VTT DIRT / VTT STREET TRIAL : QUELLES SONT LES DIFFÉRENCES ? - Duration: 3:30.

Hi everybody !

I hope you are well !

Many of you ask me every week if it is possible to do street trials with a dirtjump bike.

Today we will do a little comparison between a street trials bike and a dirtjump bike!

Let's go !

The first big difference between a street trial bike and a dirtjump bike will be the front suspension on the dirtjump bike.

It will be very useful when you land a the jump, to help to absorb the shock

In street trial, it will be completely useless!

Indeed, a street trial bike will have a rigid fork on front

It will make the bike more responsive,

we will also gain precision during riding,

and all will be much lighter!

Second difference, the gear!

On a dirtjump bike we will have a big gear, it will allow us to gain momentum, gain speed on different jumps and different bumps!

On a street trials bike, we will have a much smaller gear!

It will allow us to take a less speed but to be much more comfortable on the trials part

with gap, sidehop and crossing in general.

The third difference is that most of dirtjump bike have no frontbrake.

On a street trials bike, we will have 2 very powerful brakes,

on / off brake,

that will quickly stop/block the wheel!

On a dirtjump bike, most of the time we will only have a rear brake.

This will allow to slow down between jumps or stop at the end of the line.

Fourth difference, the size of the wheels

On a street trials bike, most of the time, we will have 24 inches wheels.

Of course, there are 20 inches, 24 inches and 26 inches models,

but the majority of street trials bike are in 24 inches!

It allows to have a very nervous bike, very versatile on all the street part!

On dirtjump bike, we will have 26 inches.

This allows for more stability during jumps.

Fifth difference: the geometry of the frame and the position on the bike.

The main difference will come from the height of the bottom bracket.

On a street trials bike, if you draw a line between the 2 wheels axes,

The height of the bottom bracket will be above this line.

On a dirtjump bike, it will be rather below this line.

This difference allows the street trials bike to be more efficient in crossing, to have more ground clearance.

and to be more responsive!

If the height of the bottom bracket is higher, the position is also higher.

On a street trials bike, we will have a higher steering with more rise.

It will help a lot in versatility between tricks, crossings and the trial part.

On a dirtjump bike, we'll have a shorter stem, a flatter handlebar.

The lower position allow be more compact and comfortable in the air.

That's it for this global comparison,

I hope you liked it

Of course there is a lot more difference between these 2 bikes

Today I voluntarily sweep the glaring differences between these 2 bikes without going into too much detail.

Of course, each of these bikes has been designed for a different discipline.

A dirtjump bike will be better in dirtjump and a street trial will be better in street trials which is normal!

We have seen today these differences in theory

In a few days, I'll post a second video or I'll try street trial with a dirtjump bike!

We will see how it is !

I hope you enjoyed this video!

Feel free to put a like if you liked the video

to subscribe on the channel,

and we'll see you soon for a next video!

See you !

FAQ38 - GHOST, SOLAR ENDORSEMENT, DEALING WITH NEGATIVE PEOPLE, - Duration: 15:30.

Good morning everyone, I'm Ola Englund and welcome to a new FAQ video

if you saw my latest FAQ video, I did a little test, you know, I played some videogames

while answering your questions and yeah, the results were kind of clear to me

that from now on I will make all my videos, including amp demos, in VR

It just makes a lot of sense, because the answers that I gave were just so much better

It was kind of obvious that a lot of people loved that part, when I was doing the gameplay

But a lot of people also did not like when I was playing videogames

So, I decided to split up my gaming things and put them on a separate channel

I will link it somewhere over here, I've already uploaded a gameplay video

So, this is a strict gaming channel called 'Ola Englund Metal Gaming'

Huh?

Good name, huh? Made it up all by myself.

And if you don't like videogames, you don't have to subscribe to that channel

and you can just stick to this channel and you will not see any more videogames, huh?

That's a good deal, I think.

"Ola Gameglund, there you go. This one is free."

Yeah ...

... or maybe not.

I think 'Ola Englund Metal Gaming" is a lot better to be honest.

