Waching daily Apr 1 2018

In this video I'm going to tell you about how much money you need on your SmarTrip card to ride the Washington DC

Metro and how to load it up.

HELLO! Welcome to Trip Hacks DC, my name is Rob. I'm a tour guide here in the nation's capital. Ifyou're coming to Washington DC

and you're looking for the best tips, tricks, and hacks for exploring the city, make sure to subscribe to this channel and hit the bell

notification icon so that you don't miss any new videos.

And if you're interested in signing up for a Trip Hacks DC tour, head on over to TripHacksDC.com

afterwards, to see the tours that I offer. If you're new to this channel I actually have several other Metro videos

and I will leave a link to my Metro video playlist in the video description. If you have any questions about using Metro during your

trip, leave a comment on this video and I will try to help you out, otherwise,

let's get started... One question that I get asked a lot is "how much money should I load onto my SmarTrip card?" In my

previous video on the dos and don'ts of Metro, I

suggested buying a SmarTrip card with the $8 default value and topping it up as needed; however if you're coming to DC and you

know you're gonna be staying for a while, or riding the Metro a lot, it might make sense to add more money at the beginning.

Unlike in other cities, our Metro does not use flat fares. What you will pay

depends on how far you travel and whether you're riding during peak time around rush hour or not. For a typical visitor who is staying downtown

and using Metro to get to the major sites,

I would budget $2.50 per ride on average. $2.50

is a good starting point.

For some people it might be too much; for other people it might not be enough. So if you want to get really precise about

it you can actually use the Metro website to find out exactly what the fare is going to be

between two stations. So once you're on

www.wmata.com you're going to find the page for the station where you're starting your trip from. Scroll down a little and then click or tap

"Metrorail Fares" then from the drop-down box select the

station that you want to travel to. In this example if I wanted to travel from Capitol South to Arlington Cemetery

station I would know that it costs $2.50 during peak hours

and $2.20 during off-peak hours.

So if you're a really super organized planner you can look up all of the fares for the trips that you plan to take and

then use a calculator or a spreadsheet to

total them up. Now the next question that I get asked all of the time is

"should I buy an unlimited ride pass?" and my answer to this is almost always

NO

Psychologically we humans love unlimited stuff. The reason is because after you've paid that original amount

everything after that feels free - even though it really isn't. In my experience, most visitors to Washington DC

will not use Metro enough to make an unlimited ride pass worth it. Plus

they're generally confusing and even if they do save you some money,

chances are that that amount is going to be pretty minimal. So since you're not going to be using a pass,

let's say that you loaded your SmarTrip up with $8 like I suggested, but now you're running low,

what do you do?

Topping up your SmarTrip is super simple. Find a fare machine in any station and

start by tapping your SmarTrip up against the target. On the little screen it will tell you exactly

how much money you have on your SmarTrip card. If you have cash

it's as simple as just feeding it into the machine. If you want to pay with a credit card

you can use the up and down buttons to change the amount on the screen and then swipe your card to add it.

After you're done

you just tap your SmarTrip card against that target again to complete the transaction.

But let's say that you forgot to top-up your card and now you're taking a ride

but you don't have enough money on your SmarTrip to cover it. For example if you're taking that $2.50

Arlington Cemetery ride from the example earlier

but you only have

$2.00 on your SmarTrip card

when you go to exit, the fare gates actually won't let you out. What you're going to have to do is use one of the

Exitfare machines to add more money to your card. Now the big, huge annoyance about these Exitfare machines

is that in 2018 they are all cash only, so be mindful to either check your balance before you go into the system,

or carry some small bills with you. And lastly

let's say that you overestimated and overloaded your card

and now you have a balance that you didn't spend. Can you get a refund on your unused balance? The answer to this one is...

Maybe. On the wmata website it says that if you live outside of a 100 mile radius of Washington DC or Baltimore

you may be eligible for a refund on your balance and to contact SmarTrip customer support to discuss. Now,

I have never personally tried this because I obviously don't live a hundred miles or more away, and note that the words "may be

eligible" are quite vague, and

contact customer service "to discuss" is also rather vague, so whether this will actually work,

I have no idea, but if you have a large balance on your card, and you really want that money back

it's worth a try.

