Introducing Handel's Organ - Duration: 6:45.

Here we have a wonderful copy of a German chamber organ by Robin Jennings,

one of the finest instruments available within the UK because it has such

variety of pipe work on it that allows it to blend with instruments but also

take a solo role. This organ's fairly close to what Handel himself would have

understood as an organ in Germany, in Italy too to a certain extent and in

England where there were quite a large number of German organ builders and they

copied the German style a lot. If one thinks about the organ in the late 17th

and early 18th century it's probably the most complicated form of machinery and

the most important human artifact one can think of at the time and because of

that I think it was thought to embody so much of the human and godly spirit, it

tries to sort of encompass all the sounds that you might have in an orchestra

something of the vocality of the human voice

obviously the lovely tone of singing but also the notion of everything belonging

together, the instrument harmonizing as a whole.

Handel was always keen to promote the organ in the context of the English

church and concert scene so he actually devised the notion of introducing an

organ to the theatre which was quite a novelty in the early 18th century and in

his oratorio performances actually put in concertos during the intervals of the

oratorios to show off his own skill as an organist but also I think to promote

the organ. He had several colleagues in the organ building world who built

wonderful instruments with very long mechanisms that allowed him to play at

the front of the orchestra and play the pipes which were at the back of the

orchestra so it was quite a complicated instrument, a style of instrument

that's never been done since in fact we're not quite sure how they did it.

While this organ is in many respects based on 18th century models

particularly German ones, there's one big difference between then and now and

that's back in in the time of Handel and his colleagues they would have had to

have a boy to pump it to keep the air up. Now we have electric blowers so

it's much easier to have the organ on but it does make you think about how

they must have practiced how they would have had to employ somebody even to

practice an organ of this kind so they probably used different instruments like

clavichords and harpsichords to actually get the notes as it were and

then came onto the organ when they could afford to pay somebody to pump the thing.

There are two basic organ sounds for organs that are relatively small

that don't have reed pipes and the first is the flute sound which is

literally like a flute. Here we can have it for the the third movement of the G

minor concerto.

That's the gentlest sound of the organ beautiful, beautiful flute like sound and

then we have what in Germany is called a principle sound which is the main sort

of singing organ sound. In England it's often called the diapason and it's the

sort of noble organ sound that you so often associate with Handel and other

composers of the Baroque.

Beautiful, beautiful sort of sound and the other thing about an organ is that

you can build up chorus work both up to sort of brilliant solo sounds such as in

the fast movement of organ concertos.

and so on, so it's lovely, it's like the full string orchestra playing together,

violins, beautiful articulation and that's another good thing about this

specific organ is the action allows you to do so many little subtleties of note

lengths but the other thing the organ allows you to do is to build up a sort

of chorus as the piece goes on and that's particularly useful here when you

have a variation set so you might start with just the diapason sound

and the equivalent sound an octave higher to give it a bit more brilliance.

and then you could add a little bit more, a 2-foot to that for the next variation.

and then for the final one we've got some very high pipes, very small pipes

which give us a most brilliant sound.

so that's the sort of fastest speech of the organ you can hear, very very precise but

also brilliant in sound. So even though it's a very small unit you have a huge

range of sounds which in a sense mimics the entire orchestra.

very briefly thank you that you watched the last videos so much

I hope you liked our reviews

we try in any case to give you the best possible information

about the shoes or other things that we unbox here.

I would say we just start in our today's review what I have

today is the adidas Ultra Boost 1.0 OG. Short story to the adidas

Ultra Boost OG it came in February 2015 was designed by adidas,

presented as the greatest running shoe

but when it came out in 2015 it did cost 180 Euros.

We from the AFEW Store got only 12 pair.

I absolutly wanted to get a pair and i got one because at that time

we were not so many people here working at AFEW so thank god.

The people were a bit put off by the price of 180 euro for the shoe

Until at some point Kanye West wore the shoe in march

and suddenly the price of 180 euro was completly forgotten

damn if Kanye west wears the shoe I need that too. You have to say

that Kanye West also recently changed

from nike to adidas and that was the story

why everyone nowadays wants to have an Ultra Boost. thank you Kanye.