"Hi Ola, I was wondering how is the difference in quality between the 700 dollar Solar Guitars and the 1200 ones

"Is it just the Evertune or is there a difference in materials?"

I mean, the quality is no different from each other. The difference are the specs.

The '1' series have, you know, more expensive woods

You know, more expensive bridges obviously, like the Evertune. It has luminlays ...

But build-wise, they are the exact same and feel the same

So, it's not like they build the guitars differently if it's a less expensive one or a more expensive one

It's basically just the specs

And yeah, that's what I like, you know, about the guitars

You can pick up the most expensive one and you can pick up the least expensive one

and you will feel, you know, familiar on both

Yeah ...

Is that? What do you call that?

Is that something that kids do nowadays?

Floss?

I've seen that kids do that. I think it's dangerous

"Hi Ola, how do you care about the lyrics of the songs you listen to?

"are they as important as the musical aspect of the song to you?"

Yeah

I mean, I don't think that lyrics are that important, at least not for me

I know it is for a lot of people

but I definitely think that lyrics can enhance the whole experience of listening to a piece of music.

So yeah, I think it's still very important, you know, not bullshit lyrics at least

So yeah, I kind of ... when I write lyrics for Feared, for instance, I kind of have ...

I ... I ...

I try

Okay?

I actually try.

"Ola, It's 'Daddario', say it all in one word, not 'Deeaddario'

Well, f*** you Kevin Smith.

"Hi Ola, how is the sound of Solar Guitars, six strings in special, when playing chords not distorted? for ballads"

Okay.

Like, okay, I'm a guitar player and there's not a single f***ing guitar pick in my room.

What's up with that?

Oh, there's one here. In my box of picks there's still one guitar pick left, I'm lucky.

This a E1.6 ETC, it has the Solar Duncan pickups, like almost every other Solar Guitar.

So this is how they sound like clean, and it doesn't have a 5-way switch, it has a 3-way toggle

and you can split the humbuckers using this toggle, this push-pull tone.

So here we have the bridge pickup

Both

Neck

Then we have the split

There you have it, that's how it sounds.

"Hi Ola, what is the best way to put your music on Spotify?

"I've been asking this for weeks, please respond"

Oh, sad little crying face.

Well Mr Dank

The best way to put out music on Spotify is basically just to find one of these, you know, internet distributors

like, I'm using 'imusician' for instance, that I'm very happy with

There's also, you know, 'Distrokid' ... what else?

See the ... See the baby? I don't remember.

But at least, you know, just pick one, upload your music

and basically they put the music out to all these streaming services like Spotify and Apple music, etc.

So, there you go

"Hey Ola, as an owner of a guitar company, what do you look for in an artist

"when considering them for an endorsement? Asking for a friend ... the friend is me"

Alright, so what I look for, if you want to become a Solar artist

is that either you have, like, a great online following or, you know, a lot of views on YouTube

Or you're in a touring band that plays a lot of shows, you know, and expose yourself for a lot of people

I mean, both ways, having online presence or a touring presence, It's all about exposure towards people

I mean, how many people will you reach when you upload a video?

How many people will you reach when you are out on tour? Etc.

So, it has to be a collaboration between us two that we both can benefit from

So, if you want to send us an artist endorsement inquiry

I would recommend you go to the FAQ section of the Solar Guitars website

you go to the community, FAQ and read the instructions there

if you're interesting for us, then it's gonna be a good little cooperation maybe

I don't know

"What are your favorite NES games? Mine are Metroid and Contra."

Ooh, that's a tough one!

But I think that the ones that are really the most important games to me back in the day was ...

Ducktales and Super Mario 1, 2 and 3

I mean I finished those games over and over back in the day

Maybe that's a good idea for my gaming channel, to make like maybe a speedrun of Super Mario 3

Go subscribe to that channel right over here, or is it here? I don't know.

Just subscribe, okay? If you like gaming, subscribe

"Hey Ola, what do you call a deer with no eyes?

"I've no idear"

"Privet Ola, how to get rid of a feeling shy on sharing and releasing your music in particular

"and other social activity like YouTube in general?