Alternatively there are some charities here in town that will accept a SmarTrip card with a balance on it.

They will use the balance to help the less fortunate get to job interviews, doctor's appointments, and that sort of thing, and I will leave

a link in the video description

to one of those charities if you have a smart trip card that you want to mail to them. And that's it!

Thank you for watching this video. If you found it helpful you can subscribe to this channel by clicking on the Trip Hacks DC logo

which is popping up right now at the bottom of the screen.

And if you're coming to DC and want to sign up for a Trip Hacks DC tour, you can click on the Capitol dome on

the left side of my head,

that'll take you over to TripHacksDC.com where you can see the tours that I offer. Enjoy your trip!

Building a New Work Bench For the Wood Shop Part 11 - Duration: 19:55.

Hello and welcome Donald Vlogsifys Wood Shop.

I'm Donald Matthews and we're gonna go ahead and jump into it and get this bench put together.

Ohhhh yeah.

True confession.

I actually dry fitted this thing together before I started recording this just made sure...

That I didn't screw up and have some... no....

odd ball

mishaps or....

the thing wasn't sitting...

Yeah

true confession.

Now I apologize if this video angle aint so great.

Kind of limited on where I can put the camera and actually see enough to get it lined up.

In the future at some point in time.

I'm gonna work on that and put something in the ceiling that I can kind of move the camera where I want to.

But that's at a future time.

Now we're gonna put this thing together or try to.

When I did dry fit this thing before.

I ran into an issue of trying to stand these legs up, and they would want to fall over. That's what this is for.

See what I mean?

And that's what that's for.

Get these lined up here a little bit.

I tell you one thing, getting old sucks. uhggg... Just sayin'.

Now...

It's pretty guaranteed that at first this stuff is not gonna be even. (square)

See? There's some unevenness there.

There we go... So one side was a little bit off-kilter anyway.

That's not gonna hurt my feelings none there.

You know what?

I see what part of my problem is.

See how that wedge is?... how that one is...

How that one is?

Look what I did over here.

Don't think you can see it all that great, but I put it in backwards. Now, let's try this again

That's more like it. That one side's a little bit too big, but I knew that was happenin'.

Now...

I'm clamping these so that when I...

Start putting the bolts and the screws to hold these...

aprons and everything to the legs, that everything stays where it's supposed to stay at. Hopefully.

Paul Sellars kind of...

anchored this, or put it together a little bit differently than I am. I'm just going to use wood screws...

up here.

Down toward the bottom to hold this together.

Maybe one higher up down here.

And I'm not exactly sure until I start doing it,

but I was just going to run all the way down here with wood screws.

The problem here is...

I thought about it. wood...

naturally moves, so it might bow and twist a little bit....

If I put those screws in there this glue seam is just gonna rip apart. Tear apart.

So I am going to actually do what he did and put a carriage bolt through here.

That way I can leave it with just a hair enough of play that the wood can go this way or that way...

anyway, you know, how it needs to.

But it will still give me the

resistance I need sideways.

That's the plan. That's kind of an experiment. We'll see what happens.

Change in plans.

I happened to remember.

I gotta make room for the wood vise to fit on one side over here, so I'm gonna skip...

putting those screws in.

Try to decide exactly where I'm gonna put device at.

Because I'm gonna have to be cutting in there anyway, and if I need to later. I'll come back and put these in there.

You know what?

My lag-bolt idea took a dramatic turn to...yeah... that ain't gonna happen.

wooops!

My original plan was to do what I'm getting ready to do and just go ahead and screw this thing to legs.

But I thought about the lag bolt and what I said earlier.

Well...

I didn't take...

that into account.

So..........

The lad-bolt lad-bolt? That lag bolt ain't happening back to the screws.

Gonna get screwed.

I'm afraid. I'm a little bit tired of the brace and bit. So I'm gonna start cheatin'.

