TROUBLE.

IT'S FILLED WITH MERCY.

YOU KNOW WHAT MERCY IS?

IT'S KINDNESS BEYOND ANYTHING THAT WE COULD EVER DESERVE.

SO, WHEN WE GIVE MERCY TO SOMEBODY, IF YOU'RE WAITING TO

FIND SOMEBODY THAT DESERVES MERCY TO GIVE IT TO THEM,

THEN THAT'S NOT MERCY.

MERCY IS GIVING SOMEBODY SOMETHING THAT THEY DO NOT

DESERVE, BUT YOU DO IT BECAUSE OF WHO YOU ARE, BECAUSE THAT'S

YOUR CHARACTER, NOT BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY DO.

AND GRACE, OH MY GOODNESS.

GRACE IS SO AMAZING.

IT IS UNDESERVED FAVOR AND IT IS THE POWER TO DO--IT'S THE POWER

OF THE HOLY SPIRIT COME INTO OUR LIFE FREELY AS GIFT TO HELP US

DO WHAT GOD ASKS US TO DO.

SO MANY TIMES, WE CAN READ THESE PROMISES AND THINK, "I JUST

DON'T THINK I CAN DO THAT.

I DON'T THINK I CAN FORGIVE THAT PERSON THAT HURT ME SO BAD.

I JUST DON'T THINK I CAN."

WELL, YOU'RE RIGHT, YOU CAN'T, AND I CAN'T EITHER, BUT GOD CAN

DO IT THROUGH US AND HE CAN STRENGTHEN US AND ENABLE US.

AND YOU KNOW, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HELPS WHEN I FEEL, FOR

EXAMPLE, LIKE, YOU KNOW--I MEAN, I DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS ANYMORE

BECAUSE I'VE GOT A LOT OF EXPERIENCE IN THE WORD OF GOD,

BUT I CAN REMEMBER TIMES WHEN I WOULD FEEL ANGRY AT SOMEBODY AND

I KNEW THAT I WASN'T SUPPOSED TO STAY THAT WAY.

I DIDN'T WANNA LIVE LIKE THAT, AND I WOULD LITERALLY GO

SOMEWHERE, AND GET MY BIBLE OUT, AND START READING SCRIPTURES

ABOUT FORGIVENESS AND MERCY.

AND YOU CAN FEEL YOUR SOUL CALM DOWN.

I MEAN, IT'S REALLY JUST LIKE AN OINTMENT THAT WILL CALM YOUR

SOUL DOWN, AND AT THE SAME TIME ENABLE YOU TO DO WHAT YOU NEED

TO DO.

A LOT OF PEOPLE SAY, "WELL, YOU KNOW, YOU SAY YOU'RE GONNA--"

LIKE, I SAID THE OTHER DAY I WAS GONNA TEACH ON PATIENCE,

AND SOMEBODY SAID TO ME, "WELL, WHAT ARE YOU GONNA TELL PEOPLE?

HOW ARE YOU GONNA TELL THEM IF THEY'RE IMPATIENT, TO CHANGE?"

I SAID, "YOU STUDY THE WORD."

YOU KNOW, PEOPLE MAY GET TIRED OF ME SAYING THAT, BUT THAT IS

THE ANSWER.

WE STUDY THE WORD, WE STUDY THE WORD, WE STUDY THE WORD.

YOU DON'T JUST TRY.

THERE IS AN EFFORT THAT WE PUT OUT, BUT IT'S NOT A FLESHLY

EFFORT.

DISCERNMENT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR NATURAL BRAIN, IT HAS

CAN BE LOOKING AT SOMETHING THAT LOOKS JUST TOTALLY RIGHT, LIKE,

"WELL, WHY WOULDN'T I WANNA DO THAT?"

AND YET SOMETHING IN YOUR HEART IS JUST SAYING, "NO, NO, NO,

NOPE, NOPE."

