Second inter-Korean summit: how it all came about - Duration: 2:46.

The second inter-Korean summit took place exactly a month after the first one, planned

and held in secret.

So how did it come about?

According to an official at South Korea's presidential office, it was the North who

reached out first.

Hwang Ho-jun has this report from the Blue House.

"Chairman Kim reached out to me in the afternoon two days ago, saying that he would like to

meet without any formalities.

I accepted that offer with pleasure."

And a high-ranking official at the Blue House described in a bit more detail how that meeting

was set up.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the official said Seoul's intelligence chief Suh

Hoon and his North Korean counterpart, Kim Yong-chol have been in close communication

since the April 27th summit.

Last Friday, Suh and Kim were discussing how to prepare for the North Korea-U.S. summit,

and how to improve inter-Korean relations as part of the follow-up measures to the April

27 Panmunjom Declaration.

During that process, the North Korean official relayed Kim Jong-un's desire for the leaders

of the two Koreas to hold an informal and candid meeting.

Suh passed on Kim's message to President Moon, who approved the proposal.

So, from Friday night to Saturday morning, working-level talks took place to iron out

the details of the impromptu summit between President Moon and Kim Jong-un.

And on Saturday afternoon, the two leaders met again at the border village of Panmunjom,...

this time at Tongil-gak, a building on the North Korean side.

But of course, the surprise summit was also happening as Pyongyang and Washington wrangle

over the conditions for their own summit.

It was last Tuesday when President Moon and President Trump met in Washington,... where

the Blue House official said the two leaders agreed to do their utmost so the North Korea-U.S.

summit scheduled for June 12th will be held without any disruption.

But, just two days later, President Trump suddenly called off the June summit in a letter

to Kim Jong-un,... citing hostile comments from North Korean officials as well as concern

about the country's commitment to giving up its nuclear weapons.

The Blue House lamented the cancellation and urged the leaders to resolve their problems

through direct and close dialogue.

North Korea responded to Trump's letter as well, in a surprising way, calling it "unexpected"

and "extremely regrettable," and saying Pyongyang was willing "to sit face to face at any time."

And just about 14 hours later, President Trump tweeted that he remains open to holding a

summit on June 12th, as the two sides are having, quote, "very productive talks."

So with the summit in Singapore possibly back on, President Moon pledged to call or meet

with his North Korean counterpart whenever necessary.

He praised Kim Jong-un for taking the initiative to talk, and, comparing the latest meeting

to one between friends, he said that's how it should be.

Hwang Hojun, Arirang News.

We did some stuff in Malaga! - VLOG 4 - Duration: 5:37.

I'm filling up the rental car.

We are returning this one, and getting another one

After that we are headed to Malagas Cathedral

That is supposed to be very pretty,

after that we are going to a botanical garden

So let's see how this car thing goes, who knows they might sue us.

Because we destroyed the car.

Im holding the paper work for the car that we are returning

And we have already gotten a stamp that we returned it...

without damages!

Because they messed up

This is exciting, she is checking the car.

And I destroyed it

Ebba has destroyed it, we are blaming everything on her.

Im just standing over here

Nothing to see here!

Everything is okay!

Angelina is always so precise with her stamps!

She doesn't leave untill she gets a stamp that says everything is ok.

And that's good!

Returning the car went well, so we are going to get our new car

We are changing cars all the time because its cheaper that way.

We will soon see the new car, let's hope it is not too ugly

Good news!

We have been upgraded to a Ford Ka!

We are just happy we have been upgraded, a Fiat Panda is nothing to have

Fiat Pandas are shit!

Is it that tiny one over there?

Yes it it! - It that one?!

Cute! It's way smaller than a Fiat Panda.

Now that we have gotten our nice new car...

... you know what time it is!

THE SPANISH DIARY Part 4: The gang goes to church!

It might not be pretty enough to deserve it's own video,

but I gave it my best!

No matter how bad it was.

I'm just checking if I fit back here.

I can't say that I fit.

I like that she was so nice..

... in saying that a Fiat Panda is small, so I'm upgrading you

But this one is way smaller then a Fiat Panda

But...

... it's not a Fiat Panda, that is very nice.

We have returned our old car and got a better one in return!

No were are ha - HAVE NICE TRIP GUYS

What do you mean?

I just read the sign.

Angelina just read that.

We have arrived in Malaga, well, we've been here all along

and we are at the cathedral.

And can see it from here!

That was the cathedral, I dont know...

... I think those kind of buildings are very cool.

Just a lot of history and...

... it's just awesome to see.

But you get through it very quickly.

Now we are at the next location for the day.

