Sori's YouTube Channel

Dear viewers of "Sori Not Sorry: " Hello everyone, this is Sori.

Sori here.

I'm going to try out something different today,

and I would like to talk about my solo artist career.

Some of the viewers already know,

I have been to London recently for latex outfits, hit the recording studio, and watched Shakira's concert in Barcelona.

Not to mention a bikini haul for the music video and behind the scene footages from the music video set.

You might have come across these videos about my solo career,

or some interview footages from my showcase.

Maybe you have read some news articles about me.

Since this solo debut means a lot to me,

today, I would like to discuss it with you guys in more detail.

I believe there are several of you who have known me even before CoCoSoRi days,

but those who have not are the majority.

Since I assume a lot of you have recently found out about me after the solo debut, I would like to introduce myself first.

I was born in July 21st, 1990 in Seoul.

Since I spent my childhood at my grandma's in Gangwon Province, sometimes the province feels like my hometown,

but I was born in Seoul.

I am 28 years old International, 29 Korean.

I personally think that age doesn't bear particular significance,

but people tend to grow physically and mentally as time passes, so even though it hasn't been long,

I believe that tons of changes have taken place in my lifetime.

If I were to tell you my life story from the moment of my birth, a whole day wouldn't be enough,

so what about I start my story from the autumn last year?

I debuted as the half of duo, "CoCoSoRi" in 2016.

After the debut, I auditioned and trained for a Korean drama "The idolm@ster.KR"

and was starred in as one of the characters in the show. I spent total of 1 and a half years shooting for the show.

While the show was being televised, I joined the group R.G.P and B-SIDE and appeared on TV.

We started discussing the comeback of CoCoSoRi towards the end of the show's run, which was the last fall.

While Coco appeared in a couple episodes of the TV show,

she opened up her own YouTube channel, and been showing her prowess as a web personality,

and released her first solo single "Wishy Washy," to become a solo artist first.

While we were discussing the debut of "CoCoSoRi,"

the casting calls for audition shows such as "The Unit" of KBS and JTBC's "MIXNINE" have started.

This was a good opportunity even for those who have debuted on stage.

CoCoSoRi would eventually consider that option as well.

I initially thought that returning back to trainee days was really tough,

but to appear on audition-based show with this chance,

would be a beneficial experience in a long run, I thought.

So, Coco starred in KBS's "The Unit,"

and some of you might know already,

Some co-stars of our drama "The idolm@ster.KR" appeared in "The Unit" as well.

While the other members including myself appeared in "MIXNINE."

if you check out the 2nd episode of "MIX NINE" you'd be able to find a footage of an audition being held at my company,

The judge's comment saying "Isn't it time for you (Sori) to retire" has gone viral,

and after that I sang my original song "Song To Myself" in front of the crowd

shedding some tears.

I believe this experience has made me realize that I have to work harder, and became a source of motivation.

As the show "MIX NINE" progressed, I spent time with many other girls, did assignments, and waited for good results patiently for a couple months,

I didn't have much time to think about anything else,

back then, I did a performance of "Greedy" by Ariana Grande on stage.

This is an afterthought that I came across way later, but after watching the performance, the president of my company started considering a solo artist career for me.

I found about this way much later.

I think I displayed an image or concept so different from the ones that I have already shown before.

and maybe led him to that thought, I assume.

By the time "MIX NINE" was coming to its end, we started working on CoCoSoRi's new single, "Mi Amor."

Even though "Mi Amor" had a different vibe from the other songs that CoCoSoRi has performed before,

but I think we did pretty well for ourselves, maintaining bright and upbeat atmosphere.

After that, Coco was preparing some other song for her second single, but I don't think she actually ended up choosing another song.

Around the same time,

A long discussion between me and my boss was coming to an end and started preparing for my solo artist career,

and this channel that you're currently watching has been launched.

To prepare for my solo career, I started taking many lessons such as vocal training,

and started working out as well.

As a newly-minted solo artist, I had much room for improvement

I looked up many footages online about solo female musicians and did a lot of research.

