Waching daily Oct 2 2018

- Hello, this is the BiXBiT final manual assembly-room.

Today we are having a large delivery…

Sergei, hi!

- Hi everyone

We are having a shipment right now. These are ASICs S9i.

They are for our customer, he needs a fully-equipped kit, as he doesn't have his own devices.

So we provide him with both: ASICs and cooling infrastructure.

- Plug-and-produce

- That's right. Mining equipment and cooling system.

100 ASICs, and it is only the first delivery lot

-Let's open one box

- Yep, let's open and look what's inside.

Here is our device

Here is a new ASIC S9i

- Let's see

- All information is here..

It is a new ASIC S9i with a cooler,

which will be dismounted soon and we will immerse the ASIC into our cell

-We will make a video about it, right?

- Sure, we will make a review of a Rack equipped with ASICs S9,

since last time we made a review of a Rack with ASICs A4.

Now we are assembling new Racks, we already have all necessary components.

By the way, these heat exchangers are customed on the client requirements.

He doesn't have an opportunity to use heat right now,

so the Racks will be provided with cooling towers, which will disperse generated heat into the environment.

But the client is going to utilize it in the nearest future:

he wants to warm the industrial premisses where his farms are located.

- Can we show our working ASICs S9 at the lab?

- Sure, why not. We have a cell where we experiment with equipment overlocking

- Let us see

- So, here we've got ASICs S9.

Power suppliers of 1.8 kW, they are connected to the ASIC here.

As I've said, those ASICs are being tested for overlocking. It is our test cell

- Kinda test unit

- Sorry for such a mess in here, it's something like creative chaos, you know.

The work is humming….

By the way these ASICs perform 17.5-17.9 TH/s working with suppliers of 1.8kwt capacity.

We will show you somehow

- Yes but not now. We don't have a monitor right now, but later... for sure...

- I think we can show the power suppliers closer...yeap...where are they…

Where are they...

- They a probably not here...

-- Got it. Here they are.

So, these blocks of 1.8 kW capacity perform 100-150 W more on immersion cooling.

We tested them on ASICs S9, not ASICs S9i or S9j, just S9 and they are able to operate at 17.5-17.9 TH/s without any difficulties.

Pretty good characteristics

- Great

- Moreover we are sure about the quality of these blocks as we took them apart and saw what's inside.

As a result, we made a pretty positive conclusion

- So, let's prompt our viewers to ask more questions, don't be shy..

- Sure, we are always open to your questions, always ready to show you everything that you are curious of

considering immersion cooling, mining equipment, or our products.

- Recently we've ordered ASIC S9 HYDRO.

We are going to make a review, examine it from all sides, consider its advantages and disadvantages,

compare it to immersion cooling...

May be we will share some insights from the blockchain conference in Tbilisi.

We were there and will be pleased to share with you the latest news in mining industry.

- I think that's enough for today. Thank you, see you soon

- Bye

Strong Relationship With GOD: Ep 75 Soul Reflections: BK Shivani (English Subtitles) - Duration: 29:07.

Greetings and welcome to Awakening With Brahma Kumaris.

Sister Shivani is with us. Welcome, Sister.

Om Shanti.

Om Shanti. Shall we study Murli today?

Definitely. The title of today's Murli (which is God's message) is

Become free of others opinions, thinking about other people and noticing them. Serve other people.

Free yourself from 3 habits pertaining to other people.

And do one thing.

Par-Mat, Par-Chintan and Par- Darshan

Par-Mat means other people's opinions.

Par-Chintan means thinking about other people.

Par-Darshan looking or noticing other people.

Free yourself from these and serve other people.

Just services but don't do the other three.

When do the first three things but do the other one thing.

God whom we lovingly call as Shiv Baba

The Murli says - today Baba is watching how all the children are wasting the time meant for self-transformation.

We want to work on ourselves.

We want to change our Sanskars.

Self-transformation is our aim.

But why are we wasting time?

Everyone wants that our time should be well utilised.

Whether it is self transformation or anything we are doing externally.

Today we all have a common line.

I am too busy, I don't have time.

We all want more time.

Because our time is not always getting utilised properly, it is getting wasted.

Baba says everybody wants their time to be well utilised.

But during the day, sometimes we waste half an hour

Or sometimes 15 minutes or even 5 minutes here and there.

So we keep wasting 30 minutes 15 minutes or 5 minutes.

What is the reason?

There are three reasons why self transformation is either slow or blocked in a majority of people.

What are the three reasons mentioned earlier?

Par-Mat, Par-Chintan and Par- Darshan

First - as we progress along with the God's instructions or knowledge

We mix the opinions of other people.

Shrimat refers to the guidance of

God is an ocean of knowledge. Giving us Gyan is His highest quality.

So the first thing we get from God is Gyan.

The Gyan we get from God is his guidance.

He gives us instructions of what to think and what not to think.

How to speak, how to behave

What to eat and drink, at what time to sleep

God's knowledge is meant to uplift every soul.

If we keep following God's instructions then soul keeps becoming stronger and powerful.

Following God's instructions is right for the soul.

This we have to remember.

The guidance which we get from the rest of the world

We have already taken guidance from the World, so now we need to take it from God

Only then will come back to our originality.

Originality has power, knowledge and everything else.

So God's guidance and knowledge will make the soul perfect.

We all have to remember this

Whenever we need to take a decision in life about what is right for me

What is not right for me

We only need to check one thing - which of the options will increase soul power.

Because once soul power increases, everything else will become fine thereafter.

