Hi guys and welcome to everydayidraw.
Today I wanted to share five things, you
did not know about me. And as you guys
probably know, I'm not the person, who
shares a lot of their personal life.
Simply because...
I have none. =D
I really want this channel
to be more about drawing
and inspiration, and stuff like that. And
since I work from home, I don't really
have a life. I mean, seriously. I might be
home for a whole week and don't really
go out that much. It's really hard to
share anything non-existent with you. But
today I wanted to talk about 5 things.
I did not really have to think that hard,
because this is just the thing, that are
on my mind recently, and if you remember
from the last video, I was saying, that
everything, that I would get from my
lovely patrons in December, in January,
I will send to an orphanage. And this is a
very specific one. I don't think, I've shared
this on this channel. But I do have an
adopted younger brother. He's with us for
two years now. I will give the donations
from Patreon, and I probably will add
something on top. I will give it to the
orphanage house, that he came from. And it
was a really hard experience to go there.
We had to actually go there for two
months, once we knew that we are adopting
him into our family. And to wait for the
whole paperwork to get through, we would
go there like every day. And it looks
like a normal kindergarten. And they only
allow you to visit, when kids are outside
playing. So this is like maybe one hour
per day. Every group in this kindergarten
has a very specific part in the yard,
where they are allowed to play. So they
are not allowed to leave this area. And
when you come there, all of those kids,
they know, that you might probably be
their parent. And they just follow you
with their gaze everywhere you go. It's
extremely heartbreaking to be there,
when you know, that when you talk to them
and when you play with them, you
don't really make anything easier.
Because you will not be there in, like a
couple of months. And knowing, that my
brother would have to stay there, because
I would have to leave in an hour, and he
would be there for another whole day.
It was just, like, I really felt a lot of
this weird feelings, that did not really
got easier. And this is why I know, that
I cannot really do much. And I extremely
appreciate my parents for doing this thing.
They are crazy and amazing. And extremely
brave. And I just wanted to give as much
help, as I can. Because it's better, than
nothing. So this is why I'm giving my
donations to the orphanage house. And
I mean, there are a lot of good causes, that
you can support. Like chronicle illness
patients or anything like that. But for
me, since I was there, and I had a very
personal contact with this reality. This
is why I'm supporting this one. But
I really want to encourage you guys this
year, try to give at least something,
maybe to the Goodwill, or any good charity
of your choice. I mean, we can all
complain about world being not a good
enough place, but I really want to
encourage you to do something, to make it
a better living for all of us.
Let's get to the next one.
If you guys met me in
the real life, and a lot of you did, you
know, I don't eat meat. I don't really put
any label on that, so I'm not calling
myself a vegan or vegetarian or anything
like that. I wanted to try and maybe not
eat meat for some time, and see how my
body would react. And from that point it
kind of stick. I do like animals,
excluding spiders of a very specific
size, when they are not cute anymore,
because they are big enough, but they're
not so big, that you can kind of mistake
them for something cute, like a mice, but
those spiders, that are in between, like
No.
I'm not really a big fan of saying, like,
"I will never do something". Like, "I will
never drink alcohol", or "I will never eat
meat", or "I will draw every single day",
because I feel, like, it was so much
pressure on you. So I find, that what
helps me a lot, is to say, like, I'm trying
this now. So I'll see, how it goes. So, if
in the future I will feel, like I really
crave meat, like a steak, or, I don't know,
whatever... I would probably consider
eating it. I will not be restricting
myself, but for now I feel, that my body
goes better without meat. And my skin
gets clearer. So I'm just sticking to
that routine. There is one exception though.
(vain attempts to say the name)
You know, this Vietnamese soup.
I'm a huge fan of Vietnamese cuisine.
I mean, like, guys, let's just take
this moment and praise Vietnamese cuisine,
because this is just...
Sadly, not any place
I go, they serve this soup without meat. Even if
In a lot of places, If you ask, they would
switch your chicken or beef to tofu. But
the stock would still be meaty. If I'm
craving for, and this happens to me
with scary frequency, like, a lot, I would
definitely go and eat a bowl of meaty soup.
Because, soup is just so good.
I think about death a lot.
Before you freak out,
let me just explain myself.
I was reading Mark Mansons's book.
It's called "Subtle art of not giving a fuck".
It had a lot of amazing ideas. But one,
that stuck with me the most, was that
death... Inevitability of death - Is the only
certainty, we have in life.
Everything else, that we have, is our
perception. Is this good or bad?
Do I like this person, or not? Do I really want
to draw or not? This is just, like, my thoughts.
And I cannot really be sure all of the
time, but what I can be sure off, is that
everybody will die, including me. They say,
this a lot. "Live every day, like
it's your last one",
and stuff like that. But you never
really think about it. If you try to
think about it, and this year I actually
tried a lot. Always it scares the sh*t
out of you. But then it gives so much joy
to life. Like, to everything, that you have
to face. For instance, the other day I had
my toilet clogged. It was a nasty thing.
And I was home alone. And to my horror,
I did not have this thing, that you used to
clean clogged toilet... How do you call this?
Let me google that.
"Plunger", or "force cup".
Let's call it force cup. So I did not
have a force cup, because last time we
moved, our old one was really scary, and
not cute looking. So I threw it away,
thinking, like, "oh I'll buy a new one"... and
I never did. So force cup was out of my
reach. I decided, I would just put
rubber gloves and there is no better way
to do it, but just dig deep into the
toilet. And I was home alone. But then
I figured, that during... The last time, I was
washing my floors, the last rubber gloves,
that I had, were punctured with
holes. So, I threw them away, thinking, like,
"I will buy a new pair", and I never
did. So, I had to do something with this
clogged toilet. And there was no better
way, like, no other way, but to really dig
with my bare hand and dig deep and clean
this clog. And...