I studied how to express myself through body language by watching music videos,

and I went to see a live concert of Katy Perry, who I admired since high school days

to up my motivation

I visited 2 different producers to talk about my solo debut single,

and started having meetings about outfit, music video, and choreography

A lot of preparation is needed to become a solo artist.

and I have prepared those elements through lots of research and discussions.

To elaborate more in detail,

I practiced a lot of my poses and facial expressions

and as you can come across through my channel, I have taken lessons like bass guitar and piano.

If I were to perform on a bigger stage, I would be able to play those instruments while performing my songs, I thought.

So I worked hard for several months to get ready for my solo career.

A solo artist has to sing, pose, and act on stage or in front of the camera,

and display all of his/her talent to the crowd, right?

And one's visual appearance matters especially to solo artists.

I ended up doing more research, discussions, and pondering to that extent.

While there are many idol groups in Korea, solo artists who sing, act, and dance all by themselves are few and far between, I came to realize.

To become a solo dance artist

is very difficult in this soil, and to be well-known is more challenging.

So before the decision was made,

and kept my mouth shut until everything was certain. knowing that I might give up midway through.

I wasn't going to retire and stop singing just because the preparation phase was difficult.

Since giving up after making the announcement would be poorer in form,

my company also decided to keep things confidential before set dates were announced as well.

Only a handful of people knew about the solo debut.

Once we've made a certain amount of progress in my solo debut, an idea of using MAKESTAR

as a crowdfunding platform was brought up.

so that those who support me around the world can join in.

To release a song in this industry, a solo artist must have outfits, choreography, a song, and a music video

and multiple expenditures to appear in many TV programs.

Even though to meet all the expenditures would be impossible through crowdfunding,

that was the moment that I realized there a lots of people in this world who would like to support my endeavor.

Approximately $7,000 was our target goal, but we ended up reaching over 300% by the time we have reached the end of the campaign.

I was aware that my solo debut process would require many people's

sweat, committment and hard work,

but at the same time, I wondered if

there would be people out there to support me when I returned to stage.

I actually thought that this campaign would fail.

However, a lot of people would end up supporting me exceeding the target amount

I am very grateful of the support, and to find out that the people from over 18 different countries have participated in this

was a huge surprise and something to show my gratitude for.

I bet some of those supporters I would not likely to physically come across and vice versa due to the distance.

But to support me despite all that, has touched me greatly.

I thought I have to work harder to pay them back.

Your supports were a huge source of my energy. Thank you so much.

So my solo debut date was set,

My first single "Touch" was released and its accompanying music video was revealed as well.

What came after was a showcase.

That was my first showcase in such a long time, and it was actually my first doing all by myself.

Upon pondering which outfit to wear for my performance,

I ended up wearing the outfit that I wore for the group dance scene in the music video and the cover image shoot.

which is the white latex outfit.

I wore two different body suits, one going inside of the other.

I wore fishnet stockings over a pair of regular stockings as well.

With the outfit on, I stood in front of you on stage.

Many articles and photos were published.

By simply just reading the article, you only get to experience one side of the story, even before listening to the song.

The outfit definitely has gone viral.

After a long consideration and discussion, I decided on putting the outfit to show myself as a solo artist for the first time,

but to summarize all that by saying "Oh, she's just wearing swimming suit with fishnet stockings!"

I have come across quite a few people who share that opinion.

Many people seem to have negative point of view towards not only me, but towards my company as well.

I initially was thankful for the attention, despite its negative tendencies,

and I was partially ready for this backlash.

To have this much of public attention as a lesser known celebrity,

I know some people would look at me strangely, or have critical and negative opinion towards me.

However, since I'm a human being, and so are many co-workers at my company, to witness such negative comments have hurt us.

It was hurtful, and to receive such reaction after all the hard work put in frustrated us.

We have gone all the way to London to get these outfits for the music video.

Even though I am not particularly famous,

the outfits were worn by many famous people, so I wore them with pride.

However, the returning reaction was very cold.

I was very upset...

It felt like what I worked on all these years collapsing.

But after some thoughts,

I wanted to show you a different side of me that has never been seen before,

in both the music video and at the showcase.