Many times before we say we say we need to eat this because it is good for health.

Let us drink this because it is written that it is good for our body.

It is possible that something is very good for our body.

Likewise something can be very good for our position.

Something else can be very good for our possession and property.

But is that right for I, the soul?

If it is not right for the Soul then that Karma is not right for me.

But whatever is God's will

It was there even in the past, it is there today and it will be there future also.

Where is if you go to a doctor - today they say you can eat this item, tomorrow they ask us to avoid the same thing.

Maybe that is why God says we should not mix His will with the world's will.

It is a science.

So what happens to science continuously?

Science will change but Baba's will, shall never change.

His will for us is permanent and always right.

It is eternal.

Whereas the will of the world will have confusions, they keep changing, sometimes they improve.

That is why His will is called Shri-mat.

It means the highest and the best will.

Whereas other people's will is called par-mat

Baba says that over a period of time we tend to mix par-mat with Shri-mat.

Once we get Shri-mat or Gyan of God

Once we understand what is right for the soul and what is not right

After that we don't need to take anybody else's opinion.

It might take a some time to implement because that is our journey.

We are on our journey, but once we have understood what is right

We will not have the need of taking anybody else's opinion.

That will mean we still doubt God's will.

Why did we have to take it then from Him?

Very true. And when we start doubting what happens to Soul power?

When we have a doubt how will there be any effect of the Gyan?

That is why there is a line with says - Nishchay Buddhi Vijayanti.

Nishchay Buddhi Vijayanti.

Whenever there is complete faith in our intellect

Victory is guaranteed.

So the whole day we need to check - that we have Shrimat with us.

If we are really confused about what to do and what not to do, recall Gyan

Take Shrimat and you will immediately get the answer of what is to be done.

Baba says if somebody says something

And if you feel that person is good

And you develop faith in that person.

Somebody said something.

And you believe that the person is good

You will have faith in him.

When such a person tells you something

You will feel interested

If whatever you hear is good news

If you keep the faith and listen to it

You accepted it and consumed it.

What you heard might be right and the news might be true.

Not everything will be false.

It could be true but what does Baba want?

Is it good for you to listen to it?

Does Baba desire it?

No.

Why shouldn't I listen to it?

Because we get confused. Suppose I go to a doctor and he prescribes a medicine

I start taking it but if I consult another doctor and take a different medicine

He might not agree with the first doctor's views

And then I go to a third doctor.

An entire lifetime will get spent this way.

One is about points of Gyan which we are listening.

Baba says somebody shares about something with you.

And because you have faith you will listen to it.

You said this person is good so you listened to him

Baba also says that the person is speaking the truth.

He is not lying.

But when he is sharing it with you, you accepted and consumed that information.

You did not cut it and it is a fact also.

But listening to such information

Is it right?

Is it about the information?

It can be any information.

That is just a piece of News or information which somebody is sharing with you.

Is it about what is printed in the newspaper?

Not necessarily but anybody can come and share anything with you.

It can be about anything.

We have seen in so many episodes that we should not keep on filling information.

That is the point.

People keep coming and telling us things.

Baba says that the person might be speaking the truth.

But of what use is it to me?

Any information which is not necessary for us

We should not even take in that information within us.

Waste of thoughts, energy and time.

Baba has mentioned it in the first line also.

That we are not utilising our time productively.

If we are consuming information which isn't useful then we are wasting time.

We don't lose only that duration while we are listening to it

When information goes in, it will affect our perspective.

It will affect our thoughts.

It will come into our behaviour.

We share it with 10 people and it comes into our Karma.

We even call up people and tell them this is what happened.

All these are time wasters.

All this amounts to gossip.

But Baba says that the information is true.

But if it is not of use to you

This is important and to be underlined.

So many happen in the world we only need to take what is useful to us.

Today we say the mind is creating too many thoughts.

We are unable to concentrate.

Thinking too much is affecting our body also.

It is affecting our mental health.

It is weakening the soul. Too many thoughts are because of too much information.

Somebody offered and asked me to take up a very high post in the Government.

I asked whether it will take me to my goal.

It was not aligned to what I wanted.

Otherwise I will just drift away from my path if I take it up.

The path we are on and the purpose of our life

That the soul is to be empowered

The first depleter to it is waste information.

Like Baba says, it is true but it is not useful for us.

I do not need it.

That is why Baba has mentioned all the scenarios

That the person sharing that information with us is also good.

And whatever he is sharing is also the truth.

But is that bit of information useful for you?

If it is not, then does Baba like us to listen to it?

Anything which has no connection with us

We need to check this very deeply.

When we don't have any connection with something

It is just an interesting piece of information

You cannot do anything about it

We need to check these criteria

Something which we have no connection with.

Something which we cannot do anything about.

It's just a bit of interesting information.

You cannot do anything but you just heard it.

That information has entered your intellect anyway.

Did your time get wasted or not?

Baba has used the word 'interesting'.

It could be interesting for a person who is not yet focused on Baba.

For that person other things seem more interesting.

Throughout the day, whether it is news about the world

Whether it is the news we get to listen where we live or where we work

Do you know what happened at office, do you know what he said?

What is going on there, what did he tell him

This is also information.

Even the social media we have today has information.

If we apply all this criteria to that information

Information with which we have no connection

About which we cannot do anything

If we listen to such things we waste the energy of the intellect.

Even if we open WhatsApp or Facebook today

If we observe Facebook today

Somebody is travelling, somebody is having a family meal, somebody is on vacation

All this information is true

None of them are wrong but I have no connection with it.