"I mean that thoughts like 'what if people wouldn't like my music videos/ silly faces, etc.'

"Maybe I shouldn't do it and shit like that.

"I like my music and I'm pretty sure that someone will like it too

"but this unconscious thoughts grabs me down sometimes"

You know what? I've already answered this guy directly on vk.com

Go follow my account on vk.com, if you're into vk.com.

Wow, I'm plugging so much things in my video right now, it's insane.

Maybe I should pay myself for advertisements

Doesn't make sense.

My thoughts about if you should release music or not is that ...

Just simply release the music, okay?

Don't get thoughts that what people think about your music come in the way of you and your art

In the sense, just upload the music

There's always gonna be people that are not liking what you're doing

or does not agree with your direction or whatever

I mean, or there's even gonna be a lot of people just plainly saying that you suck or whatever.

Who cares?

I mean, just throw yourself out there, allow yourself to make mistakes, you know?

That's how we learn, you know?

When we make mistakes, when we fail, we pick ourselves up and continue on stronger than ever.

Sounds a little cheesy, but it's true.

It is true.

And yeah, and again, if someone, you know, comes to really bring you down

and, you know, talk shit about you, stuff like that

Just remember that there's probably something else wrong in their lives

Or maybe they're jealous or whatever, I mean, it means you're doing something right, you know?

And that's one thing about getting older that I really enjoy, like is that you just stop caring.

You just care a lot less about things and what people think about you or what you're doing.

It's like, come on, there's more things in life to care about

than what some guy on the other side of the world says about your music or your riffs or whatever, you know?

So dude, good luck. Get yourself out there already.

"Hey Ola, do you have groupies in a band?"

No, I mean, you have groupies when you're attractive, okay?

"Hi Ola, there is a lot of talk about the declining popularity of guitar-based music.

"Do you think this is true?"

No, I do not see it. What I see is like a decline of all music in a way

I mean, the only thing that is changing is the way that people consume music

and the artist obviously doesn't see, you know, the same type of first hand income

because people don't buy albums, so artists see a decline in sales

People aren't listening to music in the same way as they did before

I mean, I'm not.

I'm from the generation that bought albums, you know? Went out every Saturday to buy albums

The newer generation, they don't know that, they've never done that.

The new generation are more used to stream music through videos or, you know, on their phones

I mean, we had to use our Walkmans or our CD-players, you know?

It's so much more accessible now, music

And yeah, so no, I don't really see a decline in any certain genre

It's the whole business model, you know, that is changing and It's been doing that for a good while

So, there you go.

"Hola Ola, is it normal for guitar company owners to go to the factory and check every guitar for themselves?

"What do you do once the batches get too big for one person to check? Will you hire someone to come along?"

I don't know if it's normal, but personally I just want to do it as many times as I can

because I mean ... A: I think it's important for me, because it is indeed my brand and B: ...

It's kind of like a security measure basically. You know, a filter between me and the factory

and the end consumer, which is you guys

so it's very important for me to go and check and, you know, make sure everything's all right

and it's in my best interest I would say

And C is because it's just bloody fun to be honest

You know, I love going there, it's awesome

You know, standing there with a guitar in my hands. Like, you stand there, you have 500 guitars behind you.

I still haven't really grasped that it's my brand.

I'm just standing there checking a guitar, so it's really weird. It's very ...

it's a very proud feeling that I have to be able to say that I'm there, checking the guitars

"The Dual Rectifier works great for leads?"

Yes, they work really good for leads

It's ... you know, John Petrucci uses the Rectifier for leads all the time

And ... yeah, what can you say? Dual Rectifiers man, they're awesome!

They're awesome

"Hi Ola, do you play the bass guitar?

"And do you think it's important for guitarists to know how to play the bass guitar too?"

I think it's important to know the difference

between how you're playing on an electric bass and on an electric guitar

So yeah, I mean, it's up to you.

If you want to do home recording by yourself, I think it's a good idea to know how to play bass guitar.

I have no idea how to play bass guitar, I just play electric guitar on the bass

But ... It works

Sometimes.

"Can you play some favorite Yngwie J Malmsteen riffs?"