So, to fit the song,

that was different from all the other releases I've done before,

I prepared an appropriate choreography as well.

However, since I am not particularly well-known to the crowd,

I heard lots of blame from the public.

If a current famous figure in the music industry

were to put on a sexy outfit,

and to dance on stage,

People would be able to support him or her more easily,

since they recognize the pre-established reputation.

But Since I have not reached that level of popularity, I thought I might have received such a backlash.

Among the comments were "Is this company seriously stooping this low to make money?"

"Is she seriously doing THIS to gain popularity?" to list a few.

Even though I might be that personality on stage,

in real life I don't dress like that. I have a separate personality that is disparate from the stage persona.

Which I think is the reason why I could be a bolder personality on stage.

The outfits and choreography were not decided by myself, but with a long discussions and meetings with the members of my company.

A few people shared their negative opinions towards my company saying it's too small,

but because my company have so few workers, we were able to communicate and get to know each other better.

So, this project was agreed on mutually.

The music video, outfits, and choreography were agreed upon many considerations.

Even though I have tried out a bunch of different concepts,

but to debut as a solo artist with the same cute and innocent image,

wouldn't make me grow particularly,

and since the viewers and surrounded by so many other talents,

to just show my plain Jane self wouldn't be good enough to gather attention.

So this time around, with my solo debut, I wanted to show you a grown up and more experienced SoRi.

I think that these articles and reactions were

in part some degrees of attention to my outfits, showcase footage, and the music video.

Since coming across the article isn't the same from listening to the song, one would judge the book by its cover,

But to become such an issue...

"we're half-way to success!" I decided to take it positively after talking to the president of the company.

I assume there are some people who recently found out about me through these media outlets,

To those people, I would like to show them what my everyday self is like, how each preparation was done.

I can seize this opportunity and promote myself to those people.

I have various feelings with this particular experience,

I once again learned that I still have lots of room to improve,

and what I can do to fix those issues as well.

In order to stand in front of you more confidently, I still need more preparation.

and more practice, I came to a realization.

My solo debut single "Touch" is a really good song as well,

I hope you enjoy listening to it, and this is definitely not the end.

I would like to come back with a better and more favorable song the next time around.

I have garnered lots of inspiration after seeing Shakira's "El Dorado" tour,

Even as a woman, Shakira is very sexy, but at the same time, she is very innocent and pure whenever she shows her smile.

Sexy, but bright and cheerful... Shakira is an artist that makes people happy.

As I was watching her perform, I thought to myself it'd be nice to become a musician whose songs are sung along and bring joy to them.

Across all genders and age groups, even some young kids were dancing to the song at the concert.

I was so jealous but couldn't help myself admiring such a scene.

I would like to find the unique charm of my own, and would like to perform on a stage like that.

Even though age could be important

but I think it's not as important as the dreams and work I would like to achieve in the future.

As a human being, I also sometimes doubt myself, and get frustrated.

I get upset and feel despair too.

I am putting efforts of my own to overcome the challenge and become a better person every day.

Thank you for listening to this ramble,

and Thank you for your support in advance, as I transform and become a person that you'd be proud of.

Through the recent incident, lots of new people get to know me,

and might harbor negative opinions about me after finding out through some media platforms,

I would like to work harder so that I could convert them too.

I will work harder!

I have been thanking my fans all the time,

but today I would like to thank the president of my company, who has been through lots of ups and downs starting from my debut.

Because of the recent backlash, he must be going through some tough time as well,

I would like to thank him, and sail through this storm together!

Let's come up with something new! We can do this, boss!

I would also like to thank the dedicated staff members at my company,

producing duo Gamenrider for the wonderful song,

Director Hong at Zany Bros and his staff members for the great music video,

and Choi Hyojin of 1Million Dance Studio, who came up with the awesome choreography. I love you all!

My gratitude also goes to always hard-working stylists, who comes up with my outfits.

My thanks also goes to Atsuko Kudo, the designer for all the latex outfits that I wore.

And stage dancer crew, who have been through lots with me.

They have been very reliable, especially Eungyu. I would like to thank them as well.