Information, information, information

It wastes the energy of our intellect.

If you check your WhatsApp messages today

There is a certain percentage where conversations are related to work

Everything else that comes on WhatsApp

The videos, audios, photos and posters

Baba has said all this so many years ago

That we have no relationship with such things.

We have nothing to do with it but it is just an interesting piece of information.

Whatever is happening today Baba has mentioned it years ago.

With whatever information you have no connection at all

We don't even have any connection with what is posted on Facebook.

It is the truth for somebody else.

Somebody will tweet that he is in Shimla, he is here, he is there

I am enjoying this weather.

It is the truth and it is interesting.

But we neither know him nor is that information useful for us.

If we look at it from normal perspective somebody will ask what is wrong in it.

There is nothing wrong in it.

We didn't commit any sin, what is wrong in it?

Listening to information or reading about somebody - what is wrong in doing it?

Overloading of information which is not relevant to us.

Increases the thought process

Influences the thought process

With the perspectives of other people.

Our thoughts get coloured by other people's perspectives.

And in the process the Gyan we studied might get slipped sometimes.

Today if we just underline this for ourselves

Any information we have no connection with

And something which we can do nothing about. If we can do something then it is fine.

But these two criteria.

If we can help somebody as Baba has mentioned earlier - Par-upkaar

Then it is fine.

If we can do something about it we need to listen carefully

Consume that information, work towards it and help.

Today there is a belief system

That being knowledgeable means the person has a lot of information.

The person should read and be aware of everything that is happening in the world.

The other day one sister says to me

If we don't be aware of what is coming in the newspaper or on TV channels

People college intellectually challenged.

That we don't have any information of what is happening in the world.

Today people are aware of what is happening in the world.

But they don't know what is happening in their mind.

They don't know what is happening in their house.

What is going on within ourselves?

What are the kind of thoughts we are creating?

What are the deep emotions filled with anus?

The reason is that we are feeling ourselves with unnecessary information.

Where is our attention?

The more we focus on the outer world

The more we start drifting away from our inner world.

We don't know what is happening in the outer world

Is considered by the society that you are not knowledgeable

Yes but which society?

It is a belief system and we live in that society.

It could be a few people believing that way.

We are living in that society.

Where that is a belief system.

Somebody is well read and well informed.

What about being self realised?

So we need to pay attention there.

We need to keep our focus right.

My attention should be on the seed within.

Even if we have to pay attention to the tree then which tree should I focus on?

The tree of my life.

But whatever we are discussing is relevant told you to somebody who has chosen this path.

If it is a journalist he will continue doing his work.

What is the meaning of - the one who will choose this path?

Spirituality is not a path.

Why not?

Spirituality is not a path.

Spirituality is the way to walk on your path.

Spirituality is not the path.

What is your goal?

Let your roles and responsibilities be anything today.

Whether it is an actor, doctor, businessman, Housewife or a student.

They say this is my path. Spirituality is not a different path.

Spirituality means whatever is your path

The life that you are living

That path will have your family your work place, your friends, your relatives

Or your service - whatever is your path

How do you walk that path? That is spirituality.

Spirituality is not a different road.

Spirituality is the way to walk on the road of your life.

Like home values are to be used to govern, likewise using the right means to walk on your path

Whether I want to become an actor or do a business

Walking the right path

Today we have started considering spirituality to be a separate profession and say - this person is spiritual.

Spirituality is not a separate field.

He is this, she is that, he is spiritual.

Each being, each soul will need to be spiritual if they want to be happy and healthy.

In any case every being is spiritual.

Spiritual means, the right way of thinking and living with spirituality is teaching us

It is not a separate field

It is not meant for a particular age group.

It is not restricted to a few people.

It is for every soul.

Spiritual businessman

Spiritual parent

Spiritual student

It's not student, parent, businessman, and this person is spiritual.

It can also be called righteous.

Right here.

Today if we check for our self, Physical health

Why is it getting affected?

Because our thinking is not spiritual.

Lifestyle is not spiritual.

Our diet is not spiritual.

What is the reason for mental health being affected?

Thinking is not spiritual.

Earlier people would be gauged for intelligence quotient, IQ.

Then it was emotional quotient, EQ

Today people are talking about spiritual quotient

Because if spiritual quotient is strong everything else will automatically be strong.

Spiritual quotient only means right way of thinking.

Physical health will be fine only if we start thinking right.

The mind will be fine if we think right.

Relationships will be beautiful if we think right.

We will be successful in our profession is we think right.

So spirituality cannot be a different path.

Sometimes we say - this person is very spiritual, so all these things are right for him.

We are on this side of life.

It is not about this side or that side.

I feel spirituality teaches us but there are two way to get things done - one is with anger, other is with love.

Which one will you choose?

This makes you choose the right path.

Both the paths maybe right, but what is the effect of love?

Both are not right.

Because in the short term

Right for the result.

You might feel it is right in the short-term because you get the result.

I am talking of the consequences.

Whether you spoke lovingly or created anger, work got done.

But what is happening in the long run?

Happiness is reducing, depression is increasing.

Diseases are increasing.

It didn't happen just because you scolded once.

Nothing will happen just by scolding once.

By scolding once it is only visible that work got done.

People obey you.

Spirituality gives the wisdom of what happens when you use love and what is the outcome with news anchor.

Spirituality is the foundation of your life.

The building of our life stands on that Foundation.

If the foundation is strong that the building will stand erect.