No, I cannot

because they're too hard

"Ghost, yey or ney?"

Yay, definitely, on Ghost.

It's a ...

Whoops.

I'm not really an active listener of the band Ghost, but all the songs that I've heard, I've enjoyed

It's definitely a big ...

"Jay"

And I have a cool little story for you.

When I was playing in the band Sorcerer back in 2010, Ghost played before us on a festival

Huh? That's cool, huh?

They opened up for us ...

Ghost ...

and, you know, like two months before they totally exploded into what they are today

So yeah, I like the concept

I mean, I think the singer seems like a very smart businessman and I really respect that.

Ohhh, that was the last question guys

Oh my god, we're done for the day!

Okay. I hope that you enjoyed these traditional FAQ videos.

I'll try and keep them more traditional like this and just, you know ...

Answer questions properly instead of just, you know, winging like I did in my last video

Okay, if you have any more questions guys, go ask them in the latest FAQ video

Make sure this is the latest one before you comment, okay?

And yeah, don't forget to subscribe to my gaming channel

and check out my super funny video where I play a horror game called 'Paranormal Activity'

It's not really that funny, but check it out anyway, it's up here.

Yeah, thank you so much for watching, guys. See you next time, alright? Like this.

HOW TO: 10 SIMPLE BIKE TRICKS für BEGINNER und FORTGESCHRITTENE (MTB/BMX) - Duration: 13:36.

hey guys whats up! my name is Lukas Knopf and today I am going to show you 10 simple MTB Tricks!

as I already mentioned in the intro its all about 10 Mtb tricks today

therefore I am using my rose bikes soul fire free ride bike and my rose the bruce hardtail dirt jump bike

BUT the tricks I am showing you are also possible on a Downhill bike, enduro bike, Slopestyle, bmx bike, whatever you choose to ride

basically you can do all the tricks on every bike.

if you guys want to show me pictures and videos of your tricks you can tag me on instagram using the hashtag #lukasknopfbasics and tag me with @lukasknopf

than I can take a look and might be able to give you some more advice aswell!

maybe you as a community can also help each other aswell!

lets start with trick 1 - the drop!

you guys will find drops in bike parks, but also when you are riding street (gaps, stair gaps and so on) but also when you are riding skatepark

you will find similar obstacles where you can use this technique everywhere

tip 1: take a look at the gap before you ride it so you know how you have to jump

then you will get an idea of the dimensions of the whole drop

then you should approach the drop with moderate speed

and a lot of guys make the mistake that they wont pop or anything, they would just ride of the drop

I would recommend to pop the front wheel first, so the back wheel leaves the drop last

but don't do a high bunnyhop, just the bunnyhop motion

the front wheel leaves the drop first then the back wheel

you wont get nose dive than and you will land with both wheels or even with the back wheel first and the frontwheel last for an even smoother landing

you have just learned the drop!

such a drop batterie helps a lot for learning!

you can start of with a smaller drop and then go up to the next higher on and then to the biggest one

also good for practicing: the pavement

trick 2 might be the biggest enemy of bike parks - its the Berm Roost!

just find a nice berm, hit it with full speed, take off your foot and pull the brake hard, roosting some dirt

its actually not that hard and the videos and pictures will look so dope, when everything is covered in dust

i would recommend to hit the berm a bit faster than average, put your finger already onto the brake lever

than cut the berm a bit, so go in a bit later

put your one foot down, and let your back wheel get carried away, weight stays stable over the bike

do a sick roost, get your foot back on the pedal and rider away

the pump track behind me is just perfect for trick number 3

its the so called Manual Surfer!