Nakamura san, who photographed my album cover, thank you very much, sir!

I will continue giving my best! Fighting!

Soon enought, the weather's gonna get colder, and I hope you guys don't catch a cold.

This has been a long soliloquy about myself, but I bet you have gone through a lot as well.

many hardships and struggles have come to your way, but I hope you don't despair either.

I hope you stand back up and keep going your own way!

I will support your efforts, and I will go my own way as well!

I would like to thank my fans who have been supporting me for a long time,

I am still familiar Sori that you like, so I hope you send your love to me too!

Thank you so much for who watches "Sori Not Sorry's" videos, liking them, and communicating with me.

I will show more cool stuff in the future. Stay tuned! Thank you! Love you all!

Swiss TV marks 50 years of colour - Duration: 1:38.

We are pleased to announce the first in-house production

of Swiss television in colour.

From the Swiss Radio and Television Exhibition we broadcast "Dopplet oder nüt".

It was an achievement a long time in the making.

To broadcast colour television, technology had to be completely overhauled

and new cameras were needed.

In 1968 over 1 million Swiss households

already had a TV.

But TV sets that could show colours were still a rarity.

And they were expensive: CHF3,000, which was three months' wages at the time.

The experiment succeeded,

although viewing in colour was still a bit strange for everyone.

So much so that the host even had the feeling

that he had to describe the colours

to the viewers who didn't have a colour TV yet.

"Let's say I'm all blue,

well, not me, but the backdrop behind me."

"Explaining colour to a television audience

that mostly has black-and-white TV sets

is probably one of the most stupid things you can think of."

"And Vreni brings me the questions as usual,

and will assist me twice tonight,

because we have a rather special broadcast today.

A pencil, Vreni?"

Hermann Weber in his element.

"Dopplet oder Nüt" was a success story, in colour, too.

Trump Defends Brett Kavanaugh, Robots Suspended for Sexual Harassment - Monologue - Duration: 3:34.

-Let's get to the news.

While answering questions about

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's drinking habits,

President Trump today praised himself

for not drinking alcohol, adding,

"Can you imagine if I had? What a mess I'd be."

[ Laughter ]

I mean, yeah.

You'd be in and out of relationships,

you'd miss work all the time,

you'd slur your words,

and are you sure you don't drink?

[ Laughter ]

A college classmate of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh

has said that he often saw Kavanaugh

"staggering from alcohol consumption."

That's nothing.

I saw him screaming and crying at a job interview

while totally sober.

[ Cheers and applause ]

At a campaign rally this weekend,

President Trump said he "fell in love with"

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

[ Laughter ]

Well, that makes sense. He is 27.

[ Laughter and applause ]

13 people in New York today were stuck in a subway elevator

for one hour before police were able to rescue them.

But on the bright side, they still didn't miss their train.

[ Laughter ]

A company called Posh Pushers

has begun selling fashionable hospital gowns for women

to wear while giving birth for a more stylish experience.

Or for a truly stylish experience, never have kids.

[ Laughter and applause ]

Mountain goats -- Mountain goats in Washington state

are being air-lifted out of Olympic National Park

after their population developed a craving for human urine.

Said the scientist who made the discovery,

"It's not what it looks like."

[ Laughter ]

A man -- A man in New York has broken a state record

for growing the largest pumpkin, weighing in at 2,027 pounds,

though its doctor claims it's actually 239 pounds.

[ Laughter and applause ]

As long as I have the record.

A "Jeopardy!" contestant last week

made a surprise marriage proposal to his partner

who is sitting in the audience,

and then Alex Trebek said,

"Congratulations on your new 'fiancée.'"

[ Light laughter ]

That joke's been going exactly that badly all day.

[ Laughter ]

It's the hill I chose to die on.

[ Laughter ]

Fiancée.

'Cause Alex Trebek, when he gets a foreign word,

he likes to fancy it up with the pronunciation.

[ Laughter ]

That's why that joke's very good.

[ Laughter ]

That's -- That's why that's a very good joke.

[ Cheers and applause ]

What is no reaction?