I'm gonna be cheating on the countersink. Now I know this ain't your standard countersink bit.

But it'll work.

That's it for this video, all I'm gonna put in here.

The thing for the most part is built .we're in the home stretch now.

I'm gonna put.... All I got left to the vise. But first... I'm gonna kind of level off the top here um

I'm believe Paul Sellers, which by the way

check out Paul cellars workbench build. I'll put the link it

up here in there "I".

I believe he waited till after he put his bench vise on.

Or his woodworking vise on.

To plane it down.

But mine, I believe mine's a little bit more unlevel than his was. So I'm gonna at least level it out.

Get it smooth before I put that

woodworking vise on here.

Because I don't want to be planning it and

be bumping up against the vise. Especially with my blade if I happen to go too low.

I'm gonna spare you be sitting here planning that because...

Honestly, you've seen people and me; a lot of me, planning stuff. It's...

pretty straightforward.

Not all that complicated just a lot of time and a lot of work.

If you'd like to see that part of it a little bit better explanation of how planning works...

Because frankly I'm still learning how to plane.

I'll put that link up here too. In the little "I" of that particular video in his workbench build.

Where he does plane down the top.

So check out Paul sellers.

I'll put those links up there to that. I'll put a link to his channel down in the description down there.

At the end of this video, during the last 20 seconds. you'll see a little round button with a picture of mr. Sellers

in it. Click on it. Go check his channel out and subscribe to him.

And along with him...

There'll be another little round button with a picture of me.

Your ole favorite

neighborhood redneck in it. If you're not already subscribed, I ask you to please click on that button and subscribe.

There's also a little red button down here under the video if you don't laptop and another way down there if you're on mobile.

Just subscribe to me. I'd be very grateful.

I'll put a video... a video click link.. little thingy here... with a

The start of my... my project... workbench project build.... I cannot talk!

My project, the wood bench. The wood bench? The workbench. It is wood.

But it's a workbench. The workbench build from...

the beginning. The playlist for it. I'll put that in a big ole square, rectangle thing down here.

Not a square, but a rectangle, but it's squarish. yeah anyway...

If you want to watch me do this from the beginning

Check me out on Facebook Twitter Instagram the links are down below in the description.

Please give me a thumbs up and share my videos.

Check out some of my other videos. I got got quite a few up here. Different little projects and stuff, some updates, and me being stupid.

Say say hi in the comments down below if you've got any questions, ask me, if I can if I can possibly answer my we'll

Above everything else, have a lovely day. Have a lovely night. Have a lovely whatever your lovelyin'.

Have a lovely life because life is short, and it's meant to be enjoyed. Peace!!

FC Bayern focused on decisive phase of the season - Duration: 2:07.

Easter Sunday at Säbener Straße,

but not a chocolate bunny or hot cross bun in sight. Even 15 hours after the 6-0 demolition

of Borussia Dortmund, there was no time to relax and enjoy some sweet confectionary.

The Easter egg hunt is on hold for now

as the players who didn't feature on Saturday reported for training.

The remainder were in the performance centre recovering, including Javi Martinez who,

as so often, put in a flawless display and showed his class against Dortmund.

We're hungry. We all want to win

We're fully focused on the most important part of the season.

We have to give everything in these 45-50 days and devote our lives completely to the main objective.

First up that means bringing a positive result back to Munich from the Champions League

League quarter-final first leg at Sevilla on Tuesday.

Arturo Vidal, who missed the Dortmund game with a bruised thigh,

is expected to return for that match after training fully today.

Whoever Jupp Heynckes decides to field in Seville, one thing is clear:

It will not be a walk in the park on Tuesday like against Dortmund.

Despite sitting sixth in Spain's La Liga, the Andalusian club showed again yesterday

how strong they can be at home.

Sevilla led Barcelona 2-0 until the 88th minute

before conceding two late goals to slump to a draw.

Essence of Murli 02-04-2018 - Duration: 7:12.

Om Shanti !