AND REALLY, SOMETIMES FOR ME IT'S KIND OF ANNOYING WHEN I

KNOW THAT SOMETHING'S WRONG WITH SOMEBODY BUT I CAN'T PUT

MY FINGER ON IT.

WHEN I KNOW, IT'S LIKE, BOY, YOU NEED TO STAY AWAY FROM THAT.

BUT SEE, GOD DOESN'T WANT US--I MEAN, HE IS FULL OF MYSTERY,

BUT HE ALSO WILL FOREWARN US OF THINGS IF WE WILL PAY ATTENTION

TO HIM.

AND SO, WE NEED TO LEARN TO LISTEN TO THOSE KINDS OF THINGS.

SO, "TEACH ME GOOD JUDGMENT, WISE AND RIGHT DISCERNMENT, AND

KNOWLEDGE, FOR I HAVE BELIEVED (TRUSTED, RELIED ON, AND CLUNG

TO) YOUR COMMANDMENTS."

BOY, THIS IS A GOOD ONE HERE.

PSALM 119:72, GOD'S WORD IS BETTER THAN THOUSANDS OF GOLD

AND SILVER PIECES.

WOW.

ARE WE GONNA PURSUE THE WORD OF GOD EVEN HALFWAY AS MUCH

AS WE PURSUE MAKING A LIVING AND MAKING MONEY?

WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO--LET'S JUST SAY THAT YOU HAD A JOB, AND

THAT JOB REQUIRED SO MUCH OUT OF YOU THAT YOU COULD NOT ATTEND

CHURCH, YOU DID NOT HAVE ANY TIME TO STUDY THE WORD.

WOULD YOU SAY, "WELL, THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO.

I HAVE TO MAKE A LIVING," OR WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO GET

ANOTHER JOB, ONE WHERE MAYBE YOU EVEN MADE A LITTLE LESS MONEY,

BUT YOU SAID, "IF I HAVE TO DO WITHOUT SOME STUFF, I CAN,

BUT I CANNOT DO WITHOUT THE WORD OF GOD"?

I HAVE TO HAVE GOD IN MY LIFE, I HAVE TO HAVE HIS PRESENCE,

AND I HAVE TO HAVE THE WORD.

WHEN WE BEGIN TO HONOR THE WORD TO THAT DEGREE, WE SEE GOD'S

HONOR COME INTO OUR LIFE IN AN AMAZING, AMAZING WAY.

PSALM 119:72, "THE LAW FROM YOUR MOUTH IS BETTER TO ME THAN

THOUSANDS OF GOLD AND SILVER PIECES."

NOW, ALSO, THE BIBLE SAYS IN PSALM THAT GOD'S WORD MAKES ME

WISER THAN MY ENEMIES.

HOW MANY OF YOU WANNA BE A LITTLE SMARTER THAN THE DEVIL?

YOU KNOW, IF SOMEBODY'S OUT TO GET YOU, WOULDN'T YOU LIKE

TO RECOGNIZE WHAT THEY'RE UP TO BEFORE YOU'RE SERIOUSLY IN

TROUBLE?

I LIKE BEING WISER THAN MY ENEMIES.

WHEN WE ARE AFFLICTED, GOD'S WORD QUICKENS US

PSALM 119:107, "I AM SORELY AFFLICTED; RENEW AND QUICKEN ME

[GIVE ME LIFE], O LORD, ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD!"

AND YOU KNOW WHAT?

NOT ONLY SHOULD YOU BELIEVE IT, YOU SHOULD SAY IT.

WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THE POWER THAT'S IN THE WORD OF GOD.

THE WORD OF GOD IS A SEED.

I HAVE A PEACH SEED HERE.

I GOT THIS ONE BECAUSE IT'S A BIG ONE, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?

I COULD GET A LITTLE, TINY SEED AND IT STILL HAS POWER.

GOD'S WORD HAS INHERENT POWER IN IT.