[ Laughter ]

And finally, engineers in Japan have developed a humanoid robot

designed to work on construction sites.

In fact, the robots are so realistic,

they've already been suspended for sexual harassment.

СЫР Домашний, Традиционный Кавказский. ENG SUB. - Duration: 11:20.

Friends! We want to share the traditional Caucasus cheese recipe with you

We'll go to a highland village

Where you can still find such recipes

On our way there we'll pass picturesque places

That we must catch on camera

Kids, get in the car!

We've come to highland village Sanibah

Locals showed us a house where they make cheese

Let's go in and talk to them

Hello!

Hello, Elbrus!

We've heard you are making cheese

Yes! That's right. You are right on time!

Today Elbrus is going to help us make cheese

To do that we'll need real organic milk

To begin with we need to warm it up

The temperature reached 40 degrees C

And we'll add all-natural ferment

To make this kind of ferment

They use cleaned beef stomach and lacto serum

You need to stir really well

We can witness fermentation

And we have to wait for about 45 minutes

It depends on the stomach quality

There are good ones and bad ones

The bad ones come from fattened oxen

That were fed with brewery mash

And didn't move much

Those oxen have little ferments

Usually I use three stomachs

But if I get bad ones I need to use five instead

But the best stomach comes from nursing calf

One stomach of a nursing calf can have enough ferment

For 7 to 8 tons of milk

For example I use all the fermented serum

And then add more serum to the same bucket

And it lasts for a long time

The most important thing is tidiness

Right before making cheese I scrub my hands with a brush

And open the door using my elbow to not get my hands dirty

Milk needs to be dealt with tidiness

Hey puppies!

It's getting harder

During the process of fermentation

We'll go and check out the outdoors

Lift it up

Our milk clotted the way it has to

We need to stir it with bare hands

No blender, nothing like that

It has to stay granulated, not smooth

But before that properly wash your hands

Now we need to wait for 10-15 minutes

Our cheese will go down and serum will stay up

We'll pour out serum and then collect cheese

To make good cheese the milk has to be whole, with active cream

What I call active cream? It's the one that is collecting on milk surface

That I pour into a container

And passive cream is the one that is collecting on serum

And the taste our cheese gets from active cream

It stays in the cheese

That is why we make tasty cheese

What if you collect cream before making cheese?

This cheese is no good

They say that milk has too much fat

But without active cream cheese is not the same

You mean we can't find such cheese as yours in the market

I don't think so

That's why I have many clients

Last year I had 17 cows

And people were lining up to buy my cheese

And this year I told everyone that I don't have cows anymore

To stop them from bothering me

What if we leave it for far too long

If we do that the serum will "eat up" our cheese

And we'll get less cheese in the end

Don't leave it for more than 15 minutes after you stir the mass

I heard lacto serum is a very healthy product

Yes, I usually drink it instead of water

But the fresh one is like milk, I can't drink it

If it turns sour, then it's ok

And now we start collecting cheese

How much milk do you need to get 1 kg of cheese?

On the average around 10 liters of milk

How much milk do we have now?

Around 25 liters

This pot is 50 liters

In spring when the grass is new

Milk density is low

And we get 5 kg of cheese from this 50 liter pot

Even less sometimes

But now we get around 7 kilos

After we collected it, we put it into a strainer

The texture now is ideal, I can feel it with my hands

Don't warm milk too much because the cheese will be too stiff, like a rubber

I had encountered with such cheese, it is indeed like a rubber

Look now if I don't wash this pot in an hour

These cheese pieces will stick and I'll need an iron brush

Because there's too much calcium in this cheese

We can be sure that this cheese contains a lot of calcium

Tastes like mozzarella

I have no idea what mozzarella is

It's awesome, guys!

Now we need to turn it

Now we see the cheese structure

In about 2 hours I'll turn it one more time

And it'll stay in a strainer until tomorrow morning

It has to be done for the serum to separate

How old are you?

61

How many pull-ups do you do?