Today's Murli Date Is 2nd April 2018

( We all know in this world Supreme Father Supreme Soul is the most elevated. Elevated in terms of virtues, powers etc. )

( Naturally creation of such a father would also be very elevated )

( Such a father while speaking of his creation today, says.. )

Essence: Sweet children, in order to become elevated, constantly continue to follow shrimat.

Even Lakshmi and Narayan became elevated by following shrimat.

Question: Why have people created the memorial of the Gaumukh (mouth of a cow) on the path of devotion?

Answer: Because, at the confluence age, the Father places the urn of knowledge on the mothers.

Nectar of knowledge emerges from your mouths and everyone becomes pure through this.

Therefore, the memorial of the Gaumukh has been created on the path of devotion.

Therefore, the memorial of the Gaumukh has been created on the path of devotion.

You mothers fulfil everyone's desires and this is why the memorial has been created.

Song: Show the path to us blind ones, dear God!

Essence for dharna: 1. Follow shrimat and serve Bharat to make it into heaven with the power of purity.

( Heaven is residence of dieties who are pure. So it is important for all of us to be pure as per shrimat )

Tell everyone the ordinance of the one Father:

Become pure and you will become the masters of the pure world.

2. Give everyone the introduction of the three fathers

( The three fathers are 1. Lokik father 2. Brahma Baba 3. Shiv Baba )

and show them the way to go from the land of sorrow to the land of peace and the land of happiness.

Free everyone from wandering around.

Blessing: May you be a contented soul and experience all attainments by keeping the company of the Almighty Authority.

When you have the Almighty Authority with you, you automatically experience all attainments.

Just as when you have a seed, the whole tree is merged in that,

similarly, when you have the company of the Almighty Authority Father,

you are then constantly prosperous, content and always full.

You would never be weak in any situation.

You would never have any complaints but would always be complete.

You would not have the complaint, "What can I do? How can I do this?"

The queue of questions will have finished.

Those who constantly stay with the Father will also return with Him.

Slogan: Just as light is merged in the eyes, similarly, let the remembrance of Father Shiva be merged in your intellect.

To the beloved, long-lost and now-found children, love, remembrance and good morning from Bap, Dada, and sweetest Jagadamba

The spiritual Father says namaste to the spiritual children.

We spiritual children convey to spiritual Baapdada, our love our remembrance, our good morning & our namaste namaste

Om Shanti !

Nobody will be able to stay alive after today

The exams want to kill us

Time for war!!

The teacher gave us an exercise

The other wants an essay

I don't know if I'm going to survive tomorrow

Fuck my life

I'm going to be studying all night

I'm going to need a lot of coffee for that kind for energy

I'm losing the strength to hold out any longer

School life is taking over me

A thousand hours and tears

and pieces of information too

If I don't write back the stress killed me

If you see me wanting to cry more and more

Then bring a pistol and we'll shoot ourselves

You better not tell me, "Well,

I know how you must be feeling"

I'm reading the same thing again

DIY CHALLENGE! (FINDING NEMO MAP) | Niana Guerrero - Duration: 6:11.

What's up guys?

Niana here, another day, another vlog for us,

I mean…

For me. Because my brother isn't here.

Even though my brother isn't here,

I'm still gonna make a vlog for you guys.

Because I wanna make you guys happy!

Few days back, I gave a shoutout on Facebook and Instagram saying…

since I've got a new printer,

my homework became a lot more easier

and a lot more fun.

So if my friends needed help,

you know where to reach me.

And today I got a message from Bug, from Little Big Toys

saying that she needed urgent help

for her project

about the Pacific Ocean.

And she doesn't know where to start,

and she needed to hand it

tomorrow, guys.

Tomorrow!

That means we only have a really short time

to come up with a cool project

that she can put together at home

with her own printer before the end of the day.

And I can't just do it by myself,

so...

I gotta ask help from my dad.

So he's just right there.

Daddy-----!

Daddy, I need your help

with something.

What, what is it?

I need your help because we need to come up with

a cool project for Bug.

Cos I'll be doing a lot of printing and stuff, so yeah, I need your help.