If the foundation is not strong

Even with a slight storm, the building gets shaken.

Spirituality is our foundation and we need to really explain this to us.

Spirituality is not about age

It is not about which phase of life I am in.

Spirituality should be taught to us from nursery.

That's right.

When you teach a child how to walk and speak

Right at that time teach them how to think.

In our country spirituality is a part of our culture so it is already in our genes.

So spirituality is not a separate path.

At any point when somebody is deciding what is right or wrong

We should never say we are on this side of life so we need to do certain things.

Whereas that person is on a spiritual path

There is only one path and important is how do we want to walk on that path.

This is very important

People have created a wrong image of spirituality.

Because what did we equate spirituality with?

What kind of clothes they wear, what profession they choose

This person lives in an Ashram

This person is taken up Sanyas.

Spirituality is not that. A few souls do those things.

They are also rendering a beautiful service.

They are like teachers.

Like teaching as a profession

Only because of you souls decide to teach in schools and colleges, students get knowledge from them.

Similarly few souls who have taken up Sanyas or living in an Ashram

They are giving us Gyan and they are teachers.

They are teachers who share God's knowledge with us.

But spirituality is a way of living our life.

It has nothing to do with the different path a different age group a different field

It is also not something to be chosen as a path, just because there is a challenge that came in life.

So many people ask - what happened in your life that you went in that path?

You went on to the other side, towards spirituality - so what happened in your life?

So spirituality still remains as a different path or direction in life.

But it happens isn't it?

Some people experience such a severe shock in life that they are shaken

It is possible that there is a very big situation that came in your life.

But what is the question that arises?

The question is what happened that you went into that path?

As if you are so disheartened that you just left everything behind and went elsewhere.

It is not a separate path.

We really need to keep on telling this to ourselves.

That is the only path and there is no other path.

Just like how Physical health is not a separate path.

In Olden times after the age of 50 people would spend their life in spirituality.

After they finish their Brahmacharya and after handling business they would say it is enough.

After the age of 50

It cannot be after 50.

Again, it cannot be.

It should be right from day one.

What it was is - life was divided into phases

That you will study up to this age

You will manage your family up to this age

You will retire and handover things after this age.

It gives Mukti and a sense of detachment.

But detachment is not for after the age of 50.

Detachment is not after 50.

Detachment should be from our ego.

We have to be taught from day 1.

If we spent 50 years of life with Ego and everything associated with ego.

How did those 50 years go?

And after that we said - okay, now detachment.

It's not possible and not easy also.

So it is not phases or age to say - spirituality after this age.

Spirituality means health of the soul.

Sister let us continue the Murli in the next episode

Spirituality means health of the soul.

Thank you so much.

Om Shanti.

Om Shanti.

Om Shanti.

【FILIPINO MASSAGE】MY FIRST HILOT EXPERIENCE!! - Duration: 10:41.

It's been a long time.

I'm going to make a speech about studying abroad in the Philippines in a talk with Tako.

We'll start at 11:30.

The event about a trip is taking place here.

About 200,000people come here every time.

It's a huge event.

We can know about many countries.

I'm in the area which is about overseas, but I can see domestic stuff over there.

I'm going to walk around after a talk.

It's ice cream.

They are singing!

What country song is it?

Are they singing in Tagalog?

I'm going to give a speech.

I'll give it to everyone!

Basically, I have taken videos which I've challenged things about the Philippines in.

They are for Filipinos.

I have 210,000 subscribers right now.

Most of them are Filipinos so you mustn't know about me.

I've made an effort to post videos.

If you're interested in me, please watch my videos.

Please keep eyes on us.

Tako,Fumiya: We want to ask you about some images of the Philippines.

Tako: What image do you have?

Audience: I can imagine Manila is a scary place.

Tako: Thank you so much.

Fumiya: Many people tend to have such an image.

Tako: How did you feel when you first visited the Philippines in 2017?

I went to Manila to study English last year.

But it was difficult to get information about Manila.

That's why, at first I also imagined Manila was a really scary and dangerous place.

Tako: I heard you stayed there for 6 month.

Fumiya: Exactly.

Tako: Did you get in trouble during your stay?

Fumiya: Yes, I did. But, it was totally my fault.

As I said, I'm a Youtuber and I was been gradually getting famous those days.

And ,I got carried away then.

As walking in the street, I had met a lot of my fans.

I was walking in the dangerous street at AM2:00. It was my mistake.

There were about 10 boys who were looking at me.

I thought they were my fans, so I waved to them.

After that, they were mad and chased me.

This is my experience which I felt really scared.

Tako: The boys may have thought you made fun of them.

Fumiya: I guess so.They thought I was being provocative.

Tako: What do you think of the Philippines?

Fumiya: I love Philippines so much.

Filipinos have warm hearts.

This is the biggest reason that I love there.

I'd like you who are going to the Philippines to study not to think about studying English.

From my experience, I went there to study English.

But, I became a Youtuber in the Philippines a year later.

I think it's important not only studying English but also touching with its culture.

To be honest, I'm not good at speaking English now.

But, I have confidence about how much I love the Philippines.

The feelings made me famous, so finally I can get a chance to talk here today.

Tako: That's true.

I'd like to mention that you should learn both English and culture.

I'm going to take a Filipino traditional massage called "Hilot" .

What if it'll hurt.

Masseur: You don't have to worry.

Fumiya: It doesn't hurt.

It's really comfortable.

It's awesome.

Good!

I've been exhausted because I've often edited videos.