THAT MEANS JUST LIKE THERE'S AN ABILITY INSIDE OF THIS SEED IF

PLANTED, AND NURTURED, AND CARED FOR, TO PRODUCE MORE OF WHAT

THIS SEED IS, TO PRODUCE--RIGHT NOW IT JUST LOOKS LIKE AN UGLY,

DRIED UP SEED, BUT IF I PLANT IT, IT'S GONNA PRODUCE WHAT'S

INSIDE OF IT.

THERE'S POWER IN THIS PEACH SEED TO PRODUCE PEACHES

A LITTLE 20-MINUTE SERMONETTE ON SUNDAY MORNING AND MAYBE

A 45-MINUTE TO AN HOUR VISIT IN A PLACE WHERE MAYBE YOU DON'T

EVEN KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON HALF THE TIME.

GOD WANTS TO BE IN EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE.

NOW, I JUST GOTTA READ THESE, BECAUSE THESE SCRIPTURES

SO SEE, THAT'S WHY WE NEED TO RESPECT THIS.

IN YOUR SPIRIT.

EVERYTHING IN YOUR DEEP SPIRIT, THE DEEPEST PART OF YOU,

IS ALL CLEANED UP.

IT'S HOLY, ON AND ON.

BUT THE SOUL CAN GIVE US A PROBLEM.

AND OUR SOUL IS LIKE THE SECOND COMPARTMENT OF OUR BEING.

IT WOULD BE LIKE THE SECOND DEEPEST PLACE IN US.

THE SPIRIT'S DEEPER, BUT THE SOUL IS NEXT, AND THAT'S

YOUR MIND, YOUR WILL, AND YOUR EMOTIONS.

IT'S HOW YOU THINK, WHAT YOU WANT, WHAT YOU FEEL, AND THAT'S

WHAT GIVES US TROUBLE.

THE MIND HAS TO BE RENEWED BY THE WORD OF GOD, THE WILL NEEDS

TO BE TURNED OVER TO THE WILL OF GOD, AND THE EMOTIONS NEED TO

NOT RULE US.

OH BOY, HERE IT COMES NOW.

THIS IS GETTING BETTER EVERY TIME.

GOD'S WORD STRENGTHENS US.

HOW MANY OF YOU NEED TO BE STRENGTHENED TODAY IN YOUR

AND SO, YOU MAY HAVE TO DO THE RIGHT THING FOR A LONG TIME

BEFORE YOU START GETTING A RIGHT RESULT.

BUT IF OUR HEART'S RIGHT, WE'LL DO THE RIGHT THING 'TIL JESUS

COMES BACK TO GET US IN FAITH THAT WHEN HE SHOWS UP, HE'S

COMING WITH MY FULL REWARD.

HOWEVER, I DON'T BELIEVE IT WILL TAKE UNTIL HE COMES BACK, BUT WE

HAVE TO LOOK AT IT LIKE THAT.

WE CAN'T BE SAYING, "WELL, I'M GONNA DO THIS FOR ANOTHER MONTH,

AND IF I DON'T GET A BREAKTHROUGH, THEN BLAH BLAH."

I REMEMBER A GIRL WHO CAME TO THE PLATFORM AFTER I SPOKE

ONE NIGHT, AND SHE HAD HER HANDS ON HER HIPS,

AND SHE SAID, "I WANT MY MONEY BACK."

I SAID, "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?"

SHE SAID, "LISTEN, I'VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 2 WEEKS, GIVING,

AND LISTENING TO YOU PREACH, AND NOTHING'S CHANGED YET."

AND I THOUGHT, "OH--" IT WAS HARD FOR ME NOT TO LAUGH

IN HER FACE, IF YOU WANNA KNOW THE TRUTH.

I MEAN, WE SPEND A LIFETIME GETTING IN A MESS, AND THEN

WE'RE MAD AT GOD IF WE READ THREE SCRIPTURES AND WE HAVEN'T

CHANGED.

