Waching daily Oct 2 2018

what is good youtube Warstu here with a video on venom so the social media

embargo was lifted last night and what people had to say are very interesting

but these are only critics and media people that they get to review the movie

before it comes out so when the actual real embargo lists tonight for the

review it'll be more in-depth so just take it with a pinch of salt because

some of them are very inconsistent so let's go over some so Brandon Davis from

comicbook.com said this action sequences and Eddie's venom odd relationship are

the highlights of venom but if Sony wants to push forward with a universe it

needs to just keep the few parts that work and scrapped the large portion of

which it doesn't so there's something consistencies there's some different but

someone else said Tom highs performance in venom is either Johnny Depp in the

first Pirates of Caribbean or Chris in Street Fighter either way it's not

boring and then there's another one that says this social embargo for venom is up

I talk about this a lot in my review but this is the movie that somehow slipped

through the wormhole of from 2004 that's the biggest take it's a movie that

spilled from the pre MCU era through a crack in time and space so let's go over

a few more an interesting one here which doesn't really go with a lot of them

venom is a one buddy film bonded with an antihero origin story and Tom Hardy

pulls it off like only he can and then there's a very negative one here sorry

to say that venom is pretty much a complete failure

a total mess that feels 15 years old and knowing that the storytelling strides

that the superhero genre has made in recent heroes a few fun venom centric

moments aside it has nearly nothing to offer don't get your hopes up so as you

can tell they are very very different venom wasn't as bad as everyone was

saying it was going to be Tom Hardy is and always will be a great actor I

laughed a lot but I'm not sure whether that was intentionally or not the post

credit is fire I'm fascinated with venom the cast seems to know all there in the

dark super a movie a sec Tom Hardy who is basically remaking Jim

Cary's laiá laiá I kind of loved watching this movie in a Rocky Horror

type of way at one point Tom Hardy and venom make out which is kind of dramatic

so then I came across a very hypocritical comment from someone on

Twitter I'm not going to mention the person's name but it's very hypocritical

and a reviewer to come out and say this is very strange

venom is the Catwoman level bad with Tom Hardy's worst performance since this

means what don't see the movie so as you can say some people liked it some people

hated it people like Brandon Davis said the CGI was amazing though the main

points are is when it's good it's good and when it's bad it's bad and it just

seems that the story is a bit weak book as a reviewer you should not tell people

not to go watch the movie you're there to criticize the movie not tell people

not to go watch it that is not a reviewers job in my opinion you are

there to say what happened did you like it do you not like it you're not there

to say don't see the movie I mean if you're lucky enough to get to go to see

a media screening you shouldn't be saying don't see this movie

I think it's unprofessional but aside from that overall reading through most

of the social media embargo most of my positive I mean it's gonna be like this

I mean because when you've got a venom movie without spider-man I'm not gonna

save spider-man in are not without spider-man essentially not being avatar

as thin it should you say then there will be backlash like this because let's

be honest most people are expecting spider-man to turn up so when they

promote it with some crazy-ass I'm going to eat you let's eat lots of people kind

of way I think this movie is gonna get critically smashed it's gonna get the

reviewers based on the social embargo I really think the reviewers are gonna

come at this movie hard but let's be honest guys there is so many movies that

critics have said are amazing let's take one the woman for instance okay I liked

wonder one but critically that movie was like the best thing since sliced bread

and realistically it was an okay movie six seven out of ten that was about 40

minutes too long so just because a critic says it's not good doesn't mean

you shouldn't go watch it now the problem with this is Tom Hardy is a very

good actor very high actor very loved actor and if this movie is bad

critically I don't think Tom Hardy will be returning for a second movie unless

this one does well and there is a really good storyline but seeing us how they

set it up with a post-credits scene I can see the second movie being fantastic

so anyway guys take all this with a pinch of salt this is not my opinion

these are other people's opinions based on what they see but some critics were

better than others obviously if you are a critic I feel like you shouldn't be

telling people not to go watch the movie that is not your job in my opinion so

anyway guys drop all your comments down below my review will be up on Wednesday

or Thursday I just not sure when is the right time let me know down below should

I drop it on Wednesday or shall I drop it on Thursday I know it doesn't come

out in America till Friday so should I even wait till Friday let me

know when I should drop the review it will be I probably do a non-spoilery

review and a spoiler review for you guys as you seem to be liking the venom based