Okay, come on, let's go.

Let's go, let's go, let's go!

Okay now let's do it.

For today's vlog is gonna be a little bit different

because…

we're gonna do a DIY,

it's gonna be lit.

Cos it's my first time to do it.

So yeah.

Let's gooo-

wait a minute.

What are we gonna call it?

We're gonna call it--

Homework Rescue by HP.

In this show I will be helping my friends

create their fun

and cool projects

for their homework emergency

by the help of my…

Daaaaad.

Hello!

And by HP Deskjet Ink Advantage Printer.

By the way guys, this is my journal

where I'll be keeping track

of all the steps.

First thing that we're gonna do

is research.

And I always start with the things that I love,

one of them is…

Disney movies.

But first,

let me take a selfie

for my journal.

Hey, why don't we search on the Disney printables website?

-Yeah. -Yeah?

Oh, there.

Disney Pixar's Finding Nemo.

Yes!

It's said it's at Pacific Ocean.

Perfect,

It's giving me an idea.

Okay I'm going to reveal the project that we're gonna make.

And three, two, one.

Taraaaa--

Three, two, one.

Cheers.

So we're gonna make the map of the Pacific Ocean,

and put the characters of Finding Nemo.

Okay let's print out everything.

Okay.

So now guys, we have everything that we needed.

And now I'm gonna take a photo.

Now we've got the Finding Nemo playset,

the map,

the card,

styrofoam,

glue,

and scissors.

And I also printed these

stickers from

the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage printer,

and I'm gonna use this to decorate the map.

So now guys, it's time to put it all together,

but first, let me just take a selfie, of course.

One… two…

Now,

first thing that we're gonna do, is cut out the map.

So let's go.

Now we're going to put the map together,

like a puzzle.

and…

We are done.

So now we're going to cut the Finding Nemo printables

and this sticker.

And now we've got the playset,

and now let's put them where they live.

Gill lives over here. In South America.

Uh… Shrimp lives anywhere,

so I'll just put it here.

Flapjack lives

at Japan.

So, crush the turtle

lives...

everywhere in the ocean,

so I'll put it over here.

Marlin lives here.

Australia.

Dory lives somewhere in here,

in the Philippines.

But wait,

something's missing.

Where's Nemo?

I don't know.

Time for a search party.

Oops!

I found him!

He's on the printer.

Nemo

goes with…

Marlin-------

Taraaaaaaa--

And there you have it,

a completed homework challenge.

A homework challenge to come with a project

about Pacific Ocean,

and yeah… We did it.

High five, Dad!

And here's the recap!

So Bug, that's how you make an amazing project

about the Pacific Ocean.

And now it's over to you.

And that's how easy the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage printer

makes homework.

And Bug, I'd like you to make

an art

and story-telling project.

And that's it from me and Dad.

Dad, say goodbye.

Goodbye.

And to our lit friends,

I hope you enjoyed

our vlog for today,

it's good to try something new, like a Do-It-Yourself vlog.

Don't forget to leave a like,

share,

subscribe,

and turn on the post notification for a shoutout.

I'll see you on the next challenge

on Homework Rescue by HP.

Bye-bye!

A New Era! Episode 132 Animation Breakdown - Dragon Ball Super - Duration: 10:58.

Welcome back to another Animation Breakdown!

April Fools, everyone!

We are of course not actually covering Dragon Ball Super today.

If you couldn't tell already, we're diving into Dragon Ball GT for what will probably

just be a one-off since it felt appropriate after Super's finale, but we'll see, depending

on the reception, maybe I'll tackle some special episodes from the various series here

and there.

But without further ado, let's jump in with a little bit of context for GT!

The series was a pretty interesting case in that, despite being its own thing – as in,

it didn't have a source manga – it debuted as though it were just Dragon Ball Z episode

292, just one week after Z's final episode.

It had essentially the same production staff: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru continued as character

designer from the Boo arc, the same studios and their animators continued just the same,

albeit with a couple of switch-ups, like Toshiyuki Kanno taking over Yukio Ebisawa.