I like it.

Tako: That looks like it feels good.

It feels really good.

Masseur: This is called "Pilo Pilo" which is a way to massage with 10 fingers.

Fumiya: The name is so cute.

Masseur: You are cuter than it.

It feels so great.

Tako: Can you sleep now?

Fumiya: Yes,I can.

Tako: It's a good way to relax because you are tired.

Fumiya: Exactly.

We appeared on the stage a while ago.

Tako: How was a talk?

Fumiya: I really enjoyed it.

I usually take part in some events for Filipinos.

But, I talked to Japanese this time and it was easier to express my feelings and ideas.

I want to do it again.

It feels good.

Tako: It seems like it feels good.

Fumiya: I'll get into it.

Tako: You look Super Saiyan.

Fumiya: Have you who are Filipinos ever tried "Hilot"?

Fumiya: Have they usually tried it?

Masseur: I guess so.

Fumiya: I feel like I became a Filipino.

Tako: Finally, you did!

Tako: Are your neck and shoulder stiff the most?

Fumiya: Exactly. I'm always editing videos so I've been tired.

I want to take it every day.

I thought it hurt but it's not true.

It feels good.

Thank you so much.

It was awesome.

My hair style became cool😂

She gave me ube ice cream.

It tastes great.

To be honest, I tried ube jelly before and I didn't like it.

But, its ice cream is good.

I've eaten it which was in Halo Halo, but it was the first time to eat only it.

It's awesome.

I tend to eat magnum ice cream when I go to the Philippines.

But, I'll try ube ice cream next time there.

I was in the overseas booth.

And I am in the domestic booth now.

There are a lot of stands about Japanese prefectures.

Do you know where my hometown is?

Let's search for Hamamatsu booth!

I found the Hamamatsu booth.

Capsule toys are here.

It is the "Ieyasu- kun".

I can see them and I feel like they say "Welcome to Hamamatsu!" every time I'm back to there.

Their names are Ieyasu-kun and Naotora-chan.

Right?

Shop clerk: Exactly.

I'll give you a magnet.

I can get a magnet.

I want this which eel is drawn on.

Can I have this?

Shop clerk: Sure.

I got the eel magnet!!

Eel("Unagi") is one of the most famous stuff in Hamamatsu.

Thank you so much.

I'm happy to get the eel magnet.

It's eel in lake Hamana.

Why Diet Breaks Can Be A Great Idea (+ How To Do One) - Duration: 9:31.

hey guys so in this video I'm going to be talking about diet brakes and whether

that worthwhile doing if you're trying to increase fat loss speed up your

metabolism and maximize your results so first of all what is a diet break a diet

break is basically a more relaxed period where you're not anal about tracking

your calories where you're not really obsessing over the food you're eating

and you're a bit more relaxed now you're not dieting anymore you can go out and

have a few beers with your friend you can eat an extra slice of pizza

you're not as obsessive about your diet and typically diet breaks lasts between

one to two weeks generally the people who tend to do diet breaks are those who

are dieting for a long period of time so if you're trying to lose a significant

amount of weight I'm talking 3040 pounds and you're really trying to drop a lot

of fat off your body this may realistically take half a year

you know 16 18 20 plus weeks so if you're dieting for that long it makes

sense to take a diet break simply for the psychological relief of you know

being in a calorie deficit all the time because this is very stressful both on

the body and the mind so taking a diet break can be very good overall for your

mindset however there are some arguments about whether a diet break is going to

be advantageous for your metabolic rate and whether overfeeding periodically can

potentially help increase fat loss overall so it sounds kind of

counterintuitive that more food could increase fat loss but there are some

logic behind it there are some myths about it and that's exactly what I want

to break down in today's video so briefly before I get into the science of

whether a diet break works I want to talk more about what exactly it involved

so I briefly touched on how it lasts between one to two weeks sometimes three

weeks but I didn't really talk about what you change in your diet basically

what you do is increase the total amount of calories that you consume and

typically the majority of the calories you're going to increase are going to be

carbs because you don't really change the amount of protein or the fat that

you consume by much even if you're losing weight or gaining

weight maybe you eat a bit more protein when you're losing weight so you have a

lot of room to play around with Cubs so the point where the diet break is to

increase your carbs and that's going to help decrease your cortisol levels

increase your libido testosterone energy overall and generally increasing carbs

and increasing your calories into a slight calorie surplus or back to

maintenance is going to help you feel great you know refill your muscle

glycogen stores feel good because that calorie deficit is stressful on the body

and at the same time not really gain too much fat so here's some of the logic

between metabolism fat loss and diet breaks and it's kind of similar to the

logic behind a refeed day which is typically one to two days where you

increase carbs and calories as you're losing weight something called adaptive

thermogenesis occurs so you can think about adaptive thermogenesis from an

evolutionary perspective so if you don't have calories around you don't have food

your body is like holy crap we're about to die we don't have food we should stop

expending energy as much as possible to save ourselves and conserve energy so

that's what your body does after a prolonged calorie deficit your body

tries to conserve energy by slowing down your metabolism slightly um and this is

called adaptive thermogenesis thermogenesis means the Genesis the

creation of heat adaptive obviously you're changing it so it's changing the

amount of heat you're producing now this is normal when you're losing weight and

it doesn't necessarily prevent you losing weight you can drop your calories

and in continue to lose weight but your metabolism may be slightly slowed down

the logic behind a diet break as well as a refeed day is that you're going to

increase your calories back up to your maintenance potentially slightly more

and that's going to reignite your metabolism right and it's true that many

studies have shown that over feeding can increase your metabolic rate by 10% okay