videos every so often so anyway guys I will catch you in that next video later

on tonight gotcha

Virtual Tour of the Hubble Control Center: Entryway in Lobby - Duration: 2:55.

[background music]

Welcome to mission control for the iconic Hubble Space

Telescope. This is a virtual 360 degree tour of the facility, so

look around. You are currently in the lobby outside of the

Space Telescope Operations Control Center at NASA's Goddard

Space Flight Center where the day to day operations for Hubble

are conducted. The tour starts next to a 1/5th scale model of

Hubble. The real telescope is about the size of a large

school bus, and would weigh 27,000 pounds on earth. Hubble

works like many backyard telescopes. It has two main

mirrors to gather light from the Universe and bring it into

focus: a primary mirror almost 8 feet across, and a secondary

mirror that is one foot across. Light that enters the telescope

hits the main mirror and gets reflected toward the smaller

secondary mirror. The secondary mirror then reflects the light

back through a small hole in the primary, where it enters

Hubble's science instruments housed in the back part of the

spacecraft. Hubble has three types of instruments that

analyze light from the universe: Cameras such as its main camera

– the Wide Field Camera 3; spectrographs such as Hubble's

newest one, the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph; And

interferometers which are called Fine Guidance Sensors. In the

middle of the spacecraft there are four 100-pound reaction

wheels used to reorient the observatory. Based upon Newton's

Third Law of Motion — for every action there is an equal and

opposite reaction — turning a reaction wheel in one direction

causes Hubble to turn the opposite way. Because Hubble is

so massive, it only turns at the speed of a minute hand on a

clock. On the wall you see two images of an incredible star

nursery in the Eagle Nebula nicknamed the Pillars of

Creation. These images, among Hubble's most famous, reveal how

different the pillars appear in visible light and in

near-infrared light. The visible-light image shows small

tips that contain newborn stars and budding stars. The

near-infrared light can see through much of the gas and

dust, revealing thousands of stars behind the nebula and

inside the pillars. Further over, you see another image on

the wall of astronauts in space servicing Hubble. These

servicing missions included numerous spacewalks to help fix

and upgrade the telescope. The astronauts left Hubble in

outstanding condition in 2009 during the final servicing

mission and it is still at the peak of its scientific

capability today. Over by the windows is a tool box that was

used to transport tools into space.  Known as the Auxiliary

Transport Module, it provided storage for the tools and safe

passage to and from orbit, protecting the tools from the

extreme cold of space. Two similar enclosures flew aboard

the final Hubble servicing mission.

Wheel Covers on Quest Velomobile - Faster or not? || Saukki does Science - Duration: 9:12.

Hello, I'm Saukki!

Some time ago I made this video about how to make your velomobile faster.

In that video I said this.

And then number three, wheel covers.

Because basically the wheel and spokes are like a big fan rotating the air inside the

wheel well.

So by adding this kind of wheel cover you stop the air rotating so much inside the wheel

well.

Of course it doesn't completelly stop the air moving inseide the wheel well but it helps.

But in the comments of that video someone pointed out that wheel cover only on one side

in a closed wheel well, like the Quest have, may actually be more inefficent.

There was also a link to a german velomobile forum where someone has made some tests.

I put the link to the forum thread in the video description.

I don't understand german very well and the google translator is… well you know

how it is.

So I want to do my own tests.

So Today I'm going to test if my Quest is faster without the wheel covers.

But before we start, I'd like to point out that, this is only a problem with a velomobile

with a closed wheel wells, like my Quest here.