The only significant changes came with the series director and writer positions.

Aya Matsui took over from Takao Koyama on the writing front, though she pretty much

gave up this position at the exact point the Baby arc started, with Atsushi Maekawa writing

the vast majority of the series from that point onwards, including the TV special.

In an interview with the show's producer, Kozo Morishita, he revealed that the team

came up with a rough plan for the first arc, but by the time the third script was totally

complete, they decided that this space adventure, low stakes approach wasn't actually very

good, and immediately changed gears in favour of action.

Whether it's that deciding factor that pushed Matsui away from the show, we don't know

for sure, but it does seem telling that Maekawa kinda unofficially stole her position once

that Baby arc began.

I don't think that's a comment on either of their skills.

Matsui is a remarkable talent, currently leading Pokemon Sun & Moon's writing, and Maekawa

was the series composer for the 2011 adaptation for Hunter x Hunter.

Ultimately, I think it's just down to different tastes and interests, and clashing with what

the higher-ups deemed best for the brand.

The director of the show was Osamu Kasai, and he's most famous for directing a lot

of mech, or at the very least, space-based anime, and I think the overall atmosphere

of GT is very much his doing.

There's this darkness and grit to the visuals that never really goes away, even once they

leave space.

Much in the same way Tatsuya Nagamine brought about a big visual change to Dragon Ball Super,

Kasai seemed to do the same for Dragon Ball.

Unfortunately, I think that dingy 90s space anime aesthetic really does date the show,

and doesn't quite fit seamlessly with the timeless aesthetic found in the original series.

I think that's why you hear a lot of tales about people seeing GT out of context and

assuming it was some sort of prequel because it, frankly, just feels older.

In every interview post-GT, there's this overwhelming sense that the production team

really wasn't sure what to do with series, and I think that's very much a part of why,

even if you enjoy the show, it's hard to argue that there's not this real disconnect

between arcs, and stylistic incongruity with both the story its telling, and what's found

in the previous series.

I bring this all up because it is Matsui and Kasai in the script and direction roles here,

so with that bit of background out of the way – that was quite as ramble, I apologise

– let's dive into the animation specifics of episode 1.

This was supervised by Kazuya Hisada of Studio Seigasha, who you may know as the superstar

studio on Dragon Ball Z, and that's very much true of their work on GT, too.

What's interesting is that Hisada and Shimanuki used to alternate supervisory roles on Z,

but Shimanuki is only ever a key animator on GT.

In the chief animation supervisor role, we have another superstar, Naoki Miyahara.

Unless I'm misremembering, this is the only episode of GT to actually have a credited

chief supervisor.

I think much in the same way Tadayoshi Yamamuro corrected most of Super's first episode,

the idea here was the ensure the opener looked as polished as possible.

Miyahara's corrections absolutely dominate this episode to the point that Hisada really

feels like an afterthought.

Stylistically, he's pretty close to the model sheets, but his slightly pointed ears

and large, boat-shaped noses are plain to see.

The episode opens with a pretty crazy fight scene between Goku and Oob, and I think the

debris that explodes into view in the very first cut is the best way Masahiro Shimanuki

could have ever announced his arrival on the series.

This scene is him through and through, and I think for many people familiar with his

work on Super, this style, the gestures, and the general timing on show here is very much

in line with his work on the latter half of that series.

You can see the almost puppet-like poses, and snappy movement, and of course the trademark

debris, again, that is all over the beam struggle.

This is a pretty lengthy and complex scene, and I think it serves as a nice and familiar

opening to bridge the action in Z and this new series.

Following this, as Pilaf hops out of his robot from the shock of explosion, Naoki Tate pops

up with a nice bit of character acting and mech animation.

This is obviously a lot jerkier than the Tate many people know today, but the actual gestures

in the drawing, and the cute little hands in particular are very much in line with his

contemporary output.

It's a short scene, but it's very competently executed, so no complaints here.