SO, THE WORD OF GOD WILL STRENGTHEN US TO KEEP GOING.

IT WILL STRENGTHEN US NOT TO QUIT AND GIVE UP.

IT WILL STRENGTHEN US NOT TO GIVE IN TO TEMPTATION.

GOD, YOUR WORD IS MY STRENGTH.

NOW, HERE'S A SCRIPTURE, PSALM 119:28,

"MY LIFE DISSOLVES AND WEEPS ITSELF AWAY FOR HEAVINESS;

RAISE ME UP AND STRENGTHEN ME ACCORDING TO [THE PROMISES OF]

YOUR WORD."

HERE'S A GOOD ONE.

HOW MANY OF YOU HERE HAVE EVER DEALT WITH A HARD HEART,

YOU'VE EVER HAD A HARDNESS ON YOUR HEART?

OKAY. WELL, I DID.

I WAS ABUSED WHEN I WAS A CHILD, AND SO I HAD A HARD HEART.

YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES WHEN YOU GO THROUGH A LOT OF MISTREATMENT,

THE ONLY WAY YOU SEEM TO BE ABLE TO SURVIVE IT IS TO GET THIS

HARDNESS ON YOUR HEART THAT KINDA COMES LIKE, "I DON'T CARE.

I DON'T NEED PEOPLE.

YOU KNOW, WHO NEEDS YOU?

NOBODY'S GONNA TELL ME WHAT TO DO AGAIN."

AND SO, IN A WAY, YOU'RE PROTECTING YOURSELF, BUT THEN

WHEN YOU START TRYING TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND BEHAVE

LIKE A CHRISTIAN, YOU HAVE TO TRUST GOD TO MELT THAT

HARDNESS OFF OF YOUR HEART.

GOD'S WORD MELTS THE HARDNESS IN OUR HEART.

HERE IT COMES, PSALM 147:18, "HE SENDS OUT HIS WORD, AND MELTS

[ICE AND SNOW]."

WERE YOU LIKE A BLOCK OF ICE?

NO WARMTH IN RELATIONSHIPS.

HE MELTS THOSE COLD, HARD HEARTS.

"HE CAUSES HIS WIND TO BLOW, AND THE WATERS FLOW."

NOW, YOU PROBABLY WON'T CARE MUCH FOR THIS, BUT IT'S IN HERE,

SO I PROBABLY NEED TO TELL IT TO YOU.

THE WORD OF GOD OFTEN BRINGS PERSECUTION.

SEE, SOMETIMES WHEN YOU FIRST START TRYING TO STUDY THE WORD,

THE ENEMY WILL LAUNCH AN ATTACK AGAINST YOU TO SEE IF YOU REALLY

MEAN BUSINESS.

MARK 4:17, "AND THEY," IT'S TALKING ABOUT SOME OF THE GROUND

THAT THE WORD OF GOD IS SOWN INTO.

IN MARK, THERE'S DIFFERENT TYPES OF GROUND THAT THE WORD IS

SOWN INTO.

"AND THEY HAVE NO REAL ROOT IN THEMSELVES, AND SO THEY ENDURE

FOR A LITTLE WHILE; AND THEN WHEN TROUBLE OR PERSECUTION

ARISES ON ACCOUNT OF THE WORD, THEY IMMEDIATELY ARE OFFENDED

(THEY BECOME DISPLEASED, INDIGNANT, RESENTFUL) AND THEY

STUMBLE AND THEY FALL AWAY."

YOU SEE, WHEN I BEGAN TO SERIOUSLY STUDY THE WORD OF GOD,

I STARTED LOSING FRIENDS.

CHRISTIAN FRIENDS.

YOU SAY, "WELL, WHY WOULD YOU LOSE CHRISTIAN FRIENDS?"

BECAUSE NOT ALWAYS DOES EVERYBODY WANT TO BE--EVERYBODY

WHO IS A CHRISTIAN IS NOT A COMMITTED, SERIOUS CHRISTIAN.