Of course with open wheel wells like Strada or DF you need some kind of wheel cover so

that it's more aerodynamic that way.

If I understood correctly, with this kind of closed wheel well, the best case scenario

would be wheel covers on both sides of the wheel.

But then there is the problem with brake cooling.

Brakes need some airflow to cool, so that's why we don't see wheelcovers on both sides

of the wheel because it might be dangerous, especially in hilly area.

If the guy in the german velomobile forum is right, I should be faster without these

standard wheel covers.

So let's go out and test it!

I checked the tyre pressure so there should be same pressure on all tyres.

But that's not important because I'm going to do all the tests after each other, so I

think the tyre pressure is not going to change between the tests.

But then there is just one thing I have to do before I go.

I have to do the power meter zero offset calibration.

Calibrating.

Ok, now it's completed.

And then just let's go.

Ok so about the test procedure.

This is what I have in mind.

I have here a few kilometers long road.

It's mostly flat.

And my plan is to ride this road at the speed of 50 km/h and then see what kind of power

readings I get.

And I was thinking that the difference in power between with wheel covers and without

wheel covers may not be so much.

So I was thinking that maybe I get more difference if I go faster.

So that's why let's try if I can ride 50 km/h.

And hopefully that's fast enough so we can get definite answer which one is faster.

Ok so let me show you my test procedure.

Ok so the plan is this.

I accelerate here at the downhill and try to get close to 50 km/h before end of the

hill.

And then start a new lap here at this point.

Ok.

And now let's try to keep the speed close to 50 km/h.

And then finally let's see the average power for every run.

I just try to keep the speed steady at 50 km/h.

Or close to it, so the average speed should be as close to 50 km/h as possible.

And let's stop the lap here where the speed limit changes to 40 km/h.

And… here!

Ok then, Let's go for another run.

Now let's do at least four run more.

Then we can get more reliable results.

Ok, so now I just take the wheel covers off and I store them inside the velomobile so

there will be no weight difference.

Ok now five runs without wheel covers. and according to that guy in the German velomobile

forum this should be more efficent.

Which means that I should need less power to keep the speed at 50 km/h.

So let's see.

Ok, so all tests are done now.

Actually I didn't feel any big difference.

So it would be very interesting to see the results.

So, let's go and see them.

Ok, so let's see the results.

This is going to be very interesting, because as I said, I didn't feel any big difference

between the runs.

So if there is difference, it must be very small.

Ok so I have the results here in Strava.

Now because I started a new lap at the start and at the end of the test road, I have here

the lap data.

And here the laps 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 are the test runs.

And I'm interested about the average power of these runs.

And that can be found here.

But let's also take note of the average speed, just for a reference.

And by the way, here we can also see that the test piece was 3,7 km long.

And the elevation difference was about minus 10 meters.

And that means that the average grade of the road was less than -0,3%.

So it's almost flat.

I collected the results here in this spreadsheet.

Here on the left I have the 5 runs with wheel covers on and on the right the 5 runs without

wheel covers.

And here at the bottom line are the averages of these five runs.

And we can se the difference isn't much.

It's actually only 2 watts.

But according to this I used 2 watts MORE when riding without the wheel covers.

And by the way, the average speed was almost identical in both tests.

But I bet the margin of error is greater than 2 watts.

So I think it's safe to say that there was no difference between the tests.

And I think that's quite suprising.

I didn't want to believe this test, so I figured out that maybe the test road wasn't

flat enough.

There were few very small hills, or should I say gradients, So I decided to examine these

results again and only use the last kilometer of the test route, because that seemed to

be the most flat part of the route.

With the Strava analysis tool I can select the part of the route I want, and then it

shows the data for that part only.

And here we can see the average speed and power.

I collected this data again here in the spreadsheet, and what did I found out?

There is even less difference.

Only 0,4 watts.