15 pull-ups

2 hours passed and we turned it several times

For it to be beautiful looking

Until tomorrow it has to stay like that

That's it we earned this head of cheese

Look what a tender texture

Authentic Ossetia pies are made with this kind of cheese

Tomorrow you'll need to get it out of strainer

Put it into this bowl, salt it

And put it into a warm place

Put it into this bowl, salt it

Because it need to ferment a little

Then it'll have holes in it

If it stays in a cold place there won't be any holes

Fine

We got instructed well

And we'll take this cheese home

Good-bye uncle Elbrus!

Good-bye, sweethearts!

Thank you for cheese!

You are welcome!

I was not in it much, so... -Yeah.

-Yeah. It was all good, though. I did my part in the monologue

and I got to watch the circus unfold.

-There was a circus on Saturday. -Yeah.

-A Kanye West-led circus. -Yeah.

-Particularly at the end of the show, now he --

For those who didn't watch,

he did a song at the end of the show.

Then the show ended. -Yeah.

-But then it turned out that he brought a bunch of people on --

He brought the cast back on stage...

-Yeah, yeah.

-While he gave a very political speech.

-Yeah, he voiced his opinion very loudly. Yeah.

-Yeah. -For a long time.

-Not a guy who's scared of his opinion and voicing it.

-No, no, not at all.

And, you know, we're all entitled to our opinion.

-Sure. -I don't know if that's

the moment necessarily to hold people hostage like that.

[ Laughter ] But, hey, you know...

-Well, the thing about what -- I, you know, when I share

my opinion, one thing I try not to do is say,

"Come on, everyone. Come on up."

-Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. -"Come join me."

-Yeah. "Come into the wolf's den, and then I'll --"

-"You guys, you all disagree with me, right? Come up here."

-"Yeah. Yeah, come up here." -"Join me while I do this."

-"I'll be nice, I promise."

-"I promise I'll be nice." -"Get up here." Yeah, and then--

-"I'm lying." -Proceeds to caca on people.

Yeah, that's what he did. -You were not --

Because people, again, it was not...it was not on broadcast.

Some people filmed it. -Right.

-You were not on stage, I noticed.

-Yeah, I had departed. -Okay.

-Yes. -Now, was that a choice?

Did you chose to depart or you just departed by --

-I mean, I was just, you know, thinking that, you know,

I would rather, like,

watch the, you know, performance on TV.

Sometimes I like watching the musical performance...

-Of course. -...how everyone would see it,

like, on TV as a viewer.

And so then, when you saw what happened,

were you so happy with the choice you'd made?

[ Laughter ]

-For sure. Yes. -[ Laughs ]

-As soon as he said, "Hey, join me up on stage, everybody,"

I was like, "Oh, there goes the little cheese

in the mouse trap." [ Laughter ]

"It's going down."

I felt so bad for those guys, because it's hard to stand there

and not be able to, you know,

debate somebody who's going to so far

against, you know, your personal opinion as well,

and just stand there and take it. Just, you know...

-And, you know, the other thing is, I think that --

and you and I can both speak to this, at "SNL,"

you try make the people that are the musical guests, the hosts,

you try to make them comfortable.

-We're fair. Yeah, we're fair.

We're in the service business. You know what I mean?

We try to cater to the host, make sure they have a good show

and whatnot. And then, you know,

when musical guests come in, and they're a little bit crazy,

maybe they're a little bit crazy.

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-We let 'em have that. -Yeah.

-I mean, but we don't judge. -Absolutely.

-We're not there to judge.

-I had one of the most delightful things happen to me

on the street the other day. I was walking down the street.

I bumped into you and your baby girl Gianna.

-Yeah. On Super Daddy duty. That's right.

-Super Daddy duty. [ Cheers and applause ]

-Yeah, that's right.

-Oh! -There she is. Look at her.

[ Audience "Awws" ]

-[ Babbles ]

-So first of all, it's not 'cause you are --

you turned 40 this year. -Yes.

-You had your second little girl.

-Greatest summer of my entire life.

My second little girl was born. She's healthy. She's happy.

My wife is healthy and happy.

My big girl, Georgia, is healthy and happy.

She's 4. She's obsessed with her sister.

