Hi everyone and welcome to our tiny home on wheels.
My name is Lee, I am from Barrie, Ontario, in Canada.
I am Max, I am from Wangaretta, Victoria, in Australia.
And this here is Occy, he is also from Australia.
So we are currently leaving from Guatemala.
We have driven from Canada and were continuing down to Panama and potentially further.
We are doing it all in this tiny home, we also converted ourselves.
It is a 2006 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter – we chose this model because they were super reliable
and they are able to go and go essentially.
And they are also very economical, which is very important to us.
Welcome to the cockpit guys, you may not believe it but this used to be an old electrician van.
When we bought it, it was bare bones.
We spent three months searching on every online platform to find a van that is perfect for us
and we are really happy we took that time to make sure it met all of our needs.
We wanted to keep the van really stealth and continue for look like an electrician's van from the outside
and from a simple glimpse inside.
And since we love to eat while we are on long road trips too, let me show you where we do all the prep in the kitchen.
Welcome to our kitchen area.
Firstly, what makes a continuing need to us is this galvanized top that we turned into a sink.
We love it because it is huge, it can fit a lot of dishes or, if you want to, we can wash a laundry in the sink.
Next, what we like is, that we didn't design a permanent cook top inside because we actually love to cook outside
and we try to cook outside as much as possible.
So this is our outdoor cooking area, we have an unfold table, that just has a ledge.
We place the cooker over here and on the right side is where we get the propane from,
that comes and attaches to the cooker.
On the left here is where we fill up our forty liter tank of water underneath.
We do have a food-grade hoe that we use and we can just fill up from most any tops that we find.
So as for overhead cupboards up here we do keep more of our day to day useful items.
On the left side is our cutlery, fruits and vegetables.
In the middle is more of the spices and ingredients for cooking
and on the right here we have our toothbrush and baby wipes, which are quite essential
when you don't have a permanent shower in your van and just other things that we use day to day.
These gas treads here keep the doors open and also do a really good job keeping them closed
Which is quiet essential when you are going on a long road trip like we are
and you are going on a lot of bumpy roads, so they will never open.
In terms of storage areas in the van we have actually a few important ones.
Lee and my perspective on which is the most important is very different.
For myself it's definately these two surfboards over here.
For Lee the most important aspect of storage was these two cupboards
These floor to ceiling cupboards are pretty unique for van layouts.
We wanted to make it feel like home but also Lee wanted to make sure that there is enough room in the van for everything to have its place.
Our van electrical system has two 100 volt solar panels on the roof,
that charge two six golf cart batteries, that house underneath the van.
Welcome to our living room /dining room / bedroom.
A couple of things that makes this room unique for us is that we designed the van to have an open layout concept.
We wanted to be able to walk to both doors and have the space to flow and function optimally.
Something else that is a little bit unique is that we actually put a fridge underneath this L-shape couch here.
It does not only serve as more seating space for us,
it also allows us to have a bigger fridge than we could have fit in our kitchen.
As for the table top, this in addition is an absulute game changer.
Now we are going to show you how we transform our living room in our bedroom space.

what's going on guys we're back the house that we've been to before we're
gonna see an update on it

alright guys we made it back up into the burn old house this is upstairs
nothing's really changed it's just more destroyed things essentially like out
back windows destroyed I'm gonna go check out the basement because I'm
feeling that might be where more things have been destroyed but we'll see no
somebody's starting to smash the chandelier is starting to fall apart
bedrooms here it's still nothing much in them all opened up and left out I have
to hold it up there in the back room you guys have seen as well and keep working
her way down as you can see every time we come in
here more and more wood panelling have been moved and swapped out it seems
of course the living room area back there with the secondary room
you should creepy little tunnel way back there guys from of the tunnel all the
way back there and then the tops been put on it hey this place has definitely
been torn out a bit maybe somebody's coming in for copper cabling or
something it seems like either way guys I hope you enjoyed this one it's just a
quick update just want to check it out see what's all in here we're gonna off
to our next location we're going back up
and of course the kitchen Ghul still here
it's still not too bad in kitchen either stair the Nutcracker and cracker back
there
so one more place on the checkout is in here this is the spot that unfortunate
lost all my footage and I lost all the audio recording for it but this is the
sideburn and as you can see this place is fully stocked with everything you got
old Remington gun casings do-it-yourself encyclopedia books just to mix and match
your like everything you can think of in here lights panels things just hanging
for everything there's another suitcase using a video and just a stockpile of
everything and then of course guys as you know back there the extra burned
alright we're gonna do is real work which our next location I'll see you
there
yeah what is going on guys a knife got here we got another abandoned location
meet downstairs this place is quite aways outside of Ottawa we checked out
the first place so the old game masters house just to see what's up with that
what's changed or anything nothing new this location though is the basement of
a house from what I heard was I mean I guess office area sloshed construction
zone not too far this is their basement you got ceiling fan we got the coaches
all still after their lazy boys these big old computer towers printers
monitors everything left here even old family photos but they have a lotta mold
and stuff long as you can't really see the pictures over there they come back
here little bedroom in there little room wallpapered a little light in the back
there just another storage unit which has been completely walked off so won't
be there a little toilet down here also been smash dudes if they're working on
plumbing
and then another she might be able to make it back around here in this
direction as you can see not a whole lot back there so it's been gutted for the
most part the basement out of the room there the Ford it off windows you know
work way upstairs the paperwork as you can see that so I said it's an office
building a lot of written checks I guess never cashed anything like that
over this way this is the main floor so somebody's
definitely been working on it everything's all good it out not a whole
lot left with any of it but really good who knows huh little chandelier still
hanging wiring still all there this house is called the slow death so
apparently it's been here for years and years won't be here for much longer and
fortunately but just a quick walk through just want to guys quick update
we found this house figure - check it out it's not a whole lot to look at as

Challenge Review for the NASA Frontier Development Lab.
It was an intensive eight week research program and workshop
that applied AI to challenges faced in space exploration.
Nine teams from the AI machine learning community
work to research their chosen topics.
The program included 36 researchers,
representing 16 countries and 28 universities
covering five research domains.
The research participants implemented
AI to do all kinds of things, such as predicting
solar activity, mapping lunar poles,
building 3D models of potentially
hazardous asteroids.
The opportunities are endless.