But this time it seems that I used 0,4 watts LESS power when riding without the wheel covers.

And again, the average speeds are pretty close to each other.

There are few variables that may effect to these results.

Like the wind.

I didn't note the wind direction or force.

But those may have been changing during the test.

Also the air temperature and humidity may have been changing and those also effect to

aerodynamics.

And then I'm not sure how accurate my power meter and GPS bike computer are.

So keep these things in mind when looking at these results.

So the conclusion is that these standard wheel covers doesn't make you faster nor slower.

But I figured out that maybe, when these covers are attached to the wheels they increase the

rotating mass and that mass maybe takes more power to accelerate.

So that's why I haven't been using the wheel covers anymore.

And the other thing is that without the covers, I can get easier acces to the tyre valve.

But so, that's all for today.

Thanks for watching and see you on the next video.

Bye bye!

Foreign YouTube 2: Thailand - Duration: 14:22.

Hi there. Welcome to the second episode of Foreign YouTube,

the series where I select a foreign country for my YouTube account, and then check out the trending tab

to watch some of that country's most popular and therefore best videos,

while presenting them to you along with my hilarious, fascinating, illuminating commentary.

It's just like traveling to that country, but without having to learn anything.

The subject of today's video is Thailand, a country with picturesque beaches,

fabulous spicy food,

and more gold medals for vaginal ping-pong than any other country in the world.

Now, I don't know about you, I could talk about reproductive organ sports all day,

but I think that'll have to wait for another video.

For this video, let's just get straight to that trending tab.

The first thing I noticed about the Thai trending tab

is that they have an insane proportion of videos related to food and drink.

I found this one, this one, this one . . . (I say "this one" a bunch of times.)

That's 15 videos out of a total of 80 in the trending tab.

Thailand, you're obsessed with food.

It's really not healthy. You might want to think about taking up another hobby.

Anyway, I watched all of those food videos so you don't have to,

and I'm going to show you some of the most interesting ones.

First, we've got "Deep Fry Chuan Chuan in Office" from "Ms Yeah."

This channel I guess is actually not Thai, but it's trending in Thailand,

so what the hell, we'll watch it.

So, the guy's pet fish have just died. Very sad.

And he decides to burn them in a funeral pyre.

Quite normal.

And then his friend, Ms Yeah, takes the tub away, because, just . . . too many bad memories.

And then she has an idea.

If you're thinking her idea is to throw the toaster into the tub of water and see what the hell happens,

unfortunately, you're wrong. That would be really cool, but it's not really Ms Yeah's style.

Instead, she gets some tools, removes the heating element from the toaster,

cuts a hole in the tub,

uses her tin snips to cut a hole in some sheet metal,

which I guess they just had sitting around the office,

installs the toaster heating element in the hole, and then . . .

toasts a piece of bread on it.

So, Ms Yeah is clearly a very handy young lady, but . . .

You removed the heating element from the toaster in order to . . . make toast on the bottom of a plastic tub.

Um . . .

in the next video is she going to show us how to . . .

remove the motor from your fridge and then

install it in your closet so that you can have a . . .

a cold closet . . .

to keep your food in?

But her plans don't end with making toast.

She's also going to put a big steel bowl on the heating element and then fill it with oil.

And now, uh, the guy from the beginning is eating his dead pet fish.

And, ya know, that should be a lesson to all of us:

Don't waste your pets when they die, people.

Feast on their corpses.

So, going back to Ms Yeah, she now has a big platter of food,

and she's going to do some deep-frying right there at her desk.

Again . . .

I mean, if you want to do some deep-frying at your desk, and your coworkers aren't bothered by that,

okay, I can dig it,

but why use this probably really dangerous toaster element–plastic tub set-up?

Couldn't ya . . .

Couldn't you just buy a little deep fryer?

Or, uh, maybe a hot plate with a—with a pot on it?

Too easy?

And, actually, that's not the only video of Ms Yeah's along those lines.