and you know the thing is it makes sense that an increase in metabolism would

increase the amount of fat you're losing but you also have to think about it you

know using your common sense if you're eating more

food and your metabolism is increased then that increase in metabolism isn't

really gonna be that worthwhile you know because you're eating more food now

there has been some research comparing two groups one is doing diet breaks one

isn't that both following the same calorie deficit and the research showed

that the group who did diet breaks had lower instances of that metabolic

adaptation their metabolism didn't slow down as much overall and they lost more

weight now I mean this is cool and this is great but I don't want you to expect

magic results from doing a diet break the main reason why it's worth doing is

because it's gonna make you feel better it's going to make you perform better

right and it's gonna make that longer diet more sustainable because if you

fight through feeling like crap and you're getting stress new cortisol is

high and your workouts are suffering and it becomes a process a journey that

isn't enjoyable then you're much more likely to give up but if you have a

period of one to two weeks where you can perform much better in the gym enjoy

eating more food you feel better and you don't really stall on your fat loss

because you're not over consuming a lot of food you know ideally then it's a

no-brainer to do that to make the process more sustainable and by the end

of your diet break you're most likely going to be really keen to get stuck

back into a calorie deficit and continue to see progress so as you know the lower

your body fat percentage is the higher the chance you're going to lose muscle

when you're in a diet the higher the chance that it's gonna be more stressful

on the body the body doesn't want to get lean your body does not care about a

six-pack because from an evolutionary perspective it really does give no

advantage perhaps you could argue from mating but in nature it's not really

about having a six-pack for Instagram it's more about having more fat on your

body that's gonna help increase chances of survival for you and your offspring

okay so as you get leaner it can be a better idea to include more refeed days

and diet breaks a diet break if you lean if you're under 10% and you're dieting

and you're getting really lean it can be useful every six weeks or so once a

month every six weeks if you're much and you're over 20 25 percent body fat

this is probably going to mean that you're going to be dieting for a

prolonged period of time so I don't want you doing a diet break every four weeks

in the circumstance and makes more sense to do it every two months every two and

a half months so you know 8 to 10 weeks makes more sense if you're over 20

percent body fat and if you're 15 somewhere in the middle 6 to 8 weeks a

diet break is gonna make sense now you don't have to do one if you find it

sustainable for you to simply stay in a calorie deficit do a refeed day once a

week then you can do that one of the worst things about dieting especially if

you're in a big calorie deficit is the fact that it's just stressful on the

body and as a guy this can affect your libido and your testosterone and you

know what that means sometimes right it's not the funnest time if you're

overly stressed so rebalancing your hormones is something that a diet break

can do it and it can help give you back some of those pleasures in life which

may be lost if you're excessively dieting and if you're in a very big

calorie deficit my recommendations for a refeed day are to do it for about 2

weeks 2 weeks is gonna work really good a week can be fine as well so up your

calories to maintenance perhaps slightly above maintenance and up those calories

using just carbohydrates this is gonna allow you to kick back enjoy time with

family more you know eat the foods you want and as long as you're not pushing

too much over your maintenance it's not really gonna make a big difference to

your fat loss progress especially if you're in a big calorie deficit and

you're losing two pounds per week even if for a week you go into a 500 calorie

surplus you're only gonna gain one pound so over

the long tongue that's really not gonna make the biggest difference in the world

so although we have research like this I still don't think that it's a good idea

to say that diet breaks are gonna massively increase fat loss then the

main reason why you should be doing it is just for better performance feel good

make that long journey of fat loss a bit more sustainable and enjoyable and you

know at the end of the day potentially prevent some metabolic adaptation which

is good you know that's great there's nothing wrong with that so thanks for

watching as always I appreciate it leave your thoughts in the comment section

down below and tell me whether ever experimented with diet breaks or

refeed days and how they've gone for you I'm really curious to know so I just

- Is it meatloaf?

- Chitlins are..

pig intestines.

[Inaudible]

(laughing)

But I might have the rest of my macaroni.

- Hello!

- Hello!

- So guess what, Mackenzie?

Today, we're gonna try..

soul food.

- So we're eating our souls?

Now you're talking cuckoo!

- Do you know what a soul is?

- This is a soul.

- Does it also include your stomach?

- My digestive system is my soul, too.

- Nice!

- I mean there's soul music, but..

- Soul food is the food of the interior, deep South

that's been transported across the U.S.

By African-American migrants, who left

during The Great Migration.

- Okay.

- Okay, let's do this.

- We're gonna bring a little something

to whet your appetite.

[Inaudible]

- Open your eyes.

- Oh, it is a drink.

- Cheers.

- Uh-oh.

- It's cranberry.

- Cranberry.

- It tastes like tea, kind of.

- It tastes like Kool-Aid.

- Sugar, strawberry, watermelon.

- It is called..

Red drink.

- What?

- That's what it's called?

- What even is the flavor actually?

- Red.

[Inaudible]

- In the South, red is not just a color,

it's a flavor.

So you guys will get to hang on to that,

while we try soul food.

Cool?

Soul food.

- Open!

- Yum!

- Oh, fried chicken! Yum.

- Cornbread! I love cornbread.

- Chicken and beans! And cornbread.

- These beans are--

I don't even think they're beans.

- They look like black eyes.

- Oh. It's called black eyed peas.

- Black eyed peas.

- Now you're talking cuckoo!