I ALWAYS SAY SOME PEOPLE HAVE ENOUGH OF JESUS TO STAY OUT OF

HELL, BUT NOT ENOUGH TO WALK IN VICTORY.

AND SO, WHEN YOU DECIDE, "I'M GONNA WALK IN VICTORY," THE

ENEMY DOESN'T WANT THAT FOR YOU.

THAT'S THE LAST THING HE WANTS FOR YOU, SO HE WILL BRING ATTACK

CRITICISM, HE'LL BRING JUDGMENT.

PEOPLE WILL TELL YOU YOU'RE A RELIGIOUS FANATIC AND ALL KINDS

SO, STAND STRONG.

How Long Can We Live? - Duration: 3:22.

Hi, this is Emily from MinuteEarth.

Not to sound super morbid, but with each passing second of life, the cells in our bodies accrue

a little more damage, which is at least partly why, as people get older, their odds of dying

increase: today, a 40 year-old has a .3% chance of dying in the next year, while a 60-year

old has a 1% chance of dying in the next year, an 80 year old has a 5 percent chance, and

a 100-year-old has a 50% chance.

But around that age, there's some evidence that the odds of dying level off.

So, what would make the mortality curve flatten out like that?

Well, ne theory is that it has to do with natural selection and bad jeans – the other

kind.

Take a hypothetical gene mutation that proves fatal during childhood.

Because it kills its host before they get old enough to reproduce, it never gets passed

on – natural selection weeds it out.

On the other hand, a nasty mutation that tends to kill people after they grow up and reproduce

can get passed on, but here's where things get complicated, because human kids depend

on their parents for survival.

So a bad gene that tends to kill relatively young adults is also likely to indirectly

kill their young kids, and thus be weeded from the gene pool, too.

But a bad gene that kills slightly older adults has a lower chance of indirectly killing their

slightly older, more self-sufficient kids, and thus has a lower chance of getting weeded

out of the gene pool, and a gene that kills even older adults has an even lower chance

of also killing their kids.

In short, natural selection's ability to eliminate harmful genes gets lower and lower

as the age at which those genes strike gets higher and higher.

And this could explain the weird death rate curve.

Like, think of natural selection as a magical force field that protects people from the

grim reaper, but it gets weaker as people get older, so their odds of dying go up.

Eventually, the force field wears off entirely, so while people's chances of dying at that

age are really high, they don't go up any further because there's no protection left

to lose.

And if the death rate really does level out - say, somewhere around 50 percent once we

hit 100 years of age - how long humans can ultimately live is just a numbers game: right

now, there are about half a million hundred-year-olds on Earth.

If half of them die each year, only about 15 thousand will make it to 105, only about

500 will make it to 110,and odds are none of the current centenarians will beat the

old-age record of 122 . But if we count all 7.7 billion people living on the planet today,

odds are that 15 people will beat that record – and one lucky human will live to the ripe

old age of 127.

bank even if there's no direct connection setup so I'm going to show

you how to do that first you're going to log into your bank

you're gonna go try and see if you can download the data because it's just

faster and easier if you go to download you'll get different types of files Xero

takes o FX q FX QB o Qi f and CSV in my experience if you can grab one of these

quicken or QuickBooks files it actually is going to go a lot faster you won't

have to do quite as much data manipulation in fact I don't think you

can do data manipulation you download it you import it and it works but I want to

show you how to use the CSV file because even if you download and here let me

just pop over here and do it so when you download this file it's gonna give you

dates and descriptions and amount you'll notice that all the expenses are

negative numbers and there aren't any positive numbers here if there was like

a payment or something like that it would show up as a positive number so

you just need to be aware of that the good thing about CSV files is you don't

even need to download it from anywhere you could just like pull open your Excel

program or Google sheets type in some information that you need into your

system really quickly and then download it as a CSV and pop it into Xero so

that's exactly what we're gonna do here you'll notice that all these dates the

years have four digits that is easier for the system to understand but we're

just going to take this raw thing that they sent over and we're going to import

it so so you can get here from either the

dashboard or you go to manually import statement or you can find a drop-down to

import a statement it all get you to the same place which is this screen that

says import bank transactions you can download a CSV template if you want to

but you don't need to because you you're gonna map where all the different fields