In this one, she wants to grill some food, so . . .

What are you gonna do?

Obviously, you're going to destroy a filing cabinet in order to make a smokey grill

which is probably contaminating your food with all the chemicals from the paint on the cabinet.

I guess if you were to sum up Ms Yeah's channel, it would be . . .

Hey, everyone, welcome to my new channel Mr Yup.

Today, I'm going to show you how to make a DIY kitchen knife.

The first thing you'll need to do is break a plate.

Uh, then we can grab one of those shards and use it to . . .

use it to cut some cucumber.

Don't be shy. Yeah, there we go, okay.

Uh, you can also use it to cut some butter.

And there you go. It's just like a knife.

Anyway, let's get back to the deep-frying video.

Ms Yeah does a whole bunch of frying and then invites the sad, pet-fish-eating guy over to have some . . .

I guess to cheer him up?

Eating his pet fish didn't make him happy enough?

And, they just have such a nice time eating together.

Uh, we get some lovely food-going-into-mouth close-ups.

That is always so charming.

And then the video ends with this.

So, he wants to know if she finds him handsome, and then . . .

he fries up some lotus root.

And I guess the Chinese word for lotus root, "chi ou,"

is similar to "chou," the Chinese word for ugly.

It's a sad ending?

And the next most interesting Thai food video I found was this one, from the channel Peach Eat . . .

Lake?

Lack?

I'm not really sure.

So, the subject of this video is Peach—

I'm just going to call him "Peach"—

and his friends ordering a ton of food online and then . . .

eating all of it.

I checked out some of the other videos on his channel, and that seems to be the basic formula.

It's not really about eating weird or challenging food,

or eating really, really great food,

it's just about getting a tremendous amount of food, and then . . .

devouring it.

And so, good for him.

Good for peach.

Watching people stuff their faces is fun,

and he does something really smart in this video, which is, every time there's a major cut,

he flashes the logo for his channel.

That's 15 times in one 11-minute video.

And this is such a good idea, because it ensures that you never forget what channel you're watching.

Guys.

You know, sometimes I'm sitting and I'm watching . . .

my Jake Paul,

And halfway through the video, I'm like . . .

Is this Vsauce?

So . . .

ya know.

Anyway, really smart on Peach's part, and actually.

I've

been

thinking

about

doing

the

same

thing

on

my

channel

too.

P.S. You're watching Dan Hauer's channel.

Now, there is one thing I'm going to criticize in Peach's video, which is he has an unsettling habit

of looking directly into the camera while taking a bite.

Maybe it's just me, but . . .

There's something not right about that.

And there is one other thing I want to show you in Peach's video

in order to solve a mystery of Thai internet culture for you.

Well, I did a little searching, and it turns out that in Thai, the number 5 is pronounced "ha."

So . . . "555" . . . "hahaha."

Do you get it?

It means . . .

The next video I want to show you actually was not in the trending tab, it was just in my recommendations.

This one from SoftpomzChannel.

It's got "challenge" in the title.

Can't resist that.

Now, because of the food videos we just watched, you might be worried that this is the cat-eating challenge,

but I really don't think that's the case.

A couple countries over, in Vietnam, where I live, incidentally,

cat-eating is indeed a thing,

but when I Googled "cat meat in thailand lol,"

the results suggested that it's not common there.

So I don't think Softpomz is going to be eating any cats here,

even though in the thumbnail, that does look oddly like strangling a kitten.

You're just too god-damned cute!

So let's take a look at a condensed version of this video and try to figure out what, exactly, the challenge is.

I think, and I'm not being facetious here,

I think it was the . . .

If that's the case, she failed miserably.

She was giggling the whole time.

And you know what, Softpomz, you're not the only one who can make a

"Try not to giggle and say 'awwwww' challenge" video.

Here's my version.

Okay, guys, I hope you're ready to try and hold back those giggles.

Oh, awww, it's so cute!

Well, I failed.