Later on Pilaf pops up again, and the old superior of the Seigasha gang, Tomekichi Takeuchi

appears to animate this nice little bit of character acting as they discover the black

star dragon balls.

It's fairly heavily corrected by Hisada since Takeuchi's style isn't exactly known

for being too great, but the movements are competent enough.

The actual summoning of Shenlong is really frustrating, and I have no real ideas as to

who animated it.

The effects work as the balls start to activate look lovely, and Shenlong actually manifests

himself out of the lightning bolt, and curves all around the palace.

I have to say, this cut is drastically lacking in in-betweens, it is very jerky, which is

a real shame considering these keys look so nice.

The next scene where Goku shows up and blocks the missiles has been really heavily corrected

by Miyahara, so again, I'm afraid I don't know exactly who animated it, but it's one

of the more competent scenes in the episode.

The pristine movement aside, there are some terrific impact frames as Goku comes into

contact with each missile.

It's a very modern-feeling scene, and definitely a highlight in this episode.

At this point, it is time for Goku to become a kid, and this is definitely where the strengths

of Kasai's storyboard comes into play.

Shenlong peering through the arches as Goku's trying to process what's happening is seriously

ominous.

This scene is animated by Kazuya Hisada, so you've got an awesome bit of character acting

with Pilaf, packed with competent lightning bolts, before the main event comes in as Goku

turns into a child.

There's bolts everywhere, there's impact frames, there's morphing – this is great

scene that I guess really sets the tone for GT is about to be.

Heading into part B, we're back down on the ground, as a bunch of bank robbers start

firing at police.

I have to say, this scene is really bizarre in terms of how it's constructed between

animators.

The shots of the actual robbers firing their guns doesn't seem to be Shimanuki, but the

actual follow-up where the debris is scattering around the ground is 100% him, particularly

the end of this scene where the roof falls in Goku – you can see his effects and of

the course the almost robotic shaking limbs.

The thing is, the actual smoke in the background of the scene where the effects are exploding

don't look like Shimanuki's work at all, particularly the little explosions.

It's almost like someone did the first layer of this scene, then Shimanuki animated the

debris on top.

This is something that does happen, but it is unusual.

I guess it makes sense considering just how much he'd done for this episode already,

but it did leave me and DBAnimators, another animation YouTuber you may know, racking our

brains trying to figure out who did what.

For me, the simplest answer is always the truest answer, but in this case, I really

don't see there being any other options.

From here on out, it's pretty smooth sailing.

As Pan pops up, it is Naoki Tate who appears once again to animate her kicking a rock at

one of the robbers.

Once again, his work's much snappier than his modern efforts, but the cool impact frames

and the general poses are clear as day, and pretty damn effective.

Next up is the star of the show, Naotoshi Shida pops up to animate Goku and Pan taking

down these thieves.

It starts off with the robber trying to punch Goku, and you can see Shida's detailed ears

that really haven't changed that much over the years.

As Pan swoops in, Shida's forte for animating multiple characters comes into play, but it's

the moment where Pan rushes through the gunfire and punches the robber right through a pillar

that is quintessentially Shida, showcasing many of his modern traits, and it is the strongest

bit of animation in this episode.

Background animation, cool camera work, interesting debris, perfectly smooth timing, and lovely

artwork – it is pretty damn great, and it's also the last bit of real animation in this

episode, so it's definitely a great way to wrap things up.

GT is not a series with much animation – it is one that leans very heavily on its artwork,

and with few exceptions, it is definitely the most consistent looking one out of them

all.

Episode 1 is a nice exception to that rule, it has a good chunk of movement – it looks

great.

Considering how mixed the rest of the series is, I think many people do agree that its

first episode is at the very least well executed.

I think if I were to touch on GT again, I would probably only look at episode 27, and

possibly its last one.

Like I said, this isn't the most animated series in the world.

It's definitely one that warrants more discussion over its narrative execution than its visual

one.

I hope you enjoyed this though, and if these one-off looks at certain episodes interests

you, then let me know.

Maybe I could start up a series called "Dissecting the Greats", and break down the best episodes

of various series.