- These taste like Subway salad.

Now I'm gonna try the chicken belly,

I love chicken!

- I'm going to take a bite of this chicken,

do you have any sriracha?

- Yeah, yeah! You want Sriracha?

Yeah sure.

- I'm sure people who eat soul food throw

in some sriracha here and there.

- Thank you.

I'll just put it on my chicken, really.

- This soul is good.

- This chicken is good.

Keep giving me fried chicken.

- Can I open?

- You can open.

- Woah!

I like it.

- Oooh!

You like greens?

- They're good.

- So I see greens and mac and cheese, and

that.

Are you going to eat that first?

- Is that a heart?

- What is this?

- It's kinda juicy, green-y, I don't

know what that thing is.

- It smells bad, though.

- 3.. oh gosh,

2, 1.

(laughing)

- Okay.

- It's super fatty, oh my God.

- Oh I do not like that.

- Yep, nope.

- Is it meatloaf?

- It is what's called..

Chitlins.

- Chitlins? Is it from the baby..

The baby Chits?

- Chitlins are..

pig intestines.

(laughing)

- But I might have the rest of my macaroni.

- You know, intestines are just

sausage casings, but that's

really, really, really,

meaty and..

- Do you want your mom and cousin to try it?

- Yeah sure.

- No!

- Please, mommy.

- Open!

- A mini pie?

- Is this cake?

- It looks like pumpkin pie.

- Mm.

- I taste cinnamon.

- There is cinnamon in it.

It is..

Sweet potato pie.

- Wait,

I tried some, like a couple days ago.

- What?

- I actually did.

I'm serious.

- And you're sure it wasn't pumpkin pie?

- I'm sure.

They said it was sweet potato.

- It's very sweet.

And thick.

- Yeah, it's really like..

- Pumpkin pie, actually, is like

a cousin of sweet potato pie.

- They're cousins?

- They're cousins.

- Which one is older?

- The sweet potato is older.

- And which one is a girl and which one is a boy?

- Um..

They don't have genders.

- Can I have one more?

- We'll send one home with you, okay?

- Thanks for watching me try soul food!

- Comment down below what your favorite

soul food is the best.

- Bye!

- I think it's pie.

- I think it's all of them.

- I'm going all out - bye!

Trung Quốc Âm Thầm Thâu Tóm Zambia | Trung Quốc Không Kiểm Duyệt - Duration: 9:36.

On this episode of China Uncensored:

This African country now knows what it feels like

to get owned by the Chinese Communist Party!

Hi, Welcome to China Uncensored.

I'm your host, Chris Chappell.

Zambia is a landlocked country in southern Africa.

And it's poised to be the next African country to fall prey

to the Chinese Communist Party's predatory lending practices.

The news service Face 2 Face Africa gets straight to the point,

asking "Is Zambia Africa's first casualty in China's takeover

after defaulting on loan payment?"

Well technically it's not the first—

don't forget about Djibouti—

but it could very well be the next.

And it's all happening under the radar.

According to Africa Confidential,

Zambia can't afford to pay back

its multibillion dollar loans to China,

and so there are secret talks going on

between Chinese and Zambian leaders

to hand over the country's biggest energy producer.

The report says,

"The state electricity company ZESCO is already in talks

about a takeover by a Chinese company."

ZESCO supplies electricity to about 80% of households in Zambia.

So signing away control of a strategic national asset is a big deal.

But it doesn't end there.

The same report also revealed that Zambia is poised

to hand over the Lusaka International Airport to China.

That's in addition to all the Zambian copper, nickel, and cobalt mines

that are already run by Chinese companies.

And Zambia's state-owned TV and radio news channel ZNBC

is already 60% Chinese-owned.

Which might explain why you see lots of news reports lately

about Zambia-China friendship...

...but not so many reports about all those Chinese takeovers.

Of course, a Zambian government spokesperson

has gone into denial mode,

saying that "all stories relating

to the sale or takeover of public assets by China

are false."

But investigative reporters from Africa Confidential say Zambia

is getting owned by the Chinese Communist Party—literally.

Africa Confidential also warned that the long-term outcome

could be effective Chinese ownership of the commanding heights

of the economy and potentially

the biggest loss of national sovereignty

since they gained independence in 1964.

Another term for this whole thing is simply "debt trap."

"More of Africa finds itself in China's debt."

"China is saddling the partner countries with crippling debt."

"Saddling Africa with unsustainable debt."

And "debt trap" has become a buzzword that's harder

to shake off than a hater in a Taylor Swift song.

Yes, my pop culture references are very current.

At the recent China-Africa summit in Beijing,

"A senior Chinese official denied...

that his country was engaging in 'debt trap' diplomacy."

And even Chinese leader President Xi Jinping

jumped on the denial bandwagon.

He prefaced the announcement of 60 billion dollars

of new funding for Africa

with the so-called 'five nots' of predatory lending.

"(China) is determined to implement the 'five nots'—

to not interfere in countries in Africa

exploring a development path

which suits their own country's situation,

to not interfere in the internal affairs of Africa,

to not impose (China's) will on Africa,

to not attach any political strings when offering Africa support,

and to not seek political expediency

during investment and financing in Africa."

Ok. Firstly the "five nots"

is a really stupid name for a national policy.

Unless Xi Jinping means it in the elementary school sense.

"The five NOTs!"

Because they're all sarcastic.

And secondly, go back to that opening shot of the China-Africa summit.

Why are most of the Africans sitting in the back?