you should already be able to manual

so manual: riding on your back wheel without pedaling

its also a good way of gaining more speed

you have to pop your front wheel up

then your weight will go over the back wheel/seat

your arms and your legs are bent and then you will use your arms and legs to weigh out the bike

oh and your finger is on the brake to save you from falling to the back

you will try to stop your front wheel from falling down with this motion

until you might run out of speed

on these bumps you will just get popped in the manual position and then you will try to surf all of those

the 4th trick I am going to show you on this table is the suicide no hand

you have to jump a table like this, clamp your knees onto your seat, stay upright above the bike, get your hands off and stretch them like this

your chin or your upper body should stay above the stem

so your main weight is still above the bike

swing your arms to the back and get them back on before the landing

its definitely an advanced trick where I would recommend to start carefully with

hit a jump, just clamp your knees, so you know the feeling

then in the next try open your hands, then take them off more and more and more

later on you can put your body weight more to the back and stretch them out faaaar to the back

if you are afraid maybe learn them onto a flyout first and then hit a real jump

if you guys liked the sui no hand you will like trick 5 aswell

its the so called seat bounce no hand

so when jumping of the lip you will get bounced from your seat

and then you will take your hands off

I would recommend to learn the seat bounce first

just sit on your seat a couple meters before you approach the take off

get carried over the jump from the lip

you dont have to do anything else as if you would hit a jump normally

same position above the bike it will just feel a bit more weird at first

because you wont stand upright but sitting on the seat

if this works out fine, stay with your chin above the stem to keep the weight above the bike

take your hands off, back on

ride away, you have made trick number 5

i am going to show you trick number 6 on the hardtail. its the footplant or fast plant

you take your foot of the pedal and step onto the table

push your bike like this and land again

simple as this, not much to explain

except that I have the left foot forward and also take off the left one

and i euro table my bike like this

that gives you a bit more control and looks even more stylish

maybe try out in the flat first

and then advance it to a table or a speed bump

trick 7, the big bike bar spin, the crank flip

your crank will flip 360 backwards

I already explained the crank flip in a different video, but in the bunny hop

I would recommend to try it out before while riding the bike or even in the bunnyhop

than it will be more safe to do it on a jump than

and you guys have to be able to jump a table aswell

thats how you do it while riding

and while bunny hopping

some more tips on how to do it

this is the position you have to have on your bike

keep yourself upright

to kick your cranks backwards you have to lift your foot up like this, pull your toes down and then you can give em the spin

with this motion you give them the perfect spin

they will spin 360 and you have to catch em like this

you guys really have to figure out this one point where you spin but then its super easy

trick 8 is just right fo bike park use, but also in skate or dirt park

table jumps, banks

i am talking about the nosebonk

you just have to bonk with your nose on a table top

the bonk stands for a small hit with the front wheel

jump the table and hit it with your front wheel for a split second

pop yourself back up and land

you have to be s bit more advanced while jumping

while jumping, push your handle bars down, your front wheel included

and then when you bonked pull the bars back up and do like a bunnyhop

so you get back in the landing

now lets get to the most requested trick

the motowhip

just looks so stylish

first advice: go to a jump you love and get along with

then you have to decide which side you want to do the whip

do a couple of test jumps and simply try out which one suits you more

for me its the right side

front wheel goes to the right, back wheel to the left

my left foot is in the front

maybe this tip will help some of you

if you stand right foot forward: front wheel to the left, back wheel to the right

also: try the whip like this on flat ground so you get the motion of the trick

take your bar, twist it to one side

catch up with the back of your bike, keep your look straight

twist your hips

look straight forward and bring it back: twist your bars back forward and spot the landing

hip goes back aswell, spot the landing

it will take you a lot of tries for sure

so go out there and just have fun with it!

we are now approaching the last trick

its the ninja drop!

you guys jump off the bike, grab the seat and jump

jump off the bike, grab the seat

throw it in the centre in front of you

in the same motion you have to jump of the ground with your back foot

the foot who stands towards the bike will go above it

jump over the bike, catch the pedals and the handlebar again

you have to have ninja skills to do it for sure

I would recommend to practice it on flat ground or from a smaller obstacle like this

and then advance the trick to bigger ones

hope you guys have fun learning the tricks!

let me know in the comments which tricks I should do next

it would be so dope if this video hits 10,000 likes one day, so hit that like button if you loved the video!

new Merch is dropping soon aswell so check @themotionbrand or www.themotionbrand.com to stay updated

peace out and thanks for watching! you are the best!

Scheidung: Jennifer & Justin wegen Hunden im Mega-Streit! - Duration: 2:45.