are gonna go so it doesn't really matter what order it's in and we're just gonna

go find that file okay so I found the file and I'm gonna import it and it'll

take you to a screen that's really pretty straightforward if you need help

you can look at their little getting started guide but here's basically what

you care about you want to record your transaction based on the transaction

date the description you might want as description or you might want it as

payee it kind of depends how the information downloaded actually I'll

just press description the only two fields that you really definitely need

are the amount and the date everything else is kind of superfluous it helps but

it's not necessary and actually if you have an account code and you've got a

tax type it does something super cool which you can see in this tips video

right here okay so after you've looked at this you can look down here and see a

preview here if the transaction is showing up as a debit and it's an

expense then you know you've got stuff going the right way if however this is

showing up as a credit and shows up over here you want to cancel this change the

signs on your CSV file and try doing it again

okay so in this case we're just going to import this actually and you can scroll

through and you can see how everything is going to come through just so you can

make sure that you like how it looks so when you hit save it's going to give you

a little window that says hey we imported everything and nothing was a

duplicate yay and you say okay and then once that happens you'll have exactly

the view that you would have if it was directly connecting to the bank and

pulling in feed from there okay so that's really

quick and easy let me show you one bonus tip

which will help you if you happen to have a CSV file so let's let's pretend

actually imma show you how to undo this - lets go to bank statements and go to

statements if you click on that it gives you a list of all the transactions let's

say you accidentally imported this twice we're just going to delete the entire

statement and it's gone and you can just start over so it's nice and clean and

easy like that but let's say when we went to import it all the all the digits

like all the signs were going the wrong way

okay I'm going to show you how to fix that okay so I went in this file I

changed all the signs so they're positive instead of negative that we're

importing this file again with the signs changed when we import it you'll notice

first of all it's going to entirely skip that screen with the mapping on it

because Xero already knows it says hey I've seen this file before I know how to

map stuff already because you already told me so if you're always importing

things in the same format then you can skip that step second thing I want to

point out is that all of the transactions are now showing up as

received money instead of as spent money as it had been before which makes sense

because we changed the sign so that's what you would expect but let me show

you one other thing so what happens if you import the statement and then you

realize after you've imported it oh I meant for the transaction or for the

description field to be the payee or you know something got mapped wrong well if

it skips that mapping field then you're kind of like uh what do I do

that's not good okay so I'm actually gonna go in here and delete what we did

just so that I can start over again and delete that entire statement all right

so let me show you what you need to do okay so here's your file actually I'm

going to change these back to what it was before just cuz I'm an

accountant and stuff like that bugs me this is fake data I'm not even using it

in the file but you know alright okay so what you want to do is you want to trick

the system and what we're gonna do is we're gonna switch the columns around so

that it thinks that it's a whole new file and I would recommend changing this

first column for sure I'm not exactly exactly positive how it figures it out I

just know like if I just move some stuff around it kind of blows its mind and and

things about it so okay okay I'm going to actually add in a new column here

with a new heading just to make it even more confused and there you go so shift

the columns around add in a new column maybe change the name of the headings

like just do do what you can to just confuse zero but if you just shift it a

little bit then it will redo the mapping and you can fix it and see it's back to

Underground Temple Of Secret Rituals - Telangana, India - Duration: 4:28.

Hey guys, this is an ancient underground temple near Warangal Fort, it doesn't have a name

and is completely abandoned.

This is an isolated place and gets no visitors and is estimated to be at least 800 years

old.

