holidays,
perfect place for growing tea although it wasn't known at the beginning.
In the past Kenya was under the influence of the Portuguese, then the Germans,
and finally the British joined that beautiful African nation to the crown in 1902.
They started to persuade the locals, I mean the Brits, to settle down in colonies
such as Kenya, start a new life, on new fields and that's what happened.
They tried growing there linen, sweetcorn, coffee and also tea.
We already know the scenario from Sri Lanka but it wasn't really the case that time
because an pioneer named Caine planted tea simply because he liked it.
He didn't intend to grow it, he liked tea bushes and planted them for decoration.
It was in 1902. It turns out among all the plants tea did the best to grow
and also the prettiest, it was decorative after all.
So they all decided to rebrand themselves and started to grow tea.
In that way in 1918 first commercial tea plantations appeared
and in 1933 tea was already in England where it soon became a part of popular British blends
because it had a very distinctive in flavor. Tea trade was growing to the extent
that in 1950 a special committee was established that dealt with the protection of interests
of Kenyan planters. Later Kenya regained its independence in 1933, the country kept on promoting
the development of tea brand to the extent that now Kenya is the third largest tea exporter worldwide
producing around 430.000.000 tons a year.
The most tea is produced in the area of the mountains since the tropical climate isn't really what tea likes.
However, a lot of water haze rises over the Victoria's Lake in the form of clouds
that get in touch with the mountains causing heavy rains which provides tea with proper conditions.
They mostly grow Assam tea there and various cultivar as it's called, grown strains and species
produced by the mentioned society but also different research centers,
because let's be honest, tea is the key, maybe not the most essential in Kenyan economy
but very important hence there's lots made about that and new strains appear,
including the famous purple tea that I'm gonna tell you about later.
Tea itself is also grown on mountainsides such as the famous Kenya mountain,
as well as in bigger cities where huge corporations have their plantations.
It turns out international firms buy others and set up their own.
Besides, locals also grow their own tea that they bring to the sale point
where it's processed by factories, so the tea is made by anyone who wants.
In Kenya it's mostly black tea that's produced. It's made by the CTC method.
So generally it's quite industrial but you can also get high quality black tea with fresh tips.
A little green and white is made, and also the famous purple one.
If you'd like to visit Kenya and see the plantations, the harvest takes place all year long,
like it is for tropical climate. but the best tea comes from January and February
and then form the end of summer around August.
It's worth to get to the foot of Kenya mountain or to the Kisii highlands
possibly to Nandi or around the Kericho town.
You will probably have to get there from the ocean but the whole west of the country
is really abundant in tea, so you'll certainly find something.
There we go. Our tea is ready.
How should I drink this tea? Well, in the places of British colonies tea is drunk the English way
with sugar and milk. That's how it's traditionally drunk in Kenya of course,
but actually it tastes equally good when it's pure.
What can we expect? Sometimes citrus notes, slightly malty, certainly very clear and strong brew.
It's very rich and concentrated so it will go nice with milk,
but it's also a great thing as breakfast tea.
What could we possibly want more from black tea, especially with the weather like this?
See you soon at Czajnikowy.pl and... in Kenya!

USS MICHAEL MONSOOR - FULL CAPABILITY ANALYSIS - Duration: 7:02.
The U.S. Navy has commissioned the latest Zumwalt-class destroyer, USS Michael Monsoor
(DDG 1001).
It is the second warship of this class.
The warship is named after Michael Anthony Monsoor.
Michael Anthony Monsoor was a United States Navy SEAL who was killed during Operation
Iraqi Freedom and posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
USS Michael Monsoor was manufactured by shipbuilder General Dynamics Bath Iron Works.
The Zumwalt class of warships are the largest and technically most sophisticated guided-missile
destroyers of the US Navy.
In this video Defense Updates, analyzes why USS Michael Monsoor will be the most potent
destroyer to roam the ocean?
Let's get into the details.
USS Michael Monsoor is 610 feet in length, has a beam of 87 feet, draft of 27 feet and
displaces around 16000 tonnes.
Though large, it appears much smaller to radar because of its stealth design.
Stealthy design is mostly attributed to warplanes.
But Zumwalt-class brings the stealth to a major warship.
USS Michael Monsoor features a unique wave-piercing tumblehome hull.
The hull slopes inward from above the waterline which is very different from traditional hulls
which move outwards at a hard angle.
The design significantly reduces the radar cross-section since the slope makes the hull
return very less radar signal that is directed to it when compared to a traditional hull.
This makes the ship harder to detect and target.
Zumwalt is the first class of warship feature all-electric propulsion.
USS Michael Monsoor consists of an all-electric drive with an Integrated Power System.
The ship is powered by two Rolls-Royce main turbine generators, two Rolls-Royce auxiliary
turbine generators, two 34.6 MW induction motors enabling it to reach speeds up to 30-plus knots.
The electric propulsion system has many advantages.
The system eliminates the need for the drive shaft and many other heavyweight components.
This not only enables easier maintenance but also reduces the acoustic signature of the
warship making it harder to detect by sonars.
Importantly the system generates 58 MW of additional reserved power which allows the
leg room for future upgrades like integrating Laser weapons and Railguns.
USS Michael Monsoor uses extensive automation.
For example, the vessels of this class have an automated cargo handling system.
The automation reduces crew complement that is required to run the ship.
USS Michael Monsoor requires a minimum complement of 130 personnel which is, less than half
needed by similarly sized warships.
This will reduce operational costs as well as enable stocking more weapons which could
be crucial in a war scenario.
USS Michael Monsoor has two 155 mm caliber Advanced Gun System to execute long-range
artillery strikes at the range of more than 100 km.