When I got past the rats, I thought I was home free, but then . . .

the maggots got me.

The next video that caught my eye wasn't so much because of the thumbnail.

I mean, it's kind of neat,

but the thing that really got my attention was the channel name:

"OKyouLIKEs"

I ask you, how could you say "no" to that?

So let's see what kind of intro they have.

Wow!

The only problem is that when you have an intro that great, how is the rest of the video going to live up to it?

So, in the video itself, we've got this guy who appears to be our host . . .

and this multi-use Rubik's cube furniture thing . . .

along with rotating walls . . .

and, uh . . . oooh, a disappearing swimming pool.

And one more video I want to show you is this pretty bad-ass–looking one with Ganesh.

Uh, the first half of the video is a somewhat hard-to-follow interaction among several deities.

But the heart of the video is when we get to see some of these deities . . .

uh . . .

fly through space and time.

Uh . . .

I think we ought to take a closer look at that.

All right, here we go.

Yeah, bro, I'm as amazed as you.

I went ahead and made a little supercut of the best moments

of magical animals flying through the cosmos.

Fair warning: shit's about to get a little weird.

Wow, that was pretty cool, and I—

What the hell was that?

Get out of my house, you deities!

I don't believe in you!

Well, guys, I'm now recovering from . . .

from the assault I suffered.

And I want to tell you that this video was sponsored by Logical Cameras,

the free, easy-to-use camera-buying guid.

You might be curious what I'm shooting on right now.

It's a Canon 70D, a very good camera for video,

but, of course, it's not the only option out there.

And if you're shopping around for a new camera or some new lenses,

Logical Cameras is the best place to do it.

What's cool about the site is that cameras are conveniently organized into tiers

based on price and type of camera.

So, if you know your budget, or if you know you want a full-frame camera, for example,

you can easily find exactly what you're looking for

and then compare several competitors in the same category.

Like I mentioned before, the site is totally free to use,

and it's not full of a bunch of ads or other distracting nonsense like that.

Just links to Amazon or B&H,

so you can be sure that you're getting good recommendations

and you're buying from a reputable source.

If that sounds cool to you, check out logicalcameras.com—there's a link in the description—

Virtual Tour of the Hubble Control Center: Mission Operations Room - Duration: 2:13.

[background music]

You are now in the Mission Operations Room. This is the

command center where flight engineers communicate with

Hubble. Every day they send commands to Hubble's computers

to perform daily tasks, such as coordinating the science

instruments. They also retrieve all of Hubble's science and

engineering data and make sure that none of it is missing or

corrupted. The flight engineers are also responsible for

monitoring the 10,000 plus items in that engineering data to make

sure that Hubble is operating safely and properly. If

something isn't working correctly, they follow prepared

contingency plans. Right now the team is doing routine activities

that include uplinking orbit information and clearing memory

on the spacecraft for new messages. Prior to 2011, this

room was staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But now most of

the daily functions are automated and it is only staffed

8 hours a day, 5 days a week. If a problem comes up while the

team is not present, they receive notifications on their

cell phones, which they can use to access some of the spacecraft

information and determine how serious the issue is. Depending

on the severity, they may have to come into this room to

address the issue. As you look around the room you will see a

large screen with a graphical display of Hubble that is driven

with real-time data. It includes accurate star charts, the

Earth's position, the Sun's location, and other

environmental data to allow the team to see how Hubble is

oriented. An operations clock in the corner of the room can be

set to track the length of an event, or simply display the

current time, in Universal Time - a standard time used in

astronomy and spacecraft operations. A model of the main

spacecraft computer sits in the back of the room. The actual

computer on Hubble manages the spacecraft's daily functions

such as its power, communications, and pointing,

and it monitors the health of the spacecraft. It's also

programmed to put Hubble in a safe state and be ready to talk

to the ground if a major problem occurs. An engineering model of

the spacecraft is also in the back of the room, which flight

engineers can use for reference if they need to.