And that it a botanical garden,

just north of Malaga

And damn is it pretty! Check it out!

That was our stay in this botanical garden

Nnnnnow I'm leaving!

There was some sort of wedding, as you can see in the background.

Is was very beautiful, we took a lot of nice photos!

I think that was all for today...

... that was all for today, thank you so much for sticking around.

If you liked the video, comment, like of subscribe, do what you want!

Are you fucking - they are photo bombing me while I'm vlogging!

Ah well, it's in there now! See you!

Ask Jase: Camp Oven Cooking, Bush Mechanics & Gearboxes► All 4 Adventure TV - Duration: 11:38.

Oh there we go.

There's some questions.

Well I guess you know what time it is.

It's time to Ask Jase.

How youse goin'.

I've got a whole pile of questions here, because they just keep flooding in which is great.

Keep them coming in. Okay so let's start off with our Ask Jase segment.

And I've got some questions here, and we've got Lorna.

Lorna R., not Lorna Jane.

Lorna R. How you goin', Lorna?

Lorna asks, 'Hi Jase, I bought the All 4 Adventure camp oven from the National 4x4 show...'

So that was in Brisbane.

'We took it camping and tried it over Easter.'

Okay wonder how it went.

'Can you give me some tips on the difference in using that camp oven and my old cast-iron one please?'

Okay Lorna, so basically I'd be interested to know how you went actually, whether it

worked for you or not.

Because it is a little bit different to a cast-iron one.

How is it different?

Well I'll tell you what, it is a lot faster.

It cooks faster with less heat.

You also need to watch where you put the heat in the camp oven.

Because where you put the heat can control how you cook.

How does that work?

Well think of it like this: in an oven, when you're cooking in an oven, it cooks all the

way around evenly, because the heat is all contained inside that insulated box.

Well a camp oven doesn't work like that.

It's not an insulated box.

You can actually have the camp oven sitting beside the fire on some coals, and the heat

radiating from the fire can overcook one side and not the other.

So you've got to think of all these little things.

Putting coals underneath as opposed to the top can change the way you cook things.

Okay let's start with everyone's basic first-thing-you-cook-in-a-camp-oven is a damper.

How do I cook a damper in a camp oven, in Jase's All 4 Adventure spun-steel camp oven?

So it's not cast-iron. Spun steel.

Nice and light. Cooks fast. Right, so we get the damper.

We must use the trivet.

The trivet is that little thing on the bottom.

You stick it on the bottom, and that'll stop your your damper from getting burnt if you're

putting some coals on the bottom.

Now let's say I'm out west a bit.

I've got some timber that's got some really good heat in it, so I don't need to use as

much timber.

So what I do is I put some on the top and some on the bottom to start with.

Alright?

And I watch it.

I'll give it about probably 20 minutes, and I see it and I lift the lid and I look.

Oh yes, she's cooking nicely.

You give bit of a poke, and you know, it's still a bit spongy.

And then what I might do then is I'm thinking, alright so it's had enough heat on the bottom.

I'm gonna move it off the bottom coals, and I'm gonna add a few more on top.

So that'll continue to cook now from the top down rather than burning the bottom.

So you can play around with this.

You might like it burnt on the bottom.

I don't know. What do we call it?

It's not burnt, it's glazed.

So yeah, just play around with it a little bit.

It's all about having a crack and just trying different things.

But remember, it will cook quicker and requires less heat.

There you go, Lorna. Hopefully that helps you on your next camping trip.

That's a good question that one, Lorna.

Okay here we go.

So we've got Glen M. How you goin', Glen M.?

'What's the biggest and hardest bush mechanic job you've ever had to do to get out of the bush?'

Well that's a good one.

Well I could tell you right now, the the biggest and hardest job we ever had to do is when

Swampy broke down in the middle of nowhere at Cape York.

That was an absolute mission.

So we'd lost front and rear drivetrain, that means diff, CV joints in the front munched,

and rear diff munched.

So we're going nowhere.

I mean we weren't going forward.

We weren't going backwards.

No where.

It was either walk away or fix it.

So first of all, we diagnose the problem.

The swampy is an old vehicle, so it's still using that basic stuff.

No computer stuff.

So we thought to get out of here, we need the bare minimum and that's the rear diff.

Right, so we didn't fix the front.

Didn't bother with it.

So our thoughts straight away were how we going to jack it up?

So we had to go on quad bikes, basically a day's ride out back to base camp.

From base camp, I drove another six hours north and found a diff centre in the back

of a scrapyard or wrecking yard.

Up at--was it Bamaga?

Cape York Spares, old mate there helped us out, and I had this diff centre.

I grabbed the diff centre out of the Hilux.