Currently, the guns are lacking ammunition.
The Land Attack Projectile (LRLAP) that were developed for the purpose was rejected because
of the very high cost of $1 million per shell.
The U.S. Navy is yet to select a replacement but it is already evaluating multiple options.
One of the potential options is the HVP or Hyper Velocity Projectiles.
US Navy has recently tested it from Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Dewey.
To know more please referent to video on the above card.
USS Michael Monsoor also has 80 MK57 cells protected by Peripheral Vertical Launch System
(PVLS).
The PVLS is designed to reduce the chances of the risk of loss of the entire missile
battery or even the entire ship in case of the magazine explosion.
The system consists of pods of VLS cells that are placed in the outer shell of the ship's
superstructure.
The outer shell is built with thin steel whereas the inner shell has thick steel.
This design configuration directs any forces of explosion outwards, reducing the chances
of crippling damage.
The important part is that each of these cells is capable of accommodating 4 different missiles
which include SM-1, SM-2, SM-6 missiles, Tomahawk land-attack missiles.
So, USS Michael Monsoor can go to a mission armed with different weapons payload depending
on the scenario.
SM1 is a medium-range surface-to-air missile (SAM), with a secondary role as an anti-ship
missile.
It has a range of 167 km and speed of Mach 3.5.
SM2 is an upgrade of SM1 with an increased range of 185 km and better sensor.
SM-6 is meant of anti-air warfare with a range of 240 km and speed of Mach 3.5.
The SM-6 can also function as a high-speed anti-ship missile.
Tomahawk land-attack missile is a long-range, all-weather, subsonic cruise missile.
It has a maximum range of 2500 km.
US Navy has given a contract to Lockheed Martine, the manufacture of Tomahawk to develop a Maritime
Strike Tomahawk which will play the role of the long-range anti-ship missile.

Stupid Questions with Radhika Apte | MissMalini - Duration: 5:03.
They asked me if I was Radhika. I said "Who? No!"
And she said, "Aap actress hai?" Meine kaha, "What? Nooo."
Ew hate Radhika1
Hello everybody! This is Priyam and of course Radhika Apte is in this video with me.
Because you're omnipresent now.
How much do you like that tag?
I think it's old news now. Why though? I love it!
It's not old news. It's 2019 now.
But it's just begun. But did you enjoy any of the memes?
Do you have a favourite meme?
I think I've forgotten them, been a while.
I try not to live in the past, so... I don't know. Okay I guess that's a good way to start of 2019.
Okay so I actually wanted to ask you that so many times
specifically, everytime that you're asked any dumb question during all your PR rounds.
You're one of the few people who's just like, "Listen, that's a stupid question!
So you should know this about me, that the only reason I'm not famous is because
I don't think I have half the grace, that any of you have
while answering questions when you're up on stage with the mic.
Toh I have for you Radhika, 4 stupid questions, that you have been asked in the past.
And you don't need to answer them if you don't want to
I would just like to know, what is your first thought
when something like this happens, when you're out there, promoting a product
promoting a movie? So are you ready now for the stupidest questions of your career?
This happened I think during Padman, aapke side se koi bhi Cat Fight ki khabar nahi aayi hai.
Aapko kaisa lag raha hai iske baare mein?
Yaar aap ke life mein zyaada drama hai mere life mein hai nahi. Kya kare?
But is that weird when people are still ask you about
if actresses can be friends? Because you've been around for long enough.
I think it's such a cliched, boring notion.
And it also categorizes women in a particular way that is so boring.
And not true. Not true at all. 2000 and late 100%.
Okay this happened sometime around in March
So, "Kya Radhika kya bold aur controversial hona important hai aapke career ke liye?"
Is it important? Hahahah
Well it can be important for some people.
But no, it's not important for me.
Okay! This was my favourite. Radhika "Toilet, Ek Prem Katha" se lekar
"Bazaar" tak ka safar kaisa raha?
Arre yaar, how many people asked me this!
Hahaha. And you've reacted each time!
What time do you sort of let the joke go? No I mean, I was in London for a month and a half
almost for a holiday. And it was so nice to not have
people asking for selfies and anything. I was really enjoying it.
And we had gone for a road trip somewhere and on the way back, we stopped
to pee. And there was this Indian family that went,
"Aap Toilet mein hai?" And I was actually in the cue to go.
And I just looked at her and said, "Nooo."
And she said, "Aap actress hai?"
Meine kaha, "What? Nooo." Hahahah
Do you just deny being an actress? I do that all the time!
They ask me "If you're Radhika? I said who?" Ew! hate Radhika!
Okay cool next up!
Aapke film ke hero bahaut famous hai prankster banne ke liye. Kya iss set pe
aapne koi pranks khele hai?
This I'm told is apparently the most annoying question to be asked
by multiple different actors. No I just think that
I like playing pranks, I play lots of pranks. I think you know, that's a way of
sort of breaking the ice. It's a way of finding a way to communicate.
But when you're on set, is there enough time for all these pranks? There's so much time on set!
Really? Of course!
While the cinematographer is lighting everything, there's lots of time.
Okay so lot's of pranks on Radhika's set!
And finally, this a lot of people ask, not specifically
That you're XYZ film did not do well at the Box-Office
the last film, aapko kaisa lag raha hai iske baare mein?
Bahaut accha lag raha hai!
I think failure is a part of everything.
I think we need to look at failure as something that
we should respect as well.
And not make into something, we should allow people to fail.
Absolutely! How else do you succeed? Exactly!
How else do you learn? How else can you take risks?
So I'm ready to fail, it's fine. But thankfully you're not failing.