Anyway, while Africa's demand for Chinese cash is high,

not everybody's buying into the theory of China's good intentions.

A specialist in Chinese Studies at Britain's University of Nottingham

says interference is an inevitable part and parcel of the cash.

"Whenever you engage economically or financially

with another country you do interfere in the political structure,

or the economic structure and the power structure,

so in that sense any kind of engagement

is a kind of disturbing the status quo.

But that said,

there will at some point be conflicts

in the Chinese-African relationship."

And there's a typical formula for how these conflicts play out:

The Chinese Communist Party offers loans to needy governments.

Those governments become dependent on Chinese money.

Then, when they can't pay back the loans,

Chinese companies take over key infrastructure.

That's according to an investment advisor

and political analyst in Nairobi.

"We cannot be naive, at this point in time.

We've seen countries take on enormous amounts of debt.

We've seen hugely inflated infrastructure projects,

many of which are white elephants before the get go.

And you don't have to look very far,

whether it's Gwadar in Pakistan,

whether it's Tonga,

whether it's Sri Lanka, who gorged on Chinese credit

and then had to disgorge their port at Hambantota."

In what was pretty much a textbook definition of a debt trap,

when Sri Lanka couldn't afford its loan payments,

it had to hand over the port of Hambantota to China

on a 99-year lease.

And the Chinese regime might want to eventually

use that port for military purposes.

Not to say that's happening now

but...it's probably going to happen.

US senators aren't buying the story

of China's good intentions, either.

In a letter to the US Treasury and State Department,

a group of senators expressed their concern

over bailout requests to the International Monetary Fund

by countries who have accepted

predatory Chinese infrastructure financing.

They believe that China has figured out a clever hustle

by saddling countries with debt they can't afford to repay,

and then getting the IMF to bail these countries out

with money that comes, in large measure,

from American tax dollars.

They say the goal for China's infrastructure construction

and financing in other countries is "the creation of

an economic world order ultimately dominated by China"

and that this poses a national security threat to the United States.

I should note that this letter is signed by

both Republican and Democratic senators,

proving that the threat of the Chinese regime's global domination

is something we can all be scared of.

In the letter, the senators ask how the US can educate

African allies about the risks of Chinese predatory lending,

and how the US can provide an alternative to the Chinese debt trap.

And while those are both good questions,

for countries like Zambia,

which has already signed off on

at least 8 billion dollars of project financing from China,

it may be too late.

"Well I think in some cases it's too late.

In some cases the dominos are falling.

In Zambia you've got a eurobond price at 70 cents on the dollar.

If you follow the markets

that's telling you that basically Zambia's bust.

It's biggest lender is China,

so we're going to watch this situation now in real time

unfold in front of our eyes.

And there are a number of other situations

which are very very similar."

So what do you think about China's lending practices in Africa?

Leave your comments below.

And before we go, it's time to answer a question

from a fan of China Uncensored who contributes to us

on the crowdfunding website Patreon.

james mckay asks:

"Is it possible that the CCP's Belt and Road Initiative

will encourage manufacturing production to move to countries

with a lower labor cost?"

Good question, James.

In a way, that's already happening.

That is, cheap manufacturing is moving out of China

to even lower-cost countries, like Bangladesh.

And even with some high-end products,

we might see it start to happen.

Like how—in the midst of the trade war—

President Trump is encouraging Apple

to move production to the US.

But moving production out of China

isn't necessarily tied to the Belt and Road Initiative.

It's mainly because labor costs in China

are going up for other reasons,

and multinational companies want to make stuff

to where it's cheapest.

China's Belt and Road Initiative

doesn't exactly aim to reduce labor costs.

It mainly seeks to get cheap raw materials from poor countries,

then assemble those raw materials back in China,

and then sell those finished products

to other Belt and Road countries.

That's the goal of the Belt and Road.

Also to create debt traps that other countries can fall into.

Thanks for your question, James.

Korean traditional roof tile to be named 'treasure' for the first time: Official - Duration: 1:07.

South Korea recognizes tangible cultural assets that carry higher importance as 'treasure.'

For the first time, traditional roof tile, as a piece separate from a house, is granted

that title.

Choi Si-young explains why "Giwa" deserve that recognition.

The Cultural Heritage Administration announced on Tuesday it will soon designate the traditional

Korean roof tile as a 'treasure'.

Baked from mud, the roof tile, also known as 'giwa,' characterizes the nation's traditional

wooden architecture.

Giwa dates back to the ancient kingdom of Silla, where the tiles were produced under

a very high artistic standard.

Buddhist paintings and a bronze drum used in Buddhist ceremonies will also be named

treasures.

The Buddhist paintings are part of an exclusive and rare group of Buddhist art pieces from

the 18th century, while the bronze drum is quite significant also because its has the

year it was made marked.

In addition, the cultural agency selected a letter for treasure.

The letter was written by a king during the Joseon dynasty, and it was addressed to the

king's vassals, who were granted special royal privileges for their distinguished service.

A former deputy director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency believes...

North Korea's denuclearization CAN be achieved by 2021,... as pledged by its leader Kim Jong-un.

In an interview with Voice of America,... Olli Heinonen said... the proposed timeline

is practical,... but it needs to be supported by early action.

Instead of shipping the weapons out of the regime,... he advised extracting the nuclear

material from the weapons,... and taking only the materials out of North Korea.

A process which would only require one or two years.

Heinonen added....

Washington needs to take corresponding measures, by assisting Pyeongyang's industry development,...

but with the sanctions still in place.