We had to actually pull it out of that Hilux, take it back, put all the tools, all the gear,

we had to put a jack and all that sort of stuff, chainsaw, everything and took it back.

We got back to Swampy basically 24 hours later.

And then we started--in the middle of nowhere with 46 inch tires--making jack stands and

jacks and basically lifting her up, popping her out, and praying to God that that was

the rear diff centre that was broken and that we could get it out even.

Because I've heard stories you can't even get 'em out with bits axles hanging out of

them and not being really able to pull it apart.

Let's go.

First gear.

Never had a doubt.

We're moving baby.

So basically that would have to be one of the hardest bush mechanic jobs I've ever had to do.

So there you go, Glen, hopefully that helps mate.

Glen M. Great question by the way.

All righty we got Wayne.

Wayne C. Wayne, how you goin', mate?

'G'day, Jase.

I would like to know what gear boxes do you use in your four-wheel drives?

Manual or auto and why?'

Okay Wayne, what gear boxes do we use?

We use the gear box that comes with it.

We don't change the gear box.

We don't put any fancy gear boxes in there, or we don't do much anything.

Don't change it much.

I don't like to modify things too heavily from standard, because when you're in the

middle of nowhere, that's the hardest thing to fix or get parts for if you've got something

that no one's got parts for.

So my favourite has to be auto.

Like I used to be a stick man.

I loved the stick, changing with a stick and driving and racing and all that.

Nowadays I'm auto.

It's full auto, mate. Auto, all the way.

It's far better in sand.

It's far better in the mud, and far better off road.

So it's a full auto in all our gear.

Simon's D-max is an auto.

The 200 is an auto.

The only thing that isn't is the 79 which is a stick shift.

I still reckon they should put an auto in it.

So there you go, Wayne.

Wayne C. Great, great question, mate.

Hopefully that answered your question.

Yeah it did.

Alright Joel.

Joel E. Joel E., how you goin', mate.

Not Jolie, its Joel.

How you goin', Joel?

We've got a question here from Joel.

'Hey Jase, huge fan.'

Thanks, Joel, that's awesome.

'I would just like to ask how much power do you and Simon run on your cars?'

Okay Joel, how much power do we run?

As much power as we can get.

By the sounds of that, Joel, you just want to know what sort of horsepower we're looking at.

Alright, okay, so the trick is to try and get as much horsepower out of your car--or

out of your 4-wheel drive--to try and get as much horsepower out of your four-wheel

drive but also keeping it very reliable.

Okay so you do that by changing exhaust and chips and peddle torqs and all those sorts of things.

But you want to keep it reliable, and it's all about reliability.

And sometimes you can sacrifice a little bit of horsepower just keeping it reliable.

Okay I know the 79 at the moment which we use on Unleashed, that thing punches out about

190 at the rear wheels with 35-inch tyres.

So that's some pretty serious horsepower.

I know the 200 is nearly up near 240-250 at the rear wheels.

The D-max, Simon's D-max, that sucker's up there at about, oh that's got to be punching

out at least 150.

And it's got big tires on it as well, so remember, yes, you want to get the horsepower out of

your truck, but you also want it reliable.

So hopefully that answers your question, Joel.

I think that's all we got time for.

Oh hang on a minute, Joel.

'How much power...'

Maybe Joel means power out of the batteries.

Oh there you go.

I'm just thinking here, it's like 'power', maybe Joel doesn't mean horsepower.

Okay Joel, just a quick one just in case you're asking which power, I mean just be a little

bit more specific in your question.

Okay, Joel, power.

So the boys at Battery World, Jared at Battery World put in 200AH in Simon's D-max to run

all the electrics and all the refrigeration.

200 is good.

If you wanted to and you want to spend a long time in the bush, and you've got maybe two

fridges like I do, maybe chuck it up to 300.

But with the Redarc external solar blanket and a Redarc panel on top, and you've got

plenty of sun, that 200 is pretty good.

200 amp-hours.

You can use AGM if you don't want to pay the price of lithium.

So absorbed glass mat--AGM--or you can go right down just to the deep-cycle batteries,

the lead-acid deep-cycle.

They're the cheapest.

They are a little bit heavy, but they're the cheapest.

And they come in 120s or 100s, you know, 200, 240 amp-hours, there's heaps.

There you go, Joel.

I've answered 2 bits of that question.

I'm assuming the second one is the one you are asking.

So there you go Joel E. And I'm off.

I've got to go, because I'm pretty sure that the kids are calling me, because we've got

to go down the back on the quad bike for a spin.

So I'll see you guys later.

Oh, wrong way.

Gotta go that way!