Slow Flight Down The Runway - MzeroA Flight Training - Duration: 6:24.

Hey Everyone, Jason Schappert here of MzeroA.com,

If You saw my live stream last week on the topic of

If You saw my live stream last week on the topic of

secret to perfect landings, well then you heard the tip of

slow flight down the runway, it's one of my best landing tips

and I'm going to showcase that to you here now.

I'm on the left downwind for runway 23, at the Williston airport,

and I'm going to treat this just as I would a normal landing. A perfect landing

after all, starts with a perfect pattern. So I fly my pattern normally, abeam my touchdown point,

carb heat, power back, roughly 1,700

rpms in this airplane, 10 degrees of flaps, I always do it in that order,

it's very procedural for me, you know if I just added ten degrees of flaps in while the power was still at cruise,

where would the nose go? It'd want to come up, I want to make sure I get this airplane started down.

Confirm that on my vertical speed, and that is confirmed, that nice decent about 400 feet per minute,

per minute coming down, slowing my airspeed on down, I was 90 on downwind, 80 on base,

70 on final, that's what works for this airplane,

slow flight down the runway is going to teach you how to control the airplane

at its minimum controllable airspeed but with some perspective,

Williston traffic, Skyhawk 23 MZ, is turning left base 23, be a low approach at Williston

on the radio too, I announce I'm doing a low approach, if it was a towered

field, you'd want to ask them for the option, or just plainly explain to them,

I'm going to just do a low approach a few feet off the runway, nice & slow,

if that's okay, they're going to just clear you for the option, is what

their going to do, there's no real ATC terminology for that, I just say low approach

as I'm coming in here, again, on base, like a nice normal landing,

slow the plane down, add some flaps in here, 20 degrees of flaps, watching final to make sure

final's clear, treating it as though it were a nice

normal landing, then we get into the slow flight,

as we enter into ground effect, we are going to have to give a little power, and then you'll notice,

you'll have to give it a little more power, and then a little more power from there. & Williston traffic,

Skyhawk 23 MZ is turning final, runway 23, low approach, Williston

traffic. Alright, & we're coming on through, I like to add some power

What I really want to do is I want to practice holding these wheels just

inches off the runway, without touching, we don't want to kiss the runway, right?

We're just going to try and hold it there, I'm learning how to control the airplane, I want you to

when you practice this, to realize how much rudder input you need. How sloppy

the ailerons get because there's just not a lot of air flowing over them right now, they're not doing a whole lot

if you did this at cruise flight we'd be all over the place right? So a normal landing

I'm normally 70 on final, I'm 72 right now, and everything is looking

great, pitching for airspeed, powering for altitude,

just as I would for a nice normal landing.

Everything is looking fantastic here, alright I'm looking

kind of ahead of my point here, I've got everything set up.

And we're just bringing it on in, I'm going to go ahead and I'm gonna go

on final, go to 30 degrees of flaps, and we're going to come on in

make sure I'm maintaining centerline awfully nicely, coming over this lake here

at the Williston airport on 23, I got a little bit of sink so I'm preparing for that,

PAPI lights show that I'm all good

here, and we're coming on in. Now,

normal landing's what I'm making it look like, normal landing

here, power's back to idle, gliding it on in, now when I get into ground effect

I want to give it some power, and I just gave it some power, I'm holding it here,

don't sink, don't kiss that runway, holding it here, holding it here,

little bit of power, don't touch down, don't touch down, give it some power,

almost touched down, look how sloppy these ailerons are, right? not doing anything.

don't touch down, giving it some power, holding it here

looking down, taking my eyes down that runway, holding it right here,

practicing just inches off, this is going to help you with the controls

I'm dancing on the rudders more than I'm doing anything else.