I am gonna take you inside the temple and we can see some very strange details and secret

rituals happening inside the temple.

The temple is located at the underground level, and there is only one side that this completely

open, and on all the other sides, it is totally covered with dirt.

It has a very low ceiling, and it gets lower and lower as we go into the main chambers.

What's really fascinating is that, this place shows evidence of strange rituals.

On the floor, you can see a lot of chicken feathers, alcohol bottles, and pieces of lemon

stuck on a thin rod.

Of course we can assume that some guys were just drinking and cooking here, but you can

also see religious items like saffron powder strewn all over the floor, and also matchsticks

and candles.

This means there was some kind of a black magic ritual performed here.

Locals say that a group called 'Kapalikas' gather here during new moon nights and indulge

in strange rituals including meat eating and drinking.

The term Kapalika means "Skull-Men", these people carry human skulls and are sometimes

even known to worship skulls.

Remember, I showed you the temple of crystal skull a few weeks back?

This temple is very similar in appearance to that one, and I think there could be a

connection between the two.

What's intriguing about this temple is that even though it is abandoned, it doesn't have

any bats, but is home to a lot of insects, here is a lizard and as we go into the main

chamber, we begin to see a lot of spider webs.

There are huge spiders all over the walls.

The entrances are very short, less than 5 feet.

This chamber has no deities, no idols and is completely empty.

The only fascinating part is the ceiling which has a nice spiral design.

But this temple has 2 main chambers and I am gonna go inside the next chamber and try

to identify what the main deity would have been.

You can see that the floor of this chamber is completely destroyed, but this broken uprooted

stone structure is actually a lingam.

So, this was definitely a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

I wonder why these stone structures were completely demolished and why this temple was abandoned.

You can see rich paintings on the walls and the ceiling, and this must have been a very

beautiful place with lots of visitors, many centuries ago.

And I have already shown you these pillars, made of multiple blocks and how they were

joined in my previous video.

I hope someday, the government can restore this temple to its original shape.

The UAE Is Winning The War In Yemen | Yemen 11 - Duration: 4:30.

Hey there.

The missiles that keep raining down on Saudi Arabia make it clear that that country's

three year adventure in Yemen has been a complete failure.

But the Saudis have an ally that's also trying to take Yemeni territory, and they

are not failing.

Today we are going to talk about what the United Arab Emirates is doing to Yemen.

Those who oppose the war on Yemen talk a lot about Humanitarian issues, as we should.

But in our last Yemen video we covered something we should pay more attention to, and that's

the way that the Saudi coalition's failed war on Yemen flagrantly breaks one of international

law's most important traditions.

It's basically a war of conquest.

Saudi Arabia's war of conquest is failing.

The UAE's is not.

You can find all kinds of interesting reporting that suggests that Saudi Arabia's Crown

Prince Muhammad Bin Salman is being manipulated by the UAE's crown Prince, Muhammad Bin

Zayed.

I don't know how much of that I believe, but if you look at the current map of the war

in Yemen it looks a lot more likely.

The Saudis are spending billions of dollars a month to get missiles dropped on their cities,

while the UAE is running off with some of the most strategic territory in the world.

The Saudis are focused on crushing the Houthis, who control most of the parts of Yemen that

aren't desert.

This conflict is a savage meat grinder, but the front lines haven't moved in a significant

way in years.

What's much more interesting is what's happening to the parts of Yemen the Houthis don't control.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE are supposedly allies in this conflict, but it doesn't really look

like that on the ground.

Saudi Arabia and the United States like to pretend that President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi

is in control of the parts of Yemen that aren't controlled by the Houthis.

This was never true.

He has spent the majority of the conflict in Saudi Arabia, and in January 2018 his forces

lost control of Aden, the supposed capital that the Saudi coalition had captured for

him in 2015.

But this president of nothing wasn't kicked out of Aden by the Houthis, he was defeated

by militias sponsored by the United Arab Emirates.