...it was disgusting, but I did it.
Because it was Christmas time.
In Europe, if something happens
during Christmas,
you are alone to face it. No supermarkets
are working. And there is a very
low chance, that you will be able to call
to some professional and get a help
really quickly. After I did that, I was
like,... I scrubbed my hand with,.. with every
might I had. I would, even, like, after 2 or
3 days, I would still, like, sniff it a
little bit. But you know what? After
I thought, that I would die at some point...
This thought quickly transformed this
clogged toilet experience into something,
I was glad to have. Because I was alive.
And I was
enjoying life at its fullest.
yeah...
This thought actually helped me. And I'm still
working on that. But it helps me a lot to
get rid of anger and negative emotions.
Because I really want to help people.
And I really want everybody to feel better.
I have a limited amount of time. So why
would I want to spend it on making
myself feel, like I'm better, than
everybody else.
I would rather help people. And I would
rather make people feel better, because
they also have a limited time on this
planet. It's so much more fun to live it
in a very positive way, rather then
trying to explain, that somebody on the
Internet is wrong. This helps me a lot.
When, for instance, I face negativity on
the internet or, if somebody in real life
tries to be an a**hole, I feel like, I'm
invincible. Because I'm thinking, like,
Nooooooo!...
My camera died.
Okay, we are back after a
short break, after my camera died.
I totally forgot, where did I end the
previous section. So I will gradually
move to the point number 4.
I am gradually trying to reduce the number of
litter, that I produce. This is why this
year I've decided to first of all, get
rid of the one time use plastic bottles,
that we buy all of the time. So I bought
myself a bottle with the charcoal,...
charcoil filter by BUproducts.
Links will be listed down below.
I extremely love this one, because it
looks amazing. And I carry it around.
And sometimes I would remove the filter and
just use it as a bottle for my juice or
anything else. And also I started to use
my thermos more. This is actually the
termos, that my friends gave me.
It's a Japanese one. It is really tiny, it's
only like 250 ml. I enjoy
drinking tea or coffee, when, for instance,
I'm walking, talking. In the morning
I would just pour some coffee and enjoy it
while looking at this city,
and enjoying the morning. And then
I would also want to start to carry it
around more. When I'm in the city, for
instance, if I'm going for a coffee,
i would not use this one time paper cup with the
plastic... lit (cap). But rather pour it into
my thermos. The second thing, that I use
is menstrual cup. If you are a girl and
you hate all of those menstrual products,
as I did. I absolutely despise all of
them, because I just feel, that they're so
not convenient. And also I am pretty
scared by the chances of getting toxic
shock. I will leave a link to an
interview with an amazing extremely
brave girl, who did go through a toxic
shock herself. And she lost her leg.
And usually those kind of things, like, those
kind of risks... You don't really get
enough information about them, especially,
when you're young and you're just
starting to use this product. So
I started to use menstrual cup. And I just...
Guys (girls), I praised by it. It's so, so good.
It's so convenient, it's extremely clean,
extremely easy to use. And it's super
safe. So, Menstrual Cups y'all ! =D
The final thing, is that
I started to work on my
wardrobe. And I'm not a fashion person.
But I really like my outfit to look neat
and putted together. So I was really
inspired by the idea of capsule wardrobe.
And now I watched videos by danish girl.
Her name is Signe. And I will leave
links to her channel somewhere here in
the carts. So you can check her out. She
talks a lot about capsule wardrobe,
building one, finding your own style,
sticking to your style, working with a
minimal amount of accessories. And since
I've started to budget myself, I don't
feel need anymore for spending money to buy fast
fashion things from Zara and H&M.
I would rather buy one pair of extremely
expensive... Like, well, not extremely.
One pair of expensive
designer jeans, that will last me for
five years. And they would fit me
perfectly. Rather than buying fast
fashion jeans. Biggest problem, that
I have, is that they fit my butt. And
everything is perfectly... legs, everything
is OK.
But the length is just... Where did they
see girls with such long legs. I mean, if
they do exist, I extremely envy them.
I'm a short legged person. I think... I don't
know. If I would buy jeans from fast
fashion brands, they would have
extra 20 centimeters, dragging behind me...
Last thing, is that I really enjoy
working from home and, as you can see,
in most of my videos, like, I do have a
costume of normal person on the top. So
I would wear a t-shirts, or preferably clean
t-shirt for you. But on the bottom
I would usually wear my yoga pants, or
pajama pants. Because this is the perks
of working as a freelancer. I am this
kind of person, that is extremely
organized, when staying at home. So
I don't really struggle with organizing my
working day. I used to think of myself, as
a very bad company worker. Because I'm
just so much better working from the
quiet space of my home. This would makes
me a good freelancer, I guess. Or at least
I hope so. I hope you learned something
new and exciting, or maybe not, from this
video. As always, I want to thank my
patrons for allowing me to be here and
for sponsoring good cause
this year. If you liked this video, please
give it a thumbs up. And if you want to
share one thing, that I did not know
about you, please do so in the comments below.
Please, subscribe to my channel and
follow me on social media. All the links
will be listed, as per usual, in the
description box below. And I will see you
guys next time.
Bye!