My hands are relatively steady, although when I want to show you how ineffective these ailerons are, I can take it down

to about halfway through the runway, and I can go ahead and discontinue, remember I have all those flaps

in, so I go full power, and now it's like a go around procedure, full power, flaps

usually go back to 20, fly it on out here,

through 70, flaps to 10, positive

rate of climb or zero, flaps up and out, just like a nice normal

go around procedure. Slow Flight Down the runway, it's one

of my best tips to help you nail your landings next

time, you're learning control, you're learning how to just dance

that airplane just inches off the runway, from there,

everything becomes a little bit easier, you're learning control.

Do slow flight aloft first please, and then come down here to the runway, find a nice long runway to practice

slow flight down the runway. If you liked the last live stream, I'm doing

another one, November 1st, I'm doing an accident analysis,

of United flight 173, this is the seminar I traveled literally all around the world,

doing, and now I'm going to do it live for you all who weren't able to see it live on FaceBook

and on YouTube so you can check that out, it's November 1st

link's below, and also, if you didn't win the BOSE headset last month, I'm giving away another

BOSE headset this month, you can get signed up at MzeroA.com/BOSE

and I'm going to announce the winner at the end of

that November 1st seminar. So put november 1st on your calendar, be there,

We're going to learn a little bit, laugh a little bit, and we're going to give away a BOSE headset at the end.

So, listen, enjoy the rest of your day, and most importanly, remember,

That a good pilot is always learning, have a great day guys we'll see ya.

What Makes the 2018 Audi A4 a Winner? — Cars.com - Duration: 3:38.

when you think about winners certain characteristics come to mind exceptional

performance attention to detail multi-dimensional excellence it's the

same with cars and you only have to look at the Audi a4 to see what a winner

looks like it beats six competitors to win our luxury sports sedan challenge

and we named it our luxury car of the year for 2018 earlier this year

here are the key reasons it's the champ point 1 interior quality odious been a

standard-bearer for years in this area and the 8th for our shows why it has one

of the nicest cabins in the compact luxury class and a big reason for that

is the materials that are used you can see it here in this test car with this

nice brushed aluminum trim on the console and dashboard and also this

leather and Alcantara finished seats beyond that you can tell that outtie

cares about the seemingly little things that really raise your overall

impression of the car from the way the controls and the dials and buttons feel

to the inclusion of things like a center armrest that slides forward and backward

and is also height adjustable howdy didn't get everything right with the

interior though and one of the bigger misses is the interface for Android auto

and apple carplay smart phone connectivity Audis normal multimedia

system includes this console knob that operates menus on the dashboard screen

but rather than including a touchscreen so that you could just touch the various

icons as carplay and android auto were designed you have to navigate with it

using that same console control knob it works ok it's just not ideal point to

passenger and cargo room the a4 is also quite capable of comfortably carrying

people in cargo even though it's one of out these smaller sedans and the car

space efficiency really comes through when you're sitting in the backseat it's

comfortable for taller adults even with the front seat adjusted for our tall

driver and if you have seating for four adults you better have enough space to

carry their luggage but that's what you get with the a4 it's 13 cubic foot trunk

rating is a little deceiving because when you open the trunk lid you have

this very deep cargo space with not many

intrusions that would limit its usefulness and when you fold the

40/20/40 split backseat you get a sizable opening that should make it

easier for carrying big items inside the car point-three turbocharged performance

besides delivering on the luxury and comfort fronts we were also impressed

with the a 4s turbocharged 2-liter engine rated at 252 horsepower and 273

pound-feet of torque the 2-liter 4-cylinder is a smooth revving engine

that delivers strong performance with gratifying immediacy in our test of

luxury sports sedan only the Alfa Romeo Giulia was quicker the 84 we had for our

comparison tests have Audis 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission but

the one we have here has the available 6-speed manual like the car steering the

shifter has a very light feel as you flick it from gear to gear and the

clutch pedal is easy to work there are flashier and quicker cars in the luxury

compact class but few combined practicality upscale amenities comfort

and luxury as well as the a4 does it's a winning combination and it's helped

separate the car from its competition