We got nominated and won an Emmy.

-You won an Emmy. -The show won an Emmy.

I got personally nominated. [ Cheers and applause ]

-Right. You, um...

You won a, uh... -Crazy.

-We won an Emmy. -You won an Emmy for this song?

-Yes. Thank you. Shout-out.

We shout-out K-Ci and JoJo all the time

because they were heavy inspirations for that.

-And that is -- You wrote a song with Chance the Rapper.

-Yeah, man. Shout-out to Chance the Rapper, man.

Once again, I got nominated the first time with Chance, so...

-Yeah. -...the dude is brilliant.

-Well, I -- you and I came by our Emmys in very similar ways,

which is, I won an Emmy

for writing a song with Justin Timberlake.

And I think the key is -- -Gotta pick a good horse.

-Yeah, exactly. -Gotta pick a good horse.

-No one, I feel like, is looking at

the ballot, being like, "Oh, I like Kenan Thompson's song."

-Yeah, exactly. No.

I picked two good horses -- Chance and Chris Redd.

-Chris Redd, absolutely. -Chris Redd is dynamite.

-He's fantastic. And what is it? Is it Chris' second season now?

-Yeah, man. The boy's blowing up. He's already got an Emmy.

-Very excited. Yeah. He's doing a great job.

-Unbelievable. -You -- you're very --

It was both -- it was bittersweet,

'cause you were nominated for supporting actor, you lost.

With that said, Henry Winkler won.

-That's what I'm saying, like... -Yeah.

-If there's anybody to lose to...

-It's Henry Winkler. -...it's Henry.

I mean, he was sitting right across the aisle from me. Yeah.

-Yeah, give it up for Henry Winkler.

-Seriously, like... [ Cheers and applause ]

His story is incredible.

He waited 42 years for that Emmy.

-Yeah. -You know what I mean?

He was nominated. -In the theater the whole time.

-Yeah. Right. Just sitting there that entire --

just ready. Speech written, getting dusty.

-Changing it, as it was. -Rewrites.

-He has new kids. Has to like -- -Oh, my God. But, yeah.

I mean, he sat right across the aisle from me.

And when I saw him, you know, I gave him, you know,

like, a nice across the aisle squeeze...

-Yeah. -...because he's a dear friend.

We worked on a show, an animated show called "Sit Down, Shut Up,"

and we were, like, faculty members or whatever.

And when I first met him, he was the sweetest,

little old Jewish man that I've ever seen in my life.

He was like a sweet little Jewish gumdrop.

You just want to, like, eat him up.

And he, like, just gave me a hug. And he's so warm.

And we talked. And I was just like,

"I can't believe I'm talking to Fonzarelli right now."

You know what I mean? -Yeah.

-He's talking to me like he knows me.

He's like, "We watch you all the time.

We love you in the Winkler house."

And then we were nominated in the same category.

And, like, that's just a flattery in its own right.

You know what I mean?

Just to be in the same sentence as that guy.

And he won. And it stung. You know?

-Yeah. [ Laughs ] -But, um... [ Laughs ]

I was so happy for him because I know how great he is.

And then I found out about, you know, the 42-year thing.

And I was like, "Well, yeah, of course he should have won."

-Yeah. -You know what I mean?

And then I said something nice to him

when I presented the award myself at the end of the night,

just because it came from the heart.

And I saw him sitting there. I congratulated him.

And he wrote me a letter. -That's so amazing.

-He sent me a letter.

Like, wrote me, like, a thank you letter.

-He's truly the nicest. -He's a sweet, sweet man.

It's one of those people, it would be so devastating

if you met Henry Winkler, and he wasn't the nicest person.

And he just -- -Ohh. It would suck so hard.

-It would suck so hard. [ Laughter ]

-Because, like, I could get it, like, if he was just The Fonz.

I was like, "Yeah, okay, he's kind of a tough guy."

But he also played, like, you know,

a lot of really sweet teachers. -Yeah, absolutely.

-And, like, a lot of good dads and stuff like that.

Especially in "Click." You know, Adam Sandler's dad.

Oh, my God. So sweet.