All the most useful bits of Yemen are beginning to look similar.

Each non Houthi province is run by a different, highly complex mix of groups, some of which

are sponsored by Saudi Arabia and some by the UAE.

In some provinces the different groups work well together, and in some provinces they

fight each other.

Saudi supported forces tend to dominate in the provinces where the fighting against the

Houthis is fiercest.

The UAE is playing a longer game.

Aden, which their forces now mostly control, used to be one of the most important ports

in the world.

When the UAE fights, it focuses on the coasts and Islands that sit on one of the world's

most important trading routes.

For decades now the UAE has been trying to set itself up as the crossroads of the world,

with ports airlines and commercial hubs like Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Some claim that they are interested in crushing Yemeni shipping competition.

The UAE may or may not be able to use this war to permanently take Yemeni territory,

but they are definitely trying to do so.

Recently Saudi Arabia has been pushing back against this a bit, landing troops on Socotra,

an island that the UAE took from Yemeni forces a couple months back.

But that's not the only Yemeni island the UAE controls, and they are also getting more

powerful on the coasts.

While Saudi Arabia and the US get more and more caught up in their unwinnable war against

the Houthis, the UAE is quietly building an Empire on one of the world's most important

sea routes.

That's not something that should be happening in 2018.

the battle of hastings 1066 following the death of King Edward the Confessor

in January of 1066 a succession struggle began Harold Godwinson was crowned King

of England shortly after Edwards death but faced invasions by William of

Normandy his own brother Tostig and the Norwegian King Harald Hardrada

Harold had spent mid 1066 on the south coast with a large army and fleet

waiting for william to invade learning of the norwegian invasion he rushed

north gathering forces as he went defeating them at the Battle of Stamford

Bridge on the 25th of September with both Hardrada and Tostig being killed

the English victory came at a great cost as Harold's army was left in a battered

and weakened state while Harold and his forces were recovering William of

Normandy landed his invasion forces in the South of England at Pevensey on the

28th of September of 1066 Harald was forced to march swiftly gathering his

forces once again eventually Harold met William just outside of Hastings at a

little town called Battle on the 14th of October of 1066 Harold had taken a

defensive position at the top of Slenac Hill about six miles from Williams

hastily built castle at Hastings there his men formed a seemingly impregnable

shield wall his army was primarily composed of foot soldiers with his housecarls

being the elite units of his army it was estimated in total Harold had

between 7,000 to 12,000 men although a majority of his army were raw recruits

Williams army on the other hand was much more complex the army consisted of

cavalry infantry and archers about equal numbers of cavalry and archers whilst the

infantry numbered the same as both the archers and cavalry combined overall it

is estimated William had around 5,000 to 13,000 amenities disposal the battle

opened with Norman archers shooting uphill at the English shield wall to little effect

that the lack of English archers hampered the norman archers as there were

few english arrows to be gathered up and reused after the attack from the arches

williams sent the spear men forward to attack the english they were met with a

barrage of Spears axes and stones the infantry was unable to force openings

in the shield war and the cavalry advanced in support

the cavalry also failed to make headway and a general retreat began a rumor

started that the duke had been killed which added to the confusion the English

forces began to pursue the fleeing invaders but William rode through his

forces showing his face and yelling that he was still alive the duke then

led a counter-attack against the pursuing English forces some of the

English rallied before being overwhelmed seeing how easily the raw recruits of

the English had abandoned the hilltop William decided to order another charge

and then a false retreat this occurred several times and eventually wore down

the English Housecarl units with the English lines weakened the Normans

finally managed to break through onto the anglo-saxon shield wall harold

fought bravely until he finally was shot in the eye by an arrow while

simultaneously being hacked to pieces by a Norman Knight with their King dead the

rest of the anglo-saxons began to flee after further marching and some

skirmishes William was crowned as king on Christmas Day of 1066 thus bringing

an end to the succession crisis of that year well thank you for watching and