Let's talk about the shoe itself, the two-tone upper remained

logically this purple and black wonderful the striking purple

the pregnante purple Heelcage. what has changed is the sole because at that time there was no

Continental sole I mean it was introduced with the los angeles.

And now the Ultra Boost 1.0 OG is actually upgraded to the old version

the original 2015 Clear and which of course can not be missing

the thick white midsole from Boost above all what is really interesting

Bending gender in Japan

According to The New York Times, women in Japan are really into men who practice a style

called simply "genderless."

Japanese guys put on makeup, wear their hair longer and often dyed, and accessorize with

Masafumi Monden, who researches Japanese fashion and culture at the University of Technology

Sydney, explained that in Japan, unlike in Western countries, a person's choice of style

and sexuality are typically more separated.

This growing trend is just starting to take off, and may continue to spread.

Double eyelids in South Korea

South Korea is considered the plastic surgery capital of the world.

While both men and women around the world are investing in nose jobs and face lifts,

double eyelid surgery is by far the most popular procedure in the world with 1.43 million people

getting it done in 2014, according to Business Insider.

Women reportedly find this look more appealing, as it gives men bigger eyes as well as a Westernized

look.

All of this can be achieved for a relatively reasonable price, between $1,000 and $3,000,

so it's no wonder so many people are getting it done.

The surgery is reportedly not just about attracting a partner, but can also be an indicator of

success.

Dr. Hang-Seok Choi, director of JK Plastic Surgery, explained how one's appearance in

South Korea will weigh heavily on their options in the job market.

Beauty actually matters so much that job applicants are required to provide a photo along with

their resume, which has led to many people Photoshopping their images.

Sharp dressed men in Italy

Alongside their sexy accents and well-tailored suits, Forbes notes that men in Italy attract

the ladies with their swagger by adding a colorful accessory to an ordinarily plain

outfit.

They do this with a bold belt, pocket square, or even a hat and all the women swoon.

What makes them stand out from the styles of other men around the world is their lack

of graphic tees or t-shirt with silly slogans on the front.

Arab men with light skin and eyes

The Guardian reflects how Arab women have come to find those with lighter skin and eyes

more attractive as that's what they're used to seeing in the media.

That said, even though these guys might appear to have it all with their devilishly handsome

good looks, it seems being "too sexy" is looked down upon in some Arab countries.

Several men attending a festival in Saudi Arabia were spotted and deported back to the

United Arab Emirates, where they were citizens, for being too sexy.

"Too sexy?"

According to the Arabic newspaper The Telegraph quoted for its story:

"A festival official said the three Emiratis were taken out on the grounds they are too

handsome and that the Commission [for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vices]

members feared female visitors could fall for them."

Sounds crazy, right?

While the identity of the three men wasn't officially released, the media speculated

that actor, poet, and photographer Omar Borkan Al Gala was one of these men, according to

The Huffington Post.

The social media star hasn't confirmed he was involved in the deportation, but he hasn't

exactly denied it either.

You only need to look a picture of him to agree that Al Gala very well could have had

something to do with this "too handsome" epidemic if he was in the area.

Being true to themselves across the world

Despite these trends, there's really nothing more attractive than a man who is true to

himself, regardless of where in the world he's from.

Confidence will turn more heads than any fashion statement or hair style.

Whether a guy is into clothes, video games, or tattoos, it's his confidence in who he

is that attracts women the most.

While outer beauty might be what lures some women in, inner beauty is what makes them

stick around!

The look that I'm going for today is based on red and yellow and green

Before I get ready if you understand color wheel, then it's gonna help you a lot.

First use a complementary color. For example, red and green.

Let's say yellow!

Another one that you can think about is something between those colors now you guys understand why I choose these three

colors we'll see how I put those things together from head to toe green top

yellow skirt red flower red shoes I will use orange for the makeup so now I'm

gonna put basic makeup like foundation eyeliner so I'm using orange tone brush

for this look I will use more wanton red now I'm putting our orange lipstick I'm

gonna add a little bit of red lipstick in the middle and also I'm gonna add a

little bit more orange inner corner of my eyes

overall in economics different type of red it's all one tone so it's all

connected moving on to my hair a little different from previous video I'm gonna

make one big toner at the end of the day fashion is about experimenting try

thinking outside of the box every day is a chance to express
